00:00:27.300 Greetings proud sons of Rome. Today I thought to explain why I say this and also explain a bit
00:00:43.460 about European classical heritage. So I'm currently at one of the absolutely most epic places in the
00:00:51.500 world near Segovia in Spain, San Ildefonso. And as you can see behind me some really epic statues. I have
00:00:59.540 made videos from here last year as well. I will link that video below so you can check it out.
00:01:05.420 A classic training slash nature video and I might film some more for coming videos just because
00:01:11.220 there's so much epicness here. So basically what we have to understand when talking about being
00:01:17.960 proud sons of Rome etc. It's more the metaphysical legacy of Rome as a pan-European thing rather than
00:01:27.300 actual Rome. So I don't mean literal sons of Rome itself but rather the legacy of it. And this of
00:01:35.120 course do not start with Rome but starts with ancient Hellas. And just on a personal note here I am biased
00:01:41.960 because I have good feelings about Greece ever since I was small. First and foremost because
00:01:48.740 our father read the Iliad to me and my brother when we were small. So I got that really early on that
00:01:55.060 sense of epicness from those stories. Also the Odyssey of course. And when I was small I was six years at
00:02:02.380 the time. We went to Crete for a holiday and everyone was extremely nice and I liked it really much. So I've
00:02:10.060 always had a personal affinity for Greece as well. But yeah that was just a personal little anecdote.
00:02:16.800 Later on of course I've also respected Greece as the cradle of western civilization and it's also
00:02:22.860 something that I'm not unique in talking about being proud sons of Rome or proud sons of Makedon or
00:02:30.420 Zeus and Ares. It's something that basically all European powers carried with them into the early
00:02:37.660 modern era for example. So if you look upon the castle in Old Town of Stockholm you have
00:02:44.460 ancient Hellenic aesthetics because it's part of a pan-European thing. So this little clip right here
00:02:52.460 of Hercules suckling is from the castle in Stockholm. So you will see these type of things in Copenhagen
00:03:00.620 as well. So the different European nations and cultures have our own culture of course. So does
00:03:07.020 Swedish culture for example. But you also have a pan-European culture dating back to Rome and to Greece.
00:03:12.860 And of course speaking about the Roman gods. They're basically copies of Greek gods just with new names.
00:03:19.340 And I also thought to take this opportunity to talk about this because we have had a new release for
00:03:25.260 Legio Gloria rocking this Perseus shirt now. Which is obviously to encourage you to renounce the
00:03:32.460 energy and to stay strong. The other release is the Sword of Mars which is a nod to the Western Roman
00:03:42.140 Empire. It's called Sword of Mars, Sword of Attila. And this is to remind ourselves that currently in
00:03:47.820 Western Europe at least we are at where the Western Roman Empire was in their decaying years so to
00:03:54.620 speak. But it's a motivating thing at least and it's something that I want to point to Greece and Rome
00:04:01.260 as the spiritual origins of Western civilization.
00:04:17.820 Extremely smooth edit into the video here. Another note on Achilles as I mentioned in
00:04:31.900 a recent video. Also I've styled myself to a certain extent upon Achilles. So if you look at my hair
00:04:38.700 obviously when I was 14 or 13 saw Troy and thought Brad Pitt had a really aesthetic physique and also
00:04:45.740 hair. So that is one reason. And then also in regards to the theme of this video it's important
00:04:52.700 to point out that if I use Greek aesthetics or Roman terminology and or anything like that it doesn't
00:04:59.900 mean that I renounce the Viking side of Swedish history for example. I am the first one to be
00:05:07.180 patriotic for my own. So it's not about that at all. It's about a pan-European legacy and after all my
00:05:15.740 holy work here in the materium it's about Western civilization, European bio-culture, European
00:05:21.820 civilization. So it's a pan-European movement that I am promoting. It's not specifically Scandinavian.
00:05:28.860 So that is an additional motivating factor for me to use this sort of yeah this type of aesthetics,
00:05:36.300 this type of terminology saying proud sons of Makedon obviously in respect to Alexander the Great.
00:05:42.780 And also another note which I forgot to mention in the previous place we recorded in is that the
00:05:49.660 Holy Roman Empire or Germany saw itself as a spiritual descended from the Roman Empire. So you
00:05:57.820 have that as a reoccurring theme in in Europe. So yeah and this is the t-shirt I was mentioning about
00:06:05.180 the sword of Mars and I thought to take these pictures here since we have Ares behind us or Mars in
00:06:12.780 Roman. And then a last note upon this whole Roman or Greek legacy in the rest of Europe. My name Marcus
00:06:21.340 is of course of Roman origins. So yeah back to the other spot boom. So anyway I hope that was a good
00:06:30.060 explanation of why you see in Spain here a lot of Greek aesthetics or why you see Greek aesthetics in
00:06:36.780 Copenhagen or Stockholm. It's because it's the same lineage that continues on with classical Europe.
00:06:43.260 And also if we're talking about Christianity and paganism it's not either or. It's first paganism
00:06:49.100 then Christianity took over but you see here again still the same sort of aesthetics. So neoclassical
00:06:55.340 aesthetics or whatever you want to call it. It's absolutely motivating and glorious at least.
00:07:00.380 So anyway, thank you for watching. XOXO, BOOM!
