Glenn Beck is back in Colorado, and Jeff Katz is sitting in for him. They talk about the craziness that was the Democratic National Convention in Denver, and the weird things they did to the trash cans at the dumpster. Plus, a special gift for your dog.
00:02:09.720I followed these guys from the arena as they took all the bins and they dumped them into one giant bin, which they then dumped into a trash truck, which then drove out to the landfill where everything was just tipped out of the truck.
00:04:21.180But then sort of kind of behind the scenes, somebody had to be laughing, right?
00:04:26.820Because somebody had to manufacture all of the so-called recycling bins and all of the labels and all of the people who were employed doing that.
00:04:35.720Don't you think somebody behind the scenes was going, God, these folks are idiots.
00:04:43.120So he's got a plate, which we think is styrofoam, but we're not entirely sure.
00:04:47.660He has silverware that's actually, you know, plastic.
00:04:50.880He's got a napkin that's that's paper and then he has some sort of soy infused tofu piece of garbage that was a meal that also needs to be thrown out.
00:05:02.360And people would just take it all separately.
00:05:04.700And then behind the scenes where I was, because you have to remember.
00:05:10.720They knew who you were when you were on that little radio row.
00:07:39.400So Donald Trump wasn't ever going to win Colorado, but by doing this, a couple of things have happened.
00:07:49.460Number one, as the left often does, they've projected on others what they themselves are doing.
00:07:58.820They keep telling us that Donald Trump and people who support Donald Trump and those of us who, I don't know, went to a casino named Trump, that we are all responsible for these threats against liberty and justice and the American way.
00:08:23.260However, once this case winds up in front of the Supreme Court of the United States, what do you think is going to happen?
00:08:30.920Now, if the Supremes hold true to, well, upholding, defending, supporting, understanding the Constitution, it should be a nine to nothing vote that says, no, you can't do that.
00:08:43.340Could there be one or two U.S. Supreme Court justices who put their personal politics in front of the Constitution?
00:08:59.040But it's going to be tough if we have a member of the Supreme Court who's a woman who can't tell you what a woman is, if she can then decide what is or is not constitutional.
00:12:44.460Since the day the modern state of Israel was started in 1948, presidents, Republican presidents, Democrats said, well, we'll move the embassy.
00:12:53.880So we just we can't do it now because it's you know, it's it's a day that ends in Y.
00:12:59.360But once we get past that, man, we're all on board.
00:13:01.780And they dithered and they lied to us.
00:13:06.140And then Donald Trump gets there and he says, hey, we got to move the embassy.
00:13:54.340Now, I'm going to share with you in just a moment the cheering, the absolute cheerleading that the members of the legacy news media ranks are engaged in right now as Colorado takes this unprecedented step.
00:14:21.000Always happy to have you, 888-727-BECK, 888-727-BECK.
00:14:29.500I do ask you to hang out with me on social media.
00:14:31.860Follow Jeff Katz Show over on X, formerly known as Twitter, Jeff Katz Show on X, formerly known as Twitter, and The Jeff Katz Show on Facebook, The Jeff Katz Show.
00:14:50.280When she found out she was pregnant, she wasn't sure where to turn.
00:14:52.960But after meeting with the counselors at a pre-born network clinic who loved and supported her, and after hearing her baby's heartbeat on a free ultrasound, she chose life.
00:15:02.840When a mother looks at her child through a sonogram, it does something to you.
00:15:07.440You know, I ended up deciding to keep my son.
00:16:21.500Now, I don't know who those other three justices in Colorado were.
00:16:25.660It's a 200-page decision filled with legalese and here are two fours and where are two fours and those two fours and two by fours and all the rest of this stuff.
00:16:34.480But it says we've decided you can't vote for this guy.
00:17:01.360Well, the former president did not waste any time fundraising off of this ruling.
00:17:07.500His campaign sent out emails immediately trying to fundraise, accusing Democrats of trying to keep Trump off the ballot because he will beat President Biden.
00:17:16.360So let's start our coverage with CNN's Marshall Cohen.
00:17:26.840This is a historic level of accountability for January 6th and for Donald Trump's actions on January 6th.
00:17:34.040Now, as you mentioned, this is probably not the final word because Donald Trump will appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
00:17:40.200But for this moment in time, this is a huge dose of accountability and a punishment for January 6th.
00:17:48.040The Colorado Supreme Court in a four to three decision ruling that Donald Trump engaged in the insurrection, that the insurrectionist ban in the 14th Amendment applies to the presidency, and that he is ineligible to hold any future office.
00:18:03.880That's the finding from the majority opinion.
00:19:09.040I promise you, I would not ask the former president to tell my sons about dating history or personal relationships or how to put together tweets.
00:20:48.020Well, because I grew up in Philadelphia, and Joe Biden has pretty much been in public life, public office since I was a child, and I've watched it.
00:20:59.000Because he was in Delaware, which is, you know, kind of like the attic for Philadelphia.
00:21:08.680I look at Biden and his gang of grifters that he's moved into the White House, and I think, good Lord, why are we not just referring to them as La Josa Nostra?
00:21:17.180And Trump, well, I'm willing to give him a chance again.
00:21:22.680I'd like this country to be great again.

00:24:05.560If you are thinking you got to go set up a GoFundMe for the president of Harvard University, I'm here to tell you she's going to be just fine.
00:24:12.660However, if your son or daughter engaged in that sort of nonsense, well, now they're going to have problems.
00:26:19.000And I sat there and I thought, oh, so what you're saying is, if I can just sort of spitball it for those of us who are not Harvard graduates,
00:26:26.260if the people were standing there saying we want to slaughter all of the Jews at Harvard,
00:26:35.020You'd have to see some sort of action.
00:26:36.920If they actually began slaughtering the Jews at Harvard, would that be enough of an action, do you think?
00:26:42.540Would that initiate any sort of administrative process where somebody got an angry email that may or may not have gone on their permanent record?
00:28:46.700The 14th Amendment exists for a reason.
00:28:48.420And the 14th Amendment says that someone who is an officer of the United States and who has taken an oath and who then engages in insurrection can't hold office as an officer of the United States.
00:28:59.700And these kinds of cases have been brought with regard to Donald Trump in many states all over the country.
00:29:05.420And up until now, every state has dismissed these cases on procedural grounds.
00:29:09.920They've said the Republican Party has a lot of leeway to decide who its nominee is.
00:29:14.900And so we're not going to inject ourselves at this moment.
00:29:17.380But Colorado is the first state where they found both that now the Supreme Court has found that he is an officer of the United States.
00:29:23.800The presidency is an office of the United States.
00:29:25.980And that he engaged in insurrection and therefore, under the 14th Amendment, he's disqualified.
00:30:00.100Because for the life of me, I can't find it.
00:30:04.940I know enough to know this is a legal term and that's a legal term and that word is defined this way.
00:30:10.840And for the life of me, I can't find this insurrection.
00:30:14.660Believe me, when I tell you, had there been an insurrection, I would be one of the first to say, oh, my God, no.
00:30:20.880If the President of the United States was inviting people to overthrow the government, of course not.
00:30:26.360But all this talk about the 14th Amendment forced me to actually go back and read the 14th Amendment.
00:30:35.120How many of us have done that, by the way?
00:30:38.060How many of us have gone back and actually spent a few minutes, actually read some of the founding documents, read not just the Federalist Papers, but the Anti-Federalist Papers?
00:30:50.360I can remember being in Dallas last year and I was actually in Dallas because I was getting my certification with the Ziegler organization as a Ziegler Legacy Certified Coach.
00:31:08.720To me, one of the highlights of my life is I've always embraced Zig Ziegler and what he stood for and what he talked about and how he inspired people and how he motivated people.
00:31:20.360Now, some of it has a business angle, I know, but so much of it was just grounded in this idea that we're all people.
00:31:30.020I don't know how you define yourself, but number one for me is always child of God.
00:31:34.660And I think that's the same for everybody.
00:31:36.280I don't start with political affiliation.
00:31:37.780But anyway, so I'm in Dallas last year.
00:31:42.120And I reached out to Glenn and said, hey, I'm in town.
00:31:49.260I went over, spent a few minutes, but then I went through the museum and I thought, good Lord, every single American needs to come through this museum.
00:32:00.620Every American, if they have the opportunity, needs to go through the museum and see and read and appreciate what's come before us.
00:32:18.420If you go back and read this pesky 14th Amendment that I've now been forced to relearn as a layman.
00:32:26.880You realize, oh, my gosh, it's it's set up for the Confederates.
00:32:34.320And if you're going to say former President Trump is now stripped from his opportunity to be on the ballot in Colorado because of this so-called insurrection.
00:32:43.340Well, by God, you've got to define insurrection and you've got to show me where it happened and when it happened.
00:36:23.880As I take a look at the Middle East, and we all have to look at the Middle East, and I know I've had some friends say, well, you know, Jeff, excuse me, it's a Jewish thing, right?
00:37:00.200Again, words are supposed to have meanings, and I know as we're getting ready to head into 2024, the reality is that for some, words are sort of, they're defungible, right?
00:37:14.640Well, you could be a boy on Monday and a girl on Wednesday and a, I don't know, a coffee mug on Thursday and draperies on Friday.
00:37:22.840Whatever you want, you just be whatever you want, and you get to pick your own pronouns.
00:37:26.480All right, well, go ahead and knock yourself out.
00:43:42.100So a couple of years back, I received a note in care of the radio station that I'm at every single day of the week, News Radio WRVA in Central Virginia.
00:43:53.240And it was from a high school student who said, hey, Jeff, I think he said, dear Jeff, dear Jeff, my dad and I listen to your show every afternoon.
00:44:01.980And we've heard you talking about your princess.
00:44:03.860It's my daughter, Julia, and she has special needs.
00:44:06.620And we've heard you talking about her.
00:44:09.640And I just want to tell you about my sister, Emily.
00:44:12.740And by the way, I've written a book, and you should have me on your program to talk about it.
00:44:20.560And I said, yeah, you've got to come on.
00:44:22.540And that was the beginning of what I would dare say is a beautiful relationship between the Katz family and the Morrissey family.
00:44:29.660And my friend P.J. Morrissey is joining us to talk a little bit about the adventure that he and his family have had with his beautiful sister, Emily, and the bracelets that she makes.
00:45:17.580Well, Jeff, when you say it's been an adventure, it certainly has.
00:45:22.900My sister, Emily, is 25, and she was born with cerebral palsy as a result of oxygen deprivation at birth.
00:45:34.380And cerebral palsy is different for everybody that has it.
00:45:38.240But for Emily, it results in global delays, in particular her gross and fine motor skills, cognitive skills, and her speech.
00:45:47.860Despite her deficits and challenges, though, Jeff, Emily is more fortunate than all of us because she's a way of looking at things that not everybody else has.
00:45:59.780And she can see the innate good in people and not judge them before even getting to know them.
00:46:05.280And her smile, you know her smile, Jeff.
00:46:10.200Her smile is absolutely infectious because it's genuine, and she's reflecting back at you the good that she sees in you through her smile.
00:46:21.200Emily had been in a program in high school where it was four years of education and four years of job placement.
00:46:31.340And that last four years, you know, you could kind of tell the teachers got a little bit complacent, like you were talking about before.
00:46:41.620Emily wasn't liking her job placement.
00:47:30.420I am today wearing a selection of bracelets from Emily at Emily's bracelets dot com.
00:47:36.640I've I've got, as I always do, my thin blue line bracelet as as a former police officer.
00:47:41.780I've got my I stand with Israel bracelet, my I'm Israel high bracelet and let everybody know about the website.
00:47:51.660And you talk about the challenges and you talk about her her skills, her fine motor skills.
00:47:56.920I mean, it's amazing to me when I look at these bracelets and the story behind them.
00:48:01.860It's just man, it just puts a smile on my face.
00:48:06.260Yeah, Jeff, it's truly an inspiring story.
00:48:09.420Um, we've been lucky enough to be doing this for five years now.
00:48:13.600And, um, when it started and it took off, it really gave Emily a purpose.
00:48:19.020Um, she used to be painfully shy to the extent that she was diagnosed with selective mutism and getting her to talk to anyone outside of our family was extremely difficult.
00:48:29.980Uh, but shortly after we launched the business, her teachers and her therapist noticed a much larger sense of confidence.
00:48:35.980Um, she started standing up straighter and talking to more people.
00:48:40.340And, um, that's, uh, through that sense of pride that she has, uh, from making these bracelets and seeing people buy them and, uh, wear them, uh, just really makes her happy.
00:48:52.880And, um, she, it, that sense of purpose is something that everybody, um, wants to have.
00:49:02.200And, uh, that's what we're doing with Emily's bracelets.
00:49:05.600Well, I'm going to remind everybody, PJ Morrissey is joining me.
00:49:59.480And you, you, you mentioned that, uh, just a few years back, uh, people were saying, oh, well, she, with the selective mutism, she's, she's not going to talk to anybody.
00:50:27.720I mean, she is totally, uh, a local celebrity and, um, something to add to that.
00:50:34.020Uh, we, we had a house fire back on mother's day of this year and, um, we lost our home and belongings and Emily's supply and inventory.
00:50:43.680And, um, um, you would think, uh, you know, that that would waver that sense of pride and, uh, sense of, uh, like you said, fame.
00:50:53.620But, um, if anything, it's made her stronger.
00:50:57.160It's made us stronger, um, as a family.
00:51:00.720And, uh, it's allowed us to come to know the innate goodness and kind hearts of those in our community.
00:51:07.500And, um, you know, we can't thank people like you and your listeners enough for, um, all the help you've offered us and everything that you've done for Emily.
00:51:17.300Um, we, we, we're just about 25 bracelets from, uh, selling 25 bracelets away from selling over 25,000 bracelets since the launch of Emily's bracelets.
00:51:29.220And, um, she's donated well over $15,000 to, um, a handful of charities, including the Special Olympics.
00:51:39.120This is the beautiful part of this, PJ, in addition to everything else.
00:51:42.820And, and, and, and everybody needs to understand this, that, uh, Emily does this so that she has something to do.
00:51:49.800You and, and your mom and your dad, such an incredible family.
00:51:53.340And, and we in the Cats is just stand in awe of the Morrissey's.
00:51:57.520We really do what you've done to, uh, to wrap Emily in this, uh, this sense, not only of loving, which is to be expected, but this, this purpose to, to, to give her a job every single day that she can take pride in, where she can share smiles around the country.
00:52:22.420And then the money you're taking money and giving it back to Special Olympics.
00:52:25.920And, uh, there's a Police Survivor Benefit Fund that, uh, Emily takes money from the Thin Blue Line bracelets.
00:52:32.640There's the Friendship Circle, which is a great organization, helping pair, uh, the folks with some special needs and, and typically developing folks.
00:53:20.660So, um, our holiday bracelets have sold very, very quickly this season, but we do have, uh, a handful left.
00:53:27.860Uh, of course, Emily also offers her first responders collection, her awareness collection, uh, wooden bracelet collection, as well as a glass, uh, bracelet collection.
00:53:37.560And then of course the classics, um, and all of that can be found at emilysbracelets.com.
00:53:43.080And then we're also on all social media, uh, at emilysbracelets.
00:55:43.140And it's why I'm really proud to partner with them.

00:58:44.640And Heidi and I have talked about it and done everything to bang our heads against the wall and figure this out.
00:58:52.300And that's what every parent of every special needs kid, certainly around the United States, thinks about.
00:59:03.920So, the Morrissey family, Dan and Kristen or Emily and PJ's mom and dad, they said, okay, well, Emily's not really liking these job things.
01:05:06.740It's a bizarre thing to say, but it is, well, it's the thought of some.
01:05:11.240And what is so disturbing right now for me is to see thousands of people around the world stand up and say things like, well, we should gas the Jews.
01:05:26.840How come Hitler didn't finish the job?
01:05:28.540And you'd like to think, my God, this sort of hatred, this sort of ugliness, this sort of depravity went away.
01:05:39.720We're not even a hundred years out from the Holocaust.
01:05:46.360And we are poised right now to see a repeat.
01:05:50.600But I mentioned to you that I'm here in central Virginia, right in the Richmond area, NewsRadio WRVA.
01:06:00.980We have an amazing Holocaust museum here.
01:06:05.940And Richmond's not, it's not New York, it's not L.A., it's not Washington, D.C.
01:06:10.180But to think that in Richmond, Virginia, there is this museum that educates people, that allows people to understand what really happened.
01:06:29.620Now, I don't know if your travels are ever going to take you through Richmond, and that's okay.
01:06:33.480But I would ask you, if they do, you can't go looking at the monuments anymore on Monument Avenue,
01:06:42.660because in the interest of full inclusion, we've torn them down, and they're sitting at the wastewater treatment facility.
01:06:49.000I mean, that's another story for another day.
01:06:51.260Although, right up the road in D.C., Arlington National Cemetery, there's this reconciliation monument.
01:06:57.420And it was created by one of America's great Jewish artists, Moses Ezekiel.
01:07:03.480And the United States Army is now saying they're going to tear that monument down from its perch in Arlington National Cemetery.
01:07:13.560There's a court order in place now prohibiting that, postponing it anyway.
01:07:44.320And those same people, because they've been raised in this critical theory nonsense, they really believe the world's divided into two groups, the oppressed and the oppressors.
01:09:23.420They could go out and, my gosh, if they were industrious enough or brave enough, they could try and start their own company, their own factory.
01:10:50.240Think about two little boys who are friends, six, seven years old.
01:10:57.660They play together, been to each other's house, swap pieces of their lunch because the one kid doesn't really like cheese sandwiches as much as his parents think he does.
01:11:10.740And then somebody comes along and says, hey, you two, yeah, you know, you're never going to accomplish anything.
01:11:45.780And part of the reason he doesn't think he's oppressed is because he's not oppressed.
01:11:49.800And then you turn to the other six-year-old guy and go, hey, you know, you're only able to accomplish anything because that guy over there is oppressed and you're the oppressor.
01:12:01.700And he doesn't have any better clue of what the hell you're talking about than the first kid did.
01:12:15.440And so we're seeing that in the least now.
01:12:16.900So this generation, I guess two generations now raised with that critical theory underpinning, they now say you have to be in one of these two groups.
01:12:26.000You're either the oppressed or you're the oppressor.
01:12:28.880And they have said somehow, some way, that Israel is the oppressor.
01:12:35.020And we're seeing this play out on the college campuses where we would have thought, my God, it is Harvard University.
01:14:27.940And despite David, who sent me the note that said Jews are evil, period, there are a few of us that would probably disagree with that, right?
