00:00:00.160 Greetings, Laddingtons. Today I want to talk a bit about Patreon, Sargon of Akkad, Jordan Peterson and Dave Rubin.
00:00:08.040 And of course also about the fact that Subscribestar is back in business.
00:00:12.520 So for those of you who do not know what I'm talking about, in December last year, so a month ago,
00:00:20.560 Sargon of Akkad got kicked off Patreon for saying a bad word in another person's livestream.
00:00:28.820 A very silly thing he got banned for, but it is what it is.
00:00:34.280 Now I will say the following before commenting upon these three individuals, and that is that I do like Sargon of Akkad.
00:00:41.420 I think he does brilliant work in exposing leftist hypocrisy, etc.
00:00:48.000 Now Dave Rubin and Jordan B. Peterson, I can't say all too much about.
00:00:52.580 Jordan Peterson does some good things, but he has a tendency to counter-signal people who get too close to the truth.
00:00:59.920 So Jordan Peterson, not quite a true friend, but he still does some good work.
00:01:05.080 Anyway, the reason I mention these people is because they took the decision of leaving Patreon after Patreon kicked Sargon of Akkad.
00:01:13.320 But no, I will say this, that I am on Patreon, and I've never had a problem with Patreon,
00:01:18.820 and I've chosen to stay there because I'm hardly in a situation where I can, you know, do something like that to score some political points.
00:01:26.320 I have a lot of things to take care of now, especially with a baby incoming, so I don't have the luxury to play with money in that sort of way.
00:01:35.180 But I understand completely that Jordan Peterson and Dave Rubin did this because they obviously don't want to be next.
00:01:42.400 Now, in regards to Patreon, some people say that Jack Conte, who is the CEO of Patreon, he is against free speech and everything like that.
00:01:51.280 I don't think that's the case at all.
00:01:52.980 I think he is very pro-free speech, but he has to play ball with the people who are higher up than him in the hierarchy.
00:01:59.800 And he understands that Patreon is a problem for the powers-to-be, because the powers-to-be do not want independent content creators to be able to be financed by the public.
00:02:13.140 That's a ridiculously stupid idea for the powers-to-be.
00:02:16.660 You can take Sweden, for example.
00:02:18.460 You have leftist journalists who are mocking independent journalists and content creators, saying,
00:02:23.960 Oh, you are using these services, and in Sweden we have something called Swish as well, which means that you can very easily pay people or send donations, etc.
00:02:33.960 Now, these leftist journalists, they are mocking people who do this Swish journalism because, oh, you don't have a real job, you don't have a real employment, etc.
00:02:43.660 But the hilarious thing here is that the journalists in the mainstream media, they're there for one simple reason, and that is that they have gone through life like this, never taking any hard battles themselves.
00:02:54.400 Just said the right thing to the right person at the right time, and, you know, just sold their integrity completely to whatever the powers-to-be wants to hear.
00:03:04.320 So then they have a well-paying position within a newspaper or within, you know, whatever media outlet it might be.
00:03:10.900 And the fun thing here, too, is that these big media outlets, in Sweden at least, they do get paid by the state as a support.
00:03:19.580 So it is extremely silly of them to try to score some points against other people.
00:03:23.920 Who does journalism or create content without this sort of support?
00:03:28.580 And that is also why Patreon is very hated and Swish too hated by these leftists, because they see that other people can get the funding to present an alternative worldview,
00:03:40.160 because they obviously, they get, they have the big money behind them.
00:03:43.840 The mainstream media have a lot of big money behind them, so they don't need to count on, you know, crowdfunding or anything like that.
00:03:50.660 So Patreon and crowdfunding is a problem in the eyes of the established powers, so to speak.
00:03:58.120 So for me, I obviously support anyone who is trying to facilitate freedom of speech, who's trying to facilitate payments to people who promote, you know, politically incorrect opinions.
00:04:10.920 And for me personally, this is extremely important.
00:04:13.680 If you think that I can get a regular job with my name in Sweden, of all places, at this moment in time, you're playing wrong.
00:04:20.720 It would be very, very hard.
00:04:22.600 So obviously, I rely on crowdfunding as well to have YouTube as a source of income.
00:04:28.840 Simple as that.
00:04:30.020 Now, on to Subscribestar.
00:04:31.880 I thought, when they got into trouble last December, I thought, okay, this is the end for them.
00:04:37.900 But they said that, you know, we're not gonna lie down, we're gonna fight this.
00:04:41.480 And now, they're back in action.
00:04:43.300 And Sargon Avakad, he has completely switched to Subscribestar now.
00:04:48.120 And I have signed up for an account there too, so if you want to get access to my weekly training summary, you can do so there as well.
00:04:57.640 I will keep posting on Patreon, and I would definitely appreciate if you, who are already a Patreon, stay on Patreon, so I have a bit more robust system, so I don't have everything in one place.
00:05:08.620 So, if you are already a Patreon, please stay there.
00:05:12.360 If you do want to support me, but you don't want to do it on Patreon, you can sign up on Subscribestar.
00:05:18.080 And I don't see this as a donation, I see this as, you know, you get access to the training notes, and also, obviously, that you contribute to the Metapolitical Cause here on YouTube.
00:05:29.860 So, with that said, the big battle of 2019 is freedom of speech.
00:05:35.040 No question about that at all.
00:05:37.400 So, anyway, thank you for watching.
00:05:40.140 XXL, boom.
