Glenn and Stu are back with a brand new episode of the Glenn Beck Program! Glenn is joined by his good friend Stu to talk about the latest in the latest Democratic primary field, the latest on Tim Walz, and much more!
01:07:26.600We just had Cheryl Atkinson in studio, and I found it interesting that she said, you know, she hadn't really done her thorough work on walls yet.
01:07:37.820Now, she's not political, a political reporter like we are.
01:07:40.820She has to cover, you know, a little bit of everything.
01:07:42.820And she has been, you know, deep in this medical community stuff.
01:07:50.740But how many, I mean, this is a really well-informed person.
01:07:54.040How many people really don't know who this guy is?
01:07:58.440On Wednesday, we're going to be doing a full-on expose of the Harris-Waltz ticket.
01:08:07.600The most radical presidential ticket in U.S. history by far.
01:08:16.080But as a fringe third party or something, the thing that they are really for is the completion of the fundamental transformation of America.
01:08:33.120When she ran in 2020, there wasn't a single delegate that was for her.
01:09:03.120During the 2019 Democratic primary debate, she was for decriminalizing border crossings and providing illegals with taxpayer-funded health care.
01:09:17.580So if you think, I mean, I saw Walls say this weekend, well, you know, we're going to have to try to get a little more serious about the border.
01:09:23.660A little more serious about the, what are you talking about?
01:11:46.880Her step-daughter is pro-Palestinian Gaza.
01:11:52.340Her brother-in-law, Tony West, number three in the Obama DOJ.
01:12:05.800He was brought into the DOJ by Eric Holder.
01:12:09.440And he was brought in to be one of the lawyers for the Al Qaeda defendants at Gitmo.
01:12:13.520I mean, these guys, woo-wee, this is quite a family.
01:12:20.700Oh, by the way, her brother also was the defense lawyer, lawyer for John Walker Lynn, you know, the American Taliban from, from where is, where was it?
01:14:29.560He's a fabulous president, but we couldn't win.
01:14:31.700No, he hasn't been a fabulous president because he's not running things.
01:14:36.560He's incapable of understanding what's going on.
01:14:40.660So maybe you could even say, you know, a lot of his policies that, you know, we all came up with, we all worked on, you know, they happened under his watch and we really appreciate it.
01:14:51.920But he's too senile to run the United States of America.
01:20:35.800Age of 37, Christopher was killed in the line of duty while conducting a nighttime raid on a ship belonging to the Houthi forces in Yemen.
01:20:43.640The Tunnel to Towers Foundation immediately stepped up to the plate for Christopher's wife and young daughter, providing them with a mortgage-free home.
01:20:54.800They help America's heroes and their families.
01:20:56.880The Foundation offers the legacy of those who've made the ultimate sacrifice, who have been catastrophically injured while serving our country and our communities.
01:21:08.100They're also fighting homelessness among veterans by providing housing and assistance and services to those in need.
01:21:14.460They're committed to helping keep Americans keep their promise to never forget the events of 9-11 or the sacrifices made by those greatest heroes.
01:21:22.860You are what makes all of this possible.
01:22:26.760It's a bigger, these are bigger, longer term issues than a couple of people.
01:22:31.600But, like, because of the structure of this campaign, I mean, don't we have to spend a lot of time defining who Kamala Harris is?
01:22:39.140There's just not a lot of runway here before this election.
01:22:43.640Yeah, no, I know there's, what, 12 weeks now.
01:22:46.400I think that we do have to spend that time defining.
01:22:50.860But if you can add in, because it might sober some people up, gang, what's happening in England, what's happening in France, what's happening in Germany, what's happening in, you know, Sweden,
01:23:03.700they're saying the same thing we are, okay?
01:26:53.700It comes jam-packed with 33 varieties of filling and delicious foods.
01:26:59.320I'm talking about things like creamy chicken-flavored rice, old-fashioned Italian spaghetti, cheesy broccoli, cheesy broccoli soup, a whole bunch of stuff.
01:27:09.300And it comes with a bonus protein kit with diced beef, flavorful chicken, and three varieties of beans, plus nine different fruits, vegetables, and snacks, all in one emergency food kit, providing 2,500 calories every day.
01:27:23.700To keep you well-fed and ready for anything.
01:27:26.780The way I see it, it is my solemn duty as an American to protect my family without waiting for somebody to rescue us in handouts.
01:27:35.380That starts with food you can depend on for up to 25 years.
01:28:50.920Assassination attempt of Donald Trump.
01:28:52.540The guy that they just let in, they knew he was on the terror list, and they just let him in anyway, who was coordinating an assassination on Donald Trump.
01:29:02.100And then the third comes out of Massachusetts this weekend, where Kamala Harris was on stage someplace at an event, and the Secret Service and local police needed a bathroom.
01:29:14.240So they covered up somebody's private security on their business, and then picked the lock, went in, used their bathrooms, occupied the space for hours, and then closed back to the shop.
01:29:29.860Didn't lock it back up, but closed it.
01:29:33.000The lady came on Monday, and she's like, what the hell happened here?
01:29:43.940And I think if you or I were to engage in any sort of activity, that there would be criminal charges against us, at the very least, for some sort of trespass.
01:29:50.200But I think what these three elements that you're talking about expose, more than anything else, is what I'd like to dub the myth of competence that we all sort of have in our federal law enforcement agencies.
01:30:01.380Because in pop culture, TVs and movies, shows that you consume, the characters in those shows and movies, they're really sophisticated and really great at their job.
01:30:14.280And they're hunting down the criminals, and they're chasing them down the back alleys and slapping the handcuffs on, and then they just fade to black.
01:30:20.960But in reality, these agencies have now devolved into essentially DMVs with guns and badges.
01:30:28.740And that's why it comes to the Trump assassination attempt.
01:30:32.940You know, there's all these theories that are out there.
01:30:34.980And, you know, you can count me sort of in the clan of people that believe that incompetence was heavily involved in it.
01:30:40.840And I think that there's one sort of presupposition that has gone into that, that so many people have their questions about, and rightfully so.
01:30:47.480But we are presupposing that the Secret Service is always great at its job, and these failures are explained.
01:30:55.580And yes, I think that these failures are happening at every single event.
01:30:59.240And it's just because of the providential nature of us as a country, and then also because of the myth of competence that nobody's really tried and tested them, which is why going forward, I think there's probably a heightened risk to Donald Trump for any of these events that he's going to hold.
01:31:13.540But to pivot to the second issue with the FBI and investigating this assassination attempt, I think one of the most disturbing elements that hasn't been picked up on was when the deputy director of the FBI, Paula Bate, said that they were going to investigate it as domestic terrorism.
01:31:33.320And that to me is, to the layperson, seems reasonable.
01:31:36.560You don't want to have blinders on, but being a subject matter expert here, the FBI is now going to slap a classified label on this investigation, and they're not going to be able to be transparent because you don't have a need to know.
01:31:55.040And then the last thing that I definitely want to get to is this Pakistani national.
01:31:59.800Now, this is what I like to call the playbook that the FBI has been running the last two and a half decades, particularly since 9-11.
01:32:06.560Where essentially what they do to justify their existence as a bureaucracy, as a self-looking ice cream cone, they will identify a vulnerable person, an emotionally disturbed, maybe someone with radical intentions, but not capable of carrying forward an actual attack without the involvement of the FBI.
01:32:22.780They will identify them, use confidential human sources, use undercovers, and then groom them for as long as it takes to engage or at least agree to engage in an activity that can be labeled as terrorism, and then they will arrest them.
01:32:37.700And the added wrinkle here was that they imported this Pakistani through the border.
01:33:40.100This is an individual who was essentially indigent, didn't have the finances, and were led to believe from the FBI that he arrived here and then just happened.
01:33:49.400The first person that he had a conversation with was an informant for the government about soliciting hit men to carry forward not only assassinations,
01:33:57.520but he wanted dozens of people to have protests that were going to be covered while they did reconnaissance.
01:34:03.700He wanted to get people that were going to steal documents and thumb drives from government figures, and all for the low, low price of $5,000, which he didn't actually have.
01:34:14.040And he was doing things like asking the informant to put his phone in a drawer while they had conversations.
01:34:24.680These illusions of grandeur that he had, to me, indicate that he was a prime person that the FBI likes to target, the people who are vulnerable.
01:34:33.700And not for nothing, you know, let's just say he's a bad guy.
01:34:38.220What's to say that they don't import him here?
01:34:41.020And he just says, you know, this plot that I have doesn't sound like it's going to be achievable.
01:34:45.560I'll just grab a butcher knife and stab the next infidel that I see.
01:34:48.680And then the FBI should be on the hook for that.
01:34:50.420So this is them believing in their own competence that certainly nothing bad will happen while we have him on the hook for three months.
01:34:58.000We've been lucky that nothing worse has happened.
01:34:59.800But I think the bottom line is that the FBI is inventing these cases so that they can go to Congress and say, look, all the good work we have done here.
01:35:09.480Why don't you give us enhanced funding?
01:35:12.220Think of all the good work we could do like Lindsey Graham wants to do now.
01:35:15.660And that is giving the FBI backdoor access to encrypted communications.
01:35:20.660That way the FBI can circumvent the Fourth Amendment.
01:35:23.260I think the timetable works out to be that he was arrested on July 12th.
01:35:51.060The assassination 10th happened on the 13th, which to me certainly explains the messaging that we got about this Iranian threat because the FBI was really super concerned about someone who they groomed to engage in a terrorism, which never was going to happen and really didn't have their eye on the ball.
01:36:08.960And then we can get into the speculation about a character like Crooks, who, not for nothing, kind of strikes me as sitting squarely within the profile of someone who would be recruited and targeted for grooming to engage in something that he was not predisposed to do.
01:36:23.800And then maybe did the thing that I just talked about.
01:36:26.000But instead of grabbing the butcher knife and stabbing an infidel, grabbed his dad's AR and said, I'm going to take a shot at a candidate for office.
01:36:31.960So who is, I mean, who should pay for this?
01:36:40.240I saw that the, I think it was the fire chief of Butler County just resigned over this because of staging and everything else.
01:37:08.020There's going to be a lot of accountability, hot potato, as it comes to this assassination attempt, because you could see Kimberly Cheadle get up there and say, the buck stopped with me.
01:37:15.700But, you know, it was really local law enforcement's job.
01:37:18.660And just having been at both levels, you could easily see that roof being something where the locals said, hey, that should be covered.
01:37:24.920And the secret service said, OK, we'll cover it.
01:37:31.480And then meanwhile, it doesn't get covered at all.
01:37:33.700But I think ultimately, because the secret service is supposed to be the chief agency there who's calling the shots, it needs to be them who falls on this.
01:37:42.360And there needs to be an independent investigation, because I don't trust the FBI, and it's not just a personal animus.
01:37:48.360The FBI has a track record for investigating assassination attempts, like the 2017 congressional baseball shooting, where the shooter was a Bernie Sanders supporter, showed up at the ball field and asked where the Republicans were, and then proceeded to shoot Steve Scalise.
01:38:01.100And the FBI said that's not an assassination attempt.
01:38:05.280So there needs to be an independent investigation, maybe funded here, could be used in the congressional leverage here.
01:38:12.360It could also be a request from the Pennsylvania State Police, because I know there's a federal nexus here, but it was in their backyard.
01:38:21.060And I don't see any reason why they couldn't conduct a thorough investigation.
01:38:24.660I would trust them far more than the FBI, which is going to say this was domestic terrorism, perhaps, or perhaps we already had a domestic terrorism case open on Crooks.
01:38:33.100Either way, we can't talk about sources and methods.
01:38:45.820The woman in Massachusetts that had her business just taken over, without her permission, without her even being there and knowing it, they covered the camera.
01:38:56.420They broke in, picked the lock, and went in and spent hours in there just because, I guess, they could.
01:39:40.600But you cannot do that because it'll never stop.
01:39:43.500This is the natural downstream consequences of what we experienced in 2020 when we were said you had to stay home and stay safe and shut down your non-essential business that you use to feed your family and pay your mortgage.
01:39:55.180And this is the chilling effect that it has.
01:39:56.800And I shared your sentiment about the Third Amendment.
01:39:58.680It would be interesting to see an energetic attorney take that up.
01:40:01.640But the government does not respect your civil liberties, does not respect the Bill of Rights.
01:40:07.620And this is just another example of the fact that they are willing to impede on those just for their own convenience.
01:40:14.800I mean, how hard is it to find a bathroom?
01:42:26.380These are the times that future generations are going to study, hopefully as a guidebook and not a cautionary tale, but could go either way.
01:42:37.360The stories that we want told about us in the future, because history is being written by you every single day.
01:42:46.100In my new book, Chasing Embers, which is a dystopian novel for young adults and families, there's one character named Skye who's almost literally haunted by the story of William Tyndale.
01:43:01.360Skye's grown up in this dystopian post-truth society, and he thinks that's normal.
01:43:06.840And then he learns some history, and history that's been denied.
01:43:12.440And he reads about William Tyndale, who lived around the time of the Reformation.
01:43:16.540And he was determined to translate the Bible into English so people, the common people, could read it.
01:47:25.340Use the code FAUCIELIED and save 30 bucks.
01:47:28.080You know, I'm focusing more and more on the story of America.
01:47:46.980One, out of self-preservation, because I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to tell you these things should things go crazy.
01:47:53.160And who knows, maybe I won't be able to even tell stories, but stories of history and in new ways.
01:48:00.920And that's one of the reasons why I'm having the American Narratives in Fine Art show that is happening at the Mercury Studios in Dallas, Texas.
01:48:53.100But maybe you just go in and you teach your kids history.
01:48:56.380The artists all came through our museum, and then they picked an object or something that inspired them to tell a part of American history.
01:49:08.500It's an interesting thing you're doing here because I think, I mean, this is probably true with me more than most, but a lot of times conservatives get like locked into their Excel sheets and, you know, like to pitch, hey, our tax policy is better.
01:49:21.440And I do think that that's important, but it really is only a small slice of how people actually make decisions.
01:49:28.420And when you're talking about the way the country has changed, I mean, you don't lead with tax rates, right?
01:49:34.040You lead with the way the culture has changed.
01:49:36.700And so much of that goes through art and entertainment and culture.
01:49:41.640Yeah, and if we don't make an impact there, if we don't have anything to inspire us, you know, look at all the statues they took down, even of George Washington and Jefferson.
01:52:23.980And so, one of the pieces is where a bull has bucked off the rider and the clown, now he's turning the attention on the clown as he's running away.
01:52:38.940Yeah, and the clown has his hand on the forehead of the bull.
01:53:17.080He was a very famous black cowboy, made westerns for black theater back in the 20s and 30s.
01:53:26.540But he invented that because it's called bulldogging because his dog, he was a rancher, and his dog went up and bit a bull in the lip and pulled him down.
01:53:38.380And he said, that little teeny dog controlled that bull all the time.
01:59:02.040A Top 40 battle, except it's between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
01:59:06.260And I don't know the answer to this, but in radio, whoever had the bigger audience that was touching base with them over and over and over and over and over again,
01:59:17.500if it was way ahead in what's called Cume, if it was way ahead in that, it could steal whatever it wanted from the other station and frustrate the heck out of them.
01:59:29.960Because everyone would hear it first on the station that just stole it.
01:59:36.500And so, if you were the station that just stole it, all your audience is saying,
01:59:43.620my gosh, these guys over here, they're using that slogan after they hear it a few weeks later.
01:59:48.340They just, they were saying they stole that.
01:59:50.800Now, I don't know who controls the mass, but I have a feeling it's Kamala Harris.
01:59:57.140And she just stole no tips on waitresses.
