Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) joins us on the Great America Show to discuss the latest developments in the Biden-Russia scandal, the Mar-A-Lago raid on President Trump's residence, and the proposed merger between the PGA and the R&A.
00:00:30.000Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs. Welcome to The Great America Show. Great to have you with us.
00:00:34.720We're now five months into the 118th Congress, and the fundamental reason this Congress is off to such a great start,
00:00:43.340the Republican conservatives who brought reform, principles, and energy to the many weighty and complex challenges they face legislatively, and, of course, politically.
00:00:54.280We'll take up some of the challenges in our conversation today with the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman Jim Jordan.
00:01:02.460But first, there are a number of news developments to bring you.
00:01:06.100Among them, Chairman Jordan is threatening more subpoenas for officials of the Biden administration
00:01:11.620for their refusal to reveal whether there was a coordinated, orchestrated effort by the Biden regime
00:01:18.440to dispatch the FBI's counterterrorism division to certain school board meetings for political purposes only.
00:01:27.600In a five-page letter sent to Biden's chief of staff, Jeff Zietz,
00:01:32.460Jordan is demanding Zietz turn over any documents that involve a pressure campaign from the White House
00:01:39.200on the FBI to go after school board parents opposing the indoctrination of their children.
00:01:46.280The chairman first sent a letter to the White House in January to then-chief of staff Ron Klain.
00:02:25.280The Committee on the Judiciary is continuing to investigate the FBI's unprecedented raid of President Trump's residence at Mar-a-Lago.
00:02:35.280We previously requested information and documents related to the raid.
00:02:40.960Because you have not provided this information, and in light of your appointment of Jack Smith,
00:02:46.740we write to request an unredacted copy of the memorandum outlining the scope of Mr. Smith's probe regarding President Trump.
00:02:56.540Chairman Jordan is requesting that information no letter than the 20th of this month.
00:03:01.160The chairman joins us in just moments, and I should say Jordan is one of the most plain-spoken and forthright representatives in all of government.
00:03:10.740But because he's an exception, so many, particularly on the Marxist left, are not.
00:13:40.800This invaluable guide will outline the precise steps you need to take immediately to transfer your IRA or 401k into precious metals, all without tax consequence.

00:14:08.080We're back now with the House Judiciary Committee Chairman, Congressman Jim Jordan.
00:14:15.540Congressman, the next steps here are critically important for the American people, for the country.
00:14:25.220Give us your sense of what it means here to have the FTC, for example, destroy documents that your committee has apparently reason to believe are pertinent to your investigation.
00:14:42.300Well, just one more example, Lou, of federal agencies being turned against the people they're supposed to serve, against the American citizen, the American taxpayer.
00:14:50.380And understand, it was the FTC when Elon Musk bought Twitter.
00:14:54.980It was the FTC who sent him 13 letters in a matter of a few months just asking him all kinds of things.
00:15:00.420One of those letters that came out after the very first Twitter files went public, one of those letters asked Twitter, who are the journalists you're talking to?
00:15:07.960I mean, as if they've never read the First Amendment, for goodness sake.
00:15:12.820So there's a harassment going on, and they're going after, I think, Twitter because Elon Musk has now embraced the First Amendment, like we all should.
00:15:24.480I think what our real focus has to be here.
00:15:27.000That's why I think the parameters put in place in this big vote last week are going to help us when we go into the appropriations process.
00:15:34.140We've got to say that American tax dollars cannot be used for certain types of things.
00:15:39.540For example, we have some jurisdictions in the Judiciary Committee over the Department of Homeland Security, particularly when it comes to immigration.
00:15:45.640But also when it comes to what they were trying to do with speech, no money can be used at DHS in any way to try to limit American speech.
00:15:55.100You can't form a disinformation governance board.
00:15:57.120No money can be used to label speech misinformation, disinformation, malinformation, all these things that the DHS does.
00:16:03.360We say, no, you can't use American tax dollars for that.
00:16:06.760And frankly, we should look at giving them less money for some of these other things that they do so that they focus on their core mission.
00:16:13.340Same thing applies with the Justice Department.
00:16:15.520Same thing applies with the FBI within the Justice Department.
00:16:17.920Those are the kind of things we have to get and push for in the appropriation process.
00:16:22.080Use the power of the purse to get the kind of policy that the American people elected us to get.
00:16:27.640And one of the things that you're going after is the investigation.
00:16:31.540You're investigating the the the federal government's political persecution of Donald Trump, if I can put it straightforwardly.
00:16:41.420And and again, you're running into very agency and departments that are stonewalling you at every turn.
00:16:50.060Yet we know, for example, Jack Smith, the special counsel that is going after Donald Trump on the at least as we understand the scope memo.
00:17:02.280The Mar-a-Lago classified documents and January 6th.
00:17:06.060And this is the same guy who allied himself with Lois Lerner and basically created the template for weaponizing the federal government against conservatives, the Republican Party.
00:17:23.160We'd like to know what what is what is exactly the mission, the objective, the scope of that investigation?
00:17:28.680What kind of crossover is there with with various agents who may have who now working on Jack Smith's investigation or some of the same people working on Crossfire Hurricane to some of the same people working the Mueller investigation?
00:17:52.720So there has been a pattern to just go after the president at any.
00:17:56.840Remember, it started with the whole Trump Russia narrative that was created by the Clinton campaign that they spied on his campaign in 2016.
00:18:03.300Then that turned into the to the Mueller investigation when the Mueller investigate.
00:18:07.720Never forget the day Mueller testified in front of Congress that July 2019.
00:18:11.900He testified and says no collusion, no conspiracy, no coordination between Trump and Russia.
00:19:05.780And the country sees it for being wrong.
00:19:08.420We just got to continue to point out the facts.
00:19:10.420And what to what degree do you think you can successfully use the power of the purse, the budget, the funding for each of these agencies, the the officials of these agencies who are on its face.
00:19:28.380They are corrupt and politically persecuting the president of the United States.
00:19:35.080Yeah, it's I think we're we've created an environment, a context and a framework where we have the best chance ever.
00:19:43.420It might come in Congress to actually have an impact on the appropriations process.
00:19:47.940We've now set a level of spending that's below last year's level of spending that hasn't that never happened in this town.
00:19:54.060And within that that level of spending, we now have to say you can't use American tax dollars for this.
00:20:13.260So those are the kind of things we are we're already working, been working with the Appropriations Committee to to get that language in the bill when it comes out of the committee, then goes to the House floor.
00:20:25.520And it's that's why we're doing these investigations so we can impact legislatively how American tax dollars are spent and protect their First Amendment liberties.
00:20:34.620We're talking with Congressman Jim Jordan.
00:20:36.880And we'll continue this discussion with the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee right after these words from our sponsor.
00:20:50.700We're back with Congressman Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and the House Subcommittee on Weaponization.
00:20:58.040Congressman Jordan, this this week, you you threatened enforcement against the so-called election integrity partner, Stanford University.
00:21:09.140Tell us what provoked that and where the investigation stands.
00:21:15.900Well, this is all part of what Matt Taibbi and Michael Selenberg called the censorship industrial complex, a very appropriate labeling of what's going on.
00:21:23.340You have big government working with big universities and big nonprofits and big tech in limiting American speech.
00:21:32.200And we have the third day of the Biden administration.
00:21:34.600We have someone in the White House sending an email to Twitter saying, hey, we think we want this tweet taken down as ASAP.
00:21:41.620And like and then you read the tweet and there's not one factual mistake in the tweet.
00:22:22.400And these are the same people who are now telling us what we can say, what we can say.
00:22:26.540They're the ones who are going to decide what's misinformation, disinformation when they use a document that was complete lies to launch an investigation into a presidential campaign.
00:22:34.820So today we have one of these university professors who's part of this effort.
00:22:41.900We've got a deposition with them today.
00:22:43.420We've done a countless number of depositions and interviews trying to get to the bottom of this and find out just how pervasive it was.
00:22:49.780Because we think everything we learned in the Twitter files that was going on at Twitter, we think it was going on at Facebook and all these other big tech companies as well.
00:22:56.460And that's what we're trying to show, just how extensive, just how broad, just how wrong this whole process was.
00:23:02.160And the farther you dig into this, the worse it looks for 2020 and the corruption of that election.
00:23:11.920And for the Dems to demand that they decided to label it denial, denialism, if you said with President Trump that it was rigged.
00:23:23.980I can't find an exception, frankly, to the rule.
00:23:26.820We're looking at the vindication of Jesse Morgan, the truck driver who took ballots across three state lines and was called a liar and a fool.
00:23:37.880But it took two and a half years and he's vindicated.
00:23:40.400We also know that CISA, the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency, that said it was a terrific election a week after, not even a week after the election.
00:23:52.240Turns out they didn't even investigate it, had no idea of what they're talking about.
00:23:56.300And it turns out that all of those electronic machines, not all of them, but many of them, had vulnerabilities.
00:24:01.940And that was discovered by one of the leading experts on electronic voting in the country, as well as computer science.
00:24:10.480And that report has been held back, even though it exposed nine vulnerabilities to those voting machines.
00:24:17.540And by the way, this only comes to light a year and a half after that statement, a week after the election.
00:24:24.080It turns out that remains under seal in the desk, presumably, or a vault of the federal judge in Atlanta, Georgia.
00:24:36.700Yeah, well, this is one of the agencies that we think is involved in this whole censorship industrial complex concept as well.
00:24:43.700So someone that we're interested in talking to folks who are there.
00:24:49.480But it's all part of this effort to suppress speech.
00:24:52.980And it's the scariest thing I see going on in our government, that you're going to have the government label what Americans can say, what they can't say, what they can post, what they can share online.
00:25:02.900I mean, this is frightening, as if some bureaucrat in the Department of Homeland Security working for the Disinformation Governance Board is equipped to say what's appropriate, first and then the free speech, what isn't.
00:25:16.800But that is exactly where things are headed.
00:25:19.400You had, as I said before, you had the FBI meeting regularly with big tech out in San Francisco in the run-up to the 2020 election, telling them to be on the lookout for a hack and leak operation.
00:25:30.600They were pre-bunking the Hunter Biden story, the laptop story.
00:25:42.800How backwards and upside down is that world?
00:25:45.480But that is the world that we're trying to expose so that it doesn't happen anymore in our country.
00:25:50.680Well, I shudder to think where we'd be right now if the 118th Congress was not led by the Republicans and Jim Jordan and Jim Comer and the Speaker McCarthy.
00:26:08.220This is just a moment in history that could have turned even worse.
00:26:14.100It's ugly now, but I assure you, ladies and gentlemen, without the GOP leadership of the 118th Congress, we would be, I don't know, I don't even want to think where we would be.
00:26:26.200Congressman, I want to just ask you to clarify one thing for me if I can impose for just a few seconds.
00:26:30.620A short question on the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency.
00:26:38.100You said that that is a focus of interest.
00:26:41.320Can you tell us where you are with that?
00:26:45.360Yeah, I believe we've sent some letters there asking them some of the same questions about concerning censorship and the role of CISA in this.
00:26:53.900Again, what we've called the complex or what we've called, I think Jonathan Turley called it censorship by surrogate, where governments pressuring tech companies and other folks to take on certain content.
00:27:06.600So it's just part of that broader investigation.
00:27:08.400And it's one of those agencies that have popped up that we're interested in.
00:27:12.780And we've, I think, reached out with some letters looking for some information.
00:27:18.320Congressman, as always, we appreciate your time.
00:27:21.100And thank you so much for your leadership in these critically important investigations.
00:27:39.740Here tomorrow, our guest is Congressman James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee investigating Biden corruption stonewalled by the Biden regime.
00:27:49.440And now Chairman Comer is charging FBI Director Chris Wray with contempt of Congress for failing to honor a subpoena to deliver a critical and unclassified document to the Oversight Committee.
00:28:02.240We hope you'll join us for all that and more.
00:28:04.660You can follow me on social media at Lou Dobbs on True Social and Twitter.
