00:00:38.880Deadlifts are magical in the sense that there aren't quite any other exercise that is as testosteroneous to perform when you go for your 1 rep max deadlift and get it up.
00:00:54.080It's a bit like retaking Jerusalem, as it were.
00:00:58.080Now, obviously, a lot of guys don't want to retake Jerusalem or they can't retake Jerusalem for whatever reason.
00:01:06.080So they have to do as Richard the Lionheart and obtain a lot of other victories.
00:01:12.080They are glorious, but they can't quite replace Jerusalem.
00:01:16.080And that is how you can view deadlifts as well.
00:01:19.080So if you want to build a massive back, deadlift is your primary exercise.
00:01:25.080However, I realized full well that, you know, some guys have hurt their back.
00:01:29.080Some guys simply aren't built in a way that, you know, you can do deadlifts with great results.
00:01:36.080So I'm going to go through some other things you can do to attain glory without doing deadlifts.
00:01:43.080So first of all, we have to look at deadlift as a heavy basic compound exercise.
00:01:49.080Now, if you can't do deadlift, you have to focus more on the squats.
00:01:53.080And now it's like, oh, you know what, there are two different exercises, but they have one thing in common.
00:01:58.080And that is that they stimulate basically the whole body because it's such heavy weight.
00:02:03.080So the entire body has to work as, you know, one unit to get the weight up because it's such stress for the body.
00:02:11.080So you see, that's the part where a deadlift is good for entire body movement, as it were.
00:02:18.080And if you don't do it, you need to focus more on the squats.
00:02:22.080And for me, I actually done so that I go with the periods like either I squat heavy or I deadlift heavy.
00:02:28.080If you can do both, that's absolutely brilliant.
00:02:31.080But if you can't do one of them, do the other.
00:02:34.080So that's the first step. If you can't do deadlift, focus more on the squats to get that, you know, extremely heavy weight that involves basically the entire body.
00:02:44.080Now, you obviously want a massive back so that people would say like, foa, mirin, mirin gangs.
00:02:51.080It's a very testosteroneous thing to have a really massive back.
00:02:57.080And now I would say that heavy barbell rows is the way to go here.
00:03:02.080It's obviously, yeah, not Jerusalem, more like Accra or some other city in the Holy Land.
00:03:08.080Then obviously another back exercise, which is quite glorious indeed, is the weighted chins, which then obviously stimulates both your guns and your lats.
00:03:20.080So that is another exercise you can do.
00:03:25.080And obviously, many of you probably can't do weighted chins directly.
00:03:29.080So you have to go with, you know, regular body weight chins up until you hit like 12 repetitions or something.
00:03:35.080Then you can start with either 5 kg or 10 kg hanging and, you know, work yourself up from there.
00:03:41.080So basically, to conclude, yes, you can attain enlightenment without dead lifts, even if it won't be as glorious, but you can still do it.
00:03:51.080You just have to focus more on the squats to get that, you know, whole body activation.
00:03:57.080And then you have to focus more on heavy barbell rows and on weighted chins.
00:04:03.080It won't be quite the same, but you can still obtain a massive back and optimal glory.
