00:00:00.000 Welcome to the podcast. Great show today for you. We have Selena Zito on the show.
00:00:05.380 She talks about what's really going on on the ground as we approach the November
00:00:08.940 elections. We have Bill O'Reilly, biggest news stories of the week. His position on the January
00:00:15.360 6th show trial, the Kavanaugh threats. We get into that with him. Michael Malice joins us as well.
00:00:25.380 And Ryan Kelly, a guy who's running for governor in Michigan who was just arrested
00:00:29.340 because of his appearance at the January 6th events. We will get into all that today. Don't
00:00:37.720 miss it. And the podcast, Stu, is brought to you today by Relief Factor. If you're one of the
00:00:43.600 millions of Americans who suffer every day from pain, get out of pain. Oh, easy for you to say.
00:00:50.060 Actually, no. I mean, it took me about 10 years to find something that actually worked for the
00:00:54.780 pain that I was having. And it was agonizing. And I'm not comparing it to yours. I'm sure yours
00:00:59.240 is worse. But I never thought anything like Relief Factor would work. It works on inflammation,
00:01:05.360 which is, to me, the language of bullcrap because I've never taken ibuprofen and had it work for me
00:01:12.600 ever. So, oh, it's going to reduce inflammation. That'll help you get out of pain. I didn't buy it
00:01:17.300 for a second. I tried it because my wife forced me to. After three weeks, I'm like, I don't think this
00:01:24.260 is really working for me. And I stopped taking it. And I couldn't believe how much pain had
00:01:29.060 already been relieved. And I started taking it again. And it just went, it got better and better
00:01:35.580 and better. And now I'm out of pain most of the time. It's fantastic. It's Relief Factor. I still
00:01:42.860 take it three times a day. It's a drug-free and natural way to get your life back. ReliefFactor.com.
00:01:48.840 And that's ReliefFactor.com.
00:01:57.820 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:02:05.020 Hello, I'm Erica. And welcome to the Glenn Beck Program. I'm your congenial host, Glenn Beck. It's
00:02:10.920 weird because Stu and I are both wearing t-shirts. And I'm telling you, I think it tells you everything
00:02:17.660 you need to know about Stu and about me. Really, it does. It does. Stu, what's your t-shirt say
00:02:24.600 there on the front? The t-shirt says, Nancy Pelosi sucks. Nancy Pelosi sucks. What does my t-shirt
00:02:32.640 say? Love thy neighbor. Yeah. I mean, on the back, it also says, unless she's Nancy Pelosi,
00:02:42.260 because she sucks. But I think that's all we need to know. We have the marching band at
00:02:48.020 the airport in Salt Lake City for your arrival this afternoon. You're going to come to my art
00:02:54.520 show. I don't know why, but you want to horn in on everything, I guess. Yeah, I was recently
00:03:01.380 watching a YouTube video of that Banksy auction where they shredded the paintings, and I was
00:03:06.760 inspired to make a trip. You're thinking about it? Okay, good. All right. Don't know what that
00:03:12.100 means exactly. Selena Zito is with us. Selena Zito is, I mean, this is a reporter that actually
00:03:20.140 gets it because she doesn't sit around in the Capitol and in New York City. She actually goes
00:03:28.500 out and talks to people, regular people. So she has her finger on the pulse better than,
00:03:33.340 I think, anybody else in the media. Selena, how are you?
00:03:38.420 Good morning, Sunshine. I'm swell. How are you?
00:03:43.820 I haven't heard anybody use the word swell in quite some time. By the way, Selena, you can find
00:03:49.760 all of her work at selenazito.com. Selena.com is where you can go and find her work. Selena,
00:03:55.580 I was reading an article that you did a couple of days ago, the rhetoric versus realism at the
00:04:02.960 pump. And you just had such a great handle on things. I wanted to talk to you a little bit
00:04:09.440 about that. But also along with January 6th and this thing that happened last night, do people
00:04:17.220 care about this?
00:04:18.400 You know, I didn't even know. So like part of being a reporter that's in the middle of
00:04:26.000 somewhere, I didn't even know it was happening until one of my colleagues said, hey, are you
00:04:39.080 going to watch the hearings tomorrow, tonight? And I said, what hearings? They said the January 6th
00:04:47.080 hearings. I'm like, why is it on prime time? That literally makes no sense unless it's going to be
00:04:52.720 a spectacle. And then I concluded that it's going to be a spectacle. And I'm like, wow.
00:04:58.800 The spectacle. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Seeing that it was produced by a guy who has produced television
00:05:06.180 for ABC, you know, kind of a giveaway. So Selena, what is actually going on in the country as you go
00:05:15.580 across and talk to individuals? What are they actually thinking about everything that's going
00:05:21.420 on right now?
00:05:23.120 Well, what is interesting, and again, people can check out everything I do at selenazito.com,
00:05:28.160 but because I have three full-time jobs. But so what, no matter what your political party is,
00:05:38.700 the same concerns are across the board with regular folks. And what do I mean by regular folks?
00:05:47.200 The folks that aren't involved in politics, either for a profession or because they have an illness
00:05:53.600 and they have to watch it all the time. But, you know, people, I mean, there isn't a time that I
00:05:59.620 don't pull up to a gas station, which by the way, is all the time because I'm always on a back road,
00:06:04.460 where you don't hear someone cussed at an inanimate object, meaning the gas pump.
00:06:10.080 Because, you know, the average cost now to fill up an average car is about $100. You know, that takes a huge chunk.
00:06:21.320 I put three gallons of gas in my car yesterday, three gallons, and it cost me over $18. And a word that
00:06:35.260 shouldn't follow the word holy was uttered at that pump. But I mean, I looked at that and I thought
00:06:45.460 that this is insanity. Insanity. How are people doing it? It is. Well, they aren't. So what people
00:06:54.600 are doing to sort of fake pretend that they're not getting gouged is that they'll only put $20
00:07:01.840 worth in their tank. And like, well, this is it for the week. And if I can't get where I need to go
00:07:09.500 with $20 gallons, I'm not going anywhere. But it's not that they're trying to not face reality.
00:07:16.620 They just they just have to find a way to manage reality. And that's what it what it what it's come
00:07:24.220 down to. But so the other thing I think is really important for people to understand is the impact
00:07:29.540 of the cost of diesel, because diesel is how we get everything that we want in our hands every day,
00:07:36.340 whether it's food, whether it's our order from Amazon, or Rayfair, or the fresh vegetables that
00:07:43.860 we want from a farm, or any of the energy that we need to heat our house or light our home,
00:07:49.720 all come is derived from diesel. So what does that mean? Everything in our lives cost a lot more,
00:07:57.060 because diesel, if you think gas is insane, the number so is diesel. But the other thing that
00:08:03.260 the thing that people are really deeply concerned about is crime, crime in in the in not just in
00:08:10.940 New York, not just in Chicago, not just in Washington, D.C. By the way, if you follow the
00:08:16.180 scanners on for many of those cities, it's just, it's like a horror movie. But you know, you know,
00:08:22.840 cities across the country, the crime wave is insane. And a lot of that has to do with two years ago,
00:08:29.660 starting to sort of place police officers on a lower tier of importance and significance in our
00:08:38.940 lives. And, and, and the direct result is that that the police are literally have their hands tied
00:08:48.000 behind their back in the things that they pursue. And criminals know that and they will literally get
00:08:53.220 away with stealing things right from underneath you knowing that there are no consequences.
00:08:59.640 And, and, and, and here's a, wait, wait, and here's another point on this. There's a story out
00:09:06.080 today, Michigan County limits in person response to 911 calls after blowing through their gas budget.
00:09:13.300 So now here we are in the middle, are we even in the middle of, uh, of June and they've already
00:09:22.660 blown through their gas budget. So now don't call the cops cause they can't come. That's astounding.
00:09:30.680 It's like ghostbusters. The streams have crossed. So not only can't the police departments afford the
00:09:37.360 gas, they can't send the police out to respond. Uh, you know, and the other thing, and I think
00:09:43.140 we really miss the significance of this, but the, you know, when people in the news, in particular
00:09:49.960 in the news organizations that don't cover the crisis at the border, they think of it as, um,
00:09:56.320 uh, sort of this racist reaction to people of different colors or different, um, places of
00:10:02.100 origin come into their country. And that's why they don't want them crossing illegally. That is not,
00:10:06.860 uh, we understand that most Americans understand that that is that innate drive to want to be
00:10:13.140 American and be free. However, what is also coming across the border is crime and drugs,
00:10:20.460 fentanyl, meth. And where does fentanyl and meth coming from? It's coming from China and it goes to
00:10:25.960 South America and it goes to Mexico. And then it comes not just to, um, uh, cities, but it's coming
00:10:33.000 to suburbs. It's not just a white Appalachian problem anymore. The city of Philadelphia, which is
00:10:38.720 majority minority has the highest rate of overdose deaths due to fentanyl and meth than any other city
00:10:45.560 in the country. That is now just not a white Appalachian problem. That is a problem that is
00:10:51.060 affecting everyone. So let me ask you, when will the, or are they already? I saw some of the poll
00:10:59.820 numbers, uh, with 18 to 24 year old adults. He's at Biden is at 20%, uh, Hispanics record lows for,
00:11:09.680 uh, Democrats and same with, um, blacks. Um, when do the American people know that this gas price is
00:11:20.540 not because of Vladimir Putin, it is because of ESG and these energy, uh, decisions that the financial
00:11:30.560 sector and the Biden administration and the left have made, when are they going to tie together
00:11:35.960 the food shortages and the diesel shortages and the crime? When are they going to say enough is enough
00:11:43.560 of these kinds of crazy policies? Oh, they, they already know that the press just doesn't think
00:11:51.360 they know that. That's the funny thing. It's, it reminds me so much of 2010 when I was following,
00:11:59.540 um, that midterm election, um, and the Democrats held power and, and John Boehner, God bless him.
00:12:08.400 He said the most simple thing. He said, turned around and said, when someone said, what is this,
00:12:13.660 you know, what, what are you, what are you Republicans all about? And he just turned around
00:12:17.800 and just sort of flippantly said, where are the jobs? And, and it is as simple as that. You know,
00:12:25.480 there is a midterm election of historic proportions that happened. I think it's 1892 or 94. I can't
00:12:33.880 remember. I did do a great, uh, unless you can say my story is great. I did a great analysis of
00:12:39.780 that midterm election where Democrats lost 130 seats, 130 seats. I'm not, I'm not, y'all can go
00:12:51.260 check it out at selenazito.com, but the similarities between what was happening in America then and what
00:12:58.780 is happening in America now are extraordinarily similar. So I think that all of these charts,
00:13:06.960 all of these guesses, all of these, you know, new, this leans right, this leans left, all of them
00:13:13.460 are not going to capture, uh, the amount, the, the, the breadth of the wave that the Democrats are
00:13:21.540 going to feel in November. They're just not, they don't understand. And part of the problem is,
00:13:26.600 so if you go ahead, no, I'm sorry. Um, I'm on a delay. So please, um, just keep going. If you
00:13:36.000 try to interrupt, just keep going. Um, the, uh, we'll finish your thought, finish your thought.
00:13:41.280 Well, I think the largest part of the problem is, is that reporters and Democrats and even
00:13:48.600 Republicans don't understand how big this is because oftentimes they're not having conversations
00:13:53.440 with people in real time in their real lives. And people are not always completely honest with a
00:13:59.720 politician or reporter, uh, especially one that's from New York or DC because they don't want their
00:14:05.800 name in print because they don't want people coming after them on social media. So, so they say
00:14:11.020 nothing or the, or, or they just shrug. Uh, but if you really know people and understand people,
00:14:18.580 which is what I do, not because I'm spectacular, but because I live in the middle of Appalachia,
00:14:25.320 right? People have a sort of sense of trust of someone who shares their values and, and it's going
00:14:31.080 to be monstrous. Wow. Um, all right, Selena, I, we need to talk again, um, probably next week cause I
00:14:42.060 learned so much from you and I just love your articles. Um, you're just very insightful and you,
00:14:48.140 you use history to, uh, to show the parallels. And I'm going to go back and read that, uh, about the
00:14:54.340 election of what was it? 1890. Which one was it? It was, it was Grover Cleveland, Cleveland second
00:15:01.740 term, that midterm election. Was it the, uh, was it the silver election? The one that was about the,
00:15:10.940 silver? Yes. Silver was part of that. It was 1894. It was 1894. That's right. Because it was right
00:15:17.980 before the year that William Jennings Bryant ran for president in 96. Yep. Uh, okay. Thank you so
00:15:25.660 much, Selena. I appreciate it. Uh, you can find all of her work at selenazito.com, selenazito.com.
00:15:31.520 If you really want to handle on what people are actually thinking that you're not seeing in
00:15:35.380 mainstream media, uh, read, uh, Selena Zito. This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:15:44.980 And we really want to thank you for listening.
00:15:53.660 Well, I don't really know if it's America's favorite, uh, uh, anarchist. Cause I don't know
00:15:59.480 how many anarchists there are, you know, in the running, but, uh, Michael is my favorite
00:16:05.660 anarchist and, uh, the host of your welcome. Uh, great, great podcast. You can find wherever
00:16:12.360 you get your podcasts or michaelmalice.com. Michael, how are you, sir? I am absolutely fantastic.
00:16:18.580 Good morning to you. So the biggest story of the week for you was what? Well, there's a few things,
00:16:27.660 but certainly, uh, the attempt on Brett Kavanaugh's life and the fact that this has been swept on the
00:16:34.140 rug by the corporate press, uh, and especially in the context of, uh, Senator Schumer's comments
00:16:39.800 about, you know, that there's going to be consequences for their behavior. Uh, it's just
00:16:44.580 amazing. And you and I talk about this constantly, how overnight narratives just switch off and on,
00:16:50.740 uh, when it suits the purposes of the enemy class and when it doesn't, uh, Sarah Palin very famously,
00:16:56.100 you know, was suing the New York times because they alluded to the fact that she used language
00:17:00.600 like crosshairs, uh, as a metaphor to encourage people to, to shoot. And obviously Congresswoman
00:17:06.080 Gabby Giffords, uh, was shot as a later, not as a consequence. Uh, but here where there's a kind
00:17:12.600 of a dynamic connection, uh, New York times is, you know, puts it on page eight 20. And remember,
00:17:17.920 here's the thing. I will remind people New York times on page a one above the fold, which is the best
00:17:23.240 real estate had an article about some kid from West Virginia watched Ben Shapiro videos and then
00:17:29.140 became radicalized and then became unradicalized. So that's front and center Supreme court justice
00:17:34.140 life in danger. A 20. I've never seen anything like it, Michael. And you know, I think that's why
00:17:42.200 the January 6th hearings fall so flat because they are trying to make this, um, uh, mountain out of this.
00:17:49.480 And I think if they would have reacted, uh, logically, cause I think everybody was outraged
00:17:54.820 by that. If they would have reacted logically and, and, and, and consistently, um, like they're
00:18:03.060 acting now with January 6th with BLM, I don't want anybody to serve more jail time or less jail time.
00:18:10.320 I want them to serve the jail time they deserve. If any, if they're breaking the law and there's no
00:18:18.420 credibility on this January 6th thing, except for the left, because it's their narrative, it's what
00:18:23.840 they want. And I think the other side is saying, look, you have no credibility at all because you
00:18:30.700 are not only dismissing BLM, you've also this week dismissed a threat on Kavanaugh's life.
00:18:38.320 I think they're freaking out going into the midterms because there are very little things to run on.
00:18:43.420 I'm specifically showing my age and remembering very vividly in 2006 when Elizabeth Dole, who had
00:18:48.980 been Senator at the time, uh, was head of the Republican Senate committee. And she was arguing
00:18:53.920 for why they should, people show up Republican in the midterms. And her argument basically was,
00:18:58.540 well, George W. Bush kept us safe. They had nothing else to really run on. And not only were they wiped
00:19:02.980 out, you know, in that off year election, she herself lost her seat. This was their last win.
00:19:07.740 This was the last, oh my God, the right are terrible. Uh, you know, you can't put, what can
00:19:12.600 you put on Republicans or conservatives or moderates of the right wing inflation, what's going on in
00:19:17.700 schools, Ukraine, go down the list of bad news. Now you might say this isn't Biden's fault and so
00:19:23.220 on and so forth, but you can't blame it on Kevin McCarthy or, you know, Mitch McConnell, any of these
00:19:27.460 things. So I think they're panicking. Uh, I think, um, November is far closer than people realize,
00:19:33.340 and I don't think they know what else to do. We're talking to Michael Malice, um, who is a,
00:19:41.480 an anarchist, but he's not like a black block. You know, I'm going to go take a club in the streets
00:19:45.920 and burn down cities. Um, uh, and it's why we get along. We disagree on things politically,
00:19:51.840 but a lot of things we agree on, but we both disagree with violence. Um, I do have that right.
00:19:58.080 Right. Michael. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. You're entitled to whatever opinion. Yeah. Good, good, good. I just,
00:20:03.340 all right, good, good. Just want to make, want to make sure. Um, and, um, the thing, you know,
00:20:09.680 anarchists, uh, from the left that are violent, um, and they are, they are, it's strange. They call
00:20:18.140 themselves an, uh, uh, anarchists, but they are actually more communistic in their, in their
00:20:23.980 viewpoints. Um, and I'm afraid, Michael, that those people have nothing to lose. They've never been
00:20:32.640 this close and this election period. And after the election, if, if they can't have it, no one will.
00:20:43.620 Am I misguided? Yes, I would say that so, because I would say if you compare the damage that all of
00:20:50.520 Antifa and the black block people could do, if they had their druthers, if you compare that to
00:20:56.020 what the federal government and state governments have been doing to peaceful citizens for the last
00:21:00.380 two years and are still doing now in other countries around the world, uh, vis-a-vis the
00:21:04.820 lockdowns, quarantines, when you have the federal, Antifa would never tell, have the power to tell the
00:21:10.040 justice department to investigate parents as domestic terrorists. So I think, you know, even if they had
00:21:16.120 complete machine guns, it would still nowhere come close to the systemic damage that's done, uh, by the
00:21:22.840 federal government and agencies like the New York times, mind you.
00:21:25.280 So I, I agree with you. However, maybe add this level of nuance. I'm, uh, I, I don't know how
00:21:35.880 exactly to say this, but I think there are anarchists, Marxists, revolutionaries in the
00:21:42.540 government. And those are the ones I'm more afraid of because they will use people like the black
00:21:48.680 blocks, uh, to create, uh, and BLM to create problems on the streets, but they will only use
00:21:55.320 it to enhance their power, cause, uh, chaos, cause all kinds of emergencies that only the federal
00:22:04.480 government can fix. And so they'll step in with their answer. That that's what really frightens me.
00:22:11.300 And there's historically been, uh, room for this. Um, but I would point out that it was,
00:22:17.420 I believe in the summer of 2014 when there were the rioting in Ferguson. And as a consequence of
00:22:23.000 this, the Republicans got bigger congressional majorities than they've had since 1946, I believe.
00:22:28.920 So yes, it's always the case that, um, the federal government is more than happy to have unrest in the
00:22:33.800 streets because that is a great excuse to, you know, go after people's guns and things like this,
00:22:39.300 you know, uh, have all sorts of, um, infringements on liberties because it's something we're taught
00:22:43.840 since we're kids that if bad people are doing things somewhere, therefore it means you personally
00:22:48.920 are going to have to, you know, join restrictions on your freedoms. It's a complete lie, but that is
00:22:53.680 the claim that we're taught from a very young age. So Michael, one other thought here. Uh, I'm,
00:23:01.640 I own a ranch in the mountains and I'm on it right now. And, uh, every bit of energy is being
00:23:09.100 created by solar and wind power right now. Uh, we have to be very careful and it is cost
00:23:14.780 literally hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it. No, no regular person could ever afford
00:23:22.540 anything like this. It's way too expensive. It's not practical. You can't really live the life that
00:23:30.040 you are used to. Um, but it's a hundred percent green and everything else. Um, and I did that.
00:23:36.400 I had a choice of running power lines here and it would have cost me a lot less, but I chose not
00:23:42.720 to take those power lines. Um, I care about the environment. Uh, I care about independence. Um,
00:23:50.520 and I believe I'm a good steward of this land and the animals on it. Now there is a split between
00:23:57.940 people who believe in, um, green energy, believe in, uh, you know, let's help the planet be, let's be
00:24:06.660 good citizens and those who are anti-human and the, the push for green with this administration
00:24:15.840 is, I believe anti-human, they will destroy all of society for their goals. Are people on the left
00:24:26.500 waking up at all on seeing, Hey, that your gas price, which is going to destroy your economy and
00:24:34.520 our economy, uh, is happening because of the green new deal and the build back better and the ESG
00:24:41.680 stuff. Well, I know not at all. And I think people on the right are oblivious to this as well. I would
00:24:47.620 point out that Margaret Thatcher was the one who introduced global warming into the UK, uh, Barry
00:24:51.980 Goldwater, uh, who's a, you know, as, as conservative, someone you can get, uh, was one of the first
00:24:56.740 people in politics to start talking about environmentalism. So this is, this is why it's
00:25:01.400 a smart move for the Democrats. And in Europe, the green parties are getting ascension as the
00:25:05.860 social Democrats or labor parties respectively are losing power in different parliaments because
00:25:10.760 this is something where there's broad political consensus. Uh, uh, people who are seeking power
00:25:15.600 don't care about trans people. They don't care about the environment. They don't care about BLM.
00:25:19.000 They care about whatever tool is at their disposal that they can use as a ladder to increase their
00:25:24.360 power, to maintain their power. So as long as there is a bipartisan consensus on any given
00:25:29.620 issue that will be leveraged as an excuse, uh, to increase the state at the expense of the
00:25:34.300 common person.
00:25:36.640 I heard a speech, um, given by, um, Noah, uh, I can't remember his name. He's the, the futurist
00:25:45.960 that the left loves he's, uh, you know, uh, with the world economic forum, he wrote, uh,
00:25:51.580 homo, homo sapien. Um, and I just heard a speech he gave where he said, I'm going to play
00:25:57.500 it on Monday. He said, and I quote, the real issue here is how we're going to deal with all
00:26:05.700 of these useless humans. And his, uh, suggestion was drugs and video games, um, because of the
00:26:15.700 future that they are creating right now. Uh, I agree with him what we're going to have problems,
00:26:21.220 but I don't look at people as useless humans. Um, and that's the problem. I mean, you can believe
00:26:27.760 in, you know, really taking care of the earth and you can do it better than I can. Uh, and that's fine.
00:26:34.040 But is there a point to where those people in society start to see this as anti-human and
00:26:41.060 dangerous? I mean, is there a breaking point? Well, I agree with him completely that a lot of
00:26:46.720 people are humans are useless. I will quote HL Mencken, the great, uh, journalist of the early
00:26:51.180 20th century, where he said the existence of most human beings is of absolutely no significance to
00:26:55.800 history, to human progress. They live and dies anonymously and as nearly uselessly as so many
00:27:00.220 bullfrogs and house flies, anyone can go to any mall, uh, you know, fast food place. And the
00:27:06.600 people around them are just, especially the cashiers are worse than useless, but that does
00:27:11.160 not. And, and, but the thing is, let me ask one question. Do you disagree that brave new world is
00:27:18.780 a lot closer to reality than 1984? Yes. Yes. You just, you disagree. I actually think they play into
00:27:26.280 each other. No, no, no. I think brave new world is exactly reality. And I think it eventually turns
00:27:32.660 you have to have a cage, uh, for some. So I think it's a hybrid in the end, it'll be a hybrid of the
00:27:38.140 two. But, but the way corporate media manipulates people isn't through threats of violence. It's
00:27:45.220 through pleasure. Why is Matthew McConaughey at the white house telling people about their guns?
00:27:50.440 Because people know him as an actor and therefore they're, you know, emotionally, uh, a lot, uh,
00:27:55.580 you know, to Ken to like what he has to say, it's complete deception and manipulation, but that is a
00:28:00.420 function of how things work as opposed to threats far more than the threats. Right. And by the way,
00:28:06.260 that's, that's only half the story yesterday. I don't know if you know this yesterday. I, I told the
00:28:10.700 real reason why he was at the white house, the guy who spent a million dollars, the Hollywood, uh,
00:28:17.080 lawyer that spent a million dollars to bail out Hunter Biden, uh, is the guy who represents,
00:28:25.300 um, Matthew McConaughey. And, uh, is so the call came in from the lawyer to Hunter to the white house
00:28:33.960 and guess who's there speaking to the press. Um, Michael, thank you so much. Any good plans for the
00:28:40.480 weekend in an anarchist world? What, what are those plans? I finally got, uh, I finally became an
00:28:46.400 American and bought my first gun this week. Uh, it's a lovely Masada from Israeli weapons industry.
00:28:51.660 So I will be going out and practicing, uh, my second amendment rights.
00:28:57.280 Yeah. Good for you. I think everybody, everyone should own a gun. And here's the reason the
00:29:04.080 government is getting more and more dangerous. And, you know, I don't know if you read this in
00:29:08.980 Michigan, the police now have run out of gas money in the budget. So you call 9-1-1, you have to
00:29:16.800 really prove that they should come. That's incredible. That's, that's absolutely amazing.
00:29:22.140 Yes. And I agree with you. You are the first responder. Yeah. Amen. Yep. Thank you. Michael
00:29:26.860 Malice. Amen. We'll talk to you next week. Michael Malice, host of your welcome. Follow him
00:29:32.720 at michaelmalice.com or wherever you get your podcast. The best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:29:51.080 Welcome to the Glenn Beck program. We have, um, we have an interesting story that broke last night
00:29:58.140 and I want to be real honest with you. Um, I'm doing this interview on the advice of a friend
00:30:04.380 who I think is a real spiritual, uh, locked in kind of guy who lives in Michigan. And he says,
00:30:12.780 he knows our guest and he vouches for him. I, I want you to do your own homework. I will do my own
00:30:19.700 homework, but I want to make sure this guy has a fair hearing because something smells really wrong
00:30:25.380 in Michigan. Um, we have Ryan Kelly. He is a Michigan gubernatorial candidate that yesterday
00:30:32.940 was handcuffed and arrested on a January 6th Capitol riot charge. Now that timing seems really
00:30:42.020 coincidental and it does seem, it feels as though, uh, there are real shenanigans to put it in the
00:30:51.540 nicest possible terms, uh, in Michigan to destroy the GOP and anybody that stands against Whitmer.
00:30:59.620 Um, let's go to Ryan Kelly. Now. Hello, Ryan. How are you? I'm doing good today, Glenn. Thanks for
00:31:06.580 having me join you here today. Uh, it's a beautiful day in West Michigan. You bet.
00:31:10.980 Um, tell me what happened yesterday. So yesterday I was, uh, I was arrested by the FBI and the timing,
00:31:22.560 as you mentioned, is not a coincidence, right? This coincides with the J six hearings that they had
00:31:28.540 yesterday, along with, if you saw the article with Joe Biden talking about, he will put his political
00:31:34.740 opponents in jail and then this happened. So it's not a coincidence at all. They're weaponizing
00:31:40.800 the FBI against me. They're continuing this wild goose chase. And Glenn, you know, just like I do,
00:31:47.220 they're not just after me. They're after all of us that love this country, that love our constitution,
00:31:51.600 that, uh, that want to keep the Republic intact here. They're coming for all of us.
00:31:59.280 Okay. So let me ask you some tough questions. Cause I've seen the videotape, um, and you are,
00:32:06.520 you are standing, um, in front of a crowd, um, around some scaffolding and you appear to be
00:32:15.080 directing people into the, uh, Capitol. Um, and it is, I'd like to hear your version of this. Um,
00:32:24.400 it also says that you were among the members of the crowd that filed into the Capitol and banged on
00:32:32.500 the door of the legislative chamber chanting, let us in lock her up. Can you help me understand
00:32:38.480 those two things? So to clarify, I never entered the building. We'll start there with that. Number
00:32:45.680 two, you know, there's a lot of things that I want to talk about on this. There's a lot of different
00:32:50.560 components of the story that we want to share, but we have to wait till we go through the courts in
00:32:55.360 order to bring the pieces of this story together. So, you know, uh, can't make too many comments on that
00:33:01.100 right now, other than, you know, I never entered the building and, you know, there's going to be
00:33:06.020 court hearings coming up soon and we'll be able to share more information in regard to the full story
00:33:10.480 that. Sure. Well, I, I will tell you if you've never entered the building that, I mean, there's
00:33:16.040 half the case. Um, the, the second is, um, Ray Epps we have on tape doing far worse. And they say
00:33:25.640 Ray Epps is not even, not even a player of no concern whatsoever. So how could you be of concern?
00:33:34.200 Equal protection under the law, right? There's, you know, constitutional clauses in regard to that.
00:33:39.600 Look, this was an attempt to intimidate me, to intimidate my family, my wife and my six kids,
00:33:45.060 and to intimidate all of my supporters. And I'll tell you what, Glenn, the support base has grown,
00:33:50.860 uh, a thousand fold overnight, if not more. And, and we will not be intimidated by this.
00:33:57.660 We are going to continue to move forward to win this primary and win this general election.
00:34:02.480 You know, this is the Democrats, again, trying to cover up their own disastrous policies. The
00:34:07.360 American people are struggling with inflation, record high gas prices, record high food prices.
00:34:12.960 We have a baby formula shortage right now. We have rising violent crime, the borders a mess,
00:34:18.380 and this is the kind of stuff that the Democrats are focused on. They're not focused on helping the
00:34:22.920 American people. They're focused on these baseless claims of January 6th. And, and the dishonest media
00:34:29.540 continues to perpetuate all of this nonsense and be on their side. But you know what, Glenn,
00:34:35.040 the American people see right through all of this nonsense and they want somebody that's going to
00:34:39.260 stand up for our Republic. And so that support has grown substantially across the entire state.
00:34:44.560 I had a huge group of people from all over the state meet me outside yesterday after I walked
00:34:49.980 out of the courthouse. It was incredible.
00:34:55.220 Um, I, I just, I can't, I just can't, I mean, the timing is just so obvious and there's something
00:35:01.860 else and I don't know much about it. Um, but you had five, uh, different candidates from the GOP
00:35:10.200 that had been disqualified because of forged signatures on the petition. What do you know
00:35:16.780 about that? There was 10 candidates that we had in the race and those petitions, signatures
00:35:23.700 disqualified them. It's another, it's another sad day in Michigan because during the 2020 election,
00:35:31.120 our secretary of state, Jocelyn Benson directed the County clerks to not validate the signatures.
00:35:37.640 Don't worry about looking at the signatures, but when it comes to all these petitions,
00:35:42.020 they want to scrutinize every single signature because it's a GOP, uh, uh, primary. And so,
00:35:49.060 you know, again, uh, the dishonest secretary of state, you know, she's politically biased,
00:35:54.140 uh, fraudulent signatures should be investigated by the attorney general. Dana Nessel is choosing to
00:36:00.400 do nothing again, go figure. And, you know, it disqualified those five candidates,
00:36:06.540 you know, Glenn, I'm the front runner in this race. Now the polls are showing Ryan Kelly's the
00:36:11.240 front runner and, and my, my political opponents, they don't like that. So they're coming after me
00:36:16.900 because they have zero grounds to stand on an actual value that they're adding to the American
00:36:21.460 people and the people here of Michigan. So what is the message that we should be hearing,
00:36:30.420 um, from the people of Michigan? Um, what is, are they, they seem to be kind of okay with what
00:36:40.000 Whitmer did. Um, you know, at least the left, what, what Whitmer did, um, during COVID. I don't think
00:36:47.580 you guys have passed any laws to make sure that doesn't happen again. What, where is it just the,
00:36:53.580 the, the energy and the food prices that is really hitting people or what are people actually
00:37:00.360 feeling and responding to?
00:37:05.760 Energy prices are hitting us all. We've set down a nuclear power plant here in the state of Michigan,
00:37:11.440 which now we're looking at having rolling blackouts throughout the summer. And the COO of DTE
00:37:18.320 energy is telling people just to turn their thermostats up and shut their electricity down
00:37:23.520 for their ACs and they won't have the rolling blackouts. So it's not just the gasoline prices,
00:37:29.660 which are now over $5 a gallon, the food prices, which continue to rise. We have energy issues.
00:37:36.780 Whitmer's talking about wanting to shut down line five, which moves petroleum and other natural
00:37:42.320 resources around our state. Uh, you know, the, the continued corporate welfare handouts,
00:37:48.680 we just handed out $101 million to Ford in cash plus $35 million in property tax
00:37:55.240 credits in order to bring jobs to the state. And they just did 700 million to GM not too long ago.
00:38:02.580 So they're, they're not becoming business friendly. They're just handing out big gobs of money everywhere.
00:38:08.000 And she's hoping that this is going to be enough to buy the election, uh, and think that people
00:38:13.200 will forget how she responded throughout 2020. Glenn, we're not going to forget the people of
00:38:18.040 Michigan have had enough. How, how did she justify shutting down the nuclear power plant? How was that
00:38:25.300 justified? And how is she trying to justify shutting down line five? Cause that's a very important,
00:38:31.600 uh, uh, uh, pipeline. I have no idea where the justification is. She's one of the most
00:38:39.720 unreasonable people that there is. Look, I'm a reasonable guy, Glenn. I understand that families
00:38:45.100 want, they, they want to have affordable food. They want to have affordable resources such as gasoline,
00:38:52.960 heat to, uh, um, gas to heat their homes. They want to have, uh, the ability to, to move around the
00:39:00.380 state without threats of business shutdowns. They want to make sure that their electricity is going
00:39:04.800 to be on. They want to have a, a place where they're going to have good employment. That's free
00:39:09.120 of, you know, racial bias training and these other components that are really plaguing our state and
00:39:15.380 pushing people away. Um, you know, she's such an unreasonable lady all around that the means and
00:39:22.280 extremes with her, uh, have really shown. And I think that the people of Michigan, you know,
00:39:27.580 just like with everything with the arrest yesterday and the J six stuff, people are seeing through
00:39:33.060 that. People see through Whitmer as well. We're ready for a change here in Michigan.
00:39:38.980 It's amazing to me that Detroit was one of the main cities that, um, escaped slaves. And then later
00:39:46.180 after the civil war, um, former slaves moved up to, uh, because they were safe there and was a
00:39:53.920 very homogenized city. There weren't a lot of real problems, um, until the right around the time that
00:40:02.080 the Democrats took one of the greatest cities in America, Detroit, and took control about 1950,
00:40:09.600 something 1960. And now all of a sudden, all these race problems, such poverty, it's, it's a disaster
00:40:17.340 up there, just a disaster. And it's sad to watch. And that's happening nationwide right now. Look at
00:40:25.560 the policies that Biden's in acting. Look at the things that we see happening, uh, around our country.
00:40:31.380 What you're speaking about that happened in Detroit is happening to America. Democrat policies are
00:40:37.720 disastrous in every way you can think of. And, you know, they're, they're trying to grasp for straws,
00:40:44.280 for political power. Um, you know, look at, uh, they, they champion on, uh, their, their little
00:40:50.460 left-wing groups going out and threatening the Supreme court justices, burning down of our cities,
00:40:55.520 uh, the Antifa, the BLM, uh, there by their very nature, the, the, the Democrats and the left-wing,
00:41:02.900 um, political spectrum, uh, is, is nothing but, but society falling apart. Uh, look at the
00:41:11.680 transgenderism that they're wanting to push on our children. We want to take healthy children and
00:41:16.120 give them hormone, hormone blocking medications. Uh, normal, reasonable people don't want this,
00:41:22.880 Glenn. We, we don't want these, these radical left-wing extreme ideologies being pushed on our
00:41:29.600 children, destroying their lives. The critical race theory pushed in our schools. Look, I'm just,
00:41:34.820 I'm a dad. I'm a husband. Uh, I got six children. Um, I'm just a regular American. I'm a reasonable
00:41:41.860 guy that wants our country back, which is why I'm running for governor. And, and we're going to make
00:41:47.460 that happen here in Michigan. And just like when Detroit was a leader around the nation, before
00:41:53.060 the Democrats took over, we can make Michigan be that leader to bring that idea of our Republic,
00:41:59.760 our constitution, freedom, prosperity back to our great country. That's what people want. That's
00:42:05.500 what I bring to the table. Ryan D Kelly.com is the web address where you can find out. And, uh,
00:42:15.080 and if you'd like to support Ryan D Kelly.com, I look forward to the explanations, uh, and your,
00:42:22.900 your day in court. I will tell you, I think it's, I think it's hysterical that in the,
00:42:29.760 in the state of Detroit, they thought arresting you yesterday and hauling you away in handcuffs
00:42:38.100 would work, uh, to discredit. I mean, I think that actually makes politicians poll numbers go up
00:42:45.900 usually in places like Detroit, uh, Ryan, thank you. Thank you so much. God bless you.
