The Glenn Beck Program - INFURIATING Baby Formula Shortage Explained ｜ Guests： Sen. Mike Lee & Bethany Mandel ｜ 5⧸10⧸21

00:00:00.000 Well, the heat of summer has finally begun to arrive.

00:00:03.040 Of course, this begs the question, are you staying cool where it counts?

00:00:09.000 There are very few things worse than walking around in underwear that does not keep you cool and dry,

00:00:13.460 especially when it gets hot enough to cook an egg on the sidewalk,

00:00:16.440 which is basically every single day in this state from now until the end of September.

00:00:21.460 When you wear Tommy John, you are much, much cooler, and that makes everything easier and better.

00:00:26.140 Tommy John has breathable, lightweight fabric that has four times the stretch of competing brands.

00:00:32.060 And with dozens of comfort innovations, you are going to find yourself looking and feeling cool all season long,

00:00:43.420 That's why they don't have customers. 0.87

00:00:44.460 They have Fanatics.

00:00:45.960 You're not going to want to return them, but if you do,

00:00:48.260 returns and exchanges are free with Tommy John's best pair you'll ever wear or it's free.

00:00:52.260 Guarantee it's time to feel cozy, not lazy.

00:00:55.440 Tommy John's new men's and women's loungewear.

00:00:58.660 I love their loungewear.

00:00:59.600 It's so awesome.

00:01:13.580 Radio show starts here in just a second.

00:01:25.440 We've got no room to compromise.

00:01:42.240 We've got to stand together if we're going to survive.

00:01:50.100 Stand up straight and hold the line.

00:01:53.740 What you are about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

00:02:07.700 This is the Glenn Beck Program.

00:02:12.960 Hello, America, and welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.

00:02:15.740 Today, I've got several points to show you where we are winning and how we are winning

00:02:22.980 and what we should do in this position where things are starting to break up and change.

00:02:30.960 We're going to talk about the economy.

00:02:33.020 We're going to talk about the border.

00:02:34.420 We are going to talk about the Supreme Court.

00:02:38.780 Mike Lee joins us about what's now going through the Senate.

00:02:43.040 And I want to start with a very frank letter that we just received.

00:02:48.880 An email from somebody who used to be, in her own words, a modern pro-choice woman.

00:02:58.360 Things have changed.

00:03:00.000 We begin there in 60 seconds.

00:03:01.660 As Christy wrote in about her dog's experience with Rough Green, she said,

00:03:04.980 We have two pointers who hunt at least four days a week, if not more.

00:03:08.860 Their skin has been dry and flaky, and their coats dull and rough.

00:03:12.300 But within two weeks of using Rough Greens, we've been able to see a bounce back level in energy,

00:03:17.620 as well as their coats being amazingly shiny and smooth.

00:03:20.620 And no more dry, flaky skin.

00:03:23.380 We couldn't be happier.

00:03:24.860 Thank you.

00:03:26.120 Rough Greens is not a dog food.

00:03:27.880 It's a supplement that you sprinkle on your dog's food, and it's chock full of vitamins, minerals, probiotics, antioxidants, you name it.

00:03:34.800 If it's healthy for your dog, it's most likely in Rough Greens.

00:03:39.040 And they want to make sure that your dog is comfortable eating it, loves it as much as our dogs do.

00:03:45.600 All you have to do is just go to roughgreens.com slash back, roughgreens.com slash back,

00:03:51.220 and they're going to give you your first bag free.

00:03:53.980 All you pay for is the shipping.

00:03:55.480 Go now to roughgreens.com slash back, ruffgreens.com slash back,

00:04:01.640 or call 833-G-L-E-N-N-33, 833-G-L-E-N-N-33, or roughgreens.com slash back.

00:04:10.400 So I got an email in, and I want to read it verbatim.

00:04:16.160 I can no longer relate to the modern pro-choice woman.

00:04:19.500 I don't want to shout my abortion.

00:04:23.720 I want to pretend it never happened.

00:04:26.600 Up until last week's SCOTUS leak, I had done a pretty good job of burying my 20-year secret.

00:04:33.660 But the Roe vs. Wade information earthquake triggered an eruption.

00:04:38.240 I can no longer pretend to be ambivalent or leave it to blue-check pro-lifers to speak for me. 1.00

00:04:46.600 My days of repeating safe, legal, and rare,

00:04:50.400 that mantra like a good Gen X libertarian feminist, are over.

00:04:55.340 Some pro-abortion activists call their life-ending procedure self-care,

00:05:01.880 like they just booked a hot stone massage or a facial at a spa.

00:05:06.980 This is a polite euphemism many women tell themselves, 1.00

00:05:10.880 not because we are cold-blooded killers, but because it's how we survive.

00:05:16.540 We have to lie in order to justify what is actually taking place.

00:05:21.600 Denial is just a protective coat barrier from the truth.

00:05:27.280 Remember, any woman born after Roe vs. Wade has been programmed 0.92

00:05:30.820 to believe that abortion is a natural-born right.

00:05:35.540 It's legal, therefore it must not be evil.

00:05:38.600 It's a medical procedure.

00:05:40.360 Women do it every day. 1.00

00:05:42.580 Planned Parenthood has a nice way of describing abortion on their website.

00:05:45.740 A doctor uses a combination of medical tools

00:05:49.440 and a suction device to gently take the pregnancy tissue out of your uterus. 1.00

00:05:56.200 Gently take the tissue out.

00:06:00.180 Benign euphemisms that wrap our hearts and minds in a suffocating cocoon.

00:06:06.000 Benign euphemisms to keep us in line.

00:06:10.600 I was raised in the Bible Belt,

00:06:12.940 and I believe that sex before marriage was the greatest of sins. 0.98

00:06:16.900 You'd be better off robbing a store by pistol 0.99

00:06:20.580 than be caught fornicating with a boy, 1.00

00:06:22.600 and yet I did fornicate with a boy. 0.91

00:06:25.220 No boy I'd ever be proud to bring around my parents.

00:06:28.380 I never gave him the option to talk me out of it.

00:06:30.720 I just demanded that he paid half for the procedure

00:06:33.140 and never speak of it again.

00:06:35.960 I told myself it would be easier to survive the hidden shame of the abortion

00:06:40.520 than wear the shame of my sin on my belly for nine months.

00:06:44.800 I took the so-called easy way out at six weeks.

00:06:50.740 I swallowed a pill I got from some abortionist who gave me the creeps.

00:06:55.400 He was no medical saint like the ones portrayed in the Cider House Rules,

00:06:59.660 nobly saving women from coat hanger abortions. 0.66

00:07:03.140 The doctor in my story made a quick buck at the expense of terrified good girls. 0.97

00:07:08.080 Years later, I would learn that he kept aborted fetuses in buckets

00:07:13.800 and was under investigation for shady medical practices.

00:07:18.540 I couldn't leave his clinic fast enough,

00:07:21.040 but at least I wouldn't have to miss work or skip my college classes.

00:07:25.220 I could just finish my degree and still make my parents proud.

00:07:29.120 How convenient.

00:07:29.760 But the pill I took made an ugly, painful mess and didn't finish the job.

00:07:36.740 Now I had to see a real obstetrician to get an ultrasound and deal with the aftermath. 0.71

00:07:43.280 This doctor's office was nicer.

00:07:45.480 It had bright lights and pink walls.

00:07:48.640 Although my doctor was professional, I still felt the quiet judgment in her voice.

00:07:52.560 I refused to look at the image of my tortured fetus on the screen.

00:07:58.760 I knew what it would mean if I did.

00:08:01.620 My feminist career ambitions would lose the battle to my soul if I looked at that baby. 0.78

00:08:08.180 The doctor told me the fetus was still viable, but now most likely mentally challenged.

00:08:15.380 The kinder thing to do would to be finish the job at an in-clinic abortion. 1.00

00:08:22.560 End the fetus's suffering.

00:08:25.040 End my own self-torture.

00:08:27.820 I woke up from anesthesia to learn the abortion was complete.

00:08:31.320 It was over so quickly, but the internal conflict hangs.

00:08:35.280 And hangs.

00:08:38.680 You find weird ways to cope.

00:08:42.460 Not long after, I discovered an abandoned robin egg still perfectly intact.

00:08:47.900 I wrapped it in a sock and I carried it with me.

00:08:50.440 For over a decade.

00:08:54.000 If I couldn't do right by my own child, maybe I could keep this unhatched egg safe.

00:08:58.780 Eventually, I had to come to terms with the fact that the bird egg was dead.

00:09:03.460 And I got therapy.

00:09:06.320 He was a good New York psychologist.

00:09:08.640 Secular, liberal, tolerant.

00:09:10.960 He helped me to forgive myself, but I always knew who I really needed to ask forgiveness.

00:09:15.360 It's easy for a young woman with all those stockpiled eggs in her ovaries to be pro-choice. 1.00

00:09:23.640 She can toss away the miracle of life like a rotten banana or a bruised apple because it's easily replaced. 0.53

00:09:29.960 It wasn't until I was forced to confront the mortality of my own fertility that I felt the full choice of my regret.

00:09:38.760 But I don't write this letter to achieve redemption or to be the new face of the pro-life movement.

00:09:44.400 You'll not see me pleading with women outside of an abortion clinic.

00:09:47.920 You'll not see me protesting with a cutesy homemade sign at the March for Life.

00:09:52.340 You're not going to see me sparring on Twitter confronting baby killers with cold hard facts.

00:09:59.460 For now, you'll not even know my name.

00:10:04.260 I suppose this isn't very brave.

00:10:07.700 But my story isn't complete and God's work in me is in an active state.

00:10:15.780 Mine is a modest mission.

00:10:17.440 Maybe if I'm honest about my own wounds, I can help other women like me to heal. 0.62

00:10:25.260 Maybe I can love the terrified, knocked-up woman in the Bible Belt who believes the best 1.00

00:10:30.940 and the worst lies in our society has ever told.

00:10:37.020 Better than any conservative talk show could ever, ever, could come up with.

00:10:42.220 These are the best of the worst lies.

00:10:45.240 The SCOTUS leak ripped a Band-Aid off a festering 50-year-old wound.

00:10:53.040 It's naive to think that we'll fix this mess for the unborn overnight 1.00

00:10:56.780 and deprogram men and women plugged into 50 years of slick, well-packaged lies.

00:11:03.480 Slavery was legal in the U.S. for over 200 years before we fought a war to end it.

00:11:08.280 And it would be another 100 years before we'd end state-sanctioned racism.

00:11:12.780 When it comes to the issue of defending innocent life, I know it's hard to be patient.

00:11:20.720 This is a clear battle of good versus evil for many on the right.

00:11:24.740 But you need allies like me, the former safe, legal, and rare pro-choicers 0.99

00:11:31.480 who are afraid to come out of the shadows, afraid to become a political prop in the culture war,

00:11:38.640 but willing to do the quiet missionary work in our own backyard.

00:11:42.840 I hope for the day future progressives look back in horror at today's progressives

00:11:49.400 fighting to keep abortion on demand.

00:11:52.220 I hope for the day the New York Times publishes the pro-life version of the 1619 Project. 0.96

00:11:59.040 Maybe they'll call it the 1973 Project,

00:12:02.480 whose mission is to reframe the country's history by placing the consequence of abortion 0.80

00:12:07.820 and the contribution of the pro-life movement at the very center of our national narrative.

00:12:14.780 Until that day,

00:12:16.620 I just want to help these women be braver than me.

00:12:23.460 To see beyond their impossible tomorrow.

00:12:26.460 If I had allowed someone the chance to let me be brave,

00:12:35.000 I might not have had the same successful career,

00:12:39.440 but I now would have a 20-year-old son or daughter

00:12:42.600 to invest this unexplained overflow in my heart.

00:12:54.580 Back in a minute.

00:12:56.460 James wrote in about his experience with Relief Factor.

00:12:59.580 He says,

00:12:59.920 This stuff really works.

00:13:01.000 I've told so many of my friends about Relief Factor ever since I started taking it.

00:13:04.260 I'm a mechanic and a veteran.

00:13:06.220 70 years old and I've finally been able to sleep through the night.

00:13:09.780 Since I have no more pain in my hands,

00:13:13.520 I'm a different person.

00:13:14.520 Thank you so much.

00:13:16.440 James,

00:13:17.160 thank you for your service.

00:13:58.020 10 seconds.

00:13:58.640 Station ID.

00:13:59.180 News cut two here.

00:14:12.800 Chip Roy has been talking a lot about Biden's border policies.

00:14:19.200 Talk about the damage being done to the United States of America.

00:14:21.600 Mr. Secretary, do you know what this is?

00:14:23.840 This is a mobile morgue, a body trailer,

00:14:28.120 needed by counties in South Texas overwhelmed by dead migrants.

00:14:31.680 That particular trailer is filled with these bodies,

00:14:35.600 27 bodies that were stored in this mobile morgue in South Texas

00:14:40.440 with dead bodies of migrants.

00:14:42.360 Dead bodies like this one found on a ranch just three weeks ago in South Texas.

00:14:47.640 A dead migrant.

00:14:48.900 Somehow that's compassion.

00:14:50.580 How about the dead bodies found by migrants?

00:14:53.020 Compassion.

00:14:54.560 How about the ranchers who had to walk out of their door

00:14:57.240 and this is what they face.

00:14:58.800 Gentlemen with rocks threatening a rancher in South Texas

00:15:01.680 only able to be saved when they are able to bring their dogs out

00:15:05.140 to scare the people away in order to save themselves.

00:15:08.240 Or the fact that you've got houses being attacked.

00:15:10.720 You've got livestock dead on the side

00:15:12.480 because we've got ranches wide open. 0.96

00:15:14.720 How about the little girl here with a brand on her arm?

00:15:17.420 A little girl with a brand on her arm because of your policies. 0.99

00:15:20.560 A little girl here in the desert found by ranchers trying to save their life.

00:15:24.780 And how about the lost voices for people dying from fentanyl?

00:15:28.840 The hundreds of thousands, tens of thousands of Americans dying from fentanyl.

00:15:32.740 Faces.

00:15:33.540 Faces of Americans.

00:15:34.940 Faces of Americans across this country dying because of fentanyl pouring into our country.

00:15:40.320 Time of the gentleman has expired.

00:15:42.160 You know full well.

00:15:43.280 Time of the gentleman has expired.

00:15:44.980 I'm just so tired of all of this.

00:15:47.980 Aren't you?

00:15:48.880 Aren't you just so tired of all of this?

00:15:53.160 Democrats try to claim the moral high ground on everything that they push.

00:15:57.740 It's all about compassion.

00:15:59.440 If we can just save fill in the blank.

00:16:03.880 Record amounts of illegals are crossing our border.

00:16:06.440 Record amounts of people are dying because of it.

00:16:09.120 Not only are migrants dying, Americans are dying. 0.99

00:16:12.620 U.S. servicemen are dying on the border.

00:16:15.740 Fentanyl overdoses are reaching now critical stage.

00:16:19.460 It's now the leading cause of death for adults 18 to 45.

00:16:24.840 Fentanyl.

00:16:25.780 The leading cause of death 18 to 45.

00:16:29.860 And no one is talking about it.

00:16:32.200 Including our local and city government.

00:16:34.360 I will show you all tomorrow night.

00:16:38.180 All of it.

00:16:39.320 Tomorrow night.

00:16:40.000 Wednesday night.

00:16:40.780 On Blaze TV.

00:16:41.940 9 p.m.

00:16:43.220 It's the Wednesday night special.

00:16:45.900 Biden's border bloodbath.

00:16:48.340 The deadly crisis exposed.

00:16:50.920 It is amazing to me.

00:16:52.540 How.

00:16:54.200 The.

00:16:55.780 How we are now starting to see the fruits of all of their labor.

00:16:59.740 We are now starting to see the starvation.

00:17:03.680 I'm telling you millions will starve to death in the next five years because of what this administration and the the global elites have decided to do.

00:17:19.920 Millions will starve to death and we won't be in a position to help anyone.

00:17:25.880 We talk about abortion as it's a right.

00:17:32.840 It's death.

00:17:34.960 We talk about our our fuel policy as something that will help the planet but it will mean death.

00:17:46.060 We talk about.

00:17:49.100 The border but we don't talk about the death.

00:17:52.060 This is a death cult that we're facing.

00:17:59.220 And you know what's crazy is people are starting to wake up and they're starting to see facts that we thought people knew.

00:18:05.960 Like I always thought that you know Bill Maher.

00:18:08.540 I disagreed with him but he was informed.

00:18:12.300 Do we have the Bill Maher cut.

00:18:14.200 Listen to this.

00:18:14.760 I learned things this week because this put it on the front page that are pretty basic things that I did not know about abortion.

00:18:23.800 Like in Europe. 0.64

00:18:26.340 The modern countries of Europe.

00:18:28.540 Way more restrictive than we are.

00:18:30.480 Or what they're even proposing.

00:18:32.240 If you are pro-choice.

00:18:34.300 You would like it a lot less in Germany and Italy and France and Spain and Switzerland.

00:18:39.780 Did you know that?

00:18:40.500 I didn't know that.

00:18:41.140 I didn't know that.

00:18:42.080 That's right.

00:18:42.980 Okay.

00:18:44.320 I learned most people who are pro-life are women. 1.00

00:18:48.720 Did not know that.

00:18:50.540 He goes on to say most abortions are done with a pill.

00:18:54.720 He said even if you go into a clinic they're done with a pill and the pills are easy to get in America.

00:18:59.800 So for people who are saying we're going back to 1973 we're not.

00:19:03.240 That's just factually inaccurate.

00:19:08.220 I think there's an awakening that is happening.

00:19:10.980 People are people are going from woke to awake which is a very nice transition.

00:19:18.440 And a very different thing.

00:19:20.700 Very very different.

00:19:23.020 Yeah.

00:19:23.320 The pill thing is such an interesting part of this because you know they you can you know women are doing it in Texas.

00:19:29.520 They did a study on what happened in Texas when they cut the abortion restrictions down to six weeks with this recent law that they passed.

00:19:36.260 And it prevented at least in Texas they think only about 10 percent of abortions.

00:19:42.500 Part of that was people traveling.

00:19:45.380 Also it was part of people just ordering from online pharmacies in India these pills that they can get these abortions.

00:19:53.560 And like really I mean being honest about it there's no way we're going to be able to regulate that out of existence.

00:19:59.000 There's no it's never going to be the case.

00:20:00.880 So you know I mean we can't stop fentanyl right.

00:20:04.700 How are we going to stop abortion pills that are legal all around the world from flowing into the mail.

00:20:09.520 I mean it's just not going to happen.

00:20:11.500 So what you talked about with the woman earlier is the much in some ways more important than Roe versus Wade being overturned.

00:20:21.840 Roe versus Wade being overturned is an important part of this.

00:20:24.540 But it's really like going to the gym once yes it's part of getting in shape but it is only the first step of getting in shape and you have to keep going.

00:20:34.420 Oh and you and you have to change you.

00:20:37.500 I mean people like you keep going and then pretty soon you just love it.

00:20:40.620 I've never found that part.

00:20:42.200 I've never found that part.

00:20:43.700 But we have to we have to work on people's hearts.

00:20:48.380 You know there was this this tweet last week that came out that said you know this abortion thing guys you better wake up it's going to stop the hookup culture. 0.99

00:20:57.200 Yeah.

00:20:57.500 That's a good thing.

00:20:59.740 That's a good thing.

00:21:01.980 Yeah.

00:21:02.500 That's that's that was the big threat.

00:21:05.240 Yeah.

00:21:05.500 Probably a good thing for our society is it not that good thing for us as a nation as a people.

00:21:14.200 We're I mean I was shocked to hear I mean it's been you know 20 years since I've dated and I dated poorly back then I lucked out.

00:21:23.860 But I was shocked to hear that people now expect sex and then depending on how that goes we'll see about a relationship.

00:21:34.320 Whole thing is flipped upside down.

00:21:35.940 Everything.

00:21:36.440 I mean now upside down inside out.

00:21:38.640 Right.

00:21:38.780 What was typically the way you would meet people is now like a creepy thing right up and meeting someone at a bar meeting someone at work.

00:21:49.200 You know you know with the idea when you walk up to them that you're flirting with them is now this like creepy thing.

00:21:57.160 And the normal thing is if you swipe a certain direction whatever direction that is so you show consent beforehand and you kind of reverse engineer the whole process does not seem like a good sensible way for a civilization to operate.

00:22:13.920 And now we can't get President Biden to actually call what's happening the terrorist activity that is happening at our Supreme Court justices house.

00:22:24.460 We can't we can't we can't we can't even call it terror we we can't even get a president to disavow those who are now saying exactly the same thing that many people said before January 6th that got them into so much trouble.

00:22:41.920 We got to stand up and fight.

00:22:44.280 Oh that was obscene to say.

00:22:47.340 Now you have Lori Lightfoot and others saying it all the time.

00:22:51.200 Mike Lee joins us next.

00:24:14.340 This is the Glenn Beck program.

00:24:26.480 I'm going to read two things to you.

00:24:28.200 First the New York Times.

00:24:30.840 The New York Times wrote.

00:24:33.340 Two days before a mob of Trump supporters invaded the United States Capitol.

00:24:37.800 Upending the nation's peaceful transition of power and leaving at least five people dead.

00:24:43.060 The right wing radio star Glenn Beck delivered a message to his flock of 10.5 million listeners.

00:24:49.540 It's time to fight.

00:24:51.880 It's time to rip and claw and rake.

00:24:54.140 Mr. Beck said on his January 4th broadcast.

00:24:56.480 It's time for you to go to war as the left went to war four years ago.

00:25:01.760 Now they updated that even though we gave them all of this information.

00:25:05.580 A week before the story aired.

00:25:09.220 Two days after publication they updated it with this.

00:25:14.080 Mr. Beck did not lobby for his listeners to invade the Capitol.

00:25:17.740 And a day later he urged marchers in Washington to channel your inner Martin Luther King.

00:25:23.320 Adding violence is not who we've ever been.

00:25:26.200 But the language he used on his January 4th show was typical of the aggressive rhetoric that permeated conservative talk radio.

00:25:35.020 So, okay.

00:25:35.980 I mean, again, you specifically said not to go.

00:25:41.080 I know.

00:25:41.760 So, couldn't that?

00:25:42.560 Why would they use you as an example?

00:25:44.060 It makes no sense.

00:25:44.900 Here is the latest story today.

00:25:49.060 Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot set social media ablaze Monday evening with a call to arms.

00:25:55.040 That's a quote.

00:25:56.020 Quote.

00:25:56.820 To my friends in the LGBTQ plus community.

00:25:59.900 The Supreme Court is coming for us next.

00:26:02.740 This moment has to be a call to arms.

00:26:05.560 We will not surrender our rights without a fight.

00:26:08.640 We will fight.

00:26:10.000 A fight to victory.

00:26:12.580 Hmm.

00:26:13.700 I wonder if the New York Times is going to say the same about her.

00:26:18.520 She's calling to arms.

00:26:20.200 I don't know what that means except call to guns.

00:26:26.740 Isn't that what arms imply?

00:26:31.020 But there's a double standard here.

00:26:33.440 The president won't, will not disavow those who are now marching in front of the Supreme Court justices' homes.

00:26:44.940 Which is my understanding, it is clearly illegal to do if you are trying to intimidate or change the verdict of a Supreme Court justice.

00:26:58.500 Mike Lee is joining us now from Washington, D.C.

00:27:03.920 Hello, Mike.

00:27:04.540 How are you?

00:27:06.000 Hello, Grant.

00:27:06.800 Well, it's good to be with you.

00:27:07.980 Good.

00:27:08.560 And, you know, what they did to you at the Times, that sounds like reckless disregard for the truth to me.

00:27:12.680 That's actionable defamation.

00:27:15.000 Oh, really?

00:27:16.900 Huh.

00:27:17.760 Absolutely.

00:27:18.480 All right.

00:27:19.500 You told them what you had actually said.

00:27:22.660 They ran the story anyway, not reflecting that.

00:27:25.720 That is.

00:27:26.880 Does it matter that they corrected it two days later?

00:27:30.460 No, because they still defamed you in the meantime.

00:27:33.160 Nobody reads the corrections like they read the original story.

00:27:36.180 Yeah.

00:27:36.460 This is part of what's disgraceful is that they get away with this.

00:27:39.460 So, let's talk a little bit about, first of all, what is happening to the Supreme Court justices in front of their homes.

00:27:50.040 Mike, that's clearly illegal, is it not?

00:27:52.740 Yes, it is.

00:27:55.240 It violates a Virginia statute.

00:27:57.860 It also, quite arguably, violates a federal statute, 18 U.S.C. Section 1503, I think it is, that would seem to suggest that this is unlawful.

00:28:11.200 But more than anything, Glenn, this is just really creepy.

00:28:15.320 It carries with it an implicit threat of violence, because it says to the occupants of the home where they're protesting, we know where you sleep.

00:28:26.720 It's the only purpose it serves, and that has no place in society.

00:28:30.740 You know, I actually dealt with it.

00:28:32.160 First time I ever dealt with this, I was 11 years old.

00:28:34.220 And my father, who was serving as President Reagan's solicitor general at the time, filed a brief in a case, and it dealt with an issue related to abortion, related to Roe v. Wade.

00:28:47.340 The abortion rights movement didn't like it, so they protested it in front of our home. 1.00

00:28:52.020 I was the only one home at the time.

00:28:53.680 Actually, my older sister, Wendy, was there, but she was asleep the entire time.

00:28:57.940 She slept long.

00:28:58.900 So I went out and talked to them.

00:29:00.200 You know, the movie Home Alone hadn't come out yet.

00:29:02.260 It wouldn't come out for another 20 years, but when I saw that movie many years later, I thought I'd know how that kid feels.

00:29:08.340 I started thinking, what do I do?

00:29:10.440 Do I break out the illegal fireworks stash that I had from where my cousins bought on the Indian reservation the summer before?

00:29:17.060 Do I turn on the sprinklers?

00:29:19.040 It occurred to me, if I did any of those things, news crews would show up.

00:29:22.240 That would be bad.

00:29:23.460 So I just went out and talked to them instead.

00:29:25.620 And the very first thing the lady said to me, there's a lady who appeared to be in charge of all of them.

00:29:30.100 We'll call her Karen.

00:29:30.940 And Karen said to me, well, hello, little boy.

00:29:34.340 We're not here to hurt you.

00:29:35.920 That's creepy.

00:29:37.140 And it's creepy any time you protest in front of the home of a public official.

00:29:41.100 Right.

00:29:41.240 That's what's wrong with it.

00:29:42.380 And I'm wondering if that would even be said today.

00:29:46.180 A lot of these protesters, I mean, it's vile what's going on.

00:29:51.060 Just as it was vile on January 6th.

00:29:54.160 That was a that was a mob.

00:29:57.400 And not everybody.

00:29:58.800 But the ones that really kind of broke down the door, et cetera, et cetera.

00:30:02.460 Those people were in a mob mentality and just vile.

00:30:07.600 So, Mike, yesterday, without anybody condemning these people and saying it has to stop, the Senate voted to pass a bill to provide security services to the Supreme Court justices and their families.

00:30:22.220 And it was a unanimous vote.

00:30:25.680 Yes.

00:30:26.160 How can somebody on the left say that this isn't violent and yet vote unanimously to provide security?

00:30:36.980 Well, if one of them were on the show with us, and I'm sure all the lefties come on your show constantly all the time.

00:30:44.120 So you can probably provide the answer.

00:30:46.420 I'm sure they would say, look, the potential is there.

00:30:49.940 We want to make sure they have safety when they need it.

00:30:52.600 But look, there's no reason for them to not condemn this.

00:30:55.700 There's no reason for them to not call it off.

00:30:57.680 It is inappropriate.

00:30:59.360 I have yet to have this conversation with any of my colleagues, Republican, Democrat, otherwise, in which they will disagree with the suggestion it's inappropriate to show up to someone's home to protest.

00:31:14.120 It's not appropriate.

00:31:15.260 I don't know why it is they can't find the moral courage to express publicly what I think all of them believe privately, which is that that is unacceptable.

00:31:23.120 That was the problem with January 6th.

00:31:26.320 For many of us, we were like, where is Donald Trump?

00:31:28.960 Why isn't he stepping up to the plate right now and saying this is horrible?

00:31:33.740 Stop it right now.

00:31:35.260 Let me ask you.

00:31:37.980 There's a bill now going through and at the Senate and it's to codify Roe.

00:31:44.580 Can you explain what's going on here?

00:31:48.700 Yeah.

00:31:49.620 There's a bill moving through the Senate and they want to codify Roe, but it's Roe on steroids.

00:31:55.340 It's worse than Roe, far worse.

00:31:59.100 It basically says that no state can have any law restricting abortion in any way and guarantees abortion right up until the moment of birth without any restriction by any other law.

00:32:14.400 And so this is a very radical proposal.

00:32:17.080 This is substantially farther to the left than what you'll see from any ordinary American.

00:32:26.800 Americans understand that regardless of how they feel about abortion more broadly, they understand that the closer you get to birth, the closer you get to the point where a baby could clearly survive outside the womb.

00:32:41.680 Nearly all Americans support some restrictions on abortion, but they want to get rid of even those.

00:32:47.700 This act is intended to protect all people with the capacity for pregnancy, cisgender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals, those who identify with a different gender and others who are unjustly harmed by restrictions on abortion services.

00:33:04.060 Mike, I got to believe if I were running for the Senate and I was kind of in a purple state, I would be really upset at the Democratic leadership if I'm running as a Democrat.

00:33:17.080 Yeah. And why wouldn't it be? But look, they're trying to impress a certain radical French element of their own base.

00:33:27.020 And this is where they're going to do it. The next step they're going to do is they're going to try to pack the Supreme Court or hashtag expand the court.

00:33:33.700 As many of my liberal colleagues are now using that hashtag. They want to add justices to the Supreme Court of the United States, which is itself a huge mistake.

00:33:40.960 All these things are designed to delegitimize and denigrate and isolate those Supreme Court justices inclined to vote for Justice Alito's masterfully written majority opinion.

00:33:50.720 Mike, you were part of the crew that you were a leader in the crew to find the Supreme Court justices.

00:33:59.220 They're saying now that it looks like this is going to be the filing rule ruling. Do you believe that?

00:34:05.940 Yes, I do believe that. And I also believe that the reason these people are freaking out so much is that they're they're afraid of the same thing.

00:34:17.640 And so that's why I think if this does, in fact, happen, the pivot will happen very, very quickly.

00:34:24.440 And they'll move on to saying this is an illegitimate court. So we're going to have to change it.

00:34:28.040 We haven't seen this since 1937. It's why I started seeing this coming about a year and a half ago.

00:34:33.940 That's why I started writing the book that comes out June 7th, available for preorder now called Saving Nine.

00:34:39.020 Saving Nine explains what happened last time they did this, how we stop it and why it's such a horrible idea.

00:34:44.020 It's a it is a book that is right on time called Saving Nine and very good.

00:34:52.140 Mike, the the the bill that they are trying to pass, let's just live in fantasy land.

00:34:59.720 Say we say that it passes. OK, isn't that still what the Supreme Court was saying shouldn't be done, that it should go to the states?

00:35:10.280 It's not a federal issue.

00:35:14.020 Yes. So the Supreme Court draft majority opinion written by Justice Alito said that these are the sorts of decisions that ought to be made by the people's elected lawmakers and not by nine lawyers wearing robes on the Supreme Court of the United States.

00:35:32.140 For the simple reason that there's nothing in the Constitution that makes this something that the courts decide, nothing in the Constitution that even makes this federal rather than state.

00:35:41.940 Now, there are some places for federal law to weigh in on most areas, but most laws, most of the time that affect most of your day to day life are state laws, not federal laws.

00:35:51.740 So it follows logically that given that there's nothing in the Constitution making abortion distinctly a federal issue, most laws dealing with abortion should be handled at the state level.

00:36:02.480 Does that include if New York or California includes, you know, partial birth abortion or after birth abortion, which is now strangely being talked about in those states?

00:36:15.080 Does the federal government have a role in stopping any of that?

00:36:20.720 Depending on how far Congress wanted to push the envelope, Congress could try to assert more authority in that area.

00:36:26.680 My personal view is that this is one of those areas that really is perfect for the Constitution, for the constitutional principle of federalism.

00:36:37.200 Because, look, there isn't a lot of national unity, national consensus on this issue.

00:36:43.740 People in Utah would decide this very differently than the people of New York.

00:36:49.380 And people in Mississippi very differently than those in the state of Oregon.

00:36:54.820 And, you know, sometimes that is part of the constitutional compromise.

00:36:59.280 That's part of who we are. That is the compromise.

00:37:01.680 Is that we allow people to govern themselves differently according to local preferences.

00:37:08.120 Well, Mike, I want to thank you for all the work that you did with Donald Trump and Ted Cruz to get these guys on the Supreme Court and women as well.

00:37:19.880 Well, it's because of, I think, your work that we have these people.

00:37:25.360 And I am hoping that when we get a Republican in office that you are appointed to the Supreme Court.

00:37:33.240 Because I think you would make a tremendous Supreme Court justice.

00:37:36.660 Thank you so much, Mike.

00:37:38.920 Thank you very much, Glenn.

00:37:40.060 You bet.

00:37:40.340 By the way, if you want to support Mike in his race for Senate, you can do that by, I don't know, checking out, I don't know, Mike Lee for Senate or whatever the hell.

00:37:52.220 I don't know.

00:37:53.640 The best way to point people to his site.

00:37:56.800 But, yes, you should go look at his site.

00:37:58.360 And this is an important week, I think, by the way, to consider that if you are a person who looks at the ruling from Alito and looks at that in a positive light and maybe have dreamt of the day that Roe versus Wade would be overturned your entire life, for example.

00:38:20.520 It's important to highlight, as you did right there at the end, the really vital role that Mike Lee has in this ruling.

00:38:28.380 He was the guy, basically.

00:38:31.080 That's why they're coming after him so hard.

00:38:32.440 Right.

00:38:32.620 He was the guy who put together the list along with the Federalist Society and a couple of other people that you mentioned.

00:38:38.660 But he was really the driving force to get that list in front of Donald Trump that he wound up selecting from, these three justices.

00:38:45.560 And in the office with him, campaigning for these people, really trying to educate Donald Trump on who they were and getting them to be the candidate.

00:38:55.760 Without Mike Lee, you don't have the situation that we're looking at this week.

00:38:59.280 That's how crucial he's been to this process.

00:39:01.780 And if you care about this issue at all, you should remember that as you look at who you're voting for here in Utah over the next few months.

00:39:10.720 Well, you have Edwin McMuffin who's running against him, who is pro-choice.

00:39:14.400 And so that's, you know, that's one thing that you would have going for you.

00:39:17.300 Is he pro-choice?

00:39:17.980 I don't even know that.

00:39:18.500 Yeah, I guess he's pro-choice.

00:39:20.820 Regardless, I mean, it's one of these things that even if you had somebody else you were considering, like, this is such a vital issue and he was so vital to it.

00:39:27.020 And I tell you that the left knows it.

00:39:29.740 Too bad the right doesn't know it.

00:39:30.980 But the left knows exactly what he's done.

00:39:33.340 Back in the good old days, if someone came along and stole your identity, you just met him out front of the saloon at high noon and settled it man to man.

00:39:40.840 You know, that was the most convenient place to play, you know, paper, rock, scissors.

00:39:45.940 But today, you actually probably can't even find the person that is stealing your identity and destroying your good name and credit.

00:39:57.300 Nobody can catch everything but LifeLock Identity Theft.

00:40:36.220 By the way, Mike messaged me just during the break.

00:41:01.400 It's LeeForSenate.com.

00:41:04.860 LeeForSenate.com.

00:41:06.160 I'm like, okay, whatever.

00:41:07.780 I can't imagine why he would find that to be important.

00:41:10.620 You know?

00:41:12.700 He is so important in the Senate.

00:41:15.320 Please, if you can, help.

00:41:17.520 The left definitely knows what Mike has done for the Supreme Court and what he is capable of doing.

00:41:26.540 And they want him out.

00:41:28.180 And they are pulling out all the stops.

00:41:34.540 Let me tell you about American financing.

00:41:37.180 Have you called them yet?

00:41:38.540 What are you paying on your credit cards?

00:41:42.120 Already, the loans are up to 5.6%, I think, for interest rates.

00:41:49.800 5.6.

00:41:51.060 Fast.

00:41:51.920 Very fast.

00:41:52.620 And it is going to go way up.

00:41:55.540 What you're seeing in the stock market right now is because of the Fed.

00:42:00.300 You're finally seeing what a stock market does when the Fed's not, you know, investing in it, shall we say.

00:42:08.840 Right now, I want you to find out about your credit cards because they're going to go up and up and up and up.

00:42:13.480 And are you going to be able to pay them off?

00:42:15.480 Call American financing at 800-906-2440.

00:42:18.620 Do it before your house starts to lose value because the market is cooling off.

00:42:33.600 More in a minute.

00:42:48.620 We've got no room to compromise.

00:43:02.180 We've got to stand together if we're going to survive.

00:43:08.420 Stand up straight and hold the line.

00:43:11.600 What you are about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.

00:43:25.600 This is the Glenn Beck Program.

00:43:31.840 Hello, America, and welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.

00:43:34.920 All right, we're going to talk a little bit about the economy this hour, specifically the S&P has now just hit the U.S. states with the credit scores.

00:43:50.260 Hey, all of you states, what's your ESG score?

00:43:56.160 Yep, it's begun, which means we better get serious about who we're going to elect, and we can't have any mamsy-pamsy rhinos. 1.00

00:44:08.800 We need real people that understand the Constitution.

00:44:14.300 I would love to see the Freedom Caucus in charge of the House.

00:44:19.780 That has to happen, but we need more people in the Freedom Caucus.

00:44:24.980 We're going to start there in 60 seconds.

00:44:29.540 So what does KISS, K-I-S-S, stand for?

00:44:33.620 Well, there is a certain part of Boston, Mass., where it stands for Keep It Simple Soap.

00:44:39.620 And that's because of a young man named Gavriel, who was inspired by reading the Tuttle Times Magazine to start his own business, and he did.

00:44:50.400 After researching recipes online, having his chemist father help him acquire the supplies he needed,

00:44:56.780 Gavriel set to work creating his own product.

00:45:01.320 It's simple soaps made from goat's milk.

00:45:04.180 Then he went door-to-door in his neighborhood marketing his product.

00:45:08.420 These days, he sells it online.

00:45:11.760 He had a dream and made it happen.

00:45:14.820 He had an American dream and made it happen.

00:45:18.640 This is something that is not being instilled in any of our kids.

00:45:23.280 And if you think this is inspiring, think about your kids.

00:45:28.060 What will that lead them to do?

00:45:30.700 It is no further now than the pages of the Tuttle Times.

00:45:33.820 It's a magazine dedicated to teaching your kids about entrepreneurship and other freedom-related things.

00:45:39.340 Get access to the magazine right now at a reduced price, $49 for the entire year.

00:45:45.280 Get this to your kids.

00:45:46.600 Help inspire them.

00:45:50.900 Teach them the American dream.

00:45:53.780 TuttleTwinsBeck.com.

00:45:55.220 So there is an opinion in the Washington Post.

00:45:59.880 I was listening to a podcast the other day featuring two hard-left Americans in their late 30s.

00:46:05.380 I won't name names, but you know the type, socialist intellectuals,

00:46:08.240 who use terms like dissident to describe themselves.

00:46:12.340 The conversation mainly centered around a few themes.

00:46:15.100 The kids today are too self-righteous and judgmental. 0.70

00:46:17.900 The Democratic Party is corrupt and uninspiring.

00:46:22.180 Donald Trump wasn't nearly as bad as everyone said.

00:46:25.760 And I miss the good old days.

00:46:28.680 This op-ed is so worth the read today in the Washington Post.

00:46:33.420 Again, are millennial leftists aging into right-wingers?

00:46:38.760 Yeah.

00:46:39.640 And I think there is a real pushback.

00:46:41.600 And hopefully there is a pushback not to the uninspiring Republican Party,

00:46:47.460 which everybody says is the only thing we have.

00:46:49.860 Well, that's the only thing we have because nobody's doing anything about it except for the Freedom Caucus.

00:46:57.440 Freedom Caucus is inside the Democratic Party,

00:47:00.620 just like the Progressive Caucus was inside the Democratic Party.

00:47:05.780 And this is the antidote to the progressive disease.

00:47:13.180 And I just hope that it is spreading all over the country

00:47:18.720 because we need people that will stand together in the shade of the Constitution.

00:47:25.560 Andrew Roth is the president of the State Freedom Caucus Network.

00:47:30.080 He is trying to create more Freedom Caucuses all around the country, 0.67

00:47:34.940 and he is with us now.

00:47:36.600 Hi, Andrew. How are you?

00:47:38.620 Hey, thanks for having me, Glenn.

00:47:40.000 You bet.

00:47:40.580 You just started one in Nevada and South Carolina, right?

00:47:44.960 And just last week in Illinois.

00:47:46.680 We've got five total.

00:47:48.680 Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Nevada, and Illinois.

00:47:53.080 Our plan is to launch another five to seven this year

00:47:56.760 so we can have maybe 10 to 12 total going into the new year.

00:48:02.000 Okay, so what does the Freedom Caucus, so for people that don't know,

00:48:07.220 what does it stand for, and what are you looking for?

00:48:13.140 Well, hopefully your listeners know about the House Freedom Caucus,

00:48:16.360 and we are operating under their blessing and under their auspices,

00:48:20.480 and they believe in limited government, more freedom,

00:48:24.840 both economic freedom and cultural freedom from the woke left.

00:48:28.960 And they have made great strides in the halls of Congress.

00:48:34.820 But if we're going to take back this country,

00:48:37.200 they recognized, as do a lot of people,

00:48:39.720 that the fight is at the state level now.

00:48:42.460 There are all these big issues that need to be won at the state level,

00:48:46.640 whether it's election integrity, school choice, CRT, the list goes on.

00:48:51.960 So we need to organize at the state level.

00:48:56.060 And I'll confess, a lot of people don't know who their state senator is

00:49:01.220 or their state rep, and there is a lot of mischief

00:49:04.040 and a lot of corruption happening at the state level.

00:49:07.320 But the good news is that there are a few conservatives

00:49:10.100 in each legislature who we can help organize

00:49:14.260 by bringing them resources and expertise that we have

00:49:19.040 to create these state freedom caucuses.

00:49:21.300 So that's what we're doing.

00:49:22.420 And I'll tell you what, it's an exciting project,

00:49:25.420 and we're going to change things around as quickly as we can.

00:49:28.660 I will tell you, what I've seen traveling around

00:49:31.540 and talking to the different state legislatures,

00:49:34.760 without the Freedom Caucus,

00:49:37.780 there seems to be a group of people

00:49:40.580 that are angry and can't work within the system.

00:49:47.840 And you understand it, because in some of those states,

00:49:51.180 the system is so corrupt on both sides.

00:49:54.180 But there's got to be an organizing factor

00:49:57.660 that can get things done.

00:50:00.120 And I think that's what you guys are doing in Washington.

00:50:03.620 And to me, this is the answer.

00:50:08.460 The answer is coming right now from the Freedom Caucus,

00:50:12.140 which is don't play the game on either side.

00:50:17.040 Just let's return the power to the people. 0.97

00:50:21.080 That's exactly right.

00:50:22.300 And these state lawmakers, I mean, just think about it.

00:50:24.700 Everything is working against them.

00:50:27.060 First of all, they're citizen lawmakers.

00:50:29.920 You know, they've all got full-time jobs,

00:50:31.620 or at least most of them do.

00:50:32.780 So they're either busy, you know, harvesting the crops

00:50:36.140 or, you know, doing their nine-to-five job,

00:50:39.240 and they're taking time out of their busy life

00:50:42.200 to go to the Capitol and be a representative,

00:50:45.100 which means they don't have a lot of time

00:50:47.160 to read the bills, to understand how things work.

00:50:50.480 So the establishment already has them under their thumb.

00:50:54.820 Plus, they don't have staff.

00:50:57.260 And if they do have staff,

00:50:58.820 it's usually provided to them by leadership,

00:51:00.960 which means they have an actual spy in their office.

00:51:03.920 So anytime a conservative in any state legislator

00:51:07.600 wants to do something proactive to limit the size of government,

00:51:12.240 there are a lot of forces working against them.

00:51:15.200 But we can change that, and that's what we're trying to do.

00:51:18.100 We're going to bring them resources,

00:51:20.200 staffing, all sorts of things,

00:51:21.900 so that they can strategize,

00:51:24.820 they can meet,

00:51:25.840 and they can figure out which bills to kill

00:51:29.160 and which bills to push up.

00:51:31.520 And here's the best part,

00:51:33.240 is that we can build a coalition of supporters behind them.

00:51:36.400 You know, as I mentioned before,

00:51:37.860 a lot of people don't know who their state rep

00:51:39.760 or their state senator is,

00:51:41.140 but we plan on changing that.

00:51:42.820 We want to turn these people into heroes,

00:51:45.200 because if they see that fighting for limited government

00:51:48.380 and liberty is something that people will respond to,

00:51:52.620 they're going to do more of it.

00:51:53.960 And so their colleagues are going to follow them as well.

00:51:56.900 So we've only made a lot of...

00:51:59.220 Are you going into the state houses,

00:52:03.780 or you're talking to the reps that you look at and say,

00:52:07.040 these are the kind of people that we want,

00:52:08.960 and you're talking to them one-on-one,

00:52:11.160 this is both the grassroots,

00:52:15.040 but does the politician come first

00:52:17.660 to make sure you have somebody

00:52:19.240 that you can support right away

00:52:21.320 and then gather the support for that person?

00:52:25.000 Oh, definitely.

00:52:25.720 We have a pretty rigorous vetting process.

00:52:28.520 We reach out to the grassroots,

00:52:31.040 and we basically ask them

00:52:32.700 who's the most conservative member in the legislature,

00:52:35.820 and they usually land on one or two people,

00:52:38.300 and then we start talking to them.

00:52:40.640 And then we give them bylaws,

00:52:43.040 like a template,

00:52:44.560 which they can take to their colleagues,

00:52:46.600 and it's basically an accountability document.

00:52:49.520 Basically, it tells them

00:52:51.680 who they can invite into the Freedom Caucus,

00:52:53.580 how they can kick people out.

00:52:55.440 When a Freedom Caucus takes a position,

00:52:57.720 it's expected that all members follow that position.

00:53:01.120 And if they don't,

00:53:02.020 they need to submit a letter

00:53:03.640 basically explaining why they can't.

00:53:05.740 And if you rack up too many of those letters,

00:53:08.460 then it's time for you to go.

00:53:10.820 So the bylaws are an important part.

00:53:13.480 And then after that,

00:53:14.980 we try to identify somebody in state

00:53:18.280 who knows how things work,

00:53:20.280 who can help that Freedom Caucus operate,

00:53:22.820 kind of the person behind the curtain

00:53:24.520 who can help read the bills,

00:53:26.940 make vote recommendations,

00:53:28.820 build coalitions.

00:53:30.180 None of this is happening right now,

00:53:31.880 and this is what we're going to change.

00:53:35.400 And I got to tell you,

00:53:36.880 it's working.

00:53:38.040 I mean, we're just in five states right now,

00:53:39.800 but it's working.

00:53:40.720 We've had some major successes.

00:53:42.840 A couple of chairmen

00:53:43.780 of these State Freedom Caucuses

00:53:45.200 have been on your show

00:53:46.160 and have explained the success that they're having.

00:53:49.920 So I think the best is yet to come.

00:53:53.580 Well, I hope that you're right

00:53:56.540 because a lot of these people

00:53:58.460 who I happen to believe in all over the country,

00:54:02.060 they're beating their heads against the wall.

00:54:05.500 They're so outnumbered,

00:54:07.260 and they see what the problem is,

00:54:09.300 but it's so dirty.

00:54:11.660 I mean, because I'm fighting against ESG,

00:54:15.600 the money that is being pushed around

00:54:20.480 by the big banks and the lobbyists

00:54:23.020 is just insanity,

00:54:24.560 and people don't have the time

00:54:26.880 to do their own homework on it.

00:54:29.160 It's a problem.

00:54:31.120 Yeah, and that's why we just need

00:54:32.820 to bring more resources on our side

00:54:35.720 to level the playing field.

00:54:37.960 In South Carolina,

00:54:39.180 in fact, today,

00:54:41.500 there's going to be a big bill decided

00:54:44.040 on certificate of need,

00:54:46.380 and I know a lot of people

00:54:47.680 don't know what that is,

00:54:48.840 but basically,

00:54:49.480 if you want to build a hospital

00:54:50.940 in some area,

00:54:52.420 you literally have to get the permission

00:54:55.260 of the incumbent hospitals.

00:54:57.640 Right.

00:54:58.820 It's a racket that the government has set up,

00:55:01.580 and in South Carolina right now,

00:55:04.260 the Senate wants to repeal

00:55:06.180 certificate of need in the entire state,

00:55:08.940 and the majority leader in the House,

00:55:11.400 a Republican,

00:55:12.740 promised to repeal it.

00:55:14.040 But then when he realized

00:55:15.300 that there were enough votes

00:55:16.440 to actually do that,

00:55:17.900 he killed the bill.

00:55:19.580 Well, the South Carolina Freedom Caucus

00:55:21.880 is not taking no for an answer,

00:55:23.580 so they're going to attach an amendment

00:55:26.500 to a new bill that will repeal it,

00:55:29.120 and we're going to find out today

00:55:30.800 if that's successful or not.

00:55:32.440 Wow.

00:55:32.840 But I hope it is.

00:55:34.300 I know here in Texas,

00:55:35.400 my local area wanted to build a hotel,

00:55:38.820 a hospital,

00:55:39.300 and had to get the certificate of need,

00:55:43.400 and the entire thing was just a scam.

00:55:48.300 I mean, people don't understand how many things

00:55:51.440 and how many big businesses

00:55:52.880 have colluded with your state government

00:55:56.980 to get special things that you don't even know about.

00:56:00.720 You just don't know.

00:56:02.400 Yeah.

00:56:03.760 I would call it a soft form of corruption,

00:56:06.860 but maybe it's a hard form

00:56:08.120 because it's happening every day

00:56:11.180 without people knowing about it.

00:56:13.220 But that's what we're trying to change.

00:56:15.140 So if we're able to repeal it today,

00:56:17.800 I think it's going to be a huge victory.

00:56:20.300 And you know,

00:56:21.260 everybody's favorite state,

00:56:22.960 Florida,

00:56:23.440 doesn't have certificate of need,

00:56:25.100 and everything's doing just fine down there.

00:56:27.520 So any excuse that we need it

00:56:30.780 for public health reasons is just nonsense.

00:56:35.540 So we're really excited about it.

00:56:37.740 Okay.

00:56:37.900 So how do people get involved

00:56:39.060 if they want to get involved at all and help?

00:56:42.400 What do they do?

00:56:43.960 So our website is statefreedomcaucus.org,

00:56:47.720 and there you can go and see

00:56:49.260 which state freedom caucuses we have up.

00:56:51.840 We also urge people to recommend

00:56:54.660 state reps in their state.

00:56:56.580 We're having conversations

00:56:58.100 with state lawmakers all across the country.

00:57:00.600 We're not quite to Vermont and Hawaii yet,

00:57:03.540 but we're getting there.

00:57:05.800 And I'll tell you what,

00:57:07.380 there are actual patriots in states like that.

00:57:10.220 Oh, I'm sure.

00:57:11.180 Sometimes I think the liberal states

00:57:13.360 are our best opportunities.

00:57:15.160 Of course.

00:57:15.780 Because the Democrats have been in charge

00:57:17.940 for so long that they've gotten lazy.

00:57:19.980 Yeah, I mean,

00:57:20.560 it's one thing to be a Catholic in Rome,

00:57:25.220 and another thing to be a Catholic in China.

00:57:28.320 You know,

00:57:28.600 when you're not surrounded by it,

00:57:30.680 you have to work for it.

00:57:32.680 And I think I was much sharper

00:57:37.000 when I had to be in New York

00:57:38.920 every single day,

00:57:40.920 you know,

00:57:41.520 battling it out every day,

00:57:43.020 even in the streets

00:57:44.140 and at dinner and everything else.

00:57:45.360 So you can get a little loose

00:57:47.280 if you're in a very conservative area.

00:57:50.660 Yeah, you're in the lion's den.

00:57:52.720 Yes.

00:57:53.040 So I really do have a lot of hope

00:57:55.440 for states like that.

00:57:56.560 In fact, like I mentioned,

00:57:57.520 we just launched the Illinois Freedom Caucus,

00:57:59.780 and those guys are going to fight

00:58:00.920 for right to work,

00:58:02.360 lower taxes.

00:58:03.420 They're going to take on

00:58:04.480 the corrupt pension system there.

00:58:06.500 They've got a lot of work.

00:58:07.820 Yeah, they've got a lot.

00:58:08.760 There's a lot of conservatives

00:58:11.040 in Illinois who need a voice

00:58:13.860 to get behind.

00:58:14.980 Andrew, thank you very much.

00:58:16.280 This is Andrew Roth.

00:58:17.420 He is running the State Freedom Caucus.

00:58:21.160 You can find it

00:58:21.640 statefreedomcaucus.org

00:58:23.520 statefreedomcaucus.org

00:58:25.520 You want to sweep up

00:58:26.480 and clean up your state 0.59

00:58:27.560 and get it back to where it should be.

00:58:30.020 This is a very good start.

00:58:33.380 Bob wrote in about his experience

00:58:35.960 with Relief Factory.

00:58:36.940 He said,

00:58:37.060 I haven't been able to walk

00:58:37.960 without pain for over a year.

00:58:39.700 Then I started taking Relief Factory,

00:58:41.500 and all of a sudden,

00:58:42.180 I'm able to move around again.

00:58:44.420 I can...

00:58:45.020 Ooh, Bob,

00:58:46.780 I don't know if this is a good thing.

00:58:47.640 I can go to the grocery store

00:58:49.100 with my wife again.

00:58:50.740 Oh, man,

00:58:51.280 I'm looking for excuses.

00:58:52.460 I can be out in the sunshine

00:58:53.400 without any of the pain

00:58:54.720 like I was having.

00:58:56.200 Thank you for making

00:58:57.140 this incredible product.

00:58:58.780 Thank you for giving me

00:58:59.900 my life back.

00:59:00.960 Bob,

00:59:01.680 thanks for writing in.

00:59:03.060 It's not a drug.

00:59:04.680 It was developed by doctors,

00:59:06.000 and it has four key ingredients

00:59:07.960 that work with your body

00:59:09.160 to fight inflammation,

00:59:10.440 which causes most of our pain.

00:59:13.180 Three-week quick start

00:59:14.060 developed for you

00:59:14.760 is only $19.95.

00:59:16.120 I didn't take it for a long time

00:59:17.460 because ibuprofen never works for me.

00:59:19.640 It's got to calm down the inflammation,

00:59:21.680 and it never works for me.

00:59:23.020 Nothing.

00:59:24.400 This has four ways

00:59:26.620 to attack inflammation,

00:59:27.740 and I don't know

00:59:28.600 what one of the four

00:59:29.720 is working for me,

00:59:31.220 but one of them really works.

00:59:33.180 Get your life back.

00:59:36.700 800,

00:59:38.480 800,

00:59:39.060 the number four,

00:59:39.960 relief.

00:59:40.600 Relief factor.

00:59:41.880 Feel the difference.

00:59:43.260 10 seconds.

00:59:43.900 Station ID.

00:59:54.860 From the Wall Street Journal,

00:59:56.260 this should wake people up,

00:59:58.600 please.

01:00:00.360 Ideological criteria

01:00:01.680 will now influence

01:00:03.040 the credit ratings

01:00:04.120 of state and local governments

01:00:06.040 thanks to the S&P

01:00:07.760 global ratings.

01:00:09.720 In addition to rating governments

01:00:11.520 on meaningful financial criteria,

01:00:14.860 in March,

01:00:15.960 the biggest of the top three

01:00:17.360 credit rating firms

01:00:18.440 began to apply

01:00:19.560 environmental,

01:00:20.860 social,

01:00:21.420 and governance,

01:00:22.320 or ESG,

01:00:23.380 rating system.

01:00:24.920 So what does this mean?

01:00:26.260 That your town

01:00:27.660 might be financially

01:00:28.880 rock solid.

01:00:30.160 Your state

01:00:30.980 might be rock solid.

01:00:32.720 But do you have

01:00:33.820 non-gender bathrooms

01:00:35.140 in your schools?

01:00:39.140 It's now moving past

01:00:41.340 we're going to boycott

01:00:42.780 the all-star game.

01:00:45.760 Now,

01:00:46.920 your state

01:00:47.900 will lose,

01:00:49.100 not business,

01:00:50.700 financial services

01:00:52.720 unless you play ball.

01:00:56.260 S&P global says

01:00:58.180 it incorporates

01:00:58.860 ESG risks

01:01:00.120 and opportunities

01:01:00.880 into the credit rating

01:01:01.960 analysis of public issuers.

01:01:04.040 This includes

01:01:04.480 ambiguous and open-ended

01:01:05.840 categories such as

01:01:06.820 how a state scores

01:01:07.800 on managing carbon,

01:01:10.380 political unrest

01:01:11.720 stemming from

01:01:12.460 community and social issues,

01:01:14.720 and adverse publicity

01:01:16.000 that results in

01:01:17.180 reputational risk.

01:01:18.540 for all of these states

01:01:25.720 that said,

01:01:26.620 you know,

01:01:27.540 we'll deal with this

01:01:28.480 some other time,

01:01:29.560 you know,

01:01:29.900 they're not going to,

01:01:30.620 this is business doing business.

01:01:32.260 It's now going to

01:01:34.020 cripple your state 1.00

01:01:35.600 if you speak out

01:01:38.120 on an issue

01:01:38.740 on the wrong side,

01:01:39.900 or you don't speak out

01:01:42.160 on an issue

01:01:42.980 on the right side,

01:01:44.740 or you pass

01:01:46.440 some bill

01:01:47.400 that gets

01:01:48.740 national news

01:01:49.960 and it is deemed

01:01:51.080 by the global elites

01:01:53.480 to be on

01:01:54.620 the wrong side,

01:01:56.400 your credit rating

01:01:58.920 of your state

01:01:59.900 or community

01:02:00.680 will go down.

01:02:02.860 You have a school

01:02:04.760 that is up in arms

01:02:06.640 about the school board

01:02:08.040 because of what's

01:02:09.300 being taught.

01:02:10.480 Do you know

01:02:10.760 what this is going to do

01:02:11.480 to the credit rating

01:02:12.320 of Florida?

01:02:13.160 You know

01:02:15.900 what it's going to do

01:02:16.520 to the credit rating

01:02:17.600 of any community

01:02:19.200 or state?

01:02:20.440 Hello, Utah.

01:02:21.540 Where are you?

01:02:23.440 You can find this

01:02:24.480 article, by the way,

01:02:26.140 in the Wall Street Journal.

01:02:27.720 So enough of

01:02:28.900 it's a conspiracy theory.

01:02:30.420 How is it different

01:02:31.160 than the Chinese 0.99

01:02:32.420 social credit score,

01:02:33.560 for example?

01:02:35.420 Well, the Chinese 1.00

01:02:36.240 are all run

01:02:38.040 by communists

01:02:38.840 and so the communists

01:02:39.980 do what they're

01:02:40.680 supposed to do

01:02:41.340 in each province

01:02:42.280 or state.

01:02:43.160 Or they're killed.

01:02:45.520 So no force

01:02:46.880 of violence

01:02:47.520 behind it?

01:02:47.840 No force of violence.

01:02:48.980 But I mean,

01:02:49.560 the social credit score

01:02:50.780 itself.

01:02:50.920 It's exactly the same thing.

01:02:52.680 And it's starting

01:02:53.640 with the states.

01:02:55.160 And it will go to,

01:02:57.140 well,

01:02:57.500 what businesses

01:02:58.180 are you doing?

01:02:59.160 Because remember,

01:02:59.900 the ESG score,

01:03:01.640 you cannot do business

01:03:03.480 with businesses

01:03:04.520 that have a lower

01:03:05.580 ESG score.

01:03:06.940 So this will cut back

01:03:08.520 from state business

01:03:09.800 being done

01:03:10.620 by anybody

01:03:11.560 who's not playing

01:03:12.520 the woke game.

01:03:15.000 You're running

01:03:15.920 out of time,

01:03:17.340 America.

01:03:18.180 You're running

01:03:18.780 out of time.

01:03:21.060 If you don't know

01:03:22.340 what I'm talking,

01:03:23.260 please get my new book,

01:03:25.160 The Great Reset.

01:03:26.920 You know,

01:03:27.460 we have gone from

01:03:28.320 conspiracy theory.

01:03:30.160 It's still called

01:03:30.980 a conspiracy theory.

01:03:31.920 But what the hell

01:03:32.880 is this?

01:03:34.480 Isn't this exactly

01:03:35.720 what I warned of?

01:03:37.440 It's exactly

01:03:38.160 what I told you.

01:03:38.900 And it's now

01:03:39.580 in the Wall Street Journal.

01:03:41.180 And it's currently

01:03:42.500 happening to states

01:03:44.180 because

01:03:45.380 S&P Global

01:03:47.040 said that's the way

01:03:49.140 they're going to start

01:03:49.960 rating the states.

01:03:52.560 Doesn't have,

01:03:53.720 doesn't matter

01:03:54.100 how good your finances are.

01:03:56.060 Are you playing ball

01:03:57.280 with the woke mob?

01:03:59.260 If not,

01:04:00.580 you're out.

01:04:01.280 You better wake up.

01:04:04.220 You better wake up.

01:04:05.520 Conservative states

01:04:06.680 take a stand now

01:04:08.340 or lose.

01:04:18.280 A new report

01:04:19.220 shows that almost

01:04:19.880 71% of Americans

01:04:21.160 feel their paychecks

01:04:22.460 are not going to be able

01:04:24.980 to keep up with inflation.

01:04:26.740 Not just to be able

01:04:28.400 to get ahead,

01:04:29.480 but to just keep up.

01:04:31.280 We all know

01:04:33.380 where this is coming from.

01:04:34.440 The people supposedly

01:04:35.260 fighting inflation

01:04:36.320 are the same ones

01:04:37.220 giving it to us

01:04:38.040 in the first place.

01:04:39.380 You have a responsibility

01:04:40.480 to yourself

01:04:41.440 and your family

01:04:42.260 to do what you can

01:04:43.520 to get ahead

01:04:44.380 while it's still possible

01:04:45.980 to get ahead.

01:04:46.800 This is where American Financing

01:05:31.480 The spirit of America

01:05:44.180 is now wakening.

01:05:46.620 Thank goodness

01:05:47.920 it is starting to happen.

01:05:50.760 Higher education in America

01:05:52.240 is now undergoing a revival

01:05:54.400 and the old system

01:05:55.760 really has been exposed

01:05:58.560 for nothing other than

01:06:00.480 a propaganda machine.

01:06:03.600 So what do you do?

01:06:04.920 What do you do

01:06:05.420 if you're putting your kids

01:06:06.420 in college?

01:06:07.640 This year,

01:06:08.460 Jordan Peterson

01:06:09.300 has left his tenured position

01:06:11.100 of a professor

01:06:12.140 at the University of Toronto

01:06:13.380 and he left

01:06:14.780 because of wokeness

01:06:16.020 and how it has captured

01:06:17.200 our universities.

01:06:18.380 He has just announced

01:06:20.040 that he has been appointed

01:06:21.400 as the chancellor

01:06:22.600 of Ralston College

01:06:24.340 in Savannah, Georgia.

01:06:26.900 Now the people

01:06:27.640 behind Ralston College

01:06:28.840 have been working

01:06:29.360 since 2006

01:06:30.440 to raise funds

01:06:31.540 and receive accreditation

01:06:32.740 as a university.

01:06:33.800 They now offer

01:06:34.840 an MA in humanities.

01:06:37.200 But this is what they wrote

01:06:38.040 on their website.

01:06:39.640 Ralston College

01:06:40.300 is the answer to

01:06:41.520 what exactly?

01:06:43.320 It's no secret

01:06:44.180 that the integrity

01:06:44.960 of higher education

01:06:45.960 in the United States

01:06:46.620 and elsewhere

01:06:47.000 has become questionable,

01:06:48.300 not least because

01:06:49.940 most colleges

01:06:50.600 and universities

01:06:51.260 are no longer places

01:06:52.420 where freedom of inquiry,

01:06:54.360 freedom of speech

01:06:55.320 on which free inquiry depends,

01:06:56.980 are protected,

01:06:58.140 let alone celebrated.

01:06:59.840 Nevertheless,

01:07:00.440 our vocation

01:07:01.160 is not critique

01:07:02.460 but to show another way.

01:07:04.340 Ralston College

01:07:05.080 is devoted absolutely

01:07:06.300 and without qualification

01:07:07.500 to freedom,

01:07:08.980 freedom of thought,

01:07:09.920 freedom of speech,

01:07:10.780 freedom of association,

01:07:11.640 and to all other freedoms,

01:07:14.000 economic, political,

01:07:15.240 religious,

01:07:15.800 that are intrinsic

01:07:16.720 to human nature.

01:07:18.340 So instead of just

01:07:19.280 mourning the loss

01:07:20.480 of higher education,

01:07:21.480 people now are starting

01:07:23.080 to step up

01:07:24.320 and fill the market void.

01:07:27.840 You can think of

01:07:28.740 Barry Weiss

01:07:30.460 or University of Austin.

01:07:33.240 Our nation's future academics

01:07:35.900 cannot be pumped out

01:07:38.180 of left-wing universities.

01:07:40.580 It can't.

01:07:41.680 So this is really good.

01:07:43.440 Your kids can now go

01:07:44.280 to Hillsdale,

01:07:45.540 University of Austin,

01:07:47.160 or Ralston College.

01:07:49.220 That's two more options

01:07:50.340 than you had just two years ago.

01:07:53.420 And it is

01:07:54.520 a fantastic development.

01:07:56.720 Things are changing

01:07:58.000 in America.

01:07:59.300 But then again,

01:08:00.200 we're still having problems.

01:08:01.860 And I want to ask you

01:08:02.940 who we are.

01:08:04.940 There's a baby shortage

01:08:05.880 in America.

01:08:06.820 Not a baby shortage,

01:08:07.620 but a baby formula shortage

01:08:09.120 in America.

01:08:10.120 And I want to talk to you

01:08:11.900 about that

01:08:12.360 at the top of next hour.

01:08:15.060 But I ask you the question,

01:08:16.380 are we going to take

01:08:17.220 that sitting down?

01:08:18.720 Are we just going to sit back

01:08:20.120 and blame the president

01:08:21.420 while parents are going

01:08:23.620 all across town

01:08:25.500 just trying to feed

01:08:26.360 their babies?

01:08:27.840 Are we going to accept

01:08:29.360 the fact

01:08:30.040 that our products

01:08:31.100 aren't made here anymore?

01:08:33.420 That we have to rely

01:08:34.740 on other nations?

01:08:35.580 Are we going to accept

01:08:36.640 the fact

01:08:37.340 that now,

01:08:39.040 now the government

01:08:39.880 is saying,

01:08:40.500 hey, hey, hey,

01:08:41.400 you don't,

01:08:41.880 you better not make

01:08:42.620 your own baby food.

01:08:44.760 Why?

01:08:46.160 We've done it before.

01:08:47.220 They were doing it

01:08:48.360 when I was a kid

01:08:49.100 and, I mean,

01:08:50.120 besides the fact 0.92

01:08:50.840 that I'm nuts, 0.52

01:08:52.260 I mean,

01:08:52.640 I'm,

01:08:53.480 I turned out fine.

01:08:55.740 Our ancestors

01:08:56.980 faced odds

01:08:58.680 and they faced them

01:09:00.200 with tenacity

01:09:00.900 and faith.

01:09:02.360 And we live now

01:09:03.820 better than anyone

01:09:05.600 in the history

01:09:06.420 of the world

01:09:06.960 has ever lived

01:09:07.940 thanks to those people

01:09:10.240 who just

01:09:11.180 did it

01:09:12.440 and didn't wait

01:09:14.060 around for permission.

01:09:15.480 If you happen

01:09:18.800 to be,

01:09:19.280 find yourself

01:09:19.940 in the unsuspecting

01:09:21.360 town of Lockport,

01:09:22.500 New York,

01:09:23.320 there is an even

01:09:25.120 more unsuspecting

01:09:26.440 Cold Spring Cemetery.

01:09:28.780 And if you find

01:09:29.780 yourself there,

01:09:30.460 you're most likely

01:09:31.300 going to walk

01:09:31.900 past the grave

01:09:32.780 of Jesse Hawley

01:09:34.060 without even

01:09:34.980 giving it a second glance.

01:09:36.420 In fact,

01:09:37.660 I mean,

01:09:38.240 you'd never know

01:09:40.120 that this

01:09:41.200 unsuspecting

01:09:43.000 tomb

01:09:43.320 in it

01:09:44.380 is the man

01:09:45.240 who inspired

01:09:45.780 one of the greatest

01:09:46.620 feats

01:09:47.200 in American history.

01:09:48.800 Have you ever even

01:09:49.460 heard of him,

01:09:50.000 Jesse Hawley?

01:09:51.940 200 years ago,

01:09:53.180 Jesse Hawley

01:09:53.700 was an unlucky

01:09:54.680 New Yorker

01:09:55.420 and he was in

01:09:56.420 debtor's prison.

01:09:57.960 He had a flower

01:09:59.180 business that went

01:10:00.080 south

01:10:00.520 and he couldn't

01:10:02.120 afford to

01:10:02.840 keep going.

01:10:06.300 So he had

01:10:07.160 no clear shot

01:10:08.200 to the coast

01:10:09.340 and he had

01:10:12.840 to pay

01:10:13.320 for expensive

01:10:14.080 boat rides

01:10:14.800 to the Atlantic

01:10:15.660 with his freedom

01:10:18.040 because he went

01:10:21.080 into debtor's prison.

01:10:23.160 Debtor's prisons

01:10:23.800 were one of the

01:10:24.520 nastier English

01:10:25.520 ideas that

01:10:26.340 followed us

01:10:27.120 into the new world

01:10:28.020 designed for

01:10:28.800 discomfort.

01:10:30.280 It was the

01:10:30.700 shameful home

01:10:31.600 for any man

01:10:32.200 who fell from grace

01:10:33.160 and landed

01:10:34.080 face first

01:10:34.880 in bills.

01:10:35.880 We didn't have

01:10:37.060 bankruptcy then.

01:10:38.160 As Jesse

01:10:41.200 replayed his

01:10:41.900 fall,

01:10:43.700 one expected

01:10:44.440 theme shaded

01:10:45.140 every single

01:10:45.980 memory and it

01:10:46.940 was infrastructure

01:10:48.080 or lack of it

01:10:48.860 in his case.

01:10:49.800 Lack of

01:10:50.140 infrastructure.

01:10:51.120 He couldn't

01:10:52.000 deliver his

01:10:53.220 goods.

01:10:54.240 That's why his

01:10:55.280 business failed.

01:10:56.980 He needed to

01:10:58.120 get his goods

01:10:58.800 out to the

01:10:59.420 coast and he

01:11:00.020 couldn't and

01:11:00.920 that's why he

01:11:01.640 was in prison.

01:11:02.660 There was no

01:11:03.640 efficient way to

01:11:04.760 travel and

01:11:06.140 that's what

01:11:07.000 caused him

01:11:08.040 bankruptcy.

01:11:10.360 Now if this

01:11:10.700 were today,

01:11:11.440 it just would

01:11:11.900 have been the

01:11:12.260 part of the

01:11:12.580 story where

01:11:13.140 Jesse railed

01:11:14.520 against the

01:11:14.960 system and

01:11:15.440 demanded

01:11:15.820 reparations and

01:11:18.780 if he was the

01:11:19.360 right skin

01:11:19.860 color, maybe

01:11:20.520 some group

01:11:21.400 would rally

01:11:22.800 around him.

01:11:24.180 But he didn't

01:11:25.020 do that.

01:11:26.400 Instead of

01:11:26.940 wallowing,

01:11:28.180 Jesse's

01:11:28.800 realization gave

01:11:29.740 him an idea.

01:11:30.860 It was a

01:11:31.180 brilliant idea.

01:11:33.000 But you can't

01:11:33.700 post bail with

01:11:35.820 a brilliant

01:11:36.560 idea.

01:11:37.340 So he

01:11:38.300 drafted his

01:11:39.540 ingenious,

01:11:41.640 albeit lofty

01:11:43.160 plan from

01:11:44.300 prison.

01:11:45.280 He had lots

01:11:46.080 of time on

01:11:46.680 his hands.

01:11:48.560 He drafted

01:11:49.680 in excruciating

01:11:51.000 detail the

01:11:52.000 plans for a

01:11:52.800 major statewide

01:11:53.720 canal connecting

01:11:55.460 Buffalo with 0.59

01:11:57.380 Lake Erie and

01:11:58.560 Albany with

01:11:59.540 the Hudson

01:11:59.920 River, providing

01:12:00.960 direct connection

01:12:02.500 into Manhattan.

01:12:03.560 He published

01:12:04.960 his plans in

01:12:07.460 the Genesee

01:12:08.540 Messenger under

01:12:09.400 the pseudonym

01:12:10.060 Hercules.

01:12:11.020 Nobody knew

01:12:11.560 that he was

01:12:12.040 actually in

01:12:13.160 prison.

01:12:14.700 Now, perhaps

01:12:15.180 it was luck,

01:12:15.880 perhaps it was

01:12:16.420 destiny, but

01:12:17.240 the future

01:12:17.820 governor of

01:12:18.460 New York just

01:12:19.720 happened to be

01:12:20.220 a reader of

01:12:21.140 the messenger

01:12:21.740 and loved the

01:12:22.840 idea.

01:12:24.280 So now fast

01:12:25.300 forward a few

01:12:25.860 years, July

01:12:26.720 4th, 1817.

01:12:29.320 DeWitt was

01:12:29.840 now the

01:12:30.440 governor of

01:12:31.360 New York.

01:12:31.900 no support

01:12:33.380 from the

01:12:33.780 federal

01:12:34.020 government, no

01:12:35.640 one with any

01:12:36.320 real experience

01:12:37.420 in engineering,

01:12:39.160 endless critiques

01:12:40.280 of naysayers.

01:12:43.120 This July

01:12:44.280 4th was

01:12:45.100 marked with

01:12:45.660 the smell of

01:12:46.200 gunpowder and

01:12:47.080 the sound of

01:12:47.660 dense rocks being

01:12:48.700 blasted into

01:12:49.520 pieces as they

01:12:50.780 broke ground

01:12:51.580 for the first

01:12:52.280 time on the

01:12:53.540 idea of

01:12:54.580 Jesse Holley's

01:12:55.720 called the

01:12:57.280 Erie Canal.

01:12:58.100 at the

01:13:00.500 time, it

01:13:02.860 was a 40

01:13:03.400 foot wide

01:13:03.900 glorified ditch

01:13:05.080 running across

01:13:06.300 New York.

01:13:08.160 Jefferson

01:13:08.480 actually said

01:13:09.900 the idea for

01:13:10.500 the canal was

01:13:11.100 little short of

01:13:11.880 madness, but

01:13:13.900 these were

01:13:14.340 homesteaders,

01:13:15.180 these were

01:13:15.560 farmers, Irish

01:13:16.680 immigrants paid 1.00

01:13:17.900 in whiskey some

01:13:18.900 of the times

01:13:19.460 that actually

01:13:20.740 did it.

01:13:21.780 There were no

01:13:22.140 experts, and

01:13:23.360 despite the

01:13:24.040 odds, it was

01:13:25.700 American ingenuity

01:13:26.960 that opened

01:13:29.020 the Erie Canal

01:13:30.680 and changed

01:13:31.700 America forever.

01:13:33.200 It was

01:13:33.920 completed in

01:13:34.640 1825.

01:13:36.880 It was a

01:13:37.920 success.

01:13:40.880 Immigrants

01:13:41.600 and tourists

01:13:42.440 could go from

01:13:45.040 New York

01:13:45.760 upstate, you

01:13:47.380 could go take

01:13:48.200 your goods

01:13:48.880 downstate to

01:13:50.120 New York.

01:13:52.400 This was

01:13:53.340 dreamt up in

01:13:54.480 a prison by

01:13:55.340 a guy who

01:13:55.760 was bankrupt,

01:13:56.720 carried out

01:13:57.160 by amateurs,

01:13:58.700 and it's

01:13:59.120 an American

01:13:59.620 legacy.

01:14:02.340 You know,

01:14:03.020 one of the

01:14:03.320 reasons maybe

01:14:03.900 why his

01:14:04.720 grave is

01:14:05.440 really kind

01:14:05.980 of unknown

01:14:06.400 and his

01:14:06.840 name is

01:14:07.680 unknown is

01:14:09.820 because a

01:14:10.800 lot of people

01:14:11.340 in America

01:14:11.840 did these

01:14:12.480 very things,

01:14:13.280 the unheard

01:14:13.920 of, the

01:14:14.700 unheard of.

01:14:16.400 It was the

01:14:17.140 crazy idea

01:14:18.300 that made

01:14:19.140 us who we

01:14:19.600 are, flying

01:14:20.300 machines,

01:14:20.880 telephones,

01:14:21.580 assembly lines,

01:14:22.480 skyscrapers.

01:14:23.400 We took

01:14:25.420 it all

01:14:25.720 on.

01:14:27.740 We wouldn't

01:14:28.540 settle for

01:14:29.080 anything less.

01:14:29.720 You know,

01:14:29.920 the torch of

01:14:30.420 the Statue

01:14:30.880 of Liberty

01:14:31.320 is not

01:14:32.680 the torch

01:14:33.300 of freedom.

01:14:34.720 It's the

01:14:35.480 torch of

01:14:36.120 imprisoned

01:14:36.760 lightning,

01:14:39.440 electricity,

01:14:41.140 electricity.

01:14:42.680 What were

01:14:44.180 the Americans

01:14:44.900 going to do

01:14:46.100 with this

01:14:46.940 imprisoned

01:14:47.660 lightning?

01:14:48.320 it's not

01:14:50.880 just a

01:14:51.400 welcome to

01:14:53.000 all from

01:14:54.740 all over

01:14:55.480 the world

01:14:56.100 saying you

01:14:56.660 have a

01:14:57.060 dream.

01:14:57.700 I stand

01:14:58.720 here at

01:14:59.340 the gates

01:15:00.120 and this

01:15:02.780 is a

01:15:03.180 special place

01:15:04.280 and I

01:15:05.400 hold in

01:15:05.780 my hand

01:15:06.240 in prison

01:15:06.820 lightning

01:15:07.420 the idea

01:15:09.160 that you

01:15:09.540 can take

01:15:10.020 something

01:15:10.360 from nature

01:15:11.260 and make

01:15:12.300 it into

01:15:12.660 something

01:15:13.020 that serves

01:15:14.380 mankind.

01:15:15.020 I look

01:15:22.760 at the

01:15:22.960 baby food

01:15:23.680 shortage

01:15:24.020 and it

01:15:24.480 pisses me

01:15:25.060 off. 0.64

01:15:27.860 I look

01:15:28.620 at the

01:15:28.880 shortage

01:15:29.160 of

01:15:29.840 anything

01:15:31.800 in our

01:15:32.660 stores

01:15:32.960 and it's

01:15:33.920 almost

01:15:34.360 everything

01:15:35.100 that we're

01:15:35.520 having

01:15:35.660 and we're

01:15:36.380 at the

01:15:36.900 beginning

01:15:37.340 of it

01:15:37.740 and it

01:15:38.120 pisses

01:15:38.480 me off. 0.64

01:15:39.900 I look

01:15:40.300 at New

01:15:41.200 York

01:15:41.420 hospitals

01:15:41.900 are running

01:15:42.460 shy of

01:15:43.260 XYZ

01:15:44.300 we don't

01:15:45.580 have the

01:15:45.960 right

01:15:46.200 medicine

01:15:46.820 why

01:15:48.140 why

01:15:49.560 and we're

01:15:50.820 all sitting

01:15:51.420 around

01:15:51.980 waiting for

01:15:53.000 the government

01:15:53.580 to do

01:15:54.080 something

01:15:54.640 again

01:15:55.900 why

01:15:56.720 we're the

01:15:58.220 people that

01:15:58.940 despite all

01:15:59.900 odds

01:16:00.600 we took

01:16:01.580 it on

01:16:02.160 we didn't

01:16:03.380 settle for

01:16:04.160 less and

01:16:04.680 that's what

01:16:05.060 they're telling

01:16:05.560 you to do

01:16:06.080 now settle

01:16:06.760 for less

01:16:07.220 Americans

01:16:07.640 have to

01:16:08.440 settle for

01:16:09.000 less

01:16:09.440 no I'm

01:16:10.860 not going

01:16:11.340 to

01:16:11.700 I want

01:16:14.120 that spirit

01:16:14.840 back in

01:16:15.540 America

01:16:15.880 because that's

01:16:16.580 who we

01:16:16.860 are

01:16:17.300 since when

01:16:18.320 are we the

01:16:18.740 people that

01:16:19.140 throw our

01:16:19.580 hands up

01:16:20.160 and accept

01:16:20.560 the new

01:16:21.340 normal

01:16:21.960 why are we

01:16:24.100 willing to

01:16:24.760 sit around

01:16:25.160 waiting for

01:16:25.680 the government

01:16:26.080 to fix

01:16:26.740 it

01:16:27.040 don't

01:16:28.700 lower your

01:16:29.580 standards

01:16:30.160 that's

01:16:30.680 un-American 0.99

01:16:31.260 we don't

01:16:32.140 lower our

01:16:32.900 standards

01:16:33.500 we raise

01:16:34.620 standards

01:16:35.360 and that

01:16:37.180 is our

01:16:38.140 legacy

01:16:38.640 your vote

01:16:41.440 matters

01:16:41.920 what you

01:16:42.360 do with

01:16:42.740 your dollar

01:16:43.300 matters

01:16:44.040 here's some

01:16:44.980 people that

01:16:45.640 raise the

01:16:46.500 standard

01:16:46.940 there is

01:16:47.720 a new

01:16:48.240 economy

01:16:48.760 being built

01:16:49.520 and it's

01:16:50.000 being built

01:16:50.620 in spite

01:16:51.420 of all

01:16:51.960 of the

01:16:52.260 experts

01:16:52.780 and all

01:16:53.720 of the

01:18:08.340 welcome to the

01:18:22.840 Glenn Beck

01:18:23.340 program I want

01:18:24.100 to talk to

01:18:24.440 Robert Kurosaki

01:18:25.280 who is I don't

01:18:28.300 know if you've

01:18:28.620 ever read the

01:18:29.020 book rich dad

01:18:29.640 poor dad but

01:18:31.060 he's great and

01:18:32.120 and a friend and

01:18:33.180 he is kind of

01:18:35.400 given a warning

01:18:36.040 here he said

01:18:38.700 when inflation

01:18:39.540 goes up and

01:18:40.700 it is going to

01:18:41.320 go up he's not

01:18:42.360 talking about

01:18:43.000 this he's talking

01:18:44.240 about what's

01:18:44.760 coming when

01:18:45.920 inflation goes

01:18:46.640 up we're going

01:18:47.220 to wipe out

01:18:47.820 50% of the

01:18:49.380 US population

01:18:50.940 now I know

01:18:55.120 right you have

01:18:56.080 to read that

01:18:56.540 Marvel movie

01:18:57.440 what is this

01:18:58.140 when inflation

01:18:59.320 goes up we're

01:18:59.900 going to wipe

01:19:00.240 out 50% of

01:19:01.420 the US

01:19:01.780 population

01:19:02.420 now you

01:19:04.380 have to you

01:19:05.140 have to read

01:19:05.920 on or you

01:19:07.140 know listen

01:19:07.560 on and I

01:19:08.020 want to make

01:19:08.360 sure that I

01:19:09.720 understand what

01:19:10.320 he's saying but

01:19:11.380 he's saying we

01:19:12.000 don't produce

01:19:12.480 anything in this

01:19:13.060 country anymore

01:19:13.600 we only produce

01:19:14.300 bubbles that's

01:19:15.120 all we produce

01:19:15.780 and he said

01:19:18.260 the Keystone

01:19:19.060 oil pipeline

01:19:20.160 all of the

01:19:22.200 stuff that

01:19:22.700 they're doing

01:19:23.140 with energy

01:19:24.080 now with

01:19:25.500 the food

01:19:26.280 shortages etc etc

01:19:27.800 that are going

01:19:28.260 to come he

01:19:29.300 said we're and

01:19:30.420 I think what he

01:19:31.060 means is we're

01:19:31.820 going to wipe

01:19:32.800 out half the

01:19:33.760 US population

01:19:34.540 meaning we're

01:19:35.760 going to wipe

01:19:36.220 out the

01:19:37.940 savings and

01:19:38.720 retirement and

01:19:39.660 everything else

01:19:40.380 you thought of

01:19:41.340 maybe poorly

01:19:42.720 phrased yeah

01:19:43.780 because it does

01:19:44.480 sound like he's

01:19:45.320 he's planning

01:19:46.440 an extinction

01:19:47.080 level event

01:19:48.040 yeah right

01:19:48.640 well I mean

01:19:50.400 honestly there is

01:19:52.260 one story in

01:19:53.220 the news about

01:19:54.320 Iran that is 0.84

01:19:55.460 an extinction

01:19:56.080 level event

01:19:57.360 they are now

01:20:00.320 actively trying

01:20:04.840 to find the

01:20:07.320 right altitude

01:20:08.460 and equipping

01:20:10.540 equipping their

01:20:11.380 missiles with a

01:20:13.240 nuclear warhead 0.99

01:20:14.300 to blow them 1.00

01:20:16.220 up it only takes

01:20:17.000 three to blow

01:20:17.840 them up at the

01:20:19.320 right altitude

01:20:20.200 over the North

01:20:21.640 American continent

01:20:22.460 that would fry 0.63

01:20:24.120 all of our

01:20:24.860 systems and

01:20:27.260 that's an

01:20:28.040 EMP right

01:20:28.960 and if that

01:20:29.420 happens 90%

01:20:31.160 death rate in

01:20:32.840 the first year

01:20:33.540 because then that's

01:20:34.920 based on a war

01:20:35.540 game that the

01:20:36.240 government did

01:20:36.880 right years ago

01:20:37.680 yeah 90% death

01:20:39.100 rate and it's

01:20:39.780 it's weird if you

01:20:40.840 really I think

01:20:42.040 we're getting less

01:20:42.740 less dependent on

01:20:43.840 technology though

01:20:44.580 oh yeah you know

01:20:45.640 I think we're going

01:20:46.160 the right direction

01:20:46.840 the farm and

01:20:47.720 oh yeah oh

01:20:48.820 yeah all of that

01:20:50.000 stuff can you

01:20:50.700 imagine can you

01:20:52.840 imagine what

01:20:54.200 people what

01:20:55.080 people's lives

01:20:55.700 would look like

01:20:56.220 that no one

01:20:56.740 knows how to do

01:20:57.140 anything I mean

01:20:58.080 include myself I'm

01:20:59.620 like number one on

01:21:00.540 this list I don't

01:21:01.080 know how to do

01:21:01.460 anything no you're

01:21:02.500 not number one I

01:21:03.760 don't think I know

01:21:04.620 how to do things

01:21:05.340 no I'm number one

01:21:06.420 no you're you're

01:21:07.780 too prepared to be

01:21:08.540 number one on this

01:21:09.120 list you've got you

01:21:10.600 know nine you know

01:21:12.340 for the average

01:21:13.320 person nine years

01:21:14.540 of food storage

01:21:15.220 or for you six

01:21:16.140 months of food

01:21:16.800 storage and I

01:21:19.920 think like you you

01:21:20.660 really are prepared

01:21:21.840 like you you've

01:21:22.780 taken a lot of

01:21:23.440 steps the average

01:21:24.120 person has not done

01:21:25.080 those things you

01:21:25.820 can't I mean you

01:21:26.720 can't imagine an

01:21:28.080 EMP there is a

01:21:28.860 great book called

01:21:29.580 one second after

01:21:30.920 and that comes from

01:21:33.220 the EMP the other

01:21:35.160 has you know global

01:21:36.200 energy shortages and

01:21:37.540 that comes from the

01:21:38.220 left and that one's

01:21:39.120 called world made by

01:21:40.220 hand they're both

01:21:41.880 really really good

01:21:43.940 depending on who

01:21:45.800 you're talking to

01:21:46.660 you know for the

01:21:47.300 storyline but you

01:21:49.380 know you don't

01:21:50.100 understand what

01:21:51.400 wiping out our

01:21:52.680 technology really

01:21:54.180 means running out

01:21:55.780 of energy what it

01:21:56.680 means in in one

01:21:59.920 second after it

01:22:01.000 really does a good

01:22:02.080 job of saying oh

01:22:03.440 and after a week

01:22:04.880 those with diabetes

01:22:06.120 start to drop off

01:22:07.900 because there's no

01:22:08.560 refrigeration within

01:22:10.560 you know the first

01:22:11.860 after the first 30

01:22:13.380 days those who are

01:22:14.460 taking psychiatric

01:22:15.460 drugs or heart

01:22:17.160 medicine or any of

01:22:19.100 those things they're

01:22:20.320 no longer being

01:22:21.040 delivered you can no

01:22:22.060 longer get them

01:22:22.920 those people start to

01:22:24.480 die it's it's 0.87

01:22:25.820 amazing how many

01:22:26.920 people are alive

01:22:27.960 that wouldn't be if

01:22:30.140 it wasn't for what

01:22:31.020 modern technology and

01:22:32.320 I mean modern

01:22:32.900 technology of just

01:22:33.840 being able to go to

01:22:34.480 your CVS or

01:22:35.260 Walgreens how long

01:22:36.420 until tick tock goes

01:22:37.400 away because we

01:22:38.060 cannot live apparently

01:22:40.040 just judging by my

01:22:41.520 household we can't

01:22:42.300 live about 30 seconds

01:22:43.420 without it yeah I

01:22:44.740 don't think it ever

01:22:45.340 goes away I think

01:22:46.180 cockroaches and tick

01:22:47.440 tock this is the

01:22:50.340 Glenn back program

01:22:51.560 got no room to compromise

01:23:12.960 compromise we gotta stand

01:23:17.260 together what you are about

01:23:35.080 to hear is the fusion of

01:23:42.320 hello America baby

01:23:48.480 formula really America

01:23:53.080 has America has a

01:23:55.520 shortage of baby

01:23:57.320 formula and what's being

01:24:00.500 done about it well

01:24:02.840 there's a lot of well

01:24:04.260 there's a there's a lot

01:24:05.340 of wringing of hands and

01:24:08.360 and Biden said that it

01:24:09.680 was gonna get tough if

01:24:10.680 we went against you

01:24:12.340 know Vladimir Putin is

01:24:14.260 that is this what he

01:24:15.040 meant or oh no no no

01:24:17.720 it's the government

01:24:18.460 they they still haven't

01:24:20.060 come out with their

01:24:20.660 investigation of one of

01:24:22.680 the baby formula

01:24:23.480 factories so what is it

01:24:26.740 that America can do

01:24:28.580 instead of sitting around

01:24:30.900 whining about it and

01:24:32.620 making parents honestly if

01:24:35.560 I had a newborn especially

01:24:37.500 one that had special needs

01:24:39.340 of the formula of certain

01:24:41.120 sort I would be losing my

01:24:43.480 mind right now so is there

01:24:46.340 anything we can do we go

01:24:48.720 there in 60 seconds so what

01:24:53.120 is it that truly motivates our

01:24:54.480 kids what shapes them well I

01:24:57.240 will tell you experiences

01:24:58.800 experiences and things that

01:25:01.020 excite their imagination I

01:25:02.560 knew I wanted to be in radio

01:25:03.960 when I was eight years old my

01:25:06.080 eighth birthday my mom got me a

01:25:07.800 record set called the golden

01:25:09.320 years of radio and I sat there

01:25:11.140 and I listened to all of

01:25:12.400 these these great old radio

01:25:14.880 shows and I it it set my

01:25:17.800 imagination on fire with the

01:25:19.840 spoken word that's what I

01:25:22.400 wanted to do now what is

01:25:25.580 setting your kids mind on fire I

01:25:27.740 mean you know besides tick tock

01:25:29.360 which is you know nothing more

01:25:30.700 than a Trojan horse for China but

01:25:33.040 don't worry about it everybody's

01:25:34.860 using it

01:26:14.440 Deseret News editor of Heroes of

01:26:17.020 Liberty book series and the latest

01:26:18.980 target last night of a man once known

01:26:23.240 as Keith Oberman I mean he's I sure

01:26:28.380 of these that's is still his name but

01:26:29.960 most people don't know his name

01:26:31.420 anymore we'll get into that here in

01:26:33.560 a second Bethany welcome thank you

01:26:36.120 so much for having me you bet you

01:26:37.600 bet so we were talking about this

01:26:39.020 yesterday in a meeting and I don't

01:26:41.940 understand it the baby formula

01:26:44.860 shortage I don't know why nobody is

01:26:48.440 doing anything about it and I don't I

01:26:51.700 really this bothers me that we're

01:26:54.160 living in a country that is now just

01:26:57.160 expected to you know get over it you

01:27:00.420 know if you know and that that's not

01:27:03.040 America so what oh no it's not so

01:27:06.480 what's happening with this take us from

01:27:08.640 the problem to possible solutions sure

01:27:12.800 so I mean everyone is having supply

01:27:15.500 chain issues across the board from you

01:27:17.540 know everything from lumber to you know

01:27:19.720 the car chips yeah so I mean it turns out

01:27:24.240 that there are consequences to shutting

01:27:25.820 down your economy

01:27:26.660 shocking yeah talking probably to all

01:27:30.680 your listeners but there are unintended

01:27:32.000 consequences to such an action and this

01:27:34.640 is one of those unintended consequences

01:27:36.200 almost 50% of the baby formula that our

01:27:39.320 babies in America use is made in China

01:27:42.060 and you know Shanghai is currently locked

01:27:45.020 down you can't get things on and off both to

01:27:47.660 and from China so there's a lot of that

01:27:50.240 going on there's a lot of sort of staffing

01:27:53.780 issues across the board that are leading

01:27:56.500 you know to to drug stores and all these

01:27:59.640 department stores having a hard time getting

01:28:01.220 things on the shelves but the sort of major

01:28:03.880 precipitating factor was a massive recall at

01:28:07.100 one of the biggest formula companies called

01:28:09.660 Abbott and they found that there was a

01:28:13.440 bacteria that had made its way into the

01:28:15.360 formula can that was extremely dangerous to

01:28:18.060 babies and two babies died so it wasn't a

01:28:21.520 super duper overreaction on their part but

01:28:23.880 they decided to in my personal opinion do a

01:28:28.900 recall that was maybe a little bit too broad

01:28:30.880 and they pulled a lot of formula off the

01:28:34.420 shelves and there was no real plan for what

01:28:37.500 do we how do we replace it in the

01:28:40.320 marketplace and so there's also not really

01:28:43.000 been a plan to test the formula that they

01:28:45.220 pulled off the shelf to see if it was in

01:28:46.920 fact safe and it wasn't hang on just a

01:28:49.160 second but it wasn't it wasn't that they

01:28:51.020 just pulled this all off they also shut the

01:28:53.900 factory down and the factory still not

01:28:56.200 operating yeah because they had to clean

01:28:59.240 it there was a bacterial infection so severe

01:29:01.320 that it killed two babies and hospitalized I

01:29:03.860 think six so I mean it was it was a really

01:29:07.020 serious thing and parents have to know that

01:29:08.640 you know what they're feeding their baby

01:29:09.920 is safe but this is sort of the lack of

01:29:12.380 urgency that we see on the part of the

01:29:14.020 government in so many ways that we've really

01:29:17.440 gotten a window into in the last two years a

01:29:20.360 total lack of urgency to treat this as as a as

01:29:24.520 an emergency one of my sort of favorite stories

01:29:27.840 about this is during COVID we learned that the

01:29:32.880 vaccine was somewhat dangerous to teenage boys

01:29:35.920 that it was causing heart issues and they the

01:29:39.300 sba scheduled a meeting three weeks away on

01:29:42.040 juneteenth and then when juneteenth became a

01:29:44.900 national holiday they were like you know we're

01:29:47.540 going to honor that holiday we're just going to

01:29:49.300 push it back another few weeks and so we were

01:29:52.740 administering a vaccine to teenage boys that was

01:29:55.480 potentially you know life-threatening to their

01:29:57.640 hearts and sba pushed it off for five weeks and

01:30:00.080 that that sort of lack of urgency and government

01:30:02.020 bureaucracy that we saw with you know hearts of

01:30:04.760 teenage boys we're seeing the same thing with

01:30:06.700 formula right now so you know it's crazy this is

01:30:09.540 why you know a centralized planning never works

01:30:13.080 it just never works because the people in charge

01:30:17.180 of all of it that have to give the go-aheads and

01:30:19.820 everything else they're government workers and

01:30:22.940 not necessarily you know uh the fastest or

01:30:26.800 understand the concerns down the down the line

01:30:30.080 competent let's be honest what'd you say

01:30:32.620 we're the most competent let's be honest yeah all of

01:30:36.240 us have sat in the dmv before and those those

01:30:38.400 the people right now who are sitting on the

01:30:41.060 manufacturers so like ability to get food out

01:30:44.580 what is the company waiting for from the

01:30:48.420 government i mean they have to get the okay that

01:30:51.920 everything is safe and that everything is

01:30:53.480 sanitary and that they can you know release

01:30:55.600 everything that they've pulled off the shelves

01:30:57.560 so have they so they have completed the company has

01:31:00.820 completed everything it was supposed to we're just waiting for inspectors

01:31:04.620 basically yeah oh my gosh oh my gosh

01:31:09.580 so i mean they are ramping up they say i mean

01:31:13.540 the issue is also you know they they are ramping up

01:31:16.780 um production but um they're afraid to sort of pour more money into it because

01:31:22.500 then it's going to increase the cost of formula which has already gone up

01:31:25.520 significantly with inflation and so you know this is something the

01:31:28.640 biden administration can do they can say we will pay the difference

01:31:31.900 we will get more people in so that you're running 24 7 and

01:31:36.340 the we will foot the bill we just we need a formula affordable formula

01:31:41.780 produced right now today and we will do whatever it takes to make that happen

01:31:46.500 because this is a priority and babies are our most precious natural resource

01:31:50.320 and you're not hearing that from the biden administration

01:31:52.480 and you would be yeah i'm quite surprised because that sounds like a public private

01:31:57.140 partnership and they love those

01:31:59.920 yep okay so what is it that parents can do because i'm seeing all these warnings

01:32:06.100 no don't don't do anything what i'm not going to let my baby starve

01:32:10.520 and i'm pretty sure that i mean i was probably getting a little whiskey

01:32:16.060 in uh my nipple when i was you know growing up with a bottle um uh you know

01:32:22.420 they had to have done a lot pardon me it does explain a lot um but there had to be

01:32:27.920 things that you know we were feeding our kids back in the day before formula

01:32:32.180 that we can do again not for every child the special needs children but

01:32:36.840 for the regular baby so i'm gonna push back a little bit on you with that so

01:32:42.760 most regular babies who don't have special needs

01:32:46.600 there's enough switching that you can do that you can find an alternative

01:32:50.460 if like you know the cvs brand is an in stock you could get like the target

01:32:55.460 like there there's some wiggle room okay so it's not a shortage

01:32:59.060 oh it's not a shortage for average babies as well

01:33:02.880 so it is but not nearly to the extent that it is for babies who are on special formula

01:33:08.280 the special formula shortage is particularly acute

01:33:12.120 um and those are the majority of the parents that i'm hearing really panicked

01:33:15.840 like the the parents with the average baby

01:33:18.580 no health needs just can take formula um they can they can sort of run around

01:33:24.060 to different stores and usually find something in stock

01:33:26.340 not saying that that's right and that you know whatever but yeah but it's not a

01:33:29.560 panic situation right right and and i and i think that that's

01:33:33.020 if i were that parent that is what i would do

01:33:36.260 um the the formulation of formula is really specific

01:33:41.300 and there are a lot of different uh minerals and nutrients that are in there

01:33:46.580 that you can't just do at home or you you might not get precise

01:33:50.580 i spoke to a pediatrician actually in texas

01:33:53.320 my name is whitney morgan and um and she told me you know i i've seen babies come into my office

01:33:58.360 and i've seen babies die when i was working in a hospital

01:34:01.060 their parents tried to stretch a formula can and put more water in

01:34:05.300 and it messes up their electrolytes very quickly

01:34:08.000 and it can lead to hospitalization and death

01:34:10.360 um more easily than than i think any people anyone wants to consider

01:34:15.340 um but also one of the sort of scary things is you know all of these

01:34:19.260 recipes and i sent her one of those recipes and i said what do you think about

01:34:22.840 this sort of break break down the recipe and

01:34:25.820 she said it is lacking in um a couple nutrients that

01:34:29.620 you know in the short term will absolutely keep a baby alive but

01:34:32.920 in five months we're going to notice some cognitive

01:34:35.400 issues that um are now you know permanently

01:34:39.440 in place because this baby was not getting the brain food that they needed

01:34:43.140 basically um so you know a lot of a lot of

01:34:46.620 people you know grew up on this homemade formula but a lot of people didn't grow up

01:34:50.860 um there's there there's a lot of room for error and we saw that room for error with

01:34:56.880 what happened in the abbott formula company that you know they were they had the best

01:35:02.120 safety protocols in the world and two babies died of the bacterial infection

01:35:05.700 um so i i would really really caution parents against um diying formula because it can go

01:35:12.220 really wrong really fast um and i think it's more dangerous than than the shortage

01:35:16.700 that's not an answer i wanted

01:35:19.720 but i'm glad you told me the truth i i just

01:35:25.540 i mean we don't understand how blessed we have been

01:35:30.100 uh as we are losing things nobody thinks a baby formula

01:35:34.300 as i mean this this is you know you if if this would become acute uh for a long period of time

01:35:43.460 it would change uh our society a lot of babies would die or i mean it's

01:35:51.020 you don't even think of that because we're so used to having it

01:35:54.580 yeah no absolutely one of the first things that i i i have five kids and i i mostly breastfeed but

01:36:00.400 i also understand that like life happens and one of the first things i did when covid started was

01:36:05.220 buy a couple of cans of formula just in case because we saw things flying off the shelves and

01:36:10.100 i was like you know what i'm just gonna have a couple cans i'm breastfeeding my baby right now but

01:36:14.000 life happens things can change and um this is one thing that i'm scared of um i'm scared of

01:36:20.140 flying off the shelves okay um let me switch topics uh you were can you give me the the the tweet here still

01:36:29.820 uh from keith oberman i don't know i mean i guess he's just sad in his nursing home

01:36:36.620 tweeting things out but he he came after you yesterday because you were homeschooling actually

01:36:42.720 a mother's on mother's day perfect yeah that's good uh after bethany had responded to steve steve

01:36:48.560 schmidt tweet he uh keith oberman said i imagine putting homeschool mom in your bio and not understanding

01:36:54.640 you've just ruined the lives of five innocent children this guy's the worst that's incredible

01:37:02.940 yeah i mean he's like a really sad human being honestly like we have this sort of saying in

01:37:09.960 yiddish like nebah like oh it's like poor soul and that's honestly how i feel about him like 0.95

01:37:14.620 he i don't know if you remember he went after mitt romney um at christmas time last year

01:37:20.080 romney posted a picture of his like beautiful enormous family that's like perfect in every way

01:37:25.780 right and he tweeted something like this is like my worst nightmare or something and it's like that

01:37:29.520 really says a lot about you that's sad it's really sad and anybody who can't see that homeschooling

01:37:36.880 i mean just what we've learned about the teachers unions and and crt and and sel all of these things

01:37:45.820 how do you not see that putting your your kids in the wrong school is much much worse much worse yeah

01:37:55.920 yeah i mean i live in montgomery county maryland and the test scores that have been released about

01:38:02.300 what happened over the last two years are mind-blowing like oh i know the the the abilities of children

01:38:10.980 in middle school to do math went from like they were testing at like 60 70 percent um to about

01:38:17.900 five percent on on level i will tell you across the board oh i know i'll tell you i'm having a hard

01:38:23.220 time with my kids in high school because they're just they're they just it it's like they just lost

01:38:30.960 i don't know well they did they lost two years and it they're just just struggling so hard to get

01:38:39.340 anything back we've just destroyed a generation yeah no we absolutely have thank you so much i

01:38:45.960 appreciate it bethany god bless thank you so much you bet uh you can uh find her at her website

01:40:40.180 council uh that uh russia has just vacated uh will it be venezuela cuba oh they're already on

01:40:48.280 who else could it possibly be it might be you know it might be you know that group of nazis that

01:40:56.400 escaped and are in you know the jungles of argentina that's uh might be might be those guys you think

01:41:03.400 yeah you never know stew you never know no you well sometimes you know you know there are times that

01:41:10.320 you do know all right so where do you want to uh i have so sophie's choice happening here i have

01:41:18.700 uh the world in war or i have the economy that we haven't really hit yet gosh those are both

01:41:28.260 really important ones uh you know the war is i think can wait a day don't you think i mean what's

01:41:35.660 going on over there i mean not if you happen to be a mario pole yeah then you probably think it's

01:41:40.140 probably pretty bad um but yeah the economy i think is is is the bigger burning story right now

01:41:45.280 because of all the markets tanking i mean we're seeing this in big in the in the regular stock

01:41:51.940 markets we're seeing in the crypto markets we're seeing it everywhere all at once and it does feel

01:41:56.920 like we're leading towards something ugly bad bad well first of all on the markets the reason why the

01:42:03.480 markets are going down anybody because the treasury and the fed are no longer in uh investing in the

01:42:17.160 market that was something the fed never did but when the stock market got to be a little dicey and a

01:42:24.420 little rough the fed decided to print up some money and invest in the stock market now they're having to

01:42:31.960 sell those stocks and so it's kind of like a free market again so all of that free money is some of

01:42:40.880 it some of it is going away and that's what's happening and you may have missed this if you

01:42:47.680 watch mainstream media oh yeah but there was a debate a while ago about whether inflation was going to be

01:42:53.660 transitory and uh everyone on the mainstream media said it was and everyone in the administration said it

01:43:00.040 was and you probably said it wasn't you won that debate i don't know if people even realize this

01:43:07.200 but like they're not even trying to say it anymore they have now acknowledged okay we were wrong on that

01:43:12.860 now you're seeing people like powell uh making moves and you know he's a he is a he looks back at what

01:43:21.460 happened in the reagan administration for example when inflation was turned around in a positive light he

01:43:26.360 looked at that and said you know he's an acolyte of that school of thought oddly now he didn't do it

01:43:32.160 early on now you're at the point where you have to have bite the biden administration helping to

01:43:37.700 manage that process and that's terrifying it was scary when reagan did it honestly absolutely terrifying

01:43:42.620 and it's worse now because they're out of options when you just if you just know what's happening in

01:43:50.000 japan and how japan is spiraling uh now and on the edge and can't pay their bills unless they continue

01:43:59.520 to get bailed out by the fed uh and the fed can't do it because they already gave them seven trillion

01:44:08.000 dollars uh at the end of last year oh you didn't know that seven trillion dollars they can't do it

01:44:14.580 anymore or it'll cause more inflation here we're kind of at the end of the road uh at least it

01:44:20.200 wasn't a hundred trillion dollars could have been a hundred trillion the glenn back program why stop

01:44:25.660 there american financing nmls 182334 www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org so when the

01:44:32.920 when the fed says they're going to fight inflation it's ridiculous on how far behind they already are

01:44:39.440 in reality their lack of movement has cost all of us and it's going to make your credit card debt

01:44:45.540 much more expensive if you thought 19 percent was high wait until you see what happens happens in the

01:44:51.080 coming weeks and months uh already uh to borrow money for um a refi of your house the average is now

01:45:00.540 six point five point six five i think five and a half percent now that's bad if you're wanting to buy a

01:45:08.660 house but if you want to pay off your uh credit cards for a refi that's fantastic five percent five

01:45:17.700 and a half percent as opposed to 19 you can pay those things off stay in your budget and then once

01:45:25.980 they're paid off you can actually save more money it's american financing they'll help you just call them

01:45:45.420 so yesterday the mayor of chicago who's done a bang-up job i mean who could possibly say

01:46:13.220 something in a negative way about the performance of mayor lightfoot and she's done it with elegance

01:46:19.660 and beauty and class and beauty and beauty and beauty and class and beauty so she's done all of

01:46:28.000 that and so much more and then yesterday she came out with a statement uh that uh said you know it's it's

01:46:36.680 time to fight you gotta fight now is the time to fight fight fight uh and so you know everybody's

01:46:45.280 all up in arms about you know let's fight she said to my friends in the lgbtq plus community supreme

01:46:52.000 court is coming for us next now that doesn't sound like they're all gonna put you in chains

01:46:57.800 does he does anybody ever notice that these things don't happen is anybody like you know

01:47:07.380 that didn't happen you know there is that weird attention span thing that i think if we came up

01:47:13.340 with a way to solve it our society would be in a much better place these stories that come up they're

01:47:19.420 the biggest story in the world we have an opinion on it they have an opinion on it and then it just

01:47:24.780 kind of goes away it's like the transitory inflation thing like that was a big story we kept saying it's

01:47:30.760 not transitory and then it was just settled but there was never a point where people said oh well

01:47:36.500 you know glenn beck really nailed that one that doesn't happen no that that you know if it would

01:47:41.000 just happen you know you know why because we're all dory the goldfish we're all we're all dory

01:47:47.540 yeah what were we talking about that would that i i will say no i do have two young children but i

01:47:55.740 don't quite she was forgetful right does that yes was that it like she would she had short-term 0.99

01:48:00.820 memory problems is that it okay i have short-term memory problems hey i'm dory i have short-term

01:48:07.600 memory problems that's the way it happened over and over again okay sarah's saying she's not a goldfish

01:48:12.400 so you may not a goldfish she's a whatever fish she's a cartoon sarah let it go the point anyway

01:48:20.440 is that that would be like there are certain things that we can all talk about that would

01:48:24.660 really improve our society man that would be a great one it would be just like okay hey everybody

01:48:30.380 let's look back at that thing we were all talking about incessantly three months ago yeah but we don't

01:48:37.540 and how did that turn out and how should we adjust the next our perception of the next story based on

01:48:44.820 what we learned wouldn't that be really interesting well it would be great if our society would do that

01:48:51.060 it would be interesting too if just somebody just had a sense of memory in themselves but i don't think

01:48:59.840 people see the i just don't think they see the hypocrisy in themselves making such a big deal out of

01:49:07.060 calling for violence on january 6th use me as an example the new york times used me as the prime

01:49:15.140 example this is so frustrating of uh of january 6th and that's not what i said here's what the new

01:49:21.220 york times two days before a mob of trump supporters invaded the united states capital upending the

01:49:25.480 nation's peaceful transition and power leaving five people dead the right-wing radio star glenn beck

01:49:29.760 delivered a message to his flock of 10.5 million listeners it's time to fight time to rip and claw

01:49:36.840 rake beck said it's time to go to war as the left went to war four years ago now as the left went to

01:49:44.860 war four years ago clear what i said but not in this particular context we talked to the new york times

01:49:53.220 for a week leading up to this article we gave them the tapes we told them exactly what it was we gave

01:49:59.560 them the actual quotes they refused to print them until a correction two days later mr beck did not

01:50:06.880 lobby for his listeners to invade the capital and a day later he urged marchers to really kind of

01:50:11.460 channel your inner martin luther king that's just uh adding that violence is just not who we've ever

01:50:16.920 been but the language he used on his january 4th show was typical aggressive rhetoric you you i mean you

01:50:25.480 guys blew this you should have given him the january 5th show when you specifically said not to even go

01:50:32.240 to the event this is before it was a riot right we were just like look there could be problems yeah

01:50:36.780 and i don't think it's a good idea to even go to the january 5th uh 6th rally yeah and uh oh you

01:50:43.680 that's right you did give them that i did and they didn't put that in at all and i decided to skip the

01:50:48.780 january 5th show to include the january 4th show where you weren't talking about going to the riot

01:50:54.440 right or the rally and the uh the other was the january 6th transcript also anyway right where you

01:51:01.180 said it was uh what was going on was terrible so i'm looking at my tweets from january 6th i'm looking

01:51:06.980 at other people that have uh tweeted on january 6th and it's uh it's quite amazing how all of these

01:51:15.200 people all of these people here's ted cruz those storming the capital need to stop now the constitution

01:51:20.680 protects peaceful protests but violence from the left and right is always wrong so they need to stop

01:51:26.540 now and it's always wrong and yet ted cruz you know he's a maniac but look at what you know lightfoot

01:51:36.100 is saying up in chicago look that president biden is not condemning the i believe terrorist activities

01:51:45.840 of those who are marching in i mean what is the definition of terrorism it's to gain it's to get

01:51:52.520 a political viewpoint changed into the favor of the people causing terror well if i'm in one of those

01:52:02.140 houses with the supreme court or even in the neighborhood i feel terrorized 100 what it is it is

01:52:08.540 and we should remind people that this has not even occurred yet this these protests this you know

01:52:16.780 firebombing of pro-life centers is occurring before the ruling has come out it's not even official

01:52:24.080 right it's a draft we have no idea what it's going to look like it could overturn roe versus weight it

01:52:28.680 might change we have no idea so during the protest on january 6th here's what kevin mccarthy

01:52:35.120 that radical extremist this what he said what is unfolding is unacceptable and unamerica unamerican

01:52:42.220 it has to stop hmm because that's weird i haven't heard the white house say these things

01:52:51.300 why we know why and it's about time america starts just feeling comfortable saying it

01:53:01.360 because the democratic party has been taken over by absolute radical marxists who are looking to

01:53:10.220 destroy our country and our unity that's what's happening and i don't put all democrats into that

01:53:18.400 i think a lot of democrats you know just look at the democratic party as the democratic party used to

01:53:25.840 be a lot of people are just getting their their news from uh oh i don't know twitter facebook

01:53:34.260 tick tock and they don't realize what's about to happen and so they'll just listen to more of these

01:53:43.060 lies you can't lie the way this administration lies i mean don't get me wrong there's lots of times

01:53:52.060 that i would watch donald trump and be like that's not right no that's not right but donald trump and

01:53:59.520 it's not what about ism at all he should have done it i wish he wouldn't have uh but you know with

01:54:07.320 donald trump you know that going in you know that going in has anybody believed that everything

01:54:16.140 he has ever built is actually the most luxurious the best of fill in the blank how dare ever how

01:54:27.300 dare you yeah you typical anti-trump extremist i know no but i mean you know that's he's look he

01:54:34.040 described that process in his book yes i read the art of the deal when i was like 12 yeah and he goes

01:54:40.200 through that specifically he he talks about how you know you you exaggerate knowingly it's just part

01:54:50.440 of the process it's part of how you do it and then you have to look at everything he says in that

01:54:55.460 context because usually there's some sort of negotiation behind it that's usually you know

01:55:01.480 usually the way he works and that's okay you know i mean i think we all understand that with donald trump

01:55:06.020 you know we're told though these other guys are nothing but truth tellers and man if i don't see

01:55:10.660 just as much exaggeration from them as we'd ever see from donald trump no and i also see actual

01:55:16.800 dangerous lies dangerous lies uh what we're doing with uh oil and gas is not affecting this at all this

01:55:26.900 is all putin that's a dangerous lie that one's in particularly in particular bizarre because he went

01:55:35.840 to his own voters and said to elect me i will stop fossil fuels in 10 years right like i will i will

01:55:45.320 not do all these crazy things they're doing to expand fossil fuel use and then he comes back to

01:55:50.700 the american people when their gas prices are high and says i have done nothing to affect these prices

01:55:55.200 i've done nothing to affect the supply in fact we have more supply now than ever and it's just these

01:56:00.440 these oil companies that just won't pump the oil and then he goes back to his side and says these oil

01:56:06.780 companies all they want to do is pump oil because they're so greedy i mean he's saying the exact opposite

01:56:14.520 i know because and no one calls him on and this is the problem we have an opportunity to get out of this

01:56:22.020 right now we could supply the world with oil and energy we could supply our farmers

01:56:32.920 with oil and energy but we choose not to so we are going to go through really tough times mark this

01:56:43.820 down on your calendar i believe in the next two years we are going to see massive starvation

01:56:52.100 hopefully not in this hemisphere but absolutely positively for sure we will see starvation like we 0.54

01:57:03.260 haven't seen perhaps even in our lifetime massive starvation and that's not counting what won't be seen

01:57:13.180 in china but on the african continent and here's the worst part of it we all know it's coming 1.00

01:57:21.220 anybody who is paying attention knows it's coming

01:57:25.500 and what are we doing about it

01:57:29.180 we're intentionally sabotaging our own farmers and our own energy system so when the time comes when all

01:57:41.260 of these people are starving remember it was the conservatives who were standing up going guys

01:57:49.340 you are going to kill people with this you are going to be responsible for the deaths of millions

01:57:57.940 we are not going to be in the position to help like we have in the past and that is the biggest

01:58:06.180 american tragedy oh and by the way other countries south of our border will also be starving

01:58:13.460 and how are we going to help them or will we just allow them to come across and help themselves

01:58:22.100 this we are setting ourselves up for something beyond the great depression

01:58:31.380 i just hope that those within the sound of my voice are taking this next election seriously

01:58:41.900 and i say that knowing that many people in congress and the senate listen to this program

01:58:48.100 you have no idea what's about to hit you guys you have no idea

01:58:53.540 we have got to start where is the plan from the republicans where is it

01:59:02.340 back in a minute

01:59:04.940 so may i suggest that you make a plan um i just read an article from um uh kawasaki the uh

01:59:16.060 writer of rich man uh rich uh rich dad poor dad and uh in it he said

01:59:22.140 silver and gold he just bought 2500 uh ounces of silver recently he said i think silver is

01:59:31.300 underpriced right now and i think it's going to play a very important role i think so too

01:59:36.060 i think so too um silver is going to be very important in the future because you can use it

01:59:43.580 to make things but also you can use it to trade for things if things got really bad gold line right

01:59:51.080 now is giving away their most popular products ever the silver maple flex bar i think that's two

01:59:57.140 ounces of uh silver it's uh minted by the canadian mint and with every gold legal tender bar pack you

02:00:05.020 acquire you're going to receive a free maple flex uh silver bar at no cost last time this uh offer

02:00:13.020 was presented a years ago they sold out in about three days what this is is a gold they're like gold

02:00:19.120 chiclets they're small broken up pieces of gold that are again made i think from the canadian mint so

02:00:26.380 they're all measured and weighted and marked and they're in small amounts so you could use them

02:00:32.540 should the crap hit the fan but also silver as well so you get the silver with the gold you get the

02:00:41.120 silver for free call them right now do your own homework please 866 gold line 866 gold line or 0.95

02:00:48.180 gold line dot com the glenn back program

02:00:51.520 hey if you love meat expect to be poorer um it looks like we are headed now for the

02:01:16.560 meat prices that will be the highest level in generations in generations um that's you know

02:01:25.520 that's good that's good uh you know i'm sure the inflation on the meat prices that's you know just

02:01:31.180 temporary it's just gonna transitory yeah transitory uh we're looking now another six to seven percent

02:01:37.460 more for beef uh pork products increase about five percent and uh chicken more than eight percent

02:01:44.800 uh and uh you know of course you know if you're eating out that's going to be even more expensive

02:01:50.060 the problem is there's a shortage of just a couple of things um labor fuel okay so that's not feed over

02:01:59.200 that too yeah and fertilizer and that's it yeah that's it okay we got plenty of ranchers we got plenty 0.74

02:02:04.840 of ranchers and uh they have the cows they just can't afford to feed them now here's the good news

02:02:10.220 um while prices uh beef in store you know in stores is uh increasing uh there's no additional

02:02:17.640 profits that are being made by the ranchers so the ranchers are struggling they're not there's none of

02:02:23.160 that grease you know nobody's getting rich on this which is nice um and because the feed costs are so high

02:02:31.120 they decided to plant a lot of soybean instead of um corn but that while that's good because they

02:02:42.820 don't have to have more fertilizer corn also feeds you know a lot of the chickens and and stuff like

02:02:52.040 that and so we're gonna have less corn um you know next year and uh also that affects the

02:03:00.580 cattle feed as well but other than that the price soon is gonna come down the glenn back program
