00:00:24.700We've sometimes owned a home that was truly ours.
00:00:28.160That's why it's so disturbing to learn that criminals don't have to break a window or kick a door in to come after that dream.
00:00:33.560All it takes is publicly available information, a forged signature, and some paperwork filed in the right place.
00:00:39.060Suddenly, you find yourself trying to prove that that home that was yours, you bought and paid for it, you worked hard to build equity in, is actually yours.
00:00:47.340That's why I want you to know about Home Title Lock.
00:08:40.000Okay, now, imagine if they start finding votes.
00:08:46.760You're going to have all of these Al-Sayed people saying,
00:08:50.640wait a minute, there's cheating going on.
00:08:54.000Wait a minute, what do you mean you're counting this ballot?
00:08:56.500Wait a minute, we want a transparent counting of all those votes.
00:09:00.820Al-Sayed is going to start sounding like a Republican
00:09:05.280when it's turned against them in their own party.
00:09:09.380And honestly, who doesn't believe that the Democrats are capable of trying to sway this in a count at the end against Saeed to be able to keep him out?
00:12:09.060Bad for the Republic, but fun to watch.
00:12:10.900I wish I didn't like America because it would be fun to watch all of this.
00:12:15.880If you're an enemy of America or El Saeed, you would love watching all of the stuff that's happening to us because you watch across and you're like, I can't believe this is so stupid.
00:12:27.400I can't believe they're going to do it to themselves.
00:12:32.460Because, I mean, how are they going to react?
00:12:34.120You really think that the left who thinks that the Jews are all in it, that everything is a conspiracy against them, and they were on the inside, they know all the dirty tricks the Democrats do.
00:12:49.560They've seen how the Democratic machine just takes people out that they don't want to be the leader.
00:12:55.320Do you really think they're going to go away happily?
00:13:30.780I'm telling you, they're going to go January 6th on him.
00:13:33.340Oh, this is a bit, you know, and you deserve everything for the Democrat, not our average everyday Democrat that is just a good person that just believes in higher taxes than I do.
00:13:43.960I mean, all of the people who have been a part of this.
00:15:40.820Spokesman for the House Republican campaign arm of the National Republican Committee said of Lawrence's victory,
00:15:46.980Democrats' path to the House majority is evaporating in real time.
00:15:49.740Every embarrassing defeat leaves them with a radical socialist nominee, empty your bank account, and another must-win seat off the board.
00:15:55.940The establishment's left main opponent has been the democratic socialist, blah, blah, blah. Lawrence has the backing from Rashida Tlaib, blah, blah, blah. Also Bernie Sanders, yada, yada.
00:16:08.180And they go on to say that it was financed by, his opponent was financed, of course, by the Jews.
00:16:17.160So you have both stories saying that the Democrats, the Democrats, the ones who are not the socialists, are all funded by the Jews.
00:16:27.740so you have the base of the socialist are crazy communist socialist and that is the stock that
00:16:39.300is the real stock of all this anti-semitism that is coming out and the media is fine pushing it
00:16:45.120down everybody's throat all right now we take a quick 20 second uh one minute break and back
00:16:50.140for a couple of minutes to tell you some more things that are going on including
00:18:22.100So Kamala Harris is now saying, and I love this, Kamala Harris has made a slate of suggestions to help the Democrats win in the future presidential elections, including a suggestion that the party revisit the Electoral College.
00:18:41.880Now, remember, this is how do we win elections?
00:18:45.960Number one, change the Electoral College.
00:18:49.4602024 Democratic presidential candidates spoke to the National Urban League conference in Nashville on Friday.
00:18:55.320We should consider alternative methods.
00:19:00.240Democrats should consider alternative methods to avoid cheating accusations from Republicans.
00:19:07.060I know it's going to be controversial coming from me in particular, but we have to revisit the electoral college.
00:19:12.280We need which drew some claps from the crowd.
00:19:16.640We need to revisit the point of expanding the court to 13 justices,
00:23:24.300Anyway, it'll help you keep track of everything.
00:23:26.560Kids at the baseball game, hiking, hunting, just trying to stay connected with people you came with.
00:23:31.460Rapid Radio is also great because right out of the box, there's no complicated setup.
00:23:35.560There's no programming, no learning curve.
00:23:37.280You just turn them on, press the button, and talk, and everybody, every conversation does not have to be a phone call or a text with a very long thread.
00:23:45.860And especially if you're, like, in construction business or you're doing business, you know, security even, everybody is connected all at once.
00:26:04.920So it looks like 15,000 votes, and every Muslim I talk to there says they're voting for Sayyad.
00:26:11.280That's more than enough to make the difference.
00:26:13.740I just asked the nation, do you see what's happening here?
00:26:16.580So let me play this. This is from a cleric in Michigan. Listen to this, from a mosque.
00:26:23.580On the 4th of August, there is a very important election. And I see one of the mandatory things, one of our responsibility that to support brother Abdul Saeed.
00:26:40.080Abdul Sayyid, he's running for the Senate, and the other other candidate, they supporting Israel, they supporting the Zionists, and all the Muslims, all the believers, men and women, it is responsibility, it's mandatory to go and to elect Brother Abdul Sayyid, because at least we know he is a Muslim.
00:27:09.280he will support the muslim issues here in this country what do you make of that nate
00:27:17.500the muslim issues in this country it reminds me of when i went to the uk and i spoke to voters in
00:27:24.720birmingham muslim voters in birmingham they say we vote for muslim candidates because they'll
00:27:29.420represent us um and he told me that we're going to bring in muslims into the parliament so that
00:27:35.320they bring in sharia so american muslims are less transparent about that sort of thing but i instead
00:27:41.200i asked them would you support a ban on sharia and i haven't gotten a yes yet how much time you
00:27:46.940spent up there in michigan i spent a day in michigan yeah just one day and tell me tell me
00:27:53.220about some of the people that you've talked to up there you went into supermarkets yeah it's very
00:27:59.380closed. Right. So first conversation I had was with a man who owns a halal shop that says he
00:28:08.080wants the United States to be allied with Hezbollah. He was talking so nicely about Hezbollah. I said,
00:28:14.360look, do you want us to be allied with them? I said, hell yeah. So that was, that was pretty
00:28:18.780shocking because that's a terrorist organization that's killed Americans. Another conversation I
00:28:24.300had was with folks who said, no, it's got nothing to do with the fact that he's Muslim. I said,
00:28:28.320well, what about the fact, what about socialism?
00:38:27.720coming up in just a second i have charlie leduff uh he is a uh a michigan reporter
00:38:54.920host of the no BS news hour. I like him because he smokes and I don't smoke. I used to smoke,
00:39:01.200but I, I miss that hard edged journalist that, you know, always had a cigarette in their hand.
00:39:06.480No, he's had the cigarette smoke coming in front of their face and like,
00:39:09.380and let me tell you something else. Kennedy did.
00:39:13.060I miss that guy. And Charlie, I think is that guy. I think I just saw him do an interview with
00:39:19.340this woman because he's looking into all of where's all this funding coming from,
00:39:23.400you know act blue kind of stuff and uh i looked into him or i was watching this video and uh
00:39:29.800and he's doing an interview and i think he had the cigarette hanging out of his mouth like
00:39:33.780so you know so you never sent him 150 000 never sent him 150 000 and i just love it i just love
00:39:43.600it so i'm hoping he's going to be doing the show today smoking not that that's a good example kids
00:39:48.800No, it's not. But I enjoy it because it brings me back to the day when journalists were actually journalists on everything except for tobacco.
00:39:57.820Anyway, Jason, where do we stand with the Iran thing?
00:40:02.440Gosh, does anyone know? Do our negotiators know to the Iranian regime? No, I don't know.
00:40:08.340So this is the latest news. We could be having an Iran deal Wednesday today, which is different from our usual Iran deal Friday.
00:48:52.260I think you're fabulous, and you're exactly what America needs in journalism.
00:48:57.940Tell me about what you are finding with El Saeed's campaign donors.
00:49:03.020Okay. Let me preface it by why I'm looking. Okay. Because he fashions himself as the small donor king, the grassroots swell. He's the number one guy on ActBlue, you know, in Michigan, small donations from around the country.
00:49:20.62080 percent of his money is from act blue and 70 75 percent um of the actual money is coming from
00:49:33.080out of state so i can't go out of state so i'll look in state is this true because he's the guy
00:49:39.700that wants to get money out of politics okay you want to get money out of politics where's your
00:49:44.180money coming from. So we just, you know, we go into the FEC database, we download it, we put it
00:49:50.620on a spreadsheet, we run it, we have AI check it, then we double check AI, and then we double check
00:49:57.140each other. So we've got 120 donors, average age about 75 in Michigan. And altogether in the last
00:50:06.300decade or so 120 people have made three quarters of a million donations okay so we pick one and we
00:50:16.760go out to the countryside and there's an old lady and her house is burned down she's living in a
00:50:22.000trailer no internet no computer no running water and i was going to bring her the printout but her
00:50:28.040donations were 15 000 over five years totaling 150 grand and i told her i would have brought you the
00:50:34.860print out, but I ran out of paper. Did you, madam, in fact, donate 15,000 times to the tune
00:50:41.440of $150,000 with no house? And she donates and she says, ActBlue is the bank. I go through ActBlue,
00:50:49.320but nothing, nothing of that size. She was shocked. So to wrap it in a bow for you,
00:50:56.320you want to keep dark money out of politics. Everybody knows, everybody knows ActBlue's
00:51:01.600corrupt. We need to look at it. And I challenged Abdul, listen, man, if you want to get money out
00:51:06.960of politics, return all the Act Blue money because it's elder abuse. You're stealing Act Blue. It's
00:51:14.220almost obvious. I'm just going to say it. You're stealing old people's identity and you're running
00:51:18.780money from unknown sources through their names. And it's got to stop. Again, one more time,
00:51:24.460abdul out raised haley i'm rounding off 15 million dollars for their you know their general
00:51:33.420fund their campaign fund she raised 11 so forget special interests in the super PACs he out raised
00:51:40.260her what's the source of the money let's go come clean explain as i've done chalkboards on act blue
00:51:47.880years ago. We've got to look into that. This is so dirty. This whole system is just so corrupt.
00:51:56.940Explain for anybody who doesn't know what ActBlue is, what it is, and why you can say with such
00:52:01.500authority, it's corrupt. It's a clearinghouse. You want to donate to blue causes, you can go
00:52:06.860on to ActBlue. It allows you to make a, nobody can make a donation in your name. And you can't
00:52:13.260just give money and allow act blue to donate to a specific individual in your name you have to do
00:52:20.760it you tell you tell act blue to exercise the trade so to speak act blue allows you to uh re-up
00:52:28.860every month you can schedule a contribution to somebody every month when it gets closer to
00:52:33.460elections you can do it every week so when when this lady let's say she gives five dollars to
00:52:40.160Abdul El-Sayed why is it the next day she's given five more times and then two days later
00:52:45.800three more times and then four days later she's from another address the apartment she lived in
00:52:51.800for a while when her house burned down so I asked her show me how you make a donation on your phone
00:52:57.660she can't you know it's it's lovely it's she's 88 years old um and she's doing this with the phone
00:53:04.920like it's a transistor radio like the batteries are bad oh this thing this thing and she couldn't
00:53:10.420exercise the trade so there it's impossible for her to have sat there well it is i forgot the
00:53:18.000number glenn but three to eight times a day every single day every day of the year for five straight
00:53:24.220years it's impossible so who's triggering these trades you have her name and i said to her i said
00:53:32.420uh miss waffle do you ever remember making a 50 cent donation and she goes what that's
00:53:39.080silly and i said well here's the printout you made a 50 cent donation it's impossible to do
00:53:46.340so again act blue money comes in supposed to be you they exercise the donation for you
00:53:53.300but it's starting to look like they've got your name and mega dollars are coming in and you have
00:54:00.020no idea that this donation is being made in your name which is tantamount to identity theft and
00:54:09.240it's usually very elderly people how common is this story in Michigan I did one six months ago
00:54:17.940it was a you know liberal woman older black woman retired 77 she made $83,000 in donations and I
00:54:26.600said did you make 83 000 donations ma'am and miss miss appling she says what two dollars and 50
00:54:34.980cents maybe 83 000 i don't know about that it was like just just mind-boggling and now that
00:54:42.860we're in the general i am going to knock on 120 doors good 16 million dollars 16 million dollars
00:54:52.680these people donated so when you look at the results yesterday um i mean it is really close
00:55:00.820what does that tell you the national media is silly you know you're reading more into it that's
00:55:11.320there oh my god the socialists are taking over did that look like a groundswell to you a one
00:55:16.960percent difference that's that's no groundswell so if you're really looking in the the general
00:55:52.240so uh it's just not it's just not as wild as people want to make it out to be
00:55:58.460can you give me any indication at all there because because the the um arab and black
00:56:06.320communities have been at odds for a while i don't even know what the beef is but they're not they're
00:56:11.900not you know necessarily cut from the same cloth they don't they don't march to the same tune um
00:56:19.120And it appears as though it is some of the black community that has actually swayed some of these elections away from the socialists and away from the Islamists.
01:02:14.340How easy it is to hack into our water system.
01:02:17.840And then I'm going to give you a little history.
01:02:20.480Do you know the phrase, the writings on the wall?
01:02:26.180That comes from an empire like ours that is absolutely unbreakable.
01:02:33.840You're just not going to get through the walls.
01:02:36.000And somebody going, we don't have to get through the walls.
01:02:38.540We need the water system, and the writing is on the wall.
01:02:43.160And I'll explain that story because we've been here before, about 500 years before Christ, but we've been here before, and it didn't end well.
01:02:50.460We have to pay attention to our water system.
01:02:53.300Then later on today, I urge you to join me because we're going to do an overtime today.
01:03:01.140A final fourth hour of the broadcast today starts noon Eastern.
01:03:05.560It will be for insiders only of The Torch.
01:03:08.360If you want to become a Torch member and join us in everything that we're doing, please do.
01:08:39.080Minnesota's governor calls it modern warfare, a live war, an unattributed attack.
01:08:44.400two politicians arguing, you know, the forensics before the forensics are even finished.
01:08:49.140Here's what is not in dispute. And this is why I'm doing the special today. There are things you
01:08:54.880must be aware of right now, because being aware of them after the fact is not going to help
01:09:00.800help anybody. So the special today is to prepare you for what is coming. And I don't know when,
01:09:07.320but I think sooner rather than later. And this is another one of those things.
01:09:12.040In November of 2023, a crew affiliated with Iran's Revolutionary Guard, this is in 2023, took control of a booster station belonging to the water authority of, what is it, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, 30 miles outside of Pittsburgh.
01:15:30.980So he stopped looking at the walls and he decided to go upstream where the Euphrates ran into the city because, you know, that was the source of life.
01:16:11.860If you read Daniel in the Bible, the fingers, the writing on the plaster, you know, weighed in the balance and you were found wanting, that's where we get the phrase, the writing is on the wall, okay?
01:16:26.000It came the same night the river went dry.
01:29:40.180I mean, obviously, a lot of progressive Democrats have been making headway in the party and obviously the party is scrambling to figure out what to do with them.
01:29:47.100You know, as somebody who grew up in New York, I saw this first with Mamdani.
01:29:52.160I think he's a different type of politician.
01:29:55.340So it is interesting to see others trying to sort of follow in his footsteps.
01:29:59.520I'm thinking of Denise Lewis George in Washington, D.C.
01:30:02.220And it seems like El Saeed is, you know, a similar character, even though from what I've read, he doesn't identify as a Democratic socialist.
01:30:08.400and actually calls himself a capitalist,
01:30:10.960but he takes positions that are obviously to the far left.
01:30:34.020where the party ultimately settles out.
01:30:36.820But clearly, a lot of people were surprised by last night.
01:30:40.580I don't want to spend a lot of time on this, but it amazes me.
01:30:44.340You remember when the Tea Party, they were just asking for lower taxes and follow the Constitution.
01:30:49.960And they were made into crazies and that they hate America, they want to destroy the nation, all of these things.
01:30:56.200And they just went on and on and on about how the main party just has to get control of all these crazies.
01:31:01.840here you have a party that actually states i hate america i want to dismantle our form of government
01:31:09.900and the press is just like yeah well they just have a different opinion and uh let's see who
01:31:14.560wins i mean it's it's incredible yeah but i think that the left is having is going to have to deal
01:31:20.320with this regardless because even the people who they would say are more mainstream are still far
01:31:26.420to the left of the average median Democrat in let's call it 1990. These are not Bill Clinton's
01:31:32.340Democrats. That's for sure. No, no. So, um, is this good news for, I mean, especially I look at
01:31:40.540Detroit, anybody who is working, you know, on cars, anybody who is a blue collar worker, I just
01:31:46.000don't see them identifying with El Saeed. Um, I mean, I don't see him identifying with anybody,
01:31:52.260But I could see them, and do you have any, and I don't know where I'm pulling this from, so I could be horribly wrong on this, Delano, but I seem to remember that there's no love lost between the Arabs and the blacks, and I'm speaking big picture here.
01:32:11.780Is that a misunderstanding that I have?
01:32:17.720I think the issue of obviously in the Middle East and Gaza, those are big issues, my sense is, for more progressive, especially younger black voters.
01:32:29.360I don't know if it's as big an issue for older black voters.
01:32:32.840The interesting thing is that Stevens won Wayne County, which has the largest black population, by about five points.
01:32:42.060So it'll be interesting to see the exit polls to see where black voters ended up with El Saeed.
01:32:46.160um but but my sense is that a lot of voters across race across ethnicity are concerned about
01:32:53.560material issues and even conservatives i'm looking online conservatives are saying look
01:32:59.560the republican party has to do something about affordability um and obviously democrats are
01:33:04.120taking that message and i think their solutions and their proposals are ultimately going to be
01:33:09.380worse, like city-run grocery stores. But it seems like those kitchen table issues are the types of
01:33:17.660things that people are responding to. So both the left and the right have to figure out, okay,
01:33:22.580what is our affordability agenda, both for young people who are feeling the squeeze,
01:33:29.200obviously, at a different stage of life, and for middle-aged and older Americans?
01:33:34.360You know, it's amazing to me because I've said to the president that, you know, he should be going for, we're going to cut all of the federal regulations, you know, except for the things that, you know, get people killed.
01:33:46.600Cut as many of those federal regulations for housing.
01:33:49.980Build, build, build, cut everything you have to cut within reason to get all of this regulation out.
01:33:56.240I mean, the regulations for building homes and everything has, I think it has quadrupled in the last 10 years.
01:34:03.060It's insane. Cut them. Cut them. Let people build again. That should be our answer is build, build, build, build, build. And I don't know why the Republicans are not. They just seem really lost on, as you said, the kitchen table stuff. What about my food? What about my gasoline? What about my house? What about my job? They've got to get that message right. Because the socialists, they have the right diagnosis. They have the wrong prescription.
01:34:31.260Yes. And I actually think the point that you raise is a very interesting one because it touches on something of human nature. I worked 15 years in local government in Washington, D.C. And just from my experience and observation, if you come to someone and you say, OK, I know you've identified a problem in your life, there's an issue of affordability.
01:34:50.400And if one of the responses is, I'm going to cut government in such a way that it will eventually redound to your benefit, and then the other person says, well, I'm going to give you something so that you can afford the things that you want, my sense is that a good number of people are going to take the second option.
01:35:13.480And that's how conservatives would frame it as a handout.
01:35:16.140But for instance, let's go back to housing.
01:35:18.280If you live in a city and the city says, okay, we're going to set aside $10 million for first-time homebuyer programs or affordable homebuyer programs where if you go through this training, you will get cash in hand.
01:35:32.160Let's call it $10,000 or $15,000 to go towards your closing payment.
01:35:36.540That, to me, is going to strike people as a much more attractive option than a different politician saying, I'm going to cut regulations that will, you know, down the road, bring down the cost of housing for you.
01:35:49.000So here's the problem, Delano, that I think that Trump is having right now.
01:35:54.000He is, and you may disagree with this, but as I see it, he is redesigning the entire world.
01:35:59.740He is, he's basically fixing the plumbing and rewiring the entire house.
01:36:04.640None of it's sexy, and if you own the house, it's the last thing you want to do is have a contractor come in.
01:36:09.980When you just want to fix your house up, make it nicer, and he says, we really should start with the electrical system.
01:36:15.320It's a fire hazard, and the plumbing is all shot.
01:36:20.660But you have to do that if you're going to have a house.
01:36:25.040And so he's spending all of his time on that stuff because he saw, I can change this quickly and give stuff away or tweak this here and tweak this here.
01:36:33.800But then after four years, it can all be done.
01:36:36.840I've got to put the deep work in on the infrastructure to give us ready for the next century.
01:36:43.500There's got to be some combination of that.
01:36:48.840And even if you do understand that, it doesn't help you while you're paying your bills.
01:36:52.100So there's got to be some way to do a combination.
01:36:55.000And hey, look, we're doing this long term.
01:36:57.000But in the short term, we're going to cut all the regulation or long term, we're going to cut all the regulation so you can build.
01:37:01.780but you need something to help you now. So here's a $10,000 benefit or something like that.
01:37:07.260I think if you can explain it that way, you could get the best of both worlds.
01:37:12.620Right. And I think that's a perfect analogy. And to your point, as a homeowner, there's certain
01:37:18.060things that if they go wrong in your house, the infrastructure issues, yes, they're not sexy,
01:37:22.840but they certainly are expensive. But if you're a child in one of the bedrooms and, I don't know,
01:37:28.120you know, your bed is lumpy or there's mold in your room, then your thing is like, I'm not
01:37:34.860actually as interested in, you know, whether the water heater is on its last legs. I want to
01:37:40.740address those things that affect me on an everyday basis first. And I think finding that balance is
01:37:47.020the right thing. So I can give you one tangible example, even something like the Trump accounts,
01:37:51.940right, where particularly parents with young children can say, I'm going to open this account.
01:37:56.440Now, even that, you will get an immediate $1,000 into the account, but in order for it to feel the full benefit, you have to rely on the benefit, correct, of the free market and compound interest.
01:38:11.760So it's a challenge because I think voters across the board are often looking for the things that impact them in here and now.
01:38:19.520Yeah. Honestly, it is the biggest problem that we face. We are a fast food society, and we have fine dining problems. I'm sorry, it's going to take a 10-course meal to fix this thing. You cannot get it at the window as you're driving through, but we don't want the 10-course meal.
01:38:37.920We'd love it if we sat down and we ate the 10-course meal, but we have no understanding of it.
01:39:04.280All right, I'm going to take a quick break because I want to, and if you don't mind, if you have time,
01:39:07.600I'd like to hold you over at the bottom of the hour and give you a little more time on this book because I think what you're doing is really, really important.
01:39:13.400The name of the book is The Vanishing Black Family, and this has been a theory of mine for a long time that how do you go from people who said no to the Civil Rights Act to four years later being the ones who designed the great society that's so good for blacks?
01:39:30.680That doesn't make any sense to me at all.
01:39:32.520I just – I have nothing to back this up.
01:39:35.620Someday I keep threatening I'm going to do the work on this.
01:39:39.900But I think the guys who wrote that, I think they knew exactly what they were doing.
01:40:04.260If you've ever bought or sold a house, you know what I mean. You learn what you should have asked after the inspection. You learn what you should have negotiated after the contract is signed. You learn what you should have noticed before you already moved in. That's why I started realestateagentsitrust.com. I wanted to connect you with the agents who have already learned all of those lessons so you don't have to.
01:40:27.340They know how to advertise, get the right people who are already looking for a home like yours into the database.
01:40:33.600So when yours goes on the market, you can sell it quickly.
01:40:36.080And they are committed to helping you make the best decisions.
01:40:38.940And the best part about somebody else's experience is you get the benefit of it without having to pay the really expensive tuition yourself.
01:40:48.760We'll find the right agent in your area, somebody we have vetted six ways to Sunday.
01:40:52.520It's realestateagentsitrust.com, realestateagentsitrust.com, 10 seconds, station ID.
01:41:10.120The name of the book is The Vanishing Black Family, but I think the subtitle says it all.
01:41:14.000How Welfare and Feminism Made Marriage Optional and Children Vulnerable.
01:41:18.000um delano you just heard me say something that i've believed intuitively for a long time and i
01:41:25.180don't have any evidence that it's true but did you find anything that shows that that the the
01:41:32.340great welfare system or the great society actually did the opposite and did you find anything that
01:41:38.860says there were some in the progressive movement that were racist were were cheering for that
01:41:47.540So I will say it's clear after 60 years that the expansion of welfare, particularly for low-income families, oftentimes targeted at black families starting in the 1960s, did a tremendous amount of damage to the structure of the black family.
01:42:07.640And what I say in the book, and this is in chapter two, I say that welfare displaced men from their rightful positions as providers in their home.
01:42:15.580Now, I'll say this, Glenn, and I say this as somebody who worked 15 years in local government.
01:42:20.820I found that the besetting sin of elected officials and unelected bureaucrats, for that matter, is more often hubris than it is malice.
01:42:29.820And I would say the same thing about, you know, Lyndon Johnson, Great Society, War on Poverty.
01:42:34.120It's the idea that, you know, I as the president, as the commander in chief, as the leader of the free world, I can fix the problems of millions of people who I've never seen and never met and I do not know.
01:42:45.000um, by the stroke of a pen, by increasing funding. Uh, and it's, it's, it's the idea that, okay,
01:42:50.280if we just give people more material resources, their families will be stronger, not understanding
01:42:55.040the worldview, um, that when you do something like that, and particularly when you say that
01:43:00.080married couples are not eligible for welfare benefits, you create incentives for women,
01:43:05.400particularly low income women to have children without the benefit of a husband. Um, so that's,
01:43:10.500I mean, if I'm not mistaken, there were, and I'm not assigning any malice to it, but there were those that would go to doors and say, look, I know you're struggling.
01:44:26.100That really sounds like it was pushing that.
01:44:28.220But, you know, when you're going in and you're dismantling families like that, I'm sorry, why has there been nobody inside that has gone, hey, guys, this is not working?
01:44:44.140You know, when you look at how our tax system is structured, you structure taxes to shape behavior.
01:44:50.900You know, you say, hey, you're going to have to pay a cigarette tax.
01:44:53.640You're trying to get people to stop smoking.
01:45:49.800I named women, politicians, and bureaucrats.
01:45:53.680The party left on the outside is the man who in previous generations would have been the husband.
01:45:59.840And now, as I said, it's written completely out of the story.
01:46:02.880Now, you brought up feminism. And what I say is that there was an interaction between these two cultural shocks in the mid 1960s.
01:46:12.540So, again, welfare displaced men from their rightful home, from their rightful role as providers in the home.
01:46:18.240And second wave feminism deceived women into believing that femininity is weak, masculinity is toxic in men, but empowering in women, that marriage is oppressive, the home is a prison and children are a burden.
01:46:31.180And from that lesson, you get all types of things that, again, disrupt the dynamics between men and women, which makes ultimately marriage obsolete and, you know, at the end of the day, children vulnerable.
01:46:43.720And it is amazing that that is exactly the message they're now shoving on everyone.
01:46:49.640With that track record of what it did to the black family unit, now pushing that.
01:46:55.160And look what it did to the black society.
01:47:05.280Back with Delano Squires and his book, The Vanishing Black Family, in a minute.
01:47:10.020First, one of the strangest things about the digital age is that the most valuable things that you own aren't the things you can actually hold.
01:47:22.360You can even push your cash and jewelry into a safe.
01:47:26.340But your identity doesn't live in any of those places.
01:47:29.180It exists in the banks and the credit files, online accounts.
01:47:31.880That means that the thing that is most valuable to a criminal is something they can try to steal from the other side of the country or the world.
01:47:42.180They will help monitor for a wide range of threats, your identity.
01:47:45.940If it is being tampered with at all, they alert you to any kind of suspicious activity.
01:47:51.780And if you ever do become a victim of identity theft, you'll have access to a U.S.-based restoration specialist who can help you work through all the process.
01:47:58.880So we've learned to protect the things that we can see.
01:48:01.940It's time to start protecting the things that you can't see that are the most valuable.

01:54:42.480I talked to an intern at Heritage the other day.
01:54:44.760She said she estimated about 55% of her classmates are either in long-term relationships, engaged, or married by the time they finish their undergraduate studies.
01:54:55.120And she said it actually creates pressure on those who are not.
01:54:57.680And I said, oh, boy, I would love that problem at HBCU.
01:55:00.960I would love to deal with that problem.
01:55:03.000So, yeah, so there's an institutional response.
01:55:06.140One of the things that makes this book different than anything else that people have seen is that I also name the political obstacles to a marriage revival movement.
01:55:20.780They include abortionists because Planned Parenthood understands that close to 90% of women who seek abortions are unmarried.
01:55:26.960So more marriage means less business for Planned Parenthood. They also include big government liberals, because for them, the answer is not, you know, a different and stronger family structure. For them, it's always more government spending to address issues in low income communities.
01:55:43.800And then I talk about the importance of media
01:55:47.500And obviously you would appreciate this
02:01:43.900so what i'm about to lay out for you here um on torch is something that will you know be coming
02:01:59.780out over the next year really on the main show but this will give you a real strong direction
02:02:07.280um you know i say this is this is 1984 1984 is right now when you think of that book what what
02:02:15.840jumps out at you most people will think totalitarian totalitarians we just went through
02:02:20.460this in 2020 it was 1984 the state controlled everything told everybody what to do and you had
02:02:26.280to do it that's that's not the big part of 1984 it's not the jackbooted thugs that's not the
02:02:34.620important part the important part is they changed everything they changed history they changed the
02:02:43.100way you spoke we're seeing parts of this now on all this new language you can't say that you must
02:02:49.140say this that's part of 1984 but what we're about to head into and this is again seeing over the
02:02:56.220horizon if you're a fast food listener this is probably not the show for you um because i look
02:03:03.020over the horizon, I look for deeper and longer term problems and solutions. You want to fix
02:03:08.600culture? You don't fix that overnight. How is culture broken? Culture was broken a little bit
02:03:15.000at a time. And it took us 30 years, 40 years to destroy our culture and get to where we are now.
02:03:22.380It's going to take individuals making individual choices a little bit at a time to fix culture.
02:03:27.660And there's some big things that will happen along the way.
02:03:31.880If you want to fix our problems, you have to, A, actually see the problem, diagnose the problem, and especially if you can see over the horizon and see it coming your way, then you're not playing catch-up.
02:03:46.220And I'm going to tell you about a problem that is over the horizon that you can't play catch-up.
02:03:53.480On this one, there will be no catch-up to play.
02:03:55.780you must do it now and um all of our problems when it all comes down to it
02:04:02.820it's not going to be the big politician that fixes it it's not going to the fixes are not
02:04:07.980going to come from washington they're not going to come from donald trump they're not going to
02:04:10.880come from a napoleon they're not going to come from you know some mom donnie it's not it's not
02:04:16.340it's going to come from people remembering who they are remembering what is important
