00:00:31.460 I have, as is my custom, a few updates to give.
00:00:34.900 And these updates concerning training, epic training,
00:00:39.180 they are highly related to the topic at hand.
00:00:43.100 And as you see in the title, the topic is, of course, elemental magic.
00:00:48.080 Therefore, I thought to first define magic.
00:00:51.460 What do I mean with magic?
00:00:53.680 And I will quote a certain degenerate, perhaps you know of him,
00:00:57.860 Alistair Crowley, and he said,
00:01:00.360 Magic is the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will.
00:01:06.820 So that is a good definition of magic and that is spelled with a K at the end.
00:01:11.580 And he did that to distinguish between magic as you perhaps encounter in fantasy literature or something like that.
00:01:18.900 So when we're talking about magic, when I talk about magic, it is more about mental techniques, to use a different term.
00:01:26.120 So it's not about magic as you would see it in Harry Potter or something like that,
00:01:31.080 but rather about using your will to make some sort of change.
00:01:36.600 And the change can be completely in the subjective.
00:01:39.820 So as I mentioned in Demigod Mentality, which will be out in a few weeks,
00:01:45.200 the subjective universe, it is what takes place in your mind.
00:01:49.660 Basically, your connection to God, to the metaphysical universe.
00:01:53.660 And then you have, of course, the physical.
00:01:55.760 So the physical is if you touch your hand, that is a physical sensation.
00:02:02.140 And if we're talking about the metaphysical sensation is if you do something in your mind with your will
00:02:09.260 that can later on have an impact on the physical.
00:02:13.760 So to take an example, and this is an example I use in Demigod Mentality as well,
00:02:18.000 if you first decide to make a change with your will in your mind,
00:02:22.680 so in your subjective universe, you say to yourself, I am a proud gentleman and I walk with my back straight.
00:02:29.940 So that is a change first taking place in your subjective, in your mind, in your metaphysical.
00:02:35.800 Then that influences you to walk with a straight posture.
00:02:39.000 And walking with a straight posture will have actual physical, even hormonal positive changes to you.
00:02:46.780 So your body language, it will have an impact.
00:02:49.400 And the change in body language, it can come about as a result of you making a change in your mind, basically.
00:02:57.060 So that can be a good explanation of what magic is, what we mean with magic when we talk about it here

00:03:05.840 Now I know some people, they chimp whenever I talk about magic, especially Christians.
00:03:10.880 And, you know, immediately they chimp.
00:03:13.320 So I posted a book review and I posted to Instagram as well that these are the points I elaborate on in my book review.
00:03:20.440 And then they started to chimp there and commented stuff without even reading the book review.
00:03:26.320 Something to keep in mind as well if you're a content creator that sometimes, or quite often actually,
00:03:31.980 that many individuals, they react upon an image so they don't even take the time to read anything.
00:03:37.820 They just immediately express their opinion on something without actually taking the time to read the context.
00:03:46.820 Now, of course, I am quite fortunate in that I have a quite above average intelligence, I would say.
00:03:52.560 I would humbly say that about my own audience.
00:03:55.080 So it's not often it happens, but sometimes it does happen.
00:03:59.020 So that is hopefully a somewhat good definition of magic.

00:04:13.880 Now, of course, it must be noted that Aleister Crowley was a true degenerate in the truest sense of the word.
00:04:22.640 So he can also be used as an example of how it can go, how life can treat you if you take too many drugs, if you become a drug addict.
00:04:31.420 Now, I know there are individuals who, they use the quest for enlightenment or the magical quest as an excuse to take a lot of drugs.
00:04:42.200 Now, there are, of course, individuals of the priest archetype who should, in some cases,
00:04:47.320 I'm not saying that anyone should do anything illegal or do anything harmful,
00:04:51.400 but there are instances, if you have a shaman, for example, who, he wants to take some sort of substance to reach a different dimension.
00:05:01.700 In some cases, in very few cases, that can be reasonable, but for most individuals, if they use it, if they take ayahuasca as an excuse to commune with spirits,
00:05:12.640 but in all actuality, they might just be drug addicts.
00:05:16.520 So for the absolute majority of individuals, it's best to just stay clear of these things.
00:05:23.220 Speaking of which, and this is something I will make a separate video on,
00:05:26.740 I will urge caution when it comes to things like deeper magical operations and astral travel, stuff like that,
00:05:36.360 because if you don't really know what you're doing, you don't know what sort of entities you might invite.
00:05:42.120 So it can be good to stay clear of it, and if I want to say something nice about Christianity,
00:05:48.700 it's actually that, since they usually have a quite strict line against magic, it can be good for most individuals.
00:05:54.940 So, good for most individuals, but not so good for spiritual seekers.
00:06:00.440 Anyway, on to another definition of magic.

00:06:05.640 So when I say that I train MMA, I use MMA as a term to encompass all martial arts, basically.
00:06:14.020 So I can say that I train MMA, but over the last few months, maybe I have only trained boxing,
00:06:20.420 maybe I've only trained a certain part of MMA, but I still label it as MMA, because it's ultimately the aim of it.
00:06:29.320 So that can be something we can use for magic as well, that you can encompass many different things within magic.
00:06:36.300 So you can have mental techniques, meditations, astral travel, doing some sort of a change in consciousness,
00:06:45.760 anything like that, or just participating in some sort of ritual.
00:06:50.480 So when I say magic, I mean that in a very broad sense.
00:06:53.580 And of course, the term itself, it's not particularly specific, so everyone can, you know, have a different definition of it.
00:07:01.120 But when I say it, it's a very, very broad term I use for most things that have to do with any change in your subjective universe.
00:07:09.680 So what's going on in your own mind, basically.
00:07:13.180 And of course, what goes on in your mind, it can influence the, first and foremost, you as a person,

00:07:21.780 So something to keep in mind as well is that everything is connected, and that is why these things work.
00:07:29.700 So if you don't believe in God, if you don't believe in the metaphysical, the hinterwelt,
00:07:35.400 if you don't believe in any of these things, then, yeah, all of these things, they won't make much sense.
00:07:41.320 But if you do have an appreciation of the metaphysical side of the world,
00:07:45.660 then many of these things, they will make a lot more sense.
00:07:49.480 Now, if you don't like to use the term magic because you think it sounds too unacademic,
00:07:55.240 or too unspecific, or too vague, or whatever it might be,
00:08:00.320 you can simply replace the term magic with mental techniques.
00:08:04.260 So we're talking about now, in this fine episode, I've titled it elemental magic,
00:08:09.060 but you can, in your mind, you can retitle it, should you wish, you can retitle it to
00:08:14.460 mental techniques for optimal performance in cognitive and athletic endeavors, something like that.
00:08:23.700 So anyway, I have hopefully made myself somewhat clear, at least.
00:08:29.100 Of course, it's a hard task to define magic, but that is at least what I mean.
00:08:34.700 So do keep that in mind for future episodes and videos and posts and everything like that.
00:08:43.240 Now, on to the first training update, a very glorious one indeed.
00:08:48.620 So we had Bohemund Cup 2 a few days ago, and it was even better than the first.
00:08:56.200 The first one, as I said earlier in summer, it was an absolutely great day.

00:09:02.780 So we had chins, dips, and weighted chins.

00:09:09.700 And yeah, it was just so fun.

00:09:16.760 And I was just filled with joy and inspiration and motivation afterwards.

00:09:26.900 So therefore, we had Bohemund Cup 2 a few days ago, and we had two additional events in the competitions.

00:09:43.100 So that's when you throw a ball, a heavy ball.
00:09:46.740 So that is one of the new events I thought add for optimal Olympian feels.
00:09:54.200 And then we had a sprint as well, which was really nice.

00:10:02.940 But Linus, the winner of the first Bohemund Cup, he mogged me in the sprints.

00:10:26.400 So I don't want these competitions to only be about gym exercises, but an overall athletic, well-trained, health-oriented competition.

00:10:54.820 And this also brings me to a related note on magic.
00:10:59.120 So I said manas energy.
00:11:01.000 Manas is a rune in the Elder Futhark and it is related to the menurbund or the men of the tribe.
00:11:08.940 So you have a certain energy which, and this is something I've talked about many times before, that my athletic performance is increased greatly when I have herios.
00:11:21.780 Herios means members of one's own group in Proto-Indo-European.
00:11:26.900 So in plain English, when my guys are there and I have that presence of them, then I perform a lot better.
00:11:35.560 And I could definitely see this during this particular competition.
00:11:40.300 So to use an example, a few days before the competition, I did some bodyweight chins and I did 15 repetitions and it felt quite heavy indeed.
00:11:51.680 And during the competition itself, I did no less than 26 chins at a bodyweight of 95 kilos.
00:12:01.040 Now, I'm not saying this to extol my own athletic prowess.
00:12:05.820 I am saying this to explain how much this manas energy, this magical energy, can actually impact an athletic performance.
00:12:15.560 For the record, I also did 37 dips.
00:12:18.520 And yeah, of course, as you all know, I'm quite fit and well-trained and I have trained a lot of calisthenics over all of these years, everything like that.
00:12:27.380 But the difference in performance between a session when I'm alone and a competition where I have the presence of 10 guys, in this case, on my side, it's a huge difference.
00:12:43.780 And I can only attribute that difference to these metaphysical energies.
00:12:49.400 So I will, of course, need to study this more.
00:12:53.220 I will experiment more with different exercises and different configurations of high thumos guys and everything like that.
00:13:01.000 But it's super interesting and, of course, do try this yourself if you have good friends that you can train with.
00:13:07.160 If you have a max repetition you want to do, if you want to set a PR in a powerlifting exercise or a max new record for chins or dips, do try when you have this good high thumos atmosphere with guys on your own side.
00:13:25.560 And it will make a world of a difference.
00:13:28.620 And perhaps you remember I talked about this last year as well when I did a cycle of small of junior that it felt quite heavy and I actually had to wait because I was alone at the gym and I had to wait until some older Swedish men, you know, high thumos, they aren't explicitly on my side, but I can only suppose they appreciate what I do.
00:13:49.140 Anyway, they came in big grizzly, older, big Swedish grizzly bear type men.
00:13:54.840 And they came in just, yeah, they spotted me, of course, but it wasn't the spot I needed, it was the mana's energy, just having them there to send those metaphysical energies.
00:14:08.640 So it might sound a bit schizo hippie posting here, but it's absolutely legit and I would say that do try it out, do check it out, help me in my study of magic here, my gym magical studies of optimizing athletic performance.
00:14:26.440 So something you can keep in mind when we're talking about these manas energies and this menurbund magic, everything like that, to put it in plain English, again, just view it as you have your good friends nearby or individuals on the same side as you nearby.
00:14:45.440 And, you know, within a few meters within line of sight and you can envision a stream of energy connecting you and if you have a good few guys, say four, five or even only two or three, that will increase your own power within you.
00:15:01.260 Now, of course, you don't need to overthink it.
00:15:03.820 If I can only summarize it, I can say train with good high thumos friends.
00:15:09.140 And something very important to keep in mind here, you can't drag any low thumos guy to the gym and expect them to supply you with good energies.
00:15:19.040 So this mana's energy I'm talking about, this menurbund magic, it can only work if the guys you surround yourself with are actually high thumos, positive high vibrations.
00:15:31.020 So you can't, you know, drag an unwilling low thumos guy to the gym and expect to be able to tap into his energies.
00:15:39.140 So you need guys who are on a certain level.
00:15:43.000 They are also enthusiastic about life.
00:15:45.240 They have a certain amount of divine energy within them.
00:15:49.520 They are on your side.
00:15:50.740 So, again, you can't go into a normie gym and surround yourself with normies you don't have any connection to or individuals who do not really have any divine spark within them.
00:16:05.380 So do find good high thumos friends, surround yourself with them and you will benefit greatly.
00:16:12.100 And, of course, they will benefit from you as well.
00:16:14.820 So both gain, everyone gains from it in this situation.
00:16:18.660 Now, this brings me to my second training update.
00:16:23.780 Big shout-out to my man Olympio.
00:16:27.260 Perhaps you saw I posted to Twitter, or should I say X now, as it's now known.
00:16:33.960 And also to Instagram, I posted his deadlift.
00:16:38.620 He did a PR 230 kilo deadlift, a very respectable weight indeed.
00:16:44.900 So I posted me giving him a hug afterwards and I reposted his, the lift itself.
00:16:52.420 And now this is a perfect example of using will to create change.
00:16:58.700 So, of course, Olympio, big, strong guy.
00:17:01.000 He has trained very hard in Portugal.
00:17:03.320 So the physical preparation already in place.
00:17:07.380 But what was so interesting with this lift is that it was definitely the will that made a difference.
00:17:14.460 And something to keep in mind here as well, that the will can only do so much,
00:17:18.920 but it can make a difference when you already have prepared well enough in many other ways.
00:17:25.140 So for athletic performance, say a deadlift, you have so many different factors coming into play.
00:17:31.500 You have, of course, how long have you trained?
00:17:33.660 How much have you progressed?
00:17:35.080 How strong are you?
00:17:36.080 What physical powers do you have?
00:17:38.060 How strong is your body?
00:17:39.220 So that is purely within the physical realm.
00:17:42.040 And then other factors like how much have you slept?
00:17:44.960 How well have you eaten?
00:17:46.400 These things, they matter greatly.
00:17:48.340 So never overestimate the magical or metaphysical side of things.
00:17:53.000 You also need to train your physical, but you should also not underestimate the mental aspect.
00:17:59.140 So the metaphysical or magical aspect of it also willpower in this sense.

00:18:05.000 Now, of course, he was on vacation here in Sweden, usually trains in Portugal where he lives.
00:18:10.380 And when you are on vacation, you're never as strong as you are when you are in your everyday routine back in your own gym.
00:18:17.940 So being able to set a PR when you're out like this, it's quite spectacular.
00:18:23.760 And I would say that he, of course, it was with me and his fair maiden.
00:18:28.500 So he had the support of both of us and he really wanted to get this PR.
00:18:34.640 So I could see that the deciding factor was that willpower.
00:18:38.280 So there you can see magic in effect, if we are to use that term magic.
00:18:43.740 Magic in effect to get a PR in the gym because the willpower, it was the thing that pushed over the top.
00:18:51.340 So it can definitely make a difference when it's only a few percent that will determine if you get the lift or you do not get the lift.

00:19:04.000 Most of it, it's about preparation, you know, having a good schedule that you have followed for a good while.

00:20:16.980 So it's a lot more fluid than traditional Muay Thai.
00:20:21.140 And of course, you use more limbs than you do in Western boxing, so regular boxing.
00:20:26.920 So if you look at that sequence, you can see that I don't focus so much on power or anything like that.
00:20:34.220 I am focusing on being fluid, of making a long combination of getting the entire body to flow, basically.
00:20:41.380 So when you're doing this type of combination, and Dutch kickboxers, they are famous for having this good long combination,

00:20:51.400 And of course, this is something you can envision when you train regular boxing as well,
00:20:57.160 especially when you do these longer combinations with some slips and some side steps and, you know, being a hard target to hit.
00:21:05.900 So think of yourself as being fluid like water can be applied in grappling as well.
00:21:12.220 Now, I haven't tried grappling with the mentality of the water magic element yet.

00:21:21.160 But yeah, you can think of it as well when you grapple to be fluid in that sense.

00:21:35.380 So the four elements, you have air, fire, water and earth.
00:21:40.940 They have been trusted companions in Western thought for a very long time, a very long time indeed,
00:21:48.920 dating back to the good old Greeks, the ancient Hellenes.
00:21:52.600 And the elements, they haven't only been something to take into consideration in regard to magic and spirituality and stuff like that,
00:22:01.620 but also in the scientific history of the West.
00:22:06.440 And something to highlight here as well, I usually do highlight it in my book reviews,
00:22:12.820 is that the occult masters of the past, the magicians of the past, they have also often been scientists.
00:22:20.320 So you have Paracelsus, take an example, and he can be described.
00:22:25.120 And I quote from Wikipedia of all places, but it's a good quote anyway.
00:22:30.040 So Paracelsus is widely held to be the father of chemical medicine, chemotherapy and the science of toxicology.
00:22:38.060 So someone who was very into the occult, into magic, to use that term again,
00:22:43.760 and also who did contribute greatly to the scientific progress of the West, to use that term.
00:22:51.240 So when we're talking about the elements, they have been present in the scientific journey of the West as well.
00:22:57.580 But now in this particular episode, we're concentrating on the magical aspect of the four elements.

00:23:10.000 I have read a book titled Practical Elemental Magic.

00:23:40.560 So anyway, it's a short, concise, practical book, which I can recommend for anyone interested in the matter.
00:23:46.840 So in this book, I found a few meditation techniques, so some workings you can do.
00:23:52.380 And I have taken a few weeks to experiment a bit with them.
00:23:56.120 And I would say that they are quite good indeed.
00:23:59.240 So I did something similar as I did with the runes.
00:24:02.420 So the runes of the Elder Futhark, as I've mentioned before,
00:24:05.340 I simply took a week at a time to meditate on them and to see if I could get some insights.
00:24:11.320 And this was a highly fruitful endeavor.
00:24:13.520 As you will see in Demigod Mentality, I have a whole chapter dedicated to the runes.
00:24:18.380 Now, finally, on to the main topic of this fine episode, the elements themselves.
00:24:27.100 How can we use these four elements to improve our lives?
00:24:31.940 Our MMA game, our parenting game, our business game, our education game, whatever it is.
00:24:39.080 We use, of course, magic to improve our lives.
00:24:41.940 And if someone claims to be powerful in magic, but doesn't really have any life success to speak of,
00:24:49.940 then, yeah, the magical power probably isn't there.
00:24:54.260 So, that said, we turn to the book, the aforementioned book, Practical Elemental Magic.
00:25:01.160 Working the magic of the four elements in the Western mystery tradition.
00:25:05.840 Now, if you have read all of my book reviews, I salute you if you are an enjoyer of the book reviews.
00:25:13.060 These are my most astute and esteemed disciples.
00:25:16.620 So, anyway, you know that I always say whenever I read a book, I appreciate practical instructions
00:25:23.340 if you have some sort of meditation technique.
00:25:26.780 And this book, which I can actually recommend, it's a nice, concise, good book.
00:25:31.620 And in chapter 12, they introduce the elemental pyramids.
00:25:35.920 So, it contains four meditation techniques or magical workings, we could call it.
00:25:42.600 One for each element then.
00:25:44.180 And I have used these pyramids when I have meditated upon the elements.
00:25:50.460 So, similar, again, as to the runes.
00:25:52.700 And I've spent two weeks on each element, which is, of course, not enough to gain, you know,
00:25:57.640 the full understanding of them.
00:25:59.140 You have to continuously work with them and you have to apply them in practice.
00:26:03.900 So, what I've done, again, to refer to the training video, the boxing and Thai boxing,
00:26:08.640 or rather, Dutch kickboxing, is that I've tried to implement these teachings,
00:26:15.280 these mental techniques that are presented via these pyramid workings.
00:26:20.820 And also, to yet again refer back to Bohemond Cup 2 and the chins and dips,
00:26:26.660 I said it was so much easier to do chins, for example.
00:26:31.880 So, that is primarily the manas energy, but also a touch of air element energy there,
00:26:38.080 that you feel like the wind.
00:26:39.680 Also, when you sprint, you feel like the wind.
00:26:41.860 Or when you punch, you do striking pad work, for example.
00:26:44.960 You feel fast as the wind.
00:26:47.180 So, you use these sort of mental images.
00:26:50.200 You conjure them in your mind to improve your athletic performance.
00:26:54.040 Or, to take another example, you have in the water element,
00:26:57.460 which is a bit more a feminine element, but also good for us men, especially for fathers.
00:27:02.400 You gain a sort of, you can gain deeper patience with your children, which is great.
00:27:08.860 So, I'll get into this in just a bit.
00:27:11.420 The first element I want to talk about is air.
00:27:14.360 And that's because that was the first elemental pyramid that was presented in this particular book.
00:27:20.440 So, I will try to explain the meditation technique, and you can perhaps try it.
00:27:25.600 Now, I am presenting these meditation techniques as I have used them,
00:27:29.200 so they look a bit different in the book.
00:27:31.860 And, of course, it's highly subjective.
00:27:34.140 So, you can do whatever you wish.
00:27:35.740 This is just my take on the matter, how I did these meditation techniques during my daily meditation.
00:27:42.620 So, when I do meditate, I usually start with Wim Hof breathing,
00:27:46.840 and then I go into some sort of deeper meditation,
00:27:51.500 and, in this case, using these meditation techniques.
00:27:55.400 So, a pyramid, basically.
00:27:57.460 Envision yourself sitting in a pyramid,
00:28:01.260 or it's supposed to become a pyramid when you have created lines via your thoughts.
00:28:06.900 So, I am paraphrasing from the book now, regarding the air pyramid working.
00:28:11.680 So, see yourself in a sky blue square, whose corners are in the east, south, west, and north.
00:28:19.160 In the first corner, in the east, is the first of the four powers of the air, that of clarity.
