00:47:24.640 the many appropriations bills and intentionally created a pile up at the end of the fiscal year to jam

00:48:30.740 small bill because you're extending all of in this case biden uh federal government spending which

00:48:37.760 is is militant it's not just big it's it's aimed at us so that's why it's so harmful the the way it's

00:48:44.240 supposed to work is that you have an annual uh debate on the department of agriculture or the epa

00:48:51.760 the department of defense and we've gotten out of the business of of having that debate on the house

00:48:58.140 floor and what ends up happening is that the is it's all crafted behind closed doors and and it's

00:49:05.760 just a they put them all together you'll hear another word called the omnibus bill that's bad too

00:49:11.160 they'll put it together and then they'll attempt to just jam it through in the night of day and at the

00:49:16.760 at late at night and expect members to not have read it and what these members are saying is we're

00:49:23.660 done it's not we're not doing that process anymore but it's more than just a process it's about to your

00:49:29.520 point earlier using this leverage point to actually save the country because this is the last leverage

00:49:35.580 point that we have heading into next year because of the some of the other decisions that kevin mccarthy

00:49:42.040 has made and what are those decisions that he's made he extended the debt limit to the to the new

00:49:49.440 administration and so when you take essentially one of your few leverage points and and push that past

00:49:57.380 into 2025 now you're left only with funding leverage and in congress there are very few must pass bills

00:50:06.200 we call them must pass bills that the car it forces the cartel to act and the cartel hates these because

00:50:13.280 they then have to stop governing behind closed doors at agencies where they legislate apart from

00:50:20.080 constitution of apart from the congress they have to come in to congress and get these things passed

00:50:33.740 able to defund the woke and weaponized bureaucracy so tell me when this changed it was 2008 and why did

00:50:49.880 growing for years uh each year is a little differently based on the interest of of what's going on in

00:50:57.780 play sometimes a continuing resolution is is better than an omnibus but still bad and so it's hard to

00:51:05.080 say what was going on but all of it is is a natural progression of the cartel year and year out to

00:51:13.160 basically avoid the house floor avoid debate amendments and doing real budgets and to push it

00:51:20.420 behind closed doors in in in that fashion and to make it so that it's very very painful and stark

00:51:26.920 so we just found out from 60 minutes uh this last weekend that we are now paying for every

00:51:34.320 firefighter in uh ukraine you know we're we're paying for their equivalent of social security many

00:51:41.560 of their um agencies we're paying for um but we're also paying for their small businesses and bailing out

00:51:49.200 all of their small businesses all of that causes inflation to an incredible degree here in america

00:51:56.080 how do who knew about this well i think we've had suspicions about what has been all of these

00:52:07.160 taxpayer dollars been used in ukraine we're now hearing more and more reporting of it but this

00:52:12.100 is the fundamental problem when you are cutting these enormous checks for ukraine and you're putting

00:52:18.740 yourself in a position that the country will will help escalate a war in europe at the expense of our

00:52:26.560 taxpayers and our consumers here in this country and then you find out it's not just for for weapons

00:52:33.080 that are going to be hard for us to replace on our own stockpile but it is for the basically the

00:52:38.820 funding of their domestic economy and it's totally outrageous and it's one of the reasons why i think

00:52:43.260 we're going to have a big fight this week on whether kevin mccarthy has to stick by his his

00:52:48.640 commitment to strip out all the ukraine funding i think that'll be one of the points of drama that

00:52:54.020 we look to this week and i'm thankful that some of this reporting has come out because this is you

00:52:59.520 know the country is increasingly outraged by our our spigot with regard to funding ukraine and it puts

00:53:06.780 them in a situation where it's not unlike the fed right when the fed has low interest rates for

00:53:12.960 far too long people make bad investment decisions and you have a bubble this is like the foreign policy

00:53:19.220 version of it when when we don't force them to make their own determinations by their own resources

00:53:25.720 they have an overextension of of what they feel they can get away with and they don't make good

00:53:31.700 decisions and so it doesn't help them and it certainly doesn't help us so you put out seven points

00:53:37.400 on the things that you think should transpire um since they they don't have the uh the votes

00:53:45.140 for a cr right so we know that they can't do uh continuing resolution um and that could

00:53:54.640 open us up to a government shutdown do you have any idea of uh how solidified the uh republicans are

00:54:04.540 on this this uh showdown with the left the house conservatives are very solidified and as a result

00:54:14.120 because of the slim majority we're going to have a shutdown i'm i'm convinced of it uh there are

00:54:20.020 certainly a huge portions of the majority the house republicans that want to avoid that at all costs

00:54:26.820 and most of the senate the senate will be criticizing anything that the house does that is at all

00:54:31.580 righteous and so i do think there'll be a shutdown i do think that the house conservatives have the

00:54:38.340 ability this time because mccarthy's political capital is so depleted from the from the previous

00:54:43.580 debt deal that they will be able to force this fight and the question will be at that point execution

00:54:50.740 and being able to hold strong hold the line and be able to really crisp you know message to the

00:54:57.300 american people what this debate is about and really i think it's about this do they feel secure

00:55:03.660 on the host of issues facing them from this government and i think that answer will be a resounding

00:55:09.900 no and i think that's an opportunity to win a debate like this with with and manage the political risk
