00:01:38.900 which you do not otherwise like or agree with. Or another great surprise, you can even read

00:02:03.260 degeneracy right here, Alistair Crowley. Nonetheless, I appreciate reading about him so I can gain new

00:02:15.100 Buddhism and whatnot. It's nice to read about other individuals, so do not be afraid to be a bit open-minded.

00:05:18.440 will get Evola's own take on fascism. This, of course, it requires an open mind, and I know that's

00:05:32.040 you know, the capacity to think outside of the box, then you can read this book if you want to
00:05:37.160 get Evola's take on fascism. And also, since we are on the topic of Evola, I can also recommend
00:05:43.480 this fine book, The Mystery of the Grail. This is where Evola shines the brightest when it talks about
00:05:50.040 historical, mythical things like that. Absolutely epic stuff indeed. Now, there are some things to
00:05:57.480 think about, of course, when you read Evola. Some of his teachings, they are outdated. Some of the
00:06:02.280 things he writes in his books, they are outdated. So to just take one example when it comes to the
00:06:08.200 early European farmers juxtaposed against the warlike Indo-Europeans. No, it was believed back in
00:06:15.240 the day that the early European farmers were matriarchal and peace-loving. Nothing could be
00:06:20.760 further from the truth. They were enthusiasts and enjoyers of ultraviolence, just as the Indo-Europeans.
00:06:28.120 So both patriarchal, both violence enjoyers. So this is something Evola gets wrong, but this shouldn't
00:06:34.920 detract you from enjoying the other writings of his. So he gets some things wrong. He has some
00:06:41.560 perspectives every once in a while that aren't in congruence with my own thoughts, perhaps. But
00:06:46.440 again, you can read my critique on my page. Now, also, since we are on the topic, I thought to give
00:06:52.440 a shout out to Inner Traditions. Actually, most of the books you've seen me review, they are from
00:06:57.800 Inner Traditions, and that is yet again because they have such a wide variety of books. And for me,
00:07:03.800 you know, reading about esoteric stuff over the last two years has been an absolute joy.
00:07:08.280 So two books in particular, in addition to my first love, my first esoteric love, my first book
00:07:16.600 I read basically about esoteric matters, The Icelandic Magic by Stephen E. Flowers. I can highly
00:07:22.760 recommend it. It's very interesting, quite concise, and easy to read as well. And then we also have

00:07:48.360 all enthusiasts, we're all devotees of Mithras here. So this is a book about Mithras, so the Greco-Roman
00:07:56.280 Mithras, as well as the Persian Mithra. And of course, they share a common Indo-European root. So this is
00:08:03.320 a very nice book indeed as well. I will talk more about Mithras in coming videos.
