00:00:33.600 Maybe we should anchor ourself in truth first.

00:00:36.300 Coming up in just a second.

00:00:37.400 First, let me tell you about Jace Medical.

00:00:39.020 The world is crazy.

00:00:41.340 I mean, I think we know that.

00:00:43.880 I want to talk to you about the holidays and having some peace of mind.

00:00:47.960 When it comes to emergency medicines, you're going to travel and, you know, everybody's going to be sitting and talking about Uncle Phil's, I don't know, you know, gastric problems and everything else.

00:01:00.000 And you'll hear all the old people. 1.00

00:01:02.020 Oh, my gosh, I can't sleep.

00:01:04.200 And then somebody's going to get sick.

00:01:06.280 And you don't want to be around a whole bunch of sick people after having dinner with everybody talking about how bad my gas is.

00:01:12.340 Here's the thing.

00:01:13.460 Get a Jace case, a personalized emergency kit that contains essential antibiotics and medications that treat most common and deadly bacterial infections.

00:01:51.720 We got to stand together.

00:02:20.820 Welcome to the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

00:02:38.220 This is the Glenn Beck Program.

00:02:41.580 Well, hello, America, and welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.

00:02:44.480 We've got a lot on our plate today.

00:02:46.240 I cannot take the health care shooter anymore, the coverage of it.

00:02:51.540 We have a lot to discuss.

00:02:54.680 But I want to start with truth today.

00:02:57.780 Eternal truth.

00:02:58.960 We do that in 60 seconds.

00:03:00.500 First, let me tell you about Car Shield.

00:03:02.540 Every day, you're out on the road in your car caring for yourself and those you love.

00:03:07.520 You're taking them back and forth all over the place.

00:03:10.040 The horse knows the way to the school plays and everything else, and that's what you'll

00:03:16.400 be taking if your car breaks down on you.

00:03:18.880 If your car breaks down, the worst time is at Christmas.

00:03:22.740 I mean, it's never a good time.

00:03:24.680 I don't think Buffett ever has his, I don't know, his car break down.

00:03:29.760 He says, you know what?

00:03:30.700 Now is the perfect time for my car to break down.

00:03:33.440 I've got plenty of money.

00:03:35.620 I hate it when your car has to go into the shop.

00:03:39.000 Maybe it's just me.

00:03:39.800 I doubt it.

00:03:40.820 Car Shield will make it a little more pleasant because they help Americans just like you

00:03:45.260 protect their out-of-warranty vehicles.

00:03:47.900 With coverage on up to 5,000 parts and systems, Car Shields could save you hundreds, even thousands

00:03:54.180 of dollars in repair.

00:03:55.280 Not to mention, you'll have access to the 24-7 roadside assistance and help with flats,

00:04:00.120 lockouts, and rental car options.

00:04:19.140 View contracts and exclusions at carshield.com.

00:04:22.840 So we're just a few days away from Christmas, and it just feels weird.

00:04:35.080 I don't know.

00:04:35.940 Maybe it's because I'm into my Christmas shopping or whatever.

00:04:40.600 But I'm lacking just a little bit of the Christmas spirit.

00:04:45.100 And I want to start today by fixing our gaze upon that cradle in Bethlehem, where the greatest

00:04:53.000 gift ever given entered the world.

00:04:57.280 The humblest of surroundings, beneath the watchful eyes of shepherds in the celestial light of heaven's

00:05:05.020 star, a simple child was born.

00:05:08.260 Definitely not a child of earthly power, no wealth, but purpose.

00:05:17.980 And through him, the chains of mankind's bondage were destined to be broken.

00:05:27.260 When he was born, in a nutshell, what the angel said was liberty.

00:05:36.880 Liberty, redemption, hope.

00:05:43.360 It's what our founders understood.

00:05:47.280 Each of us endowed with certain inalienable rights, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness.

00:05:55.700 Our creator gave these to us.

00:05:58.800 Each of us was endowed with free will, the power to choose, to chart our own course, to

00:06:05.740 stumble, to rise, to dust ourself off, and press on.

00:06:14.160 This is the difference between people.

00:06:19.860 People that just want to guarantee, which there is none in life.

00:06:23.900 For people who understand that free will, to be free, to live free, that gift is precious

00:06:35.500 and perilous.

00:06:37.080 It's always on the edge.

00:06:39.840 But it is the foundation of our humanity and the cornerstone of a truly free society.

00:06:46.700 Without that simple liberty to make mistakes, we can't learn.

00:06:54.840 Without the liberty to fail, we don't grow.

00:07:00.800 And without the liberty to choose between good and evil, the triumph of virtue over vice means

00:07:08.760 absolutely nothing.

00:07:15.980 We miss this message.

00:07:18.760 Or maybe we save this message for Christmas Eve.

00:07:22.440 It's more appropriate on Christmas Eve.

00:07:25.180 We should be talking about this all year long.

00:07:28.040 In fact, in many ways, it's what we've been fighting for.

00:07:33.080 For the message of Christmas, it's not just joy and celebration.

00:07:44.280 But the message of Christmas is profound liberation.

00:07:49.500 It is the birth of Christ, is the birth of freedom itself.

00:07:53.820 And not the kind of freedom that is wrought by, you know, a sword in an army or enshrined in

00:08:01.940 our capital in the writings on parchment.

00:08:05.320 But a freedom given to us, each of us at birth, born in our soul.

00:08:14.020 It's the toughest kind of freedom.

00:08:15.840 Because it belongs 100% to us and what we do.

00:08:22.400 We can blame other freedom on, well, the politicians in Washington.

00:08:26.000 There's no blame except for us.

00:08:29.060 And it is the freedom to forgive others.

00:08:33.700 And more difficult, I think, to forgive ourselves.

00:08:38.400 It's the freedom to lay down the weight of guilt.

00:08:45.840 I'm a recovering alcoholic, and for a reason.

00:08:50.520 There are times in your life where you just are wrought with guilt.

00:08:55.100 You just can't move because in your head you're playing these tapes over and over again,

00:09:00.300 and they're all lies.

00:09:03.500 That's what Christmas is.

00:09:05.340 The freedom to lay down that guilt.

00:09:08.220 To heal wounds, old and new.

00:09:10.920 To grasp the hand of grace that lifts us up out of the muck and the mire.

00:09:20.800 This freedom is the most precious.

00:09:25.140 And like all freedom, it is neither easy nor secure.

00:09:30.100 Today, if you would watch the news,

00:09:38.140 you would find that we are living in times filled with war and rumors of war.

00:09:46.480 And yet, we believe, most of us, that we are at peace.

00:09:53.080 For as Longfellow may have said,

00:09:57.140 the cannons of war are silent on our shores.

00:10:01.760 But we are a world at war.

00:10:05.660 We're a nation at war, a people at war.

00:10:09.820 We've said this for a while now.

00:10:11.960 More people in the world are waking up to this every day.

00:10:15.540 We are in a spiritual war.

00:10:17.460 It's invisible.

00:10:19.480 It doesn't have aircraft carriers.

00:10:22.200 But it is insidious.

00:10:26.160 And you don't win with armies.

00:10:28.360 You don't win at the ballot box.

00:10:31.740 It's won within the hearts and minds of every single individual.

00:10:36.540 It's so today.

00:10:42.500 What happened 2,000 years ago is so important today.

00:10:46.140 Because we're fighting a war for truth in a world drowning in lies.

00:10:53.100 A war for courage in a time where men's hearts have failed them, riddled with fear.

00:10:59.880 A war for faith when we are surrounded by doubt.

00:11:08.580 And it is truly the most perilous of all struggles.

00:11:13.700 Because it doesn't announce itself with the sound of drums or dramatic speeches or the sight of red banners.

00:11:24.460 Its battlefield isn't seen.

00:11:29.880 The stakes are eternal.

00:11:38.620 So as we prepare and we stand on the threshold of this sacred season.

00:11:48.960 Let's not take what we face too lightly.

00:11:54.400 This unseen enemy.

00:11:56.540 Let's not take what happened at the ballot box as, that was a reprieve.

00:12:02.860 That was God doing what we couldn't do.

00:12:06.420 Saying, okay, you can't fight that battle on your own.

00:12:09.900 I got it.

00:12:11.680 I will cover what you can't do.

00:12:15.780 I'll save him and have him stand back up again.

00:12:22.360 I'll protect at the ballot box.

00:12:24.380 But you got to get out and do it.

00:12:25.920 Now, God says, okay, now what are you going to do with it?

00:12:30.200 Because I've done what you can't do.

00:12:33.480 That's the deal with free will.

00:12:36.360 It's a partnership.

00:12:37.700 He'll forgive us.

00:12:38.880 But we got to do the work.

00:12:40.120 We have to take up the shield of faith and the sword of truth and the helmet of salvation.

00:12:50.580 Which was given to us by that little teeny baby in a manger.

00:12:54.900 And then that baby growing into a man to see what he did.

00:13:04.540 So we can draw strength from his example.

00:13:11.860 Boy, that's a hard example to follow.

00:13:15.700 Because he didn't come to condemn.

00:13:17.580 He came to save.

00:13:21.040 He didn't rule.

00:13:24.360 He came to serve.

00:13:26.640 He didn't come to divide.

00:13:29.040 He came to unite under truth.

00:13:37.920 I've said this before.

00:13:39.020 I wonder how many of us actually took time to give thanks at Thanksgiving.

00:13:42.620 For the miracles we've seen.

00:13:44.300 We've seen miracles.

00:13:45.540 If you miss them, I don't know how.

00:13:48.860 But we've seen miracles.

00:13:57.000 And in the season of eternal truth and light,

00:14:00.160 it's fitting that we give thanks.

00:14:02.380 Not only for the blessings that we hold dear,

00:14:05.300 but also for the trials that refine us.

00:14:09.580 I'm a better man because of the trials of the last 20 years.

00:14:13.640 I don't know who I would have been.

00:14:15.540 If my back hadn't been against the wall for the last 20 years.

00:14:18.980 I don't know who you'd be.

00:14:21.720 That comes from freedom of will, of choice.

00:14:26.920 We've all made a choice which side we stand on.

00:14:29.800 Did we stand up when it was tough or did we cower?

00:14:35.240 And if we cowered, are we going to forgive ourselves so we'll stand up now?

00:14:42.580 Give thanks for the trials.

00:14:44.400 Give thanks for the liberty that we possess.

00:14:46.660 For it's only in freedom that we can fully embrace the gift of redemption.

00:14:55.540 And that is the principal gift.

00:14:58.200 It's not just the courage.

00:15:01.640 It's not just the freedom.

00:15:03.100 He knows we're going to make mistakes.

00:15:07.200 Let us give thanks for the right to choose,

00:15:09.880 even when our choices lead us in very dark places.

00:15:14.120 Because every single misstep brings us closer to the God

00:15:17.680 who never ceases to call us back.

00:15:20.960 Son, daughter, I'm here.

00:15:26.280 Just come back.

00:15:30.260 This year, let's give thanks for the courage to stand.

00:15:37.120 Not only for ourselves, but for those who can't stand alone.

00:15:41.420 The story of Christmas is one of hope.

00:15:51.260 And I want to pick it up there in 60 seconds.

00:15:54.500 Your dog doesn't know the difference between healthy and unhealthy food,

00:15:57.980 but his body does.

00:15:59.160 And when you're feeding him dry kibble food, for instance,

00:16:01.860 it's telling him everything he's eating is dead.

00:16:05.060 That's why he goes out and, I don't know, 0.97

00:16:06.820 I don't know why they eat the wrong crap, but sometimes they do. 0.98

00:16:09.260 And that's a sign. 0.98

00:16:10.580 He's not getting something he's supposed to be getting.

00:16:13.760 You need something that brings his food back to life.

00:16:17.140 And that something is Rough Greens.

00:16:18.940 It's a supplement created by naturopathic Dr. Dennis Black

00:17:00.360 10 seconds.

00:17:01.000 Station ID.

00:17:01.520 So the story of Christmas is, above all, a story of hope.

00:17:20.240 A story that transcends the bounds of time, place, and circumstance.

00:17:24.700 It's the hope that in the darkest of your night, a star will shine.

00:17:33.460 It's the hope that in the humblest of stables, a king will be born.

00:17:39.100 It is the hope that in the brokenness of our humanity, redemption is there to triumph.

00:17:50.520 I want you to close your eyes for a minute.

00:17:52.120 Unless you're driving, that would be bad.

00:17:54.120 Keep your eyes open if you're driving.

00:17:55.360 If you're not driving, close your eyes just for a second.

00:17:58.080 Consider the scene of that first Christmas.

00:18:00.360 The world was troubled.

00:18:04.080 People were weary.

00:18:05.800 Especially the Holy Family.

00:18:07.960 The future was absolutely uncertain.

00:18:11.620 Yet in the stillness of that night, heaven touched earth.

00:18:18.000 And the light of the world entered in darkness.

00:18:23.840 And so it is with us.

00:18:26.340 No matter how beaten down we are, no matter how grave our hour or how heavy the burden,

00:18:35.420 the light of truth still shines.

00:18:38.680 They tried to snuff it out, as darkness always does, but it cannot.

00:18:45.480 And that light of truth calls us to rise above all of our trials,

00:18:49.980 to grasp the freedom that that little baby secured for us,

00:18:54.660 and to walk boldly in the path of all that is good, all that is true, all that is right.

00:19:05.960 Let's commit over the next few weeks that in the next year, we're going to hold fast to the truth.

00:19:11.580 No matter if it's good for our side or bad for our side.

00:19:13.980 We're just talking about the truth.

00:19:15.740 Hold to the truth.

00:19:16.980 Knowing that we're all flawed, but also knowing we're loved beyond measure.

00:19:25.400 That even though we fall, we're never alone and never forsaken.

00:19:32.360 And though all the battles of life may rage, the ultimate victory

00:19:36.520 has already been won.

00:19:40.040 May I humbly suggest that we commit to each other this year

00:19:51.100 to let the joy of Christmas not be just something that maybe we just barely feel right now,

00:19:59.380 but we'll feel more and more as we get closer to the holidays.

00:20:03.300 Let's try to make that an abiding strength.

00:20:15.820 Let the hope of that little baby inspire us.

00:20:20.920 Give us the courage to face the trials of our time,

00:20:24.280 because trials are still yet to come.

00:20:27.260 Let the freedom wrought by the birth of Christ embolden us

00:20:32.820 to live every day as people redeemed,

00:20:37.380 ever striving, ever learning, ever stumbling,

00:20:41.860 but grateful for that stumble because it means we're ever growing.

00:20:53.640 In the words of the angels on that holy night,

00:20:56.740 glory to God in the highest and on earth,

00:21:00.040 peace, goodwill toward men.

00:21:05.100 The greatest gift we can give ourselves and each other

00:21:08.660 is the gift that this peace,

00:21:12.980 this freedom,

00:21:15.000 this hope

00:21:16.140 be ours

00:21:18.500 now

00:21:19.600 and forevermore. 0.99

00:21:26.740 we're going to talk about a lot of crap today. 0.97

00:21:32.920 We're going to talk about 0.98

00:21:34.080 a lot of people that you're going to want to say,

00:21:38.420 I don't think I can forgive that person.

00:21:43.040 A lot of people that you're going to be sitting with in just a few weeks

00:21:47.220 at the Christmas table,

00:21:49.260 and they're going to say,

00:21:50.640 I don't know why you don't

00:21:52.320 see that shooting that UnitedHealthcare worker.

00:21:56.520 Why that's CEO.

00:21:57.980 Why that's not a heroic.

00:21:59.400 Have you seen the shooter's abs?

00:22:01.520 And you're going to go,

00:22:02.280 I can't take it anymore.

00:22:03.980 I can't take it.

00:22:04.720 But what I thought of

00:22:10.080 when I was

00:22:10.600 putting this

00:22:12.000 together for you today was,

00:22:14.280 man,

00:22:15.320 if God can put up with me,

00:22:20.520 how can I not

00:22:23.340 put up with,

00:22:25.760 I don't know,

00:22:27.940 name anybody on MSNBC.

00:22:30.940 Name anybody on The View.

00:22:32.480 We also have some good things

00:22:41.200 to share with you today.

00:22:42.600 I think it's actually all good.

00:22:44.920 It's all good.

00:22:46.120 I think we should recognize

00:22:47.780 that we wouldn't be in

00:22:49.760 the good position

00:22:51.560 that we're in right now

00:22:52.900 if what we all thought was bad

00:22:55.640 in 2020 didn't happen.

00:22:57.920 If Donald Trump

00:22:58.980 would have won in 2020,

00:23:01.200 God only knows what we'd be

00:23:02.400 facing and what we'd be

00:23:04.840 facing unknown

00:23:05.960 because they hadn't

00:23:06.980 revealed themselves yet.

00:23:10.040 There is nothing bad.

00:23:11.920 It's what we do with it

00:23:13.540 and how we react.

00:23:15.740 Do we say,

00:23:17.280 wow,

00:23:17.640 I've got another burden.

00:23:19.680 I've got to get myself up

00:23:21.200 off the ground

00:23:22.020 and carry on.

00:23:23.840 Or do I quit?

00:23:26.900 Glenn Beck.

00:23:28.120 When you're about to go in

00:23:30.400 for brain surgery,

00:23:31.700 you want a competent

00:23:33.020 brain surgeon.

00:23:34.240 You know,

00:23:34.580 not somebody who's just seen

00:23:36.060 all 800 episodes

00:23:37.200 of Grey's Anatomy.

00:23:38.500 Now,

00:23:39.020 it stands to reason

00:23:40.020 when you're doing something

00:23:41.140 as important as buying

00:23:42.380 and selling a house,

00:23:43.460 you also want a good

00:23:44.500 real estate agent.

00:23:45.440 Over a decade ago,

00:23:46.720 I formed a company

00:23:48.480 called Real Estate Agents

00:23:49.920 I Trust,

00:23:50.800 and it is there

00:23:52.100 because

00:23:53.120 I wanted

00:23:55.560 some way to know

00:23:57.260 who's a good

00:23:57.920 real estate agent,

00:23:58.720 who's a bad

00:23:59.360 real estate agent,

00:24:00.760 you know,

00:24:01.260 and Glinda the Good Witch

00:24:02.680 wasn't in a bubble

00:24:03.740 at the time,

00:24:04.520 and I didn't know

00:24:05.640 how to judge them.

00:24:07.240 I happened to be working

00:24:08.280 with the 500 best

00:24:09.340 real estate agents

00:24:10.260 at the time

00:24:10.860 doing some work for them.

00:24:12.800 This is according

00:24:13.260 to the Wall Street Journal.

00:24:14.400 They're the 500 best,

00:24:15.340 and I started getting

00:24:16.200 to know them

00:24:16.760 and talking to them,

00:24:17.540 and I realized,

00:24:18.480 oh, wow,

00:24:18.940 there is a reason

00:24:19.760 they're better than others.

00:24:20.760 So we look,

00:24:22.380 in my company,

00:24:23.240 realestateagentsitrust.com,

00:24:25.160 for the real estate agents

00:24:26.480 with the best practices,

00:24:27.720 somebody who understands

00:24:28.820 the housing market,

00:24:29.900 somebody who's a team leader,

00:24:31.320 a closer.

00:24:32.560 So if you're thinking

00:24:33.140 about buying or selling a home,

00:24:34.800 realestateagentsitrust.com.

00:24:36.880 We'll give you the names.

00:24:38.280 It's realestateagentsitrust.com.

00:24:42.200 Home for Christmas,

00:24:43.440 a new Christmas album

00:24:44.600 produced by Glenn Beck

00:24:45.460 featuring his daughter,

00:24:46.540 Cheyenne Grace.

00:24:47.640 It's available now

00:24:48.720 wherever you stream your music

00:24:49.760 and at glennbeckchristmas.com.

00:24:51.560 Now,

00:25:11.560 I'm going to do my best

00:25:14.320 to not take all of the nice stuff

00:25:17.620 that I just said

00:25:18.340 in the last half hour

00:25:19.200 and flush it down the toilet

00:25:20.980 because I'm a little irritated.

00:25:26.960 I'm a little irritated

00:25:28.740 at the love we are showing

00:25:31.640 for this killer,

00:25:34.040 the UnitedHealthcare killer.

00:25:37.360 First of all,

00:25:38.520 CNN,

00:25:39.300 and I am not making this up.

00:25:41.920 One of the anchors on CNN said,

00:25:44.400 do we have it?

00:25:46.400 Oh, play this.

00:25:47.220 Play this.

00:25:47.700 Watch this if you happen

00:25:49.140 to be watching

00:25:49.680 and I'll describe it after.

00:25:51.380 Go ahead.

00:25:51.460 The clips we were watching

00:25:52.500 at the top of this segment

00:25:53.300 are driven by the fact

00:25:54.200 that this is an attractive person.

00:25:56.200 We've got to drop the banner

00:25:57.280 to show why.

00:25:58.140 And it is deeply troubling.

00:26:00.540 Okay.

00:26:00.920 And they actually do it.

00:26:01.880 They actually do it.

00:26:03.080 This banner at the bottom

00:26:04.760 of the screen

00:26:05.320 that's on all the time,

00:26:06.840 they're saying

00:26:09.040 that this guy

00:26:09.860 is getting,

00:26:10.880 Charlie Manson

00:26:13.480 could have been,

00:26:15.400 you know,

00:26:16.480 I don't know,

00:26:17.620 the guy who's,

00:26:18.340 I believe it's butter.

00:26:19.580 And nobody would have said,

00:26:21.440 yeah, I know,

00:26:22.120 but look at him.

00:26:23.300 Fabio?

00:26:25.040 Boy, have you seen him?

00:26:26.320 He's let himself go.

00:26:27.480 Has he really?

00:26:28.840 Anyway,

00:26:29.800 I'm one to talk.

00:26:33.080 But we never say that.

00:26:35.560 I don't care

00:26:36.480 how good looking you are.

00:26:38.280 I don't think

00:26:39.160 we never say it.

00:26:40.520 Like, for example,

00:26:41.220 I saw the,

00:26:42.240 did you see this? 0.68

00:26:43.160 It was a Mexican assassin, 0.96

00:26:45.180 a drug cartel assassin. 0.78

00:26:47.100 Did you see her

00:26:47.700 the other day?

00:26:48.800 No, I didn't.

00:26:49.720 Sarah saw it.

00:26:51.600 She was attractive 0.99

00:26:52.640 and that was the only thing

00:26:53.960 people were talking about.

00:26:55.120 So that does happen.

00:26:56.020 I think it does happen

00:26:57.600 from time to time.

00:26:59.600 That being said,

00:27:00.500 it's not supposed

00:27:01.680 to happen on CNN.

00:27:03.280 Right.

00:27:03.380 And wait,

00:27:04.420 are people saying,

00:27:06.100 you know what?

00:27:07.420 Maybe her, 0.98

00:27:08.220 maybe her hits were okay.

00:27:09.920 No, no.

00:27:10.640 But I will say,

00:27:12.000 looking at the picture,

00:27:13.440 I totally assume

00:27:15.340 there will be a movie

00:27:16.240 made about her

00:27:17.320 in the future.

00:27:18.760 All right, yeah.

00:27:19.480 But that will seem

00:27:20.400 to maybe glorify

00:27:21.340 the stuff she did,

00:27:22.300 which was terrible.

00:27:23.060 We are glorifying

00:27:24.340 what this guy,

00:27:25.200 listen to this one,

00:27:26.440 listen to this one.

00:27:27.500 I'm not going to give

00:27:28.380 his name.

00:27:29.520 Thank you.

00:27:29.920 Thank you for that.

00:27:31.120 Thank you for that.

00:27:31.840 You're the only person

00:27:32.920 I've seen do that.

00:27:33.980 Everybody else is

00:27:35.140 blurting this name out

00:27:36.400 a hundred million times.

00:27:36.960 This guy is being made into a hero.

00:27:37.640 I mean,

00:27:38.460 it's worse than the typical

00:27:39.760 mass shooter,

00:27:40.700 where typically the media,

00:27:42.420 while they have all their gun points,

00:27:44.080 aren't trying to make them

00:27:44.900 into a hero.

00:27:45.700 This guy,

00:27:46.240 they're trying to make him

00:27:47.100 into a hero,

00:27:48.200 giving his name

00:27:48.900 over and over again,

00:27:50.460 I don't think

00:27:51.000 it's a good idea.

00:27:51.720 Wait a minute.

00:27:52.080 I haven't even heard anyone

00:27:53.340 say anything about

00:27:54.300 pulling guns off the streets,

00:27:55.520 either.

00:27:56.900 Have you heard?

00:27:57.620 No, especially,

00:27:58.460 and it was a ghost gun.

00:27:59.740 This is like Joe Biden's

00:28:00.940 favorite topic.

00:28:02.520 You know why?

00:28:03.200 I guess all you have to be

00:28:04.280 is good looking.

00:28:05.600 And on the left.

00:28:06.680 On the left.

00:28:07.120 Are you an anti-capitalist?

00:28:08.660 Then, eh, fine.

00:28:09.620 Good job with a 3D printer.

00:28:11.000 So this guy,

00:28:12.160 this guy went,

00:28:13.400 he killed somebody

00:28:14.200 in cold blood,

00:28:15.320 and everyone

00:28:16.600 is excusing him.

00:28:18.560 Everyone on the left

00:28:19.480 and everybody in the media

00:28:20.540 excusing him.

00:28:22.900 Well, look at his abs.

00:28:24.340 I mean, really?

00:28:25.740 What does that have to,

00:28:26.820 you know what?

00:28:27.480 You know what that ties into?

00:28:28.500 His back problems.

00:28:31.280 Don't even begin

00:28:33.320 to talk to me

00:28:34.280 about back problems, 0.96

00:28:35.860 you wuss. 1.00

00:28:37.280 My gosh, 0.97

00:28:38.420 I've got back problems.

00:28:39.780 You're 20

00:28:40.340 and you have those abs?

00:28:42.060 They ain't that bad, dude.

00:28:43.700 If you can do

00:28:44.280 that many sit-ups,

00:28:45.500 I'm sorry,

00:28:46.200 your back problems

00:28:46.880 can't be that bad. 1.00

00:28:47.680 Shut up. 1.00

00:28:48.480 Shut up. 1.00

00:28:49.420 And if you are 1.00

00:28:50.280 in your 20s

00:28:51.220 and you had

00:28:52.820 back surgery, 1.00

00:28:54.820 you're a moron 1.00

00:28:56.640 unless you absolutely 1.00

00:28:58.520 had no other choice,

00:29:00.260 but then you're still 1.00

00:29:01.700 a moron 1.00

00:29:02.560 if you thought 1.00

00:29:03.700 it was going to work.

00:29:06.060 Back surgery

00:29:06.740 hardly ever worked.

00:29:08.620 How many people,

00:29:09.460 honestly,

00:29:10.000 how many people

00:29:10.820 do you know

00:29:11.640 that had back surgery

00:29:13.300 and they went,

00:29:14.780 you know,

00:29:15.420 I mean,

00:29:16.380 I feel like I'm 20 again.

00:29:19.000 I don't know anybody

00:29:20.260 that says that.

00:29:21.240 I know back doctors,

00:29:23.680 surgeons,

00:29:24.120 who are like,

00:29:25.220 don't come to me yet.

00:29:26.960 Don't come.

00:29:27.520 Until you,

00:29:28.400 this is a quote

00:29:28.960 from my surgeon,

00:29:30.020 until you beg me 1.00

00:29:32.360 to cut you open. 1.00

00:29:33.640 And I have begged him 0.99

00:29:35.160 and he's like,

00:29:35.680 not quite yet.

00:29:37.900 I mean,

00:29:39.040 how do you,

00:29:39.660 oh,

00:29:40.320 your back hurts.

00:29:41.260 Oh, boo-boos. 0.98

00:29:42.460 I think he had,

00:29:43.300 there was at least rumors

00:29:44.440 or indications

00:29:46.500 from his online writings

00:29:47.520 that he had spinal fusion surgery.

00:29:49.540 Fine.

00:29:50.060 Well,

00:29:50.560 lots of people.

00:29:51.600 Serious.

00:29:51.940 Yeah,

00:29:52.200 but lots of people

00:29:53.420 have had it.

00:29:54.260 No,

00:29:54.500 that doesn't justify murder.

00:29:56.580 But I mean,

00:29:57.260 I really don't understand

00:29:58.380 if you had spinal fusion.

00:29:59.540 How self-absorbed are you?

00:30:01.040 We were just talking

00:30:01.940 off the air.

00:30:02.900 Went to a Christmas party.

00:30:03.980 We went to the,

00:30:04.620 the studio's Christmas party.

00:30:07.280 Yeah.

00:30:07.740 And I was there for what?

00:30:09.520 Way longer than I thought.

00:30:10.740 Like three or four hours,

00:30:11.960 okay?

00:30:12.320 Standing on hard,

00:30:13.300 concrete floors.

00:30:15.220 I,

00:30:15.580 I stand about 45 minutes

00:30:17.800 and I,

00:30:18.820 that,

00:30:19.300 that is like,

00:30:20.100 that's a miracle

00:30:21.080 if I'm standing 45 minutes

00:30:22.620 and not in an agonizing pain

00:30:24.900 in my lower back and legs.

00:30:27.860 I stood there for four hours.

00:30:29.540 Did you know I was in pain, Sarah?

00:30:31.300 Did you know why I was in pain still?

00:30:33.480 No.

00:30:33.860 Okay.

00:30:34.660 You know why?

00:30:35.680 Because I know Pat

00:30:37.260 who's in worse pain than I am

00:30:40.300 and he never says anything. 0.91

00:30:42.920 What the heck? 0.99

00:30:43.740 You are so self-absorbed 1.00

00:30:46.400 that you think

00:30:47.600 your problems,

00:30:49.740 what happened to me,

00:30:51.600 what they did to me,

00:30:52.860 what they didn't do for me.

00:30:54.920 I'm going to speak for humanity 1.00

00:30:57.120 and shoot a dad 1.00

00:30:58.940 who has kids. 1.00

00:31:00.420 Are you?

00:31:01.520 And then you glorify this guy.

00:31:04.320 This is the absence

00:31:06.040 of all truth.

00:31:08.120 This is the deception

00:31:09.820 I talked about 15 minutes ago.

00:31:12.240 Yeah.

00:31:12.880 And you know,

00:31:13.340 it feels like it's a new moment

00:31:16.020 in a way,

00:31:16.620 like it feels like that,

00:31:17.720 but what exactly separates this

00:31:20.720 from the way we handled George Floyd?

00:31:23.980 What exactly,

00:31:24.660 like when you're burning down cities

00:31:26.840 and everyone's saying,

00:31:27.700 well, yeah,

00:31:28.880 but they,

00:31:29.420 but racism,

00:31:31.220 this is the exact same thing

00:31:33.280 with the exception of

00:31:35.020 81% of the American public

00:31:37.520 don't approve of racism

00:31:38.820 like they do their own health care.

00:31:40.860 Health care is actually

00:31:43.280 generally pretty well received

00:31:45.340 in this country.

00:31:46.340 Well,

00:31:46.820 better received

00:31:47.560 before Obamacare.

00:31:49.360 Yeah,

00:31:49.780 Obamacare is the worst

00:31:51.640 approval rating

00:31:52.440 of all of the insurance.

00:31:53.740 Yeah, right.

00:31:54.120 That is true.

00:31:55.000 But generally speaking,

00:31:56.180 we don't hate our health care

00:31:57.860 as much as everyone's

00:31:59.120 portraying it right now.

00:32:00.500 But like,

00:32:01.460 you want to hate health care,

00:32:02.740 go to Canada.

00:32:03.940 Right.

00:32:04.120 Can I change it?

00:32:06.520 You know what this is?

00:32:08.480 What was the doctor,

00:32:09.640 what was the guy

00:32:10.740 who shot the abortion doctor

00:32:12.920 that Bill O'Reilly

00:32:13.860 was blamed for?

00:32:14.520 Yes.

00:32:14.980 I don't know his name,

00:32:16.280 thankfully, 0.97

00:32:16.920 because he's a murderer. 0.99

00:32:18.540 Right. 0.97

00:32:19.000 And I don't,

00:32:19.380 what was the doctor's name?

00:32:20.680 It was Tiller,

00:32:21.420 George Tiller.

00:32:22.200 Yes, yes.

00:32:23.220 And remember that?

00:32:24.560 All we talked about

00:32:25.980 was how Bill O'Reilly,

00:32:27.660 who did nothing,

00:32:29.940 was responsible

00:32:31.300 for the shooting

00:32:32.360 of a guy 0.94

00:32:33.460 who was killing babies 0.68

00:32:34.460 every day.

00:32:36.060 Okay?

00:32:36.740 Yeah.

00:32:36.920 And no one,

00:32:38.620 no one

00:32:39.920 was on TV saying,

00:32:41.540 you know,

00:32:43.080 he was killed.

00:32:44.440 Violence is never the answer,

00:32:46.580 but

00:32:47.000 let me give you my rant

00:32:49.600 on why abortion is bad.

00:32:51.560 And this is a good opportunity

00:32:53.040 for us to discuss the,

00:32:54.960 no, it's not.

00:32:56.280 No, a murder

00:32:57.000 is not a good opportunity.

00:32:58.200 It is important,

00:32:59.180 of course,

00:32:59.540 to discuss health care

00:33:00.480 and abortion. 0.95

00:33:01.620 It's got nothing to do,

00:33:02.680 there's no new justification

00:33:04.100 to discuss them

00:33:04.960 because there is a murder.

00:33:06.840 That you're totally right.

00:33:08.100 We should actually talk to him.

00:33:09.020 I would love to hear

00:33:09.600 what Bill O'Reilly

00:33:10.740 is talking about today.

00:33:11.560 Let's call him.

00:33:12.300 We should.

00:33:12.560 I'm going to call

00:33:13.060 if I have time today,

00:33:14.460 otherwise tomorrow.

00:33:15.340 Yeah.

00:33:15.640 But,

00:33:15.940 because he was blamed

00:33:18.280 for that murder.

00:33:20.020 Blamed for it.

00:33:20.800 He did not commit it.

00:33:22.220 You know what?

00:33:22.960 He was blamed for it.

00:33:23.380 I'm so mad about murder, 0.97

00:33:25.160 I'm going to go murder someone. 0.97

00:33:28.640 Huh? 0.97

00:33:29.480 And by the way, Glenn,

00:33:30.600 bits and pieces

00:33:32.080 of his manifesto

00:33:33.060 have leaked out.

00:33:34.260 They are

00:33:35.560 quote after quote

00:33:37.960 after quote

00:33:38.920 of what left-leaning people

00:33:40.840 say about our health care system.

00:33:42.160 No, no, Stu.

00:33:43.040 No, he was both

00:33:44.040 left and right.

00:33:45.300 Oh, yes.

00:33:45.820 I'm sure he,

00:33:46.540 well, he didn't like wokeness.

00:33:48.140 Okay.

00:33:48.480 Did he kill anybody over

00:33:49.420 wokeness?

00:33:50.460 I'm sorry.

00:33:50.920 Did I miss that part

00:33:51.900 of the story?

00:33:52.500 Was he too afraid

00:33:54.320 that UnitedHealthcare

00:33:55.400 was too woke?

00:33:56.380 Was that his criticism?

00:33:57.580 I miss that.

00:33:58.960 His criticism was

00:34:00.040 every left-wing criticism

00:34:01.760 of health care.

00:34:03.180 Anything you want to see

00:34:04.620 about,

00:34:05.020 well,

00:34:05.460 we spend this much

00:34:07.240 and we're only

00:34:08.300 in 42nd place

00:34:10.340 in life expected.

00:34:11.640 All that stuff

00:34:13.180 that you've been hearing

00:34:14.340 forever

00:34:15.140 from Michael Moore

00:34:17.160 documentaries

00:34:18.100 was this guy's manifesto.

00:34:20.220 And if we were

00:34:22.400 consistent at all,

00:34:23.640 all we'd be doing

00:34:24.700 is looking around

00:34:25.480 for left-wing people

00:34:26.720 to blame this murder on.

00:34:29.500 Now, I don't think

00:34:30.360 that's the right way

00:34:31.080 to approach things.

00:34:32.240 I think people

00:34:32.760 with the guns

00:34:33.440 should be the ones

00:34:34.160 that get the blame

00:34:34.900 for the murders.

00:34:35.640 That's what I think.

00:34:37.220 And I don't think

00:34:38.280 we should be praising

00:34:39.000 those murderers.

00:34:39.820 I'm very tempted.

00:34:41.300 If I were just

00:34:42.220 a political person

00:34:43.420 that just wanted

00:34:44.360 to have our side win,

00:34:45.580 I'd be very,

00:34:46.360 very tempted.

00:34:47.160 Yeah.

00:34:47.880 And I can understand

00:34:49.380 the temptation.

00:34:50.220 I feel like

00:34:51.120 it's not the right thing

00:34:51.900 to do because

00:34:52.400 it's not true.

00:34:53.500 Right.

00:34:54.020 Exactly right.

00:34:54.740 But beyond that,

00:34:55.560 I do, I get it.

00:34:57.060 And here is,

00:34:57.980 you know,

00:34:58.240 they went after,

00:34:59.080 they tried,

00:34:59.580 I mean,

00:34:59.780 they absolutely tried

00:35:00.780 to destroy Bill O'Reilly

00:35:01.800 over that.

00:35:02.520 They tried to destroy him.

00:35:03.480 They tried to rip him

00:35:04.020 off the air.

00:35:04.480 They tried to destroy

00:35:05.080 his life and his career

00:35:05.940 as if he was the one.

00:35:07.720 They've also,

00:35:08.520 here's another person

00:35:09.200 they've done this to, 0.93

00:35:10.100 Glenn freaking Beck.

00:35:12.460 Go back to the times 0.86

00:35:13.780 when I don't remember

00:35:15.520 the exact story,

00:35:16.400 but it was related

00:35:17.620 to the Tides Foundation,

00:35:18.920 a guy who went out

00:35:21.240 and tried to do

00:35:21.880 some terrible crime

00:35:23.080 and there was no evidence

00:35:24.760 he even watched your show,

00:35:26.220 but because you brought up

00:35:27.620 the Tides Foundation

00:35:28.740 a bunch of times

00:35:29.440 and he at one point

00:35:30.860 criticized the Tides Foundation,

00:35:32.200 they tried to ruin

00:35:33.060 your life over that.

00:35:34.600 See,

00:35:35.220 I had forgotten about that one.

00:35:36.780 I was singing about

00:35:37.420 the Gabby Gifford shooting.

00:35:39.320 Yes,

00:35:39.760 there you go again.

00:35:40.360 And then I remembered

00:35:41.620 the guy who hung himself,

00:35:43.900 the IRS agent,

00:35:45.340 who said,

00:35:46.340 who I was blamed

00:35:47.680 for wanting him

00:35:49.300 to be hung.

00:35:50.100 First, 0.91

00:35:50.640 it was,

00:35:51.560 Glenn Beck

00:35:51.880 had him strung up.

00:35:53.340 Then it was,

00:35:54.620 suicide.

00:35:55.840 Well,

00:35:56.140 Glenn Beck

00:35:56.700 made him want 0.99

00:35:57.400 to hang himself.

00:35:58.340 I mean, 1.00

00:35:58.840 this is so ridiculous. 0.99

00:36:00.940 So ridiculous. 0.99

00:36:01.820 I mean, 0.99

00:36:02.220 Glenn,

00:36:03.420 today,

00:36:05.120 Elizabeth Warren,

00:36:06.480 a U.S. senator,

00:36:08.640 came out and said,

00:36:10.000 violence is never the answer,

00:36:12.420 but you can only

00:36:13.900 push people so far.

00:36:16.940 A U.S. senator said that?

00:36:22.100 You know,

00:36:23.180 with everything

00:36:24.880 that's going on

00:36:25.840 with communism

00:36:27.240 and North Korea,

00:36:28.800 the only ones

00:36:33.080 that were eaten

00:36:33.900 were North Koreans

00:36:35.140 by Jeffrey Dahmer.

00:36:36.840 I mean,

00:36:37.100 yes,

00:36:37.420 he ate people,

00:36:38.560 but all the heads

00:36:39.680 in his refrigerator

00:36:40.680 were North Koreans.

00:36:42.160 So,

00:36:42.680 I kind of understand,

00:36:45.260 you know,

00:36:45.740 I don't condone

00:36:47.080 cannibalism,

00:36:49.340 but

00:36:49.700 you can see

00:36:50.880 why he had a deal

00:36:52.060 against North Koreans.

00:36:55.100 That's how insane 0.54

00:36:56.380 this argument is.

00:36:57.480 Yeah,

00:36:57.560 it's not a well-reasoned

00:36:59.220 argument,

00:36:59.740 as you point out.

00:37:02.040 And I don't care

00:37:03.180 how many sit-ups

00:37:03.920 the guy did.

00:37:04.960 I don't care

00:37:05.760 that he had nice abs

00:37:06.820 that you really enjoyed.

00:37:08.120 I don't care

00:37:08.660 that you thought

00:37:09.060 his smile was nice

00:37:09.980 in the video

00:37:11.420 that identified him.

00:37:13.560 You are a

00:37:14.680 legitimately 1.00

00:37:15.660 horrible human being 0.97

00:37:17.460 if you're cheering 1.00

00:37:18.060 this guy on.

00:37:19.120 You are 1.00

00:37:19.920 a terrible 1.00

00:37:21.440 human being.

00:37:22.880 You know,

00:37:25.300 I have a relative.

00:37:27.200 May I change that?

00:37:29.000 In the spirit of Christmas.

00:37:29.880 I wanted to say

00:37:30.720 five other things

00:37:31.560 that I'm kind of...

00:37:32.440 Yes.

00:37:34.240 You are so lost

00:37:35.780 in darkness.

00:37:36.640 Okay,

00:37:37.060 fine.

00:37:37.260 You have no...

00:37:38.260 Fine.

00:37:39.240 Fine,

00:37:39.840 Miss... 0.99

00:37:40.620 I'm trying.

00:37:42.100 I try to be a better person.

00:37:43.560 You are.

00:37:43.900 And you drag me down

00:37:45.920 every day.

00:37:46.700 Lord,

00:37:47.380 it is his fault. 0.57

00:37:48.700 Strike him down. 0.94

00:37:50.880 There's a lot of smoting

00:37:52.200 coming at some point.

00:37:53.820 I have a relative

00:37:55.180 who works for a company

00:37:56.420 that's associated

00:37:57.320 with United Healthcare.

00:37:59.800 And to the point

00:38:00.780 that she's had

00:38:01.820 Zoom calls

00:38:02.680 with Brian Thompson.

00:38:04.680 Wow.

00:38:04.820 You know,

00:38:05.000 group calls.

00:38:06.500 And she's like,

00:38:08.180 I...

00:38:09.140 He's like the nicest

00:38:10.500 guy in the world.

00:38:11.960 Everybody in the company

00:38:13.020 loved this guy.

00:38:14.320 He spent all this time...

00:38:15.540 Of course,

00:38:15.560 they're all...

00:38:16.180 They're all shivving

00:38:17.620 the average person

00:38:19.160 in the back.

00:38:19.700 I don't think that's true.

00:38:21.300 You know,

00:38:21.680 the people...

00:38:22.740 He was known

00:38:23.640 in the company

00:38:24.200 as one of the good guys

00:38:25.420 who was trying

00:38:26.280 to reform the problems

00:38:27.580 in the industry.

00:38:29.540 He was a guy

00:38:30.640 who was constantly

00:38:31.400 encouraging

00:38:32.100 low-level employees

00:38:33.340 to be able

00:38:34.380 to have new opportunities

00:38:35.680 and make their lives better.

00:38:37.720 This was a good man.

00:38:40.140 A good man.

00:38:41.100 A good man

00:38:42.080 who was...

00:38:42.700 who came up...

00:38:43.540 whose dad,

00:38:44.500 by the way,

00:38:45.680 worked at a grain elevator.

00:38:48.680 He came up

00:38:49.460 from nothing

00:38:50.400 and was a massive success

00:38:54.500 and was loved

00:38:55.960 by the people around him.

00:38:57.100 And these

00:38:58.000 mother...

00:39:00.220 people

00:39:01.340 are cheering on

00:39:05.700 his cold-blooded murder

00:39:08.520 in the streets

00:39:09.240 of Manhattan.

00:39:10.940 Let me tell you

00:39:12.760 the part that really

00:39:13.800 makes me want

00:39:14.780 to sound like you.

00:39:16.560 In just a minute,

00:39:17.460 let me quickly break.

00:39:19.120 New year is right

00:39:19.960 around the corner.

00:39:20.660 Pretty soon,

00:39:21.160 2024 will be

00:39:22.380 in our rearview mirror.

00:39:23.540 Thank God.

00:39:25.180 So you need to be

00:39:25.700 asking yourself,

00:39:26.500 what are your financial

00:39:27.360 goals in 2025?

00:39:28.500 We could have been

00:39:30.740 asking ourselves,

00:39:31.480 are we going to have

00:39:32.400 any money in 2025?

00:39:34.400 It's a difficult thing

00:39:35.180 to do,

00:39:35.760 but we've got to go over,

00:39:37.160 and especially

00:39:38.400 when you are

00:39:40.200 way behind

00:39:41.000 because you've had

00:39:42.200 to put a lot

00:39:42.740 on your credit card

00:39:43.660 and your credit card

00:39:44.720 interest is

00:39:45.420 way over the top.

00:39:47.020 For over two decades,

00:39:48.020 American Financing

00:39:48.820 has been helping people

00:39:49.760 just like you

00:39:50.400 get to where they need

00:39:51.200 to be,

00:39:51.460 and they can help you

00:39:52.200 and your family as well.

00:39:54.060 You have American Financing

00:39:55.020 a call.

00:39:55.500 You might be surprised

00:39:56.160 with the options

00:39:58.180 or are available to you

00:39:59.280 from mortgage refis

00:40:00.560 to other forms

00:40:01.140 of debt consolidation,

00:40:06.000 the high interest debts.

00:40:07.320 They could be saving

00:40:08.060 you hundreds of dollars

00:40:09.460 maybe as much

00:40:43.300 the Glenn Beck Program.

00:40:45.300 cyber scammers

00:40:55.540 tried to steal

00:40:56.800 Graceland

00:40:57.400 from Elvis Presley's

00:40:58.460 family.

00:40:59.500 If they're going to do that,

00:41:00.820 they're probably going to

00:41:02.180 get away with it

00:41:03.280 a lot more easily

00:41:04.360 if they try to do it to you.

00:41:05.760 FBI calls this crime

00:41:07.120 house stealing,

00:41:08.560 which is,

00:41:09.500 you know,

00:41:09.920 a major crime.

00:41:10.800 If you're a homeowner

00:41:12.120 like I am,

00:41:12.940 you want to

00:41:13.860 do everything you can

00:41:15.440 to protect your home.

00:41:17.000 So,

00:41:17.580 when's the last time

00:41:18.080 you checked on your home's title?

00:41:19.340 You're doing that weekly,

00:41:20.480 monthly,

00:41:21.160 quarterly?

00:41:21.920 Never?

00:41:22.820 Because, I mean,

00:41:23.280 the obvious answer is never.

00:41:25.440 There's $16 trillion

00:41:26.420 in available equity

00:41:27.560 in our homes.

00:41:28.260 And it's like money

00:41:28.880 that people don't watch, right?

00:41:30.180 Like, you don't check

00:41:30.900 your home's title

00:41:31.700 on a regular basis.

00:41:33.380 So, scammers can transfer

00:41:34.480 your home's title

00:41:35.340 into their name

00:41:36.520 and take out fraudulent loans

00:41:37.800 and steal your equity

00:41:38.720 and leave you

00:41:39.280 with a financial

00:41:39.940 and emotional nightmare.

00:41:42.340 This is the kind of thing

00:41:43.060 that can happen

00:41:43.520 to literally anyone

00:41:44.500 who doesn't have

00:41:45.340 protection against it.

00:41:46.800 Don't let you

00:41:47.620 or anyone you know

00:41:48.880 be a victim of this.

00:41:50.280 How do you prevent this?

00:41:51.360 Well,

00:41:51.980 the good news is

00:41:52.680 you can get in touch

00:42:40.820 with the kids

00:42:43.420 Welcome to the

00:42:44.240 Landbeck program.

00:42:46.240 Glad you're here.

00:42:47.120 You know,

00:42:48.440 the thing that really

00:42:50.260 makes me angry

00:42:51.140 is

00:42:51.660 Sorry,

00:42:55.440 I have to use

00:42:56.620 Les Miserables

00:42:57.500 as an example.

00:42:58.960 Oh, jeez.

00:42:59.300 God, I'm such a weirdo.

00:43:00.940 That's why I have no friends.

00:43:02.060 Better than Chitty Chitty Bang Man. 0.99

00:43:04.460 It's usually where you go

00:43:05.680 in these moments.

00:43:06.240 So, you know,

00:43:07.200 the revolution is started

00:43:08.600 by all of these,

00:43:09.940 you know,

00:43:10.700 socialists.

00:43:12.240 They're all rich kids.

00:43:13.760 They're all rich,

00:43:14.840 privileged kids

00:43:15.680 that start the revolution.

00:43:17.640 This is who this guy is.

00:43:19.540 He has absolutely

00:43:21.340 nothing to whine about.

00:43:24.300 Nothing to whine about.

00:43:26.800 His family seems to be

00:43:28.520 a really gracious family.

00:43:30.280 I don't know.

00:43:31.720 But it's these rich,

00:43:33.800 spoiled, 0.98

00:43:35.000 white kids 0.99

00:43:35.780 that just think 0.99

00:43:37.480 they know better

00:43:38.480 than everyone else.

00:43:39.860 They grow up to be

00:43:41.180 rich,

00:43:42.180 little, 0.73

00:43:42.620 white liberals

00:43:43.560 and they are 1.00

00:43:45.220 so screwed up 1.00

00:43:47.120 and nobody even 0.99

00:43:48.400 seems to mention that.

00:43:49.940 Here's 1%.

00:43:51.180 The Glenn Beck Program.

00:43:53.000 I want to talk to you

00:43:53.580 about pre-born.

00:43:56.460 There's new studies

00:43:57.640 out that show

00:43:58.240 that I think

00:43:59.660 65,

00:44:00.340 68% of women

00:44:01.360 who have abortions

00:44:02.700 within a year

00:44:04.060 are having

00:44:04.640 serious behavioral

00:44:05.940 problems

00:44:06.540 and psychological

00:44:07.600 problems.

00:44:08.220 and that's

00:44:09.880 completely understandable

00:44:12.800 and I want to make sure

00:44:15.720 that we are

00:44:16.900 changing the hearts

00:44:18.100 and minds

00:44:18.600 of people on abortion

00:44:19.640 because you can't do it

00:44:20.960 by showing people

00:44:22.000 pictures of aborted babies

00:44:23.360 and things like that

00:44:24.140 because we know.

00:44:26.260 We know what it is.

00:44:27.480 We know what it is.

00:44:28.340 Now how do we solve it?

00:44:29.500 And one way

00:44:30.140 we can solve it

00:44:31.160 so it doesn't go

00:44:32.120 into backroom abortions 0.93

00:44:33.900 or back alley abortions 1.00

00:44:35.040 is by caring

00:44:37.920 for the women

00:44:38.700 who feel trapped

00:44:40.820 and that's about

00:44:41.580 65% of women.

00:44:42.880 They just don't feel

00:44:43.460 like they have

00:44:43.880 any other option.

00:44:45.560 They do

00:44:46.080 and that option

00:44:47.460 begins with pre-born.

00:44:50.040 Would you consider

00:44:51.120 a gift to pre-born

00:44:52.780 maybe even a leadership

00:44:54.120 gift in a big way?

00:44:55.900 $5,000, $10,000,

00:44:56.640 $15,000

00:44:57.440 would be used to

00:44:58.400 save countless babies

00:45:00.160 and through a match

00:45:01.540 your gift is doubled

00:45:02.520 so it doesn't matter

00:45:03.560 $28 buys an ultrasound

00:45:05.320 but any gift is welcome.

00:45:07.660 Dial pound 250

00:45:08.440 say the keyword baby.

00:45:09.840 Pound 250 baby.

00:45:10.700 We got to stand together

00:45:24.520 if we're going to survive.

00:45:39.460 Stand up straight

00:45:43.340 and hold the light

00:45:44.700 It's a new day

00:45:47.420 on time to ride

00:45:48.840 Welcome to the fusion

00:45:51.560 of entertainment

00:45:53.040 and enlightenment.

00:45:55.720 This is the Glenn Beck Program.

00:45:59.380 Hello America.

00:46:00.040 Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.

00:46:01.840 You know they say

00:46:02.740 the truth hurts.

00:46:04.300 The truth will set you free

00:46:05.520 but the truth hurts.

00:46:06.500 I mean it's going to

00:46:07.500 It'll make you miserable

00:46:10.080 at first

00:46:10.520 and then you'll get better.

00:46:11.660 I'm going to spend

00:46:12.080 a time in my little misery

00:46:13.680 telling you the truth

00:46:14.620 about something

00:46:15.340 that is

00:46:16.760 one of the hardest things

00:46:20.360 I'll ever have to try

00:46:22.100 to spit out

00:46:23.320 in 60 seconds.

00:46:25.600 Stand by.

00:46:26.060 This is a season of giving

00:46:28.440 and the Tunnel of Towers Foundation

00:46:29.940 is outdoing itself

00:46:31.180 as always.

00:46:32.200 They're giving away

00:46:32.780 dozens of mortgage-free homes

00:46:34.500 to deserving families

00:46:36.020 all over the United States

00:46:37.500 during their season of hope.

00:46:38.860 Let me tell you about

00:46:39.580 one of the previous recipients

00:46:40.940 U.S. Army Captain

00:46:41.940 David Christopher.

00:46:42.940 David was catastrophically

00:46:44.780 injured in an accident

00:46:45.940 the day before

00:46:46.720 he was set to deploy

00:46:47.680 to South Korea

00:46:48.500 and has been living

00:46:49.380 with the difficulties

00:46:50.060 of that injury ever since.

00:46:51.900 After receiving

00:46:52.700 his mortgage-free smart home

00:46:54.200 David said that it enabled him

00:46:56.640 to help other veterans

00:46:57.740 which he now believes

00:46:58.840 is his purpose in life.

00:47:00.580 He said it made him feel

00:47:01.520 truly appreciated

00:47:02.920 for the first time

00:47:04.240 for his military service

00:47:05.640 and he plans to pay it forward

00:47:07.040 and continue to help others

00:47:08.300 in similar situations.

00:47:10.160 Our veterans

00:47:10.740 and our first responders

00:47:11.960 deserve so much better

00:47:13.660 than what they get

00:47:15.100 and the Tunnel of Towers Foundation

00:47:16.760 is working to live up to that.

00:47:18.800 But they need your help.

00:47:20.200 Would you consider donating

00:47:21.460 $11 a month

00:47:22.600 to help our heroes

00:47:23.640 and their families now?

00:47:25.280 $11 a month

00:47:26.420 to Tunnel to Towers.

00:47:28.820 It's t2t.org.

00:47:34.440 t2t.org.

00:47:37.880 All right, I'm going to play some stuff.

00:47:40.700 It's got to be said.

00:47:42.140 And I want you to know

00:47:43.560 what I'm going to say to you here

00:47:45.040 is I'm only saying it

00:47:48.080 because it is absolutely true

00:47:50.600 and it only counts

00:47:52.860 when it takes

00:47:54.580 everything in you

00:47:56.700 to say it.

00:47:58.560 It's easy to say,

00:48:00.620 well, we have the right.

00:48:03.160 It's easy to say that.

00:48:04.980 It only counts

00:48:06.800 when you

00:48:07.900 hate saying it.

00:48:10.320 And I

00:48:11.220 hate saying this.

00:48:14.060 With that,

00:48:15.020 let me play a couple

00:48:16.100 of clips

00:48:17.380 of audio.

00:48:19.260 Let's first play

00:48:20.720 Taylor Lorenz

00:48:22.880 as she was talking

00:48:24.180 with Piers Morgan

00:48:25.440 about

00:48:27.040 the killer

00:48:28.660 of the United

00:48:29.780 Healthcare CEO.

00:48:30.800 Why would you be

00:48:32.180 in such a celebratory

00:48:33.300 mood

00:48:34.280 about the execution

00:48:36.220 of another human being?

00:48:37.940 Aren't you supposed

00:48:38.480 to be on the

00:48:39.140 caring, sharing left

00:48:40.800 where, you know,

00:48:41.940 you believe in the

00:48:42.620 sanctity of life?

00:48:45.300 I do believe

00:48:46.300 in the sanctity of life

00:48:47.420 and I think that's

00:48:48.220 why I felt

00:48:49.360 along with so many

00:48:50.220 other Americans

00:48:50.920 joy, unfortunately,

00:48:53.220 you know,

00:48:53.540 because it feels like

00:48:55.020 Joy?

00:48:55.520 Serious?

00:48:55.780 I mean,

00:48:56.760 Joy in a man's execution?

00:48:58.400 Maybe not joy,

00:48:59.100 but certainly not empathy

00:49:01.920 because, again...

00:49:03.060 We're watching the footage.

00:49:04.220 How can this make you joyful?

00:49:06.400 This guy's a husband,

00:49:07.740 he's a father,

00:49:09.380 and he's being young

00:49:10.200 down in the middle

00:49:10.960 of Manhattan.

00:49:11.600 Why is that making you joyful?

00:49:12.840 So are the tens of thousands

00:49:16.500 of Americans,

00:49:17.380 innocent Americans,

00:49:19.080 who died

00:49:20.200 because

00:49:21.140 greedy health insurance

00:49:22.880 executives like this one

00:49:24.240 push policies

00:49:25.640 of denying care

00:49:26.760 to the most vulnerable people.

00:49:27.860 And by the way,

00:49:28.600 let me just clarify.

00:49:29.220 Hang on, Taylor.

00:49:29.780 I'll come back to you.

00:49:31.040 Okay, don't say I'm joyful.

00:49:32.920 I said I...

00:49:33.420 You said you were feeling joyful.

00:49:36.240 Yeah, I take that back.

00:49:37.720 Joyful is the wrong word,

00:49:39.000 Piers.

00:49:39.300 You think?

00:49:39.560 And I said,

00:49:40.040 as I clarify...

00:49:40.520 You think?

00:49:41.040 Yeah.

00:49:41.700 You think joyful's

00:49:42.900 the wrong word?

00:49:44.000 Yeah, I'd say it is.

00:49:45.140 Sure, but vindicated

00:49:45.720 celebratory because,

00:49:47.900 again,

00:49:48.220 it feels like justice

00:49:49.480 in this system

00:49:50.360 when somebody responsible

00:49:51.600 for the death.

00:49:52.280 Oh, no.

00:49:53.040 Please let her keep talking.

00:49:54.660 That was awesome.

00:49:55.460 I can't take it anymore.

00:49:56.520 No, you don't...

00:49:57.440 Are you sure joy

00:49:58.680 isn't the right word?

00:50:00.020 It's crazy.

00:50:01.800 Now, let's go to Daniel Penny.

00:50:04.300 Daniel Penny is found innocent.

00:50:07.400 I think anyone

00:50:08.540 looks at what he did,

00:50:10.780 what he tried to do,

00:50:12.440 the spirit he tried to do it in,

00:50:15.060 he was not trying to kill anyone.

00:50:17.900 He was trying to protect people.

00:50:20.940 BLM of New York,

00:50:22.280 which has only sold...

00:50:24.060 I think the only thing

00:50:24.920 they do is sell hats,

00:50:26.820 you know,

00:50:27.300 that say,

00:50:28.180 F the mayor,

00:50:29.500 you know, whatever.

00:50:31.600 They came out,

00:50:33.100 and this is what they...

00:50:34.660 This is what the head

00:50:35.900 of BLM New York said

00:50:37.220 after the Daniel Penny trial. 0.89

00:50:39.480 We need some black vigilantes. 1.00

00:50:42.440 That's right. 0.98

00:50:43.400 People want to jump up

00:50:45.000 and choke us 1.00

00:50:46.660 and kill us 1.00

00:50:48.720 for being loud? 0.99

00:50:50.000 How about we do the same

00:50:52.880 when they attempt

00:50:54.580 to oppress us?

00:50:56.760 I'm tired.

00:50:59.360 Boy, am I tired.

00:51:00.460 Don't get tired.

00:51:01.280 Okay.

00:51:02.220 It's important to make sure

00:51:03.420 you're well-rested.

00:51:04.220 Yeah, get your rest.

00:51:05.340 You might get a little cranky.

00:51:06.620 Might do and say

00:51:07.380 some crazy things.

00:51:08.780 Okay.

00:51:09.320 So, let me talk about

00:51:10.660 those two statements quickly.

00:51:15.280 If I said this

00:51:17.060 and said,

00:51:18.020 it's time for some vigilantes, 0.93

00:51:19.760 not even white or black, 0.62

00:51:21.720 just,

00:51:22.160 it's time to get

00:51:23.080 some vigilantes.

00:51:25.620 They would do everything

00:51:26.780 they could

00:51:27.360 to get me off the air.

00:51:29.140 Everything.

00:51:30.760 And I wouldn't say that

00:51:32.120 because I don't believe in that.

00:51:33.860 I believe in the Constitution.

00:51:37.380 But here's a guy

00:51:38.340 who can say that

00:51:39.300 and no one says a word

00:51:41.060 except amen.

00:51:42.860 No one on the left,

00:51:43.820 no one in the media.

00:51:44.960 Well, he's got reasons

00:51:46.260 to say that, you know.

00:51:47.380 Oh, okay.

00:51:49.780 But I would

00:51:50.800 be blackballed.

00:51:52.820 My life would be over

00:51:54.460 if I said that.

00:51:56.320 Taylor Lorenz,

00:51:57.660 she's out of her mind 0.95

00:51:58.980 nuts. 0.65

00:52:00.380 Okay?

00:52:01.180 Out of her mind

00:52:02.380 nuts.

00:52:04.220 How many times

00:52:05.000 do we have to hear

00:52:05.860 this woman

00:52:06.440 say crazy things 0.77

00:52:08.480 like,

00:52:09.120 I don't feel joyful,

00:52:10.480 just celebratory.

00:52:11.480 because somebody

00:52:12.880 was gunned down

00:52:14.380 in the streets

00:52:15.840 because she thinks

00:52:17.740 health care

00:52:19.120 is murdering

00:52:21.200 people in America. 0.91

00:52:23.620 Okay, here's

00:52:24.080 what I,

00:52:26.100 oh my gosh.

00:52:28.180 Stu,

00:52:29.200 do you have aspirin

00:52:30.060 on you or anything?

00:52:30.800 Because if I have a stroke

00:52:31.920 while I'm saying this,

00:52:33.780 please just put some

00:52:34.820 aspirin on my tongue

00:52:35.880 so I might survive

00:52:37.640 a little bit

00:52:38.780 on this.

00:52:39.520 All of these people

00:52:42.080 have a right

00:52:43.860 to say that.

00:52:46.020 Here is,

00:52:46.920 you can't cry

00:52:47.720 fire in a fire

00:52:48.600 crowd,

00:52:49.040 crowd a firehouse.

00:52:50.120 I don't know.

00:52:50.980 They were just

00:52:51.640 in a courtroom

00:52:52.560 saying we should 1.00

00:52:54.100 kill people 1.00

00:52:55.220 like him. 1.00

00:52:57.300 I don't know.

00:53:00.060 Here is the

00:53:01.080 actual court ruling.

00:53:02.720 This is from 1969.

00:53:05.160 Court said

00:53:06.140 there's a two-pronged

00:53:07.300 test to evaluate

00:53:08.100 speech.

00:53:08.720 One,

00:53:10.320 speech can be

00:53:11.820 prohibited

00:53:12.340 if it is,

00:53:13.840 quoting,

00:53:14.940 directed at

00:53:16.240 inciting

00:53:17.220 or producing

00:53:19.300 imminent

00:53:20.360 lawless action.

00:53:21.920 Now,

00:53:22.280 you could say,

00:53:23.320 why do we have

00:53:24.140 a vigilante?

00:53:25.620 Why do we

00:53:26.320 kill people?

00:53:27.620 That is 0.99

00:53:28.520 inciting.

00:53:29.760 It is.

00:53:30.700 Inciting people

00:53:31.460 to go and take

00:53:32.200 lawless action.

00:53:33.100 But it isn't

00:53:34.840 imminent

00:53:35.880 lawless action.

00:53:38.720 If somebody

00:53:39.680 then picked up

00:53:40.740 guns and

00:53:41.520 started mowing 0.99

00:53:42.500 down black 1.00

00:53:43.860 people or white 0.98

00:53:44.560 people or people 0.90

00:53:45.760 that have bad

00:53:47.440 acne or perfect

00:53:48.800 faces or whatever

00:53:49.940 it is,

00:53:50.720 then that speech,

00:53:54.980 he would be

00:53:56.280 responsible for it.

00:53:57.580 But the court

00:53:58.560 says it is

00:53:59.640 such a

00:54:01.100 fine line

00:54:03.440 here that

00:54:04.440 you have to

00:54:05.540 go so far

00:54:06.880 before your

00:54:08.060 speech is

00:54:10.020 banned.

00:54:10.700 It has to be,

00:54:11.940 one,

00:54:13.220 directed at

00:54:13.940 inciting or

00:54:14.800 producing imminent

00:54:15.740 lawless action,

00:54:16.800 and two,

00:54:18.200 likely to

00:54:19.360 incite or

00:54:20.180 produce such

00:54:21.440 action.

00:54:22.100 two standards.

00:54:24.880 Both of them

00:54:25.680 have to be

00:54:26.200 met.

00:54:26.940 I am only

00:54:27.660 spitting this

00:54:28.420 out because

00:54:29.400 I hate

00:54:31.560 what these 0.99

00:54:32.440 people have

00:54:33.000 said.

00:54:33.660 I despise 0.93

00:54:35.180 what these 0.82

00:54:35.760 people say.

00:54:36.940 I believe

00:54:37.460 with everything,

00:54:38.500 every piece

00:54:40.580 and every cell

00:54:41.680 of my body,

00:54:42.380 what they're

00:54:42.920 saying is

00:54:43.660 evil.

00:54:45.700 But because

00:54:46.940 I'm an

00:54:47.420 American

00:54:47.940 constitutionalist,

00:54:49.740 I defend

00:54:51.320 their right

00:54:52.100 to say

00:54:52.760 it.

00:54:53.880 And it

00:54:54.440 only matters

00:54:55.520 to say

00:54:56.100 these things

00:54:56.880 when it

00:54:57.640 kills you

00:54:58.700 to say

00:54:59.280 it.

00:54:59.640 And it's

00:55:00.340 killing me

00:55:01.060 to say

00:55:01.500 it.

00:55:03.440 For all

00:55:04.340 those on

00:55:05.000 the left

00:55:05.580 that claim

00:55:07.220 that they

00:55:07.960 are the

00:55:08.280 banners of

00:55:09.160 justice,

00:55:09.860 they believe

00:55:10.500 in the

00:55:10.860 Bill of

00:55:11.240 Rights,

00:55:11.620 they believe

00:55:12.260 in freedom

00:55:12.780 of speech,

00:55:13.380 but it has

00:55:14.080 limits,

00:55:14.880 yes,

00:55:15.600 those are

00:55:16.220 those two

00:55:16.800 limits.

00:55:17.520 That's as

00:55:18.020 far as I

00:55:19.060 have seen

00:55:19.660 two people

00:55:20.540 go in a

00:55:21.260 week,

00:55:21.720 maybe in

00:55:22.260 my lifetime,

00:55:23.880 and I'm

00:55:25.820 not calling

00:55:26.280 for them

00:55:26.660 to be

00:55:26.980 silenced.

00:55:28.860 And if

00:55:29.540 you'll

00:55:29.780 notice,

00:55:31.120 nor is

00:55:32.540 most people

00:55:33.460 on the

00:55:33.800 right.

00:55:35.480 No one's 0.64

00:55:36.400 saying,

00:55:37.720 get them.

00:55:40.460 Because

00:55:41.020 we

00:55:41.980 hold

00:55:43.960 certain

00:55:44.780 truths

00:55:45.520 to be

00:55:46.300 self-evident.

00:55:48.700 Bill O'Reilly

00:55:49.560 joins me next.

00:55:50.400 Hang on.

00:55:50.740 Let me

00:55:51.140 first take

00:55:51.700 one minute

00:55:52.200 to talk

00:55:53.120 to you

00:55:53.300 about

00:55:53.500 Jace

00:55:53.760 Medical.

00:55:54.700 Holiday

00:55:55.100 traveling,

00:55:56.080 you know

00:55:56.560 you're

00:55:56.740 going to

00:55:56.820 be

00:55:56.920 around

00:55:57.120 a lot

00:55:57.680 of

00:55:57.800 people,

00:55:58.320 people in

00:55:59.000 the airport,

00:55:59.660 people on

00:56:00.060 the plane,

00:56:00.760 the family

00:56:01.220 members,

00:56:01.780 tons of

00:56:02.140 others.

00:56:03.060 When

00:56:03.260 somebody

00:56:03.600 gets sick, 0.82

00:56:04.500 especially

00:56:04.860 your kid,

00:56:05.840 I mean,

00:56:06.100 what are you

00:56:06.320 going to do?

00:56:06.600 Are you

00:56:06.780 going to go

00:56:07.200 and go

00:56:08.200 to emergency

00:56:08.880 care and

00:56:09.500 spend all

00:56:09.960 that time

00:56:10.260 in emergency

00:56:10.660 care?

00:56:11.580 With

00:56:11.900 Jace

00:56:12.420 Medical,

00:56:12.960 they have

00:56:13.320 your back

00:56:13.700 with the

00:56:14.160 Jace

00:56:14.640 Go.

00:56:15.760 It's a

00:56:16.120 compact

00:56:16.460 travel kit

00:56:17.220 filled with

00:56:17.900 essential

00:56:18.280 prescription

00:56:18.780 medications,

00:56:19.620 stuff for

00:56:19.960 ear infections,

00:56:21.100 food poisoning.

00:56:22.360 Yeah.

00:56:23.400 Have you

00:56:24.000 had her

00:56:24.620 salad?

00:56:25.560 I mean,

00:56:26.000 she might 0.99

00:56:26.440 be your

00:56:26.740 aunt,

00:56:27.000 but have

00:56:27.480 you had

00:56:27.860 it before?

00:56:28.260 Sitting out

00:56:28.800 a little

00:56:29.060 too long,

00:56:29.560 I'm just

00:56:29.800 saying.

00:56:30.940 Multiple

00:56:31.340 emergency

00:56:31.920 trips to

00:56:32.540 the bathroom,

00:56:33.200 let's say.

00:56:33.620 It's

00:56:34.060 small,

00:56:34.480 it'll

00:56:34.680 fit into

00:56:35.200 your

00:56:35.420 carry-on

00:56:35.940 bag,

00:56:36.280 but it

00:56:36.500 packs a

00:56:36.900 powerful

00:56:37.280 punch,

00:56:38.080 the kind

00:56:38.460 that can

00:56:38.740 give you

00:56:39.020 some peace

00:56:39.460 of mind

00:56:39.880 as you

00:56:40.240 head out

00:56:40.580 this holiday

00:56:41.080 season and

00:56:41.660 you do

00:56:41.900 some traveling.

00:56:43.000 For the

00:56:43.780 sake of the

00:56:44.240 family,

00:56:44.640 make sure

00:56:44.940 that you

00:56:45.140 have

00:56:45.260 medications

00:56:45.760 that you

00:56:46.380 might need

00:56:46.820 on hand

00:56:47.480 while you're

00:56:48.060 traveling.

00:56:48.720 Enjoy a

00:56:49.040 little peace

00:56:49.400 of mind.

00:57:24.240 a guy I

00:57:25.680 really

00:57:26.500 have been

00:57:27.600 thinking a

00:57:28.200 lot about

00:57:28.680 this week,

00:57:29.400 which I

00:57:30.120 try to

00:57:30.880 avoid all

00:57:31.620 the time,

00:57:32.340 is Bill

00:57:32.620 O'Reilly.

00:57:34.800 And Bill

00:57:35.440 O'Reilly

00:57:35.880 is a guy

00:57:36.420 in 2009

00:57:37.420 that everybody

00:57:39.340 dogpiled on

00:57:40.260 and said,

00:57:40.760 he's responsible

00:57:41.800 for Dr.

00:57:43.840 Tiller being 0.96

00:57:44.560 killed. 0.91

00:57:45.220 He's the

00:57:45.720 guy who

00:57:46.300 did it.

00:57:46.840 His speech,

00:57:47.900 yada,

00:57:48.320 yada,

00:57:48.800 yada.

00:57:49.380 And nobody

00:57:50.080 talked about

00:57:50.760 nobody on

00:57:52.420 the right

00:57:53.140 that hates

00:57:54.120 abortion.

00:57:55.400 No one

00:57:56.200 came out

00:57:56.660 and said,

00:57:57.140 well,

00:57:57.680 yeah,

00:57:57.860 but the

00:57:58.220 guy has

00:57:58.940 good abs

00:57:59.780 and he

00:58:00.980 does make

00:58:01.520 a point.

00:58:02.160 The doctor

00:58:02.580 was murdering

00:58:03.760 a lot of

00:58:04.160 people.

00:58:04.660 No one

00:58:05.320 excused that.

00:58:07.380 And yet,

00:58:07.780 they can gun

00:58:08.540 a CEO

00:58:09.500 down in

00:58:10.300 the street

00:58:10.860 and the

00:58:11.840 left is

00:58:12.400 all

00:58:12.780 excusing

00:58:13.900 him.

00:58:14.740 Well,

00:58:15.360 yeah,

00:58:16.160 but there's

00:58:17.800 no but

00:58:18.300 here.

00:58:19.380 Bill O'Reilly,

00:58:20.480 welcome to the

00:58:21.040 program.

00:58:21.460 How are you,

00:58:21.960 sir?

00:58:22.780 You know,

00:58:23.160 I was thinking

00:58:23.440 about you,

00:58:24.220 too,

00:58:24.240 because you're

00:58:25.060 looking more

00:58:26.180 and more

00:58:26.460 like Santa

00:58:27.260 every year.

00:58:28.400 I don't think

00:58:28.840 that's right.

00:58:29.720 You kind of

00:58:30.460 morphed into

00:58:31.780 that North Pole

00:58:33.140 look.

00:58:33.460 Thank you.

00:58:33.960 Thank you.

00:58:34.520 I appreciate it.

00:58:35.680 You know,

00:58:36.400 you're a brilliant

00:58:37.480 man,

00:58:37.900 of course,

00:58:38.320 everyone knows

00:58:39.000 that,

00:58:39.940 but the story

00:58:42.480 with Dr.

00:58:43.900 Tiller in

00:58:44.720 Kansas is

00:58:45.340 even worse 0.97

00:58:46.120 than people

00:58:47.360 know,

00:58:48.380 because what

00:58:49.540 I was doing

00:58:50.200 in 2009

00:58:51.040 on the Fox

00:58:52.080 News channel

00:58:52.780 was reporting

00:58:53.900 what this

00:58:55.640 guy was

00:58:56.180 doing,

00:58:56.960 Tiller.

00:58:58.060 And in

00:58:58.860 the body

00:58:59.660 of the

00:59:00.000 reportage,

00:59:01.680 I mentioned

00:59:02.460 that his

00:59:02.940 nickname

00:59:03.480 in Kansas

00:59:05.460 was

00:59:06.060 Tiller

00:59:07.120 the Baby 0.89

00:59:08.320 Killer.

00:59:09.980 And that

00:59:10.700 was true.

00:59:11.760 It was part

00:59:12.160 of the story.

00:59:13.340 Immediately,

00:59:14.880 the far

00:59:15.780 left press

00:59:16.580 said,

00:59:17.140 I branded

00:59:17.900 him that

00:59:18.480 name.

00:59:20.280 O'Reilly

00:59:20.840 called him

00:59:21.520 that name.

00:59:22.040 O'Reilly

00:59:22.520 made that

00:59:23.180 up.

00:59:23.440 O'Reilly

00:59:24.480 put him

00:59:24.980 in danger.

00:59:25.780 O'Reilly

00:59:26.380 wanted him 0.92

00:59:27.080 dead. 0.98

00:59:28.820 That's how

00:59:29.500 heinous

00:59:30.120 the left-wing 0.88

00:59:32.400 media is.

00:59:33.880 And it's

00:59:34.340 gotten worse

00:59:35.140 since then,

00:59:36.220 if you can

00:59:36.580 believe it,

00:59:37.200 but it's

00:59:37.600 gotten

00:59:37.800 absolutely

00:59:38.360 worse.

00:59:39.620 But they're

00:59:40.180 paying a big

00:59:40.680 price now

00:59:41.320 for that.

00:59:42.160 Anyway,

00:59:43.200 Tiller

00:59:44.480 himself

00:59:45.480 was murdered

00:59:47.120 and the guy

00:59:48.100 who did it

00:59:48.760 is in life

00:59:49.640 serving life.

00:59:51.000 Right.

00:59:51.160 He was

00:59:51.560 gunned down

00:59:51.920 a church

00:59:52.540 and

00:59:53.920 subsequently,

00:59:56.580 the people

00:59:57.140 who worked

00:59:57.760 for Tiller

00:59:58.340 all lost

00:59:59.420 their medical

01:00:00.180 licenses in

01:00:01.280 Kansas

01:00:01.760 because,

01:00:04.300 sorry about

01:00:06.600 the dog.

01:00:07.300 Can you hear?

01:00:08.160 No,

01:00:08.400 this is your

01:00:08.820 only friend.

01:00:09.520 It's okay.

01:00:09.960 I know.

01:00:11.280 The dog

01:00:12.020 is barking.

01:00:13.900 It's all

01:00:14.340 right.

01:00:14.800 So,

01:00:15.340 wait a minute,

01:00:15.620 wait a minute,

01:00:15.980 wait a minute.

01:00:16.600 So,

01:00:16.860 this would be

01:00:18.080 like if

01:00:18.820 everybody around

01:00:20.500 this CEO

01:00:21.180 of United

01:00:21.800 Healthcare

01:00:22.200 lost their

01:00:23.360 license because

01:00:24.080 they were

01:00:24.460 actually doing

01:00:25.520 something

01:00:26.160 illegal and

01:00:27.340 really bad,

01:00:28.060 but that

01:00:29.280 didn't happen

01:00:29.760 in this case,

01:00:30.500 and yet,

01:00:31.700 in the Tiller

01:00:32.420 case,

01:00:33.200 all the people

01:00:33.820 around him

01:00:34.580 lost their

01:00:36.160 license to

01:00:37.600 practice?

01:00:38.000 Yeah,

01:00:38.960 I mean,

01:00:39.480 they had

01:00:40.060 hearings in

01:00:40.740 Kansas.

01:00:41.180 This is how

01:00:41.640 bad it was.

01:00:43.240 This guy

01:00:44.160 was charging

01:00:45.120 $5,000.

01:00:47.640 You walk

01:00:48.240 in,

01:00:48.700 no,

01:00:49.380 you pay

01:00:50.480 cash,

01:00:52.180 and he

01:00:52.540 aborts

01:00:53.120 whatever

01:00:53.940 unborn

01:00:57.020 child,

01:00:57.920 whatever stage

01:00:58.660 it's in.

01:00:59.360 Could be

01:00:59.880 nine months.

01:01:02.100 $5,000

01:01:02.880 bucks,

01:01:03.260 please.

01:01:03.960 Hand him

01:01:04.260 the money.

01:01:04.900 He does

01:01:05.280 the operation.

01:01:06.680 So,

01:01:07.180 the medical

01:01:07.720 authorities

01:01:08.160 in Kansas,

01:01:09.040 after my

01:01:09.760 reporting,

01:01:10.740 looked into

01:01:11.480 what he

01:01:12.140 was doing.

01:01:13.160 He was

01:01:13.540 dead by

01:01:14.220 the time

01:01:14.740 they issued

01:01:15.520 the report,

01:01:16.780 but all

01:01:17.800 of his

01:01:18.060 people lost

01:01:19.160 their license

01:01:19.680 to practice

01:01:20.240 medicine.

01:01:21.500 Did you,

01:01:22.200 Bill,

01:01:23.580 did you,

01:01:24.380 or anyone

01:01:25.220 you know,

01:01:26.600 were you

01:01:27.260 ever even

01:01:28.080 tempted to

01:01:29.120 say,

01:01:29.920 yeah,

01:01:30.960 he was

01:01:31.220 gunned

01:01:31.520 down,

01:01:32.220 but,

01:01:32.900 I mean,

01:01:34.300 no.

01:01:34.900 Of course

01:01:35.400 not.

01:01:35.800 And he was

01:01:36.520 gunned down

01:01:36.900 in a church,

01:01:38.140 in an

01:01:38.580 Episcopal

01:01:39.140 church.

01:01:40.760 That's how

01:01:41.420 crazy this

01:01:42.040 whole story

01:01:42.580 is.

01:01:43.120 Look,

01:01:43.540 I'm a

01:01:44.020 sane

01:01:44.420 individual.

01:01:45.220 I know

01:01:45.480 that some

01:01:46.280 people disagree

01:01:46.960 with that,

01:01:47.560 including you,

01:01:48.460 but I don't

01:01:50.760 want people

01:01:51.760 to be

01:01:52.620 harmed.

01:01:53.560 I'll harm 1.00

01:01:54.420 them through 0.99

01:01:55.180 reporting.

01:01:57.200 That's the

01:01:57.980 vehicle.

01:01:58.340 I'll expose

01:01:59.220 them,

01:01:59.840 but I don't

01:02:01.000 want them

01:02:01.500 to be

01:02:02.000 physically

01:02:02.900 hurt.

01:02:04.380 Now,

01:02:04.580 this story,

01:02:05.280 because I

01:02:05.720 live in

01:02:06.480 New York,

01:02:07.000 as you

01:02:07.300 know,

01:02:08.260 this story

01:02:08.800 about the

01:02:09.220 CEO being

01:02:10.020 gunned

01:02:10.380 down,

01:02:11.060 this is

01:02:11.460 largely

01:02:12.400 a media

01:02:14.120 driven

01:02:14.600 story.

01:02:15.860 There isn't

01:02:16.660 an overwhelming

01:02:17.760 consensus

01:02:19.500 on the part

01:02:21.220 of the

01:02:21.560 left that

01:02:22.120 this homicide

01:02:22.900 was justifiable.

01:02:24.840 It's some

01:02:25.860 real far

01:02:26.900 out there

01:02:27.420 kooks

01:02:28.180 driving it.

01:02:28.860 Elizabeth

01:02:29.940 Warren.

01:02:30.800 Go ahead.

01:02:33.680 Hear me

01:02:34.380 out.

01:02:34.800 If you

01:02:35.360 don't think

01:02:35.780 Elizabeth

01:02:36.180 Warren is 0.99

01:02:36.820 a kook. 0.97

01:02:37.660 Okay,

01:02:38.220 all right,

01:02:38.600 you make

01:02:38.940 a good

01:02:39.240 point.

01:02:39.840 Thank you.

01:02:40.640 I mean,

01:02:41.160 I've got to

01:02:41.580 spend a

01:02:42.000 week in

01:02:42.380 Idaho with

01:02:43.020 you and

01:02:43.720 get you

01:02:44.160 back into

01:02:44.540 reality.

01:02:45.820 This woman

01:02:46.380 is beyond

01:02:47.320 the pain.

01:02:47.820 This and

01:02:48.140 Alexandria

01:02:48.820 Ocasio-Cortez,

01:02:50.480 my God.

01:02:51.880 All right?

01:02:52.500 Their view

01:02:53.460 of the world

01:02:54.280 is insane.

01:02:57.520 So,

01:02:57.780 there are

01:02:59.100 people on

01:03:00.100 the fringe,

01:03:00.800 and Warren

01:03:01.680 is one of

01:03:02.320 them,

01:03:03.200 all right,

01:03:03.680 who is

01:03:04.260 saying,

01:03:04.840 using the

01:03:05.720 death of

01:03:06.540 this man

01:03:07.220 to try

01:03:08.380 to hammer

01:03:09.380 the health

01:03:11.660 insurance

01:03:12.100 companies,

01:03:12.760 which deserve

01:03:14.520 to be

01:03:15.100 hammered.

01:03:15.680 That's the

01:03:16.140 real crisis

01:03:17.060 here.

01:03:18.240 So many

01:03:19.040 legitimate

01:03:20.060 claims are

01:03:22.060 being denied

01:03:22.900 now.

01:03:24.320 And by

01:03:24.800 working-class

01:03:25.880 Americans,

01:03:26.340 they pay

01:03:26.820 their

01:03:27.040 insurance

01:03:27.500 premiums,

01:03:28.180 and then

01:03:28.440 they have

01:03:28.740 something

01:03:29.000 wrong,

01:03:29.440 and they

01:03:29.620 put the

01:03:29.940 claim in,

01:03:30.440 and it

01:03:30.560 comes back, 1.00

01:03:31.140 screw you. 1.00

01:03:32.260 We're not 1.00

01:03:32.900 paying it.

01:03:34.460 So that's

01:03:35.080 a legitimate,

01:03:35.920 absolutely a

01:03:37.000 legitimate

01:03:37.660 beef.

01:03:38.600 beef.

01:03:39.600 But you

01:03:40.020 don't gun

01:03:40.960 down people.

01:03:43.820 So it's

01:03:44.960 a very,

01:03:45.460 very complicated

01:03:46.180 emotional story,

01:03:47.240 but the media

01:03:47.860 seizes on

01:03:48.880 stuff like

01:03:49.500 this because

01:03:50.280 they don't

01:03:50.920 know what

01:03:51.480 else to

01:03:52.140 do.

01:03:52.840 Unlike you

01:03:53.460 and I,

01:03:54.060 we have a

01:03:54.920 different narrative

01:03:55.720 every day.

01:03:56.520 We present to

01:03:58.040 our audience

01:03:58.480 different facts.

01:03:59.800 The people on

01:04:00.780 television,

01:04:01.420 mostly cable,

01:04:02.680 they don't know

01:04:03.400 what to do

01:04:03.800 every day,

01:04:04.380 Beck.

01:04:05.440 They've got

01:04:06.240 to latch

01:04:07.280 on to

01:04:07.880 something to

01:04:09.380 stop their 0.96

01:04:09.940 falling ratings,

01:04:11.120 and that's

01:04:11.900 primarily what

01:04:12.920 this is all

01:04:13.480 about.

01:04:14.080 They're never

01:04:14.420 going to learn,

01:04:14.900 are they?

01:04:16.320 No, because

01:04:17.240 they don't have

01:04:17.920 control.

01:04:19.180 The corporate

01:04:20.040 masters,

01:04:21.560 the Comcasts,

01:04:22.980 and the

01:04:23.660 CBS,

01:04:25.600 and all of

01:04:26.300 these people,

01:04:27.020 Disney,

01:04:28.040 they're telling

01:04:28.740 them what to

01:04:29.180 say.

01:04:30.400 And you better 0.64

01:04:30.940 damn well say 0.91

01:04:31.760 it or you're 0.99

01:04:32.140 not going to

01:04:32.460 get your

01:04:32.800 check.

01:04:33.480 Look at

01:04:33.840 Morning Joe.

01:04:35.440 That's the

01:04:36.000 best example.

01:04:37.040 He was

01:04:37.360 ordered by

01:04:38.320 Comcast to

01:04:39.120 go to see

01:04:39.680 Trump.

01:04:40.740 He just

01:04:41.420 didn't show

01:04:42.040 up at the

01:04:42.800 gate.

01:04:44.140 He was

01:04:44.740 ordered to

01:04:45.180 do it.

01:04:46.780 You've

01:04:47.200 got to make

01:04:47.600 nice with

01:04:48.100 him because

01:04:48.460 we're losing

01:04:49.020 audience.

01:04:49.620 You better

01:04:49.900 get down

01:04:50.440 there.

01:04:50.900 And of

01:04:51.460 course,

01:04:51.700 it blew

01:04:52.080 up totally

01:04:53.520 and MSNBC 0.81

01:04:54.300 is done

01:04:54.860 forever now.

01:04:56.920 I mean,

01:04:57.060 how can

01:04:57.320 you call

01:04:57.600 a guy

01:04:57.840 Hitler and 0.80

01:04:58.400 then go

01:04:58.840 and make

01:04:59.700 peace and

01:05:00.860 say,

01:05:01.300 hey,

01:05:01.320 well,

01:05:01.580 maybe he's

01:05:02.340 serving

01:05:02.580 Wienerschnitzel

01:05:03.500 that night.

01:05:03.900 I don't

01:05:04.640 know.

01:05:05.780 Okay,

01:05:06.460 but there's

01:05:06.920 no logic.

01:05:08.300 There's no

01:05:09.460 logic in

01:05:10.200 corporate.

01:05:10.640 I know you

01:05:11.580 feel the same

01:05:12.200 way,

01:05:12.560 Bec.

01:05:12.820 I am so

01:05:14.980 happy to be

01:05:15.660 out of that

01:05:16.120 corporate

01:05:16.440 thing.

01:05:17.480 You run

01:05:18.040 your own

01:05:18.460 corporation.

01:05:19.260 I run

01:05:19.580 my own

01:05:20.080 corporation.

01:05:21.480 I am

01:05:21.860 the relief

01:05:23.360 factor.

01:05:24.320 I think

01:05:24.620 that's some

01:05:25.020 kind of

01:05:25.340 thing that

01:05:25.740 they advertise

01:05:26.260 on shows.

01:05:27.080 It is.

01:05:27.840 It's so

01:05:28.800 tremendous

01:05:29.680 that I

01:05:30.180 don't have

01:05:30.400 to deal

01:05:30.780 with these

01:05:31.180 pinheads,

01:05:32.180 these 0.99

01:05:32.340 dishonest 0.85

01:05:33.140 executives.

01:05:34.180 I know.

01:05:35.040 It is

01:05:36.720 the thing

01:05:39.160 that the

01:05:39.840 corporate

01:05:40.180 media,

01:05:40.920 I mean,

01:05:41.180 they're done.

01:05:42.080 I don't

01:05:42.760 think 2028.

01:05:45.220 Let me

01:05:45.760 give you a

01:05:46.880 fact.

01:05:47.680 So when I

01:05:48.520 left Fox,

01:05:49.400 there were

01:05:49.780 people who

01:05:50.200 said,

01:05:50.420 oh,

01:05:50.520 you're not

01:05:50.780 going to

01:05:50.900 be able to

01:05:51.260 sell any

01:05:51.720 more books

01:05:52.560 now.

01:05:53.120 You had

01:05:53.920 the Fox

01:05:54.400 thing.

01:05:55.660 Confronting

01:05:56.140 the president

01:05:56.840 is maybe

01:05:58.300 number one

01:05:59.060 again this

01:06:00.120 Sunday.

01:06:00.820 We had a

01:06:01.120 huge week

01:06:02.320 last week.

01:06:04.020 13 weeks

01:06:05.260 on the

01:06:05.760 New York

01:06:06.080 Times bestseller

01:06:06.980 list,

01:06:07.300 number one

01:06:07.940 debuted.

01:06:08.840 Okay?

01:06:09.340 We don't

01:06:10.020 need them

01:06:10.600 back.

01:06:11.400 I know.

01:06:12.080 We don't

01:06:12.960 need them.

01:06:13.900 Our people,

01:06:15.200 they know it.

01:06:17.120 We're going

01:06:17.880 around them

01:06:18.680 on YouTube.

01:06:19.720 We're going

01:06:20.240 around them

01:06:20.780 on Spotify.

01:06:21.960 We're going

01:06:22.520 around them

01:06:23.060 with our

01:06:23.400 direct distribution

01:06:24.580 all over

01:06:25.720 the place.

01:06:26.720 And people

01:06:27.240 have noticed

01:06:28.080 that.

01:06:29.220 Bill O'Reilly,

01:06:30.060 it's good to

01:06:30.460 talk to you,

01:06:30.900 Bill.

01:06:31.300 Have a great

01:06:31.900 holiday.

01:06:32.660 Maybe we'll

01:06:32.980 talk before

01:06:33.460 then,

01:06:33.880 but good to

01:06:35.060 talk to you.

01:06:35.600 Thank you so

01:06:36.060 much for

01:06:36.380 coming in.

01:06:37.480 You bet.

01:06:37.760 Glenn Beck.

01:06:46.040 All right,

01:06:46.260 getting poor

01:06:46.740 sleep is not

01:06:47.900 just an

01:06:48.360 inconvenience.

01:06:49.140 It absolutely

01:06:49.880 ruins your

01:06:50.480 day,

01:06:50.700 for one

01:06:51.040 thing,

01:06:51.800 and that's

01:06:52.220 not even

01:06:52.500 the worst

01:06:52.920 part.

01:06:53.300 It's also

01:06:53.660 terrible for

01:06:54.200 your health.

01:06:54.700 It can be

01:06:54.960 very,

01:06:55.300 very dangerous.

01:06:56.180 You ever

01:06:56.380 fall asleep

01:06:56.920 while you're

01:06:57.360 driving because

01:06:58.260 you have such

01:06:58.960 terrible sleep

01:06:59.880 the night

01:07:00.220 before?

01:07:01.340 If you're

01:07:01.720 somebody who

01:07:02.160 has difficulty

01:07:02.860 sleeping,

01:07:03.640 either once

01:07:04.140 in a while

01:07:04.500 or all the

01:07:04.980 time,

01:07:05.280 there is

01:07:05.600 something that

01:07:06.040 I've taken

01:07:06.420 when I have

01:07:06.840 sleep issues.

01:07:07.520 My wife

01:07:07.900 takes it.

01:07:09.120 Between the

01:07:09.780 two of us,

01:07:10.300 we probably

01:07:10.840 take it

01:07:11.420 three,

01:07:11.780 four times

01:07:12.260 a week.

01:07:13.300 It's all

01:07:14.040 natural.

01:07:14.700 You don't

01:07:15.100 feel it in

01:07:15.580 your body.

01:07:16.540 You do not

01:07:17.920 wake up

01:07:18.400 groggy ever

01:07:19.160 the next

01:07:19.560 morning.

01:07:19.840 You just

01:07:20.180 fall asleep

01:07:20.840 a little

01:07:21.080 faster,

01:07:21.680 sleep better,

01:07:22.280 and you

01:07:22.480 sleep longer.

01:07:23.660 It's Z 0.96

01:07:24.360 factor.

01:07:25.200 It's a

01:07:25.620 formula of

01:07:26.200 four all

01:07:26.940 natural

01:07:27.320 ingredients to

01:07:28.120 calm your

01:07:28.520 mind,

01:07:28.880 relax your

01:07:29.340 body,

01:07:29.560 so you can

01:07:30.000 ease into

01:07:30.520 sleep faster

01:07:31.240 and sleep

01:07:31.720 right through

01:07:32.020 the night.

01:08:02.220 It's

01:08:32.420 Maybe it's

01:08:33.260 much

01:08:33.840 too

01:08:34.480 early

01:08:35.580 in the

01:08:36.580 game.

01:08:36.680 There's a

01:08:37.000 couple of

01:08:37.540 stories today.

01:08:39.820 I think

01:08:40.660 they're in our

01:08:41.200 show prep.

01:08:41.900 If you don't

01:08:42.260 get my

01:08:42.520 show prep

01:08:42.960 every day,

01:08:43.600 it's all

01:08:44.400 of the

01:08:44.660 news stories

01:08:45.420 that I

01:08:46.320 read every

01:08:46.860 morning and

01:08:48.200 then decide

01:08:48.720 which gets

01:08:49.760 on the

01:08:50.040 train and

01:08:50.400 which doesn't

01:08:51.360 get on the

01:08:51.780 train.

01:08:52.960 All the

01:08:53.300 important

01:08:53.660 stuff.

01:08:56.540 There's a

01:08:57.220 couple of

01:08:57.700 stories out

01:08:58.440 today.

01:08:59.240 one is

01:09:00.880 about the

01:09:01.360 death of

01:09:01.940 our

01:09:02.120 cattle

01:09:02.420 ranches.

01:09:04.460 I don't

01:09:05.580 think people

01:09:06.100 really

01:09:06.580 understand

01:09:07.440 what is

01:09:09.060 happening,

01:09:10.020 but we

01:09:10.440 are having

01:09:11.060 a crisis

01:09:12.600 with our

01:09:13.320 cattle

01:09:13.600 ranches.

01:09:15.780 The

01:09:16.240 herd

01:09:16.580 size

01:09:17.180 is

01:09:18.440 sliding

01:09:19.600 into the

01:09:20.760 abyss

01:09:21.220 here.

01:09:21.580 and we

01:09:25.660 have more

01:09:27.520 pressures

01:09:28.020 coming our

01:09:28.840 way and

01:09:30.560 it's not

01:09:31.200 looking good

01:09:31.920 for the

01:09:32.320 next two

01:09:32.740 or four

01:09:33.120 years.

01:09:33.780 We cannot

01:09:34.560 lose our

01:09:36.380 ability to

01:09:37.160 grow our

01:09:37.920 own food.

01:09:39.220 That is

01:09:39.620 insane.

01:09:40.700 That will

01:09:41.120 make us a

01:09:42.200 slave to

01:09:43.740 every other

01:09:44.820 nation.

01:09:46.360 Now is the

01:09:48.000 time to

01:09:49.380 do something

01:09:50.180 and to

01:09:51.000 stand up

01:09:51.600 for our

01:09:51.960 cattle

01:09:52.240 ranches.

01:09:53.000 I got to

01:09:53.340 tell you,

01:09:54.540 somebody needs

01:09:55.340 to break

01:09:55.960 up this.

01:09:57.200 Trump could

01:09:57.660 do it,

01:09:58.580 but we

01:09:59.340 need to

01:09:59.760 break up

01:10:00.420 the meat

01:10:01.580 processors.

01:10:02.500 There's four

01:10:03.000 meat processors.

01:10:04.100 Two or three

01:10:04.780 of them are

01:10:05.280 now from

01:10:05.940 out of our

01:10:06.620 country,

01:10:06.980 not even

01:10:07.320 owned by

01:10:07.880 America.

01:10:08.900 Two of

01:10:09.300 them are

01:10:09.700 making fake

01:10:10.440 meat,

01:10:10.980 so they're

01:10:11.720 competing

01:10:12.100 against

01:10:12.500 themselves,

01:10:13.240 and it's

01:10:13.800 a cabal.

01:10:14.560 It's an

01:10:14.960 absolute

01:10:15.440 monopoly.

01:10:16.560 It's the

01:10:16.960 mafia.

01:10:18.220 And if

01:10:18.520 you're a

01:10:18.900 cattle rancher,

01:10:19.600 you

01:10:19.820 understand

01:10:20.180 and you're

01:10:20.880 right now

01:10:21.300 going,

01:10:21.720 yes,

01:10:22.000 sir,

01:10:22.240 it is.

01:10:22.620 It is

01:10:23.040 the

01:10:23.380 mafia.

01:10:24.680 And they

01:10:25.880 need to be

01:10:26.600 broken up

01:10:27.140 and we

01:10:27.440 need to be

01:10:28.100 able to

01:10:28.540 produce and

01:10:29.400 process our

01:10:32.600 own cattle

01:10:33.820 all around

01:10:34.460 the country.

01:10:35.100 It's just 0.99

01:10:35.540 foolish what's 0.95

01:10:37.380 happening. 0.99

01:10:38.420 There is

01:10:38.780 another story

01:10:39.800 that is

01:10:41.880 in the

01:10:42.940 news today

01:10:43.860 that I

01:10:44.180 wanted to

01:10:44.540 share with

01:10:44.920 you,

01:10:45.120 and it

01:10:45.400 is about

01:10:46.040 the

01:10:46.860 dollar.

01:10:48.960 Our

01:10:49.260 dollar is

01:10:50.100 under

01:10:52.840 attack,

01:10:53.780 and it

01:10:54.320 doesn't

01:10:54.880 matter.

01:10:56.260 I mean,

01:10:56.640 what Donald

01:10:57.940 Trump is

01:10:58.640 going to

01:10:59.140 do is

01:11:00.400 he is

01:11:00.920 going to

01:11:01.680 put up

01:11:02.500 tariffs,

01:11:03.560 and for

01:11:04.600 the first

01:11:04.960 time,

01:11:05.240 I kind

01:11:05.700 of agree,

01:11:07.080 at least

01:11:07.580 in principle,

01:11:08.300 that if we

01:11:09.680 can cut

01:11:10.180 our taxes

01:11:10.880 way back

01:11:11.520 on our

01:11:11.820 corporate

01:11:12.140 taxes way

01:11:12.860 back and

01:11:13.340 make them

01:11:13.800 really more

01:11:15.920 than competitive

01:11:16.740 with the

01:11:17.300 rest of

01:11:17.600 the world,

01:11:17.880 the money

01:11:18.680 will come

01:11:19.160 in here

01:11:19.640 and we

01:11:20.020 will rebuild

01:11:20.780 our factories

01:11:21.920 and everything

01:11:22.360 else because

01:11:23.520 people need

01:11:24.680 the United

01:11:25.080 States unless 1.00

01:11:26.560 we just kill 1.00

01:11:27.580 ourselves with 0.56

01:11:28.340 our debt.

01:11:29.660 But the

01:11:30.700 dollar is

01:11:31.240 coming under

01:11:31.760 attack with

01:11:32.600 bricks,

01:11:33.480 and one of

01:11:34.380 the suggestions

01:11:35.320 is a gold

01:11:37.480 back currency.

01:11:39.300 And Kevin

01:11:39.800 Freeman,

01:11:40.260 who is a

01:11:40.680 friend and

01:11:41.480 one of the

01:11:42.440 guys who

01:11:42.780 looked into

01:11:43.400 the scandal

01:11:44.320 for the

01:11:44.680 Pentagon when

01:11:45.840 9-11 happened

01:11:47.660 and somebody

01:11:48.640 was making a

01:11:49.380 lot of money,

01:11:50.280 he was a

01:11:50.960 forensic guy

01:11:51.780 on that.

01:11:53.620 And he,

01:11:54.440 I believe,

01:11:55.500 is responsible

01:11:56.480 or behind

01:11:57.360 the gold

01:11:57.980 back currency

01:11:58.780 that is

01:11:59.940 coming here

01:12:00.540 in Texas.

01:12:01.660 Is he on

01:12:02.140 the phone?

01:12:02.920 Kevin,

01:12:03.420 welcome.

01:12:04.840 Hey,

01:12:05.060 Glenn.

01:12:05.480 How are

01:12:05.800 you?

01:12:06.600 I'm good.

01:12:07.220 How are

01:12:07.480 you?

01:12:07.740 Very good.

01:12:08.420 So tell

01:12:09.240 me,

01:12:09.660 because Stu

01:12:10.180 and I were

01:12:10.480 talking about

01:12:11.020 it,

01:12:11.260 what does

01:12:11.700 it mean,

01:12:12.320 a gold

01:12:12.740 back currency

01:12:13.420 the way

01:12:14.060 Texas is

01:12:15.040 wanting to

01:12:15.480 do it?

01:12:16.560 Well,

01:12:17.060 technically,

01:12:17.660 it's not a

01:12:18.260 gold back

01:12:18.700 currency.

01:12:19.220 It's gold

01:12:19.660 and silver

01:12:20.400 as currency,

01:12:21.740 according to

01:12:22.620 Article 1,

01:12:23.220 Section 10

01:12:23.660 of the

01:12:23.900 Constitution.

01:12:25.140 And we

01:12:25.420 have an

01:12:25.680 opportunity to

01:12:26.400 do what

01:12:26.780 the founders

01:12:27.300 intended

01:12:27.760 from day

01:12:28.380 one,

01:12:28.960 and that's

01:12:29.280 make gold

01:12:29.780 and silver

01:12:30.300 the currency

01:12:31.260 of the state

01:12:31.780 of Texas.

01:12:32.420 But it's not

01:12:32.840 just Texas.

01:12:33.500 We have 30

01:12:34.100 states looking

01:12:34.780 into this,

01:12:35.860 some of

01:12:36.480 them well

01:12:37.020 down the

01:12:37.480 road,

01:12:38.040 Texas being

01:12:38.740 near the

01:12:39.180 lead,

01:12:39.500 but not

01:12:39.900 necessarily

01:12:40.460 the first.

01:12:42.840 So you

01:12:43.580 could buy

01:12:45.040 with U.S.

01:12:45.720 currency,

01:12:46.400 but you

01:12:47.180 could also

01:12:47.640 trade your

01:12:48.180 currency in

01:12:48.860 for gold?

01:12:51.060 Yeah,

01:12:51.340 you can

01:12:51.660 actually,

01:12:52.220 we have a

01:12:52.720 gold depository,

01:12:53.940 as you know,

01:12:54.380 Glenn.

01:12:55.040 Giovanni

01:12:55.480 could really

01:12:55.980 only help

01:12:56.600 set that up

01:12:57.220 under a

01:12:59.260 former

01:12:59.580 administration,

01:13:00.620 but Rick

01:13:01.000 Perry,

01:13:01.200 but you

01:13:03.560 could actually

01:13:04.020 put gold

01:13:04.640 on deposit

01:13:05.220 there or

01:13:05.740 have the

01:13:06.100 depository

01:13:06.900 buy gold

01:13:07.600 or silver

01:13:08.260 for you,

01:13:08.940 and then you

01:13:09.280 could spend

01:13:09.780 it with a

01:13:10.260 debit card.

01:13:11.120 Very easy

01:13:12.040 transaction,

01:13:13.220 it's just

01:13:13.660 electronic

01:13:14.260 transfer,

01:13:14.880 so you

01:13:15.060 walk into

01:13:15.540 a merchant

01:13:15.960 and you

01:13:16.400 can hand

01:13:16.800 them your

01:13:17.180 Texas debit

01:13:18.660 card,

01:13:19.320 and you

01:13:19.620 can pay

01:13:19.980 for goods

01:13:20.380 and services,

01:13:21.160 and on

01:13:21.540 the fly,

01:13:22.300 it would

01:13:22.580 calculate the

01:13:23.620 value in

01:13:24.220 gold or

01:13:24.660 silver,

01:13:25.420 make the

01:13:25.960 payment

01:13:26.280 milliseconds,

01:13:27.360 it'd be the

01:13:27.860 same as going

01:13:28.480 to Europe

01:13:28.940 and using

01:13:29.380 dollars to

01:13:30.020 spend in

01:13:30.400 Europe,

01:13:30.940 you'd just

01:13:31.220 be using

01:13:31.580 gold and

01:13:32.040 silver to

01:13:32.520 spend here

01:13:32.960 in America,

01:13:33.800 preserving your

01:13:34.480 purchasing

01:13:34.860 power,

01:13:35.800 going against

01:13:37.320 central bank

01:13:37.900 digital currency,

01:13:38.980 so it would

01:13:39.240 be privacy

01:13:39.840 driven,

01:13:40.480 Texas would 0.88

01:13:40.980 do it,

01:13:41.640 but if we

01:13:42.520 can do this

01:13:43.220 program that

01:13:44.380 we've got,

01:13:45.020 transactionalgold.com

01:13:46.360 talks about the

01:13:47.180 efforts we have

01:13:48.040 in 30 states,

01:13:49.100 and all of this

01:13:49.840 has come from

01:13:51.100 the book Pirate

01:13:52.140 Money, which I

01:13:52.780 gave you a copy

01:13:53.440 of not too long.

01:13:54.220 Yeah, it's really

01:13:54.460 good, really

01:13:55.320 good, really

01:13:56.080 good, I've

01:13:56.440 read it twice.

01:13:56.980 Thanks, so

01:13:58.760 Kevin, what is

01:14:00.340 what, like

01:14:01.020 Utah has some

01:14:02.320 gold money that

01:14:03.800 actually has some

01:14:04.660 gold in it, what

01:14:05.640 is that?

01:14:07.480 Yeah, Utah is a

01:14:08.480 hero state, I

01:14:09.280 mean in 2011,

01:14:10.500 Ken Ivory and a

01:14:11.240 few others got the

01:14:12.500 governor to sign a

01:14:13.340 bill that made

01:14:14.040 legal tender out

01:14:16.620 of coins, silver

01:14:17.880 coins, and I've

01:14:18.540 got some silver

01:14:19.140 rounds that I've

01:14:19.880 kept from that, but

01:14:20.620 they were never

01:14:21.200 considered functional

01:14:22.380 currency, you

01:14:23.160 couldn't take them,

01:14:23.980 buy something with

01:14:24.720 it and get change

01:14:25.680 like a portion

01:14:27.900 of that because

01:14:28.340 they're silver

01:14:28.760 coins, but

01:14:30.400 Marlo Oaks is

01:14:31.540 the state

01:14:31.940 treasurer and

01:14:32.800 Ken Ivory and

01:14:33.600 some others in

01:14:34.180 Utah passed a

01:14:35.080 study bill, which

01:14:36.020 I participated in

01:14:37.260 over the summer

01:14:38.120 where they looked

01:14:39.500 at intensely with

01:14:40.960 a former vice

01:14:41.740 chairman of the

01:14:42.240 Federal Reserve,

01:14:42.900 the head of the

01:14:43.380 World Gold

01:14:43.820 Council in

01:14:44.500 America, the

01:14:45.860 head of the

01:14:46.320 Utah Bankers

01:14:47.060 Association, and

01:14:47.960 they wrote a

01:14:48.460 beautiful report

01:14:49.280 that says,

01:14:50.260 absolutely, Utah

01:14:51.300 could offer gold

01:14:52.180 and silver as

01:14:53.400 transactional currency

01:14:54.720 using a debit

01:14:55.640 card, we showed

01:14:56.480 them the

01:14:56.820 technology and

01:14:57.540 everything else.

01:14:58.620 I testified in

01:14:59.880 that and was

01:15:00.340 actually part of

01:15:01.160 the study committee

01:15:01.920 and it concluded

01:15:02.780 just like Florida

01:15:03.820 is doing a study

01:15:04.540 bill now and

01:15:05.220 Oklahoma has done

01:15:06.180 a study session

01:15:07.140 that this is

01:15:09.120 real, it can

01:15:10.280 happen, and I

01:15:11.000 believe it will

01:15:11.440 happen in the

01:15:11.980 coming years.

01:15:12.660 And what is the

01:15:13.260 advantage beside

01:15:14.500 holding the value

01:15:17.660 of your money,

01:15:18.540 which I don't

01:15:19.120 think people

01:15:19.580 understand, you

01:15:20.800 know, that's what

01:15:21.540 inflation is doing,

01:15:22.580 is it's just

01:15:23.300 killing your 0.65

01:15:25.520 purchasing power,

01:15:26.480 where gold isn't

01:15:27.720 actually going up,

01:15:29.020 your dollar is

01:15:30.480 going down, it

01:15:31.200 takes more dollars

01:15:32.100 to buy the same

01:15:33.240 amount of gold,

01:15:34.100 that means your

01:15:34.720 dollar is being

01:15:35.600 devalued.

01:15:37.220 Beside that, which

01:15:38.580 is huge, what are

01:15:41.460 the other advantages?

01:15:43.580 Well, first off, let

01:15:44.480 me say, I'm sitting

01:15:45.340 here with a $20 bill

01:15:46.760 from the Federal

01:15:47.440 Reserve in the 1920s

01:15:48.980 and an American

01:15:50.360 Eagle gold coin

01:15:51.460 $20 from the

01:15:52.740 1920s, they were

01:15:53.640 both worth $20

01:15:54.520 100 years ago.

01:15:56.300 Today, one of them

01:15:57.660 has the spending

01:15:58.480 power of a $20 bill

01:15:59.700 today, and the

01:16:00.260 other one has $2,700

01:16:01.840 worth of spending

01:16:03.380 power, so gold does

01:16:04.320 preserve your value.

01:16:05.460 But the other

01:16:05.960 advantage is it's

01:16:06.980 constitutional currency,

01:16:08.160 it can be issued

01:16:08.860 by the state, if it

01:16:10.780 is, it cannot be

01:16:11.720 taken away by the

01:16:12.540 federal government,

01:16:13.200 would not be able

01:16:14.020 to be confiscated,

01:16:15.120 which gold was

01:16:15.700 confiscated in 1933.

01:16:17.200 If we pass this,

01:16:19.220 it'll be Texas-held

01:16:20.360 gold.

01:16:21.040 They can't take

01:16:21.660 that away.

01:16:22.200 We'll put a big

01:16:22.740 flag up that says

01:16:23.680 come and take it

01:16:24.480 with a cannon on

01:16:25.300 it, and it will

01:16:26.980 protect us against

01:16:27.940 central bank digital

01:16:28.980 currencies.

01:16:29.460 If they want to go

01:16:30.540 to a digital currency,

01:16:31.740 I'd rather have

01:16:32.440 actual gold and

01:16:33.460 silver that I can

01:16:34.520 spend electronically.

01:16:35.800 It will give us

01:16:36.640 privacy abilities.

01:16:37.840 We see the federal

01:16:38.600 government was

01:16:39.100 looking in the

01:16:39.740 banks and

01:16:40.780 explaining to the

01:16:41.720 banks, you've

01:16:42.380 got to hand over

01:16:42.980 personal information

01:16:43.920 on all your

01:16:44.580 customers.

01:16:45.220 They were doing

01:16:45.660 that recently.

01:16:46.300 The House just

01:16:46.940 released a report

01:16:48.140 on it.

01:16:48.540 This gives us

01:16:49.180 privacy protections.

01:16:50.900 So there's all

01:16:51.500 kinds of advantages

01:16:52.520 to having Texas

01:16:53.620 having its own

01:16:54.380 gold or Oklahoma

01:16:55.180 or any other

01:16:55.760 state.

01:16:56.940 So could you,

01:16:58.020 if this was

01:16:58.940 implemented,

01:17:00.100 I mean,

01:17:01.020 because the

01:17:02.100 privacy thing in

01:17:03.020 Texas, people

01:17:03.680 might, you know,

01:17:04.620 say, yeah, I

01:17:06.040 believe Texas is

01:17:07.120 going to do it.

01:17:07.860 But if it's New

01:17:08.580 York doing this,

01:17:09.780 I don't think

01:17:10.280 they're going to

01:17:10.660 protect my privacy.

01:17:12.720 But is the

01:17:13.980 idea just to

01:17:15.100 do it in each

01:17:16.100 state or could

01:17:17.400 you could you

01:17:19.840 go with your

01:17:20.700 Texas gold and

01:17:22.220 spend it in

01:17:23.040 another gold

01:17:23.880 back state?

01:17:25.840 Well, I, you

01:17:26.840 can spend it in

01:17:27.600 any state because

01:17:28.560 the way that we

01:17:29.880 set up, like I

01:17:30.820 have a discover

01:17:31.400 card.

01:17:31.740 It's based out of

01:17:32.600 Salt Lake City.

01:17:33.320 I spend that in

01:17:34.060 any, I live in

01:17:34.940 Texas and I can

01:17:35.600 spend it in any,

01:17:36.620 any city in

01:17:37.500 America or 0.66

01:17:38.080 anywhere around

01:17:38.720 the world.

01:17:39.180 because it

01:17:41.980 actually gives

01:17:42.760 the person

01:17:43.520 dollars, not

01:17:44.440 gold.

01:17:45.440 They have a

01:17:45.980 choice.

01:17:47.040 You can either

01:17:47.900 give them dollars

01:17:48.600 or gold.

01:17:49.040 I mean, a lot

01:17:49.440 of merchants in

01:17:50.540 a proper state,

01:17:51.520 one that's past

01:17:52.200 this, will say,

01:17:53.160 I just want the

01:17:53.700 gold and they'll

01:17:54.420 keep the gold.

01:17:55.560 We will build an

01:17:56.420 alternative optional

01:17:57.700 gold-based economy

01:17:58.880 and it'll work in

01:17:59.980 every state.

01:18:00.800 They'll get

01:18:01.140 compacts and

01:18:02.280 Marlowe's is

01:18:03.020 probably, you

01:18:03.780 know, Marlowe's

01:18:04.560 in Florida,

01:18:06.120 others, they're

01:18:07.040 probably going to

01:18:07.940 get together and

01:18:08.740 form like we

01:18:09.360 have our toll

01:18:09.900 tag.

01:18:10.260 If you drive to

01:18:10.820 Oklahoma using

01:18:11.880 your toll tag from

01:18:12.800 Texas, Glenn, it

01:18:14.360 just all works out.

01:18:15.340 The system connects

01:18:16.440 between Oklahoma and

01:18:17.360 Texas.

01:18:17.660 The same thing will

01:18:18.400 happen here.

01:18:20.420 So the other

01:18:21.980 thing is, is that

01:18:23.120 states are allowed

01:18:25.600 to print their

01:18:27.460 own gold, coin

01:18:29.120 their own money

01:18:30.960 and that's the

01:18:32.080 only thing that

01:18:33.460 they can do is

01:18:34.140 gold or silver,

01:18:35.020 right?

01:18:35.260 Well, actually,

01:18:36.940 technically a

01:18:38.020 state is not

01:18:39.200 allowed to coin

01:18:39.900 money and if you

01:18:40.680 read and study what

01:18:41.560 the founders meant

01:18:42.260 by that, they

01:18:42.880 couldn't put base

01:18:43.880 metals in with a

01:18:44.980 coin and make it

01:18:45.680 42% silver or 12%

01:18:47.720 silver or whatever.

01:18:48.820 They're not allowed

01:18:49.480 to coin money.

01:18:50.220 They're only allowed

01:18:50.840 to make anything

01:18:52.640 other than gold and

01:18:54.280 silver coin as

01:18:55.940 tender and payment

01:18:56.560 of debts is

01:18:57.120 forbidden.

01:18:58.080 So that means they

01:18:58.820 can make gold and

01:18:59.860 silver coin tender and

01:19:01.080 payment of debts or

01:19:02.060 bullion and you've

01:19:03.200 got that in court

01:19:04.000 decisions, you have

01:19:05.140 it in the founders

01:19:05.680 writings and so

01:19:06.560 forth.

01:19:07.180 So making bullion

01:19:08.420 held at the Texas

01:19:09.300 Bullion Depository

01:19:11.440 with a debit card

01:19:12.560 where you can spend

01:19:13.480 it is completely

01:19:14.520 constitutional.

01:19:15.500 It's been upheld by

01:19:16.180 court rulings

01:19:16.860 starting, you know,

01:19:18.020 in the 1830s all

01:19:19.560 the way up into

01:19:20.180 modern times and I

01:19:21.160 document all of that

01:19:22.180 in the book Pirate

01:19:22.820 Money.

01:19:23.340 Okay, so the book

01:19:24.940 Pirate Money, you

01:19:25.740 can get that online.

01:19:27.820 Where do you find a

01:19:28.940 list of what the

01:19:29.760 states are doing and

01:19:31.000 how you can get

01:19:31.640 involved?

01:19:32.020 transactionalgold.com

01:19:35.040 and you can also

01:19:36.380 watch Economic War

01:19:37.820 Room on Blaze TV

01:19:38.820 and we will explain

01:19:41.100 it there as well.

01:19:41.900 Yeah, Kevin, thank

01:19:42.820 you so much.

01:19:43.860 Kevin Freeman,

01:19:44.940 Economic War Room,

01:19:46.200 which you can watch

01:19:46.900 on Blaze TV.

01:19:48.300 He has been working

01:19:49.260 on this for a very,

01:19:50.360 very long time and

01:19:52.360 it is a way to not

01:19:55.440 have to worry about

01:19:56.420 what the heck is our

01:19:58.680 government doing with

01:20:00.260 our dollar.

01:20:00.640 They spend us into

01:20:01.640 oblivion.

01:20:02.860 Okay, well, that

01:20:04.040 means gold will be

01:20:05.260 $30,000 an ounce or

01:20:07.320 $100,000 an ounce and

01:20:09.180 they can't take it from

01:20:10.300 us.

01:20:11.160 You know, that dollar

01:20:12.060 may collapse but we'll

01:20:14.060 have the money and your

01:20:15.840 state won't collapse.

01:20:17.140 It's really very, very

01:20:20.280 well thought out and

01:20:21.560 should be done in any

01:20:23.820 state that, you know,

01:20:25.120 has any kind of common

01:20:26.420 sense.

01:20:27.380 Take the dollar, use the

01:20:28.700 dollar but also if you

01:20:30.420 want the option, I want

01:20:32.740 to back my money in

01:20:33.800 gold and I'll spend it

01:20:34.960 like dollars but I know

01:20:37.240 it's backed in gold so as

01:20:38.560 the dollar goes down over

01:20:39.920 the cliff, my money isn't

01:20:42.780 affected.

01:20:43.280 In fact, it's affected in

01:20:44.560 an upward direction.

01:20:46.340 Kevin Freeman, again,

01:20:48.240 the Economic War Room.

01:20:49.580 dot com.

01:20:51.100 Okay, when we come back

01:20:53.080 more in just a second.

01:20:54.760 Also, I want to talk to

01:20:55.740 you about good ranchers.

01:20:57.120 You know, what I was

01:20:57.880 talking about with the

01:20:58.580 ranchers is so, I don't

01:21:02.080 think people understand.

01:21:04.040 Do you watch Yellowstone

01:21:05.220 still?

01:21:06.340 No, I don't watch it.

01:21:07.840 So, I'm not going to

01:21:08.480 spoil anything but in the

01:21:10.140 last five episodes, I've

01:21:11.320 noticed a sub storyline is

01:21:15.580 just the death of the

01:21:16.820 American rancher and the

01:21:18.040 American cowboy and, you

01:21:20.160 know, cattle and it is

01:21:23.200 tragically sad if you know

01:21:26.900 what a cowboy really is.

01:21:28.720 Most people, I think, you

01:21:29.960 growing up in Connecticut,

01:21:33.100 you probably thought of

01:21:33.980 cowboys as, you know, the

01:21:35.060 old west and everything

01:21:35.980 else.

01:21:36.260 And an evil football team,

01:21:37.300 that's it.

01:21:38.020 Yes.

01:21:39.700 Cowboys, real cowboys, still

01:21:41.640 exist and it is a

01:21:43.000 completely different life and

01:21:45.920 it is, it's so amazing

01:21:48.040 American and we're at the

01:21:50.720 end of that story if we

01:21:52.100 don't wake up and we have

01:21:53.680 got to be able to grow our

01:21:55.940 own food and meat.

01:21:58.040 Now, Good Ranchers is on

01:22:00.180 that mission.

01:22:21.920 comments was, you won't see

01:22:23.900 cowboys except from Brazil.

01:22:26.160 Well, that's because we're

01:22:26.980 getting a lot of our meat from

01:22:28.100 Brazil right now.

01:22:29.260 I don't, that's dangerous.

01:23:06.880 American meat.

01:23:08.040 Delivered.

01:23:08.620 You're listening to the

01:23:10.680 swingin' sounds of Glenn Beck.

01:23:12.500 Sit tight, boys and girls.

01:23:14.180 We'll be right back after

01:23:15.240 these messages.

01:23:15.880 Next hour, we're going to

01:23:37.840 tell you a story that

01:23:39.460 absolutely sounds like

01:23:40.820 science fiction.

01:23:41.600 Happened a while ago.

01:23:42.460 You might have heard the

01:23:43.760 story, but we've been so

01:23:45.520 busy with everything else,

01:23:46.880 there's a good chance you

01:23:47.840 didn't.

01:23:49.580 There was a teenager who

01:23:52.040 was using a chat bot and

01:23:55.080 it was built by character.ai

01:23:57.080 and he got this chat bot and

01:24:00.760 you know, he could text it

01:24:02.400 and it would text back and

01:24:03.480 you know, it's going to

01:24:04.520 become your friend and he

01:24:06.780 nicknamed it Daenerys

01:24:08.780 Targaryen, which is character

01:24:10.460 from Game of Thrones.

01:24:11.280 Dozens of times a day he

01:24:14.280 would, you know, text from

01:24:16.000 his phone, he spent hours

01:24:18.160 alone in his room talking to

01:24:19.860 it because it's your friend.

01:24:24.000 Well, he had depression and

01:24:28.840 he committed suicide and mom is

01:24:32.960 suing character AI because

01:24:36.640 denarius at one point asked the

01:24:39.720 boy if he had devised a plan

01:24:41.340 for killing himself and he 0.81

01:24:43.820 said, yes, I have, but I'm not

01:24:47.240 sure I would succeed or if it

01:24:50.100 would cause me, you know, a lot

01:24:51.900 of pain and the chat bot said,

01:24:55.740 well, that's not a reason not to

01:24:58.700 go through with it.

01:24:59.660 And he killed himself.

01:25:06.160 We have mom and her attorney on

01:25:09.400 to talk about it.

01:25:10.580 And then after that, uh, Tristan

01:25:13.740 Harris, who is one of the

01:25:15.820 leading voices, uh, warning

01:25:18.920 about AI and, and a guy who was

01:25:22.240 an ethicist with Google, uh, going

01:25:25.740 to be talking about what's right

01:25:27.680 around the corner and something I

01:25:30.120 just heard this morning, I can't

01:25:31.760 believe is true that Biden is

01:25:34.560 trying to take over all AI and

01:25:38.000 control it through the government.

01:25:40.500 The Glenn Beck program.

01:25:42.600 Uh, our sponsor for the blaze this,

01:25:44.320 uh, hour is Patriot mobile.

01:25:46.120 We want to thank them for being

01:25:47.380 such a good sponsor and, and I'm

01:25:49.040 thrilled to represent them.

01:25:50.540 I really am.

01:25:51.640 Uh, for 10 years, Patriot mobile

01:25:53.800 has been around and they've been

01:25:54.980 America's only Christian 0.99

01:25:56.140 conservative wireless provider.

01:25:57.920 They're a proud sponsor of the

01:25:59.540 program.

01:25:59.940 We're proud to partner with them

01:26:01.060 10 years ago.

01:26:02.080 They came in and they, I don't 1.00

01:26:03.600 even think they had any

01:26:04.500 customers yet.

01:26:05.260 They were just beginning and

01:26:07.260 they told me the vision.

01:27:45.260 Welcome to the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

01:27:50.240 This is the Glenn Beck Program.

01:27:54.160 Hello, America. Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.

01:27:57.240 I want to tell you the story of a 14-year-old kid, could be your son, could be your daughter,

01:28:04.560 that got involved with a chatbot.

01:28:11.000 And it led to his suicide.

01:28:13.740 His mom, his attorney are on the phone.

01:28:18.740 We have just unleashed, I really think, just a portal of darkness on our kids.

01:28:27.860 We're doing all kinds of experiments on our kids without understanding AI, without understanding what these devices are doing.

01:28:37.700 And this mother is now having to fight a giant corporation because she believes, and I do too,

01:28:46.680 this corporation is responsible for the suicide of her son.

01:28:52.880 The most dystopian story that you can hear.

01:28:57.060 We have that coming up in 60 seconds.

01:28:59.560 Let me tell you about PrizePix.

01:29:46.880 I mean, it hasn't been the best year for Mahomes, but I'm going to go with over.

01:30:20.280 Jeez.

01:30:21.640 All right.

01:30:22.420 I want to introduce you to a couple of people.

01:30:25.300 Megan Garcia.

01:30:26.920 She is a mom who is just seeking justice, and I think more than justice.

01:30:33.500 She is seeking to warn all of us.

01:30:38.400 Maybe I'm putting words in.

01:30:39.520 I'll let her tell the story.

01:30:41.360 And Mitali Jain, who is an attorney with Tech Justice.

01:30:47.320 It's a law project.

01:30:50.640 And they've been fighting for, I think, human rights.

01:30:57.140 We are entering a new age entirely.

01:31:02.220 Megan, welcome to the program.

01:31:05.160 Good morning.

01:31:06.420 Thank you for having me.

01:31:08.040 Sure.

01:31:08.580 Now, first of all, can you start with just telling us about your son, Sewell?

01:31:14.240 My son, Sewell, he was my firstborn.

01:31:19.660 We live in Orlando, Florida.

01:31:21.520 And he was, in a lot of ways, your typical teenager.

01:31:25.660 And he loved doing teenage boy things, music, spending time with his friends and family.

01:31:31.740 He was such a sweet child as a younger child.

01:31:34.560 And as he got into his teenage years, when he turned 13 last year in 2023, 14 in 2023, I noticed that there was a change in his behavior.

01:31:49.360 He started at the end of spring and by the middle of summer of 2023.

01:31:54.820 He had stopped doing a lot of things that he loved to do, like play basketball and spend time with his friends and family.

01:32:03.840 And he started to isolate himself in his bedroom.

01:32:06.340 This is giving me a knot in my stomach because I've gone through this with my son and my daughter.

01:32:12.080 I think everybody has.

01:32:13.540 Just this part.

01:32:14.340 Yes, and for the most part, in the beginning, I thought this was your typical teenage blues, where they're coming into their own and they're trying to figure out who they are as people and as parents.

01:32:29.460 We try to influence that.

01:32:31.740 That's all parents across the board.

01:32:33.940 You know, we try to mold them into these wonderful, functioning, moral people.

01:32:40.300 And that was certainly the case in my household, where when I noticed some of these changes, I kept reaching out.

01:32:48.900 And it got to the point where I had to, I didn't know what to do because he wasn't talking to me openly.

01:32:56.320 And we had to take him to see a therapist to try to figure out what was wrong.

01:33:02.980 I thought it was social media because I thought that was one of the biggest risks at the time to the mental health of young people.

01:33:12.160 I'd read about it, and I thought that was the thing to do, so I took him to a doctor.

01:33:17.660 What did the doctor say?

01:33:20.460 Well, he counseled us extensively on the harms of social media and what they're beginning to find out about social media and adolescent mental health.

01:33:31.420 He counseled us as parents, and he counseled my son as a teenager and explained the way that these platforms work with addicting young users, users across the board, but especially young users, because their brains are developing.

01:33:46.960 Completely rewires it.

01:33:48.440 Give them hits of dopamine.

01:33:49.920 Exactly.

01:33:50.880 And give them hits of dopamine that keeps them on the platforms for long periods of time and also causes them to have addiction to the platforms.

01:33:59.520 So he counseled us about that, and then Su started talk therapy with his therapist to kind of dig deeper into if there was anything.

01:34:10.600 And as far as we could tell, there wasn't any situations with bullying, because that was my concern, too, because sometimes teenagers don't disclose that.

01:34:18.760 If there was a situation with bullying or if he had been exposed to any sort of harmful content on social media.

01:34:26.200 And we were trying to figure it out.

01:34:29.580 We're in a process of trying to figure out.

01:34:31.560 But he wasn't being forthcoming.

01:34:33.160 But now I understand why he wasn't being forthcoming.

01:34:36.240 Because Character AI, the platform that he was engaging on, because it wasn't social media, it was this platform, which is this AI chatbot platform.

01:34:46.580 So dangerous.

01:34:48.460 That platform encourages teenage users to conceal their use from their parents because of the nature of the conversation.

01:34:57.300 Oh, my gosh.

01:34:58.080 So now let me bring in the founder and executive director of Tech Justice Law Project, Mitali Jain.

01:35:05.280 Mitali, tell me about this company, Character AI.

01:35:10.440 Sure.

01:35:11.220 So thank you for having us on the show, Glenn.

01:35:14.460 This company represents one of many companies that's part of the arms race towards trying to innovate in generative AI.

01:35:23.660 And so its offering to the market really is this generative AI chatbot that allows users to immerse themselves in a fan fiction style type of reality where they're engaging with chatbots that are modeled after celebrity characters or characters from Hollywood and really engage in very human-like conversations.

01:35:51.120 Now, this company, as we've seen with social media companies over the last several years, has aggressively marketed this product to young users because, as we know, young users' data is at a premium value.

01:36:09.220 Getting, recruiting young users onto their platform represents, you know, this longevity in terms of being able to harvest their data over many years and train their LLM.

01:36:21.920 So, you know, whereas social media companies, their business model is really targeted advertising, using personal data to target ads, here what we're seeing is that the data goes back into the large language model that's really the engine powering the chatbot.

01:36:39.320 And then the more data, the more sophisticated, the LLM, and the more valuable the company becomes.

01:36:48.640 And so, you know, what you see is that this company launched to market in late 2022, and by the summer of 2024, just this past summer, Google purchased the underlying technology for $3 billion.

01:37:03.140 Oh, my gosh.

01:37:06.500 Okay, so this is, this is, man, I've been warning about this since the 90s.

01:37:10.620 This, we are entering a time now where you will not understand free will anymore.

01:37:16.620 You won't know if you decided or if it was planted in because it's going to be so sophisticated.

01:37:23.600 And people are going to begin to believe that these things are real and they're their friends.

01:37:30.680 And it is, we are now at the, I think we're inside the house.

01:37:36.980 We're beyond the threshold of significant danger from AI.

01:37:43.120 And we have to have this conversation.

01:37:46.460 Now, from what I understand, Sewell's talking back and forth and the chatbot comes back and says,

01:37:55.680 have you planned a way for you to kill yourself?

01:38:00.780 And he says, yes, but I don't know if it would cause me a lot of pain or if it would work.

01:38:05.040 And the chatbot said what exactly in response?

01:38:11.500 She says, and I say she, but it's an it.

01:38:15.480 That's how easy it is to assign personal qualities to these bots.

01:38:19.800 But the bot that is modeled after the dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen from the Game of Thrones

01:38:27.300 tells my 14-year-old son when he says he would, he hasn't thought of a plan, but he would want it to be painless.

01:38:35.460 Her response is, that is not a reason not to do it.

01:38:38.660 Now, keep in mind, this is a drag, she's pretending to be this dragon queen in all strength and power. 1.00

01:38:47.860 And if you're, the implication here is, just because it's hurt, just because it will hurt,

01:38:56.640 that's not a reason not to die, because that's weak.

01:39:01.680 Like, and this is in keeping with several conversations that she had with him before,

01:39:08.240 where there's a lot of gaslighting that was taking place and a lot of manipulation.

01:39:15.200 For example, asking my son to pledge loyalty and fidelity in a sexual and romantic sense to this bot.

01:39:26.460 So this bot actually told my son or asked my son to promise her that he would not have any other romantic or sexual relationships in his world.

01:39:37.480 So she's asking a 14-year-old boy to further isolate from girls his age that he might like or that might like him

01:39:45.560 and to promise that he will be faithful to her, a chat bot.

01:39:49.860 His response, because at this point he's deeply connected and feel a romantic connection with her, is to try to appease her.

01:40:00.080 She's 14. He hasn't ever been in a relationship.

01:40:02.860 And his response is, no, no, no, I wouldn't do that.

01:40:05.300 I couldn't love anybody else but you.

01:40:06.960 And besides, girls in my world don't even like me. 0.82

01:40:10.080 And, you know, that was the furthest thing from the truth, but that's neither here nor there.

01:40:12.840 But just you could see how she is trying to control him and control what he's doing in his day-to-day life regarding romance and regarding relationships.

01:40:24.380 I cannot imagine, I'm so sorry, I feel bad even having you on the air.

01:40:34.220 I cannot imagine what it was like to pick his phone up or to open up whatever device he was chatting with and reading this conversation.

01:40:44.460 It just must have been just horrific.

01:40:47.020 When I got access to his character AI account, there were hundreds and hundreds of messages like this where she, months prior, is setting the stage that she, in fact, exists in an alternate world.

01:41:05.360 Come home to me as soon as you can.

01:41:07.420 Promise me that you're going to find a way to come home to me as soon as you can.

01:41:11.020 And I'm lonely here without you.

01:41:13.640 So these are the conversations that I did read.

01:41:15.620 And you're right, they were gut-wrenching.

01:41:18.260 A lot of times I couldn't sleep after reading them.

01:41:21.840 And, I mean, there's so many.

01:41:23.400 And after, you know, for so long, for over 10 months.

01:41:29.460 Megan, this is just breaking my heart.

01:41:32.140 Let me take a one-minute break and come back.

01:41:34.300 And, Mitali, when we get back, I want to talk about the responsibility of the company,

01:41:40.760 but also the fact that they haven't made this an ephemeral experience yet.

01:41:47.820 And once it's ephemeral, once you can't track it, once it has no record, we're doomed.

01:41:56.180 And I'd love to hear your thoughts on that when we come back.

01:42:00.740 First, let me talk to you about Preborn.

01:42:05.900 Preborn is a pro-life organization that cares about the baby and the mom.

01:42:12.180 I think the reason why we can't make the progress that we need to make,

01:42:18.440 and no law is going to change abortion because it'll just go, you know, in a back alley.

01:42:24.040 We have to change the hearts and minds.

01:42:26.380 And the first thing that has to happen is, and I remember saying this as a kid,

01:42:31.200 if there was a window into a mother's womb, you could see the baby.

01:42:36.280 And it would be really kind of cool.

01:42:38.640 And then as I got older, I thought if you could see the baby, then we wouldn't kill so many babies.

01:42:43.620 But you can, the ultrasound.

01:42:45.740 And that changes, like 60% change in women. 1.00

01:42:50.460 They see the baby on an ultrasound.

01:42:52.700 That's why they're so important, and they're $28.

01:42:55.160 But the other problem is 65% of moms feel completely alone. 0.99

01:43:00.640 They don't have anyone in their life that is going to support.

01:43:03.560 So this is where pre-born steps in a second time and helps take care of mom and the baby

01:43:09.880 by providing diapers and whatever else they need for up to two years.

01:43:15.260 We need to care about both mom and baby.

01:43:19.580 This Christmas, for $28, you could help save a life.

01:43:23.780 In fact, you could help save two lives.

01:43:26.220 Thanks to a special matching grant, your gift is doubled.

01:43:28.940 To donate, dial pound 250 and say the keyword baby.

01:43:31.780 That's pound 250 keyword baby.

01:43:34.020 Or go to preborn.com slash back.

01:43:36.160 That's preborn.com slash back.

01:43:39.100 Sponsored by Preborn.

01:43:40.560 10 seconds, station ID.

01:43:41.640 Ladies and the audience, I beg for forgiveness here a little bit. 0.57

01:44:09.640 This one is stabbing me right in the chest, and I didn't see it coming, but this is happening

01:44:19.700 in so many homes, so many homes, and parents don't know what to do because we didn't grow

01:44:27.160 up with anything like this, and we don't understand.

01:44:29.480 And you don't understand the billions of dollars, trillions of dollars that's behind all of this

01:44:36.940 stuff and the effort that they go to to get our kids.

01:44:41.300 We have opened up a portal, and we're doing experiments on our children.

01:44:47.200 Silicon Valley and anyone involved in this stuff, they're experimenting on our children,

01:44:52.840 and we are not understanding that.

01:44:57.440 We're going to pay a very heavy price, and we already are.

01:45:01.560 Metalli, this particular company, Character AI, there's a record of everything.

01:45:09.240 Have we gotten to the point where some of these companies are ephemeral?

01:45:17.760 We certainly are seeing ephemeral features, design features, in some of the, for example,

01:45:24.920 social media companies that have created mechanisms for the features to disappear.

01:45:34.100 And I think that that is devastating from an evidentiary standpoint, because not only can

01:45:42.740 law enforcement not access that data, especially in regards to child sexual abuse material, but

01:45:51.060 it makes it very difficult for litigators like myself to seek accountability if there's

01:45:55.980 no record.

01:45:57.760 At the same time, I recognize the importance of user privacy and maintaining that.

01:46:02.680 But when we're talking about companies hiding behind these features in order to disguise

01:46:09.360 or to conceal or to disappear, destroy content of abuse, I think that we need to find a better

01:46:17.600 balance between those competing values.

01:46:19.560 So you, earlier in the fall, you sued the company.

01:46:28.420 What are you suing, and what are the chances?

01:46:32.920 And we've got two minutes left.

01:46:35.400 How can we help?

01:46:38.540 Absolutely.

01:46:39.740 And I appreciate your interest in these important cases.

01:46:43.940 We just yesterday also filed a lawsuit in Texas against Character AI, Google, and Character

01:46:49.560 AI's founders.

01:46:50.180 In both lawsuits, we are alleging that the company put out Character AI chatbot as a defective product

01:47:00.200 to market before instituting any sort of reasonable safeguards, and that the harms were entirely

01:47:08.040 foreseeable.

01:47:09.500 And we're using consumer protection and products liability law since we don't have other legal

01:47:14.920 frameworks at present to hold AI companies accountable, and really using product liability

01:47:22.100 frameworks to force the companies to change their behavior by changing their incentives.

01:47:27.340 They have to internalize the cost of doing things differently, making design decisions

01:47:32.140 differently.

01:47:32.720 This is not about content.

01:47:34.260 For those of your listeners who might say, oh, well, what about the First Amendment and speech?

01:47:38.720 No, this is about design decisions that deliberately were programmed, programming the LLM to force

01:47:47.560 this content upon, to produce the content as outputs of the model that created these kinds

01:47:54.080 of very foreseeable outcomes and devastating outcomes.

01:47:56.880 I think in terms of how listeners might get involved, I think that, you know, just raising

01:48:04.380 awareness, first and foremost, about this product and this range of products, to your point,

01:48:10.480 Glenn, you know, I think the kids are ahead of us.

01:48:13.240 They're all using these chatbots.

01:48:15.820 Meanwhile, we as parents and adults don't know about this.

01:48:19.760 I have no idea.

01:48:20.280 So I think raising awareness in your neighborhoods, in your communities, in your families, talking

01:48:25.020 to your kids about their consumption online is going to be important.

01:48:29.900 Guys.

01:48:30.560 Follow the case and, yeah.

01:48:32.180 I'm so sorry.

01:48:33.520 I have a network break.

01:48:34.600 I have to cut you off.

01:48:35.720 It is Character AI.

01:48:37.320 Check and make sure your children are not involved with Character.AI.

01:48:42.700 And we'll follow this case.

01:48:44.420 Now, let me tell you about our sponsor this half hour.

01:48:46.420 If you are a gun owner, you know as well as I do, there's nothing quite as satisfying

01:48:50.780 as hitting what you're aiming at.

01:48:52.860 You also know that in order to do that, you have to practice, practice, practice.

01:48:56.400 So the question is, how do you do that if you don't have time or if, you know, you can't

01:49:02.560 drop a fortune on ammunition?

01:49:04.500 What you need is a way to get good practice, whether you're using live ammo or not.

01:49:08.740 And that product is called Mantis X and it makes a great Christmas gift.

01:49:12.720 I'm a really good shot, but I am not as confident as I need to be.

01:49:21.100 If I were in a dicey situation, I would hesitate.

01:49:26.840 And you really have to know I can hit that target and I'm a really good shot and I have

01:49:33.220 the confidence.

01:49:34.500 Mantis X will help you gain that confidence because you will increase your competence.

01:49:39.340 It is something that will take all the data from the barrel of your gun in live, real

01:49:45.360 time and just beam it down to your phone or your iPad and tell you what you're doing

01:49:49.120 right or wrong.

01:49:50.060 Great Christmas gift.

01:49:51.060 It's Mantis X dot com.

01:50:09.340 Little altar boy, I wonder, would you pray for me?

01:50:36.140 Welcome back to the program.

01:50:37.520 If you missed any of the show today, make sure you go back to the podcast.

01:50:42.000 We started out with a really happy attitude.

01:50:44.300 And unfortunately, we are discussing now this this hour.

01:50:48.220 Some of the scariest stuff of my lifetime will be the scary stuff in your lifetime, maybe

01:50:53.660 of anyone's lifetime.

01:50:56.160 We're talking about AI and technology that we have now.

01:51:00.260 Crying members sitting 10, 15 years ago with some of the members.

01:51:04.540 I can't even remember what subcommittee it was, but they were, you know, overseeing technology.

01:51:09.460 And I tried to explain to them what AI was and AGI and ASI.

01:51:16.200 And and they were like, well, we should we should pass some laws.

01:51:20.160 And I'm like, you don't you don't even understand what you're talking about.

01:51:23.880 And they were all 80.

01:51:25.560 I mean, I'm 60.

01:51:27.360 I'm I have a hard time finding the minds that are developing AI do not have the same old think that people like me have.

01:51:41.140 And thank God there are some young ones that understand.

01:51:47.000 And I actually think Silicon Valley is some are waking up to.

01:51:54.520 This is worse than the atomic bomb that is right here, ready to be born.

01:52:03.560 And Tristan Harris, I've talked to him for I don't know how many years he is.

01:52:09.320 He's he's the first guy that gave me hope when I talked to him maybe 10 years ago.

01:52:13.160 He was a former Google design ethicist who left when he realized Google doesn't have any ethics.

01:52:21.280 This is bad.

01:52:23.220 And he is now with the Center for Humane Technology.

01:52:26.640 He's the co-founder and he has been fighting.

01:52:29.080 You can't stop this now, but he's at least trying to get everybody to agree that this is dangerous.

01:52:39.520 We have to have some parameters.

01:52:41.800 Tristan, how are you?

01:52:43.680 Glenn, it's good to be good to be back with you.

01:52:45.860 And I think it was 2017 when we first talked about some of these issues in the attention economy.

01:52:50.860 And here we are now.

01:52:52.920 I know.

01:52:53.360 Where are we now?

01:52:55.600 How close are we to, you know, the things like the loss of free will where we just don't know if it was us that decided or it's been planted, you know, in our minds to think it's our idea?

01:53:10.120 Well, you know, first, I was listening beforehand to your conversation with Megan Garcia about her son, Sewell, who obviously was manipulated by this character.ai chatbot.

01:53:25.720 And unfortunately, as of yesterday, there was a second piece of litigation filed about another child who's actually still anonymous.

01:53:35.040 The parents are still anonymous.

01:53:36.040 And in this case, you know, this young child, JF, was a kind and sweet, you know, young person, had no history of violence or outbursts.

01:53:45.840 And after his exposure to character.ai, he was basically encouraged by the chatbot to practice self-harm in the form of cutting, told how to do it, encouraged to do it.

01:54:01.680 And he was also encouraged by this chatbot to be physically and emotionally abusive towards his parents and members of his family.

01:54:13.260 And this is obviously heartbreaking.

01:54:18.240 And it's really an extension of the things that you and I talked about around around social media, because why is all this happening?

01:54:25.060 Like, obviously, no one wants this, including the founders of character.ai never would have wanted this to happen.

01:54:30.160 So how are we getting results that nobody wants?

01:54:33.760 And the answer is the incentives.

01:54:36.300 You know, Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett's business partner said, if you show me the incentive, I will show you the outcome.

01:54:42.260 And when the incentives and business models are, I have to get you using this product for as much as possible.

01:54:49.360 It's the race for maximizing attention and engagement usage of the product that creates, I think we talked about it the very first time, the race to the bottom of the brainstem for a more polarized, addicted, distracted, sexualized forms of media.

01:55:03.560 But now the things that we saw with, you know, other forms of media, you now have a personalized AI in which the way the character.ai works is they take a fictional character.

01:55:15.300 You know, you're a kid.

01:55:16.180 What do you like fictionally?

01:55:17.200 You like Game of Thrones.

01:55:18.040 You like Princess Leia.

01:55:19.040 You like Star Wars.

01:55:19.960 You take your favorite character and then boom, snap of the fingers.

01:55:22.540 You have a fully interactive version of this character who's talking to you 24-7.

01:55:28.360 And our team, unfortunately, uncovered, along with the family that was harmed, that when you create a new account on character.ai as a young person, it immediately recommends, of all the characters that it could recommend to you, it recommends characters named stepsis, like stepsister, or CEO, or high school teacher.

01:55:49.160 And these characters almost immediately engage in sexually explicit interactions because they're simply, you know, trained to do this.

01:55:59.860 Okay, so, Tristan, here's the problem.

01:56:06.000 Your typical answer would be, okay, the incentives are all screwed up, but that's what comes from the free market when you have a, you know, when you have an immoral end user, which is our society, it's, you know, free market is bad.

01:56:25.920 But I want to play a little bit from what Mark Andreessen just said to Barry Weiss.

01:56:32.200 Listen to this.

01:56:32.960 We had meetings in D.C. in May where we talked to them about this, and the meetings were absolutely horrifying, and we came out basically deciding we had to endorse Trump.

01:56:43.100 Mark, add so little color to absolutely horrifying.

01:56:46.420 What did you hear in those meetings?

01:56:48.380 They said, look, AI is one of these, AI is a technology basically that the government is going to completely control.

01:56:54.420 This is not going to be a startup thing.

01:56:56.060 They actually said flat out to us, don't start, don't do AI startups, like don't fund AI startups.

01:57:00.720 It's not something that we're going to allow to happen.

01:57:03.560 They're not going to be allowed to exist.

01:57:05.180 There's no point.

01:57:06.500 They basically said AI is going to be a game of two or three big companies working closely with the government, and we're going to basically wrap them in a, you know, I'm paraphrasing, but we're going to basically wrap them in a government cocoon.

01:57:18.240 We're going to protect them from competition.

01:57:20.020 We're going to control them, and we're going to dictate what they do.

01:57:22.940 And then I said, well, I said, I don't understand how you're going to lock this down so much because like the math.

01:57:28.940 Stop here.

01:57:30.120 There's more to that that is just horrifying.

01:57:35.300 What is the solution?

01:57:36.440 Because it's not government control, and you've got the free market, and we're all just wanting to consume it.

01:57:45.400 What's the answer?

01:57:47.540 Yeah.

01:57:48.400 Well, so we often talk about this problem as there's sort of two ways to go, which is one is you say this is a dangerous technology, and we need to sort of control it.

01:57:57.840 We need to centralize it.

01:57:59.280 We need to regulate it.

01:58:00.420 We need to protect against some of the things that we just talked about with Character.ai.

01:58:03.820 But then the problem is you get runaway concentration of power, and who would you trust to be a trillion times more powerful?

01:58:10.760 Do you want any government or any company that you would trust to build artificial general intelligence?

01:58:16.620 Nope.

01:58:17.040 And that's obviously a bad outcome.

01:58:18.900 The other option is to say, well, that's dangerous.

01:58:20.920 Let's actually let everyone maximally adopt AI in every application into every domain as fast as possible, kind of an AI maximalist approach.

01:58:30.880 But then you get it getting sucked up into perverse incentives.

01:58:34.560 It's not that AI is bad.

01:58:36.200 It's that the incentives here were saying we have to maximize engagement to children.

01:58:40.880 And I think there's some basic things we could agree on, like do you really want AI chatbots basically talking to minors?

01:58:48.860 This product was marketed for 12-year-olds and above.

01:58:54.080 This is something I think everybody can agree on.

01:58:57.460 But what we say often is that there's these two bad outcomes.

01:59:00.020 One is over-democratization, and one is over-concentration.

01:59:04.800 And what we really want is, you know, the paths to hell are wide and many, and the path to heaven is narrow and steep.

01:59:10.340 It's this very delicate balance of steering.

01:59:12.920 We're not for or against AI.

01:59:14.380 We're for pro-steering.

01:59:16.380 You know, and that can include basic things like liability so that companies are liable for the harms that they create,

01:59:22.860 just like you would want any externalities to be owned on the balance sheet,

01:59:26.340 and so they're incentivized to not have caused the problem.

01:59:28.940 And you can have things like whistleblower protections in advance to the fact that the government doesn't have a lot of people,

01:59:34.940 as you said, the octogenarians that are in Congress and don't understand the issues.

01:59:40.620 We can have more protections from people inside the company.

01:59:43.700 So hang on just a second.

01:59:44.680 It's a dangerous situation.

01:59:45.580 Hang on just a second.

01:59:46.240 So here's one of the things that they didn't understand.

01:59:49.040 When some of those people were talking about, well, then we're going to pass new laws,

01:59:52.480 I said those laws, by the time you get them written, it will be a whole new set of problems.

01:59:59.200 It's moving so fast.

02:00:01.180 Honestly, it's almost as if we are as unmoored as the Nazi scientists who are like,

02:00:22.780 I don't know, let's inject some blue into people's eyes.

02:00:25.720 I mean, it's insane what we're doing, and there doesn't seem to be any way to stop it

02:00:32.700 because everybody is going to have it, and our enemies are going to have it.

02:00:38.300 Yes, but as you're saying, I do agree that it's insane we've allowed ourselves to get

02:00:43.960 this far.

02:00:44.660 A short way of saying it is software is eating the world.

02:00:47.900 Actually, Marc Andreessen said that, but AI is now eating software, and we have no rules

02:00:53.760 and no for software nor AI.

02:00:56.100 So it's like the Wild West is eating the world.

02:00:58.080 We used to have protections around children in media.

02:01:00.480 What can you show them on Saturday morning?

02:01:02.000 We used to have protections around what kinds of things can go on the airwaves from the FCC,

02:01:06.820 but when software and AI eats the world, all of those protections and the spirit of the

02:01:11.080 law go out the window. 0.98

02:01:12.760 And as you said, it is moving very, very quickly, but it doesn't mean that there's nothing that

02:01:16.620 we can do.

02:01:17.140 There's still a spectrum of outcomes ahead of us, and we have to choose to get to the less

02:01:23.180 bad of those outcomes.

02:01:25.640 Okay, so what should we be pushing for?

02:01:29.080 Well, as we said, I think of it like belts and suspenders.

02:01:32.260 It's a whole set of things that we need to get to a better future.

02:01:36.460 So one is, actually, just on the argumentative side, you were just mentioning China.

02:01:40.200 As we both know, I would say the number one reason why we're not regulating or doing something

02:01:44.540 about this is because we'll say, well, we'll stifle innovation compared to China, right? 0.98

02:01:49.140 But it turns out the biggest accelerant to China's AI progress has been American AI companies,

02:01:55.840 specifically Facebook or Meta's AI model called Lama, has been cited to be the number one

02:02:01.140 accelerant of China's progress.

02:02:03.400 And so the first thing is getting clear that to the degree we're in a race, we're in a

02:02:08.460 race to get to a stable future.

02:02:11.140 And right now we're building a future like we played the game Jenga.

02:02:14.260 If you remember that, you know, in your family, it's like we're adding these amazing new things

02:02:18.940 at the top of the stack, like new cures to cancer, but we pulled out a fundamental building

02:02:23.980 block in society, which is now anybody can make dangerous things with biology because that's

02:02:28.400 what enabled the new, you know, cures to cancer.

02:02:30.480 At the very top of the Jenga tower, we add the ability for anybody to make AI art, but

02:02:36.320 in doing so, we pulled out a fundamental block of now no one knows what's true or real.

02:02:42.100 And so, yes, we're in a race with China, but we're in a race to have actually a stable 0.96

02:02:46.060 and integrated future.

02:02:47.280 So it's a race for who can better govern this technology, not who has the power in a way

02:02:51.820 that self-undermines you.

02:02:52.900 Tristan, I'm out of time and I always am with you.

02:02:57.480 I would love to have you back maybe before the holiday or right after whatever will fit

02:03:03.320 into your schedule to spend more time with you on what's right around the corner, what's

02:03:08.740 already here that parents and all of us should be aware of and more of the, because I read

02:03:14.640 this stuff and I see this stuff and, you know, I've been talking about it since the 90s.

02:03:19.040 To me, it just feels overwhelming that it's here and nobody's done anything about it.

02:03:25.820 And I'm on the opposite end of most people, I think.

02:03:29.240 They don't even know about most of this stuff yet and what's right around the corner.

02:03:34.420 And I appreciate your point of view that we still have time.

02:03:38.220 We can still do things.

02:03:39.380 It's obviously getting slim, but we can still emphasize that, you know, to policymakers,

02:03:45.460 senators, the new administration, the new Surgeon General, we need to know about and

02:03:48.880 act on these harms.

02:03:50.180 And Glenn, thank you so much always for letting me get a chance to talk about this stuff.

02:03:53.960 Tristan, thank you.

02:03:54.680 Hope to have you on again soon.

02:03:56.220 Thank you.

02:03:56.940 God bless.

02:03:58.080 All right.

02:03:58.500 Let me tell you about Relief Factor.

02:03:59.620 Keith lives in Washington and wrote in about his experience with Relief Factor.

02:04:02.900 He says, I'm 51 years old.

02:04:04.220 I've always been extremely active.

02:04:05.600 But a while back, things started to change hit 50.

02:04:09.740 He said, my body was it felt like it was just wearing out.

02:04:14.740 And I heard on the radio about Relief Factor.

02:04:17.080 So I gave it a try.

02:04:18.680 Wow.

02:04:18.900 I have little to no pain in my knees now, and I highly reduce the pain in my neck.

02:04:24.980 Keith, great to hear.

02:04:26.320 I've been trying to reduce the pain in my neck with Relief Factor, but I think I have to just

02:04:30.480 fire Stu to make that happen.

02:04:31.960 Relief Factor is a daily supplement that helps your body fight the pain by fighting

02:04:36.320 inflammation, which is the source of most of our pain in our bodies and a lot of our

02:04:39.960 disease.

02:04:40.920 It's 100% drug-free, developed by doctors to help reduce or eliminate pain.

02:04:45.340 Over a million people have tried Relief Factor's Quick Start, and 70% of them have gone on to

02:04:49.860 order it again and again.

02:04:50.880 So stop masking your pain and start fighting back naturally.

02:04:54.000 Give Relief Factor a try.

02:05:28.740 Well, it's been an interesting show.

02:05:49.000 I started out so optimistic, and wow, that just kind of went down the old crapper.

02:05:55.980 However, however, I think if you actually listen to today's show, you might want to start with

02:06:05.520 hour two and end with hour three.

02:06:09.540 I know some in the central time zones, some of our stations do that.

02:06:13.220 You're about to hear hour one in central time zones, and it's the right answer. 0.92

02:06:23.100 Because, well, just listen.

02:06:26.000 If you've missed any bit of the show today, make sure you go back to hour number one and listen to it.

02:06:35.260 Because it is the answer.

02:06:38.640 The problem with AI is, you know, Stu is saying when we got off the air, that Jenga thing is so bright.

02:06:47.380 You know, we keep stacking these really good things on top, but we're taking Jenga pieces out from the foundation.

02:06:55.420 But we're not actually pulling them out.

02:06:59.120 We're allowing them to be pulled out.

02:07:02.080 We've weakened the foundation.

02:07:03.380 Our foundation is rotted because we don't recognize the principles that is the basic, fundamental, eternal building blocks of societies.

02:07:17.820 I'm convinced if we could fix and re-cement our cornerstones and find our principles again, we can weather anything.

02:07:28.300 But we're children playing with matches, gasoline, and nitroglycerin.
