Welcome to the podcast. Today we go to Portland and talk to Elijah Schaefer, who has been going
00:00:06.440
to all of these protests and all the craziness going on. He gives us an update on what's going
00:00:10.560
on with Antifa there. We have a couple of guests on today. Doctors, one making the case that,
00:00:17.740
hey, masks, maybe they're not as effective as we've been told. And the other saying,
00:00:22.320
hey, they are pretty effective and here's why you should use them. Kind of going back and forth
00:00:26.020
and trying to understand not only that, but also the psychology of the pro-mask versus anti-mask
00:00:31.620
people. We also have Bill Barr, who's testifying today. The Democrats are going after Barr now.
00:00:37.660
That's their big election season push. I think it's a big mistake for them, but they're going to try it
00:00:42.540
anyway. We'll get into that as well today. Make sure to go to RadioVote.com. RadioVote.com and vote for

Glenn Beck show, which goes tomorrow and is all about some of the myths and truths about COVID-19.
00:01:23.940
We'll get into that as well. You can subscribe to the podcast here and rate and review it,

You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:01:45.760
Okay, so we have Jason on with us. Jason is our head researcher and head writer. And we were talking
00:01:58.560
about this lovely project that he unearthed yesterday. Jason, give me more of the details
00:02:08.220
of this economic forum that you that you know now. You know, the World Economic Forum. I always pay
00:02:14.400
attention to him because some of the craziest stuff comes out of there. He talked, you just talked
00:02:18.620
about the fourth industrial revolution. They're actually one of the only ones that are talking
00:02:22.100
about that. And you've talked about that a little bit yourself, Glenn, about how there's going to be
00:02:25.820
massive job loss once all this, you know, the technology revolution comes in. And they're some of the only
00:02:31.660
people that are talking about it. But the problem is, when you talk about it, and when they talk about it,
00:02:35.740
there's two completely different motives. For instance, in this great reset, they mentioned
00:02:40.380
the fourth industrial revolution, because part of their plan is to digitize everything to get
00:02:46.380
more government and private corporation control linked together. And when you hear that, it's
00:02:52.020
things that we've been talking about over the past couple months. You know, when we talked about
00:02:56.560
event 201, and that was like their war game for, you know, a virus, and they used the coronavirus.
00:03:02.780
And like a month later, the coronavirus hit that was completely separate from each other.
00:03:08.420
But the point is, they were game planning these things, because they want to fundamentally change
00:03:13.420
economic economic global economic governance, they want to completely change it, they want
00:03:18.560
more government control over private corporations. And it's not just it, it's not being presented as
00:03:27.360
control, it's being presented as a partnership, a public private partnership, which is the definition
00:03:37.640
Right, right. And when you hear the especially when you hear their leader, Klaus Schwab, talk
00:03:42.200
about it, if you're not really paying attention, you're just listening to the bullet points, you
00:03:46.600
don't hear all the little things. But I've been reading through their in depth reports. And even
00:03:50.800
those aren't really in depth, because they're leaving out the ultimate, we're taking control,
00:03:55.260
they leave that part out of it. But when you read between the lines, this stuff sounds
00:03:58.620
incredibly scary. So when I first heard him talk about this, what piqued my interest and
00:04:04.120
got me looking into it more is he goes, this might be too idealistic, but we have to try.
00:04:10.720
And I was like, Oh, wait a minute. And he goes in. That's always like a warning spot. Usually
00:04:16.220
you let's take a step back or something like that.
00:04:18.360
Yeah. We may have to kill a few people to get it done. But that's okay.
00:04:25.900
He talks, he goes into more in depth on how they're going to do this. So the first step
00:04:29.180
is they talk about redefining the social contract. Now they specifically slam. I thought this
00:04:35.280
was interesting. Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. And they said, you know what, the
00:04:40.140
time of self-reliance is over. Big government is back. Actually, I don't think they said big,
00:04:44.520
but they said government is back. They were taught. They talk about less self-reliance,
00:04:49.520
more government, global government control. They actually said government is back. Reagan
00:04:54.720
and Thatcher are of the past. Okay. They go on. They talk about the green economy. Now,
00:05:00.780
when you, when you make fun of people like AOC, it's easy to make fun of her because she's
00:05:05.180
got a doorknob where her brain should be. But there's people behind her that are pushing
00:05:09.420
this. It's very, very obvious. There's, there's actual influential people that are behind
00:05:13.700
this. The green economy is something they're really pushing. Um, cow farts are not just
00:05:18.680
funny. These are the things they're using to push this global, you know, uh, corporate
00:05:23.820
control. Um, again, they talked about digitizing everything. They want everything digital. They
00:05:29.840
want all, all records digitized, everything digital. Modifying capitalism was the shareholder
00:05:35.800
to stakeholder economy. That's kind of hard to understand. But what, from what I've seen
00:05:41.000
is they're looking at a model of capitalism where the industry focuses on social good
00:05:46.540
and not just corporate good. Again, that's kind of hard. The no, no, no, it's, it's really
00:05:53.320
not. Um, I like to call their capitalism, uh, communism, uh, or fascism because what it
00:06:00.720
is, is they say, don't concentrate on the shareholders, the stakeholders. Well, who are
00:06:06.620
the stakeholders? The stakeholders are the people who work there, uh, you know, and the, the people
00:06:13.160
in the community, those are the stakeholders. So there is no real, uh, private property as
00:06:19.920
we, as we know it, there are no private businesses as we know it. And it'll be great because, well,
00:06:27.480
gosh, darn it. You're going to be able to, uh, you're going to be able to not worry about
00:06:32.700
your business or your bills anymore. I mean, this is, this is why they have taken out all
00:06:39.140
of the entrepreneurs. Uh, and quite honestly, if you took the PPP, I completely understand,
00:06:45.040
but one of my fears on the PPP was it's going to enslave you to the government somehow or another,
00:06:51.760
they're going to use that to say, well, now we were there for you. Uh, I mean, you don't have
00:06:58.480
to pay it back, but gosh, darn it. I mean, you really should abide by these kinds of things.
00:07:06.200
I'm a little concerned about the, the PPP and I'm wildly concerned if the Democrats get
00:07:14.100
in, this is what we saw in Ukraine is just the tip of the iceberg on this. This is a global
00:07:23.340
effort, which is why it was a global effort to impeach Donald Trump. Donald Trump, I believe
00:07:30.640
is the only guy in the world that is going to stand up against this. That's why he has
00:07:36.820
to get out of, uh, of, of Washington. They won't take it any other way.
00:07:45.780
You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:07:53.340
Let me go to, uh, one more, one more doctor. And that is, uh, Dr. Karlyn Borisenko. She's an
00:08:03.980
organizational psychologist. She's, you know, a Forbes contributor, et cetera, et cetera. She's now,
00:08:09.180
uh, part of our, uh, our, our circle of friends. And I ask her to look into, because I think, Stu,
00:08:16.940
weren't both doctors pretty much saying the same thing?
00:08:19.200
Yeah. Closer than you would have thought. I mean, they definitely had some, I think,
00:08:22.540
disagreement on, on, on certain things, but generally speaking, they're saying they're
00:08:26.260
somewhat effective, uh, but you still, you know, they're not universally effective.
00:08:32.100
Exactly right. So, so Karlyn, where is this? I'm going to spray you with pepper spray. If you're
00:08:39.400
not wearing one outside, where's this coming from?
00:08:44.260
Well, I think, you know, first to take a step back, I want to do a disclaimer and say,
00:08:49.200
I am not a medical doctor. I am not speaking on the effectiveness of masks, but one of the things
00:08:54.000
that has been very worrisome for me about the whole mask thing. And I said, this was going to
00:08:59.780
happen back in March is it's, it's dehumanizing to people. We're, we're literally stopped. We're
00:09:06.140
not seeing each other as human beings when we're in this pro mask versus anti mask debate. Now,
00:09:11.240
in some respects, that makes sense because the way our brain evolved, our survival mechanism,
00:09:16.620
whether or not we're afraid that we're going to die is the number one thing that we will make
00:09:21.780
decisions on. And if we are afraid that we're going to die or be put in some sort of danger,
00:09:26.500
that's going to kick off our fight or flight mechanism, which essentially is, you know,
00:09:31.640
either you're going to fight the situation aggressively, which is what we see when we're
00:09:35.680
seeing people pepper spray one another out in public when they could just easily socially
00:09:41.320
distance, walk around, you know, separate themselves from the people not wearing masks.
00:09:45.420
Instead, they're fighting it aggressively, which is the fight mechanism of that. The other option
00:09:50.340
is of course, to run away in the other direction, to flee from what you think is going to attack
00:09:54.980
you. But you know, what is striking about this for me, Glenn, because the last time I spoke with
00:09:59.620
you, we talked about, you know, white fragility and all of that. And one of the things that I
00:10:03.260
actually think is so interesting about what's going on with the mask, it is actually mirrors
00:10:08.460
what they talk about in white fragility, which is if someone is saying that I don't feel comfortable
00:10:14.480
wearing a mask for whatever reason, whether it's simply an emotional thing, or it's actually a
00:10:19.300
medical reason that they don't want to wear a mask, that is an individual decision. Whereas,
00:10:24.680
you know, what they argue in white fragility is that individualism is bad, white people are
00:10:28.680
individuals, and that's somehow bad. And I almost feel as though, it's become so politicized,
00:10:34.040
because the two issues have become incredibly conflated. If you look at how people are speaking
00:10:39.880
about these online, you're going to see that people who are pro mask usually tend to be more
00:10:45.700
on the left, people who are anti mask tend to be though, not exclusively more on the right. And
00:10:51.420
and I think that it's really, it's kind of like this perfect storm of nonsense that has descended
00:10:57.240
onto the issue of masks, whereas what what we could be doing is exactly what you just did have a
00:11:03.940
medical discussion where you're hearing from both sides about the effectiveness of it, and approach the
00:11:08.840
situation much more calmly than it's being approached right now. Yeah, it's everything is this, this idea
00:11:17.120
that the science is settled. And if you don't agree with it, you're somehow or another an enemy of all
00:11:24.800
mankind. The science clearly is not settled. The science seems to be leaning in the direction that
00:11:32.280
a mask is better than nothing. But I don't think anybody is taking into account the effects that the
00:11:38.300
media has had on politicizing absolutely everything by blaming everybody who is as ever voted a Republican
00:11:46.780
into office as a bad guy. And everybody like Cuomo, who is a Democrat is a savior. Neither one of those is
00:11:58.300
true. They have told us different things. The science continues to change on this. And for the very first
00:12:05.280
time, we are expected to not respond or not have an opinion. And I think that is the symbol.
00:12:13.700
The mask is the symbol of that feeling of powerlessness that that that I've got a virtue
00:12:21.440
signal when you don't know what the hell you're even talking about. Because I think most people
00:12:26.920
would wear the mask. And they'd just be fine with it. You know, if they can do their part, some won't,
00:12:34.180
I get it. But if it wasn't for this politicization of all of this, if it wasn't that you are somehow or
00:12:43.380
another a horrible human being, it becomes almost a badge of honor to not wear the mask, just as much on the
00:12:54.060
Mm hmm. Yeah, I absolutely agree. And another part of this, too, is that there are legitimate
00:13:00.600
medical reasons why people might not want to wear a mask, whether that has to do with a medical
00:13:05.660
condition where they may struggle to breathe in it or a psychological condition, like if they struggle
00:13:10.200
from depression or anxiety or claustrophobia, there could be absolute reasons why a mask is not the
00:13:15.540
best choice. And, you know, in a civilized society, we would say, well, if you can wear a mask,
00:13:21.240
you should because there are people who can't. But that's not what's happening. We're seeing people
00:13:25.940
who have very legitimate reasons. And by the way, organizations, stores, businesses, they are not
00:13:31.440
allowed to ask what the medical reasons are. That's your private information. And we're seeing these
00:13:37.400
people be turned away or shunned. I mean, I look at the case that happened to Brandon Strzok from the
00:13:42.860
walkaway campaign probably about a month ago is he got kicked off an American airline flight for not
00:13:48.420
wearing a mask. And it created this whole hullabaloo. And I actually talked to him later in the day.
00:13:53.120
And he said, Carlin, they didn't even ask me if I had any sort of medical condition. So we've reached
00:13:58.880
the point where the benefit of the doubt is just not given at all in these scenarios. And instantly,
00:14:04.840
the person who was not wearing the mask is demonized. Yeah. Carlin, thank you so much.
00:14:10.400
We'll talk again, Carlin Borisenko. And, and what she has to say, I think is is so very valuable.
00:14:21.740
I know Pat doesn't wear a mask. And the reason why Pat doesn't wear a mask is because he has
00:14:34.980
You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:14:40.400
William Barr is about to testify. We stations are going to be covering his opening statements.
00:14:59.380
Yesterday, Fox News broke the story of his, his opening of his testimony. Yet I, I look,
00:15:09.040
I just searched on Google for, uh, William Barr testimony and, uh, see, I've got, uh, I've got
00:15:17.320
NPR, uh, I've got CNN, the Hill, ABC news, NPR, New York times, New York times, New York post,
00:15:25.580
PBS business insider page two, YouTube slate, the Hill, the Hill time, Washington post, ABC,
00:15:35.680
New York, New York, seven, political, CBS news, page three, ABC, Washington examiner.
00:15:43.960
That's the first one. That's been a conservative, uh, NBC news, the daily beast, CNBC, USA to, uh,
00:15:57.120
Still no Fox news report fact check, Chicago tribune, ESPN, C span news week, Detroit news,
00:16:07.180
KBTX, New York, Fox five, W F T, uh, uh, W U F T, W M C a action news five.
00:16:20.560
I am on page five, still nothing from Fox news, page six, still nothing from Fox news.
00:16:49.140
If it's interesting trying to get your news, uh, today, especially I thought these surgeons
00:16:54.260
were supposed to get to know you and provide the things that you were looking for.
00:16:59.120
How does it mistake me as not wanting something from a conservative point of view?
00:17:08.920
You'll be able to hear it live as, uh, William Barr testifies, you know, cause they're,
00:17:14.440
they're trying to impeach him, but, uh, apparently he's going to blow the doors off.
