Glenn Beck talks about the latest Democratic primary debate, why Kamala Harris is so annoying, and why she should get a second chance at the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. He also talks about a new food option for your dog and cat, and gives his thoughts on the Democratic primary field.
01:26:35.000He was deployed to Iraq, where unfortunately he was killed in action at the age of only 26.
01:26:41.620Thanks to the support of people like you, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation provided a mortgage-free home to Mario's wife and daughter.
01:26:48.960Because they were going through dark enough times, having to think about how to keep a roof over their heads was not something that you would be comfortable with,
01:26:57.900or Tunnel to Towers was comfortable with.
01:26:59.900This is what Tunnel to Towers Foundation does.
01:27:03.740Honor the legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and caring for their family.
01:27:09.320Please, do good in honor of the heroes like Mario.
01:27:12.120Heroes who put their lives on the line for our country, our communities, and the freedoms we all have and enjoy.
01:27:18.480It's $11 a month is what they're asking you to donate.
01:28:58.680So what have you found on the ducks and the geese and everything else?
01:29:05.460Well, I can tell you that it is an issue that has been raised to the city for months, months before this got brought to the national attention last week into this week.
01:29:19.620You know, I can't speak to how widespread it is, but it's been enough of a problem that people have been saying, hey, you know, like, we've been seeing this.
01:29:33.160And from my understanding is, and not just with the duck issue, you know, the pet issue, but overall any issue that residents have been raising over the, you know, 20,000 Haitians being put into their city.
01:29:47.980A lot of the residents feel that the city commission is just not listening to their problems or they're unwilling to do anything about it because there is a lot of money being involved in the decisions because, you know, they're, these Haitians, they have jobs.
01:30:09.620I mean, and so that's why they're able to be here legally and they have a protective status.
01:30:32.240And that's one of the tension points with the, within the, the American citizens here is that everything seems to be revolved around accommodating the Haitians first and American citizens second.
01:30:46.140And that's why they're so upset at the city commission because the city commission appears that they want to make Springfield seem as accommodating as possible to the Haitian population, which includes not towing cars of unlicensed drivers.
01:31:01.260Surrounding communities are having to do that because, you know, admittedly, they're not very great drivers and it's caused, you know, some people have been killed.
01:31:11.580There have been accidents on the road, but, but Springfield in the past, it has just not been willing to tow their cars whenever there's been an accident or whether they've been caught driving recklessly.
01:31:22.720Um, and so that, that's one of the reasons why, uh, people no longer drive into Springfield to shop.
01:31:29.940I was in Tremont city, which is just five minutes to the North.
01:31:33.120They no longer go to the Kroger or the Walmart in Springfield.
01:31:36.120They go to the cities up North to do the shopping because they say even being on the road is too dangerous.
01:31:40.140Uh, I, I gotta believe that a town that small, I mean, uh, Kamala last night said it was a mid-sized town.
01:32:56.680And she said, I'm very worried about the women of this town because they're very aggressive towards women.
01:33:04.460Um, and it's, and, and, you know, that was just one person, but there, there's, there's a lot of, you know, outside, you know, yes, the, the pet issue is, is one thing, but even on the housing alone, what's been happening is that landlords have, you know, you say you have a family of four.
01:33:21.340They don't, the landlords don't renew their lease with them.
01:33:24.160And then they replace them with up to 15 Haitians.
01:33:34.620I've been told $200 a week for just the bed.
01:33:39.720And, and it was explained to me that the bed never gets cold because there's just a constant rotation of people that use it for those eight hours.
01:33:47.480Then they go to work and then they come back and it just starts all over again.
01:33:50.440So you put, you know, six, you know, you put, you know, you know, two sets of bunk beds in a room.
01:34:11.960When you have that many people crammed into one, you know, a two bedroom, one bedroom place, but you have 15 people inside, that's a fire hazard.
01:34:20.180But the city has refused to enforce the codes.
01:34:23.720Again, to try to accommodate the Haitians as much as possible.
01:34:26.880And American citizens who haven't been able to afford to leave, they've ended up homeless.
01:34:33.380There's, there's encampments that have spring up around, have sprung up around Springfield.
01:34:37.780And it's not because of just homeless people as like Los Angeles that are drugged out.
01:34:42.620It's, they can't afford anything else.
01:34:45.600I have to tell you, uh, if this were happening in my city and, uh, somebody came to enforce some sort of ordinance, uh, you know, I was building a house and they were like, you got to get a permit for this because we have to know for fire safety.
01:35:05.780I tell them, go to hell when you, when you decide to, uh, have everybody go along with your rules, then you can come see me.
01:35:17.040I mean, this is, this is, this is, uh, a, a, a national nuclear bomb that is about to go off.
01:35:27.220People are not going to tolerate this.
01:35:29.740You know, I heard a guy yesterday, he was a, um, uh, vet and he said he was in Chicago and he said, what is happening here?
01:36:05.520This is that you cannot push these cities to the brink like this.
01:36:10.240This is cloward in Piven and the result will be communism.
01:36:14.660If Kamala has her, uh, has her way, this is extraordinarily dangerous.
01:36:19.660What can be done to help Springfield Julio?
01:36:24.220Well, that's interesting because again, during the public, uh, comment section of the meeting last night, I would, I would actually say more people, uh, spoke in favor of just saying, well, the Haitians are here.
01:36:46.260It kind of appears that at least, you know, from, you know, there, there's a sizable amount of people who have just resigned themselves to, to this new reality.
01:36:56.000Um, and it doesn't seem like, and you know, obviously that's just one snapshot of, of the community.
01:37:02.360But it, but I also, I also think that people are afraid of speaking out on the issue because, because of the national attention and it just, because of the, the environment that we're in, they're, they're, they're afraid they're going to be called racist.
01:37:15.780They're afraid they're going to be called bigoted and all this stuff.
01:37:17.920And you know, it's a small town, right?
01:37:20.520And so I, I think that, I think that's part of the issue, but, but that in and of itself is, is a big problem because if you're not going to speak out about it, then the loudest voices are going to get their way.
01:44:02.860Because if you get into a situation where there's progress, and we've got to make progress, and these people are just holding us back from that progress.
01:45:45.300But we have got to get people out to vote.
01:45:49.080We've got to find our way to our neighbors, and the only way is not to preach at them, not to send them stuff from me.
01:45:59.300We have to find ways to approach people, and it's got to be through love.
01:46:04.780So, October 6th of this year, thousands of Christians are going to be praying for those who were impacted on October 7th of last year by the invasion and slaughter of Jews by Hamas and the war with Hamas and Hezbollah ever since.
01:46:23.240You know, why is it they're so concerned about Hezbollah and how they have to stop killing the innocents there?
01:46:33.040But they are a full-fledged war with many more deaths in Ukraine.
01:48:33.760They are burning churches in the UK, and in Ireland, they're taking them over and making them into mosques.
01:48:41.380The influx of Muslim immigrants over the past decade has caused some real tensions, and it's at a boiling point.
01:48:51.480The obsession with DEI and shutting down any dissident or dissent in Europe, it's barreling towards tyranny and a global government, and we are on the exact same path.
01:49:08.600Join me tonight at 9, warning, Europe's migrant crisis is coming to America.
01:50:37.060I wanted to give just my thoughts on last night, the good and the bad.
01:50:45.160For Trump, I'm going to start with the good.
01:50:47.860I think he did a good job of reminding people of Kamala Harris and Biden's failures.
01:50:55.880I liked what he said about inflation whenever he said, it may have gone up 21%, but you're seeing groceries, you know, the price of eggs or, you know, whatever, what have you, go up 50, 60, 70%.
01:51:09.800I think that was something that he did that really benefited him.
01:51:17.420And the fact that she was laughing when he said that and making faces, I thought was like spitting in the face of the people that are struggling to buy food right now.
01:51:31.400I think the lack of empathy that she had whenever he said that definitely was not a good look for her, especially since it was split screen and you see him being very stoic talking about it and then her reaction almost dismissing it.
01:51:49.760Um, I want to say he also had good one-liners.
01:51:54.420Um, I thought the mailing Kamala, uh, um, MAGA hat was an excellent line.
01:52:12.760So who won last night in your opinion?
01:52:15.760Um, so I think it was rather mixed because although Trump did have good one lines, the rants hurt him or like not having very coherent answers.
01:52:27.920And something I would have loved for him to say whenever he was asked about healthcare, I mean, that was a layup for him to say, you know, I've just recently teamed up with Bobby Kennedy.
01:52:39.940We are really concerned about the chronic health.
01:52:41.880And I mean, he almost essentially said he had no plan.
01:53:20.460I think that Kamala Harris, the laid bait for Trump to take.
01:53:25.520And I, and I think he took it too often.
01:53:27.800Um, I would like to leave my number just with your producers.
01:53:30.860And I would love the opportunity to talk with somebody from the Trump administration, uh, from the Trump campaign, just about how he could fix those missteps next time.
01:53:42.140Because I think it would be to his benefit if he did do another debate with a friendlier, uh, group of moderators.
01:53:49.900But did another debate and shored up those things because the rants and, uh, other like stuff like that, it gets him in trouble every time.
01:53:59.160Francis, I don't have, I don't have anybody I could give your number to, but we'll take it.
01:54:03.160And if I, I want to see him this weekend, um, but he doesn't take advice, you know, he listens to himself.
01:54:10.800Uh, there's lots of advisors, including us that have said in time and time again,
01:54:15.480two quick things on this, Glenn, number one, I don't care who the moderators are.
01:54:18.940If you can get another debate with her, take it, take it, you can get five more, take them.
01:54:22.120Uh, secondly, uh, another, I thought missed opportunity.
01:54:25.940Uh, he didn't mention the RFK junior thing at no point, you know, as the caller mentioned, like the health initiative would have been a time to do that.
01:54:32.960But like, uh, people aren't, people that aren't engaged don't even know the fact that they would hear that a candidate was voting for Donald Trump is something that actually could be meaningful to people.
01:56:52.980Why shouldn't Trump have a coherent answer or at least be so organized because he has millions of dollars being donated to have a website set up to point out all these falsehoods?
01:58:00.340Um, so I just wanted to say, um, so I, you know, I'm married, I have four kids.
01:58:06.560Um, and yesterday I was trying to watch like in and out of taking, um, our oldest son to a church activity.
01:58:12.820So I was kind of in and out of the debate all night.
01:58:15.880And I just noticed every time I, you know, could glance at it.
01:58:20.320I just noticed that, um, her face and her behaviors just came off as very like mean spirited.
01:58:27.300And it seemed like she thought this whole thing was a joke.
01:58:31.660Um, and so I really, I really believe that people will see that.
01:58:35.640Um, and even if they don't, you know, have time to watch the whole debate, it's pretty clear just, you know, looking at things.
01:58:42.340Um, and I also wanted to give you some hope because, um, all of my family is Hispanic and they used to be, a lot of them used to be totally, you know, against Trump, like the last election.
01:58:54.220Um, and so the hope I wanted to give you is that most of them have come around to wanting to vote for Trump.
01:59:02.060They're just tired of everything that's going on, all this inflation, the unemployment, you know, even the migrant situation.
01:59:09.980And they're pretty much out in the open about it now.
02:02:47.940And when he was calling it the Wuhan flu, you freaked out when he said we're going to close down, you know, any kind of flights from China coming into the United States.
02:03:37.640And that's what I keep hitting this moment of frustration as I analyze this stuff, which is just like, if the American people fall for this.
