Miranda Devenine of the New York Post shares her thoughts on what happened in the midterms of 2016, and why the FBI failed to act on a key piece of evidence that could have changed the outcome of the election.
00:14:13.140And I just didn't want to intervene when the former Vice President of the United States was lying through his teeth in that second presidential debate.
00:14:35.580There really seems to have been a collusion between the Biden campaign and the Democrats, the FBI and big tech.
00:14:43.280And we know this because the FBI now we know was basically spying on Rudy Giuliani, who was at that point President Trump's private attorney.
00:14:57.820And they had been the FBI surveilling covertly his cloud or his emails and his text messages since a few weeks after he became President Trump's attorney for another two years,
00:15:12.180which encompassed that period when the computer repair shop guy, John Paul MacIsaac, who had possession of Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop, contacted Rudy, told him everything he had, chapter and verse,
00:15:28.360very forensic email containing some really damning evidence about the Biden influence peddling operation,
00:15:36.400which would have been very damaging to one candidate for president.
00:15:42.360That would be Joe Biden if it came out.
00:15:45.160The FBI also had access to the text messages between me and Rudy Giuliani, which indicated that the New York Post was about to publish.
00:15:53.840Now, about this time, the FBI went to Facebook and they told them to be on the lookout for some Russian disinformation that was going to be in a very particular form.
00:16:04.700We don't know exactly the details that they gave Facebook, but certainly it was specific enough that Facebook knew immediately when our story went live on October 14 of 2020,
00:16:17.720that this was the story that the FBI had been warning them about.
00:16:22.040And immediately Facebook shut us down and then Twitter followed.
00:16:27.840And that was enough for the rest of the media.
00:16:30.760That was sort of their fig leaf to say, oh, well, this story must have something wrong with it because big tech has censored it.
00:16:38.780And then four days later, you had this scurrilous letter written by 51 top former intelligence officials, including four former CIA directors, including John Brennan and Leon Panetta.
00:16:52.900May they forever hang their heads in shame.
00:16:56.120They wrote this letter saying that the laptop had all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation, or they called it a Russian information operation.
00:17:04.200They wanted to give the impression, even though they had never inspected the laptop, they had never asked us for a copy of the hard drive.
00:17:13.140They lied and used this sort of great cachet of their former high officers to pretend that this was a Russian disinformation operation, which it wasn't, had nothing to do with Russia.
00:17:28.360And that letter was enough for Joe Biden to get off the hook in his last debate against Donald Trump.
00:17:36.360And, of course, Joe Biden said the entire intelligence establishment has said that it's Russian disinformation and you, Donald Trump, are the one with the problem.
00:17:51.860And it's easy to forget that the moderator was decidedly one sided in her perspective on on all of that.
00:18:00.960And not unlike Candy Crowley back in 2012, interceding, certainly more with more nuance than did Candy Crowley in that debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
00:18:55.880If they continue to gaslight their readers and viewers and pretend that this is a non-story, then their readers and viewers will not ask questions about why they were kept in the dark.
00:19:08.040I mean, being kept in the dark, as you just said, had real political consequences.
00:19:12.180The Media Research Centre, among others, has done polling since the election and found that in their last poll, I saw something like nine and a half percent of Biden voters would have changed their vote if they had known about this laptop influence peddling scandal.
00:19:29.700And we also know from another poll they did that the New York Post story that we ran on the laptop in October of 2020, that, after it was throttled, only had about a million or so readers.
00:19:47.700Whereas the New York Times had a story just a couple of weeks earlier, a very bogus story about Donald Trump's tax returns, which if anything was hacked, that was a story which was hacked, but they had no problem with Facebook and Twitter.
00:20:05.820That story had something like four or five times more reach than our story because it wasn't throttled.
00:20:13.120So that gives you an example, you know, maybe they got four or five million people that saw their negative story about Donald Trump than we had with our story that was negative towards Joe Biden and fully factually accurate.
00:20:27.960Yeah, fully factually accurate. A letter from 51 so-called intelligence veterans, perfectly willing to squander whatever credibility or any vestige of what was once, I would hope, a group of people who had, at least at the beginning, some integrity.
00:20:49.800Not a one has apologized, not a one has in any way withdrawn those comments.
00:20:59.940That in and of itself speaks volumes about the depth of the political corruption of our intelligence agencies, and particularly the FBI and the Department of Justice.

00:21:34.620What are we to make of an electorate that is indifferent to the credibility, the integrity of a sitting president and an attorney general, and for that matter, director of the FBI, Chris Wray, who is certainly no better than they?
00:21:51.320Well, again, I think that the electorate really is in the dark, because the media has become so polarized and atomized.
00:22:03.600And, you know, the left-wing media just has become an arm of the regime, whether it's, you know, pushing vaccine mandates, whether it's covering up the Hunter Biden laptop, whether it's, you know, censoring any dissent when it comes to any of those issues.
00:22:25.780There's Ukraine, vaccines, COVID, the origins of COVID, Anthony Fauci, you know, Joe Biden and his family's corruption, Joe Biden's cognitive decline.
00:22:39.920I mean, there are a lot of people in this country who don't even understand that that is a problem because he gets, everything about him gets airbrushed and dismissed.
00:22:50.420And the mythology of Joe Biden as this good and decent man continues to be pushed on half the country.
00:22:58.740So it's taken now two years almost of his presidency for a poll to show that now two-thirds of Americans do have concerns about Joe Biden's mental acuity.
00:23:20.940I mean, you know, any journalist who was there, as I was, for the New Hampshire, Iowa caucuses, New Hampshire primaries in early 2020, could see straight up that there was something wrong with him.
00:23:36.200He needed to carry a teleprompter to the most basic stump speeches that every other candidate could recite in their sleep.
00:23:47.520He was in a fog, much like he is today, only a bit worse.
00:23:52.360And it was obvious to every person who came to his town halls, not that there were many.
00:23:57.420There was very little enthusiasm for his candidacy back then.
00:24:00.920And it's really reprehensible, criminal of the Democrats to have foisted such a person on the country to take on the world's most difficult job at a time of great peril for the world.
00:24:16.480I mean, you had Joe Biden the other night at a private fundraising dinner ranting about, you know, nuclear Armageddon on its way.

00:24:29.360And having dropped that bomb, he's then heading off to Delaware for another long weekend.
00:24:35.400You just wonder what is going on in the White House and what kind of danger they're putting us in.

00:24:48.600I think that you have chronicled greatly what we are contending with here with an impaired puppet president, the Marxist Dems who control both the Democrat Party and, of course, Joe Biden.

00:25:38.860And to have no curiosity, let alone conscience, about these existential issues is to me both disheartening, but also just I'm befuddled that we could have reached a point in this great society of ours where this passes for journalism and corporations can actually get away.

00:26:15.380You know, as an example, you had the Washington Post the other day had a story about how there's really the crime problem in New York is nothing.
00:26:27.980It's the New York Post's fault for exaggerating it.
00:26:30.740We have the vice president and the head of the Department of Homeland Security telling us that the border is secure, continually telling us the border is secure.
00:26:44.520When there have been four million plus illegal aliens flood across that border.
00:26:50.820And, you know, the Biden administration has been flying these illegal migrants into New York and everywhere across the country in the dead of night on these charter flights and then then spiriting them away in charter buses to God knows where.
00:27:06.440This has been happening for a year and right under the nose, as I might say, in Westchester of the local Westchester media, both a television station and a newspaper.
00:27:22.280And they have ignored the newspaper and they have ignored the newspaper, downplayed it if ever they mention to criticise the New York Post, which is the only outlet that actually was tipped off to that story and actually went up.
00:27:37.080I went up there with a photographer several times, watched these planes arrive, followed those buses with those illegal migrants to where they were being dropped off at affordable housing in the Bronx, for instance, or just dropped off at a rest stop off the New Jersey turnpike to be picked up by unvetted adults in cars.
00:27:59.820People whose bona fides were never checked by the officials who were there.
00:28:05.800I mean, this clandestine operation is going on across the country under the noses of the nation's media and hardly anyone is writing about it.
00:28:16.940People in their own communities are writing to me now and saying in Staten Island or in Queens, we have these hotels, these travel lodges, which are now bursting at the seams with illegal migrants.
00:28:29.820Migrants who, you know, are being fed and watered, but don't have warm clothes, want to work, can't work, are depressed.
00:28:44.600And by the way, the latter part of what you said could also be said of millions of hardworking Americans who don't have jobs, who frankly are being told that they're racist, who are being indoctrinated by the very media, that their consumption dollars support, i.e. advertising in this country, is the voice of business.

00:29:11.960We are watching a society that is succumbing to the power and the pressure of the most powerful institutions in it.
00:29:23.020Our government, our political parties, the corporations that are driving public policy now, we have reached a new point in American history.
00:29:36.140And this is a, without a doubt in my mind whatsoever, this is an existential midterm election.
00:29:45.280And whatever happens or is permitted to happen, if we permit, God forbid, what we saw in 2020, it is game over.
00:30:10.940It is, I want to get your thoughts about how important it is and what you think the odds are that we will see this election provide at least a bridge to the possibility of reigniting a national spirit within America.
00:30:28.720Look, I'm a bit of a Pollyanna as well when it comes to this election.
00:30:32.380I have great faith in the American people.
00:30:34.760And I think even, you know, you're looking at New York, for instance, Lee Zeldin, a Democrat, you know, this is a Democrat state, Democrat city.
00:30:46.440A Republican has not been voted in for 20 years.
00:30:49.660And yet everywhere you're hearing former Democrats say that they are going to vote Republican this time, that the Democrats have lost them.
00:30:59.420And I think once people are red-pilled, once they realise, as so many parents have, for instance, that the Democrats are backing this woke ideology, this gender ideology, which is just a dagger in the heart of families and destroying the innocence of children.
00:31:17.720I think once parents, no matter what their political leanings were, before they were red-pilled, they are fully on board with the Republican pushback on that kind of idiocy and evil, really.
00:31:33.600You look at what's happened with Ron DeSantis in Florida, and that's just a blueprint for success.
00:31:41.140This is where a kind of a purple state is becoming now pretty red.
00:31:49.040And he looks to be, to romp it in at the next election.
00:31:52.660You look at a very different character, Glenn Youngkin in Virginia, who again won what should have been an unwinnable election, a lot of it on the backs of angry parents.
00:32:05.480You look at, in New Jersey, we almost had an upset there with Jack Cittarelli.
00:32:11.600If he'd had more backing from the Republican establishment, he could have flipped that.
00:32:17.820So I think in this midterms, there's a lot of pent-up anger and angst in the community that's not fully being picked up by the polls because now that Joe Biden and his party have fully demonised Republicans, calling them super-maga, ultra-maga, semi-fascists, whatever vile slur he wants to throw at them,
00:32:43.040it's become frightening to be conservative because you could have the FBI turning up at your doorstep or the IRS and the 87,000 new agents with guns, a lot of them knocking on your door.
00:32:57.060So I think a lot of conservatives, a lot of Republicans are keeping their mouths shut, not talking to pollsters.
00:33:08.100I think now we have gun-shy Republicans, frightened Republicans.
00:33:11.960But when it comes to the ballot box, I think they will vote in such overwhelming numbers that that will take care of the usual Democrat shenanigans.
00:33:22.920Maybe, you know, maybe I am being a Pollyanna, but I have faith that Americans can see from the way the world is crumbling around them that this is not a good place to be and that the Democrats are to blame
00:33:36.620and that the days of Donald Trump, as much as everyone screamed blue murder about what came out of his mouth or his fingertips on Twitter, he managed the country extremely well.
