00:00:00.000 Great program today. Great podcast. You don't want to miss a second.
00:00:04.080 We had some amazing people on today.
00:00:05.860 We had Chip Roy, who was talking about the Republicans losing their spine, perhaps,
00:00:13.460 and not standing against the vaccine mandate.
00:00:16.240 Also a representative who had the Capitol Police seemingly spying on him.
00:00:20.940 I mean, he says he has the evidence.
00:00:22.700 He says Stasi and Gestapo.
00:00:24.680 Yeah, that was amazing.
00:00:25.860 It's a little frightening, especially with something we lead the podcast with,
00:00:29.280 something, a new DHS bulletin on the state of readiness because terror threats are increasing.
00:00:39.980 We read it to you in its entirety, and it is a little bone chilling.
00:00:45.140 A lot of things on this program, including an update from the truckers in Canada
00:00:49.880 from a police officer who said, I can't be a part of this anymore,
00:00:53.960 and the last living member of the Bill of Rights, if you will, of Canada.
00:01:01.340 We talked to him because he's suing the government.
00:01:04.740 All right, so there is a new terrorism advisory that has come out from the Department of Homeland Security,
00:01:27.060 and I will tell you, it is, to me, bone chilling.
00:01:32.340 But hey, I don't want to be part of a misinformation or disinformation campaign.
00:01:38.540 I think the government has our best interest.
00:01:42.260 Ronald Reagan was wrong when he said, government isn't the solution, government is the problem.
00:01:49.300 That was very dangerous rhetoric, anti-government rhetoric, quite honestly.
00:01:56.240 When George Washington said, when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
00:02:04.000 When the people fear the government, not so much, not so much.
00:02:09.660 He said something like that.
00:02:10.680 Anyway, here is the original Department of Homeland Security bulletin that we were all shocked and horrified by January 27th, 2021, a year ago.
00:02:25.800 It stated, and I quote,
00:02:27.640 The acting Secretary of Homeland Security has issued a National Terrorism Advisory System bulletin due to a heightened threat environment across the United States,
00:02:37.400 which DHS believes will persist in the weeks following the successful presidential inauguration.
00:02:43.020 Information suggests that some ideologically motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition,
00:02:55.840 as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives, could continue to mobilize or incite or commit violence.
00:03:06.420 Okay.
00:03:07.580 All right.
00:03:09.080 All right.
00:03:09.800 I remember going, wait a minute.
00:03:11.380 They think that anybody who believes that the election was not exactly on the up and up is going to commit violence.
00:03:21.940 Huh?
00:03:22.740 Oh, okay.
00:03:24.300 I guess we're all terrorists.
00:03:25.940 Nah.
00:03:27.200 No, that is so old timey of you to think.
00:03:33.060 Here's the new one that remember is just a renewal of the one I just read to you.
00:03:40.000 Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security renewed the terrorist threat, and it says,
00:03:48.480 The United States remains in a heightened threat environment, fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories and other forms of mis, dis, and malinformation.
00:04:08.080 By the way, there's a hyperlink that takes you to another page where the Department of Homeland Security is going to help you fight mis, dis, information.
00:04:17.700 They've got a site where you can say, you know, this is, oh, no, no, that's a conspiracy.
00:04:21.980 It's great.
00:04:22.380 Um, uh, let's see.
00:04:25.720 It is, uh, introduced and or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors.
00:04:32.400 These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence.
00:04:50.760 Now, that is weird because I would agree if we were talking about, oh, I don't know, Antifa, if we were talking about people who were burning the streets down, but we're not really talking about those people.
00:05:07.540 In fact, we're not really even talking about the people who might be encouraged to go for violence.
00:05:18.660 No, what we're really talking about are the actors that are using mis, dis, and malinformation online that seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions.
00:05:37.380 Wow, uh, that sounds like the Democratic Party.
00:05:42.320 Who's been undermining this institution and all institutions of our government besides the people who are running it?
00:05:50.900 MASH casualty attacks and other acts of targeted violence conducted by lone offenders and small groups acting in furtherance of ideological beliefs and personal grievances pose an ongoing threat to the nation.
00:06:07.780 While the conditions underlying the heightened threat landscape have not significantly changed over the last year, the convergence of following factors has increased the volatility, unpredictability, and complexity of the threat environment.
00:06:24.220 One, the proliferation of false or misleading narratives, which so discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.
00:06:35.380 Two, continued calls for violence directed at U.S. critical infrastructure, soft targets, mass gatherings, faith-based institutions, such as churches, synagogues, and mosques, institutions of higher education, radical and religious minorities, government facilities and personnel, including law enforcement and the military and the media, and perceived ideological opponents.
00:07:00.740 And calls by terrorist organizations, foreign terrorist organizations, for attacks in the United States based on recent events.
00:07:09.640 Okay.
00:07:10.700 All right.
00:07:11.620 Okay.
00:07:13.120 Now, listen, they have some additional details here that they would like.
00:07:17.380 The primary terrorism-related threat to the United States continues to stem from lone offenders or small cells of individuals who are motivated by a range of foreign and or domestic grievances, often cultivated through the consumption of certain online content.
00:07:37.900 There's no hyperlink to that.
00:07:40.280 I don't know what that certain content is, but it is contributing to the heightened threat of violence in the United States.
00:07:50.640 Key factors.
00:07:53.100 Number one, the proliferation of false or misleading narratives which so discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.
00:08:01.720 For example, there is widespread online proliferation of false or misleading narratives regarding unsubstantiated widespread election fraud and COVID-19.
00:08:14.400 Grievances associated with these themes inspire violent extremist attacks.
00:08:20.320 Okay.
00:08:21.340 All right.
00:08:22.360 Okay.
00:08:23.140 Joe Rogan, I hope you're listening.
00:08:26.200 Ben Shapiro, I hope you read that.
00:08:28.960 I know the blaze did.
00:08:33.480 I'd like to know, are we one of those websites?
00:08:36.760 Because it goes on to say that they are working with public-private partnerships that can analyze the online content and social media to be able to identify these actors that are spreading false narratives.
00:08:58.960 Well, I know that our mainstream media and also the social media giants have already made the blaze a target of misinformation.
00:09:13.120 You read some of our stuff, all of which we have won.
00:09:17.280 When we go to fight it, we win every single time.
00:09:22.000 But that hasn't stopped them from claiming that we are purveyors of mis- or disinformation.
00:09:30.620 Now, I want to show you that in, what was it, a month ago?
00:09:35.360 The New York Times, along with other think tanks, said it's time to take down these podcasts.
00:09:44.380 Because these podcasts are out of control.
00:09:48.120 Remember, Brian Stelter just said the other day, these are people that just don't want to listen to newsrooms.
00:09:55.340 I'll listen to newsrooms.
00:09:57.220 If you have both sides, if you can be an on it.
00:10:03.760 You know the latest?
00:10:04.980 Let me play this cut for you.
00:10:06.680 Let's see here.
00:10:09.020 It is CNN.
00:10:10.460 Here it is.
00:10:11.340 On masks.
00:10:12.240 Cut three.
00:10:13.780 Do you agree with the move?
00:10:16.700 I do.
00:10:17.660 There was a and is a time and place for pandemic restrictions.
00:10:21.760 But when they were put in, it was always with the understanding that they would be removed as soon as we can.
00:10:28.280 And in this case, circumstances have changed.
00:10:30.640 Case counts are declining.
00:10:32.340 Also, the science has changed.
00:10:34.120 We know that vaccines protect very well.
00:10:36.600 Stop just a second.
00:10:37.480 Stop just a second.
00:10:38.740 The science has changed on masks?
00:10:41.660 Can you show me a single, a single peer-reviewed paper that show that anything other than N95 masks really stopped it?
00:10:54.100 Really stopped it.
00:10:54.700 The science hasn't changed.
00:10:56.980 My understanding is the science never changes.
00:10:59.460 Never changes.
00:11:00.640 Our understanding of the science might change.
00:11:03.200 Right.
00:11:03.660 We may have been wrong before and are right now.
00:11:06.460 Right.
00:11:06.780 But the science doesn't change.
00:11:08.440 That's what's so great about science.
00:11:09.820 It's a constant.
00:11:10.400 Yeah.
00:11:10.860 No, no, no.
00:11:11.660 You just said two things.
00:11:13.220 And you're talking about two different things.
00:11:15.060 You just said science never changes.
00:11:19.460 But then you also said the science.
00:11:23.140 See, it's different.
00:11:24.240 When they say follow the science, that's different than follow science.
00:11:31.340 Science is great.
00:11:33.800 It's new discoveries.
00:11:35.320 It is challenging what is known.
00:11:37.640 It's never falling on your sword and saying, yeah, you know what?
00:11:42.520 Einstein was absolutely correct.
00:11:44.840 We don't know.
00:11:46.560 We don't know.
00:11:47.840 So, while we don't know, we're going to say that's the best theory.
00:11:52.300 Quantum mechanics.
00:11:53.560 That's the best theory.
00:11:55.180 It seems like crazy talk, but that's the best one out there.
00:11:59.120 We don't know.
00:12:00.900 We're going to continue to look.
00:12:03.180 This is our best understanding.
00:12:05.400 That's science.
00:12:07.440 The science is you will do what we say because we know all.
00:12:15.740 There's a huge difference there, and that's why the pushback is coming, because common sense has to kick in at some point, and it doesn't seem to be kicking in with people because they are science.
00:12:32.620 When you argue against me, you are arguing against science.
00:12:37.900 No, I'm not.
00:12:39.400 No, I'm arguing against the science.
00:12:43.000 The science that you claim you are.
00:12:47.560 No, you're not.
00:12:50.840 So, the New York Times and other left-wing groups said that they were going to start targeting podcasts.
00:12:56.840 Hello, Joe Rogan.
00:12:58.360 Hello, Ben Shapiro.
00:13:01.260 Hello, me.
00:13:03.200 Anybody.
00:13:03.980 Mark Levin.
00:13:05.440 They're going to target.
00:13:06.620 That was the announcement last month, and the New York Times said that we were responsible, partly responsible, encouraging people for violence on January 6th.
00:13:19.640 Couldn't be further from the truth.
00:13:21.240 We even told them and gave them the tape.
00:13:25.420 They wouldn't retract it because they're the science.
00:13:29.260 Facts don't matter.
00:13:31.680 Okay.
00:13:32.760 This was just published yesterday by Esquire.
00:13:37.840 Who knew it was still around?
00:13:40.640 It's worth paying closest attention now to the events in Ottawa, the capital of Canada.
00:13:45.940 The city and its residents continued to be besieged by an unruly conglomeration of truckers.
00:13:52.900 The situation is so critical and so unmanageable that Jim Watson, the mayor of Ottawa, declared a state of emergency.
00:14:00.660 The reason why we should pay closest attention now is because the usual flock of buzzards already seems to be circling in anticipation down here.
00:14:12.200 Since late January, the likes of Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee, damn, they're on to us.
00:14:22.420 The likes of Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee have used their large online followings to spread the word about the truckers' convoy,
00:14:34.760 garnering tens of thousands of engagements, including likes and shares and comments on social media posts in favor of the protest,
00:14:45.500 based on data from CrowdTangle, a social media analytics firm owned by Meta, Facebook's parent company.
00:14:55.900 Oh, my gosh.
00:14:58.580 So, something that I got a lot of heat for because I wasn't constantly talking about the truckers.
00:15:08.000 People online are like, why don't you talk about the truckers all the time?
00:15:12.200 Because, I mean, I don't know that much about it.
00:15:15.100 I had the guy on.
00:15:16.160 He seemed like a good guy.
00:15:17.420 I liked his, what he was saying.
00:15:19.360 This should be peaceful.
00:15:20.560 I don't necessarily like their blocking, you know, commerce, but, you know, they're Canadians.
00:15:26.240 They can do what they want to do.
00:15:28.060 I always believe that civil unrest should be just that.
00:15:33.600 It should be civil.
00:15:35.000 It should be kind.
00:15:36.540 It should be Martin Luther King kind of protest.
00:15:39.260 And I'm a little torn on this one, on how they're doing it.
00:15:42.680 But I haven't seen anything that they're violent.
00:15:45.680 In fact, the violence that was reported, you know, the person that came in and rammed their car.
00:15:50.860 Guess who that was?
00:15:52.180 An Antifa member.
00:15:53.400 The one who was actually doing violence up there was Antifa.
00:15:58.240 I guess we don't care about Antifa.
00:16:00.940 But I'm the reason why I've been promoting this?
00:16:05.800 That sounds like miss, diss, or malinformation.
00:16:10.520 Just a warning shot.
00:16:15.440 I'm telling you now.
00:16:18.020 Burn important information to disc.
00:16:22.260 If you find these shows as something that you think, I might want to go back and listen, burn it to disc.
00:16:30.960 They are like a drowning man.
00:16:35.160 And they are pushing anyone underwater.
00:16:40.520 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program, and we really want to thank you for listening.
00:16:54.280 All right.
00:16:55.100 There's something really exciting happening with the Capitol Police that I think you're just going to love.
00:17:02.860 There's a couple of things that are going on.
00:17:05.180 One of them is an inspector general investigation, because it looks like maybe the Capitol Police are a little out of control.
00:17:17.240 Who would have seen this coming?
00:17:19.280 They do not have to answer any FOIA.
00:17:23.700 No citizen can ask them for documents.
00:17:27.060 Only the leadership in the House can really get the documents from the Capitol Police and the inspector general.
00:17:36.840 There is a congressman that, what happened to him is kind of one of the real big reasons why the inspector general is getting involved.
00:17:46.920 His name is Congressman Troy Nails.
00:17:49.660 I like to call him T-Money, but he is with us now.
00:17:54.660 Congressman Nails, how are you?
00:17:56.620 Good morning, Glenn.
00:17:57.540 It's good to be with you, sir.
00:17:58.760 Good to be with you.
00:18:00.400 Can you tell me, the Capitol Police appear to be spying on Republicans, and tell your story of what happened to you.
00:18:12.360 Absolutely.
00:18:13.220 Appear to be spying?
00:18:14.320 No, we have the evidence that they're not just spying, they're gathering evidence and intelligence from members' offices,
00:18:23.900 and then having the intelligence section of the Capitol Police investigate those members, and I am one of those.
00:18:31.000 It was a weekend.
00:18:32.460 There was a Saturday afternoon, and the U.S. Capitol Police are claiming that one of my office doors, it was wide open.
00:18:41.220 And an agent or an officer went inside to check that no one should be there that wasn't authorized to be there.
00:18:49.460 I agree with that.
00:18:50.720 I said, yeah, you don't want to make sure.
00:18:52.340 And then while he was doing that, he noticed what he determined was suspicious writing on my board, my white board.
00:19:00.640 And that was my legislative priorities, Glenn.
00:19:03.360 I mean, they're going in there and spying now on what some of my legislation that I may be introducing, and they shared it.
00:19:10.900 They shared it with the intelligence division of the Capitol Police, who then sent it to hire.
00:19:16.200 And then I have three secret squirrels or deep, deep state, I'll say, undercover agents from the Capitol Police questioning my staff as to the content on that board.
00:19:26.540 Well, the content was pretty frightening, Congressman.
00:19:30.680 You had two things written on that board.
00:19:33.300 First of all, let's start with body armor.
00:19:37.860 What's frightening about that is the fact that we in America are buying body armor from China.
00:19:44.940 What the hell are we doing?
00:19:46.400 So I have drafted legislation to say we should not be buying body armor for our law enforcement agencies in this country from China.
00:19:56.520 And that's what the reason body armor was written on that whiteboard is because we are drafting legislation that says we should not be buying body armor from China.
00:20:06.860 And that's what it was.
00:20:08.100 So they claim that that was suspicious or threatening.
00:20:12.360 Threatening.
00:20:12.800 It's a threat to America to be buying body armor from China.
00:20:16.780 There ain't no question about that.
00:20:18.780 The next thing that I'd like to hear your explanation on is the map to what appears to be the closest exit or entrance for mad men to come in and do nefarious things.
00:20:37.760 Yes, up here in Washington, D.C., there are three separate buildings where members of Congress have their offices.
00:20:46.540 And I'm in the middle building.
00:20:47.860 It's the Longworth building.
00:20:49.560 A big building next to me is the Rayburn building.
00:20:53.020 So we had a handwritten map of the Rayburn building drawn on that board with an X on it.
00:21:00.060 And the Capitol Police, these secret squirrels, I'll say the Gestapo, came and asked my employee, my staffer, why is that map with that X?
00:21:10.120 What does that mean?
00:21:11.560 And my staffer told him the truth.
00:21:14.440 We were showing an intern on where the damn ice machine was because the ice machine in our building was broke.
00:21:22.780 That's the purpose of that drawing.
00:21:26.600 Okay.
00:21:27.120 Now, that sounds suspicious and threatening, doesn't it?
00:21:29.660 I have had several congressmen and senators tell me that the FBI has been spying on them.
00:21:39.260 The Capitol Police is turning into a Gestapo organization.
00:21:44.320 I had a congressman tell me last week that the FBI is the KGB.
00:21:49.680 What do we know about the inspector general and if he is somebody that is actually going to look into this stuff?
00:22:00.200 Well, I'm going to say this as it relates to Michael Bolton, not the singer.
00:22:05.160 Michael Bolton is the inspector general over the Capitol Police, and he was in my office last Friday.
00:22:11.680 And we spoke.
00:22:12.480 He's an old Secret Service agent.
00:22:13.980 He's been around a while.
00:22:15.160 He's got a little gray hair around the temples.
00:22:17.040 So I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's an independent, he's independent, and he's going to conduct a thorough investigation, which he agreed to do so.
00:22:26.060 And I said I would appreciate it if it was standalone and independent of any other investigation.
00:22:31.900 He agreed with that as well.
00:22:34.020 So I'm going to give him a little bit of the benefit of the doubt that he will look into this.
00:22:38.500 He did one hell of a job, Glenn, as it relates to January 6th and the numerous failures, and he identified numerous deficiencies with the leadership in the intelligence section of the Capitol Police.
00:22:52.640 January 6th, Glenn, the American people need to understand, January 6th should have never happened.
00:22:57.440 They had all the intelligence.
00:22:59.180 It was glaring them in the face.
00:23:01.160 The leadership in the intelligence section, they had it.
00:23:03.600 They just didn't share it.
00:23:04.800 They kept it in their pocket.
00:23:06.540 And what do we see today, you know, January 6th?
00:23:09.540 It could have been prevented and avoided if they would have shared the intelligence that we had.
00:23:16.500 What's scary about the Capitol Police is a couple of things.
00:23:20.800 One, they don't answer to anybody but the House leadership.
00:23:23.880 So, you know, if a bad Democrat or a bad Republican is running it, they can use it for whatever they want.
00:23:31.740 And there is no FOIA that can get in and see anything that they're doing.
00:23:38.080 They also are being loaded up with money.
00:23:42.440 While they're cutting the funding for police everywhere in this country, the Capitol Police is getting more funding, and they've made them into an intelligence operation.
00:23:55.000 And they're building now offices in Florida and in California, and I think now there's a third one.
00:24:01.940 And they say there are more of these Capitol Police headquarters to look into threats against the congressman.
00:24:11.400 Isn't that the FBI's job?
00:24:14.220 You would certainly think so.
00:24:16.220 And these three agents, these special agents that knocked on my door, my employee described them.
00:24:22.180 They look like construction workers.
00:24:23.940 So you're exactly right.
00:24:25.320 This is Nancy Pelosi trying to create her own intelligence agency within the Capitol Police to attack those, go after the individuals that have a dissenting point of view on January 6th.
00:24:38.920 And Leader McCarthy asked me to be one of the picks, to be on the select committee.
00:24:44.240 And I've been a very, very vocal critic of the leadership in the Capitol Police, specifically the intelligence section, about January 6th.
00:24:53.340 I've been very, very vocal and a critic about the death of Ashley Babbitt and Lieutenant Byrd, that investigation not even going to a grand jury.
00:25:03.380 That should have gone to the grand jury at a minimum, but it wasn't.
00:25:07.140 So, no, I feel certain Benny Thompson and Speaker Pelosi and others, they want me to go away.
00:25:14.260 They want to silence me.
00:25:15.680 They want to destroy me, questioning my character.
00:25:19.920 And that is their ultimate goal.
00:25:21.680 Go back to the FBI under Obama, the Russia collusion with Trump.
00:25:28.580 They had the FBI investigate them.
00:25:30.680 They did it to our dear friend Tucker Carlson with the NSA, looking at his emails and his text messages, because he's another America first.
00:25:39.180 And so this is what the left does.
00:25:41.940 They try to destroy people that do not agree with them and have a dissenting opinion.
00:25:48.020 Congressman, please stay in touch with us.
00:25:50.920 I appreciate you standing up and and shouting from the rooftops.
00:25:57.040 I think the only thing that is going to stop this is a Republican sweep.
00:26:01.780 But if the Republicans are like the Republicans last time, then nothing's going to change.
00:26:08.420 We need Republicans who will shut this corruption down and take anybody who has been involved in any kind of corruption, criminal corruption, and put their ass in jail.
00:26:23.100 Without question, Glenn, and I can assure you this in your listeners, they're toying with the wrong sheriff.
00:26:33.520 Good.
00:26:34.260 Glad to hear it.
00:26:35.380 Thank you very much.
00:26:36.260 That's Representative Troy Nails.
00:26:39.440 He is from the great state of Texas on the Capitol Police and what they are becoming.
00:26:47.860 The best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:26:54.680 All right.
00:26:55.360 We have Chip Roy coming up in just a second.
00:26:58.080 I have to tell you, Stu, I got an email in and I, I mean, I'm taking this at face value.
00:27:05.200 I got an email in yesterday.
00:27:07.300 Glenn, thanks for mentioning our Morton salt during your Sodom and Gomorrah explanation.
00:27:14.300 No reply necessary.
00:27:16.680 Rick Morton.
00:27:17.080 Morton.
00:27:19.780 I mean, the Morton people still own Morton salt or still have interest in it or just, I mean, is this just a guy who was like, yeah, that's my family that started it.
00:27:28.960 I'm, you know, on a yacht someplace with all the salt money because we sold it.
00:27:33.880 I'm not working there anymore.
00:27:35.300 Who would work in the salt mines?
00:27:37.520 That's kind of cool, isn't it?
00:27:38.500 That is really cool.
00:27:39.560 It's like when.
00:27:41.480 Not a lot of people like their product associated with Sodom and Gomorrah.
00:27:44.320 Yeah, I know.
00:27:45.200 I know.
00:27:45.460 I know.
00:27:45.960 You know, it's, it's, what's funny is it reminds me when Kathy Walgreens came in.
00:27:51.540 Do you remember this?
00:27:52.180 Yeah.
00:27:52.720 Kathy Walgreens came in and, and I'm just talking to her and I just know her as Kathy and somebody introduces themselves and I'm there and she said, hi, I'm Kathy Walgreens.
00:28:03.380 And I said, that's a smart ass.
00:28:06.520 Oh, I love your drugstore.
00:28:08.320 And she said, thank you.
00:28:09.460 And I was like, oh my, you really are that Kathy Walgreens.
00:28:13.760 Okay.
00:28:14.080 Anyway, uh, we have, uh, uh, Chip Roy on.
00:28:18.460 Hello, Chip.
00:28:20.100 Glenn, how are you, my friend?
00:28:21.300 Well, I'm pretty good.
00:28:22.560 Um, better now that I'm talking to you.
00:28:24.740 Tell me what happened yesterday.
00:28:26.240 Cause you were saying, look, this should be a litmus test for all those that love freedom.
00:28:32.460 Don't pass the spending bill unless it doesn't include any of the mandates.
00:28:40.980 No, that's right.
00:28:41.840 And you know, the good news is that 161, I think of my colleagues, uh, 160, my colleagues and I agreed and, uh, you know, we didn't support the continuing resolution.
00:28:52.380 The bad news is that 51 did.
00:28:55.480 Okay.
00:28:55.780 I thought it was reverse.
00:28:56.820 So I, I'm coming into this as a victory.
00:28:58.800 I'm like, oh, only 51.
00:29:01.340 I thought only 51 stood.
00:29:03.260 Okay.
00:29:03.700 So, yeah.
00:29:04.440 So 161 Republicans opposed it.
00:29:06.920 However, 51 Republicans voted to continue to fund the government, which is going to fund enforcement of these vaccine mandates in our military, against our healthcare workers, against our border patrol agents, against our law enforcement personnel.
00:29:21.480 And it's wrong.
00:29:22.140 And look, I hope the Senate will take up the fight, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
00:29:25.560 No, it's much McConnell.
00:29:26.700 The problem you have in Washington is that the leadership in Washington is quote, more concerned or is more concerned about quote, taking back the Senate, taking back the house.
00:29:37.300 And they think they can just play this game through the year of letting Democrats hang themselves.
00:29:41.460 But my friend, Steve days, who, you know, well wrote this morning in a tweet thread that Democrats are about to take the Omicron off ramp and they're going to start to be able to kind of move on and say,
00:29:52.060 look, we did it.
00:29:53.200 Yes.
00:29:53.640 And we're never going to hold these tyrants accountable for shutting down our entire way of life and forcing jabs into the arms of the American people and then firing our troops and firing our doctors.
00:30:06.300 So we ought to stand strong and Republicans can't just assume we're going to get power in November when we don't fight.
00:30:12.320 We ought to be fighting for the people.
00:30:14.120 They are about to, I'm telling you, it's coming.
00:30:16.300 We were just having that same conversation on the air about an hour ago.
00:30:19.900 They're about, and it's going to be agonizing.
00:30:21.280 They're about to take a victory lap and they're never going to say that this was the inevitable outcome of a virus.
00:30:29.160 You know, this is repeating the pattern of the flu virus of 1918.
00:30:34.780 And it really had nothing to do with anything that man did.
00:30:40.840 This is the way the virus plays out.
00:30:42.700 But they are going to take credit for all of this.
00:30:45.480 And they're only bending now because they see the people are standing up.
00:30:49.940 How do the Republicans not see the people standing up?
00:30:55.420 Look, right now there is more fight in five of those Canadian truckers than there is in the whole of the Republican conference.
00:31:04.340 OK, and that's the reality.
00:31:06.960 And Republicans have got to understand that we can talk about task forces and a contract with America and about what we're going to do.
00:31:14.560 But look, those are words and we don't need more words.
00:31:18.860 We need Republicans who will demonstrate a resolve, a commitment to stand up for the people that sent them here to fight for them.
00:31:26.420 That's why Trump was successful.
00:31:28.940 That's why people rallied around Trump, because he was talking about America first.
00:31:32.980 He was talking about real Americans.
00:31:34.460 And he came up here and he said he was going to challenge the status quo.
00:31:38.460 And too many of my colleagues are running around the cloakroom right now wearing their khakis and their vests and they're ready to get on their airplanes so they can go make their hunting trip or they can go make their fundraiser golf getaway or whatever.
00:31:50.680 Instead of saying we should be here right now in Washington, right now, denying the funding of these mandates.
00:31:57.200 Because somewhere in America today, a doctor is going to lose his or her job, a nurse is going to lose his or her job, a Marine, any one of our men and women in uniform is going to lose his or her job because they don't want to succumb to tyranny.
00:32:12.500 And dadgummit, if the Republican Party can't stand up for liberty against the tyranny of government to force a needle in your arm against your will when there's literally zero science for it, even if that should matter in the calculus, I don't even know why the Republican Party exists.
00:32:26.980 And so we should be standing up and fighting.
00:32:28.860 So you want to name some names?
00:32:32.020 Well, look, I mean, there's so many of the 51.
00:32:34.240 I mean, I'm happy to go through the list.
00:32:35.960 Was there any was there anybody that was campaigning the other direction?
00:32:40.720 You know, that's a good question.
00:32:42.040 And we should go look at that.
00:32:43.120 I promise you, I promise you that of the 51 Republicans who voted for it, including five Texans, by the way, you would look at that list and you would go out and see speeches talking about how they oppose the mandates,
00:32:55.080 about how they think the mandates are wrong.
00:32:57.380 But you'll go look and say, well, you just voted to fund it.
00:33:01.260 You know what they hide behind, Glenn?
00:33:02.900 They hide behind, well, this is a three-week continuing resolution.
00:33:06.500 We'll push this to March 11th.
00:33:08.160 This is a short-term funding.
00:33:09.880 We've got to make sure our men and women in uniform have all the funding they need.
00:33:13.100 We've got to keep funding Border Patrol, and we've got to keep the government on.
00:33:16.440 We don't want to have a shutdown.
00:33:17.960 If we have a shutdown, the American people are going to hold it against us, and we're going to lose in November.
00:33:22.140 Look, that is absolute nonsense that is spewed by consultants and pollsters in this town rather than just standing up and saying it is Democrats who would seek to shut down the government
00:33:36.440 rather than allowing individuals to carry out their own conscience and not be fired because they choose not to get vaccinated.
00:33:44.080 But it is a three-week time period.
00:33:48.580 I mean, it's three weeks.
00:33:49.700 And I understand.
00:33:51.000 I'm with you, Chip.
00:33:52.360 But it is three weeks.
00:33:54.600 Why can't this happen again?
00:33:58.200 It can't.
00:33:58.700 Right.
00:33:59.080 Well, so that's why we're talking.
00:34:00.420 Right.
00:34:00.620 So all your listeners out there go, okay, well, we didn't stop it so far in the House.
00:34:04.800 Look, the Senate saw us to vote on it.
00:34:06.360 So I hope that the Senate Republicans can find their balls, but they won't.
00:34:10.340 And so when they go ahead and fund this over the next three weeks, then we should have this fight by March 11th.
00:34:16.680 Now, look, we're already winning.
00:34:18.220 Democrats, Steve is right.
00:34:19.860 They are taking the Omicron off ramp.
00:34:21.980 They are going to back away from most of these mandates.
00:34:24.520 But right now, today, I got emails yesterday from MD Anderson, the very hospital that helped save my life a decade ago, where you've got doctors and nurses who are facing being fired because they don't believe taking a vaccine is in their interest.
00:34:38.080 They believe they have natural immunity, and they don't think they should take it.
00:34:41.640 And so we've got people being fired today.
00:34:44.200 So Republicans, all you people listening, let your congressman or your senator know you expect them to get it right this time if it's still to vote in the Senate or by March 11th.
00:34:54.080 When this CR expires, we should not fund the enforcement of these mandates if they still exist.
00:35:02.680 I will be calling, because I've seen the list, and I will be calling a couple of people that are friends of mine that didn't vote with you and asking why and get off the fence here and vote for it the next time around.
00:35:17.700 And the other thing I did, Glenn, yesterday was introduce legislation to say that all of our men and women in uniform who have been discharged, they should, one, not be forced to get the vaccine.
00:35:30.120 Two, should be allowed to come back and serve and get their job back.
00:35:33.500 And three, get continued time of service towards retirement and towards their career advancement for the time since they've been locked out, whether that was 30 days ago or two years ago.
00:35:44.220 And so I introduced legislation yesterday to do that.
00:35:48.720 Well, thank you for that.
00:35:50.520 Is that going to go through or is that tied to this?
00:35:53.580 Well, who knows?
00:35:54.380 I introduced the bill yesterday in order to try to push the issue.
00:35:57.020 I would like to sort of advance that concept in any of the future funding fights to say, guys, let's include provisions in there to make sure that, you know, we've got people, they've literally lost their career after 15, 20, 25, 30 years of service.
00:36:10.400 And we shouldn't be forcing them to have to deal with that.
00:36:13.600 So there is the New York Post is reporting today that they found a little something in the covid relief bill that the Democrats ran through last March.
00:36:23.760 Do you remember when they were talking about we got to catch these people who are stealing money and not reporting it to the IRS?
00:36:30.320 Yes. And they were going to put in the first I think it was.
00:36:33.760 What was it? A thousand dollars or five thousand dollars.
00:36:37.060 And then it became ten thousand dollars over a year and they could spy on your bank accounts.
00:36:42.080 Right. Well, they there's a new IRS rule that is was in the covid relief bill and nobody caught it requires users of PayPal, Venmo and other third party payment services to report all transactions.
00:36:58.160 Over six hundred dollars a year to the IRS.
00:37:02.820 So they've got you.
00:37:05.440 If you're using digital now and not using the bank to pay for things, they now have access to everything that you do.
00:37:13.680 Well, this is this is where they're headed.
00:37:16.820 OK, and we need to remember that.
00:37:18.660 And everybody that's listening, understand we are at war with a corporate crony class that wants to take away your freedom and wants to run your life and tell you what to do.
00:37:29.980 It extends to what you just talked about in terms of the force of government coordinating with the force of corporate America to come after you.
00:37:38.700 But it's also what we're seeing with big tech and shutting down free speech.
00:37:42.480 It's also the old health care and big pharma and big insurance.
00:37:46.300 They are rolling in money.
00:37:48.440 Glenn, Pfizer is rolling in money.
00:37:50.580 And insurance companies, did you know, like Humana, I think if I if I'm getting my stat right, it's eighty nine percent of their revenue from federal government contract or I'm sorry, from government contracts across all levels of government.
00:38:03.880 Think about that.
00:38:04.940 Your insurance companies, the vast majority of our big insurance companies, they make the majority of their income from government.
00:38:11.000 We have a corporate crony system.
00:38:13.140 We have insurance run health care.
00:38:15.060 We have big tech, big education, right?
00:38:18.800 We have all of this collusion with all of these big entities and they are taking every step they can right now to shut you down.
00:38:25.780 You got big institutional investors with their ESG requirements and all of their, you know, woke ideology that they're trying to tie to every dollar that gets spent.
00:38:35.060 All of the banks are going to come in and use the banking power to shut down our ability to transact or work with folks.
00:38:41.700 You saw GoFundMe.
00:38:42.820 Now, thankfully, there was a backlash.
00:38:45.040 So GoFundMe said, OK, we're going to take those dollars and at least return it to people.
00:38:49.260 But that's still wrong.
00:38:50.480 People wanted to give money to those truckers.
00:38:52.500 And GoFundMe came in and said, no, no, no.
00:38:54.200 At first, we're going to steal it and give it to other charities.
00:38:57.100 Then they realize, oh, that might be a problem.
00:38:59.620 So now they're giving it back to the original donors.
00:39:02.220 But that's what they're going to do.
00:39:03.480 And the authoritarians, the tyrants, want to use corporate America.
00:39:08.360 And they've got willing, complicit friends in the boardrooms who are all too happy to use the power of corporate America to clamp down on our freedom in the name of the woke ideology.
00:39:19.380 It's amazing.
00:39:20.100 And the people who are all OK with it used to be the people that say fear corporate America.
00:39:25.520 And now they're all on board with corporate America.
00:39:27.740 It's weird.
00:39:28.860 Chip Roy, the Republican from the great state of Texas.
00:39:33.040 Congressman Chip Roy, thank you very much for being on the program today.
00:39:36.540 Thanks, Glenn.
00:39:37.100 Keep up the fight.
00:39:37.920 Thanks.
00:39:38.300 Everybody go out and read Glenn's book.
00:39:39.640 It's right on point.
00:39:40.260 God bless.
00:39:40.580 Thank you.
