00:00:39.000 So I thought about titling this video Coffee Tactics, but I thought it would be more fun with a semi-clickbait video title.
00:00:50.000 So anyway, what you can do if you drink coffee and if you want to be extra hype on a certain day, if you have something in particular where you need to perform extra well or just a day where you need to be extra alert.
00:01:04.000 So what you can do is, first and foremost, you should have a standard amount of caffeine you consume every day.
00:01:12.000 So for me, right now, it's two cups of coffee.
00:01:16.000 One in the morning and one after lunch.
00:01:19.000 Now, what I've done as a way to optimize my performance on this particular day, because I wanted to be extra productive, hence making this video now as well.
00:01:31.000 What I did was, three days ago, I omitted the second cup of coffee.
00:01:36.000 I replaced it with a black tea instead.
00:01:39.000 I did it the same the day after and the day after that.
00:01:43.000 So instead of having the second cup of coffee at lunch, I had black teas.
00:01:47.000 And now today, I had a coffee instead.
00:01:50.000 And I can, of course, immediately feel the difference.
00:01:53.000 So I'm a bit more hype today than I was yesterday and the day before that.
00:01:59.000 So the days where you have a black tea instead of a coffee, you might feel a bit less energetic in the afternoon because you don't have the same amount of caffeine.
00:02:08.000 But you will load up to have a larger effect when you go on the full amount of caffeine again.
00:02:15.000 So it can be good to plan your caffeine intake in that way if you want to have a day where you perform optimally, either mentally or physically speaking.
00:02:26.000 So anyway, to recap, if you have a standard amount of caffeine, you can reduce it for a few days and then go back to your original amount and you will notice that you are more alert, so to speak.
