00:00:00.000 Greetings, you friends. Today I thought to answer the one of the most common questions I get, and that is actually what my favorite board game is.
00:00:17.000 Okay, so it's not really one of my most commonly asked questions. 0.55
00:00:22.000 Yeah, to be perfectly honest, I've never actually been asked this, but it's a good fucking game so I'll talk about it either way.
00:00:30.000 And without further ado, Britannia. 0.85
00:00:39.000 It's a glorious game for three to five players. I mostly played it with four, which is the optimal amount.
00:00:46.000 And as the title suggests, it's a historical game which follows Britain from the Roman invasion to the Norman invasion, and then you take different factions.
00:01:02.000 It's a strategy game as well.
00:01:07.000 And obviously, I might have mentioned this in the past, but the reason I'm so interested in British history actually stems from the fact that British authors like to write about British history or Roman history.
00:01:20.000 So you have to choose from those two. And since Swedish isn't that big of a language, I mainly have to pick books written in English.
00:01:28.000 So that's what led me into British history. So I read so much about it that I've gotten into it.
00:01:35.000 And this game is about that, so very cool for me.
00:01:40.000 And speaking of British history, I will reveal a little secret. 0.96
00:01:46.000 It's not fucking wine, because I'm serious about my games. 0.80
00:01:56.000 Either way, so during the post-Roman and pre-Norman era of England, there was a title called Brettvalda. 0.96
00:02:06.000 That was awarded to the most powerful king of the different kingdoms of England, you know, Mercia, Wessex, and Dessex, and stuff like that.
00:02:19.000 And if you think of the title and the name, Brettvalda, does it sound similar to anything?
00:02:27.000 It might. It just might, true friends.
00:02:30.000 But that's a secret I'll never tell.
00:02:32.000 So either way, really cool game.
00:02:36.000 Testosterone, some history, perfect for me. 0.98
00:02:39.000 So if you have gathered four true friends, and then fucking go time, play it like. 0.97
00:02:46.000 My best recommendation for a bit of a deeper board game. 0.96
00:02:54.000 I know Risk is quite popular, but that's too much luck, little strategy, not enough historical depth.
00:03:01.000 So this actually gives a good history lesson as well, because you get to know the different peoples that invaded Britain and so forth.
00:03:11.000 So that's my best recommendations for a board game right there.
00:03:15.000 But that's based on my preferences and since I'm interested in that.
00:03:19.000 So, who am I? 0.97
00:03:23.000 I'm the fucking Brettvalda. 0.98
00:03:25.000 XOXO. 0.99
00:03:26.000 Boom
00:03:27.000 Boom.
