00:00:00.000 so we got a lot on our plate today on the best of we have el saeed and why the socialists are
00:00:10.400 winning i think everybody's looking at this race in michigan the wrong way you know we spent a lot
00:00:16.020 of time talking about muslim brotherhood today but is that what's going to change the election
00:00:20.140 and i think the answer is no so we have that also uh jake altman he is a former um dsa member he was
00:00:28.340 Democratic Socialists of America. He left that membership just a few years ago because he said
00:00:33.580 that it was becoming way too extreme. He tells us the inside story and also about El Saeed's
00:00:41.140 bodyguard or chief of security that left and said the same thing. And John Solomon,
00:00:47.500 he has the goods on what exactly happened with Ilhan Omar and what that story is all about,
00:00:54.020 all on today's podcast.
00:00:58.340 you're listening to the best of the blend back program
00:01:09.180 all right so so i don't want to black pill you because i don't think that this is
00:01:19.000 this this race is so close but it should not be close i've never seen a candidate in my lifetime
00:01:27.720 like El Saeed. Never. The Muslim Brotherhood fingerprints are all over this guy. The guy
00:01:35.040 is a total radical. He can't say that Iran is a bigger threat than Israel.
00:01:45.120 The fingerprints of the Muslim Brotherhood with his family seem to be everywhere. 0.99
00:01:50.760 How is he winning? How is he winning? How is he winning? 1.00
00:01:53.280 OK, so he's ahead, but not by much. Fox News has him up by one point over Mike Rogers.
00:02:02.320 YouGov poll up one. CBS Detroit up five. Republican pollster has him up by five.
00:02:09.380 Now, this is a man who campaigned with Hassan Piker. 0.71
00:02:15.900 And the Republicans have spent months tying him, showing Muslim Brotherhood. 0.60
00:02:23.020 In July, one poll had him seven points behind Rodgers. 0.97
00:02:26.740 He now leads.
00:02:28.400 And every conservative I know is asking, how is this happening?
00:02:31.840 How is this happening?
00:02:32.900 What does this say about Michigan?
00:02:36.620 I think that's the wrong question.
00:02:39.340 I want to learn the right answers.
00:02:41.720 You know what I mean?
00:02:42.520 We have to ask the right questions.
00:02:44.340 And I don't think that's the right question.
00:02:45.780 What's wrong with those people in Michigan?
00:02:47.240 I don't think that's the right question.
00:02:48.840 What are we missing?
00:02:52.160 Well, what we're missing is what he says over and over and over again at every campaign stop.
00:02:58.200 What is his slogan?
00:02:59.980 Money out of politics, money in your pocket, Medicare for all.
00:03:04.920 Now, let me translate this because this is what voters are hearing.
00:03:13.100 And this is what a voter under 30 does the minute he hears those things.
00:03:18.640 Money out of politics.
00:03:19.780 What does that mean?
00:03:20.440 What is that reaching towards?
00:03:23.240 That is reaching towards the rich and the powerful always get away with it.
00:03:28.120 Jeffrey Epstein, okay?
00:03:30.040 Ask yourself, what have the Republicans done on Jeffrey Epstein?
00:03:33.780 What have they done about that?
00:03:34.920 What have the Democrats done on that?
00:03:37.740 Nothing.
00:03:38.940 Both parties had Epstein in their Rolodex.
00:03:42.300 Both parties didn't do jack on it.
00:03:44.660 Now, I would argue Donald Trump did more to pry those files open than the Democrats ever did.
00:03:48.700 but still it wasn't it wasn't nearly enough people didn't feel like it was satisfactory
00:03:53.120 and it bleeds it bleeds into hunter biden this guy got away with murder but then the other side
00:04:01.820 will say well look at what donald trump's kids are doing they're enriching themselves
00:04:04.780 so both sides are seeing money out of politics i want money out of i want the powerful and the rich
00:04:12.780 to pay for what they've done.
00:04:15.760 If I have to go to jail, you have to go to jail.
00:04:18.540 That's what they mean, okay?
00:04:21.280 Now, we look at it as sides.
00:04:25.800 Well, their side did this, their side did that.
00:04:28.740 Youth is not a side.
00:04:30.900 A 25-year-old doesn't see Hunter's laptop
00:04:34.280 and the Trump boys' deals as two separate stories.
00:04:38.800 They don't.
00:04:39.300 They see it as one.
00:04:40.240 the children of powerful people get rich
00:04:43.160 and he gets a rent increase
00:04:45.700 so when El Saeed says money out of politics
00:04:50.100 remember he's not offering a plan
00:04:52.580 this is the amazing trick
00:04:55.300 this is working without plans
00:04:58.900 all he's doing is naming everything
00:05:02.140 that everyone already believes
00:05:04.640 but no one else will say it
00:05:08.160 And he's saying it over and over and over again.
00:05:11.280 What was it with Bill Clinton when he won? 1.00
00:05:13.600 It's the economy, stupid. 1.00
00:05:15.020 That's what this is. 1.00
00:05:17.160 Okay?
00:05:17.740 He's got three things.
00:05:18.840 The little guy goes to jail for a bad check.
00:05:21.380 The connected gets a book deal.
00:05:24.960 You don't need a policy paper to know that.
00:05:28.000 Okay?
00:05:29.300 Somebody who's 25 years old just needs somebody to say it out loud.
00:05:32.820 Then the next part of this is money in your pocket.
00:05:35.520 This one is so clear.
00:05:37.240 Okay?
00:05:37.640 That's you at the gas station.
00:05:39.600 That's you at the grocery store.
00:05:41.660 Gas is averaging 433 a gallon in September,
00:05:45.160 the highest September ever on record.
00:05:48.520 People are struggling.
00:05:50.500 Now, the Democrats caused it.
00:05:52.380 Let me play sides.
00:05:53.280 Democrats caused it.
00:05:55.940 But you hired Donald Trump to fix it,
00:05:59.000 and it doesn't seem like he's fixing it.
00:06:01.300 Well, wait a minute.
00:06:02.700 Inflation is running just north.
00:06:04.620 It's like 3.2%.
00:06:06.000 So just north of 3%.
00:06:07.720 And Washington calls that progress.
00:06:10.440 Why would Washington call that progress?
00:06:12.080 Because the target from the Fed for inflation is 3%.
00:06:15.860 So that means inflation is only 1% over target.
00:06:20.200 That's not bad inflation.
00:06:22.520 But here's where it broke down.
00:06:24.960 When you hired Trump, you expected prices to go back down.
00:06:30.340 we watched we we know that the problem was caused by the democrats and joe biden okay
00:06:36.740 we watched prices go up 21 percent
00:06:41.700 now it's 24 percent now what donald trump did was bring it from 21 percent to three percent
00:06:50.840 but everyone expected the price to go down to to take that 21 percent increase that never goes away
00:06:58.900 It never goes away.
00:07:01.140 So when a politician says inflation is coming down,
00:07:03.960 he means prices are just going up more slowly.
00:07:07.700 To the mom who's pushing the cart, that sounds like a lie to her.
00:07:11.960 Wait a minute, I thought you were going to bring the prices down. 0.84
00:07:15.440 He did.
00:07:16.380 He stopped the prices from going up more, which was Herculean.
00:07:22.060 But she's not comparing this year to last year.
00:07:24.800 She's comparing her receipt to the one in her head from five years ago.
00:07:31.320 And it seems like the Republicans are absolutely deaf on this because they're not just even explaining that.
00:07:39.620 And it's too late to explain that.
00:07:42.300 I mean, it should have been done in the first campaign.
00:07:44.040 Look, I can't fix that, but I can make that inflation stop.
00:07:48.000 But I can't fix the inflation because that's there forever.
00:07:50.780 so they look like they're deaf not addressing it the democrats never had an answer they caused the
00:07:57.460 problems and the socialists are new if you're under 30 socialism is new to a 25 year old
00:08:05.480 they've they've they have they've never failed they've never seen socialism fail so it sounds
00:08:14.560 like hope to them it's like okay well you know what i don't agree with those guys and those guys
00:08:19.040 aren't doing anything i'm trying this one then the third one is medicare for all let me translate
00:08:25.000 that our medical system is broken and i can't afford it anymore that's what people are saying
00:08:33.160 and it's absolutely true now i predicted this one in 2008 when they were talking about obamacare
00:08:39.440 i said it was a trojan horse later one of obama's advisors actually came out on tape and said
00:08:45.540 It's a Trojan horse. It's right there.
00:08:49.380 They build a system that cannot work, they let it break,
00:08:53.580 and then they offer the government as the only cure to fix it.
00:08:58.540 Well, here we are. Here we are.
00:09:00.460 Now the socialists are making the case that I told you in 2008 they would make
00:09:04.200 because it was going to break health care even more.
00:09:09.060 Now, the only people that could actually do anything about that are the Republicans.
00:09:12.620 but on health care the republicans are worthless they haven't done anything
00:09:18.940 more than 15 years of repeal and replace where's the repeal where's the replace
00:09:26.820 so now el saeed who's a doctor but is not an md he says the system is broken and everybody goes yep
00:09:34.320 he's right because the voter just got a bill for an emergency room visit that looks like a car
00:09:39.320 payment. He doesn't have to win the argument about how to pay for it. He has to be the only
00:09:45.900 one that's sitting there going, it is broken. And Medicare, the government, because that's shiny and
00:09:52.820 new, that's socialism. Let's have the government fix it. So why am I telling you this? I'm telling
00:10:00.640 you this because until the Republicans understand what's happening, you're going to see bad
00:10:10.700 election night. Now, this is close. So I pray that Mike Rogers is going to be able to pull
00:10:16.540 this off. This is close. But this is why the Muslim Brotherhood stuff is not going to move
00:10:22.460 the polls. Republicans have run it in ads, the convention stage, the debate. El Saeed denies 0.85
00:10:30.840 all of it, all of it, and no one's caring. You know what he said? Israel, is that more important
00:10:37.680 or is that safer than Iran? Which one's the bigger enemy? I can't believe we're talking about this 0.95
00:10:42.940 when people can't afford health care. And that's what people were saying. I know. My house is on
00:10:50.060 fire. I can't afford anything. So whatever you make of the charges, look at who's listening.
00:10:57.660 A poll from our Republican Rasmussen, this was late last month, 43% of voters 18 to 24 view
00:11:07.120 Sharia law positively. Excuse me? 25 to 29, 39%. 39% of people look at Sharia law as positive.
00:11:27.040 About a quarter of Americans under 35 say if a town or state wants Sharia as its legal code,
00:11:32.560 they'd allow it and socialism this spring fox news found 53 percent of voters under 30 want to move
00:11:40.020 away from capitalism last month nbc found for the first time in nearly a decade of its polling
00:11:45.480 voters under 30 like socialism better than capitalism in michigan el saeed leads voters
00:11:51.120 under 50 by 14 points why
00:11:57.080 rogers leads voters over 50 by nine points okay you don't you can't scare somebody with a word
00:12:08.340 he doesn't fear muslim brotherhood lands like a bomb on somebody over 50 you know they know okay
00:12:15.580 Whoa, wait a minute, what?
00:12:18.220 To a 22-year-old guy in Ann Arbor,
00:12:20.340 it sounds like what his parents' party says
00:12:22.700 instead of answering his rent question.
00:12:26.360 Rogers is talking about Cairo in 2011.
00:12:30.960 El Saeed is talking about Kroger
00:12:32.860 and what's happening in the grocery store.
00:12:36.940 If you won't answer the question,
00:12:39.480 the people you are trying to love
00:12:41.980 and bring into your fold,
00:12:43.940 somebody else will.
00:12:45.580 This is the best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:12:54.500 There's a reason people get really cynical when a big corporation announces its mission.
00:12:59.840 Because normally the mission has absolutely nothing to do with the things they sell you.
00:13:04.620 You know, they make toasters.
00:13:06.180 Great, why are you explaining this philosophy of Western civilization to me?
00:13:10.400 Patriot Mobile is different because their mission is actually built into their business.
00:13:14.860 They're America's only Christian conservative wireless provider, and for more than 12 years, they have contributed millions of dollars to organizations that defend religious liberty, free speech, the sanctity of life, the Second Amendment, and all the things you agree with.
00:13:28.640 And they've also built an amazingly good wireless company.
00:13:31.900 You get higher priority nationwide service with access to any of the three major U.S. networks and so much more.
00:13:38.720 So don't ask me to choose between a company that shares my values and a company that provides good service.
00:13:43.440 I got both of them in one.
00:13:44.860 Patriot Mobile dot com slash Beck 972 Patriot. Use the promo code Beck 50. Get 50% off your wireless plan for three months. Patriot Mobile dot com slash Beck.
00:13:57.100 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:14:02.440 Jake Altman. Jake, welcome. How are you, sir?
00:14:06.320 Doing well. How are you?
00:14:07.200 hi i'm i'm good i i am so fascinated to hear you were a dsa member and now you're warning
00:14:17.300 against it i want to talk to you about el saeed's guy but can we get your story first
00:14:21.620 because i'm interested yeah so i was a dsa member i joined in 2013 and i was a member until
00:14:28.800 2022 uh i witnessed dsa during that period become ever more extreme i was raising concerns
00:14:36.720 as early as 2015, saying, look, I see the direction the organization is headed in. They
00:14:41.240 asked me to do a debate. I said, I'm not sure I'm the right person to do this debate given
00:14:46.000 where things are going. And I was told at that time, don't worry, Jake, we agree with
00:14:49.980 you. It's just a few people clustered around Jacobin Magazine who have these views. And
00:14:54.600 unfortunately, that was not true. These people marched through the institution and they're
00:14:58.220 in control now. And you were talking earlier in the program about what happened to the
00:15:03.280 British Labor Party in the 70s and 80s with the takeover. That very thing happened to DSA in my
00:15:07.920 view. And how can you stay in an organization that's embraced these extreme views and that
00:15:13.860 has become very anti-American? I couldn't. So, Jake, I'm so glad to hear this because
00:15:19.220 it's not that you and I disagree. It's not that you and I agree on policies per se. You're still
00:15:24.460 probably much more liberal than I am and a bigger government guy than I am. But thank you
00:15:31.800 for being a normal human being and saying,
00:15:34.780 okay, I can believe in that stuff, but not this.
00:15:38.780 This is dangerous.
00:15:41.820 Absolutely, absolutely.
00:15:43.160 And the message I'm trying to convey to everyone right now
00:15:45.860 in Michigan, I'm a Michigan voter,
00:15:47.740 is look, people, Democrats, Republicans,
00:15:50.660 independents need to come together
00:15:51.980 because this stuff is really, really dangerous. 0.92
00:15:54.480 These are not people who appreciate democracy.
00:15:56.880 These are people who cannot condemn
00:15:58.600 grave enemies of the United States,
00:16:00.900 people who just tried to do a terror attack on a U.S. base in the United Kingdom right and we can't
00:16:07.460 condemn these people this is what's happening in the democratic in parts of the democratic party
00:16:11.640 there are still some democratic leaders standing up and saying no but a lot of people have gone
00:16:16.300 along with this and it's just to me it's a parallel in what I saw happen in DSA it's happening again
00:16:23.100 in the Democratic Party. So, Jake, is it that people are not able to critically think that
00:16:32.040 they want to, that they just hate something so much they can't think straight and say,
00:16:38.200 well, wait a minute. Yeah, I may not like that, but this is also really bad. What is happening?
00:16:43.540 Why are people so blind to this right now? There's certainly some of that is happening.
00:16:48.000 I think that affluent, high-propensity Democratic Party primary voters in deep blue areas have been radicalized.
00:16:55.060 And they are engaged in a level of conspiratorial thinking.
00:16:58.780 They think they're immune to it, but they're not.
00:17:01.760 And it's not that DSA all of a sudden manifested all of these votes, right?
00:17:06.400 It's that these affluent liberals have lended their votes to DSA because they've been radicalized.
00:17:10.940 So if you look at the primary election in Michigan, El-Sayed was doing great in affluent college towns.
00:17:18.000 but he did not do well with traditional Democratic Party voters. And I think, you know, this is a
00:17:24.660 broader issue that we're seeing where the Democratic Party is moving away from its
00:17:27.960 traditional base. I can give you one example. There was a bill recently to protect the
00:17:33.600 lobstermen in Maine, and 193 Democrats voted against it. If they had had their way,
00:17:41.040 that industry would be devastated. What industry is safe under this Democratic Party? So I think
00:17:47.460 you are really seeing realignment taking hold in some communities. And it's deeply troubling. I
00:17:53.740 want the Democrats to get back on track and be good stewards and good representatives of America
00:17:57.860 and the American economy. And I continue to have concerns. Do you see people waking up
00:18:05.680 in Michigan? I do. I think you have seen a lot of Democrats come out for Mike Rogers.
00:18:12.100 I've been very vocal.
00:18:14.040 I'm supporting Mike Rogers for U.S. Senate. 1.00
00:18:16.300 I am not supporting Abdul El-Sayed. 1.00
00:18:18.040 I never will.
00:18:19.320 You just saw a former regent at the University of Michigan come out and say, look, I disagree
00:18:23.940 with Mike Rogers on some policy issues, but he's a good guy.
00:18:26.720 We can have the debate.
00:18:28.120 I'm going to support him because the alternative is so extreme, so vile, and so toxic.
00:18:34.180 We cannot, we cannot support it.
00:18:36.860 talk to somebody who is under 30 years old that they they don't think that socialism you know
00:18:44.320 and i don't even mean socialism because these guys are communists they're communists um the
00:18:50.740 the leadership is i think it was 51 percent or 54 percent admit that they're communists that's
00:18:57.360 that's not like i want you know bigger health care programs um that's different how do you how
00:19:03.820 How would you talk to those people and say, here, look, I know what you're thinking, but here's what you need to consider?
00:19:10.960 Absolutely.
00:19:11.580 We're Americans, and we love our freedom.
00:19:13.280 We love our ability to speak out.
00:19:15.200 And I would say look at the regimes that DSA is idolizing and that even El-Sayed won't condemn.
00:19:21.280 The regimes are the Venezuelan regime under Maduro, the Cuban regime, the Chinese Communist Party, that regime, the Iranian regime.
00:19:30.940 I mean people. These are not good faith actors. They are not people who value democracy and
00:19:37.080 freedom. You know, we might have some problems in this country, but we also have a lot of good
00:19:40.980 things going for us. You're free here to work hard and to make your way in the world, and you
00:19:47.100 have protections. That's not something we should give up. Hand power to these people who can't
00:19:52.440 even denounce our enemies and who look at impoverished regimes and say, hey, they've got
00:19:56.680 a good idea there. No, it's just unacceptable. All right. I want to, I want to take a one minute
00:20:03.180 break and I want to come back to you. So you, you did an interview with, um, the former, uh,
00:20:08.860 chief of security. Um, and he, he thought that he was just misguided. This is my understanding
00:20:16.020 of the story. He just thought El-Sayed was, was misguided. Um, and then realized after talking
00:20:22.120 to him no he's not he believes these things and this is so dangerous and he left the campaign
00:20:26.740 but he'll he'll do very few interviews and you were one of them that he spoke to and so I'd like
00:20:32.080 to hear what he had to say Jake Altman joins me here in just a second former DSA member and a
00:20:37.880 freelance writer you can follow him on on x at trade union Jake okay so Jake back in April you
00:20:46.000 spoke to the former chief of El Sayed, what did he say? So he had reached a point where he was
00:20:55.120 just unable to discount the things that he was seeing inside the campaign and the way that the
00:20:59.300 campaign was proceeding forward. And, you know, at a certain point in time, you say, oh, it's
00:21:05.060 naivete. He just doesn't, the candidate just doesn't understand. But my understanding is that
00:21:11.480 He had had a lot of conversations with El-Sayed and that came to the conclusion that, no,
00:21:16.820 like these are actually beliefs that El-Sayed holds.
00:21:19.980 And we witnessed a really horrific primary campaign in Michigan where El-Sayed was,
00:21:24.820 every other word was Israel, every other word was AIPAC.
00:21:27.960 And it was clear that he was trying to, that he was really trafficking in anti-Semitism.
00:21:34.340 And we saw at conventions, at a convention that took place in Michigan, that there was a mob
00:21:39.800 that was trying to prevent people from speaking
00:21:42.060 and that was really intimidating people.
00:21:44.240 And he unleashed that as part of this campaign.
00:21:47.260 There were Democratic Party officials in Michigan
00:21:49.060 who were feared for their safety.
00:21:51.660 And so they did not attend another convention, right?
00:21:55.020 That's how bad this has become in Michigan.
00:21:57.660 And I think all of those things just combined
00:21:59.980 and people are saying, we can't do this.
00:22:01.940 No way.
00:22:02.660 This isn't our Democratic Party.
00:22:05.860 What did he specifically say about the Iron Dome?
00:22:08.500 Did you get into that with him?
00:22:09.800 We did talk about the Iron Dome. My recollection is he said that El-Sayed is not a supporter of the Iron Dome, even though El-Sayed, it came out later, has a house in Dubai that is protected by the Iron Dome, right?
00:22:22.500 So this is another facet of El-Sayed, this hypocrisy. But we did get into that. And the security staffer's view was that El-Sayed would be fine with attacks on Israel unprotected.
00:22:37.520 And right, of course, Israel is a very diverse country. And al-Sayed apparently doesn't matter to him. And we've seen since then that he refuses to condemn the Iranian regime. And so I think all, you know, this is true. This apparently this is a sincerely held belief he has.
00:22:55.720 He is also, I mean, he seems to have close associations with Hassan Piker and others. Did you get into that?
00:23:02.000 it is clear that he has close associations with hassan piker piker came to campaign with him in
00:23:07.860 michigan el sayed apparently invited piker to come and campaign um you know piker is is a very
00:23:14.620 extreme person a person who idolizes mao a mass murderer um and el sayed brought him as part of
00:23:21.680 the campaign he wasn't the only influencer there were other influencers he brought um but wow does
00:23:28.520 Does he think he is an Islamicist, a Marxist, communist?
00:23:37.020 What is he?
00:23:38.260 Because he seems to be a chameleon.
00:23:40.860 Absolutely, and that is something that Jordan made very clear in the interview,
00:23:45.920 that he saw El-Sayed as using a lot of strategic ambiguity and being a chameleon.
00:23:52.920 So it comes down to, at the very least, he's willing to use these people.
00:23:57.800 like pro-Iranian regime, pro-Hezbollah, pro-terror group imams, he's willing to campaign with them
00:24:04.200 and use their support. And the same with Hassan Piker. Though ultimately, you have to say that
00:24:11.140 he has spiritual affinities with Hassan Piker, right? Hassan Piker has said horrific things
00:24:17.540 and has voiced support for horrific regimes. And it's clear that al-Sayed apparently can't
00:24:23.760 condemn these, some of these regimes. And so at a certain point, Al-Sayed can try to distance
00:24:28.660 himself from Hassan Piker, but the facts are just showing that ideologically there might not be that
00:24:34.300 much distance. So he says that he's not a member of DSA and, you know, I'm sure he's not. But how
00:24:42.100 would you compare him to the members that you found frightening in DSA that really got you to
00:24:49.020 go, I can't be a part of the DSA anymore. Does he have any of those attributes? Does he fit into
00:24:54.900 that crowd? I would say so. I mean, he's certainly DSA aligned. If you look at who he's campaigned
00:24:59.900 with, he's campaigned with AOC, he's campaigned with Rashida Tlaib, he's campaigned with Bernie
00:25:03.660 Sanders. So he can try to distance himself. But if you look at the reality, this is who he's going
00:25:08.560 to be voting with if he's elected. But I would just say one of the reasons I left DSA was just
00:25:14.880 this increasing hatred of the West. And if you look at al-Sayed's inability to condemn Hezbollah,
00:25:22.200 his inability to condemn the Iranian regime, you have to say that apparently he agrees with DSA
00:25:27.380 on these things, right? I think it's important that we defend Western values, defend Western
00:25:33.040 civilization. I don't see DSA there. How do you, what do you think is going to happen here on
00:25:41.400 election day i mean i i feel like the tide is turning some um i don't know if it's turning
00:25:47.060 fast enough there some polls have them within one point um but i mean he has got a very loyal
00:25:54.800 following i mean all of the mosques are going to turn out you know all of the radicals are going
00:25:59.540 to turn out they're they are good at at that kind of stuff what do you see happening i think we are
00:26:06.300 seeing more and more democrats come out and say we're not going to do this mike rogers is a good
00:26:10.360 decent man. He's going to represent all Michiganders. We're going to be voting for Mike
00:26:13.860 Rogers. I certainly am. And so, you know, that is going to continue to happen. I do believe that
00:26:20.700 every vote will matter. We need Republicans. We need Democrats. We need independents to come
00:26:24.700 together and say, no, we're not going to put an extremist into the U.S. Senate. We're going to
00:26:30.380 vote for the good, solid, patriotic, former FBI agent, Mike Rogers.
00:26:34.420 well jake i have to i have to compliment you for coming on the program i'm sure
00:26:41.960 you know from everything that you ever read about me or heard about me i'm sure that this
00:26:46.380 is the last place you ever expected yourself to be on it's my program um but uh i uh i really
00:26:52.980 appreciate the conversation and i would love to uh have a few conversations with you on
00:26:59.860 on how we can i mean look i don't i don't care if we disagree with each other that's america we're
00:27:06.080 supposed to disagree with each other but we don't disagree with each other on the bill of rights we
00:27:10.380 don't disagree with each other on the basic foundational pillars of our society um and
00:27:16.940 and i i honestly don't know how to um break down that wall but we have to break down this wall
00:27:24.400 I know, I just believe in my heart of hearts, and I would be so black-pilled if I didn't, that most Democrats, the average Democrat, is not for this stuff.
00:27:38.020 And why they're ignoring it, why they're not seeing it, I don't know.
00:27:41.640 there's a million reasons, but we have to figure out a way to work together and break through and
00:27:47.180 go back to just hating each other's policies, not hating our country and each other. And I don't
00:27:57.040 know how to do that, but maybe, Jake, you can help me figure that out in the coming days and
00:28:02.700 months. Thank you. You're welcome. Appreciate it. Jake Altman, freelance writer, former DSA member.
00:28:11.640 jason
00:28:15.920 sir we are sitting we're sitting here at a time ricky i'd love to hear have you on this too
00:28:23.420 we're sitting at a time where it is so damn close it is so close i mean i i talked to is um
00:28:31.160 is the podcast i recorded yesterday with mark alberton is that on saturday is that going to
00:28:36.760 be released saturday or whenever this saturday yeah it's coming out this weekend it's it's
00:28:41.620 It's fascinating. It is fascinating.
00:28:44.000 And he's a little blackpilled on things.
00:28:46.780 He doesn't think it's going to go as well for Republicans as maybe I hope it will.
00:28:52.480 And he could be right. I don't know.
00:28:54.660 But he made really good, strong points on how we're just ignoring it.
00:29:00.360 How do you see this coming out in Michigan, Ricky?
00:29:03.900 I know you really follow this stuff closely.
00:29:08.320 You and your husband follow it really closely.
00:29:10.400 Yeah, we're freaks.
00:29:11.040 But I'm a little encouraged by the fact that Republicans tend to be undersampled in the polls.
00:29:17.980 Have you been called?
00:29:18.860 Yes.
00:29:19.620 You have been called this season?
00:29:21.100 I haven't.
00:29:22.340 Jason, have you been called to participate in a poll for this election?
00:29:26.600 Tons of text messages, no calls.
00:29:29.040 Right.
00:29:29.360 They want our money, but they're not calling us to poll us.
00:29:31.740 And we're undersampled.
00:29:33.100 And even if they do call us, we tend to not talk because we don't trust pollsters.
00:29:38.220 So I'm hoping that the undersampling is correct
00:29:41.980 and that we're actually plus seven, plus 10 in these elections.
00:29:45.600 But we're, over the next few weeks, going to be interviewing candidates
00:29:48.940 in these toss-up races because every vote will matter.
00:29:52.780 We're hoping to get to FOIA this week in Minnesota.
00:29:57.820 Yeah, I'd love to have that interview.
00:30:01.620 It does matter.
00:30:04.080 Our country is at stake.
00:30:05.920 I want to give you a white pill in case it doesn't go our way, because it'll sound like an excuse
00:30:13.320 afterwards. But if it doesn't go our way, and I'm not saying it is, but if it doesn't go our way,
00:30:20.540 let's just remember how we felt in 2020. We felt this was the worst thing that could happen to us,
00:30:25.040 our country was over. God is still on the throne, and we can only do what we can do. We have to do
00:30:31.660 do everything we can do and then leave it up to him.
00:30:35.200 And whatever happens, it will be for our own good.
00:30:38.840 And I think it could be a surprising turn of events.
00:30:42.640 But the only way we get that blessing is if we do everything we can do.
00:30:48.620 Talk to your friends and neighbors.
00:30:49.940 Drive them to the polls.

00:31:11.820 without the normal tariff.
00:31:13.880 That's a huge amount of beef.
00:31:15.780 And here's the part that bothers me.
00:31:17.440 When that beef ends up at the grocery store, you have no way of knowing which country it
00:31:21.380 came from.
00:31:22.000 I'm all for buying beef for my family, but I want to know where it came from.

00:32:20.800 I have to tell you, I've been waiting for this interview for days now.
00:32:24.160 John Solomon is with us.
00:32:25.300 He is a guy who will know all of the details that actually matter on this Ilhan Omar thing.
00:32:31.720 He is the CEO of Just the News, editor-in-chief.
00:32:35.480 John, welcome to the program.
00:32:37.340 Yeah, great to be with you, Glenn.
00:32:38.480 It was a big moment.
00:32:40.800 Okay, okay.
00:32:42.420 I'm trying not to get my hopes up.
00:32:44.060 I'm trying to think because everything else always just peters out.
00:32:48.200 And there's a lot at stake on this one.
00:32:52.760 Tell me what's actually going on.
00:32:55.060 Tell me, let's start with the warrant and the judge.
00:32:58.780 Yeah, so a Democrat-appointed judge approved a search warrant based on the probable cause finding that the HSI agents had for why they believe a crime occurred.
00:33:09.780 We believe there are two things that they're looking at.
00:33:12.780 The first is, was she involved in a family effort to create immigration fraud, to create false circumstances that would allow them to come into the country,
00:33:21.020 stay in the country or gain their citizenship and then the second is is there any impropriety
00:33:26.940 in her personal financial disclosure statements about a year ago she disclosed she was worth 30
00:33:32.540 million that's a big number because she had never really made any jobs or had anything other than
00:33:37.820 government you know smaller jobs and then suddenly they changed that form and reduced her down to her
00:33:42.220 net value or income of a hundred thousand that's raised a lot of eyeballs was the accountant that
00:33:47.180 far off is there something else going on that might warrant a scam so those are
00:33:51.640 the two things that are occurring at the same time on the issue of immigration
00:33:56.240 fraud it could be any member of his family of her family that is part of it
00:34:01.280 she could be assumed to be part of it she could be just a witness to it but
00:34:05.540 there is an interesting thing that we've known about for some years now it was
00:34:08.780 brought to our attention during the Minnesota legislative years of Ilhan
00:34:12.980 Omar in her initial biography she claimed that she became a citizen when she was
00:34:17.900 17 years old and her initial filing in court put a birth date that put her at
00:34:23.480 age 17 and then a couple years later her staff changed the official records in
00:34:28.880 Minnesota to update the birth date to a different year which would have put her
00:34:32.540 at 18 when she got her citizenship why is that important at 18 you're an adult
00:34:38.300 that must get your citizenship independent of your parents at 17 you
00:34:42.300 You can inherit your citizenship from your parents if your parents are naturalized.
00:34:46.320 And that is exactly in the time frame on that calendar where her father gets naturalized
00:34:52.820 in the United States.
00:34:53.820 So that is one of several things they're looking at.
00:34:56.360 The other one, of course, is the long lingering question of whether she married her brother.
00:35:01.140 It appears from comments that the Homeland Security Secretary Mark Wayne Mullen made
00:35:05.480 and the White House Borders are Tom Homan that the U.S. government has reason to believe
00:35:10.500 she also did that.
00:35:11.620 That could also be another act of immigration fraud just to get her brother into the country
00:35:15.920 if that were to have happened.
00:35:17.200 So there's a lot around this specific search warrant that justifies the inquiry.
00:35:22.860 It doesn't mean the proof will turn up, but they're clearly believing they have enough
00:35:26.700 and certainly a judge felt like they had enough probable cause to approve the search.
00:35:30.520 And then there's a lot of other things that surround the Ilhan Omar family, the association
00:35:35.020 with the Somali immigrant community that's now in the middle of this multi-billion dollar
00:35:40.400 Welfare scandal, her own brother having an arrest, other questions about grants that she may have routed to family members when she was in the state or congressional role.
00:35:49.520 And so the whole family, any one of those things could become part of a conspiracy case if the government begins to detect a pattern of conduct, a pattern of fraud.
00:35:58.740 Again, she's assumed innocent, but these are the sort of things that are at the heart of the investigation now.
00:36:05.720 Why would they do this?
00:36:07.460 you know we have a standing rule it's not a law but a standing rule that you don't do these things
00:36:13.220 right before an election yeah why would they do that it's a great question uh i will tell you you
00:36:19.540 can look at this because president trump has often tweeted this particular story out i spent two years
00:36:24.620 trying to get these immigration files because i thought the statute of limitations had passed on
00:36:29.040 her and i felt it was important for the american public to get those files i started putting in
00:36:33.280 FOIAs and requests all last year, all this year, I kept getting turned down. Eventually,
00:36:38.240 in a story we wrote just a couple months ago, they said, the reason you're turned down this
00:36:41.180 time is there's an ongoing investigation. My suspicion is that only recently did someone
00:36:48.680 in the Trump administration go back and look at the file. Maybe someone in the bureaucracy said,
00:36:52.100 oh, it's old, statute of limitations passed. But for some reason, Mark Wayne Mullen and his
00:36:58.120 Homeland Security Investigations Unit took up this, appears to have found something,
00:37:02.580 certainly enough to convince a judge, and sometimes criminal cases don't follow the
00:37:09.560 clock of an election, particularly if Ilhan Omar is not the target of the investigation.
00:37:16.160 One possibility here is that another family member is the target of the criminal investigation.
00:37:22.640 She's a witness, therefore rating her isn't affecting her election under the manual.
00:37:28.200 She's not the target.
00:37:29.900 But what evidence they find could lead to an ancillary action by the Justice Department.
00:37:35.340 That is, let's suppose that she committed immigration fraud, and I'm not saying she
00:37:39.340 did, but if she did, in an earlier timeframe outside the statute of limitations, there
00:37:44.080 is no statute of limitations for being deported or denaturalized.
00:37:48.680 And so it could very well be that what's going on here is they're gathering evidence of a
00:37:52.400 denaturalization proceeding, which is not a criminal proceeding, which the U.S. Attorney's
00:37:56.600 manual does not require that 60-day window before elections not to do action. So there
00:38:02.180 is something about the timing that might hint at what the government may actually be looking
00:38:06.260 at.
00:38:08.760 What about the idea that her father was part of, you know, the regime in Somalia that he
00:38:15.780 said he was trying to escape? Could that be playing a role in this at all? And what would
00:38:22.980 that mean? Anything's possible, right? If I understand correctly, I think her father
00:38:26.600 passed already. But that leaves other family members who could have been involved in this
00:38:32.600 or other members of the Somali community that could be involved in it. They could be looking
00:38:37.880 at it as a conspiracy, which is you get in the country illegally. And again, I'm not
00:38:42.040 saying it is, but let's suppose that's what they're looking at. And then when you got
00:38:44.820 here, you started engaging in the sort of fraud that would get you deported if you were
00:38:49.400 resident alien or a legal alien and so a lot of times these cases start with one
00:38:56.340 thing but because someone did one thing they start to look well maybe maybe they
00:39:00.320 didn't have a problem breaking other laws and it expands and the aperture of
00:39:03.620 the lens for the investigation gets wider so anything's on the table I do
00:39:08.300 think there's a lot of activity in the Somali community of investigation going
00:39:11.780 on by the feds beyond welfare fraud now I think there are legitimate questions
00:39:16.880 about whether government officials were involved in facilitating the fraud or looking the other
00:39:21.280 way in the fraud, whether people who are in a position to send money from their government
00:39:28.360 positions, i.e. a legislature, a congresswoman, she's been both, Ilhan Omar is, or a state
00:39:33.260 official, and that maybe there was complicity to keep this community happy so they would
00:39:37.940 keep voting Democrat and that some of that either came into intentional fraud or willful
00:39:43.120 blindness to fraud. Certainly the state workers who said they were trying to bring this to
00:39:47.160 the attention of Governor Watts for years, they've made that claim pretty credibly and
00:39:51.440 they've backed it up with documents enough so that Congress now wrote a report saying
00:39:54.680 they believe it. So this could be, you start with one crime and then you ask yourself,
00:39:59.200 well, it looks like this person did this. They had no problem doing that. Are they doing
00:40:02.900 other things? And that aperture opens up and all of a sudden you find five or six things
00:40:06.760 that you didn't expect to find.
00:40:10.660 The warrant, you have to be really specific
00:40:14.680 on where you think something is in the house
00:40:17.060 and what you're looking for.
00:40:18.940 Any idea what they may have been looking for?
00:40:22.220 I would guess if you're looking at immigration fraud,
00:40:25.420 you'd be looking for photos of, let's say,
00:40:28.160 you're trying to figure out was that her brother or husband,
00:40:30.480 her first marriage, photos of them as children,
00:40:33.920 letters, birth certificates, anything that would be.
00:40:36.740 show that they were related and not eligible to be married to get the immigration benefits
00:40:41.480 of marriage. They might be looking for DNA. Is there the brother, father's, or Ilhan Omar's
00:40:49.180 DNA in a way that they can get it to prove familiar relationships that are being denied
00:40:53.280 in public? They could be looking for financial records. They could be looking for emails.
00:40:59.140 We eventually, because the law requires it, will see what's called a search warrant return. You'll
00:41:04.000 see the application get unsealed, usually 5 to 25 days after a raid occurs you tend to
00:41:09.520 see that.
00:41:10.520 That's when we found out the evidence against John Bolton last year, for instance.
00:41:15.560 And so those things will get unsealed and all of a sudden you'll understand the predicate
00:41:19.780 for the investigation, what the probable cause claim was, and what they found in the house
00:41:24.140 that the investigators thought relevant enough to take under the authority of a search warrant.
00:41:29.000 And that will give us a visibility moment.
00:41:30.520 I suspect that won't happen before the election, though it could.
00:41:36.500 This is a question I always hate asking you because it destroys my hope every time.
00:41:43.020 Yeah.
00:41:44.300 What's going to come out of this, John?
00:41:46.760 What is your feeling on this one?
00:41:49.580 So I've been on the same roller coaster you have, Glenn.
00:41:52.240 You do lots of this great reporting.
00:41:54.380 You try to help people.
00:41:55.380 I've been in the White House declassifying documents,
00:41:58.180 and you see this extraordinary body of evidence.
00:42:00.520 And then you see the people implicated in that body of evidence walking free, thumbing their nose, going on television, making money, writing false letters that mislead Americans in elections.
00:42:09.880 And you're like, is it worth even doing this? And the answer, of course it is. It is.
00:42:14.220 I have detected since the beginning of the White House task force a new sentiment in the Justice Department in the prosecutorial world.
00:42:25.440 And I'll just use some examples. So, you know, our original releases at the task force were the basis for the president's July speech about China interventions in our election, including the theft of voter records, the fact that there were a lot of non-citizens on voter rolls and some appeared to have voted, and then the election vulnerabilities.
00:42:47.580 Now, I can tell you from the work I've done that this has long been known in the government,
00:42:53.220 but it had never gotten to the president's attention.
00:42:55.120 In fact, there was an intentional effort by the intelligence world to keep two presidents
00:43:00.040 and probably two congresses in the dark on this.
00:43:03.580 The antiseptic of light kicked in a whole new sort of activity at the Justice Department.
00:43:08.960 And I suspect it wasn't that the Justice Department wasn't looking at it, it was probably the
00:43:12.440 career people like, there's nothing going on there, nothing there, it's rare, it doesn't
00:43:15.460 happen.
00:43:16.460 sudden you've seen north of a hundred non-citizens charged with voting you got a major criminal
00:43:21.500 investigation in new jersey about maybe systemic non-citizens getting on the board you've seen
00:43:27.180 some new actions taken to protect our voting machines the intelligence that we made public
00:43:31.820 was six years old but nobody ever acted on it until donald trump gave his speech um you heard
00:43:37.660 the other day that uh john brennan in a court filing said he was told by prosecutors he's a
00:43:43.180 a target you only give someone a target notification if they're about to be
00:43:46.900 indicted I see an awful lot of activity in the grand jury talking to defense
00:43:51.040 lawyers looking at activity and behavior by James Comey and his inner circle I
00:43:57.880 didn't see that activity for much of the last first 13 or 14 months of the Trump
00:44:02.440 presidency except in the FBI the FBI was always churning but it seems to me that
00:44:06.880 the Justice Department is in a different gear and that gear has been kicked in for
00:44:11.860 different reasons. HSI takes on Ilhan Omar separate of DOJ. They drive that case. The
00:44:17.580 president's speech puts new evidence out there. I've seen more accountability, activity before
00:44:22.520 grand juries and in courts in the last eight weeks. And I saw, quite frankly, in the first
00:44:27.680 six years of the two Trump presidency. So something is going on, but it only matters
00:44:32.900 if you get results. And the result will be someone being charged if there is criminality
00:44:37.500 and or being sued or being charged with fraud or having their job taken away I
00:44:43.740 think we're in a window now where we're gonna finally know the answer I don't
00:44:47.520 know which one it will be but there's enough activity that the Justice
00:44:50.820 Department is probably going to give us some clarity and certainly on election
00:44:54.360 integrity you're seeing things you've never seen before in the history of the
00:44:58.440 Justice Department not Trump I mean there have never been this many non
00:45:01.680 citizens prosecuted in the history of the Justice Department in one year you've
00:45:06.120 never seen a case like they're bringing in California where the pay-to-play with
00:45:10.520 the homeless people has blossomed into a very big scandal and last night while
00:45:14.520 you and I were probably getting ready for bed Glenn the Justice Department did
00:45:17.640 something really significant something they could have done a year or two ago
00:45:20.460 but they did it they told California we see these many people that we think are 0.84
00:45:24.420 non-citizens on the 26 voter rolls you better get them off before Election Day
00:45:28.440 because if you allow them to cast the ballot we're coming to charge you with 0.99
00:45:32.240 knowingly and willfully letting an illegal alien vote or a non-citizen foreigner vote.
00:45:38.100 And that's never been done before. 0.93
00:45:40.180 That is a shockwave.
00:45:41.340 That's activity we haven't seen in the past.
00:45:44.960 I have to tell you, that was, you know, one of my benchmarks was, you know,
00:45:50.480 I get a year for free, and then I think I might have even talked to you and you said,
00:45:58.100 It takes a long time to make these cases, but I'm not seeing a lot.
00:46:03.980 But now here we are at this turning point.
00:46:06.560 I hope you're right.
00:46:10.180 I hope we are beginning to see this turn.
00:46:13.640 We owe the American people this.
00:46:14.920 By the way, Democrats deserve this as much as Republicans because at the end of the day,
00:46:18.660 if you allow this to go unpunished, what we've all exposed over the last decade,
00:46:22.600 you've been such an important part of this, Glenn, it will become the norm.
00:46:26.200 and in some future presidency, maybe it'll be a Republican group of James Comey's and John Brennan's
00:46:30.920 that do what did to President Trump. What motivates President Trump, it bothers me when I see these
00:46:35.580 media people say he's just trying to get revenge on his critics. I'm sure he doesn't mind the fact
00:46:40.680 that his critics are filling the heat, but he has said to me many times, I don't want another
00:46:45.280 president to go through what I had to endure. I just want to save the future presidents the
00:46:49.100 crap I had to go through. That's really insightful for this president. He's not running again. 0.96
00:46:53.440 And so this is really for posterity's sake.
00:46:56.620 And I think this generation of the Justice Department will answer the question,
00:47:00.260 are we headed to becoming a banana republic or have we stopped the bleeding?
00:47:04.620 I hope you're right. 0.98
00:47:05.720 I hope you're right.
00:47:06.960 John, as always, thank you.
00:47:08.700 Appreciate it.
00:47:09.300 You never disappoint.
