00:01:55.580 fall far outside a president's official job duties. So Jack Smith is telling us then that ensuring free

00:04:56.240 they're wanting more voters to come in. They think that we'll vote for them in the long run, Luke.

00:05:05.280 here being a citizen of this great country. But the Democrats want zero solution. The only reason,

00:05:12.020 the only reason that there's any kind of conversation that that's going on with trying

00:05:38.500 James Lankford have been talking over the holidays and trying to work out something. I think they've

00:05:42.500 got something that they agree to, and they're writing a text this week, possibly could vote on it next

00:05:48.080 week. But there's nothing they could do at the border that would satisfy me, to be honest with you,

00:05:52.740 because, you know, at the end of the day, we can come up with all these solutions. They're not going

00:05:58.720 to do anything. There's laws right now to stop what they're doing, Lou. They're not going by them.

00:06:02.280 They're breaking the law, the Constitution. Joe Biden's broke laws every day. He's been in office,

00:07:57.060 very highest issues for the American people. And yet, there is no response whatsoever. There's no

00:08:04.420 change in direction by this Marxist-dim party of Democrats, and no change of policy or direction

00:08:12.240 whatsoever on the part of the Biden regime. What do you think?

00:09:30.600 he doesn't know what the hell he's doing. So we have got to have people that actually care about

00:09:34.860 this country and the people of this country. Well, you're talking about 18 endorsements out of the

00:09:39.760 Senate. Is Senator Lankford one of those endorsing the president?

00:09:43.140 You know, I don't know whether he is or not. I know that Senator Tom Cotton was the last one that

00:09:49.380 came out last week. I was the very first one because, you know, I represent Alabama and we're

00:09:53.800 strong for the Constitution and for the president, President Trump. And of course, he's up here in

00:10:00.680 D.C. today, right down the street from my office, having to go to court again because the Marxist

00:10:06.840 Democrats are going after him, trying to keep him off the ballot because they know if he wins,

00:10:10.800 he's fixing to close shop with what they're doing and they can't allow that to happen.

00:11:13.180 Schumer have come to come to agreement on. Apparently, what is the sense? Because I know

00:11:19.220 there's a lot of hostility and disappointment and frustration in the House with what Speaker Mike

00:11:25.280 Johnson did with the the triumvirate of I'll call them basically rhinos and dims.

00:11:33.340 What is the situation in the Senate on the budget agreement?

00:11:37.840 Well, first of all, Lou, when we go back home in our states, the people of this country that

00:11:42.100 actually pay the taxes and pay the bills, they want the budget cut. They want to see

00:11:46.600 see our deficit go down. Thirty four trillion dollars and lose. September the 18th, we were

00:11:51.340 thirty three trillion. And in December the 28th, we went to thirty four trillion. That's three months.

00:11:56.980 We are out of control up here. And, you know, they come up with this top line of one point,

00:12:02.240 whatever it is, six or seven trillion dollars. And it says, oh, we've got that's a six billion

00:12:08.340 dollar cut. Wait a minute. That's a drop in the bucket. We better start understanding we cannot

00:12:14.380 continue to spend like this. Evidently, they don't want to shut the government down. It's going to take

00:12:21.100 that. I'm telling you, it's going to take shutting the government down to get people's attention up

00:12:26.000 here. But I tell you, they it's it's like they saw a ghost. If you bring up, shut the government

00:12:31.840 down. And and again, we we went over, Lou, three, three, four weeks ago before we left for Christmas,

00:12:38.040 we went over for the first time. Twenty three million federal employees. Think about that. Twenty three

00:12:44.660 million. It's never been that high and it's growing every day. We have lost our minds.

00:12:48.960 Yeah. And by the way, President Biden just gave them all a big raise. Well, most Americans are

00:12:56.860 suffering right now under inflation and also a slowing economy. Let's turn to the Defense Department

00:13:14.100 telling no one what he including the president. It's just the most it's the most astounding

00:13:21.440 conduct by any secretary of defense I've ever heard of your your reaction.

00:13:27.960 Lou, you know, the big thing about the White House and their organization, it's kind of like being a head

00:13:32.680 coach. You've got assistants or if you're a CEO of a big business, you've got people that work for you.

00:13:37.460 The decency is if you have one of your top subordinates that has a problem, health problem

00:13:43.040 or whatever, you know, you call your boss and everybody up here knows that Joe Biden's out to

00:13:49.920 lunch most of the time. And I think this is a huge slap in the face to to the White House and the

00:13:55.360 President of the United States for him not to call. Now, he probably had to call somebody. But the thing

00:14:00.420 everybody shouldn't understand is he's got hundreds of people that work for him. And I'm talking about

00:14:04.820 the secretary of defense. You know, somebody should have made a call to the White House say,

00:14:09.300 hey, by the way, secretary of defense is down. He's in ICU. But there was no call. I mean,

00:14:14.000 no communication. Communication is the number one thing that drives what goes on in an organization

00:14:19.480 like the White House, the government or anything that goes on. So, again, I everybody asked me,

00:14:25.580 should he be fired? Hey, that's not my job. That job, the president of the United States. And if the

00:14:29.780 people have no confidence in Joe Biden, which I'm telling you, most people don't. I don't care if

00:14:34.100 you're Republican or Democrat. You know, he's the one that needs to go. And so hopefully in 10

00:14:39.440 months that happens. You know, Senator, as you're as you're talking, I'm thinking here we are with

00:14:45.900 a president, as you referred to out, excuse me, out to lunch. He is he's mentally impaired. He is not

00:14:53.540 a healthy man. He is not fit to be in the job. And I think everyone understands that with his

00:14:59.300 cognitive impairment, with his corruption, with his he is a compromised president. He is nothing

00:15:07.480 more than a puppet. And people, I think, truly understand that now. Then you have Lloyd Austin,

00:15:13.160 who doesn't even understand his own military chain of command or the national authority chain of

00:15:20.660 command. There are two people who have that responsibility. That's the president of the United

00:15:25.060 States. And that is the secretary of defense. And he just goes for, you know, I'm sure it was not a

00:15:30.600 pleasant walk, but a walk to a hospital and is in ICU and nobody knows about it. This is just to me,

00:15:38.900 it's just absolutely nuts. But it happens in every department. He has people who have no qualification,

00:15:44.800 no energy and no work ethic and actually have no plan to achieve anything. I think we may consider

00:15:50.760 many of those secretaries of these departments, they're sort of heroes because they are not doing

00:15:56.540 what damage they certainly could. But this is this is a pretend government, a pretend administration

00:16:04.680 and a pretend president, it seems to me, Senator. Well, we've talked about this before. This is the

00:16:11.020 most dangerous time and year in my lifetime. We've we're on the verge of three wars, which could just

00:16:17.760 catapult into something that we would be it would be devastating, not just our country, but all

00:16:23.600 countries. And and the guy that it pulls the strings for our military, 1.5 million, which I think is

00:16:32.640 we've got some good military people, but I think they've created a situation where probably the weakest

00:16:37.300 that we've been, you know, somebody has got to be in charge. And and you as you said, all of his people

00:16:43.860 that work for him, you know, the secretary of transportation is a disaster. The secretary of

00:16:48.440 Homeland Security is a disaster. You could just go on and on. But the country's kind of running

00:16:55.260 on on autopilot right now. And, you know, we we've got a constitution that we go by. The problem is

00:17:02.500 they don't go by the constitution. They break it every day. And we can't afford to continue to do that.

00:17:08.260 So November can't get here soon enough. I'm hoping that a lot of the Democrats even see this. The guy

00:17:15.060 and the people that are running this country right now are running it straight into the ground,

00:17:19.220 changing it to a fascist Marxist country with all kind of ideas that the American people don't

00:17:25.140 deserve. The American taxpayer don't deserve. We have got to turn this ship around in the right direction.

00:18:43.220 about is obviously thousands and thousands of people are coming across the border who we don't know who

00:18:48.820 they are. They're just shipping them all over our country. It's an embarrassment to know that

00:18:54.180 that that we've got an administration that doesn't really understand what's going on. But they do

00:18:58.420 understand that we're paying in three years. We've paid close to five hundred billion dollars for all

00:19:03.380 these people. Five hundred billion that we don't have. And what really gets me is I'm on the VA committee

00:19:09.380 and there's 22 million veterans in our country today. 22 million. And I go out to the VAs across the

00:19:15.620 country. And the people working in the VA say, coach, we can really only treat 11 million of

00:19:21.780 them because we don't have the facilities. And you've got to understand, Lou, the VA is the biggest

00:19:26.260 health care system in the world. So our veterans stand in line to get in. So we've really created

00:19:32.260 these community care systems in the rural areas all across the country where our veterans don't have

00:19:37.540 to drive three hours to a VA if they're not close to one, that they can go to community care and

00:19:42.660 have their care taken care of. Well, now Joe Biden has opened up the can of worms and said, hey,

00:19:48.340 we're going to allow illegals to go to those community care centers. I mean, now the VA is

00:19:56.340 back to square one. I mean, we have veterans that are not getting care. The illegals are in front of

00:20:01.940 the line now. You can't make this up. Right. You can't. And unfortunately, and as you suggested,

00:20:08.420 the crises are so many, so, so, so many of them that it's almost impossible to deal with even

00:20:16.740 one of them because all of the resources, all of the attention and the focus is dissipated across

00:20:23.860 this. What is a revolution at work? It's a quiet one. It is a stealthy revolution. And it's being

00:20:31.220 carried out by the government that wants to call Republicans and conservatives insurrectionists when

00:20:36.900 indeed they are the ones who are trying to overthrow the American way of life in this republic.

00:20:42.020 I want to turn real quickly, if I may, Senator, to The Federalist, an article that they've just come

00:20:46.900 out with. The headline is Politicos who attack Tuberville's abortion protest over military

00:20:54.020 readiness are missing in action on defense secretary's secret leave. It is a remarkable piece

00:21:02.340 in talking about all of the flack that you took for trying to stand up and succeeding to stand up for

00:21:13.060 conservative values on abortion for the military, a military that is just ignoring what is law

00:21:22.500 and what is tradition in our society. And then to know none of those people that attack you

00:21:29.140 are talking are attacking the defense secretary or the president for simply being a he was AWOL.

00:21:35.300 That's all there is to it. The secretary of defense for the first time was AWOL.

00:21:40.500 Well, the thing that for a year, you know, when I put these holes on on promotions for admirals

00:21:47.700 and generals, I thought it would last about two or three weeks that the White House would call the

00:21:51.700 Pentagon and call coach. Let's sit down. Let's work this out. And I never heard. I talked two minutes,

00:21:57.060 probably a total of two minutes to the secretary of defense, 11 months after about five months.

00:22:01.220 I'm going, hey, these people don't care. They don't care about our military. And, you know,

00:22:06.020 I start to wonder, you know, what the heck's going on here? Well, finally, Chuck Schumer says,

00:22:11.780 hey, we're just going to go around coach and we're going to drop a Senate rule and just not allow him

00:22:17.380 to put holes on this, which is only power we have when you're in the minority in the Senate.

00:22:23.140 Then I had Senator Dan Sullivan and Senator Joni Earths go on the floor of the Senate and attack me

00:22:28.900 and my character, people that are on my own side that's supposed to be for a pro-life. You know,

00:22:35.940 it was kind of embarrassing to me, but they were going to go around me. I was going to lose. I did

00:22:41.460 everything I possibly could. So eventually I had to give up their promotions. But it's just disheartening.

00:22:46.420 Now, listen, I believe in the military 100%. My dad died on active duty. He landed at Utah Beach

00:22:53.220 back on D-Day, all those things. If we don't have a strong military, we're nothing in this country.

00:22:58.260 We're nothing. And so we have got to have a strong military. But they kept fighting me saying that,

00:23:03.300 you know, we've got to get these admirals and generals. Wait a minute. You know,

00:23:06.260 you look at some of these people that are admirals and generals. First of all, we've got 44 four-star

00:23:10.820 generals. We had seven during World War II. Seven for 12 million military people. Now we only have

00:23:16.340 1.5. What the heck we need 44 four? That's just another example of bloated government. But I am for

00:23:24.740 leadership. I'm for military. We need to build it stronger. We've got some great people in our

00:23:29.300 military. We got great, some great leaders. But Lou, you know, we live, we're living in tough times,

00:23:34.740 but hey, they forced me to give up on this. But I'll be back. I'll be back. But I'm going to fight for the

00:23:40.580 military and I'm going to fight for the people of this country. And we appreciate all that you're

00:23:45.540 doing. And I know the country does. And I want to point out about Senator Joni Ernst. She is a member

00:23:52.660 of the reserves, the National Guard, a colonel in the National Guard. And she is not standing up for

00:23:59.940 veterans when she attacks Tommy Tuberville. I mean, it's just outrageous what she did and what the

00:24:06.020 Republican leadership in the Senate did. And I will tell you, we commend you and we appreciate
