The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guests： Jason Whitlock & Ken Paxton ｜ 5⧸25⧸22

00:00:00.960 Today was a pretty explosive show.

00:00:06.920 We're trying to make sense of what happened here in Texas and having a discussion that I don't think others are really having.

00:00:16.780 And we continue that discussion tonight at 9 p.m. on the Glenn Beck television program.

00:00:24.260 Mark Levin's going to be my guest. You don't want to miss it tonight, 9 on BlazeTV.com.

00:00:30.480 But here's the program. And we start out with, I think, just telling the truth in a way that I haven't heard anywhere else.

00:00:48.220 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:00:52.300 I want to talk to you about the shooting here in Texas.

00:01:01.080 And the last thing I want to do is divide people even more. 0.90

00:01:16.040 It pains me to think about the political garbage that has happened in the last 12 hours. 0.57

00:01:30.600 And it pains me because I believe that we are on the verge of losing our nation. 0.99

00:01:43.820 And the reason why we're about to lose our nation is the same reason that some kid walked into an elementary school and shot and killed people.

00:01:58.440 Kids.

00:02:10.920 It's not the gun.

00:02:16.140 Our kids are committing suicide.

00:02:17.980 Is anybody saying it's the rope?

00:02:32.620 It's really the same with fentanyl.

00:02:35.360 You can have the biggest drug war you want.

00:02:43.320 But if people desire it, it will continue to get through.

00:02:49.620 Why are our kids taking this?

00:03:07.100 Was it the gun?

00:03:09.740 Was it fame? 1.00

00:03:11.140 I just want to shoot a lot of people, so I'll be remembered. 0.99

00:03:18.520 Maybe that played a role. 0.99

00:03:29.100 We are a nation that.

00:03:32.220 I don't think God could point out any clearer.

00:03:35.480 I mean, I don't think any psychiatrist who's worth his salt and not talking about politics, I don't think anybody in history will look back to our nation 100 years from now and say, yeah, it was the gun.

00:03:57.720 Or it was the abortion doctor.

00:04:01.940 No, it's the people.

00:04:03.400 Something has changed in us, and it's not for the better.

00:04:10.120 And please don't tell me about how much you care about kids.

00:04:18.920 I mean, I guess the kids matter.

00:04:21.500 I don't want to even get into that.

00:04:24.200 Look, here's the thing that we have.

00:04:26.640 Just hear me out.

00:04:28.380 Why are our kids shooting kids?

00:04:35.720 Why are our kids committing suicide?

00:04:39.100 Why is fentanyl all over in our society?

00:04:48.440 I mean, the crack problem that we had back in what was the 80s or the 90s, that was that was nothing compared to this.

00:05:02.580 And this is also the white community.

00:05:05.660 This is happening in the affluent communities, at least here in in in Texas.

00:05:11.540 That's where all of the deaths are occurring.

00:05:14.980 So it's all these kids who have all this privilege.

00:05:20.560 Why?

00:05:28.380 Why are our kids joining gangs?

00:05:30.760 Those are symptoms.

00:05:43.820 And I don't hear anybody, anybody on any side actually talking about, look, I don't want this to happen in another school with another child.

00:05:55.900 And if you are somebody who really has never been around guns, you don't understand guns, or you've just been listening to the media and you don't understand the importance of the Second Amendment.

00:06:13.700 I get it.

00:06:14.680 I really do.

00:06:15.720 And it's it's so easy for all of us to say, yeah, well, this is different.

00:06:24.460 No, it's not.

00:06:27.100 That's why we have the Bill of Rights to stop us from saying this is different.

00:06:35.100 You know, the first shooting of a teacher happened in 1840.

00:06:45.680 That it was in a college.

00:06:48.460 The first the first shooting in a school, an elementary or high school.

00:06:56.020 Was in 1853 or 54.

00:07:01.960 And it was in Kentucky.

00:07:05.100 I've been telling you for a long time, we are in the 1850s.

00:07:12.220 We're repeating the pattern of the 1850s.

00:07:16.380 Hate.

00:07:17.880 Bias. 0.86

00:07:20.660 Tearing people apart.

00:07:22.260 Splitting the nation into. 0.89

00:07:27.920 We had the COVID lockdown.

00:07:29.800 Do you know, one of my staff members was in Melbourne, Florida yesterday at a zoo in Melbourne.

00:07:39.560 The bird flu is going around in Melbourne.

00:07:42.360 And they were telling where they were telling my staff member that we decided to bring the birds out.

00:07:49.740 We were thinking about putting them in isolation to protect them from the bird flu, which is going around.

00:07:55.420 But we decided it wouldn't be good for them to keep them in isolation.

00:08:03.920 The birds.

00:08:05.700 The birds.

00:08:08.700 Our kids have been isolated.

00:08:11.360 Our kids have been alone.

00:08:14.080 Can you imagine being a kid today?

00:08:16.740 Imagine just the COVID disruption.

00:08:22.460 I don't have to imagine it.

00:08:24.160 I am living it with my kids.

00:08:26.740 But at least I have high school and and elementary school as fondish memories.

00:08:33.680 What is their memory?

00:08:37.740 What is their base?

00:08:40.160 Meanwhile, nothing is solid.

00:08:44.040 Nothing is solid.

00:08:46.640 But where can you can you depend on your family?

00:08:49.200 Families are breaking up.

00:08:50.820 Can you depend on your parents?

00:08:52.560 Your parents, your teachers are being are teaching your kids that your parents can't be trusted.

00:08:58.100 Can you trust on God?

00:08:59.680 No one talks about God.

00:09:03.680 What's real in our society?

00:09:08.920 Nothing.

00:09:10.260 Our kids will sit next to each other on social media.

00:09:13.960 They won't talk.

00:09:15.160 They'll text one another.

00:09:19.720 Why are why are the gangs?

00:09:25.660 Who's joining these gangs?

00:09:28.000 People who feel like they have no family.

00:09:33.680 People who are looking for a sense of belonging.

00:09:41.820 How could this boy even go in there and shoot these kids?

00:09:46.540 I don't know.

00:09:47.760 I really don't know.

00:09:49.100 But I can tell you it's not the gun.

00:09:56.340 It was something in him.

00:09:59.160 And are we even looking at those who have pronouns that are him, he?

00:10:06.880 We have devalued men.

00:10:09.480 We have destroyed men.

00:10:18.160 There is no regard for human life.

00:10:20.700 How can you be a kid and hear the argument that it's always a woman's choice to kill her baby? 0.88

00:10:32.080 Always.

00:10:33.460 Not safe, legal and rare.

00:10:35.900 Always. 1.00

00:10:36.500 That that baby could be born in 10 minutes, but I'm going to go in and kill it. 0.99

00:10:45.880 But where's the value of human life? 1.00

00:10:55.740 The hatred that is being poured down our throats.

00:11:02.600 The class division.

00:11:05.380 The racism.

00:11:06.280 Make no mistake.

00:11:07.440 It is intentional.

00:11:09.220 It is intentional. 0.70

00:11:14.000 The best way to destroy a nation is to cut it apart.

00:11:21.960 This is Marx.

00:11:32.400 And everybody wants to seem to be God.

00:11:34.620 Everybody thinks that they're God.

00:11:41.880 In our society, where are the ethics?

00:11:45.220 What are ethics?

00:11:48.440 It's your truth versus my truth.

00:11:50.900 There is no absolute truth.

00:11:54.860 Well, in a world where there is no truth,

00:11:58.940 who gets to be God?

00:12:04.620 Well, it depends on which group you're in, I guess.

00:12:10.280 It's.

00:12:11.980 It's just when you decide something is important, I guess.

00:12:16.280 We have decided as a nation school shootings have to stop.

00:12:20.540 But gang shootings, all those people killed in Chicago mean nothing.

00:12:26.500 No, that's acceptable.

00:12:27.780 I'm going to get to all the news of the day and more perspective here in a minute.

00:12:45.040 But I just had to start with.

00:12:50.120 We're not serious.

00:12:51.320 This, too, is politics.

00:12:56.440 The argument for guns against guns.

00:13:01.520 That has nothing to do with this. 0.53

00:13:04.200 They'll kill each other with their bare hands. 0.99

00:13:07.820 They'll use rocks. 1.00

00:13:08.960 They'll use knives.

00:13:09.880 Look at Britain.

00:13:11.860 We have to be brave and do what Britain and Australia did.

00:13:14.660 Do we?

00:13:15.140 Do we?

00:13:15.540 Really?

00:13:15.740 Because now they're just now they have to ban steak knives, kitchen knives.

00:13:21.180 I'm not making that up.

00:13:22.700 That's true.

00:13:24.980 Why?

00:13:25.500 Because there's rot in the soul.

00:13:31.000 And until we live in a nation that is willing to even recognize.

00:13:37.300 That there is something bigger than the self.

00:13:40.200 And it has nothing to do with government.

00:13:46.060 We'll never fix this problem.

00:13:50.760 If everyone within the sound of my voice.

00:13:54.840 Would just take the day to say, let's not make this about the Second Amendment pro or against.

00:14:02.640 Let's not make this about Democrats and Republicans.

00:14:05.840 Let's just make this about what the hell is going on.

00:14:12.140 Because everything in our society is falling apart and we are acting.

00:14:18.560 Do you know in the 1960s, a kid could go in and buy a handgun?

00:14:22.980 And I mean a kid.

00:14:24.100 I could have sent my kid with a note that said, hey, I want him to pick up this gun for me in a box of bullets.

00:14:32.360 And I'm not even sure you needed the note.

00:14:34.500 So why weren't kids killing everybody?

00:14:40.560 I don't know.

00:14:43.040 Because the, as sick as we were there, the system, the center held because there was something that was uniting us to truth and decency.

00:15:00.280 That's gone.

00:15:01.520 That's gone.

00:15:04.500 All the world's problems, all of America's problems, they are not disconnected from each other.

00:15:13.040 What the Fed has done is tied right directly to the school.

00:15:19.220 Wokeness, we're tied directly to.

00:15:21.520 Hatred, tied directly to it.

00:15:24.360 CRT, bathrooms that anybody can use.

00:15:28.680 All of these things are all tied together.

00:15:31.180 They are not separate. 0.93

00:15:35.600 And until you're willing to have that conversation, the rest of it is bullcrap.

00:15:41.760 Back in a minute.

00:15:42.460 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:15:49.920 Fearless with Jason Whitlock on Blaze TV.

00:16:13.380 Welcome.

00:16:14.100 How are you, sir?

00:16:14.720 I'm awesome.

00:16:16.700 Thank you for having me, Glenn.

00:16:18.300 So I saw two tweets from you yesterday.

00:16:22.860 The wickedness in Texas will not be solved via Twitter outrage.

00:16:29.040 Look much deeper if you can.

00:16:31.900 That's exactly the message I've been trying to bring in my broadcast today.

00:16:36.260 That there's something else that nobody wants to look at that's going on, and it ain't the guns.

00:16:43.320 Well, I think everybody's prescribing a secular problem. 0.70

00:16:49.200 Yes.

00:16:49.520 I mean, a secular solution for a spiritual problem.

00:16:53.380 And we have to look at the motivation and not focus on the mechanism, the gun.

00:17:02.160 And I want to know what's going on with young people and people in America.

00:17:09.020 What environment, what culture have we set up that's creating this level of wickedness?

00:17:15.560 So, Jason, I said earlier on the program that everybody's trying to isolate this from everything else.

00:17:24.700 But our kids are killing themselves in record numbers.

00:17:28.940 They have mental health issues because of isolation in record numbers.

00:17:33.560 We have gangs killing people in record numbers. 0.97

00:17:38.540 Society is really sick, really sick.

00:17:43.740 And nobody wants to look at the whole thing and say, what's changed here?

00:17:48.840 Because you could be, you know, eight and go in and buy a handgun at your local gun store back in 1959.

00:17:57.640 And they weren't shooting people up.

00:17:59.240 Yeah, Glenn, what I find fascinating about the people that want to look at the mechanism, the gun,

00:18:08.200 and there's a greater mechanism killing young people than guns.

00:18:12.060 Far more American young people will be killed by drug overdoses, far more than guns in the next calendar year.

00:18:21.260 But the same group that wants to demonize the gun wants the proliferation of drugs.

00:18:29.660 They want more drugs.

00:18:30.740 They want it more legalized.

00:18:32.280 The tool that's killing more young people than anything, they want spread out and more accepted through our culture.

00:18:41.180 And so we just don't.

00:18:42.960 Why are kids turning to drugs, violence, and sex?

00:18:46.640 They're looking for relief from a culture that we have created that isolates them, leaves them to be babysat by television,

00:18:56.760 smartphones, computers, social media apps.

00:19:01.100 And I don't think it's shocking that the young people that were interviewed that knew this kid said, yeah,

00:19:07.680 he turned dark a couple of years ago and, you know, went into this emo lifestyle or alternative lifestyle two years ago.

00:19:17.800 Around the time, you know, we sent kids home from school, made a mask up, and turned everything into DMs over computers.

00:19:28.040 The guy's DMing some woman in California that he'll never meet, never talk to.

00:19:33.680 He's family structure is under attack throughout the country and throughout the culture.

00:19:43.160 And we've turned children into a choice.

00:19:49.200 And that's why we, and it's a woman's choice to be made while the child is in the womb. 0.99

00:19:55.080 Children are an awesome responsibility granted to us by God.

00:20:01.660 They're not a choice.

00:20:03.080 They're a wonderful responsibility that we are neglecting, and we keep creating a colder and more isolated and more detached world for them

00:20:14.580 while we pursue our true selves, while we pursue financial riches and a second home and a third car and an extra bedroom and more square footage.

00:20:27.360 And, you know, we've devalued the family, and we've devalued God's natural order, man, woman, and child.

00:20:35.920 And that whole family, we're interested in disrupting it and think that, hey, a village, a village can raise our kids. 1.00

00:20:43.740 A village is going to raise a lot of idiots and monsters. 1.00

00:20:47.360 And I will tell you that it is, it's kind of like COVID, where put a mask on it, and we don't know where it came from. 1.00

00:20:58.160 And if you ask a question, you know, you're just, you're a conspiracy theorist.

00:21:04.080 We didn't want to find the answer of where that came from or find any real truth.

00:21:09.060 It was used.

00:21:10.120 It was used for other people, either to make money or gain political power or whatever.

00:21:16.680 The same thing is happening here.

00:21:18.500 Just by talking about guns, it is, we're repeating the pattern of we don't want to really look into where this came from.

00:21:28.220 And we're devaluing, you know, you say we're devaluing these things, you know, especially God.

00:21:36.200 We're not devaluing them.

00:21:38.180 We've eliminated them, and we're worshiping the opposite of God and truth.

00:21:44.420 There's no question, and again, today on my show, we do it every Wednesday.

00:21:50.900 We talk to two pastors, and we're going to talk about demonic forces that are running rampant in America.

00:22:00.540 And we're not going to talk about it in some spooky way, but we are codifying into law, into custom, into culture,

00:22:09.320 things that are in total objection to a biblical worldview.

00:22:15.860 Yes.

00:22:16.560 And if we don't address that, and that's what I mean by demonic forces.

00:22:21.680 It's not some spooky thing that you can't see or touch or whatever.

00:22:27.420 When you start codifying laws that are anti-family, anti-God's natural order, man, woman, and child,

00:22:39.500 and you start promoting that any type of family structure or no family structure is just as good as the natural order.

00:22:49.500 Or better.

00:22:50.660 Yeah, or better.

00:22:51.720 That's a demonic force.

00:22:53.260 That's you're adopting a mentality that leads to the kind of chaos, destruction, and just rampant wickedness

00:23:00.860 that we don't know from day to day who's going to snap next. 0.87

00:23:05.920 And it could be a white person. 0.98

00:23:08.000 It could be a black person. 0.97

00:23:08.860 It could be the Ramos kid or whatever.

00:23:11.640 But we're all living in this pressure cooker where we're rejecting the culture that made America great.

00:23:20.360 But we're rejecting it. 1.00

00:23:22.700 And these idiots think they have something better, and they don't. 1.00

00:23:27.440 All they know how to do is tear down what was built. 1.00

00:23:31.720 They don't have solutions.

00:23:34.060 They don't have something build back better.

00:23:37.120 I'd love to hear the better.

00:23:38.400 Well, they can't do it, I mean, because really all they have is tear down,

00:23:45.120 and then it becomes the solution that always ends in death and starvation.

00:23:50.000 But, you know, their whole thing, I mean, Michelle Obama told us this.

00:23:54.920 Barack knows we're going to have to go to uncomfortable places.

00:23:59.740 We're going to have to change our history.

00:24:01.880 We're going to have to change our language.

00:24:03.580 We're going to have to change our traditions.

00:24:06.720 That's what they've been doing is dismantling all of those things.

00:24:10.780 And nature abhors a vacuum.

00:24:13.760 And when we got rid of God in the schools, we had a vacuum for a while.

00:24:19.420 Now that vacuum has been filled, and it has been filled with anti-Christ teachings,

00:24:26.700 things that go against what Christ taught, an anti-Christ teaching would be there is no forgiveness

00:24:35.040 because of the way you were born or what your skin is or what the sins of your father.

00:24:41.400 That is anti-Christ teaching.

00:24:44.780 And I don't think people, you know, Christians should really start to understand, you know, 1.00

00:24:51.980 I hear, oh, Jesus must be coming because only he could solve it.

00:24:55.500 Yeah, well, we're teaching our kids and allowing our kids to receive anti-Christ instructions.

00:25:06.160 That's not going to bode well for them in the future.

00:25:09.700 Not at all.

00:25:11.040 And obviously, we're on a topic that I love to talk about and discuss.

00:25:16.300 I really don't want to, I regret somewhat distracting from that.

00:25:20.360 But let's say you're someone listening right now who's not religious and just don't have faith.

00:25:26.900 Yeah.

00:25:27.340 But again, America's greatest value, the thing that we offered, was freedom.

00:25:33.900 And freedom is under attack.

00:25:36.360 And I say that because, Glenn, I used to be a person seven, eight years ago that was anti the Second Amendment.

00:25:42.620 I didn't understand what the gun and the right to bear arms, I didn't really understand its importance.

00:25:50.340 But it is our guarantee of freedom because governments, when not in fear of the governed,

00:26:00.260 will seek more power and control and will strip you of freedom.

00:26:04.080 And that's why the founding fathers said, hold on to this gun, because this government that we build,

00:26:09.660 it has a natural instinct to seek power and control.

00:26:13.760 And if they don't fear you and your ability to defend yourself, they will strip you of your freedom.

00:26:21.400 And that's what's going on.

00:26:23.580 Once I fully understood, like, what their thinking was behind these principles in the Second Amendment,

00:26:31.720 and then once I saw and recognized, like, oh, my God, they will strip us of our freedom of speech, freedom of thought.

00:26:40.720 I'm looking at them do it through big tech and these social media apps.

00:26:45.460 And then, literally, if anybody hasn't wakened up in the last two years when they're trying to force these vaccines on healthy people

00:26:54.540 to protect old people and fat people, and I'm fat, and unhealthy people,

00:27:01.560 when they're forcing these vaccines on young people and things like that, corporations are required.

00:27:07.660 And I'm like, oh, my God, if we don't have the ability to protect ourselves,

00:27:14.880 they will strip us of all these freedoms that we once took for granted.

00:27:20.120 So even if you're not a believer, a freedom is under attack,

00:27:25.840 and freedom is the greatest resource that America ever had.

00:27:30.240 It's the strongest thing we had.

00:27:32.420 We need to hold on to it at all costs.

00:27:34.720 And I will tell you, you don't have to believe in religion to see the benefits of religion.

00:27:40.120 You can see the bad things.

00:27:41.600 I mean, if you're honest and you're a religious person, I don't care what religion you are.

00:27:48.800 Horrible things have been done in the name of God.

00:27:51.620 Horrible things.

00:27:52.700 But also really good things, and that is what created this nation and kept us stable.

00:27:59.280 Don't believe me, when did problems start to happen?

00:28:02.400 They started happening in the 50s, or sorry, in the 60s, when we started to remove God.

00:28:08.700 Things got really bad when man decided he could make his own religion, and that's wokeism.

00:28:16.040 And it is a religion.

00:28:18.140 You will either kneel at the altar or you will be depersoned, period.

00:28:23.180 Also, as you would talk about the 50s and 60s, don't forget the good things that happened because of religion.

00:28:31.720 The civil rights movement and the removal of the removal of憑idical laws, that's led by religious people, Christians.

00:28:40.400 So was the Civil War.

00:28:43.540 No question.

00:28:43.980 So was the Civil War.

00:28:45.460 Thank you so much, Jason.

00:28:46.520 I appreciate it.

00:28:47.140 Jason Whitlock, you can find him on the Blaze TV.

00:28:50.580 He's fantastic, really fantastic, and brings a really different and common-sense point of view.

00:28:57.500 You can find him on Blaze TV.

00:28:59.600 Don't forget, tonight at 9 p.m. on my show on Blaze TV, Mark Levin and Ali Stuckey join me on the real replacement theory

00:29:08.620 that America should be worried about and paying attention to.

00:29:22.120 There's a case coming out in the Supreme Court, and good money has been placed that it is going to come out

00:29:31.200 in defense of the Constitution and against the New York State gun laws where you have to prove you're in need.

00:29:39.040 And by the way, so you know how restrictive this is?

00:29:42.420 I had 15 credible death threats on me going at all times, at all times while I was in New York.

00:29:49.980 I couldn't get an exception for a gun.

00:29:53.780 Okay?

00:29:54.140 Yeah.

00:29:54.600 Take you two years to prove, excuse me, 15 credible, I mean, I have people working.

00:30:01.200 I don't have a reason to explain the way this law works.

00:30:05.840 So you have to, of course, be in their law.

00:30:09.340 You must apply for a license, must be 21 years old, have no criminal record, have good moral character.

00:30:15.700 Yes, gee.

00:30:16.680 Good thing we have that.

00:30:18.540 Yeah.

00:30:19.180 And you have to demonstrate the need to carry a gun beyond average public safety fears.

00:30:27.140 Now, of course, it's completely ridiculous that you did not prove that.

00:30:32.500 You have tons of death threats against you all the time. 0.94

00:30:34.980 Right.

00:30:35.520 But why do I have to say that?

00:30:36.720 As a public figure.

00:30:37.500 And by the way, kids should be able to carry guns in school then.

00:30:40.060 They should be issued a gun.

00:30:41.480 You're telling us how much worse it is.

00:30:43.180 Yeah.

00:30:43.400 Which, you know, it's interesting.

00:30:44.860 But if it is a right, by definition, you should not have to prove you have a need beyond average.

00:30:55.560 Right?

00:30:55.760 Like, if it is a right, just fundamentally, you should not need to prove you need.

00:31:02.320 Let's take this out of the gun realm.

00:31:05.440 That's why the left is arguing that abortion is a right.

00:31:12.320 Because if it's a right, you can't regulate it.

00:31:15.960 If it's a right, they do have the right to terminate a child any time they want.

00:31:22.580 As much as I hate abortion.

00:31:23.980 Right.

00:31:24.160 If it was written in the Constitution that a woman had a right to get an abortion, what 1.00

00:31:30.000 I would have to fight for is a constitutional amendment to get rid of that.

00:31:34.100 I would not be able to come up with fancy little restrictions all over the place.

00:31:37.200 But that's what they say, too.

00:31:39.020 These, these, all these restrictions that they're passing, they can't do that.

00:31:42.740 This is a right.

00:31:43.760 It's an unrest.

00:31:44.720 That's why in those states like New York and California, they are saying it's a right

00:31:50.060 and it will be unrestricted in those states.

00:31:52.560 So that means you don't believe in the right that is actually written down.

00:31:59.620 You believe in a magic fairy right of abortion, but not the one that was written down.

00:32:04.820 Right.

00:32:05.200 And it's very clear.

00:32:06.920 This is what makes me so cynical about these efforts to fix these problems afterward.

00:32:13.160 You have a situation where there are a lot of different approaches you could take to try

00:32:16.940 to help this.

00:32:17.560 You're never going to eliminate it completely.

00:32:19.140 But to try to do it, you can put security in schools.

00:32:21.540 You could, uh, you could, um, work on mental health.

00:32:25.840 You can talk about violent video games.

00:32:28.760 If you want, you can talk about guns.

00:32:30.860 You can talk about all of these things that you think red flag laws, all of these things

00:32:35.540 that you think might make a difference.

00:32:36.920 And we could talk about their validity, but the only one the left ever cares about is the

00:32:42.020 one that is the, the highest fruit in the tree.

00:32:45.240 None of the low hanging fruit.

00:32:46.400 Do they care about it all?

00:32:47.300 They only care about the thing that is guaranteed in the constitution, right?

00:32:52.860 Why would you target to fix this problem?

00:32:55.680 The only thing that has a massive barrier in your way, which is the second amendment.

00:33:02.040 You can't do.

00:33:03.740 It's almost like they're looking to upend our foundations instead of actually solve this

00:33:08.080 problem.

00:33:08.540 It's not going, you're not, you can't do it unless you get rid of the second amendment. 0.84

00:33:15.500 Now I know they want to get rid of the second amendment. 1.00

00:33:17.880 They should explicitly argue for that and see how it goes.

00:33:21.100 Well, I will tell you, they could be able to do it if they get their wish.

00:33:26.060 And I think the gun ruling, you know, even if they were going to go with the gun ruling,

00:33:30.560 I think somebody, if it's close, I think Roberts is going to say, hey, we don't want to get

00:33:35.520 into that.

00:33:36.400 Oh, let's, so we already have abortion. 1.00

00:33:37.880 Let's not overturn that.

00:33:39.100 But if they do, that will be their road to the, um, uh, to packing the court.

00:33:44.620 I'm convinced of it.

00:33:45.740 Hang on just a second.

00:33:46.520 We have attorney general of Texas, Ken Paxton, who won the primary, uh, last night.

00:33:51.400 Congratulations.

00:33:53.000 Thank you.

00:33:53.720 We, uh, we did what you wanted, which is, uh, we ended the Bush reign here.

00:33:57.420 Yeah, good.

00:33:58.020 Thank you very much for that.

00:33:59.180 Okay, let's, let's have a conversation about the, the kids and the teacher that was killed

00:34:06.420 in teachers, two of them now killed, uh, yesterday in an elementary school.

00:34:11.680 Um, we don't need to go through all the thoughts and prayers.

00:34:15.400 We obviously all care about the, the community and the family and the families and the school.

00:34:21.880 How could this been prevented, Ken?

00:34:24.400 So we passed laws when I was in the Texas Senate, I think it was 2013 that would have,

00:34:32.060 I think, helped greatly.

00:34:33.600 There's, there's no way that law enforcement can get to every location, uh, as fast as they

00:34:38.840 would need to for somebody like this that comes in and starts shooting people in minutes.

00:34:43.100 People are, kids are dead.

00:34:44.320 And so the, the laws that were put in place, uh, were related to allowing, uh, school districts

00:34:50.560 to opt into training teachers either in one of two capacities as a marshal where they get

00:34:57.260 more sophisticated training.

00:34:59.280 So they're almost, you know, something like a police officer and letting those, and letting

00:35:04.340 those people, you know, operate inside the school.

00:35:06.440 And then also training others under the guardian program so that they can have some training

00:35:11.940 so that these teachers, because the general rule of schools is you can't carry a gun into

00:35:15.440 the school.

00:35:16.140 But under these laws, that not only, I think I was told by the Lieutenant Governor yesterday

00:35:20.000 that they funded this too.

00:35:21.800 And school districts had the choice of opting into this where they can let people on campus

00:35:26.680 have guns so that we would have a much more immediate response.

00:35:30.820 I'll tell you, I went to a school, my son was playing football, went to a school and there

00:35:35.140 were signs all over, beware, teachers are armed.

00:35:39.740 We take the second amendment and the protection of our students seriously.

00:35:44.000 And it was so clear, man, not doing anything here, not doing anything here.

00:35:48.540 No, that's the way to do it.

00:35:49.000 Yes.

00:35:49.340 And I think that's the way it should, I mean, these people, I mean, they know they're not,

00:35:53.200 they're, they're, they're safe, at least until law enforcement gets there to accomplish

00:35:57.240 their goals.

00:35:57.960 And we're going to keep seeing this happen until we decide as, as a state, and we've decided

00:36:03.380 to say, the local school districts have to decide, or it's going to have to be made mandatory

00:36:07.520 by the state to protect those kids.

00:36:11.240 Well, we're going to have an onslaught of all kinds of stuff from the federal government

00:36:17.540 trying to get us to violate the Second Amendment.

00:36:23.820 And we are, I'm assuming we're in Texas, we're strong, right?

00:36:29.740 There's no, I mean, I can't think of anything that we can do other than look at our own society

00:36:36.140 and see what's going on.

00:36:37.760 Our kids are killing themselves and then they're killing others.

00:36:41.680 There's something deeply wrong in our society and it's not the gun.

00:36:46.100 It's not the gun.

00:36:47.360 Let me just add to this.

00:36:48.740 I mean, first of all, it's not the gun.

00:36:49.700 I mean, it's, it's ridiculous for the Biden administration to suggest that this kid who

00:36:53.940 decided to violate the murder laws would, oh, wait a minute, there's a gun law.

00:36:58.300 I can't do this.

00:36:59.120 I would violate gun law.

00:37:00.620 It's law abiding citizens that follow the law.

00:37:02.840 Second, we have a fentanyl crisis that the Biden administration has presumably invited.

00:37:09.000 And we have over a hundred thousand people that overdosed and died from fentanyl.

00:37:14.020 Look, I know it is awful what happened in the schools, but why is it the Biden administration

00:37:18.200 so concerned about the hundred and something thousand people that died from overdoses because

00:37:23.360 they opened up the border and a lot of fentanyl to come across?

00:37:26.540 That and also we found out that a terrorist, they arrested, the FBI arrested a terrorist that

00:37:32.780 came across our open border and was planning on smuggling three others in to kill George

00:37:38.140 W. Bush.

00:37:38.820 Um, and you're not really hearing that story at all today, that more violence from across

00:37:44.780 the border.

00:37:45.980 Um, and look, I think we're going to, we can expect more of that when with, with the number

00:37:50.580 of people that are allowing or being invited by the Biden administration to come to the

00:37:55.600 cartels and be dropped off at border patrol and, you know, here's the handoff.

00:37:59.400 We're going to have terrorist problems.

00:38:02.040 If you wanted to do something terribly, I say, it's really easy.

00:38:06.260 You just, you just participate in the Biden, you know, immigration program and you're, you're

00:38:10.160 going to, you can come in and do whatever you want.

00:38:12.320 I don't know how we stop it.

00:38:14.560 The, uh, the former assistant secretary for Homeland Security in the Obama administration

00:38:21.340 said the most important thing for the federal government to do right now, this is last night

00:38:27.000 is to say there will be no immigration enforcement during this period in that area.

00:38:33.900 Um, these are political issues in Texas and it has a large immigration population.

00:38:40.040 You want parents with their kids.

00:38:42.140 You don't want people hiding right now.

00:38:44.480 You need to make it clear that because of the political issues in Texas, um, we are not

00:38:51.060 going to have any enforcement on our border.

00:38:53.340 And, and that's insane, but that's basically what's going on anyway.

00:39:01.980 I mean, they're not enforcing federal law and they're letting everybody, they're not 0.71

00:39:06.040 just, I mean, it's not even just letting, they're inviting it.

00:39:08.680 Like, please come bring cartels, make as much money as you can bring as many people here as

00:39:14.180 possible.

00:39:14.480 That's what is going on.

00:39:15.800 I have a, uh, interview with, uh, William Barr, the former attorney general, um, that's

00:39:21.300 coming out tomorrow.

00:39:22.120 I sat with him for 90 minutes yesterday and I talked to him about the border and I said,

00:39:27.100 why can't Texas defend itself?

00:39:28.960 And he said, I'm actually hoping that somebody will issue an executive order and, uh, follow

00:39:36.640 the actual national laws.

00:39:39.440 He said, because, uh, it's going to go to the Supreme court.

00:39:42.580 And he said, there's no way what they're doing down there is legal.

00:39:45.560 And there's no way that any court is going to stop, you know, this Supreme court is going

00:39:50.580 to stop Texas from doing, enforcing the law that's on the books that the government, federal

00:39:56.820 government won't do.

00:39:58.600 Look, this is exactly what I've been saying.

00:40:00.420 I don't know.

00:40:00.860 I'm asking the legislature and they're like, they only need every other year.

00:40:03.900 So they haven't really had a chance to do this since Biden got into office.

00:40:07.360 But here we are.

00:40:07.960 We're coming up on a legislative session next January, they should pass a law that does exactly

00:40:13.240 what the federal law says, and then start enforcing it and make the Biden administration

00:40:18.200 sue us and let me take it to the U S Supreme court.

00:40:21.300 And I agree with him.

00:40:21.920 How could they possibly sit on the side and say, look, the federal government has a law.

00:40:26.320 You can't now enforce your law.

00:40:28.600 You just have to let them run amok and let all these bad things happen.

00:40:32.140 But I cannot imagine that the Supreme court looking at the actual what's happening would

00:40:37.060 let that happen.

00:40:38.380 Is there anything, um, that we can do can as a people, cause everybody wants this to stop.

00:40:45.240 Is there anything that law enforcement or the state or the federal government can do to help

00:40:53.880 this stop?

00:40:54.700 Well, I mean, the only thing you could actually do right quickly is have executive orders that

00:41:00.860 match federal law from, from a governor, from one of these border governors that matches federal

00:41:06.200 law.

00:41:06.620 And then we started forcing those, but it's very, no, no, no.

00:41:09.160 I mean, no, no, wait, wait.

00:41:10.160 I mean, I'm sorry.

00:41:10.900 I wanted to go back to the shooting.

00:41:12.760 Is there any, that's all right.

00:41:16.080 Yeah.

00:41:16.520 I mean, I think, I mean, I think right now that these school districts, there's over a thousand

00:41:21.280 schools that should be in Texas and I don't know what laws are in other states.

00:41:24.800 I can just tell you about Texas there.

00:41:26.080 If they would, if they would invoke this, use this money that has been granted, uh, according

00:41:31.500 to the Lieutenant governor.

00:41:32.400 And if they would use these laws, they could begin to protect it.

00:41:35.920 And look, nothing's going to work perfectly, but just like the school you went into, are

00:41:39.940 you going to choose that school where you, you're looking over your shoulder, you might

00:41:42.800 get shot in the back, right?

00:41:43.980 You're going to go to one that doesn't do that. 0.99

00:41:45.900 Let's make it really hard for these guys that killed children.

00:41:49.140 Let's make it like it really hard.

00:41:51.200 Like maybe they can get away with it, but it's going to be really, really hard.

00:41:53.920 And most of them are going to get shot before they ever get a round off or they're going

00:41:57.540 to get shot very quickly after, you know, one shot fired.

00:42:00.400 So we could save a lot of children if we'll just do that one thing.

00:42:03.860 So before he went in, he was shot by a police officer.

00:42:06.780 Uh, and then, uh, it was a border patrol agent that actually killed him.

00:42:11.840 Both were injured.

00:42:12.780 Are they all right?

00:42:14.560 Yeah.

00:42:14.940 I mean, I actually am on my way down there.

00:42:16.820 I'm about to get on a plane to go down there and find out what's going on.

00:42:19.120 My people deal with the, uh, victims of crime.

00:42:21.980 That's our, one of our jobs.

00:42:23.240 And so I actually haven't gotten an update on, uh, any of the wounded, uh, officers, but

00:42:28.760 God bless that guy for running in there and saving those people.

00:42:31.220 Who knows?

00:42:32.560 We'll never know how many people he saved, how many kids he saved.

00:42:35.460 Yeah.

00:42:36.040 Thank you so much.

00:42:36.940 I appreciate it.

00:42:37.940 Ken Paxton, the attorney general, uh, of the great state of Texas.
