Summary
Intermittent Fasting is a new way of eating during a window during the day where between a few hours you can eat, and you can decide how long that window will be, and how long you should eat during that window. I'm checking in from beautiful Lothlorien here in Middle-earth, aka Sweden.
00:00:21.000
So, today I thought to radicalize you all with my teachings, but before I begin to do
00:00:26.000
I would like to offer a fair warning to all parents if you have teenage sons that watch
00:00:34.000
I will just give this heads up that they might start going to such extreme measures as to
00:00:40.000
stop watching porn, start going to the gym, start going to read more books, start having
00:00:46.000
an aversion to drugs and alcohol, and start generally taking more care of their mental
00:00:52.000
So, be prepared for that, just thought to give that fair warning so you all know what
00:01:00.000
No, that being said, I have a lot of fitness and health videos incoming.
00:01:07.000
I thought about making many of these before, but then the whole censorship scandal broke,
00:01:14.000
But I'm trying to catch up on the videos I have promised you all, especially you on Patreon
00:01:19.000
and Subscribestar, I have said that I'll make videos on it, this is one of them.
00:01:26.000
So, basically what it means intermittent fasting, as you see in the title, is that you eat during
00:01:36.000
So, between a few hours you can eat, and you can decide yourself on how long that window will be.
00:01:42.000
So, I first stumbled upon intermittent fasting via my Swedish countryman, Martin Berkan,
00:01:49.000
a few years back on his page Lean Gains, and I will link it below, because it's important
00:01:55.000
And I thought it seemed perfectly reasonable, everything he wrote.
00:01:58.000
And if you want to look at the scientific studies behind what I'm talking about,
00:02:05.000
I'm just talking from my own personal experience.
00:02:08.000
So, basically, the first step is to cut out breakfast, basically.
00:02:14.000
And that is the main point for me when I talk about intermittent fasting,
00:02:17.000
because most people, they aren't really that hungry in the morning.
00:02:21.000
And for me, also personally, I like to get things done in the morning.
00:02:24.000
I don't want to waste time on making something to eat.
00:02:32.000
And to, again, clarify, I don't disavow coffee in the least.
00:02:43.000
For me, it was just a personal choice of cutting down somewhat on the consumption.
00:02:48.000
But if you want to start doing intermittent fasting,
00:02:52.000
and you still have that hunger or craving in the morning,
00:02:55.000
you can just have a cup of coffee instead and let that be your breakfast.
00:03:02.000
because unless you are a bulk bra, or if you are younger,
00:03:06.000
you're still growing and stuff, you can cut out breakfast
00:03:10.000
and place those extra calories if you need them at lunch.
00:03:15.000
So lunch then becomes your first meal of the day.
00:03:18.000
And this is something I've done for seven or so years,
00:03:23.000
Then again, if it's more convenient for me to eat a breakfast,
00:03:29.000
so if I'm at some sort of hotel, it's a nice breakfast,
00:03:32.000
of course I will partake in it, so I'm not that static
00:03:35.000
that I let it go out over my enjoyment of life, as it were.
00:03:39.000
And then also if I know that eating early on in the day
00:03:42.000
is the only time to eat during the day because of some reasons,
00:03:53.000
I just like to get a good start of the morning,
00:03:55.000
get things done and not be as dependent upon food.
00:03:59.000
And that's the second aspect I would like to enlighten you to.
00:04:04.000
It's the aspect of becoming less dependent upon food.
00:04:07.000
So if you're used to not eating for longer periods of time,
00:04:10.000
it doesn't matter if for whatever reason one day
00:04:17.000
you can deal with certain situations in a better manner.
00:04:23.000
for you who are interested in survivalism, et cetera,
00:04:29.000
with going longer periods of time without food,
00:04:37.000
and I eat my first meal at 16 or something like that,
00:04:44.000
whereas if I would have been dependent upon eating
00:04:49.000
my cognitive ability and general mood would be lessened
00:04:53.000
because you all know it's not nice to be hungry.
00:04:55.000
But if you are used to dealing with longer periods of time
00:05:04.000
if you want to get shredded, if you want to lose some weight,
00:05:10.000
For me, to just recommend intermittent fasting to someone,
00:05:15.000
Now, keep in mind that if you want to lose weight,
00:05:20.000
So you have to spend more calories than you take in.
00:05:25.000
not have to think all too much about what you eat.
00:05:28.000
And also, if you want to lose even more weight,
00:05:30.000
you can cut out all liquid calories so that you chew all food you take in.
00:05:35.000
Then, of course, you can drink coffee, water, tea, etc.
00:05:42.000
So you eat your last meal at 20 or 22, depending on when you get home from training.
00:05:48.000
So for me, if I train at 21, I get back at 22 perhaps,
00:05:54.000
Or if I'm training at 19, I get back at 20 or something,
00:05:57.000
I eat my last meal then, brush my teeth, and that's the end of the day.
00:06:01.000
Now, for the sake of transparency, I'm not as strict when it comes to the evenings sometimes I eat anyway.
00:06:08.000
But if I'm trying to get shredded, I'm more strict with the evening timing as well.
00:06:13.000
But when it comes to breakfast, it's a rarity that I eat it.
00:06:18.000
So that was my thoughts on intermittent fasting.
00:06:21.000
I hope it was somewhat helpful and informative at least.
