01:00:02.720 The one that made the most news just in the past 24 hours is the national poll by NBC of registered voters.
01:00:12.800 Well, both of those things need to be taken into account for understanding, well, what are we looking at?

01:00:21.660 Our elections aren't decided nationally.
01:00:25.000 They're decided electorally.
01:00:29.140 So, a national poll really doesn't mean much because you don't know where those voters are coming from.
01:00:36.400 There could be a concentration of people from Chicago, New York, and California, and that would throw the entire thing off.
01:00:44.040 It could even be as granular as cities and not enough rural voters.
01:00:48.620 So, that's why the national poll, you know, I'm skeptical of those.

01:00:57.000 That's, you need to really get down to someone who has voted in the last four elections to see who's likely to turn out.
01:01:07.700 Well, even that's a problem, Glenn, because there were a lot of voters missed in 2016, because in our book, The Great Revolt, there were these voters we call the paralistas.
01:01:21.560 They're sort of like, we named them after Ross Crow, because they only, they're like Haley's Comet.

01:01:29.060 And those people aren't picked up by pollsters, because if a pollster is trying to do a really good poll and find a likely voter, and they get them on the phone and say, hey, have you voted in the last two elections?

01:01:45.100 And so, there's, and they made up 6% of Trump's winning coalition in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
01:01:57.860 So, there, you know, I'm always sort of leery of them not being part of the universe.
01:02:06.540 And finally, between nationally, about 1.5% of Trump voters are shy Trump voters.
01:02:16.840 In other words, they don't tell a pollster that they're supporting him.

01:02:26.400 In Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, in our book, there's a poll in the back, a survey of just Trump voters.

01:03:41.480 And I interviewed several people there in the story who did not vote for Donald Trump in 2016 who are going to vote for him now.

01:07:13.000 Selena, tell me about what is happening in not only Pennsylvania, but do you have any look at the kind of confusion that we are expecting on the new rules that Democrats have put forth on voting?
01:07:30.580 Well, you know, obviously, I live in Pennsylvania.
01:07:36.000 We never had mail-in voting before in the state until June's primary.
01:07:43.360 We had absentee balloting, but it was like so restrictive and punishing to do it that only 4% of people did it on an average basis.
01:07:57.360 Now, in our primary in June, it was almost 50% of the people.
01:08:03.640 And while the process of doing it was not that bad in terms of getting your ballot and mailing it in, the problem became once the different county offices had your ballot.
01:08:19.360 They were completely unprepared.
01:08:21.200 I don't know why, because certainly there were, you know, our primary was delayed several months.
01:08:29.260 So the preparation should have been there.
01:08:31.880 Nonetheless, with the exception of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, almost every county went days, if not weeks, before the final results came in.
01:08:43.240 And, you know, that's Pennsylvania could be the decider.
01:08:47.320 I think it's between Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, to be honest.
01:08:52.040 And so across, you know, if we were in, like, weeks, like December before we know, that's a big problem.
01:09:00.340 People have a level of expectation that they do their job and go through all the hoops and loops to vote.
01:09:07.980 Why can't the government fulfill that same obligation?
01:09:12.040 I will tell you, Selena, I have to tell you, I think what the Democrats have done and what the media is currently doing, saying that not only is expecting a result on election night wrong, but it is dangerous.

01:09:36.920 This is everyone knows this is the most critical election in our lifetime, whether you're voting for Donald Trump or Joe Biden.

01:13:42.520 But the press twisted it into being nationalistic when it was more about aspiration, but it was also about localism, something they praise if you buy something at Whole Foods.
01:13:55.060 But if you hold localism as something as part of your ideal, all of a sudden you are a nationalist if you come from certain parts of the country.
