00:00:33.580 Hello, everybody, and welcome to The Great America Show.
00:00:36.760 Thanks for being with us.
00:00:38.420 Marxist rogue FBI agents and deep state actors running for the hills.
00:00:43.760 Those same folks have worked to undermine democracy and persecute President Trump over the last nine years.
00:00:51.440 Former FBI chief Andrew McCade on CNN this week says he's terrified of the return of President Trump to the White House and says that some FBI agents are even thinking of fleeing the country.
00:01:06.080 Good, I say.
00:01:07.600 Here he is.
00:01:08.800 It's terrifying.
00:01:10.140 It's frightening.
00:01:10.920 I have a lot of conversations with former colleagues, people who are or were in the intelligence and law enforcement community and may have worked in, you know, the Obama administration and other places.
00:01:24.920 And, you know, people are really trying to assess, like, what is life going to be like if Donald Trump wins a second term?
00:01:31.120 And on a very personal level, I mean, these are torturous discussions with their family members about whether or not they have to leave the country to avoid being unconstitutionally and illegally detained.
00:01:43.660 I mean, people are actually worried about being thrown in jail or grabbed in some sort of extrajudicial detention.
00:01:50.600 And I think, you know, as crazy as this sounds in the United States of America, I think people should really consider that these are possibilities.
00:01:59.340 Listen to what the man says.
00:02:01.020 He typically does what he says, as crazy as it seems.
00:02:05.320 And that's really all the indicators you need.
00:02:07.640 That's evidence of a very guilty conscience of a very conflicted fellow.
00:02:12.740 If these folks did nothing wrong, what is there to flee?
00:02:16.620 What's the problem?
00:02:17.880 The truth of the matter is these people need to be held accountable for all of the destruction of this country.
00:02:25.420 A new piece out this week from the Wall Street Journal blockbuster reporting that behind closed doors, Joe Biden is even worse off than we see on camera.
00:02:34.640 Sources close to the puppet president say he struggles to speak audibly at times and has to read off note cards to get through conversations.
00:02:44.600 Even a stark contrast from his leading opponent, President Donald Trump.
00:02:50.400 Our guest today is one of the nation's leading senators in holding the Biden administration to account.
00:02:56.640 He's Senator Eric Schmidt of the great state of Missouri.
00:03:00.340 And now, Senator Eric Schmidt, and I have to say thanks for being with us here today, and it's great to see you.
00:03:08.140 I would just like to start with all that is going on here.
00:03:11.300 I'm going to begin, if I may, with a takeout in the Wall Street Journal this morning.
00:03:16.160 Center page, front, above the fold, all about Biden's incapacity to be in the job he now has.
00:03:24.900 Your thoughts about the fact that both parties now are talking about his infirmity, his cognitive impairment.
00:03:33.460 Well, I think it's obvious that he's in a diminished capacity.
00:03:38.160 And I really don't, as a human being, I don't take any pleasure in pointing that out.
00:03:43.400 It's just a reality.
00:03:44.560 And it's a very, the president of the United States is a very tough job.
00:03:47.260 It's a very demanding job.
00:03:48.420 It requires a lot of energy, a lot of capability, a lot of mental acuity, and he doesn't have that.
00:03:55.160 And I think that, Lou, that's not going to get any better for him.
00:03:58.600 There's a few realities that he's not going to be able to change between now and Election Day.
00:04:02.660 You know, the crushing inflation, the crisis at the border, and his diminished capacity in his age.
00:04:09.640 That's not going to improve.
00:04:11.260 I think it's the American people, you know, sort of underlying a lot of the polls with their dissatisfaction.
00:04:17.440 There's an underlying kind of belief that he's not up to the job.
00:04:21.240 And I think that's going to play out in November.
00:04:23.220 The American people have made it pretty clear they're aware of his impairment.
00:04:27.600 What is not clear is why the national corporate media are pretending that he is perfectly fine, no matter how many times he stumbles across a stage or up a ladder going on to Air Force One or loses his place in a teleprompter read.
00:04:46.980 What do you think of the fact they won't even acknowledge that reality, let alone tell the truth on so many issues?
00:04:54.040 Well, I think there's two reasons for it.
00:04:55.500 One is journalism in many ways is dead.
00:05:00.040 These have essentially become advocates with keyboards, and they're pushing the regime's narrative all the time.
00:05:07.340 The second piece of that is Trump derangement syndrome.
00:05:10.200 I think these folks are, you know, many of them are broken.
00:05:13.120 COVID and Trump broke a lot of these people, and they can't conceptually put their minds around the idea that Donald Trump's going to be the 47th president of the United States,
00:05:23.160 and they're willing to do anything, including hide information for the American people, is what sort of their job is, right, to speak truth to power.
00:05:32.180 They won't do it because they're covering for Joe Biden because they want to, you know, they just despise President Trump so much.
00:05:38.300 And the Trump derangement syndrome, I know that a lot of people, and perhaps yourself, consider that a real thing.
00:05:49.000 I think of it as a device, a subterfuge on the part of the Marxist left in this country.
00:05:54.720 As they talk about him, they gin up all sorts of disinformation, outright lies about this president and ignore entirely the fact that he was one of the most successful presidents in one term in American history.
00:06:13.420 That's right. And not only do they deny the success that President Trump had and his administration had, it's also in many ways, Lou, an extension of their kind of disdain they have for real America, right?
00:06:32.440 And in many ways, they're passing judgment on everybody who would support him or defend him or vote for him.
00:06:39.440 I mean, it's the it's the basket of deplorables, right, that Hillary Clinton talked about.
00:06:43.880 I mean, this is the same theme.
00:06:46.620 They they they they look down on people and, you know, places around from Missouri flyover country, right, where there's a lot of common sense.
00:06:54.140 They just don't understand how people could support someone like President Trump.
00:06:57.780 And so it plays out in so many different ways.
00:07:01.300 I think that's just that's sort of a reality of the situation.
00:07:03.940 And also, you're right.
00:07:07.500 They can't even hide it anymore.
00:07:09.620 I mean, one of the things social media has been good for is sort of exposing these so-called journalists like a ticket, Dan Rather, for example.
00:07:17.260 I mean, this guy was presented to me, I'm 48, so growing up in the 1980s and watching, you know, whether it's a CBS Evening News or Nightly News or whatever, you know, when you didn't have the diffusion of information, when you watch this, you were presented that Dan Rather was like this objective journalist.
00:07:32.460 Well, we all know that's not true.
00:07:34.100 We kind of knew there was bias before, but it's been on full display and supercharged on steroids now with these folks.
00:07:41.000 And so that's why I think that pretending that they're objective journalists is a total joke.
00:07:44.820 It's a total joke.
00:07:47.780 And unfortunately, the joke is on.
00:07:49.940 One other point on that, I think that I think is worth making, because we're about to enter this phase of the campaign where all Joe Biden has is fear mongering and scare tactics.
00:08:01.680 Right.
00:08:02.160 So getting back to this Trump arrangement syndrome, all they have left is to try to scare the bejesus out of the American people to say that, you know, President Trump's going to end democracy.
00:08:11.260 And, you know, all of this nonsense.
00:08:13.720 The truth is, President Trump didn't go after Hillary Clinton and weaponize the DOJ.
00:08:18.680 He didn't do that.
00:08:20.600 In many ways, you know, you've got the Democrats now who have fully weaponized, you know, the legal system to their benefit.
00:08:28.460 They've censored millions of Americans.
00:08:30.980 So all these things that they claim President Trump was going to do or is going to do, they're doing all of them.
00:08:36.940 And I think the American people are waking up to this reality that this isn't your grandfather's Democrat party anymore.
00:08:42.980 These folks, they're dominated by the left and they're hellbent on power and control.
00:08:48.840 And that's their total ethos.
00:08:50.180 And control and power is precisely what they're trying to preserve.
00:08:56.240 President Biden, obviously, is nothing more than a puppet.
00:08:58.840 And the Obama acolytes, perhaps Obama himself, who are gathered together to manage Joe Biden and the agenda, they don't want to lose that very safe enclave they've created at the White House.
00:09:16.140 And at the top of our government, one of the most amazing frauds is Mayorkas, Alejandro Mayorkas, the DHS secretary, saying that we've been doing a great job on the border.
00:09:30.760 There is it's perfectly secure border, even as millions of illegal aliens were being invited into the country across that perfectly secure border.
00:09:38.980 I think it may be more secure if you include the fact that Joe Biden turned that border over to the Mexican drug cartels for sex trafficking, deadly drugs, you name it, illegal aliens.
00:09:52.340 Excuse me.
00:09:53.820 But so now suddenly he is bragging about what he's going to do to secure the border with five months remaining in the year to Election Day.
00:10:04.760 Give us your sense of what in the world he's thinking, his strategists are thinking, because it looks preposterous.
00:10:13.420 Well, it strikes me if you draw some analogy, like an arsonist who sets a major building ablaze and then shows up to put out the fire with a garden hose.
00:10:20.360 Right. It's it's it's a joke.
00:10:23.060 And you you hit it a nail on the head.
00:10:25.900 You got to go back.
00:10:26.780 It literally at the end of 2020, the end of President Trump's term, we had the most secure border we have had in 45 years.
00:10:35.840 OK, that's that's the reality that Joe Biden was inheriting.
00:10:38.960 But again, this this sense of undoing everything that was Trump dominated the thinking at the White House.
00:10:46.940 And what did they do?
00:10:48.500 They Joe Biden instituted about 100 executive orders undoing all of those successes.
00:10:54.760 And they didn't hide it like they bragged about it.
00:10:57.420 Myorkis was on national TV bragging about this.
00:11:00.700 And so, you know, the party is a full blown open borders party now.
00:11:04.340 This is what they want.
00:11:05.880 They view, you know, they they laugh at American sovereignty.
00:11:09.620 They view these borders as sort of these artificial lines that divide world citizens from, you know, taxpayer funded benefits in America.
00:11:17.880 And so this is what they want.
00:11:19.720 And here we are now, 10 million illegal immigrants later, fentanyl destroying communities and lives all across this country.
00:11:28.680 The cartels are running the show.
00:11:31.020 We have a real national security problem now.
00:11:33.720 They're terrorists in this country because they know there is a way for you from anywhere in the world, including Chinese nationals.
00:11:40.000 Now we've seen a record number, a 7000 percent increase in Chinese nationals entering across our southern border.
00:11:46.780 So, you know, we have only begun to feel the impacts of what this means.
00:11:52.560 And so they opened it up.
00:11:55.500 This is their problem.
00:11:56.840 And the idea that he's going to have this executive order now that normalizes a million people a year, you know, at a minimum, a million people.
00:12:04.320 And I think it's important to point out, Lou, historically, the policy of the United States of America among Republican and Democrat administrations typically was if you come here illegally, you're detained.
00:12:15.120 And then you are deported unless you have a reason to stay that is recognized by the court system, like asylum.
00:12:23.680 Nine out of 10 asylum claims are typically rejected.
00:12:26.300 So that had been our system forever.
00:12:29.040 Not anymore.
00:12:30.240 They've laid waste to that.
00:12:31.800 And so the cartels now know that they've got free reign to bring millions and millions of people here illegally and all the problems that come with that.
00:12:38.500 So they got what they wanted.
00:12:40.420 And whatever this executive order does, it doesn't solve the problem.
00:12:43.940 And it also, by the way, excludes people who come here by way of the app or unaccompanied children, which is insane because completely opens the door and keeps the door open, I should say, for the cartels to traffic kids.
00:13:00.340 Yeah, it's to the point, this partnership between the Biden regime and the cartels.
00:13:06.200 It's to the point now that one wouldn't be surprised to learn that Joe Biden is getting his customary 10 percent of all of the proceeds from trafficking, from illegal aliens, from deadly drugs.
00:13:19.400 We're talking with Eric Smith, senator of the great state of Missouri.
00:13:23.780 We're going to come right back as we continue the conversation.
00:13:27.180 Please stay with us.
00:13:28.120 Folks, you know, I beg everyone to get ready for the next crisis.
00:13:33.260 And when it comes, our lives will likely change overnight, whether it's natural disaster, war or another disease.
00:13:40.880 We have to be ready as we can be.
00:13:43.020 We saw what happened in 2020 when we found ourselves dependent on global supply chains.
00:13:47.880 We're still dependent on China and other countries for more than 90 percent of all our pharmaceuticals.
00:13:53.320 With clusters of respiratory illnesses popping up around the world and here, we need to be prepared.
00:13:59.460 And now is the time to make certain you have what your family needs when the next crisis hits.

00:15:00.240 Prepare today.
00:15:01.380 Be ready tomorrow.
00:15:04.720 We're back.
00:15:05.780 We're talking with Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri.
00:15:08.780 And I just have to say, this is a moment in politics I didn't think any of us would be sharing, frankly, because to think we have an administration that has declared the American people to be their public enemy number one, the government itself is weaponized against Americans, at least of one party.
00:15:28.500 And I don't hear the Republicans talking particularly aggressively about what we face here, which is a government weaponized, despite having the weaponized subcommittee.
00:15:40.180 It's just we just don't seem to be hearing the Republican Party talk about how serious the assault is on America itself, our values, our heritage and our and our future.
00:15:53.600 Well, listen, I think leadership requires sort of recognizing the moment that you're in, having the courage to speak out about it and then lead with some solutions right on how to fix it.
00:16:07.840 And there is no doubt, Lou, we've we are not we're not arguing anymore with Democrats about what the marginal tax rate should be.
00:16:16.380 Those are not the debates that we're really having in this country right now.
00:16:19.460 The Democrats want to fundamentally change this country forever.
00:16:23.580 And, you know, I mean, if they ever had power of both the Senate, the House and the presidency again, I mean, they have stated people are campaigning on this, by the way, which is to say that they would end the filibuster.
00:16:34.140 They pack the Supreme Court.
00:16:35.320 They would add states to the union, which, of course, then add senators to the chamber.
00:16:42.060 They would federalize our elections and they would have open borders and amnesty.
00:16:45.020 That's the world that they want everyone to live in.
00:16:48.020 And so I think so we have to understand that this is we're living in a different time right now.
00:16:55.220 And I think that we have to have, again, the courage to fight back because they mean business.
00:17:00.740 They are not messing around.
00:17:01.860 Look, I'll just give you one example.
00:17:02.980 So I've been in the Senate for a year and a half.
00:17:04.380 I was attorney general before that.
00:17:05.560 I got here in the history of our republic, Lou.
00:17:08.660 There have been there are 23 impeachments that came over from the House of Representatives.
00:17:12.800 In every instance, in every instance, we've lived in difficult times, civil war.
00:17:18.220 You know, there's a lot of things that have happened in this country.
00:17:20.720 Every instance, there has been a trial in the United States Senate.
00:17:23.820 Now, there could be an acquittal and there could be a removal.
00:17:26.400 We've had a trial.
00:17:27.320 Chuck Schumer just decided, yep, we don't want to do the trial.
00:17:31.220 So they voted among party lines to not have a trial.
00:17:33.560 Like, that's the level of control that they want to have and just blow away any norms or the Constitution or any laws that we have.
00:17:41.640 I think you've articulated powerfully the motivation of the Marxist Dems who control the Democrat Party, a power control, of course.
00:17:53.340 But I don't hear the motivation of the Republican Party in a rejoinder, a rebuttal, or just a response with some significant energy and purpose to what the assault is by the left.
00:18:09.460 And if there were a time, to your point, these are extraordinary times in which we live.
00:18:15.560 A critical election is before us five months out.
00:18:18.480 And I just hear too little from the Republicans.
00:18:24.560 Well, you know, I'm certainly trying to do everything that I can.
00:18:27.880 It's one of the reasons why, again, look, there's one other example of this is this divisive and discriminatory DEI, right?
00:18:36.280 They push it in the military, which has been, you know, a great meritocracy where people from any background or walk-alive can have ticker tape parades in New York because they're war heroes.
00:18:45.400 Right.
00:18:46.080 It's hurting recruiting.
00:18:46.960 And so I'm on the Armed Services Committee, the Secretary of the Navy.
00:18:50.040 I said, listen, you're talking about, you know, you have, first of all, you fired 5,000 people who, because they didn't get the COVID shot, you're driving away recruits through this divisive DEI policy.
00:19:03.460 And you're here to tell us that you don't think that has affected our readiness as a military.
00:19:07.480 But, again, they're being captured by this ideology.
00:19:10.640 And it's way more important than them to virtue signal and to act like they care more than to, you know, believe in and support the things that have made this country great.
00:19:20.800 It is ultimately an assault on America.
00:19:22.980 It's an assault on American ideas.
00:19:24.400 It's an assault on merit.
00:19:25.220 And if we don't stop them, if we don't defund this kind of stuff, if we don't push back, this is the slow march to kind of tyranny.
00:19:33.280 I think, Lou, COVID exposed a lot of this in many ways.
00:19:37.680 I do think there are more and more people waking up.
00:19:39.880 COVID exposed this just desire for them to aggregate and exercise power.
00:19:44.620 Look at the vaccine.
00:19:46.020 You know, you had OSHA, which was an agency created to make sure forklifts people with their backup, was trying to force a medical procedure on 100 million people.
00:19:54.360 And if you didn't do it, you were going to be fired and lose your job and your livelihood and your family would suffer.
00:19:59.780 This is nuts.
00:20:00.700 And, you know, when I was AG, we pushed back.
00:20:02.860 We filed a lawsuit to stop it.
00:20:04.240 It went to the Supreme Court.
00:20:05.020 We won the Missouri versus Biden lawsuit that I initiated on this vast censorship enterprise.
00:20:09.660 We fought.
00:20:10.060 We fought on that.
00:20:10.900 We won so far.
00:20:11.900 It's in front of the Supreme Court.
00:20:12.760 So, again, to your point, we have got to be a place.
00:20:16.000 We've got to be a party.
00:20:16.960 We've got to be people who are going to fight back because we love this country and we want our kids to have the same opportunities that we had and live in a society where we value individual rights and not this collectivist mentality.
00:20:28.580 We're talking with Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri.
00:20:34.000 We are going to continue the conversation right after these quick words.
00:20:37.600 Stay with us.
00:20:38.080 We'll be right back.
00:20:39.060 I promise.

00:21:55.360 We're back with Senator Eric Schmidt and Senator Fauci put on quite a performance this week before the House Subcommittee on the Coronavirus, part of the House Oversight Committee.
00:22:09.700 He was assailed for his lack of character and his presumptions to pursue, to your two words, power and control over NIH and the country's public health agencies and policies.
00:22:28.480 Your thoughts about how he fared before that questioning in the House Committee?
00:22:35.120 Well, I think the American people were reminded of what a total and complete fraud Anthony Fauci is.
00:22:41.920 I mean, if there was a statue or if there was a Mount Rushmore of like, you know, these folks in COVID who were the real villains, I mean, Fauci's on there.
00:22:50.860 And it's much deeper than people realize.
00:22:53.420 As I mentioned, I filed that Missouri versus Biden lawsuit.
00:22:55.940 We took the deposition of Anthony Fauci in that.
00:22:58.120 So I saw it firsthand and behind closed doors in a deposition in that lawsuit.
00:23:03.800 I mean, he was all in on this stuff.
00:23:06.080 And it was so phony, too, Lou.
00:23:07.500 I mean, we pulled out an email in that deposition of when we asked him about masks and him saying how effective they were.
00:23:14.280 We pulled out an email early on in 2020 where a friend asked him, hey, I'm getting on a plane.
00:23:19.180 Should I wear a mask or not?
00:23:20.240 And he's like, no, masks don't work.
00:23:21.940 You don't need to wear a mask.
00:23:22.940 And then, of course, like literally a couple weeks later, they were going to, you know, prevent you from getting COVID, just like they told us the vaccine was going to prevent us from getting COVID.
00:23:33.560 That was a lie.
00:23:35.420 So all along the way, I mean, this guy had way too much authority.
00:23:39.020 I mean, there were Fauci candles.
00:23:40.740 I mean, people were worshiping in the altar of Anthony Fauci.
00:23:43.400 It was nuts.
00:23:44.560 And we can never let that happen again.
00:23:46.080 We can't because it's really dangerous road to go down to give somebody like that that much influence and authority.
00:23:52.020 But that's where we were.
00:23:54.040 I mean, he admitted also, as he was testifying, that they just made up the six feet social distancing thing.
00:24:00.760 Right.
00:24:00.920 And remember, if you were if you were if you violated that, you were ostracized.
00:24:05.080 If you didn't have a vaccine card, you couldn't travel.
00:24:07.440 If you didn't have a mask on, you couldn't see your, you know, you couldn't see a loved one dying in a nursing home.
00:24:12.620 Right.
00:24:13.220 I mean, this was totally insane.
00:24:15.260 And Fauci, again, I think, just reminded people how smug he is, how arrogant he is, how wrong he's been for a long time.
00:24:22.680 And to the point, we're watching people die in nursing homes because of the ventilators and assorted other causes.
00:24:33.500 But nonetheless, the prescription was wrong.
00:24:36.840 There was very little concern on the part of the establishment medical community to actually treat COVID-19.
00:24:45.320 It was all about vaccination.
00:24:47.860 It was and they dismissed ivermectin, for example, which India used to great effect.
00:24:56.980 It was probably what saved them a greater contagion.
00:24:59.900 But the misinformation, the lies that came out of the medical community and the public health establishment and the public health agencies is there's never really been a finding as to how bad it was.
00:25:16.400 And no one, to my knowledge, to this day, has been held accountable.
00:25:21.480 Yeah, I think.
00:25:22.360 Yeah, I think.
00:25:22.980 For a pension or anything.
00:25:24.340 Yeah, I think, you know, if Republicans take the Senate, one of the things we ought to do, we ought to have a January 6th-like committee on COVID.
00:25:34.740 And people ought to be held accountable.
00:25:36.440 They destroyed lives.
00:25:37.840 And many lives were lost because of these terrible decisions.
00:25:40.340 And they knew better.
00:25:41.180 They had the information.
00:25:42.240 Or they didn't just admit they were making it up.
00:25:44.040 Got to remember, they were roping off playgrounds, you know, bulldozing skate parks.
00:25:50.840 I mean, people weren't allowed on beaches.
00:25:54.560 I mean, this was like took us back centuries and how people view lockdowns and things like that, you know.
00:26:00.400 But they did it with such arrogance.
00:26:02.680 And if you dared to question the regime's narrative, you were ostracized.
00:26:06.300 People lost their medical licenses, right?
00:26:08.980 The whole idea, I mean, Fauci proclaimed to be the science.
00:26:12.480 Science requires constantly challenging assumptions, constantly, you know, testing and retesting and challenging and not accepting things and moving forward.
00:26:23.940 Not saying, you know, just everybody being ostracized or censored because they had a dissenting view.
00:26:32.340 And that's what we were living with.
00:26:34.100 And, you know, and even the origins of COVID, right?
00:26:36.700 I mean, Fauci, what came across that deposition, he was asked about it also.
00:26:40.480 So Fauci knew that they were in a gain of function research was disfavored.
00:26:47.040 It wasn't supposed to be funded.
00:26:48.240 He went around that by this funding, this eco health alliance that was ultimately funding what was going on in the Wuhan lab.
00:26:56.140 Fauci knew that and he knew if that ever got out, people would blame him.
00:27:00.020 So what did he do?
00:27:01.320 He cooked the books on this thing, said it was a conspiracy theory.
00:27:05.240 Anybody that talked about it was a racist.
00:27:07.300 I mean, this is the level of deception that they employed, again, to smear into other the other ring of their enemies.
00:27:15.440 And that's what they were doing.
00:27:17.020 And so, you know, Fauci, that's why I said this guy's a total and complete fraud.
00:27:21.640 He's still giving commencement addresses at these liberal elite universities, which I find amazing.
00:27:26.440 But I think the American people have caught on to it.
00:27:30.080 And, again, we can never let this happen again.
00:27:32.520 We just can't.
00:27:34.520 Universities, and I couldn't agree with you more, Senator.
00:27:37.400 Universities, campuses, colleges all over the country, rampaging anti-Semitism.
00:27:46.520 It has been a sudden and shocking development, as if it just sprung, you know, suddenly from the student minds at those universities.
00:27:58.220 But we know better.
00:27:59.060 We know that the Chinese have been funding some of the protests, pro-Hamas protests.
00:28:05.040 We know further that we have a real problem in this country on our campuses because the university leadership, chancellors, presidents, boards of trustees, you name it, were slow to, in almost every instance, slow to react, to respond.
00:28:22.840 And we've got a real problem because, at the same time, the Biden administration is attacking free speech like no other, including Barack Obama.
00:28:33.500 Our establishment universities and academia are just sitting there, it seems, hogtied, paralyzed by the prospect that they might be considered somehow retro or regressive by their peers to actually say, you know, genocide is a bad idea.
00:28:52.400 You can actually say that out loud.
00:28:54.580 Yeah.
00:28:54.860 Well, and I, you know, people that have been paying attention to this shouldn't be all that surprised about the anti-Semitism that took hold or has taken hold of on college campuses and beyond.
00:29:07.700 Because here's the thing.
00:29:09.140 If you push this divisive DEI ideology, which is what's happened, and now it's in grade schools with critical race theory, it's all under the umbrella of this cultural Marxism that seeks to divide people by race.
00:29:19.480 It's race essentialism, right?
00:29:21.000 It's the only thing that matters.
00:29:22.340 You divide the room by the oppressor and the oppressed.
00:29:26.640 And anybody that's brought into this needs to go through their own sort of struggle session.
00:29:31.660 It is classic Marxism.
00:29:34.720 I mean, it didn't really work in this country from an economic perspective as they pushed this ideology because people still believed that, you know, you could come from any walk of life and achieve great things.
00:29:44.400 So this idea of merit ultimately took hold, right?
00:29:47.040 People believe in a meritocracy.
00:29:49.400 Well, if you try to undercut the underpinnings of that, right, and that your success depends solely on your race or your failures solely on your race, I mean, you help destroy all of that and the idea of America.
00:30:01.340 And that's the point of all this.
00:30:02.860 And so is it really that surprising that you see this anti-Americanism on college campuses?
00:30:07.540 Is it really that surprising you see this anti-Semitism when the Jews are lower on the totem pole than Hamas because of their skin color?
00:30:17.480 Right?
00:30:17.920 That's what this comes down to.
00:30:19.040 They're the colonizer, which is, by the way, historical amnesia to a level, to a degree that, you know, is hard to sort of talk about.
00:30:28.800 But that's what we're left with.
00:30:31.180 And so it is fundamentally important for us to root out this divisive ideology in our education system.
00:30:37.940 And I think the way you do it, Lou, and not just diagnosing the problem, but a solution is let's get back to civics.
00:30:42.920 Let's get back to what the American idea was.
00:30:44.920 These things unify us.
00:30:46.220 The idea that we have a mission statement in the Declaration of Independence, that all people are created equal, and we're always constantly trying to live up to this, and that you can achieve, you can pursue your dreams, that we believe in individual rights.
00:30:58.920 And our Constitution creates a framework for protecting dissenting views and, you know, the separation of powers, which diffuses power to protect us from this aggregation of power.
00:31:09.360 Those things can bring us together.
00:31:10.860 But guess what are the things that are dismissed?
00:31:12.640 Those things are dismissed.
00:31:13.720 And the only thing a lot of people know about some of the founding fathers is that maybe they own slaves.
00:31:18.700 Like, that's the stuff that we have to push back against to sort of bring this country together.
00:31:23.500 But, you know, this going, continuing to go down this road of DEI, diversity, equity, inclusion, so-called diversity, equity, inclusion.
00:31:29.360 One thing that's not included in diversity is diversity of thought, because on these college campuses, there are no conservative voices.
00:31:35.460 In fact, if they're even allowed on the back bench, that would be unusual.
00:31:40.640 They're just usually not allowed to speak.
00:31:42.300 Right.
00:31:42.700 Right.
00:31:43.420 Absolutely.
00:31:44.620 It's been great talking with you, Senator.
00:31:46.580 And we thank you very much for your time and your thoughts.
00:31:50.280 Appreciate it.
00:31:51.020 Anytime, Lou.
00:31:52.160 I've been watching you for years.
00:31:54.160 You do a great job.
00:31:55.200 And thanks for your voice, too.
00:31:56.980 Thanks so much for all you're doing, Senator.
00:31:58.800 Thank you.
00:31:59.260 Take care.
00:31:59.940 Eric Smith.
00:32:00.820 God bless.
00:32:01.300 Thanks to Senator Eric Smith.

00:32:26.420 Thank you.
