00:00:00.000 We'll be right back.
00:00:30.000 Stand up straight and hold the line.
00:00:35.240 It's a new day, I'm time to rise.
00:00:41.660 What you are about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.
00:00:47.560 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:00:53.040 It is indeed the Glenn Beck Program.
00:00:55.280 Jeff Katz happened to be sitting in for Glenn.
00:00:57.640 Welcome to 2023 as Dictated by Colorado.
00:01:02.840 Now, I've not spent a huge amount of time in Colorado, although I think the last time I was there, it's the Pepsi Arena, right?
00:01:09.120 I was there for the coronation.
00:01:13.060 That's what, no, not King Charles, Barack Obama.
00:01:15.200 They had these big, goofy styrofoam columns and just all sorts of bizarre stuff going on, including, this is the best part.
00:01:25.640 This is what I remember about Denver, about that Pepsi Arena and the nomination of Barack Obama.
00:01:34.080 I remember all of the trash cans, except they weren't really trash cans.
00:01:40.080 They were trash cans, but each of them was labeled.
00:01:43.520 And this was for recycling cardboard.
00:01:46.760 And this was for recycling cardboard that didn't, well, didn't look like the other cardboard in the other can.
00:01:52.260 And then this one was for recycling plastic.
00:01:57.040 And there was one to recycle the plastic that didn't fit in the bin that was to recycle plastic.
00:02:03.020 And then there was finally trash.
00:02:05.840 Guess what I did?
00:02:08.100 I followed the truck.
00:02:09.720 I followed these guys from the arena as they took all the bins and they dumped them into one giant bin, which they then dumped into a trash truck, which then drove out to the landfill where everything was just tipped out of the truck.
00:02:33.200 And I thought, well, there we go.
00:02:36.260 There we go.
00:02:39.720 There we go.
00:02:42.200 That extreme dog.
00:02:48.980 Ever since he tried the rough greens for the first time, my dog, Uno, has changed.
00:02:52.760 He's a completely different dog.
00:02:54.780 I hear from people all the time in the audience.
00:02:57.540 I mean, hundreds and hundreds of letters have come in who have had the same experience with their dog.
00:03:02.260 They've heard me talk about rough greens on the show.
00:03:04.040 They get some for themselves.
00:03:05.160 And as soon as they sprinkle it on the dog's food, the dog literally wolfs it down.
00:03:09.420 And it's really good for them.
00:03:10.780 It's not a dog food.
00:03:11.680 It's just chock full of vitamins and minerals and probiotics and omega oils that you sprinkle.
00:03:16.240 Your dog needs these things to be healthy.
00:03:19.040 My dog was easy.
00:03:20.020 From the first time he tried rough greens, Uno was in love.
00:03:23.080 Some dogs take a little bit to get used to the new flavor, though.
00:03:25.880 Dr. Dennis Black, the inventor of rough greens, was on the phone with me last week.
00:03:29.800 He doesn't want that to be a reason for you not to try.
00:03:32.040 So right now, he's got a special gift available.
00:03:34.160 You can get a free bag of rough greens for your dog just to try out.
00:03:38.540 All you pay is shipping.
00:03:39.720 Go to roughgreens.com slash Beck or call 833-GLEN-33.
00:03:44.820 Put it on your dog's food and begin to watch your dog become healthier.
00:03:48.860 That was my last experience in Colorado.
00:03:57.720 So what's my next experience?
00:03:58.980 I realized just what I thought.
00:04:00.760 Oh, my gosh.
00:04:01.300 They cannot possibly venture further into lunacy than convincing people at this convention.
00:04:10.000 Well, we're doing great work with the recycling and we're separating everything and you're doing a great job.
00:04:15.220 Oh, my gosh.
00:04:15.940 Take a sticker and a ribbon and a smiley face out of petty cash.
00:04:19.140 Oh, we're so proud of you.
00:04:21.180 But then sort of kind of behind the scenes, somebody had to be laughing, right?
00:04:26.820 Because somebody had to manufacture all of the so-called recycling bins and all of the labels and all of the people who were employed doing that.
00:04:35.720 Don't you think somebody behind the scenes was going, God, these folks are idiots.
00:04:39.980 Can you believe that?
00:04:40.840 No.
00:04:41.380 Watch this guy.
00:04:42.540 Watch this guy.
00:04:43.120 So he's got a plate, which we think is styrofoam, but we're not entirely sure.
00:04:47.660 He has silverware that's actually, you know, plastic.
00:04:50.880 He's got a napkin that's that's paper and then he has some sort of soy infused tofu piece of garbage that was a meal that also needs to be thrown out.
00:05:02.360 And people would just take it all separately.
00:05:04.700 And then behind the scenes where I was, because you have to remember.
00:05:10.720 They knew who you were when you were on that little radio row.
00:05:14.580 So they're like, well, all right.
00:05:15.540 So the big conservative loudmouth dude, we're not giving him a prime spot.
00:05:20.880 We'll put him over there near the trash bins.
00:05:24.340 I had the best view of all.
00:05:26.840 And in my lovely rented car, I did.
00:05:29.460 I followed that trash truck to the dump.
00:05:32.260 We're all of the hard work of all of the well-meaning, upstanding.
00:05:37.220 We didn't even have the term woke then.
00:05:39.400 But they did what they were told to do.
00:05:42.540 And they didn't mind telling you to do what they were told to do either.
00:05:46.300 But here's what the problem was.
00:05:49.720 Nobody asked a question.
00:05:51.860 Not a single solitary one of these folks said, excuse me.
00:05:56.580 What are we doing with this stuff?
00:05:58.000 What are you doing with this stuff?
00:05:59.160 Why am I put in a position where I have to do all of this?
00:06:02.240 Are you doing something?
00:06:03.240 Because it would only be at that point where somebody would either have to, A, tell the truth, or B, flat-out lie.
00:06:10.540 Either way, though, you'd have some reaction.
00:06:13.540 Instead, these folks just followed along.
00:06:17.700 Never questioning.
00:06:19.400 Never asking.
00:06:21.060 Never thinking.
00:06:21.940 So I haven't been in Colorado since then.
00:06:26.600 And now I wake up.
00:06:28.360 And I find out four members of the Colorado Supreme Court have said, we're going to protect democracy by denying you the right to vote.
00:06:37.460 What?
00:06:39.300 Explain this to me again.
00:06:41.960 So in a place where the air is so thin, there are a lot of people that cannot think, and every other person is stoned out of their mind,
00:06:48.960 and four members of that Colorado Supreme Court have said, we don't like Trump.
00:06:54.360 And so we're going to protect the nation from him.
00:06:57.900 We're going to protect democracy.
00:06:59.660 We're going to protect the important institutions.
00:07:04.880 Okay.
00:07:05.860 How are we doing that again?
00:07:07.440 Well, we're going to deny you the opportunity to vote for someone you may or may not want to vote for.
00:07:16.800 Let's think about this for a second.
00:07:18.960 Was former President Trump in any danger of winning the general election vote in Colorado?
00:07:26.340 Nope.
00:07:28.180 Colorado has become solidly blue, has it not?
00:07:32.260 Now, there was a time, and we want to go back in history, it was red, and then it was purple.
00:07:37.400 But, man, it's bluer than blue.
00:07:39.400 So Donald Trump wasn't ever going to win Colorado, but by doing this, a couple of things have happened.
00:07:49.460 Number one, as the left often does, they've projected on others what they themselves are doing.
00:07:58.820 They keep telling us that Donald Trump and people who support Donald Trump and those of us who, I don't know, went to a casino named Trump, that we are all responsible for these threats against liberty and justice and the American way.
00:08:13.260 But they're the ones.
00:08:16.700 They're the ones who are doing exactly those things.
00:08:21.760 Are they going to be questioned?
00:08:22.700 Of course not.
00:08:23.260 However, once this case winds up in front of the Supreme Court of the United States, what do you think is going to happen?
00:08:30.920 Now, if the Supremes hold true to, well, upholding, defending, supporting, understanding the Constitution, it should be a nine to nothing vote that says, no, you can't do that.
00:08:43.340 Could there be one or two U.S. Supreme Court justices who put their personal politics in front of the Constitution?
00:08:54.600 I suppose that's possible.
00:08:55.700 I hope not.
00:08:56.600 God, I hope not.
00:08:59.040 But it's going to be tough if we have a member of the Supreme Court who's a woman who can't tell you what a woman is, if she can then decide what is or is not constitutional.
00:09:09.040 I don't know.
00:09:11.260 But I'm a little concerned.
00:09:13.340 And I'm concerned in a direction a lot of people are not going to see or not going to appreciate.
00:09:21.120 I don't think you have to like Donald Trump.
00:09:23.360 In fact, I would dare say if you're one of those folks who hates Donald Trump, this is a terrible thing for you.
00:09:31.960 Terrible thing.
00:09:34.900 Because what is happening right now is exactly what former President Trump and his strongest supporters have said all along.
00:09:43.340 You can't beat him at the ballot box.
00:09:45.940 You don't have ideas or policies or thoughts or values or ideals, but that's another issue.
00:09:55.300 And so you are going to employ every sort of underhanded sneaky thing to keep him from regaining the presidency?
00:10:05.740 I look at my own house, my own family.
00:10:13.340 I, in 2016, I didn't see Donald Trump.
00:10:20.120 I was not one of the original Donald Trump people.
00:10:23.760 In fact, I kept thinking and I kept telling people, oh, he's not really running for president.
00:10:29.400 It's not possible.
00:10:30.400 No.
00:10:31.540 And I didn't mean it in a nasty way.
00:10:34.780 I just thought he's busy.
00:10:38.420 He's busy building businesses and employing people and producing things and creating jobs and starring on television shows.
00:10:46.640 And why on earth would he want to be burdened with being president of the United States?
00:10:52.020 Why take such a pay cut?
00:10:54.720 And then he ran.
00:10:57.780 And even as he was winning, I thought, no.
00:11:00.600 I remember saying to someone, he's going to drop out before he gets to that date.
00:11:09.120 You know, there's going to be a date where he's going to have to file certain paperwork and they have to release.
00:11:12.680 No, he's just he's out before then.
00:11:15.840 There's no way.
00:11:18.900 And then he's the nominee.
00:11:23.380 And then he's the president of the United States.
00:11:26.520 I'm going to tell you something.
00:11:27.300 I sat there.
00:11:31.400 And I thought, well, OK, you're my president.
00:11:35.120 And I want you to succeed.
00:11:38.820 And I looked at the economy just as an example.
00:11:41.260 We we've never had an economy like this.
00:11:43.440 Cook it on all cylinders.
00:11:45.940 It was great.
00:11:47.540 We were respected around the world.
00:11:50.720 Well, some people thought he was crazy.
00:11:52.480 I don't care.
00:11:53.220 Whether it's it's it's Vladimir Putin or the other ones.
00:11:58.120 Well, Jeff, they just thought he was nuts.
00:12:00.040 OK, I'll take nuts.
00:12:01.180 I really will.
00:12:01.840 I'll take nuts over weak if that's the perception.
00:12:04.980 And so there were some who looked at Donald Trump, as I did, said, man, that is a strong guy.
00:12:12.320 And there's others.
00:12:13.240 Oh, my God, he's just crazy.
00:12:15.040 I'll take either one because it kept every one of these real lunatics and dictators and bad people who hate this nation around the world.
00:12:23.080 Kept them in check.
00:12:26.660 Take a look at the Middle East right now.
00:12:28.140 We'll talk about it in a moment.
00:12:29.560 But think about this.
00:12:31.960 Donald Trump brought these people together.
00:12:33.800 Those Abrahamic accords, man, it was like nothing we had ever seen.
00:12:40.420 What else did he do?
00:12:41.340 He moves the embassy.
00:12:44.460 Since the day the modern state of Israel was started in 1948, presidents, Republican presidents, Democrats said, well, we'll move the embassy.
00:12:53.880 So we just we can't do it now because it's you know, it's it's a day that ends in Y.
00:12:59.360 But once we get past that, man, we're all on board.
00:13:01.780 And they dithered and they lied to us.
00:13:06.140 And then Donald Trump gets there and he says, hey, we got to move the embassy.
00:13:10.240 Oh, no, no, no, no, Mr.
00:13:11.160 President, can't do that.
00:13:11.880 Can't do that.
00:13:12.320 No, no, no.
00:13:12.620 It's not good.
00:13:13.580 Why?
00:13:14.540 Well, yeah.
00:13:16.440 Do we have a building in Jerusalem?
00:13:18.020 Yeah.
00:13:18.680 And we've got a building in Tel Aviv.
00:13:20.180 Yeah.
00:13:20.360 And they each can hold the same number of people.
00:13:22.800 Yeah, pretty much.
00:13:23.780 So basically what you're telling me is you have to switch the sign on the front door.
00:13:27.620 Yeah, pretty much.
00:13:28.480 OK, get it done.
00:13:29.260 Thank you.
00:13:31.000 And it got done.
00:13:32.560 Now, the real reason was that a lot of these State Department people who are at the, quote, embassy in Tel Aviv, they like Tel Aviv.
00:13:40.540 Tel Aviv is a party city.
00:13:43.120 Right.
00:13:43.380 You can sit there, have a great drink, look at the sea.
00:13:47.520 Lots of parties there.
00:13:49.380 Jerusalem, not exactly known for the nightlife.
00:13:53.020 But Donald Trump got it done.
00:13:54.340 Now, I'm going to share with you in just a moment the cheering, the absolute cheerleading that the members of the legacy news media ranks are engaged in right now as Colorado takes this unprecedented step.
00:14:07.120 It's awful.
00:14:08.000 It's dangerous.
00:14:09.740 And we'll analyze it.
00:14:11.060 Now, a couple of things to remember, of course, glennbeck.com, theblaze.com.
00:14:14.100 You want to stay up to date on anything and everything that is going on.
00:14:16.800 That is the only way to do it, theblaze.com.
00:14:19.840 Remember, you want to participate.
00:14:21.000 Always happy to have you, 888-727-BECK, 888-727-BECK.
00:14:29.500 I do ask you to hang out with me on social media.
00:14:31.860 Follow Jeff Katz Show over on X, formerly known as Twitter, Jeff Katz Show on X, formerly known as Twitter, and The Jeff Katz Show on Facebook, The Jeff Katz Show.
00:14:41.060 It is Jeff in for Glenn.
00:14:43.580 And this is The Glenn Beck Program.
00:14:48.560 I want you to meet Kelsey.
00:14:50.280 When she found out she was pregnant, she wasn't sure where to turn.
00:14:52.960 But after meeting with the counselors at a pre-born network clinic who loved and supported her, and after hearing her baby's heartbeat on a free ultrasound, she chose life.
00:15:02.840 When a mother looks at her child through a sonogram, it does something to you.
00:15:07.440 You know, I ended up deciding to keep my son.
00:15:11.040 He brings absolute joy to my heart.
00:15:12.880 I could not imagine life without him.
00:15:15.480 By introducing a woman to her baby on an ultrasound, the baby's chance at life doubles.
00:15:20.400 Please, if you have the means, would you consider a leadership gift to save babies in a big way?
00:15:25.080 Your tax-deductible donation of $5,000 will sponsor Preborn's entire network for 24 hours, helping to rescue 200 babies.
00:15:33.660 And right now, through a match, your gift is doubled.
00:15:37.380 To donate, dial pound 250.
00:15:39.100 Say the keyword baby.
00:15:40.180 That's pound 250, keyword baby.
00:15:42.420 Or donate securely at preborn.com slash back.
00:15:45.260 That's preborn.com slash back.
00:15:47.280 Sponsored by Preborn.
00:15:48.440 What happens when you get a collection of folks who all think the same?
00:16:09.000 Doesn't it become, it's like a hive, right?
00:16:11.600 Think about that.
00:16:12.240 I'm going to give you a couple of examples of how we are seeing this play out.
00:16:16.980 Colorado, the four justices, there are four of them.
00:16:20.120 That's all out of seven.
00:16:21.500 Now, I don't know who those other three justices in Colorado were.
00:16:25.660 It's a 200-page decision filled with legalese and here are two fours and where are two fours and those two fours and two by fours and all the rest of this stuff.
00:16:34.480 But it says we've decided you can't vote for this guy.
00:16:38.620 You're not, well, let me phrase that.
00:16:39.680 You don't, we're not even going to give you the opportunity to vote for this guy.
00:16:43.580 We're not campaigning for anybody else, but you can't vote for him.
00:16:47.380 Sounds like a campaign to me.
00:16:48.500 Call me crazy, but I think that's what it is.
00:16:51.060 Now, having said that, I want you to hear, I just want you to hear some of our friends over at CNN.
00:16:59.920 Can we hear cut number one, please?
00:17:01.360 Well, the former president did not waste any time fundraising off of this ruling.
00:17:07.500 His campaign sent out emails immediately trying to fundraise, accusing Democrats of trying to keep Trump off the ballot because he will beat President Biden.
00:17:16.360 So let's start our coverage with CNN's Marshall Cohen.
00:17:19.000 You know this case inside and out.
00:17:22.240 Explain what it means to people this morning.
00:17:23.840 Well, Poppy, good morning.
00:17:26.840 This is a historic level of accountability for January 6th and for Donald Trump's actions on January 6th.
00:17:34.040 Now, as you mentioned, this is probably not the final word because Donald Trump will appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
00:17:40.200 But for this moment in time, this is a huge dose of accountability and a punishment for January 6th.
00:17:48.040 The Colorado Supreme Court in a four to three decision ruling that Donald Trump engaged in the insurrection, that the insurrectionist ban in the 14th Amendment applies to the presidency, and that he is ineligible to hold any future office.
00:18:03.880 That's the finding from the majority opinion.
00:18:07.620 Uh-huh.
00:18:08.540 Okay, so riddle me this, Batman.
00:18:12.240 When and where was this insurrection?
00:18:15.240 See, insurrection is actually a legal term.
00:18:18.760 Now, I am not a practitioner of the dark arts.
00:18:21.240 I'm not an attorney, much to the chagrin of my parents.
00:18:24.080 But where did this insurrection take place?
00:18:29.480 When did it take place?
00:18:30.340 January 6th, Jeff.
00:18:31.220 Okay, can you show me, and I am as serious as a heart attack on this one.
00:18:37.540 Can you show me exactly where it was and when it was and how it was and what?
00:18:43.800 When did Donald Trump take part in this, quote, insurrection?
00:18:49.860 Now, you may not like Donald Trump.
00:18:51.660 I got it.
00:18:52.160 There are lots of people that don't like Donald Trump.
00:18:54.100 As I said, in my very own house, my wife cannot stand some of the things that Donald Trump has said and done.
00:19:04.860 Right?
00:19:05.360 Grab him by the, really, Jeff?
00:19:06.880 Would you have your sons?
00:19:07.920 No.
00:19:09.040 I promise you, I would not ask the former president to tell my sons about dating history or personal relationships or how to put together tweets.
00:19:21.380 Okay.
00:19:22.500 But I would say to them, as I have and as I've said to my wife, when Donald Trump was president, those boys had a chance.
00:19:30.940 Now, they're smart guys.
00:19:33.680 My oldest son is finishing up Stanford University.
00:19:37.640 He's undergraduate.
00:19:38.480 He'll have a bachelor's in something.
00:19:39.600 I don't know.
00:19:40.060 But he's a brilliant kid.
00:19:44.480 But he's been corrupted and brainwashed.
00:19:48.620 I said, you know, you and your friends are going to woke yourselves right out of opportunities.
00:19:55.540 Well, I don't know.
00:19:56.300 I don't know.
00:19:56.880 You know, okay, whatever.
00:19:59.180 And my youngest guy, he's up in Ithaca, New York, at Ithaca College.
00:20:04.540 He's the guy who wants to get along with everybody.
00:20:06.140 He wants everybody to be happy, and he's the fixer, you know, the nice guy studying psychology.
00:20:12.800 He doesn't really talk about politics, so I don't know where he is politically, but I have a sense he's on the wrong side.
00:20:24.980 But why would you work against your own opportunity?
00:20:28.100 And that's what they're doing.
00:20:29.000 And why on earth, how on earth could we allow anybody to say we're going to keep you from voting for the person that you want to vote for?
00:20:40.680 I'm not going to vote for Joe Biden.
00:20:44.580 Never, ever, ever, ever, ever.
00:20:46.920 Why?
00:20:48.020 Well, because I grew up in Philadelphia, and Joe Biden has pretty much been in public life, public office since I was a child, and I've watched it.
00:20:59.000 Because he was in Delaware, which is, you know, kind of like the attic for Philadelphia.
00:21:05.700 And I know how dirty that guy is.
00:21:08.680 I look at Biden and his gang of grifters that he's moved into the White House, and I think, good Lord, why are we not just referring to them as La Josa Nostra?
00:21:17.180 And Trump, well, I'm willing to give him a chance again.
00:21:22.680 I'd like this country to be great again.
00:21:24.760 I really would.

00:23:24.900 888-727-BECK.
00:23:28.300 I have to share with you.
00:23:30.480 I just have to do it.
00:23:31.500 I can't not do it.
00:23:33.040 The latest from Harvard.
00:23:34.760 Dr. Claudine Gay.
00:23:36.440 Apparently, Harvard University announcing that they have found some additional instances where she...
00:23:44.300 Well, copy and paste is such an ugly term.
00:23:48.120 You know, this dissertation of hers was written back in 1997.
00:23:51.700 I don't even know.
00:23:53.000 Did we have copy and paste back then?
00:23:55.100 Well, they found two more cases where she...
00:23:58.340 Well, she copied and pasted.
00:23:59.940 And they're against that.
00:24:02.920 Sort of, kind of.
00:24:03.840 I mean, she's okay.
00:24:04.800 Not to worry.
00:24:05.560 If you are thinking you got to go set up a GoFundMe for the president of Harvard University, I'm here to tell you she's going to be just fine.
00:24:12.660 However, if your son or daughter engaged in that sort of nonsense, well, now they're going to have problems.
00:24:19.600 Why?
00:24:21.560 Why?
00:24:24.120 And I know the immediate reaction is, well, Jeff, she's ticking a lot of DEI boxes.
00:24:29.400 Diversity, equity, inclusion, right?
00:24:31.840 She's a woman.
00:24:33.420 She happens to be black.
00:24:35.100 And she also happens to be the first black woman to ever head up Harvard.
00:24:38.680 So, you know, she's good to go.
00:24:40.480 Yeah, that's part of it.
00:24:41.480 But that's not all of it.
00:24:43.520 The bigger issue here behind the scenes is behind the scenes.
00:24:48.800 It's the fact that the so-called Harvard Corporation, that's like the big board of directors for the whole Harvard operation.
00:24:55.700 They just appointed her.
00:24:57.700 She's relatively new to the job.
00:25:00.460 And if they booed her now, yes, they're going to get pushback because the first black woman president of Harvard has now been fired.
00:25:10.000 You betcha.
00:25:11.080 There's going to be some real pushback.
00:25:14.120 But the bigger issue is if they were to get rid of her now, it tells you how grossly incompetent they are.
00:25:23.440 And it's all about self-preservation, right?
00:25:27.160 They don't want you to know.
00:25:30.800 They don't want anybody to know.
00:25:32.400 So they have to stand with her.
00:25:35.020 They stood with her as she sat there in front of Congress.
00:25:39.800 with those other two Ivy League presidents and said, well, you know, yeah, slaughter of the Jews, genocide.
00:25:49.840 Well, I mean, it's like a Bill Clinton moment.
00:25:52.660 And it depends on what the meaning of is is.
00:25:55.400 Well, what's your meaning of genocide?
00:25:57.780 Well, I'm thinking you're looking to eliminate everybody who happens to be Jewish.
00:26:03.600 Well, yeah, you know, we would be.
00:26:08.980 Well, we'd have to hear the context and not just context.
00:26:13.160 But were there any actions?
00:26:17.360 You remember that?
00:26:19.000 And I sat there and I thought, oh, so what you're saying is, if I can just sort of spitball it for those of us who are not Harvard graduates,
00:26:26.260 if the people were standing there saying we want to slaughter all of the Jews at Harvard,
00:26:33.180 you'd have to hear further context.
00:26:35.020 You'd have to see some sort of action.
00:26:36.920 If they actually began slaughtering the Jews at Harvard, would that be enough of an action, do you think?
00:26:42.540 Would that initiate any sort of administrative process where somebody got an angry email that may or may not have gone on their permanent record?
00:26:53.720 It's really pretty straightforward.
00:26:56.600 And at the same time, that's going on and the wagons are being circled.
00:26:59.840 Well, make no mistake, the wagons are now being circled by leftists against regular people.
00:27:08.360 Because I think that's what former President Trump represents.
00:27:11.820 And it's sort of an odd thing when you think about it, right?
00:27:14.000 A billionaire, he's been president of the United States, flies on private jets.
00:27:18.940 I mean, this is a very different life than most of us have.
00:27:22.780 But for me, at least, as a regular guy, I looked at him and went, well, yeah, good for you.
00:27:29.060 Good for you. And thank you.
00:27:31.600 Thank you for what I would describe as really growing into the job.
00:27:37.060 Like I said, I was not on board.
00:27:39.840 I thought, no, it's a gimmick. It's a swerve.
00:27:42.840 Something's going to happen here.
00:27:44.160 He's going to leave before the election.
00:27:46.400 It's all to boost a new book or a new season of The Apprentice.
00:27:51.700 And, man, I look back and I don't mind telling you how wrong I was.
00:27:54.600 I was unbelievably wrong.
00:27:56.300 Completely and totally wrong.
00:27:59.060 I looked at a guy who rolled up his sleeves and said, all right, well, let's get to work here.
00:28:03.560 We've got a lot of stuff we've got to do.
00:28:06.020 Would you hire him to be the master of ceremonies at your kid's cotillion?
00:28:10.880 Probably not.
00:28:13.220 Would you say to him, hey, could you fix this economy?
00:28:17.200 Could you please take what's left of our American dream and make it real again?
00:28:22.880 Well, let me tell you.
00:28:26.340 The legacy news media folks are doing everything they can to keep us from having that opportunity.
00:28:31.800 Let me give you another example.
00:28:32.560 This is CBS.
00:28:34.900 CBS, cut number three, please.
00:28:36.480 How big of a deal is it?
00:28:40.600 Yeah, you had it right, Gail, when you said this was stunning.
00:28:44.780 But there is legal basis for this.
00:28:46.700 The 14th Amendment exists for a reason.
00:28:48.420 And the 14th Amendment says that someone who is an officer of the United States and who has taken an oath and who then engages in insurrection can't hold office as an officer of the United States.
00:28:59.700 And these kinds of cases have been brought with regard to Donald Trump in many states all over the country.
00:29:05.420 And up until now, every state has dismissed these cases on procedural grounds.
00:29:09.920 They've said the Republican Party has a lot of leeway to decide who its nominee is.
00:29:14.900 And so we're not going to inject ourselves at this moment.
00:29:17.380 But Colorado is the first state where they found both that now the Supreme Court has found that he is an officer of the United States.
00:29:23.800 The presidency is an office of the United States.
00:29:25.980 And that he engaged in insurrection and therefore, under the 14th Amendment, he's disqualified.
00:29:32.160 So, David, let me ask you this.
00:29:33.420 The Supreme Court will likely rule on this.
00:29:35.760 Is this a shortcut way to get the Supreme Court to rule on whether or not Donald Trump did, in fact, incite an insurrection?
00:29:44.840 I don't know if the Supreme Court of Colorado intended it as a shortcut, but that's how it's going to play out.
00:29:50.080 And that's actually probably a good thing.
00:29:52.820 Yeah, it is a good thing.
00:29:54.120 Because, again, I ask you, where and when?
00:29:58.220 And what did he say?
00:30:00.100 Because for the life of me, I can't find it.
00:30:04.940 I know enough to know this is a legal term and that's a legal term and that word is defined this way.
00:30:10.840 And for the life of me, I can't find this insurrection.
00:30:14.660 Believe me, when I tell you, had there been an insurrection, I would be one of the first to say, oh, my God, no.
00:30:20.880 If the President of the United States was inviting people to overthrow the government, of course not.
00:30:26.360 But all this talk about the 14th Amendment forced me to actually go back and read the 14th Amendment.
00:30:35.120 How many of us have done that, by the way?
00:30:38.060 How many of us have gone back and actually spent a few minutes, actually read some of the founding documents, read not just the Federalist Papers, but the Anti-Federalist Papers?
00:30:50.360 I can remember being in Dallas last year and I was actually in Dallas because I was getting my certification with the Ziegler organization as a Ziegler Legacy Certified Coach.
00:31:08.720 To me, one of the highlights of my life is I've always embraced Zig Ziegler and what he stood for and what he talked about and how he inspired people and how he motivated people.
00:31:20.360 Now, some of it has a business angle, I know, but so much of it was just grounded in this idea that we're all people.
00:31:30.020 I don't know how you define yourself, but number one for me is always child of God.
00:31:34.660 And I think that's the same for everybody.
00:31:36.280 I don't start with political affiliation.
00:31:37.780 But anyway, so I'm in Dallas last year.
00:31:42.120 And I reached out to Glenn and said, hey, I'm in town.
00:31:46.460 Can I come over and visit?
00:31:48.380 Oh, absolutely.
00:31:49.260 I went over, spent a few minutes, but then I went through the museum and I thought, good Lord, every single American needs to come through this museum.
00:32:00.620 Every American, if they have the opportunity, needs to go through the museum and see and read and appreciate what's come before us.
00:32:14.580 That's where we are right now.
00:32:18.420 If you go back and read this pesky 14th Amendment that I've now been forced to relearn as a layman.
00:32:26.880 You realize, oh, my gosh, it's it's set up for the Confederates.
00:32:34.320 And if you're going to say former President Trump is now stripped from his opportunity to be on the ballot in Colorado because of this so-called insurrection.
00:32:43.340 Well, by God, you've got to define insurrection and you've got to show me where it happened and when it happened.
00:32:48.660 And how he led it.
00:32:52.460 Oh, and isn't there also this this whole pesky idea about due process?
00:32:57.740 I know the left is throwing legal action after legal action after legal action against him.
00:33:06.660 But I haven't seen him convicted of any of these things.
00:33:10.520 And you can hate him all you want.
00:33:14.480 If that is your your personal feeling, maybe it's even your motivating goal each and every day, then by God, you have at it.
00:33:20.800 But you do not have the right to not deny the rest of us the opportunity to vote for the man or the woman we believe we should vote for.
00:33:33.140 That's part of what makes this country so amazing.
00:33:35.520 This Colorado decision is nonsense and it has to be overturned, has to be overturned by the Supreme Court of the United States, ASAP.
00:33:46.380 I'll give you a little update on the continuing situation involving Israel and Hamas.
00:33:53.980 It's getting uglier.
00:33:55.860 And there's so many useful idiots, not the least of which the presidents of those universities.
00:34:00.840 And so many uber leftists and progressives say, oh, we need a ceasefire.
00:34:06.040 I'll explain to you a little bit about that in just a moment.
00:34:08.860 Now, quick little tip for you.
00:34:11.100 I always share everything on social media so you can read all of it.

00:36:19.580 Remind you, 888-727-BEC, 888-727-BEC.
00:36:23.880 As I take a look at the Middle East, and we all have to look at the Middle East, and I know I've had some friends say, well, you know, Jeff, excuse me, it's a Jewish thing, right?
00:36:38.120 Well, no.
00:36:39.800 I mean, for me it is, but not for you, maybe.
00:36:42.760 This is about society.
00:36:45.700 This is about the Western world.
00:36:46.940 This is about values.
00:36:50.680 I've heard repeatedly now from thoroughly useful idiots in the United States.
00:36:55.840 Well, you know, they need a ceasefire, Jeff.
00:36:57.840 Okay.
00:36:58.920 What do you mean by ceasefire?
00:37:00.200 Again, words are supposed to have meanings, and I know as we're getting ready to head into 2024, the reality is that for some, words are sort of, they're defungible, right?
00:37:14.640 Well, you could be a boy on Monday and a girl on Wednesday and a, I don't know, a coffee mug on Thursday and draperies on Friday.
00:37:22.840 Whatever you want, you just be whatever you want, and you get to pick your own pronouns.
00:37:26.480 All right, well, go ahead and knock yourself out.
00:37:28.000 Can I choose his majesty or Israel?
00:37:31.940 Well, that's just silly.
00:37:33.300 Oh, my bad.
00:37:35.600 So what do you mean by a ceasefire?
00:37:37.560 Because you see, Israel continues to offer Hamas a seven-day ceasefire, but there are conditions.
00:37:49.300 The conditions are, number one, you in Hamas actually abide by the terms of the ceasefire, because you're not really doing that.
00:37:57.120 And number two, and maybe it should be number one, you have to release hostages.
00:38:05.820 And Hamas continually says, nope, not interested, not going to do it.
00:38:09.900 And yet we have folks like Secretary Austin going to Israel to tell Bibi Netanyahu, hey, you've got to dial this back a little bit.
00:38:22.280 Too many civilians are being killed.
00:38:23.740 Well, we all would agree that too many civilians have been killed, would we not?
00:38:31.440 I mean, honest to goodness, we're all decent people.
00:38:33.660 You take a look at the situation, you take a look at the conflict.
00:38:36.620 Every single solitary one of us who is a decent person says there have been too many civilian deaths.
00:38:43.140 But can we not include the 1,200 or so innocent people who were slaughtered on October the 7th?
00:38:53.660 Because they keep getting just overlooked.
00:38:57.480 I hear these descriptions of people in Gaza.
00:39:00.980 Jeff, half of the population are children.
00:39:04.220 Well, once again, I've got to ask you to define a term.
00:39:07.520 What do you mean by child?
00:39:08.540 I hear child, and I'm thinking toddler.
00:39:13.220 I'm thinking one of my little guys when they were really little.
00:39:16.760 You know, two, three, four, five, six little kids.
00:39:19.440 Those are children.
00:39:21.840 Half the population are children, Jeff.
00:39:26.180 Children, it appears, would include those who are 17 years old.
00:39:31.060 17-year-old young men who have participated in violence against innocent people in Israel.
00:39:40.780 Are they children, too?
00:39:43.420 Because I've got a sneaking suspicion there might be a slightly different description that comes into play.
00:39:48.540 We're seeing now anti-Semitism, Jew hatred, the likes of which we have not seen since the time of Hitler.
00:40:00.900 I am very, very concerned.
00:40:04.320 I'm going to ask you to stay with me and on social media.
00:40:09.100 Jeff Katz Show over on X, formerly known as Twitter.
00:40:11.940 The Jeff Katz Show on Facebook.
00:40:14.020 JeffKatz.us is the website.
00:40:16.180 It is Jeff Katz.
00:40:17.540 Happy to be sitting in for Glenn.

00:40:30.120 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:40:46.180 We've got no room to compromise.

00:41:30.940 Stand up.
00:41:33.420 God works in ways you cannot even begin to imagine.
00:41:37.360 Well, we're going to hear proof positive seconds from now.
00:41:49.740 Your home is so much more than the place you live.
00:41:52.720 It's an investment tool as well.
00:41:54.420 And you can put that tool to use and access the equity that you have as cash to pay off those high interest credit cards.
00:42:01.480 Did you know the average credit card rate now is hovering around 25%?
00:42:04.240 Some people are paying 30-plus every single month.
00:42:07.280 I mean, it's insane.
00:42:08.320 If you're not paying that debt off in full every month, those fees are adding up.
00:42:13.060 And you just can't let that happen.
00:42:14.600 Which is why you need to look at your spending, your financing, your debt.
00:42:18.060 Better yet, let American Financing do that for you.
00:42:20.680 This is a family-owned mortgage lender.
00:42:22.380 They're not a bank.
00:42:23.300 You're important to them.
00:42:24.220 There's no pressure, no upfront or hidden fees.
00:42:26.380 If you call them today, you might be able to close in as fast as 10 days and even delay two mortgage payments.
00:42:32.040 They're saving homeowners just like you an average of $826 a month.
00:42:36.320 That could be life-changing.
00:42:37.700 So call today, 800-906-2440, 800-906-2440, AmericanFinancing.net.
00:42:44.060 American Financing, NMLS, 1-82334, www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org.
00:42:50.120 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:42:55.940 Jeff Katz happy to be sitting in for Glenn.
00:42:59.180 I want you to think for a second.
00:43:04.100 I want you to think about those who are part of our community who oftentimes are overlooked or passed by.
00:43:11.280 It happens every day.
00:43:13.360 Maybe it's because you're not friendly with this person.
00:43:16.580 You're not friendly with that person.
00:43:17.540 You don't know who that is.
00:43:19.000 Sometimes it's because you think, well, I don't have anything to offer to me.
00:43:22.340 But when you are the father or the mother of a special needs kiddo, let me tell you something.
00:43:29.200 You see that magnified because people have written off your kids.
00:43:35.500 I mean, sometimes if we're going to be honest about it, you have to think, well, I don't know what they're ever going to do.
00:43:39.300 Could they do this?
00:43:39.940 Could they do that?
00:43:42.100 So a couple of years back, I received a note in care of the radio station that I'm at every single day of the week, News Radio WRVA in Central Virginia.
00:43:53.240 And it was from a high school student who said, hey, Jeff, I think he said, dear Jeff, dear Jeff, my dad and I listen to your show every afternoon.
00:44:01.980 And we've heard you talking about your princess.
00:44:03.860 It's my daughter, Julia, and she has special needs.
00:44:06.620 And we've heard you talking about her.
00:44:09.640 And I just want to tell you about my sister, Emily.
00:44:12.740 And by the way, I've written a book, and you should have me on your program to talk about it.
00:44:17.320 And I thought, well, my.
00:44:19.320 And then I read it.
00:44:20.560 And I said, yeah, you've got to come on.
00:44:22.540 And that was the beginning of what I would dare say is a beautiful relationship between the Katz family and the Morrissey family.
00:44:29.660 And my friend P.J. Morrissey is joining us to talk a little bit about the adventure that he and his family have had with his beautiful sister, Emily, and the bracelets that she makes.
00:44:41.900 P.J., good morning.
00:44:43.580 Jeff, thank you for having me.
00:44:45.480 It is good to have you here.
00:44:46.940 And I want everybody to know you're recovering from some serious shoulder surgery.
00:44:51.920 But you still, you're pushing through, man.
00:44:54.160 You're a tough guy.
00:44:55.700 That's right.
00:44:56.340 I'm about 48 hours post-op from shoulder surgery.
00:45:00.900 So I appreciate everybody bearing with me.
00:45:04.200 Absolutely.
00:45:05.060 Well, P.J., I just want you to share with everybody the story.
00:45:10.420 Tell us a little bit about Emily and where she's been.
00:45:14.100 And God bless her where she is now.
00:45:17.580 Well, Jeff, when you say it's been an adventure, it certainly has.
00:45:22.900 My sister, Emily, is 25, and she was born with cerebral palsy as a result of oxygen deprivation at birth.
00:45:34.380 And cerebral palsy is different for everybody that has it.
00:45:38.240 But for Emily, it results in global delays, in particular her gross and fine motor skills, cognitive skills, and her speech.
00:45:47.860 Despite her deficits and challenges, though, Jeff, Emily is more fortunate than all of us because she's a way of looking at things that not everybody else has.
00:45:59.780 And she can see the innate good in people and not judge them before even getting to know them.
00:46:05.280 And her smile, you know her smile, Jeff.
00:46:10.200 Her smile is absolutely infectious because it's genuine, and she's reflecting back at you the good that she sees in you through her smile.
00:46:21.200 Emily had been in a program in high school where it was four years of education and four years of job placement.
00:46:31.340 And that last four years, you know, you could kind of tell the teachers got a little bit complacent, like you were talking about before.
00:46:41.620 Emily wasn't liking her job placement.
00:46:45.140 And that was scary for us.
00:46:48.200 You know, the unfortunate reality is that as much as 80 percent of adults with disabilities are not active in the workforce.
00:46:55.160 And because of this, my family and I came up with Emily's bracelets.
00:47:02.840 It harnesses her skill level and one of her passions.
00:47:08.660 Emily's been making bracelets ever since she started physical therapy and occupational therapy.
00:47:14.880 And they had her stringing beads, a new pipe cleaner, to help with those fine motor skills.
00:47:19.840 So it's something she's been doing her whole life and something that gives her a lot of joy.
00:47:25.420 Well, PJ, I will cut.
00:47:27.820 This comes as no surprise to you.
00:47:29.120 Hopefully no surprise to Emily.
00:47:30.420 I am today wearing a selection of bracelets from Emily at Emily's bracelets dot com.
00:47:36.640 I've I've got, as I always do, my thin blue line bracelet as as a former police officer.
00:47:41.780 I've got my I stand with Israel bracelet, my I'm Israel high bracelet and let everybody know about the website.
00:47:51.660 And you talk about the challenges and you talk about her her skills, her fine motor skills.
00:47:56.920 I mean, it's amazing to me when I look at these bracelets and the story behind them.
00:48:01.860 It's just man, it just puts a smile on my face.
00:48:06.260 Yeah, Jeff, it's truly an inspiring story.
00:48:09.420 Um, we've been lucky enough to be doing this for five years now.
00:48:13.600 And, um, when it started and it took off, it really gave Emily a purpose.
00:48:19.020 Um, she used to be painfully shy to the extent that she was diagnosed with selective mutism and getting her to talk to anyone outside of our family was extremely difficult.
00:48:29.980 Uh, but shortly after we launched the business, her teachers and her therapist noticed a much larger sense of confidence.
00:48:35.980 Um, she started standing up straighter and talking to more people.
00:48:40.340 And, um, that's, uh, through that sense of pride that she has, uh, from making these bracelets and seeing people buy them and, uh, wear them, uh, just really makes her happy.
00:48:52.880 And, um, she, it, that sense of purpose is something that everybody, um, wants to have.
00:49:02.200 And, uh, that's what we're doing with Emily's bracelets.
00:49:05.600 Well, I'm going to remind everybody, PJ Morrissey is joining me.
00:49:08.540 PJ, 48 hours post-op.
00:49:10.300 He's got like a brand new bionic shoulder.
00:49:12.000 He'll be doing a thousand push-ups, uh, later today, I'm sure.
00:49:15.000 But, uh, the story of Emily, emiliesbracelets.com is the website.
00:49:19.240 And you need to go there and take a look at these bracelets.
00:49:21.480 And heck, I'm going to tell you, you ought to order some.
00:49:24.300 Uh, Emily's has become a, she's a celebrity, PJ, in central Virginia.
00:49:30.520 I mean, everywhere she goes, people know Emily Morrissey.
00:49:34.540 And I, I just read the other day on, uh, on your Facebook posts, she's now sold bracelets in every single one of the 50 states.
00:49:44.080 That is correct, Jeff.
00:49:45.940 Uh, thanks to you and, uh, help of a lot of our friends.
00:49:50.040 Um, we were able to reach our goal this year of, uh, spreading holiday cheer and smiles to all 50 states.
00:49:57.200 It's an amazing thing.
00:49:59.480 And you, you, you mentioned that, uh, just a few years back, uh, people were saying, oh, well, she, with the selective mutism, she's, she's not going to talk to anybody.
00:50:08.240 She's always going to be there.
00:50:09.300 I got news for you.
00:50:10.620 Uh, the, the times that I've had to, uh, be with Emily and I, and they're, they're great times.
00:50:16.420 Again, she's a superstar.
00:50:18.000 People are coming up to her.
00:50:19.100 Can we get your autograph?
00:50:20.080 Can we take a picture with you?
00:50:21.300 We've got, we, you know, we've got a 10 of your bracelets, but now we need 11.
00:50:24.560 You know, it's amazing.
00:50:26.860 Yeah, Jeff.
00:50:27.720 I mean, she is totally, uh, a local celebrity and, um, something to add to that.
00:50:34.020 Uh, we, we had a house fire back on mother's day of this year and, um, we lost our home and belongings and Emily's supply and inventory.
00:50:43.680 And, um, um, you would think, uh, you know, that that would waver that sense of pride and, uh, sense of, uh, like you said, fame.
00:50:53.620 But, um, if anything, it's made her stronger.
00:50:57.160 It's made us stronger, um, as a family.
00:51:00.720 And, uh, it's allowed us to come to know the innate goodness and kind hearts of those in our community.
00:51:07.500 And, um, you know, we can't thank people like you and your listeners enough for, um, all the help you've offered us and everything that you've done for Emily.
00:51:17.300 Um, we, we, we're just about 25 bracelets from, uh, selling 25 bracelets away from selling over 25,000 bracelets since the launch of Emily's bracelets.
00:51:29.220 And, um, she's donated well over $15,000 to, um, a handful of charities, including the Special Olympics.
00:51:39.120 This is the beautiful part of this, PJ, in addition to everything else.
00:51:42.820 And, and, and, and everybody needs to understand this, that, uh, Emily does this so that she has something to do.
00:51:49.800 You and, and your mom and your dad, such an incredible family.
00:51:53.340 And, and we in the Cats is just stand in awe of the Morrissey's.
00:51:57.520 We really do what you've done to, uh, to wrap Emily in this, uh, this sense, not only of loving, which is to be expected, but this, this purpose to, to, to give her a job every single day that she can take pride in, where she can share smiles around the country.
00:52:14.120 It's just beautiful.
00:52:15.140 And to be 25 bracelets away from 25,000, it's such a, an amazing goal.
00:52:20.920 And it's such a huge number.
00:52:22.420 And then the money you're taking money and giving it back to Special Olympics.
00:52:25.920 And, uh, there's a Police Survivor Benefit Fund that, uh, Emily takes money from the Thin Blue Line bracelets.
00:52:32.640 There's the Friendship Circle, which is a great organization, helping pair, uh, the folks with some special needs and, and typically developing folks.
00:52:40.920 And then they become friends.
00:52:42.280 It's just, it's beautiful all the way around.
00:52:45.140 Tell me about your, and this is not fair, but I'm going to do it anyway.
00:52:48.160 What's your favorite bracelet?
00:52:49.500 Ooh, that is a tough question.
00:52:53.020 I think I'm going to have to go with one of the classics and say the patriotic, uh, red, white, and blue bracelet.
00:52:59.620 Okay.
00:53:00.520 That's a good one.
00:53:01.520 That's a good, I, I love that one.
00:53:03.180 I love all of them.
00:53:04.240 A special girl making special bracelets.
00:53:07.480 So, uh, PJ, we're coming up on Christmas.
00:53:10.000 Obviously people, I think ought to be reaching out and supporting you, but, but give everybody the website and, and explain it.
00:53:16.960 Just a couple of things about how it, how it works over there.
00:53:20.260 Sure.
00:53:20.660 So, um, our holiday bracelets have sold very, very quickly this season, but we do have, uh, a handful left.
00:53:27.860 Uh, of course, Emily also offers her first responders collection, her awareness collection, uh, wooden bracelet collection, as well as a glass, uh, bracelet collection.
00:53:37.560 And then of course the classics, um, and all of that can be found at emilysbracelets.com.
00:53:43.080 And then we're also on all social media, uh, at emilysbracelets.
00:53:48.060 Wow.
00:53:48.860 I love this.
00:53:49.680 I love this.
00:53:50.260 Well, uh, I want to get you to 25,000.
00:53:53.040 So what'd you say we need a 25 more bracelets sold to get to 25,000?
00:53:58.360 Yes, sir.
00:53:59.460 All right.
00:53:59.920 Well, uh, it's an invite.
00:54:01.420 It's a challenge to all emilysbracelets.com.
00:54:04.620 Go over there.
00:54:05.380 And, uh, we said that it gives Emily a sense of purpose and, and, and it gives her work to do every day.
00:54:11.420 And well, you know what they say.
00:54:13.140 I mean, idle hands, right?
00:54:14.540 So she needs some work to do.
00:54:16.360 That's right.
00:54:17.100 Yep.
00:54:18.160 I love it.
00:54:18.980 Well, I want everybody to do that.

00:54:22.040 Share, share Emily's story, uh, as well as her bracelets.

00:54:28.700 And PJ, I, I thank you post-op, in pain, medication, the whole Megillah.
00:54:35.600 And you said, no, no, I've still got to come on and talk about Emily and emilysbracelets.com.
00:54:39.860 I, I appreciate that.
00:54:42.000 Thank you, Jeff.
00:54:42.960 It's truly an honor.
00:54:43.960 And, um, we really appreciate you and, uh, all of Glenn's listeners.
00:54:48.420 Thank you, sir.

00:55:07.180 I'm going to give you a couple more details now that PJ's gone because I didn't, well, I didn't want to say it in front of PJ.

00:56:29.060 It is the Glenn Beck program.
00:56:40.340 Jeff Katz, happy to be sitting in for Glenn.
00:56:43.260 Let me give you a couple of other details.
00:56:45.820 You just heard from P.J. Morrissey, and you heard P.J. tell the story of Emily, beautiful young lady, 25 years old.
00:56:53.940 A couple of special needs, no doubt about that.
00:56:57.020 Life is challenging.
00:56:59.060 I mentioned to you that my daughter, Julia, is severely disabled.
00:57:05.540 You know, Julia is 20 years old chronologically, and developmentally, Julia is about 18 months old.
00:57:16.600 And Julia is always going to be 18 months old.
00:57:18.500 She's always going to be a baby, no matter how big she gets.
00:57:22.960 And 20-year-old young woman now, still wears diapers.
00:57:31.400 Will always wear diapers.
00:57:33.420 That's kind of my wish, that somehow, some way, she could, I don't know, push a button or bang on something or point.
00:57:43.040 And just let us know she's got to go to the bathroom.
00:57:47.820 That would be huge.
00:57:49.060 That would be an amazing gift.
00:57:50.260 And it doesn't look like that's ever going to come to pass.
00:57:54.640 And so, as her dad, you have to understand.
00:57:57.480 I mean, it's a little weird.
00:58:00.360 I mean, it really is.
00:58:01.320 There are things that I have to do, things that I know that, quite frankly, I shouldn't know and I shouldn't be doing.
00:58:06.660 But, it is what it is.
00:58:12.040 And so, we're doing everything we possibly can to take care of Julia.
00:58:17.840 Because Julia is always going to be with us, as long as we are around.
00:58:21.880 Julia is going to live with us.
00:58:23.700 And Julia is never going to have a job.
00:58:26.480 And it's really, I got news for you, man.
00:58:29.180 It is really, really, really hitting us right now.
00:58:32.760 Because she's essentially in the last year, the final year of a program through her school.
00:58:41.560 And I don't know what's next.
00:58:44.640 And Heidi and I have talked about it and done everything to bang our heads against the wall and figure this out.
00:58:52.300 And that's what every parent of every special needs kid, certainly around the United States, thinks about.
00:59:03.920 So, the Morrissey family, Dan and Kristen or Emily and PJ's mom and dad, they said, okay, well, Emily's not really liking these job things.
00:59:18.420 What can we do?
00:59:20.160 What can we do?
00:59:21.120 They didn't say, geez, well, what is the government going to do?
00:59:24.100 Why isn't the government doing more?
00:59:25.620 You know, the government should do this.
00:59:26.880 The government should do that.
00:59:27.680 They said, well, this is our daughter.
00:59:29.080 And we love her.
00:59:29.740 And she's beautiful.
00:59:30.360 And she has this amazing ability to put beads on strings.
00:59:37.020 And can we set up a business for her?
00:59:41.880 See, that never would have occurred to me.
00:59:43.620 Because I'm not nearly as innovative.
00:59:46.680 But it occurred to them.
00:59:49.320 And they did it.
00:59:51.800 And PJ built her websites.
00:59:55.460 And in the interest of full disclosure, PJ's built all of my websites.
00:59:59.540 Because he's great.
01:00:01.780 And he's my social media director.
01:00:04.740 JeffKatz.us.
01:00:05.780 He would be angry if I didn't mention that, right?
01:00:07.500 JeffKatz.us.
01:00:08.320 But they did it all for Emily.
01:00:14.100 And they've done it.
01:00:16.740 And they're doing it.
01:00:17.980 And every morning, Emily is able to get up and go to work.
01:00:23.600 And they've set up a work location in their home.
01:00:27.840 And as PJ mentioned, their house burned down this year.
01:00:32.420 They lost their entire house.
01:00:35.100 It was Mother's Day.
01:00:38.120 Emily and I were actually riding together in a parade.
01:00:40.780 Because I've got a deal here in Central Virginia.
01:00:43.480 I'm fortunate.
01:00:44.560 People ask me to, you know, be the Grand Marshal of this or the Grand Marshal of that.
01:00:50.200 I was like, okay.
01:00:51.260 But it's a package deal.
01:00:53.660 I have to bring my official parade partner, Emily, with me.
01:00:57.160 Because if she's not with me, I'm not riding in your parade.
01:01:00.060 Because Emily's got that whole parade wave down, just like Queen Elizabeth did.
01:01:05.520 So we were in this parade earlier in the day.
01:01:07.980 And later in the evening, their house burned down.
01:01:11.320 They're going to be out of their house for the better part of a year.
01:01:13.200 And somehow, some way, they got more beads.
01:01:21.000 They set up a workspace for Emily.
01:01:24.280 And Emily, in their rented home, is back to making these beautiful bracelets.
01:01:31.340 PJ said they're just 25 bracelets away from selling 25,000.
01:01:36.080 They've been sent to every single state in America.
01:01:40.840 And it's not a government program.
01:01:44.880 It's not a school district program.
01:01:47.340 It's not social services.
01:01:50.000 It's mom and dad and her loving brother.
01:01:55.700 If you want to see the potential for America, you go to that website, EmilysBracelets.com.
01:02:03.840 EmilysBracelets.com.
01:02:05.680 I am so proud of them.
01:02:07.440 It is Jeff Katz sitting in for Glenn.
01:02:09.200 And this is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:02:23.860 The Glenn Beck Program.
01:02:27.340 Ever since he tried the Rough Greens for the first time, my dog Uno has changed.
01:02:31.240 He's a completely different dog.
01:02:33.080 I hear from people all the time in the audience.
01:02:35.620 I mean, hundreds and hundreds of letters have come in who have had the same experience with
01:02:40.320 their dog.
01:02:40.740 They've heard me talk about Rough Greens on the show.
01:02:42.520 They get some for themselves.
01:02:43.860 And as soon as they sprinkle it on the dog's food, the dog literally wolfs it down.
01:02:48.060 And it's really good for them.
01:02:49.240 It's not a dog food.
01:02:50.160 It's just chock full of vitamins and minerals and probiotics and omega oils that you sprinkle.
01:02:54.700 Your dog needs these things to be healthy.
01:02:57.500 My dog was easy.
01:02:58.500 From the first time he tried Rough Greens, Uno was in love.
01:03:01.540 Some dogs take a little bit to get used to the new flavor, though.
01:03:04.360 Dr. Dennis Black, the inventor of Rough Greens, was on the phone with me last week.
01:03:08.260 He doesn't want that to be a reason for you not to try.
01:03:10.520 So right now, he's got a special gift available.
01:03:12.640 You can get a free bag of Rough Greens for your dog just to try out.
01:03:17.020 All you pay is shipping.
01:03:18.200 Go to roughgreens.com slash Beck or call 833-GLEN-33.
01:03:23.280 Put it on your dog's food and begin to watch your dog become healthier.
01:03:27.320 As the mainstream media perpetuates the left's insanity, we're helping you fight back one truth at a time.
01:03:34.180 More Glenn Beck next.
01:03:35.420 It's the Glenn Beck program.
01:03:57.080 I'm Jeff Katz.
01:03:57.860 Happy to be sitting in for Glenn.
01:03:59.880 888-727-BECK.
01:04:01.780 888-727-BECK.
01:04:07.540 I am hoping that you'll visit Emily's bracelet store and help her hit that 25,000 bracelet sold mark.
01:04:17.200 I think that would be so cool.
01:04:18.420 That really would.
01:04:19.120 I'm concerned about the spin that we're seeing right about now about this conflict in the Middle East.
01:04:31.740 You know, I have family members or had family members.
01:04:36.020 I never met members of my father's family as well as members of my mother's family who died in the Holocaust, the Shoah.
01:04:46.340 And that is the last time, right, that we heard and saw anti-Semitism at this level.
01:04:56.420 I just got an email from someone who says, Jews are evil, period.
01:05:04.020 Oh, okay.
01:05:06.740 It's a bizarre thing to say, but it is, well, it's the thought of some.
01:05:11.240 And what is so disturbing right now for me is to see thousands of people around the world stand up and say things like, well, we should gas the Jews.
01:05:26.840 How come Hitler didn't finish the job?
01:05:28.540 And you'd like to think, my God, this sort of hatred, this sort of ugliness, this sort of depravity went away.
01:05:39.720 We're not even a hundred years out from the Holocaust.
01:05:46.360 And we are poised right now to see a repeat.
01:05:50.600 But I mentioned to you that I'm here in central Virginia, right in the Richmond area, NewsRadio WRVA.
01:06:00.980 We have an amazing Holocaust museum here.
01:06:05.940 And Richmond's not, it's not New York, it's not L.A., it's not Washington, D.C.
01:06:10.180 But to think that in Richmond, Virginia, there is this museum that educates people, that allows people to understand what really happened.
01:06:29.620 Now, I don't know if your travels are ever going to take you through Richmond, and that's okay.
01:06:33.480 But I would ask you, if they do, you can't go looking at the monuments anymore on Monument Avenue,
01:06:42.660 because in the interest of full inclusion, we've torn them down, and they're sitting at the wastewater treatment facility.
01:06:49.000 I mean, that's another story for another day.
01:06:51.260 Although, right up the road in D.C., Arlington National Cemetery, there's this reconciliation monument.
01:06:57.420 And it was created by one of America's great Jewish artists, Moses Ezekiel.
01:07:03.480 And the United States Army is now saying they're going to tear that monument down from its perch in Arlington National Cemetery.
01:07:13.560 There's a court order in place now prohibiting that, postponing it anyway.
01:07:17.680 I don't know if it's inevitable.
01:07:19.640 But it's so bizarre.
01:07:20.940 I mean, we've got people, it's like the American Taliban.
01:07:24.200 We're going to include people by excluding people.
01:07:26.900 We're going to do away with hatred by embracing hatred.
01:07:29.320 We're going to rewrite history, but it starts right now when we took power.
01:07:36.620 That's the Taliban.
01:07:39.180 And we are seeing that in the United States right now.
01:07:41.740 It's appalling.
01:07:43.560 Absolutely appalling.
01:07:44.320 And those same people, because they've been raised in this critical theory nonsense, they really believe the world's divided into two groups, the oppressed and the oppressors.
01:08:03.120 Think about that.
01:08:03.780 I know we've heard about critical race theory and how it's employed in schools.
01:08:10.700 But it wasn't always critical race theory.
01:08:12.760 It was just critical theory.
01:08:16.480 This is Marx.
01:08:19.100 Right?
01:08:19.620 We have two groups.
01:08:20.920 We have the oppressed and we have the oppressors.
01:08:22.620 The oppressed, obviously, are the workers.
01:08:24.540 And the oppressors, well, those are the people that own the means of production.
01:08:29.820 They own factories.
01:08:31.200 They're business people.
01:08:34.200 And you're a worker, so you're oppressed.
01:08:36.500 So you need to hate the person that owns your company.
01:08:39.280 That was the messaging.
01:08:42.400 And in terms of pure marketing, I guess it worked for a while.
01:08:48.280 What happened?
01:08:49.120 Well, there did come a point where people started saying, wait a minute, why do I hate the guy who owns the company again?
01:08:57.500 I mean, I've got a job.
01:09:00.600 And I make money and I buy groceries and I do the things I'm supposed to do.
01:09:05.520 And I earn my money working at that factory.
01:09:07.500 If I don't want to work there, I can go work somewhere else.
01:09:09.300 Now, why, again, am I supposed to hate the guy or the gal or the team of people that own and operate that factory?
01:09:15.260 And people started thinking outside the box a little bit.
01:09:21.260 They didn't have to be oppressed.
01:09:23.420 They could go out and, my gosh, if they were industrious enough or brave enough, they could try and start their own company, their own factory.
01:09:32.900 Some did.
01:09:34.200 And it worked.
01:09:34.940 Some tried and it failed.
01:09:37.580 That's the nature of this dreaded free market system, right?
01:09:41.540 There are no guarantees.
01:09:42.640 Guaranteed the opportunity.
01:09:46.640 But we don't guarantee results.
01:09:50.000 So, as that whole critical theory based strictly on economic strata started to wear off a little bit,
01:09:57.720 the folks behind the scenes said, well, we can't have people getting together.
01:10:05.280 People get together and they chat and they compare notes and they're working towards the same goal.
01:10:10.120 Well, that's going to really screw up our agenda, isn't it?
01:10:13.000 All right.
01:10:13.220 Well, we've got to keep them divided.
01:10:15.480 Got to stay in two groups, the oppressed and the oppressors.
01:10:18.100 You can't be in any other group.
01:10:20.140 That's it.
01:10:23.060 So, that's where critical race theory takes off.
01:10:26.560 Critical race theory says, well, you're a white guy, you're an oppressor.
01:10:30.860 You're a black guy, you're oppressed.
01:10:33.620 Doesn't matter what your income is, doesn't matter what your education is, doesn't matter at all.
01:10:37.860 There are two groups, you're in one of those two groups and that's it, no way out.
01:10:44.200 And you think about the ugliness of that critical race theory inside of schools.
01:10:49.500 Painfully ugly.
01:10:50.240 Think about two little boys who are friends, six, seven years old.
01:10:57.660 They play together, been to each other's house, swap pieces of their lunch because the one kid doesn't really like cheese sandwiches as much as his parents think he does.
01:11:10.740 And then somebody comes along and says, hey, you two, yeah, you know, you're never going to accomplish anything.
01:11:22.960 What?
01:11:23.780 Yeah, you're never going to accomplish anything.
01:11:25.980 And you know why?
01:11:26.720 Because of that kid over there.
01:11:31.200 And that little guy says, but wait a minute, that's my friend.
01:11:34.240 Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
01:11:36.040 You'll never do anything of consequence because of him.
01:11:40.340 Don't you understand you're oppressed?
01:11:43.080 Well, he's six years old.
01:11:44.240 No.
01:11:45.780 And part of the reason he doesn't think he's oppressed is because he's not oppressed.
01:11:49.800 And then you turn to the other six-year-old guy and go, hey, you know, you're only able to accomplish anything because that guy over there is oppressed and you're the oppressor.
01:12:01.700 And he doesn't have any better clue of what the hell you're talking about than the first kid did.
01:12:06.340 Not a clue.
01:12:09.580 But that's how we lay out critical race theory.
01:12:14.420 It's oppressed and oppressor.
01:12:15.440 And so we're seeing that in the least now.
01:12:16.900 So this generation, I guess two generations now raised with that critical theory underpinning, they now say you have to be in one of these two groups.
01:12:26.000 You're either the oppressed or you're the oppressor.
01:12:28.880 And they have said somehow, some way, that Israel is the oppressor.
01:12:35.020 And we're seeing this play out on the college campuses where we would have thought, my God, it is Harvard University.
01:12:46.380 Isn't that the best?
01:12:47.500 Aren't those the brightest?
01:12:48.380 And they're demonstrating that they're useful idiots, fools, and tools.
01:12:56.560 The one group that just about blew my mind.
01:13:04.460 Queers for Palestine.
01:13:06.780 You've seen the photos.
01:13:08.140 They're all over social media.
01:13:11.500 They're everywhere.
01:13:14.400 Queers for Palestine.
01:13:15.680 Because, again, they've determined they are oppressed.
01:13:19.600 So, therefore, they are going to side with the group they think is also oppressed.
01:13:23.340 Never mind that the only place in the Middle East where you could be openly gay and not have to worry about it is Israel.
01:13:36.200 The very place you want to drive into the sea, from the river to the sea.
01:13:40.360 It would be interesting, would it not, to see the queers for Palestine groups travel to Gaza, travel to the West Bank.
01:13:54.340 Are you kidding me?
01:13:58.400 It's insanity.
01:14:01.160 Absolute insanity.
01:14:02.920 And if you call it out somehow, you're part of the oppressive group, aren't you?
01:14:12.020 I don't know where this ends up, by the way.
01:14:14.280 I've got a little snippet.
01:14:15.220 I'm going to get to it in a moment.
01:14:16.900 Where, once again, Israel is being called out for daring to defend itself.
01:14:21.480 And you do have to understand that it is bigger than just the Jewish state.
01:14:26.400 It is the Jewish people.
01:14:27.940 And despite David, who sent me the note that said Jews are evil, period, there are a few of us that would probably disagree with that, right?
01:14:39.860 Yeah, I think so.
01:14:40.760 If you do want to jump ahead, I've got everything posted over on social media.
01:14:44.920 Now, look, Glenn is a superstar and has been for decades.
01:14:49.100 So, he's got like a billion people that follow him.
01:14:51.620 I'm just a humble little guy from central Virginia.
01:14:54.780 But if you wouldn't mind, I'd really appreciate it.
01:14:58.280 Would you follow me on X, formerly known as Twitter?
01:15:01.440 Jeff Katz Show on X, formerly known as Twitter.
01:15:04.640 Jeff Katz Show on X, formerly known as Twitter.
01:15:07.580 And then on Facebook, The Jeff Katz Show.
01:15:10.880 The Jeff Katz Show on Facebook.
01:15:13.440 And then because PJ, who was with us earlier, who really is, he really, honest to goodness, is my social media director, says,
01:15:19.580 Don't forget to tell them about your website, okay, jeffkatz.us, jeffkatz.us.
01:15:25.400 Otherwise, I'm going to get in trouble.
01:15:26.920 It is Jeff in for Glenn.
01:15:28.220 This is The Glenn Beck Program.
01:15:32.300 The Glenn Beck Program.
01:15:33.760 I want you to meet Kelsey.
01:15:49.200 When she found out she was pregnant, she wasn't sure where to turn.
01:15:51.940 But after meeting with the counselors at a pre-born network clinic who loved and supported her,
01:15:57.000 and after hearing her baby's heartbeat on a free ultrasound, she chose life.
01:16:01.540 When a mother looks at her child through a sonogram, it does something to you.
01:16:06.380 You know, I ended up deciding to keep my son.
01:16:09.980 He brings absolute joy to my heart.
01:16:12.000 I could not imagine life without him.
01:16:14.420 By introducing a woman to her baby on an ultrasound, the baby's chance at life doubles.
01:16:19.320 Please, if you have the means, would you consider a leadership gift to save babies in a big way?
01:16:24.000 Your tax-deductible donation of $5,000 will sponsor Preborn's entire network for 24 hours,
01:16:30.420 helping to rescue 200 babies.
01:16:32.980 And right now, through a match, your gift is doubled.
01:16:36.320 To donate, dial pound 250.
01:16:38.040 Say the keyword baby.
01:16:39.120 That's pound 250, keyword baby.
01:16:41.360 Or donate securely at preborn.com slash beck.
01:16:44.180 That's preborn.com slash beck.
01:16:46.220 Sponsored by Preborn.
01:16:47.360 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:16:58.660 Jeff Katz happened to be sitting in for Glenn.
01:17:01.920 888-727-BECK.
01:17:03.700 888-727-BECK.
01:17:06.060 I mentioned the losses that many of us experienced as a result of the Holocaust.
01:17:12.040 And it is why so many of us are really, honest to goodness, on guard and not fearful,
01:17:19.860 but paying very, very close attention to some of the things going on.
01:17:25.720 You've got to be hyper-vigilant.
01:17:26.880 And even as the Israelis are trying simply to defend themselves against Hamas,
01:17:35.780 you have people around the world, you have people here in the United States who are,
01:17:39.700 well, they're attacking Israel for daring to say,
01:17:42.600 we would like to live in peace.
01:17:44.020 CBS News is not exempt.
01:17:45.620 Cut number 10, please.
01:17:46.720 Israel doubled down on its mission to eliminate Hamas,
01:17:56.660 even as pressure rose for a ceasefire after Israel's military mistakenly killed three hostages Friday.
01:18:04.500 Families of those still captive in Gaza more desperate than ever.
01:18:08.260 We don't want them back in bags.
01:18:11.500 We are kind of hanging on a thread, and that thread is Joseph Biden.
01:18:14.580 Michael Oren is Israel's former ambassador to the U.S.
01:18:18.440 To what degree is U.S. pressure actually working?
01:18:21.120 It's going to work to a degree.
01:18:22.480 There may come a time where we would have to say to our American allies,
01:18:28.460 thank you, thank you for all you've done, but.
01:18:31.180 But that break has not happened yet.
01:18:34.180 On Saturday, Israel's prime minister revealed the restart of hostage talks with Qatar in Egypt.
01:18:39.460 And on Sunday, Israel reopened its direct crossing for aid into Gaza at Karim Shalom,
01:18:45.500 requested by the U.S., as desperate Gazans ransacked a U.N. aid truck crossing in from Egypt.
01:18:51.440 Piling on pressure now, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin landed in Israel hours ago.
01:18:57.000 What do you expect he's going to hammer home to Netanyahu?
01:18:59.500 He's going to say, start honing the operation.
01:19:02.220 If and until a ceasefire is agreed, Israel's strikes against Hamas continue,
01:19:07.600 but destroying refugee camps, hospitals, homes, and families.
01:19:12.020 In Khan Yunus, an Israeli tank shell hit a crowded maternity ward, injuring several and killing a teenage girl.
01:19:18.560 The shell hit her head here, said a doctor.
01:19:21.280 She was left with half a face.
01:19:22.980 Now, that is awful.
01:19:27.160 That is really, really awful.
01:19:33.240 That is war.
01:19:35.820 People who have been in war don't want any more wars.
01:19:39.020 Because they've seen up close and personal what happens.
01:19:43.120 I don't know about you.
01:19:44.240 I'm not happy to hear about a war.
01:19:46.820 I don't want anybody to be in that situation.
01:19:49.380 I really don't.
01:19:50.260 And I am really just taken aback.
01:19:55.760 I'm horrified.
01:19:56.460 I'm upset to hear that anybody, anywhere is placed in that situation.
01:19:59.960 But this is a war.
01:20:02.480 And this is what happens in wars.
01:20:06.180 People die.
01:20:07.420 Innocent people die.
01:20:09.580 And there comes a point where one side or the other says,
01:20:14.300 okay, that's enough.
01:20:17.700 Israel is trying everything it possibly can to live in peace.
01:20:25.080 And all of these calls for a ceasefire are fascinating.
01:20:27.960 But where were these people on October the 7th?
01:20:29.980 Because there was a ceasefire until October the 6th.
01:20:34.120 October the 6th, there was a ceasefire in place.
01:20:36.420 And it was Hamas who broke into Israel and slaughtered 1,200 people.
01:20:41.500 Innocent people.
01:20:44.740 What about that?
01:20:47.140 What about simply saying,
01:20:49.660 leave us alone.
01:20:52.440 You do you.
01:20:54.940 But let us live in peace.
01:20:58.360 Isn't that a hope?
01:20:59.400 I'd like to think so.

01:23:41.400 Is the American Dream dead?
01:23:44.940 You remember the American Dream?
01:23:46.940 Did we not all at some point have the American Dream?
01:23:50.360 The American Dream said
01:23:51.380 You've got an opportunity to go out there
01:23:53.940 And kind of make your way in the world
01:23:56.000 You've got to use hard work
01:23:58.780 You've got to be determined
01:24:01.040 You're going to need some measure of initiative
01:24:03.560 Anybody from anywhere could essentially do anything
01:24:08.720 Man, you could run for president
01:24:10.040 I mean, unless you're Donald Trump
01:24:11.860 In which case, four Supreme Court justices in the state of Colorado
01:24:16.640 Where the air is thin and the smoke is heavy from the weed
01:24:20.100 They said he can't run
01:24:23.060 But other than him, everybody else could, at least in theory, run
01:24:26.780 For a president of the United States
01:24:28.740 Might not win, but you could run
01:24:31.360 Want to start a business?
01:24:33.320 Got an opportunity
01:24:34.100 No guarantee it's going to be successful
01:24:36.140 Well, the Wall Street Journal
01:24:38.880 Just had this poll
01:24:41.720 And I know I'm with you on polls
01:24:43.640 They can say anything you wanted to say
01:24:45.120 But it is the Wall Street Journal
01:24:46.900 And I don't think they're exactly a radical, left, woke organization
01:24:53.020 And their polling was pretty straightforward
01:24:56.600 They said, hey
01:24:57.300 Do you still believe
01:24:59.780 I'm sorry
01:25:00.120 Do you believe in the American dream?
01:25:02.260 Not do you still believe
01:25:03.200 I still believe in it
01:25:04.360 But other folks, according to this poll, never believed in it
01:25:06.600 36% of the folks who answered this said, yep
01:25:10.060 American dream is still there
01:25:12.080 You work hard, you can get ahead
01:25:13.500 18% say, no, it was never true
01:25:19.220 That was never the case
01:25:21.320 And here's the troubling part
01:25:24.220 45% said, well
01:25:27.080 It used to be the case
01:25:29.960 But the American dream is not there anymore
01:25:32.860 Probably not a shock for you to hear
01:25:36.480 That those who believe
01:25:38.860 The American dream is no longer
01:25:40.700 Achievable
01:25:42.400 Have come to that conclusion
01:25:44.700 In the last four years or thereabouts
01:25:46.720 As Joe Biden and his gang of grifters
01:25:51.020 Have invaded the White House
01:25:52.560 And set up shop in the Oval Office
01:25:54.520 La Josa Nostra
01:25:57.760 The only people getting rich
01:25:58.960 During the Biden time in office
01:26:00.540 Are named Biden
01:26:01.900 I look at people who start businesses
01:26:08.080 And I, as I look back on my life
01:26:12.360 And I'm kind of at that point
01:26:13.600 I don't want to get too maudlin here
01:26:14.920 But, you know, Glenn and I are like the same age
01:26:16.960 And you do get to a point where you go
01:26:19.080 Yeah, you know, the hair's got some gray in it
01:26:21.120 I just don't care
01:26:21.740 I'm leaving it alone
01:26:22.580 Or, well, I'm just going to buy a pair of pants
01:26:24.960 That's a little bit bigger
01:26:25.840 And you start looking back
01:26:28.380 Because you realize
01:26:29.920 You don't really have 55 years ahead of you
01:26:32.920 You just don't
01:26:34.300 Except, well, Norman Lear was, what, 101 years old
01:26:37.520 When he passed away
01:26:38.300 A couple of weeks back
01:26:39.620 And the story this morning
01:26:41.480 Said the cause of death
01:26:44.600 For Norman Lear has been revealed
01:26:46.720 Well, I thought the cause of death
01:26:47.860 Was that he was 101 years old
01:26:49.440 Because anything after that
01:26:51.200 Is just, you know, just kind of window dressing
01:26:53.820 Isn't it?
01:26:54.300 But
01:26:56.040 You do look back a little bit
01:26:59.000 And I think, well
01:27:03.020 I've spent most of my life
01:27:05.020 Employed by others
01:27:07.300 Now, I've got what is colloquially called now
01:27:11.920 A side hustle
01:27:13.100 Or a part-time job
01:27:15.200 Or, you know, independent activity
01:27:16.840 I don't know
01:27:17.120 I call it whatever you want
01:27:18.260 But I love speaking and coaching and helping people
01:27:23.580 I really do
01:27:24.480 I love it
01:27:25.380 And so over the last year
01:27:29.620 Year, year and a half
01:27:30.380 Especially
01:27:30.920 I've done a lot of stuff
01:27:34.720 I've spent time in Dallas
01:27:37.020 With the Ziegler organization
01:27:39.440 Zig Ziegler's son, Tom
01:27:41.240 And the family
01:27:42.800 Conduct amazing trainings
01:27:45.660 If you're selected for them
01:27:46.800 And I was so thrilled
01:27:48.140 So humbled
01:27:48.860 To be accepted into that program
01:27:51.420 And to be able to say to people
01:27:52.860 I'm a Ziegler legacy certified coach
01:27:55.100 That's a big deal to me
01:27:56.180 And I said, but you know
01:27:57.960 I want more education
01:27:59.520 And I want more training
01:28:00.660 I want to be able to offer to people
01:28:02.260 As much as I possibly can
01:28:03.880 And I did a whole bunch of other stuff as well
01:28:05.860 And I also said, you know
01:28:09.080 I'm going to do the John Maxwell program as well
01:28:13.920 And so I did that
01:28:14.800 And I earned that designation
01:28:16.020 And I'm very proud of that
01:28:17.300 And now as I head into the year 2024
01:28:19.960 I've got some things I've got to do
01:28:22.700 Right?
01:28:24.380 There's an LLC
01:28:25.560 I didn't even know what that was
01:28:26.980 And I asked a friend of mine
01:28:29.440 Who's a very successful
01:28:31.080 Business guy
01:28:33.540 I said, can you help me?
01:28:37.660 Because I'd like to think
01:28:39.240 I'm relatively smart
01:28:40.240 Not necessarily the smartest
01:28:44.020 But, you know
01:28:45.540 I've read a book or two
01:28:46.820 And I said, but I don't know anything
01:28:50.100 About really setting up
01:28:52.140 A business business
01:28:53.500 And he said, yeah
01:28:55.000 Well, you need to do this
01:28:55.800 And you need to
01:28:56.260 Oh my gosh, okay
01:28:57.440 And he kind of
01:28:59.140 Sort of gave me some great pointers
01:29:00.920 Great insight
01:29:01.640 And I said, well 2024 is the year
01:29:04.960 We're going to do that
01:29:05.640 We're going to set that up
01:29:06.520 And I look at him
01:29:10.040 And I'm just going to share with you
01:29:11.940 That he's a dear friend
01:29:14.720 Although I always tell people
01:29:16.240 That I demoted him
01:29:17.680 From friend to family
01:29:19.160 And he and his wife
01:29:22.000 Own and operate
01:29:23.240 An auto repair shop
01:29:24.560 Here in Central Virginia
01:29:25.720 Stan and Megan
01:29:26.920 And Stan and Megan
01:29:30.020 Are living the American dream
01:29:32.220 So I know the American dream
01:29:33.760 Is not dead
01:29:34.480 And the American dream
01:29:36.960 For them involves
01:29:38.260 Owning a business
01:29:40.720 Now what is Stan's background?
01:29:43.440 Well Stan
01:29:43.820 Is an auto mechanic
01:29:46.720 And not just any auto mechanic
01:29:48.020 You know how they have
01:29:48.560 Different levels
01:29:49.240 There's C level techs
01:29:50.640 And B level techs
01:29:51.540 And A level techs
01:29:52.120 Well Stan's like an A plus level tech
01:29:53.560 He's like
01:29:53.880 He's like the car whisperer
01:29:55.220 Man you can drive your car
01:29:56.360 Buy it
01:29:56.920 And he picks it up
01:29:58.140 And he can tell you
01:29:58.880 What's wrong with it
01:29:59.520 Or what's right with it
01:30:00.440 And he said
01:30:02.080 I want to own my own shop
01:30:03.860 And his wife said
01:30:05.420 Okay well we can do that
01:30:06.500 And it's now about 10 years on
01:30:09.040 They've started their own shop
01:30:10.980 And they're doing okay
01:30:13.380 But I've learned so much
01:30:16.020 Because as he's living
01:30:19.160 His American dream
01:30:20.360 Which I should tell you
01:30:22.560 Is not all about dollars and cents
01:30:24.180 It's about being in a position
01:30:26.980 To help people
01:30:27.720 Help your family to be sure
01:30:30.540 Share with your family
01:30:33.840 Some of the wealth
01:30:35.720 Give them opportunities
01:30:38.060 And experiences
01:30:39.100 But by living his American dream
01:30:42.580 By living her American dream
01:30:43.760 They're creating an American dream
01:30:45.160 For all the people
01:30:45.740 Who work for them
01:30:46.560 And every single one
01:30:48.700 Of those people
01:30:49.260 Inside that business
01:30:50.560 Can say you know
01:30:52.140 I learned
01:30:53.080 How you should treat people
01:30:55.800 And it's not just the people
01:30:57.320 In the business
01:30:57.880 It's people outside the business
01:30:58.800 How do you treat the customers
01:30:59.760 That's part of the American dream
01:31:02.480 And they're doing it
01:31:05.180 And so the next time
01:31:07.400 The Wall Street Journal
01:31:08.240 Or any group
01:31:08.740 Was to put one of these polls
01:31:09.900 Out in the field
01:31:10.580 I would suggest to them
01:31:11.880 That they go to
01:31:12.780 Local business people
01:31:14.100 I've got other friends
01:31:16.940 Who own a restaurant
01:31:17.840 About a mile and a half
01:31:19.620 Down the road from me
01:31:20.500 Two miles down the road from me
01:31:22.160 And I go there all the time
01:31:23.840 Wendy and John
01:31:25.820 And Wendy and John
01:31:26.600 Man they
01:31:27.100 They said you know
01:31:29.180 We're going to leave
01:31:30.020 Our careers
01:31:31.460 And they were both
01:31:32.320 Very successful
01:31:33.160 But Wendy had said
01:31:34.820 I've always wanted
01:31:35.740 To own a restaurant
01:31:36.740 I just
01:31:37.180 I want to own a restaurant
01:31:38.520 I love cooking
01:31:39.280 And I love
01:31:39.700 Making people happy
01:31:41.220 When they eat
01:31:41.820 And what do they do
01:31:43.820 Start at a restaurant
01:31:45.320 And they're coming up
01:31:46.140 I think on
01:31:46.700 Six or seven years now
01:31:48.780 It's not easy
01:31:51.220 See and that's part of
01:31:52.460 The polling here
01:31:53.560 Is oh yeah
01:31:54.080 It was never true
01:31:54.800 It's always been true
01:31:56.220 But there have been
01:31:57.640 A lot of people
01:31:58.320 Who have said
01:31:58.600 Yeah that's just
01:31:59.320 Too tough for me
01:32:00.240 I don't want to
01:32:02.620 I don't want to
01:32:04.420 Take that sort of a chance
01:32:05.600 I don't want to
01:32:07.460 I don't want to
01:32:08.200 Work that hard
01:32:09.200 And so
01:32:11.240 For them
01:32:12.560 The American dream is
01:32:13.940 Somebody comes along
01:32:15.240 And gives me
01:32:16.320 Everything I've ever wanted
01:32:18.260 That's not the American dream
01:32:20.040 That's hitting the lottery
01:32:20.960 And there's a difference
01:32:22.680 The American dream
01:32:25.280 Requires a degree of
01:32:27.000 Focus
01:32:27.580 And confidence
01:32:29.020 And dare I say it
01:32:31.940 A little bit of risk taking
01:32:32.900 That's part of the American dream
01:32:37.540 Winning the lottery means
01:32:38.700 Hey
01:32:38.900 I just got a big pile of cash
01:32:40.520 I can buy anything I want
01:32:42.400 I've always wanted
01:32:44.200 A pair of
01:32:44.660 Electric powered socks
01:32:47.800 Got them
01:32:48.380 I'm going to get them
01:32:48.900 In six different colors
01:32:49.680 By the way
01:32:50.160 You know what I really want
01:32:51.680 I want
01:32:52.700 I want mink lined
01:32:54.200 Jockey shorts
01:32:55.280 There you go
01:32:56.000 Got them
01:32:56.480 Now what are you going to do
01:32:58.860 You have to invest
01:33:01.520 In yourself
01:33:02.200 Here we are
01:33:04.840 We just wound up
01:33:05.740 Hanukkah
01:33:06.400 A couple of days away
01:33:08.460 From Christmas
01:33:09.060 And there are people
01:33:10.700 Are going to be focused on gifts
01:33:11.860 I understand that
01:33:12.740 Except for Joe Biden
01:33:14.320 Joe Biden lit
01:33:15.300 The national Christmas tree
01:33:16.860 Never once
01:33:18.260 Mentions Jesus
01:33:19.820 Not once
01:33:21.080 I don't know
01:33:23.780 There are movements
01:33:25.140 All over the world
01:33:26.720 Quite frankly
01:33:27.380 To put Christ
01:33:28.720 Back into Christmas
01:33:29.960 Right
01:33:30.280 We've heard about it
01:33:31.520 For years
01:33:32.440 Joe Biden
01:33:34.740 Somehow manages
01:33:35.680 To take Christ
01:33:36.680 Out of Christmas
01:33:37.520 Even at the lighting
01:33:38.720 Of the national Christmas tree
01:33:40.560 He's accomplished
01:33:41.980 Nothing else
01:33:42.600 But that's
01:33:43.120 That's
01:33:43.520 That's one
01:33:43.960 For the record books
01:33:44.960 He's
01:33:48.000 He's the Peter principle
01:33:49.980 Is what he is
01:33:51.040 He's a little bit
01:33:53.020 Like Mr. Magoo
01:33:53.840 He just sort of
01:33:54.460 Wanders around
01:33:55.180 And somehow
01:33:55.600 Winds up
01:33:56.220 In the Oval Office
01:33:56.920 Does this
01:33:57.360 He doesn't know
01:33:57.920 What's going on
01:33:58.520 It doesn't seem like
01:33:59.340 But I got news for you
01:34:01.180 He does know
01:34:01.720 What's going on
01:34:02.500 Because Joe Biden
01:34:05.080 With all due respect
01:34:06.320 To Ric Flair
01:34:07.060 Joe Biden
01:34:08.140 Is the dirtiest
01:34:08.920 Player in the game
01:34:09.700 Joe Biden
01:34:11.720 Has had this
01:34:12.440 Operation going
01:34:13.480 For 50 years
01:34:15.020 And that's why
01:34:16.340 I look at him
01:34:17.060 And I look at his
01:34:17.560 Gang of grifters
01:34:18.200 And I refer to them
01:34:19.080 As La Josa Nostra
01:34:20.680 He reminds me
01:34:21.560 Of that
01:34:22.520 Mafia Don
01:34:24.380 Who used to
01:34:24.980 Walk around the streets
01:34:26.160 In his bathrobe
01:34:27.000 Remember that guy
01:34:27.780 And his whole thing
01:34:30.720 Was oh you know
01:34:31.340 Look I'm too crazy
01:34:32.300 I'm not smart enough
01:34:33.120 I can't do that
01:34:33.720 I'm walking around
01:34:34.440 Outside in the bathroom
01:34:35.220 Meanwhile behind the scenes
01:34:36.880 He's pulling every single
01:34:37.780 String there is to pull
01:34:38.640 There is an American dream
01:34:43.520 That's achievable
01:34:44.280 But there is a huge
01:34:46.840 Difference between
01:34:47.840 Pursuing the American dream
01:34:49.820 And getting
01:34:50.580 A winning
01:34:51.660 Lottery ticket
01:34:52.860 They are two
01:34:53.680 Entirely
01:34:54.900 Different
01:34:55.680 Things
01:34:56.820 Biden is doing
01:35:00.280 Everything possible
01:35:01.140 To tell you
01:35:02.680 You can't do it
01:35:04.400 Former President Trump
01:35:06.320 Is standing
01:35:06.800 Off
01:35:07.560 Over on this side
01:35:08.640 And over there
01:35:09.260 And at these big rallies
01:35:10.140 Saying of course
01:35:10.780 You can do it
01:35:11.400 We're not giving
01:35:12.700 Anything to you
01:35:13.440 You've got to earn it
01:35:14.540 He of course
01:35:16.660 Continues to be under attack
01:35:17.840 By so many members
01:35:18.780 Of the
01:35:19.200 Legacy news media
01:35:20.500 I'm going to share
01:35:21.080 One of those things
01:35:21.780 With you in a moment
01:35:22.420 If you do want to
01:35:23.440 Jump ahead
01:35:23.940 Hey
01:35:24.160 I do put everything up
01:35:25.520 On social media
01:35:26.180 Just to make it super easy

01:35:43.940 Ever since he tried
01:35:48.040 The Rough Greens
01:35:48.520 For the first time
01:35:49.160 My dog
01:35:49.660 Uno
01:35:49.980 Has changed
01:35:50.820 He's a completely
01:35:51.660 Different dog
01:35:52.740 I hear from people
01:35:53.740 All the time
01:35:54.560 In the audience
01:35:55.280 I mean hundreds
01:35:56.360 And hundreds
01:35:57.020 Of letters
01:35:57.540 Have come in
01:35:58.260 Who have had
01:35:58.980 The same experience
01:35:59.800 With their dog
01:36:00.340 They've heard me
01:36:00.860 Talk about Rough Greens
01:36:01.700 On the show
01:36:02.100 They get some
01:36:02.680 For themselves
01:36:03.260 And as soon as
01:36:04.160 They sprinkle it
01:36:04.680 On the dog's food
01:36:05.420 The dog literally
01:36:06.440 Wolfs it down
01:36:07.540 And it's really good
01:36:08.600 For them
01:36:08.860 It's not a dog food
01:36:09.720 It's just chock full
01:36:10.640 Of vitamins and minerals
01:36:11.680 And probiotics
01:36:12.660 And omega oils
01:36:13.440 That you sprinkle
01:36:14.100 Your dog needs
01:36:15.360 These things
01:36:16.080 To be healthy
01:36:16.880 My dog was easy
01:36:18.060 From the first time
01:36:18.740 He tried Rough Greens
01:36:19.640 Uno was in love
01:36:21.000 Some dogs
01:36:21.820 Take a little bit
01:36:22.540 To get used
01:36:23.060 To the new flavor
01:36:23.760 Though

01:36:25.120 The inventor
01:36:25.660 Of Rough Greens
01:36:26.460 Was on the phone
01:36:27.000 With me last week
01:36:27.820 He doesn't want
01:36:28.440 That to be a reason

01:36:59.220 Happy to be sitting in
01:37:00.180 For Glenn
01:37:00.560 Let me share with you
01:37:02.080 The pre-crafted commentary
01:37:07.080 On former President Trump
01:37:09.200 I know
01:37:10.300 I know
01:37:10.740 And I say it
01:37:11.180 Every single time
01:37:11.760 I have to talk
01:37:12.400 About former President Trump
01:37:14.200 Who I gotta tell you
01:37:15.280 I'm hoping is also
01:37:16.360 Future President Trump
01:37:17.660 Because
01:37:17.960 God
01:37:18.520 We've gotta fix this country
01:37:19.820 It's amazing
01:37:21.140 How quickly
01:37:22.000 Stuff can be screwed up
01:37:23.600 When you really want
01:37:24.180 To screw it up
01:37:24.860 And make no mistake
01:37:26.000 The Obamatons
01:37:27.380 Who have stayed
01:37:28.120 In the Biden White House
01:37:30.300 Are firmly
01:37:31.540 Firmly entrenched
01:37:32.720 In their desire
01:37:33.360 To screw stuff up
01:37:34.300 Former President Trump
01:37:36.720 Had a couple of comments
01:37:38.320 Recently
01:37:38.780 And no great surprise here
01:37:40.560 He's attacked for them
01:37:42.040 And he's attacked for them
01:37:43.400 By people who
01:37:44.240 Did not hear the comments
01:37:45.600 Do not understand the comments
01:37:47.580 And frankly
01:37:48.220 Don't care what the comments are
01:37:49.620 Because they've already decided
01:37:50.780 They hate Trump
01:37:52.460 And many of those folks
01:37:54.320 Reside inside of newsrooms
01:37:56.640 Around America
01:37:57.340 Take a listen to cut number 11
01:37:59.280 Trump under fire
01:38:02.880 The former President
01:38:04.000 Using language
01:38:04.780 That echoes white supremacists
01:38:06.400 And Nazi Germany
01:38:07.420 On Saturday in New Hampshire
01:38:08.900 Trump intensified
01:38:10.040 His anti-immigrant statements
01:38:11.720 Controversial comments
01:38:12.880 About undocumented immigrants
01:38:14.660 Comments over the weekend
01:38:15.740 Attacking immigrants
01:38:16.940 Ramping up his attacks
01:38:18.100 On immigrants
01:38:18.940 Using phrases
01:38:19.940 That have clear ties
01:38:21.200 To white supremacy
01:38:21.940 And Hitler
01:38:22.860 Had a lot of jaws dropped
01:38:24.280 Listening to the
01:38:25.300 Former president's words
01:38:26.560 Over the weekend
01:38:27.320 Comments the White House
01:38:28.500 Called grotesque
01:38:29.660 And that the Biden campaign
01:38:30.920 Compared to Nazi rhetoric
01:38:33.060 The Biden campaign
01:38:34.120 Accusing Trump
01:38:34.940 Of parroting Adolf Hitler
01:38:36.520 Writing Trump
01:38:37.320 Parroted Adolf Hitler
01:38:38.600 Praised Kim Jong-un
01:38:40.060 And quoted Vladimir Putin
01:38:41.660 While running for president
01:38:42.820 Trump also called
01:38:43.920 North Korean dictator
01:38:44.980 Kim Jong-un
01:38:45.900 Very nice
01:38:46.860 And he quoted
01:38:48.020 Russian President
01:38:48.900 Vladimir Putin
01:38:49.840 The former president
01:38:50.720 Also praising dictators
01:38:52.500 Lavishing praise
01:38:53.620 On dictators
01:38:54.440 But only one of Trump's
01:38:55.720 Republican rivals
01:38:56.600 Have blasted him
01:38:57.660 For the remark
01:38:58.320 He's disgusting
01:38:59.700 Beyond Chris Christie
01:39:00.980 Though
01:39:01.340 Haven't seen as much
01:39:02.880 Explicit criticism
01:39:03.820 From fellow Republicans
01:39:05.100 That's crass politics
01:39:06.200 For you Gail
01:39:06.720 Yeah
01:39:07.620 They say politics
01:39:08.680 Is a blood sport
01:39:09.580 A lot of people
01:39:10.200 Are bleeding
01:39:10.620 Is that what's happening
01:39:12.620 Is that what's happening
01:39:12.640 Oh really Gail
01:39:13.600 Is that what's happening
01:39:14.480 No
01:39:15.660 My bad
01:39:16.780 I thought
01:39:17.800 That it was a collection
01:39:19.020 Of left wingers
01:39:20.780 Who had been deployed
01:39:21.620 To newsrooms
01:39:22.480 With one assignment
01:39:23.500 And that's to torpedo
01:39:24.600 Former President Trump
01:39:26.180 Every single chance
01:39:26.980 They have
01:39:27.560 You notice what wasn't there
01:39:29.140 Were Trump's actual comments
01:39:31.600 Nobody addresses
01:39:34.720 What he said
01:39:35.780 Don't you think
01:39:38.720 That that
01:39:39.280 Again
01:39:39.740 Far be it for me
01:39:41.000 I'm not a granulate
01:39:42.620 Of one of those
01:39:43.300 Big time fancy
01:39:44.100 Journalism schools
01:39:45.780 But don't you think
01:39:47.420 That at some point
01:39:48.880 In such an examination
01:39:50.480 Of what former
01:39:51.300 President Trump said
01:39:52.440 You would actually
01:39:53.200 Like to report
01:39:53.920 What it was
01:39:54.580 That he said
01:39:55.580 One guy
01:39:57.160 One guy
01:39:58.200 Calls them all out
01:39:59.360 Senator J.D. Vance
01:40:00.400 Cut number six
01:40:01.140 So what do you have to say
01:40:05.160 To the former
01:40:06.540 President's comments
01:40:07.500 Over the weekend
01:40:08.220 About immigrants
01:40:09.020 And saying that
01:40:09.760 They're poisoning
01:40:10.240 The blood of America
01:40:11.280 Well look
01:40:12.580 I've been asked
01:40:13.020 This question
01:40:13.440 A number of times
01:40:14.100 And here's my view
01:40:15.940 On these comments
01:40:17.240 First of all
01:40:17.680 He didn't say
01:40:18.100 Immigrants
01:40:18.720 Were poisoning
01:40:19.300 The blood of this country
01:40:20.440 He said
01:40:20.860 Illegal immigrants
01:40:22.140 Were poisoning
01:40:22.680 The blood of the country
01:40:23.500 Which is objectively
01:40:24.820 And obviously true
01:40:26.460 To anybody
01:40:27.040 Who looks at the statistics
01:40:28.140 About fentanyl overdoses
01:40:29.540 And I think
01:40:30.520 Just one observation
01:40:31.840 About the press
01:40:33.100 As an organization
01:40:34.340 You guys seem
01:40:35.620 Far more upset
01:40:36.660 About the guy
01:40:37.660 Who criticized
01:40:38.420 The problem
01:40:39.120 Than you did
01:40:39.760 About Joe Biden
01:40:40.440 Who's causing
01:40:41.220 This problem
01:40:41.860 Can you just go back
01:40:43.040 To his comments
01:40:43.840 Sure
01:40:44.140 And sort of
01:40:44.660 Using language
01:40:45.400 That we heard
01:40:46.020 During World War II
01:40:47.220 I'm sure you're
01:40:47.720 A student of history
01:40:48.540 You're well aware
01:40:49.240 What that kind of language
01:40:50.260 Represents
01:40:51.400 In historical context
01:40:53.380 What organization
01:40:54.220 Do you represent?
01:40:54.940 I work at
01:40:55.420 The Associated Press
01:40:56.340 The idea
01:40:57.260 That I am well aware
01:40:58.800 You just framed
01:41:00.640 Your question
01:41:01.380 Implicitly assuming
01:41:03.280 That Donald Trump
01:41:04.380 Is talking about
01:41:05.180 Adolf Hitler
01:41:05.880 It's absurd
01:41:07.200 It is absurd
01:41:08.560 Why do you think
01:41:09.900 That Donald Trump's
01:41:10.740 Language is targeted
01:41:11.960 At the blood
01:41:13.180 Of the immigrants
01:41:13.800 And not at the blood
01:41:14.760 Of the American citizens
01:41:15.740 Who are being poisoned
01:41:16.940 By the fentanyl problem
01:41:18.420 You think he was referring
01:41:19.240 To fentanyl?
01:41:19.620 I think this is ridiculous
01:41:20.180 If you watch the speech
01:41:21.920 In context
01:41:22.720 And you look at
01:41:23.380 What's going on
01:41:24.180 It is obvious
01:41:25.240 That he was talking
01:41:26.060 About the very clear fact
01:41:28.120 That the blood
01:41:28.920 Of Americans
01:41:29.420 Is being poisoned
01:41:30.560 By a drug epidemic
01:41:32.400 To take that comment
01:41:35.220 And then to immediately
01:41:36.580 Assume
01:41:37.580 That he's talking
01:41:38.620 About immigrants
01:41:39.600 As Adolf Hitler
01:41:40.880 Talked about Jews
01:41:41.920 Is preposterous
01:41:43.540 You guys need to
01:41:44.320 Wake up
01:41:45.060 And actually do some
01:41:46.180 Journalism
01:41:46.340 Should he use
01:41:46.660 Different language then?
01:41:47.740 Because that is
01:41:48.280 Language that Hitler means
01:41:49.380 Here's the problem
01:41:50.480 With that question
01:41:51.320 And that framing
01:41:52.040 You are allegedly
01:41:53.160 A journalist
01:41:53.720 You're supposed to
01:41:54.840 Speak truth to power
01:41:56.200 And yet
01:41:57.080 You're trying
01:41:57.780 To circumscribe
01:41:58.860 And narrow
01:41:59.620 The limits
01:42:00.500 Of debate
01:42:01.040 On immigration
01:42:01.600 In this country
01:42:02.300 What you're doing
01:42:03.500 Is not speaking
01:42:04.460 Truth to power
01:42:05.300 You're trying
01:42:05.980 To police the guy
01:42:06.660 Who's criticizing
01:42:07.340 The problem
01:42:07.880 So that Americans
01:42:08.700 Don't pay attention
01:42:09.380 To the guy
01:42:09.760 Who caused the problem
01:42:10.520 It's an absurd question
01:42:11.740 It's an absurd
01:42:12.580 Thank God
01:42:15.460 For Senator J.D. Vance
01:42:17.020 He actually calls her out
01:42:19.620 He actually addresses
01:42:21.180 The real issues
01:42:22.620 I doubt you'll hear
01:42:24.820 That very much
01:42:26.140 But at least he
01:42:27.840 Was able to do it
01:42:29.040 Most Americans
01:42:30.320 Are now living
01:42:31.520 Paycheck to paycheck
01:42:32.460 This is going to be
01:42:33.380 The worst Christmas
01:42:35.140 For a huge chunk
01:42:37.100 Of Americans
01:42:38.040 I've got details on that
01:42:39.440 I'm going to share
01:42:40.000 Them with you
01:42:40.680 Just a moment from now

01:43:06.700 I want you to meet Kelsey
01:43:09.940 When she found out
01:43:11.000 She was pregnant
01:43:11.580 She wasn't sure
01:43:12.340 Where to turn
01:43:13.040 But after meeting
01:43:13.880 With the counselors
01:43:14.680 At a pre-born network clinic
01:43:16.380 Who loved and supported her
01:43:17.900 And after hearing
01:43:18.860 Her baby's heartbeat
01:43:20.040 On a free ultrasound
01:43:21.260 She chose life
01:43:22.640 When a mother looks
01:43:23.840 At her child
01:43:24.880 Through a sonogram
01:43:25.820 It does something to you
01:43:27.280 You know
01:43:27.840 I ended up deciding
01:43:29.000 To keep my son
01:43:30.860 He brings absolute joy
01:43:32.340 To my heart
01:43:32.920 I could not imagine

01:43:37.120 On an ultrasound
01:43:38.100 The baby's chance

01:44:37.160 Happy to be sitting in
01:44:38.140 For Glenn
01:44:39.440 Two-thirds of Americans
01:44:41.180 Are now living
01:44:42.020 Paycheck to paycheck
01:44:43.260 That number is heading
01:44:44.260 In the wrong direction
01:44:45.160 It's going up
01:44:46.600 And up
01:44:46.980 And up
01:44:47.320 It's gone up
01:44:47.900 Consistently
01:44:48.900 Since Joe Biden
01:44:50.520 And his
01:44:51.820 His team
01:44:52.880 Took over
01:44:54.500 Have you
01:44:56.340 Have you lived
01:44:56.960 Paycheck to paycheck
01:44:57.780 Do you live
01:44:58.760 Paycheck to paycheck
01:44:59.420 Right now
01:44:59.820 I understand completely
01:45:00.640 What it's like
01:45:01.100 To live paycheck
01:45:01.620 Paycheck to paycheck
01:45:02.700 I'm finally at a point
01:45:05.200 On a personal basis
01:45:06.240 Where
01:45:06.640 Where
01:45:08.180 Man I don't want
01:45:09.240 To tempt fate
01:45:09.960 As they say
01:45:10.540 But
01:45:10.980 We're
01:45:14.100 We're okay
01:45:14.860 I guess that's
01:45:16.240 The best way
01:45:16.620 To say it
01:45:16.940 We're okay
01:45:17.360 And I'm grateful
01:45:18.080 I'm grateful
01:45:19.780 For
01:45:20.240 For all
01:45:20.960 That we have
01:45:21.760 And it's
01:45:22.160 Not just
01:45:22.660 Material stuff
01:45:23.460 Although
01:45:23.800 Look
01:45:25.100 Life can be
01:45:26.100 Easier
01:45:26.900 With some
01:45:28.080 Stuff
01:45:28.540 Heidi and I
01:45:31.060 Live in a
01:45:31.380 Beautiful place
01:45:32.120 Absolutely
01:45:33.480 Love my house
01:45:34.320 I love it
01:45:35.280 I love it
01:45:36.100 I grew up
01:45:38.880 In Philadelphia
01:45:39.540 In the city
01:45:40.140 Of Philadelphia
01:45:40.780 And we grew up
01:45:43.040 In what
01:45:43.460 At that time
01:45:44.000 They were called
01:45:44.780 Row houses
01:45:45.380 And you had
01:45:46.380 Rows of houses
01:45:47.360 Hence the name
01:45:48.140 Row house
01:45:48.700 You had I don't know
01:45:49.980 30 houses or whatever
01:45:51.800 On each side of the street
01:45:53.120 You had windows
01:45:54.300 In the front of your house
01:45:55.140 In the back of your house
01:45:56.020 If you were really lucky
01:45:56.900 You lived in one of the end units
01:45:58.000 Which meant
01:45:58.380 That you had windows
01:45:59.280 On three sides of your house
01:46:00.540 I was
01:46:03.740 I was 18 years old
01:46:05.840 Plus
01:46:06.440 By the time
01:46:08.040 My parents
01:46:08.660 Owned a home
01:46:09.320 That had windows
01:46:09.940 On all four sides
01:46:10.980 And my view
01:46:13.500 Growing up
01:46:14.080 Out my bedroom window
01:46:15.160 And I will never forget
01:46:16.300 It was
01:46:16.860 Of a dirty alleyway
01:46:18.280 With trash cans
01:46:19.340 That was my view
01:46:20.460 And I realized
01:46:24.280 I didn't want that
01:46:24.980 To always be my view
01:46:26.260 And so now
01:46:27.680 I sit here
01:46:28.460 I've got this
01:46:31.340 Amazing
01:46:32.040 Stand alone
01:46:33.860 Building
01:46:35.060 It's not huge
01:46:36.340 I mean
01:46:36.680 Some might call it
01:46:37.500 A shed
01:46:37.880 But I wouldn't
01:46:38.800 I call it
01:46:39.820 The plaque shack
01:46:40.640 Because it is festooned
01:46:42.700 With letters
01:46:43.780 And certificates
01:46:44.540 And awards
01:46:45.180 Telling me
01:46:45.780 How wonderful I am
01:46:47.160 My lovely bride
01:46:49.660 Refers to these
01:46:50.480 As my walls
01:46:51.300 Of low self-esteem
01:46:52.400 And insecurity
01:46:53.040 Which is probably
01:46:54.240 Pretty close to the mark
01:46:55.400 But I'm looking out
01:46:57.780 My window right now
01:46:58.780 And I'm looking at
01:46:59.560 Grass
01:47:00.660 And trees
01:47:01.560 It's too cold
01:47:02.880 For flowers now
01:47:03.820 In central Virginia
01:47:05.420 But I mean
01:47:06.080 I'm looking at
01:47:06.860 A beautiful blue sky
01:47:08.180 Right now
01:47:08.820 And God forbid
01:47:12.160 Something terrible
01:47:12.940 Were to happen
01:47:13.740 I'd like to think
01:47:15.480 We'll be
01:47:16.300 Okay
01:47:17.400 We now have
01:47:20.740 Two-thirds of adults
01:47:22.020 Who say they are
01:47:22.600 Living paycheck to paycheck
01:47:23.780 In other words
01:47:24.520 If something happens
01:47:25.900 To them
01:47:26.280 If they lose
01:47:27.660 Their job today
01:47:28.760 They're done
01:47:32.000 Right
01:47:32.480 Maybe that ties
01:47:33.260 Into this idea
01:47:34.040 That somehow
01:47:34.900 The American dream
01:47:35.940 Is dead
01:47:36.760 You and I
01:47:39.900 Are experiencing
01:47:40.500 Terrible inflation
01:47:41.440 I don't care
01:47:42.020 How much spin
01:47:42.760 There is
01:47:43.200 I don't care
01:47:43.700 How many
01:47:44.300 Of the talking heads
01:47:45.600 In D.C.
01:47:47.140 Are doing their best
01:47:48.240 To tell us
01:47:49.060 That everything
01:47:49.600 Is just fine
01:47:51.280 You and I know
01:47:52.520 Because we go
01:47:53.240 To the grocery store
01:47:54.360 We go and fill up
01:47:56.540 The car with gasoline
01:47:57.740 We know that
01:48:01.740 Prices are
01:48:02.660 Considerably higher
01:48:04.240 And that's
01:48:05.840 Biden inflation
01:48:06.580 At work
01:48:07.000 Right there
01:48:07.520 Biden inflation
01:48:08.360 Man
01:48:08.760 It is nasty
01:48:12.100 It is ugly
01:48:13.100 But it's
01:48:13.780 It's what's
01:48:15.480 Happening right now
01:48:16.300 And then people
01:48:19.640 Are going further
01:48:20.360 Into debt
01:48:21.120 Because of
01:48:23.400 Christmas
01:48:25.180 I gotta buy
01:48:26.900 Somebody something
01:48:27.520 Special
01:48:27.900 Okay
01:48:28.320 What are you
01:48:29.520 Getting yourself
01:48:30.140 Because this is
01:48:31.260 Where I finally
01:48:32.500 Got a hold
01:48:33.320 On this
01:48:33.840 While ago
01:48:35.140 We spend so
01:48:38.140 Much time
01:48:38.700 Buying these
01:48:39.420 Things
01:48:39.820 Buying stuff
01:48:41.340 And I don't
01:48:43.980 Want you to
01:48:44.280 Think I don't
01:48:44.660 Have stuff
01:48:45.060 Man I got
01:48:45.520 A lot of
01:48:46.260 Stuff
01:48:46.520 I got way
01:48:47.520 Too much
01:48:47.980 Stuff
01:48:48.280 To be
01:48:48.560 Just to be
01:48:50.680 Brutally honest
01:48:51.340 I got way
01:48:52.000 Too much
01:48:52.420 Stuff
01:48:52.720 But I got
01:48:54.560 Stuff
01:48:54.900 And it
01:48:56.580 Wasn't
01:48:57.060 Until
01:48:57.740 Probably the
01:49:00.180 Last year
01:49:01.260 Or so
01:49:01.660 When I
01:49:03.520 Had to
01:49:03.800 Go down
01:49:04.340 To Florida
01:49:05.460 And help
01:49:07.100 My brother
01:49:07.500 Sell our
01:49:08.400 Mom's
01:49:09.040 House
01:49:09.740 My dad
01:49:10.580 Passed away
01:49:11.360 Years ago
01:49:12.600 My mom
01:49:13.880 Passed away
01:49:14.540 A few years
01:49:15.120 Back and
01:49:15.740 We just
01:49:16.180 Finally said
01:49:16.740 Look
01:49:17.000 We're
01:49:18.300 We're not
01:49:18.920 Going to
01:49:19.100 Live in
01:49:19.300 The house
01:49:19.720 He had
01:49:20.180 Been living
01:49:20.900 There but
01:49:21.280 He didn't
01:49:21.460 Want to
01:49:21.680 Live there
01:49:22.160 It's a
01:49:23.620 Single
01:49:23.940 Guy
01:49:24.400 And really
01:49:26.600 Just didn't
01:49:27.160 Want the
01:49:27.500 Upkeep of
01:49:27.940 The house
01:49:28.460 Yard and
01:49:30.580 Stuff like
01:49:30.980 That
01:49:31.340 And we
01:49:34.100 Have really
01:49:35.120 Planted our
01:49:35.860 Flag I guess
01:49:36.760 Here in
01:49:37.220 Central Virginia
01:49:37.820 I just
01:49:38.200 Love where
01:49:38.500 I live
01:49:39.020 And so
01:49:40.080 I didn't
01:49:40.300 Really have
01:49:40.660 Any desire
01:49:41.280 To go
01:49:42.780 There
01:49:43.160 And especially
01:49:44.940 Given that
01:49:45.940 Two years
01:49:47.060 Ago we
01:49:47.500 Got a
01:49:48.020 Really great
01:49:49.020 Guy as
01:49:49.720 Governor
01:49:50.040 Glenn
01:49:50.420 Youngkin
01:49:50.800 Great
01:49:51.600 Great
01:49:51.860 Governor
01:49:52.220 And an
01:49:52.820 Amazing
01:49:53.300 Lieutenant
01:49:53.760 Governor
01:49:54.160 Winsome
01:49:54.620 Sears
01:49:54.960 And a
01:49:55.220 Great
01:49:55.400 Attorney
01:49:55.760 General
01:49:56.160 Jason
01:49:56.540 Meares
01:49:56.940 We only
01:49:57.260 Have
01:49:57.440 Three
01:49:57.680 Statewide
01:49:58.200 Offices
01:49:58.620 Here in
01:49:58.980 Virginia
01:49:59.340 But
01:50:01.260 When I
01:50:02.960 Went down
01:50:03.500 With my
01:50:03.900 Brother
01:50:04.240 In the
01:50:05.400 House
01:50:05.800 And we
01:50:06.620 Realized
01:50:07.220 My mom
01:50:07.940 Had all
01:50:08.240 Sorts of
01:50:08.560 Stuff left
01:50:09.240 And it
01:50:09.840 Was stuff
01:50:10.580 We didn't
01:50:10.940 Want
01:50:11.280 We just
01:50:12.680 Had to
01:50:12.840 Get rid
01:50:13.120 Of it
01:50:13.480 Tried to
01:50:14.560 Donate it
01:50:15.180 Are you
01:50:15.380 Going to
01:50:15.560 Sell it
01:50:16.080 It's just
01:50:16.800 A pain
01:50:17.260 It really
01:50:17.680 Is it
01:50:18.020 Just becomes
01:50:18.360 A pain
01:50:18.740 And there
01:50:19.000 Are a few
01:50:19.600 Things that
01:50:20.100 You want
01:50:20.400 And you
01:50:20.580 Take those
01:50:21.000 Things
01:50:21.240 They mean
01:50:21.620 Something
01:50:21.900 To you
01:50:22.200 And sometimes
01:50:22.580 People look
01:50:23.140 At them
01:50:23.280 And go
01:50:23.380 Man I
01:50:23.700 Don't
01:50:23.800 Know why
01:50:24.040 You want
01:50:24.380 That
01:50:24.780 Well
01:50:25.740 Because it
01:50:26.400 Means
01:50:26.580 Something to
01:50:27.060 Me
01:50:29.340 Heidi and I
01:50:29.720 Look at all
01:50:30.120 Of our
01:50:30.420 Stuff
01:50:30.700 We keep
01:50:31.100 Thinking to
01:50:31.520 Ourselves
01:50:31.940 Boy we
01:50:32.780 Gotta
01:50:32.960 We gotta
01:50:33.760 Declutter
01:50:34.340 Man we
01:50:34.720 Gotta get
01:50:35.020 Rid of
01:50:35.280 Some of
01:50:35.540 This
01:50:35.660 Stuff
01:50:35.940 So the
01:50:36.920 Last thing
01:50:37.400 We need
01:50:37.840 Is more
01:50:38.160 Stuff
01:50:38.560 And my
01:50:40.220 Boys are
01:50:40.720 At an
01:50:41.000 Age
01:50:41.460 Youngest
01:50:42.900 Guy is
01:50:43.260 18
01:50:43.620 The
01:50:43.800 Oldest
01:50:44.080 Guy is
01:50:44.360 22
01:50:44.800 Well guess
01:50:46.420 What
01:50:46.780 They don't
01:50:48.340 Want what
01:50:48.640 They used
01:50:48.980 To want
01:50:49.380 It just
01:50:49.800 Used to
01:50:50.160 Be so
01:50:50.600 Easy
01:50:51.400 Toy
01:50:52.780 Trains
01:50:53.220 Toy
01:50:53.480 Trucks
01:50:53.840 Boom
01:50:54.160 We were
01:50:54.620 Done
01:50:54.880 Call it
01:50:55.320 A day
01:50:55.720 Let's
01:50:56.100 Go grab
01:50:56.760 A sandwich
01:50:57.260 Well the
01:50:59.740 One is
01:51:00.100 Getting ready
01:51:00.540 To finish
01:51:02.000 Up his
01:51:02.320 Time at
01:51:02.760 Stanford
01:51:03.140 University
01:51:03.860 The
01:51:04.180 Little
01:51:05.160 Guy is
01:51:05.900 Getting ready
01:51:06.920 To begin
01:51:07.320 His second
01:51:08.140 Semester
01:51:09.180 At
01:51:10.300 Ithaca
01:51:10.960 College
01:51:11.560 They don't
01:51:13.120 Want toy
01:51:13.460 Trains
01:51:13.840 They don't
01:51:14.100 Want toy
01:51:14.440 Trucks
01:51:14.900 I don't
01:51:16.240 Know what
01:51:16.500 I don't
01:51:16.900 Know what
01:51:17.880 They want
01:51:18.380 And then
01:51:21.200 For Heidi
01:51:21.600 And myself
01:51:22.100 We have
01:51:22.860 Gotten to
01:51:23.300 This stage
01:51:23.800 Where we
01:51:23.980 Say you
01:51:24.160 Know what
01:51:24.400 We want
01:51:24.860 Really
01:51:25.280 We want
01:51:25.660 Experiences
01:51:26.760 We want
01:51:27.680 To do
01:51:28.280 Something
01:51:28.840 We want
01:51:31.120 To invest
01:51:31.560 In ourselves
01:51:32.000 And so
01:51:32.280 That's what
01:51:32.560 I started
01:51:32.980 Doing
01:51:33.300 A couple
01:51:33.880 Of years
01:51:34.220 Back
01:51:34.660 Heidi
01:51:36.300 Would say
01:51:36.620 Okay so
01:51:36.980 What do
01:51:37.160 You want
01:51:37.780 For
01:51:38.340 Hanukkah
01:51:39.040 What do
01:51:39.300 You want
01:51:39.620 For Christmas
01:51:40.300 What do
01:51:40.580 You want
01:51:40.780 For your
01:51:41.060 Birthday
01:51:41.480 I said
01:51:42.980 I don't
01:51:43.280 Know
01:51:43.520 Well why
01:51:46.500 Don't you
01:51:46.700 Just buy
01:51:47.080 Yourself
01:51:47.420 Something
01:51:47.780 And then
01:51:48.220 Sign your
01:51:49.140 Name to
01:51:49.620 It
01:51:49.860 Or sign
01:51:50.200 My name
01:51:50.620 To it
01:51:50.960 And then
01:51:51.160 I'll
01:51:51.360 Act
01:51:51.580 I'll
01:51:52.080 Be all
01:51:52.360 Surprised
01:51:52.760 When you
01:51:53.020 Open it
01:51:53.440 And we'll
01:51:53.820 Have a
01:51:54.380 Okay yeah
01:51:55.660 Maybe we'll
01:51:56.020 Do that
01:51:56.400 So
01:51:58.540 I said
01:51:59.860 I'm going to
01:52:00.100 Invest in
01:52:00.560 Myself
01:52:00.880 And I
01:52:01.120 Just started
01:52:02.180 Taking more
01:52:03.560 And more
01:52:04.000 And more
01:52:04.380 Courses
01:52:05.260 Because that's
01:52:06.440 Investing in
01:52:07.080 Yourself
01:52:07.400 You're expanding
01:52:08.040 Your knowledge
01:52:08.620 You're expanding
01:52:09.240 Your intellect
01:52:09.980 You're learning
01:52:11.040 You're learning
01:52:11.060 Things here
01:52:11.620 And there
01:52:11.960 You know
01:52:12.300 That's not
01:52:12.680 A bad
01:52:13.080 Thing
01:52:13.480 I said
01:52:16.680 This year
01:52:17.620 I'm doing
01:52:18.980 A couple
01:52:19.320 Of things
01:52:19.760 I signed
01:52:22.200 Up for
01:52:22.860 A course
01:52:24.660 That Dr.
01:52:25.260 Jordan
01:52:25.540 Peterson
01:52:26.000 Offers
01:52:26.760 Online
01:52:27.220 Now I
01:52:28.400 Don't know
01:52:28.540 If you
01:52:28.780 Follow
01:52:29.580 Jordan
01:52:30.600 Peterson
01:52:30.960 At all
01:52:31.340 If you
01:52:32.840 Don't
01:52:33.120 You should
01:52:33.540 Thoroughly
01:52:36.120 Thoroughly
01:52:36.760 Brilliant
01:52:37.460 Individual
01:52:38.620 Who
01:52:40.320 Will
01:52:40.740 Tell you
01:52:41.400 What the
01:52:42.100 Truth is
01:52:42.580 And that's
01:52:43.180 What got
01:52:43.420 Him in
01:52:43.620 Trouble
01:52:43.860 If you
01:52:45.120 Don't know
01:52:45.400 Dr.
01:52:45.780 Peterson's
01:52:46.240 Story
01:52:46.480 He is
01:52:46.980 A distinguished
01:52:48.200 Psychologist
01:52:49.260 Was a
01:52:49.740 Well respected
01:52:50.660 Professor
01:52:51.840 Of psychology
01:52:52.940 And then a
01:52:54.120 Couple of
01:52:54.420 Years back
01:52:54.840 He said
01:52:55.140 Hey
01:52:55.380 I'm not
01:52:56.520 Going along
01:52:57.080 With this
01:52:57.500 Whole
01:52:57.880 Oh you're
01:52:58.500 A boy
01:52:58.860 Today
01:52:59.260 But you're
01:52:59.660 A girl
01:53:00.000 Tomorrow
01:53:00.480 And you're
01:53:01.580 A vacuum
01:53:02.040 Cleaner
01:53:02.620 Or an
01:53:03.420 Office
01:53:03.720 Chair
01:53:04.100 The next
01:53:04.480 Day
01:53:04.620 I'm
01:53:04.760 Just not
01:53:05.040 Doing
01:53:05.220 That
01:53:05.520 Well
01:53:06.680 The
01:53:07.420 Woke
01:53:07.900 Folk
01:53:08.340 Got
01:53:08.600 All
01:53:09.340 Upset
01:53:09.980 Oh my
01:53:10.640 Gosh
01:53:11.260 They
01:53:11.440 Wanted
01:53:11.760 His
01:53:11.920 Head
01:53:12.080 On
01:53:12.200 A
01:53:12.280 Platter
01:53:12.580 And the
01:53:14.160 University
01:53:14.560 Of Toronto
01:53:15.180 Where he
01:53:15.740 Taught
01:53:16.060 Apparently
01:53:16.500 Was
01:53:16.780 Willing
01:53:17.500 To
01:53:17.600 Go
01:53:17.760 Along
01:53:18.240 And the
01:53:18.560 College
01:53:19.340 Of
01:53:19.560 Psychologists
01:53:20.440 In
01:53:20.720 Ontario
01:53:21.760 Went
01:53:22.240 Along
01:53:22.620 And said
01:53:22.820 Oh you
01:53:23.320 You gotta
01:53:23.840 Go and
01:53:24.540 Get some
01:53:25.140 Additional
01:53:25.540 Training
01:53:26.340 Training
01:53:28.780 Huh
01:53:29.440 Didn't
01:53:30.340 The Soviets
01:53:30.920 And
01:53:31.500 The
01:53:32.240 Communists
01:53:34.460 In
01:53:34.640 China
01:53:34.900 Don't
01:53:35.100 They
01:53:35.240 Call that
01:53:35.500 Re-education
01:53:36.400 Because
01:53:36.660 It's
01:53:36.860 The
01:53:37.000 Same
01:53:37.200 Dog
01:53:37.460 On
01:53:37.640 Thing
01:53:37.920 Isn't
01:53:38.180 It
01:53:38.380 Yeah
01:53:39.220 You gotta
01:53:39.600 Go get
01:53:39.980 Re-educated
01:53:41.000 Dr.
01:53:41.720 Peterson
01:53:42.080 Oh and
01:53:43.480 You gotta
01:53:43.700 Pay for
01:53:44.240 It too
01:53:44.680 And
01:53:46.820 Dr.
01:53:47.460 Peterson
01:53:47.660 I'm
01:53:48.020 Paraphrasing
01:53:48.800 Here
01:53:49.060 But he
01:53:49.320 Essentially
01:53:49.680 Said
01:53:49.980 Yeah
01:53:50.140 You can
01:53:50.380 Go
