00:30:11.140 and reauthorize a widely misused and abused system within fisa section 702 uh you go on to talk about

00:30:19.640 how hey congress is now they're protected but you left everybody else out so what's happening today

00:30:28.360 so basically what we did was we saw that there was this massive orchestrated effort and even

00:30:35.560 from the intelligence community to really get members to vote for this version of fisa which

00:30:41.040 is completely unconstitutional we allowed the bill to come to the floor however the warrant

00:30:46.780 amendment that representative biggs had put forward that would require the federal government to get a

00:30:52.440 warrant if they're going to surveil you that actually failed by one vote and so that is something that

00:30:58.600 one if you're a member of congress and you're not supporting that you need to find a different job

00:31:02.240 but also two we weren't going to go down without a fight and so i did something that is not commonly

00:31:07.740 done by the governing majority and and i brought forward a motion to reconsider which means i made

00:31:12.920 i objected to them passing this out of the house and basically wanted to give everyone a second chance

00:34:07.580 racial justice protesters and political activist groups that organize protest searches based on witness

00:34:14.260 report that two men of middle eastern descent were loading cleaning supplies into a truck searches

00:34:20.120 for a state court judge who reported civil rights violations to the fbi the fbi conducted batch search

00:34:27.420 searches that included current and former federal government officials journalists political commentators

00:34:33.900 am i on that list and 19 yeah 19 000 donors to congressional campaign the fbi conducted a search on a member of congress

00:34:42.200 and a u.s senator uh that's uh that's not good it's not good it's not good at all and we do have the opportunity to stop it
