00:01:22.240 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs and welcome to The Great America Show.

00:01:26.080 Thank you for being with us.

00:01:27.940 We begin today with what is an alarming story coming out of Cleveland, Ohio.

00:01:32.940 This month, nearly 50 school children have disappeared.

00:01:36.160 Just this month, 50 children have gone missing in Cleveland.

00:01:40.540 Well, more than a thousand children have gone missing just so far this year in the Cleveland area.

00:01:46.240 Police say that number is unusually high this year and they're concerned those kids are being trafficked

00:01:51.880 or brought into gang activity.

00:01:53.740 In 2022, Ohio had nearly double the number of missing children,

00:01:59.160 as did the states of Georgia, North Carolina, and Illinois,

00:02:02.300 all states with very similar levels of population.

00:02:05.920 Law enforcement say they simply don't have the manpower to investigate and to go after gangs and traffickers.

00:02:12.900 Meanwhile, more children go missing, it seems, every day in Ohio.

00:02:19.180 Turning now to an alarming story in Washington, D.C., of a different sort.

00:02:24.060 House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has released new evidence

00:02:27.460 against the Biden crime family ahead of his first impeachment inquiry hearing today.

00:02:32.160 The House Oversight Committee reports that Hunter Biden received two bank wire transfers

00:02:37.180 totaling $260,000 in 2019.

00:02:41.320 That money, wired from Hunter's Chinese business partners to President Joe Biden's home address,

00:02:47.620 which was listed as the beneficiary address for the funds.

00:02:51.500 Chairman Comer says Hunter Biden wasn't living at his father's address at the time

00:02:55.980 and that this is just a small piece of compelling evidence to come.

00:03:00.440 On the wire that Hunter Biden received from the Chinese national, 0.97

00:03:04.820 the beneficiary address listed was Joe Biden's home address

00:03:09.680 at a time where I'm pretty certain Hunter Biden was not living in the home of Joe Biden.

00:03:16.520 But if you if you go back even further than that,

00:03:19.400 this Jonathan Lee, who wired the $260,000 from China to Hunter Biden's personal account,

00:03:27.020 he is part of the Chinese Communist Party.

00:03:31.400 He is is a huge business person in China with a Chinese backed entity that funds investments in the United States.

00:03:40.980 So what the the one issue in Congress that Democrats and Republicans agree on is we don't want China 0.99

00:03:46.760 taking over industries important to our national security.

00:03:50.140 We won't China buying farmland.

00:03:51.980 This is the guy that does that. Jonathan Lee is the person who represents China.

00:03:56.520 And if you research it, Joe Biden met with Jonathan Lee.

00:04:00.180 He wrote a letter of recommendation for his child to get into college in the United States.

00:04:05.680 There is a relationship that was developed between Joe Biden and Jonathan Lee when he was vice president.

00:04:10.580 And now we have evidence that Jonathan Lee, who Joe Biden said his son never took any money from,

00:04:18.140 said his son never took any money from China.

00:04:19.980 Joe Hunter Biden's lawyer said that Hunter never received any money from this guy.

00:04:24.160 We have evidence that he received over a quarter of a million dollars.

00:04:27.360 And the address listed on the wire was Joe Biden's personal residence.

00:04:32.500 The Biden crime family never ceases to surprise us.

00:04:35.560 In 2020, Joe Biden was on a debate stage with President Donald Trump.

00:04:40.320 And he was asked directly by the Marxist Dem moderator about Hunter's foreign business dealings.

00:04:46.940 Joe said he knew nothing about that, even though a wire had been sent with his address on it just a year before.

00:04:54.320 Instead, Biden tried to point the blame at President Trump.

00:04:58.560 There have been questions about the work your son has done in China and for a Ukrainian energy company

00:05:03.660 when you were vice president, in retrospect, was anything about those relationships inappropriate or unethical?

00:05:10.000 Nothing was unethical.

00:05:11.440 Here's what the deal.

00:05:13.500 With regard to Ukraine, we had this whole question about whether or not, because he was on the board,

00:05:19.720 I later learned of a Burisma, a company, that somehow I had done something wrong.

00:05:25.380 Yet every single solitary person when he was going through his impeachment,

00:05:29.220 testifying under oath to work for him, said, I did my job impeccably.

00:05:34.680 I carried out U.S. policy.

00:05:36.940 Not one single solitary thing was out of line.

00:05:40.600 Not a single thing.

00:05:42.220 Number one.

00:05:43.080 Number two.

00:05:44.040 The guy who got in trouble in Ukraine was this guy trying to bribe the Ukrainian government

00:05:49.000 to say something negative about me, which they would not do and did not do,

00:05:53.860 because it never, ever, ever happened.

00:05:56.100 My son has not made money in terms of this thing about, what are you talking about, China.

00:06:03.300 I have not had it.

00:06:04.520 The only guy who made money from China is this guy.

00:06:07.440 He's the only one.

00:06:08.700 Nobody else has made money from China.

00:06:10.160 And Joe Biden maintains he's not a crook.

00:06:14.420 Well, the House of Representatives, led by RINO Speaker Kevin McCarthy,

00:06:18.540 has broken something of a logjam.

00:06:20.480 The House Tuesday voted to advance four conservative spending bills to the floor for a vote.

00:06:26.700 Those four bills include a defense bill, a homeland security bill, an agriculture bill,

00:06:32.700 as well as a state foreign operations bill.

00:06:36.420 What most people don't realize is some of those bills were passed out of the Appropriations Committee

00:06:41.260 more than three months ago.

00:06:44.180 Take, for example, the border bill.

00:06:46.060 It was voted out of appropriations in June.

00:06:48.540 Congressman Matt Gaetz telling Fox News that Kevin McCarthy broke his word.

00:06:55.140 And he isn't serious.

00:06:56.700 Waiting this long to bring these bills to the floor means only one thing.

00:07:00.980 He wanted to put the House Freedom Caucus members, he wanted to put their backs against the wall.

00:07:06.680 What is serious is the fact that we are spending more than $7 trillion a year,

00:07:10.940 bringing in around $5 trillion a year.

00:07:12.840 And I want to fund the government.

00:07:15.100 I'm not pro-shutdown, but the way to fund the government is not the same way we've been doing it

00:07:20.000 since the mid-90s, where it's one up-or-down vote on the entire government all at once.

00:07:24.840 We should have separate, single-subject spending bills.

00:07:27.800 Kevin McCarthy promised that in January.

00:07:30.320 He is in breach of that promise.

00:07:31.960 So I'm not here to hold the government hostage.

00:07:34.880 I'm here to hold Kevin McCarthy to his word.

00:07:37.000 Take, for example, the border.

00:07:38.220 This issue you think has great primacy, and I would agree with you.

00:07:41.760 The Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill was passed out of the Appropriations Committee in June,

00:07:48.580 and yet Kevin McCarthy hasn't put it on the floor in more than 100 days.

00:07:52.760 That is not serious.

00:07:54.380 You know why Kevin McCarthy didn't move our border appropriations bill?

00:07:58.460 Because the lobbyists and the special interests who own Kevin McCarthy want to put us in this position

00:08:04.180 where we're backed up against the wall, facing shutdown politics, and what that does is it centralizes power

00:08:10.240 to the people that they buy off with PAC donations and lobbyist donations,

00:08:14.660 and then the membership doesn't get to make real contributions to that process.

00:08:20.480 I'm trying to democratize it.

00:08:21.940 Gates also says the passage of these individual bills would fund just about 70 percent of the entire government.

00:08:28.100 It's now up to McCarthy to unite his conference and not to cave to Biden and the Marxist Dems.

00:08:35.600 Congressman Chip Roy of Texas has had enough of the Marxist Dems Senate and the Marxist Dems,

00:08:41.740 and this puppet president as well.

00:08:43.760 Roy says it's time to stop funding Biden's radical agenda.

00:08:48.440 First of all, with all due respect to the gentleman from Massachusetts,

00:08:51.660 the bill we put forward does not cut funding.

00:08:54.200 It increases spending over last year.

00:08:56.360 Now, we can debate the merits of that and debate how much we need to restrain spending,

00:09:00.480 but it's simply not true.

00:09:02.420 Let's at least speak about the facts before us and the legislation in front of us.

00:09:06.580 I heard the colleague talk about getting our act together.

00:09:09.940 I would say to my colleague from Massachusetts,

00:09:14.400 how about the Senate and the president get their act together?

00:09:17.720 How about they actually do their job to secure the board of the United States?

00:09:20.720 The gentleman from Massachusetts just blithely swept aside.

00:09:24.520 Oh, it's an important issue.

00:09:27.620 Tell that to the people in Texas.

00:09:29.680 In August, 304,000 encounters.

00:09:32.980 It's the fifth month in FY23, over 200,000.

00:09:36.520 2.2 million in fiscal year 23 encounters.

00:09:40.660 Since the president took office, there have been nearly 6 million illegal migrants encountered

00:09:45.440 along the southwest border, more than the populations of Houston and Dallas combined.

00:09:50.180 We've had 2 million released in the United States, thousands of migrants traveling through the

00:09:55.780 Darien Gap, trains chock full of people, children getting sold into the sex trafficking trade on

00:10:01.660 a daily basis.

00:10:02.740 We know it because it's in federal orders from judges.

00:10:07.720 These are not made-up facts.

00:10:09.360 They're right before us.

00:10:10.580 And my colleagues on the other side of the aisle don't care.

00:10:12.620 And the Senate leadership, the Democrats leading the Senate and the president don't care.

00:10:17.920 And the secretary of Homeland Security doesn't care.

00:10:20.980 So my answer to the question about why we are saying that HR2 must be signed into law

00:10:26.660 before the funding bill gets passed is because the law must change and the secretary must be

00:10:34.100 forced to do his job because he's refusing to do it.

00:10:36.760 Outrageously, the House is expected to vote on a continuing resolution tomorrow to keep

00:10:42.120 the government open for another 30 to 45 days.

00:10:45.740 Our guest today says he'll be a no vote on any continuing resolution because he's had it

00:10:51.500 with the Marxist Dems' out-of-control spending.

00:10:54.580 Our guest is Congressman Eli Crane, representing the great state of Arizona, a former Navy SEAL.

00:11:00.400 He sits on the House Small Business, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security Committees.

00:11:04.980 He's also a member of the House Freedom Caucus, and importantly, one of those brave 20 who

00:11:10.740 held the line against Kevin McCarthy in negotiations to restore power to individual congressmen and

00:11:17.760 committees.

00:11:18.480 Great to have you with us here, Congressman.

00:11:20.720 How goes the battle?

00:11:22.260 Well, thank you for having me on, Lou.

00:11:24.740 I really appreciate it.

00:11:26.020 So right now, we're working through some of the appropriations bills and some of the amendments

00:11:32.060 on those bills.

00:11:33.920 I wish we would have done this months ago.

00:11:37.420 But this is what happens, in my opinion, when you are in a system and you have leadership

00:11:43.500 that really doesn't want to pass the appropriations bills, but, you know, is designed to govern

00:11:49.600 by CR and omnibus.

00:11:52.140 And so, you know, it's unfortunate.

00:11:54.320 But many of us are fighting to try and make sure that there's no continuing resolution.

00:12:00.680 The reason that we're fighting for that is because, as most of your listeners know, I

00:12:05.080 know they're well-educated if they're listening to your show.

00:12:08.360 We have about $33 trillion in national debt.

00:12:12.580 We have a $2 trillion deficit every year, which means that we bring in about $5 trillion in taxes,

00:12:19.360 and we spend about $7 trillion.

00:12:21.900 And you could actually argue, Lou, that we have about a $3 trillion deficit because one

00:12:27.180 of the $5 trillion we bring in in taxes actually goes to paying interest on our debt.

00:12:33.800 And so, obviously, this country is in a financial, you know, disaster.

00:12:39.620 We're going off the cliff.

00:12:40.700 Everybody knows it.

00:12:41.720 And if you were serious about wanting to actually, you know, cut spending the way any family would

00:12:49.900 do it, the way any business would do it, the way that every state legislature does it is

00:12:55.060 they set a top-line budget, and then they go line item through line item through, you know,

00:13:00.880 the different portions of their budget, and they start making cuts.

00:13:05.580 In our case, we're trying to cut spending that doesn't need to be there.

00:13:09.520 Or, you know, the woke and weaponized, as we call it, out of, you know, our budget.

00:13:15.900 And unfortunately, Lou, there's a lot of people up here.

00:13:19.960 I would say the majority of people consider those of us that are really fighting for this

00:13:25.140 process to be legislative terrorists because they've promised so many, they've sold so many

00:13:32.060 parts of themselves to special interest groups, lobbying groups, corporations that, you know,

00:13:38.640 fund their campaigns, you know, that many of them like to govern by continuing resolution

00:13:46.800 and by omnibus.

00:13:48.260 And so, you know, it's definitely a fight that we're in.

00:13:52.280 Well, Congressman, I would say the terrorists, the real terrorists, are the Marxist Dems and

00:13:56.640 the rhinos in your conference who make the weaponization and the wokeness of the left animated

00:14:06.280 and sustained.

00:14:08.260 And if they would follow your lead and that of the Freedom Caucus and other conservatives,

00:14:16.020 we could be on the way to rationalizing our fiscal policy and doing the right thing for America

00:14:24.260 and future generations.

00:14:26.220 As you describe it, what we're really talking about here is the United States will become

00:14:31.740 a deader nation in perpetuity.

00:14:34.560 This is sheer madness.

00:14:36.780 And I can't understand why seemingly, seemingly rational and concerned patriots within your

00:14:45.160 conference don't understand that.

00:14:47.900 Yeah, well, Lou, I know you have a lot more knowledge than me.

00:14:52.860 You've been following this for a long time.

00:14:54.780 I'm just a freshman here in Congress.

00:14:56.880 But I'm fortunate to be surrounded by some pretty, pretty tough conservatives.

00:15:02.880 You know, Andy Biggs is one.

00:15:04.960 Matt Rosendale is another.

00:15:06.760 You know, Matt Gaetz, even though he's not a part of the Freedom Caucus, he's always in this

00:15:10.560 fight with us.

00:15:11.540 And there's several others.

00:15:14.480 And I think one of the reasons they're able to get away with it, unfortunately, Lou, because

00:15:18.980 not enough Americans actually tune into shows like yours that actually, you know, teach them

00:15:25.900 what's really going on.

00:15:27.220 And so, you know, there's an ignorance about it.

00:15:30.780 And I think that you even saw this with Maria Bartiromo this last week with Matt Gaetz.

00:15:35.440 You know, when Matt Gaetz went on our show and made a pretty, you know, unassailable argument.

00:15:41.700 Even Maria changed, you know, changed her tune.

00:15:45.120 And I credit her for that.

00:15:46.880 And I think most Americans, when they actually hear the two arguments up against each other,

00:15:51.480 and they know that if you were, if you wanted to actually cut your budget and to get things

00:15:56.820 financially back on the right track, that that's what any common sense individual or organization

00:16:02.860 would do is they would go line item by line item through, you know, all their expenditures.

00:16:09.220 But the way Washington has run for the last couple of decades by CR and omnibus, it's usually

00:16:15.560 a couple of times a year we get in a room, we act as if we can't possibly do the 12 appropriations

00:16:22.080 bills.

00:16:23.020 And so it's a vote up or a vote down for each member to fund the entire government.

00:16:28.780 And that's just no way of doing it.

00:16:31.220 I think it's done that way on design, Lou, so that a lot of Republicans can take crummy

00:16:37.160 votes and then go back and tell their voters, well, I had to vote for it because you want

00:16:41.100 the military funded, right?

00:16:42.580 And it was all in the same thing.

00:16:44.380 And so it's really diabolical, Lou.

00:16:46.840 And I think that if enough people started paying attention to what their representatives

00:16:51.280 were actually voting on and started blowing them up in their emails, on their phones,

00:16:56.840 in social media, you know, they could use the fact that many up here are political wind

00:17:02.640 socks and just do whatever the political winds go. 0.98

00:17:06.560 They vote the way the political winds are blowing.

00:17:10.120 Talking with your district, your constituents, what is their reaction to what you're saying,

00:17:15.180 what you're doing, as well as the conference itself, broadly?

00:17:22.800 You know, I think that, honestly, I think that my district, the folks in my district are

00:17:29.180 pretty supportive.

00:17:30.360 And I think that's because I didn't come up here, I didn't come up here to represent or

00:17:36.840 fall in line.

00:17:38.040 And I don't see the Republican Party as my chain of command.

00:17:40.820 And I think a lot of Republicans do.

00:17:43.060 I see my chain of command as Arizona's second congressional district.

00:17:47.400 And so if what they want me to do up here is out of alignment with what Republican leadership

00:17:56.200 wants, then I do what, you know, I represent the people that I work for and represent.

00:18:01.760 And that doesn't make me very popular up here in Washington, D.C., as you can imagine,

00:18:06.100 Lou.

00:18:06.300 But, you know, I know that the American people are actually a lot smarter than they're given

00:18:10.980 credit for.

00:18:11.680 And, you know, it's really sad to me that, you know, up here in this town, not only are

00:18:19.720 they not represented well, but in many ways, this government that we're supposed to, that

00:18:28.660 we're, you know, really in charge of, you know, directing it has become weaponized against

00:18:35.040 them and they know it.

00:18:35.860 And so, you know, when I'm in my district and the number one call and email that, you

00:18:43.040 know, that I get from people and this, it's not exclusive across the board, but the number

00:18:47.320 one, you know, communication that I'm getting from people in my district are, hey, do whatever

00:18:53.540 it takes to change this thing.

00:18:55.760 And if that means shutting the government down, we're okay with it.

00:18:58.360 And it's not because, Lou, it's not because they don't, they know that, you know, with

00:19:05.940 shutting down the government comes some things that they don't like.

00:19:10.020 They know that there's a little pain involved in it, but what they, they become fearful of

00:19:14.580 this government.

00:19:15.880 And so they want to see a reckoning and they think the only reckoning is if, you know, the

00:19:21.840 money is taken away and there's a come to Jesus moment.

00:19:24.740 And clearly, clearly, Lou, by what, what I see up here on a daily basis, there is no

00:19:30.060 come to Jesus moment.

00:19:31.180 The folks that run this town want to continue doing business at, you know, as they normally

00:19:36.620 have.

00:19:37.720 And, you know, for, for the American people, I know that's not okay.

00:19:40.480 And for some of us up here in this town that represent the American people, that's, it's

00:19:44.500 not okay.

00:19:45.640 Well, we all appreciate you trying to lead them to, if you would, religion.

00:19:52.560 And it's, I think in time, the odds are very difficult, but I do think in time, persistent

00:20:01.440 and terrific patriots like yourself will, will prevail.

00:20:06.480 We're talking with Congressman Eli Crane.

00:20:09.340 We'll be right back after these quick words.

00:20:11.620 Please stay with us.

00:20:18.220 We're back with Congressman Eli Crane.

00:20:20.720 Congressman, we're talking about the odds, I guess it would be, of getting the right

00:20:27.600 thing done this time.

00:20:28.960 And it sounds, as I listened to you, like it's going to be a very difficult thing to

00:20:33.740 get returned to regular order.

00:20:36.200 Are you going to be able to, are there going to be, I'll ask it this way, how many appropriations

00:20:43.440 bills will there be, and will there be an opportunity to amend?

00:20:49.400 How strong will be the reforms that the 118th Congress began with as a result of the agreement

00:20:56.220 with Speaker McCarthy?

00:20:58.900 Well, that's tough to say at this point, Lou.

00:21:00.900 A lot of it is up in the air.

00:21:02.380 I can tell you that we've passed one appropriations bill out of the House.

00:21:06.800 That's the MilCon VA.

00:21:09.080 We passed that a while ago, and now we're working on four appropriations bills right

00:21:15.520 now.

00:21:16.100 But, you know, we're in full understandment that Speaker McCarthy will be bringing a CR,

00:21:24.280 a continuing resolution to the floor, we believe, on Friday.

00:21:27.600 I personally don't think it has enough votes to pass, you know, from talking to my other

00:21:34.100 colleagues.

00:21:35.160 And so I really don't know what's going to, you know, come out of that.

00:21:40.220 I do expect the Uniparty to do what the Uniparty does, Lou.

00:21:44.320 Republicans and Democrats working in lockstep to make sure that the money keeps, you know,

00:21:52.560 leaving this town and, you know, going out to all the special interests and everything

00:21:57.400 else.

00:21:57.860 And so I know that's probably sounds a little bit skeptical.

00:22:02.620 And but when you see the nonsense, you know, firsthand on a daily basis, it becomes really

00:22:09.600 easy in this town to become skeptical.

00:22:14.100 I'll make you a bet that your constituents wouldn't want you any other way than skeptical

00:22:19.300 of these people, because, frankly, your conference is made up of some people who are weak,

00:22:26.200 need lily-livered and duplicitous. 0.99

00:22:30.420 I mean, and I and that that's a compliment compared to what I say about the Marxist Dems.

00:22:36.600 But these rhinos are destroying the Republican Party and they keep talking about the conservatives 1.00

00:22:43.860 and the national left wing media for some reason.

00:22:46.300 That that seems to be an alignment, doesn't it?

00:22:48.860 The Marxist Dems, Democrat media and the rhinos.

00:22:53.340 Oh, my gosh.

00:22:54.860 So are you in your judgment?

00:22:57.100 Are you headed toward a shutdown of the government?

00:23:00.540 Do you believe that's where Congress is going to take this?

00:23:03.360 You know, I would if I had to put a percentage on it, and this is just me guessing, Lou, as

00:23:09.000 a freshman up here, I would say 60 percent there will be a discharge petition.

00:23:16.660 Democrats and Republicans, the uniparty will work together for that continuing resolution,

00:23:24.080 you know, to go forward.

00:23:26.300 And then, you know, 40 percent of me says, hey, maybe there isn't, maybe there is a government

00:23:31.580 shutdown and maybe there's some people up here that are actually, you know, interested

00:23:37.740 in working on the appropriations bills.

00:23:40.300 I think that's an outside chance just on what I see up here.

00:23:46.080 But, you know, I think the uniparty is going to do what the uniparty does.

00:23:50.580 That's my prediction.

00:23:51.580 Well, and my guess is that you're right.

00:23:56.580 The reason I ask the question is there are a number of veterans in the 118th Congress.

00:24:05.020 And I have been shocked, frankly, that so many of these veterans are not more independent

00:24:13.440 minded and not more concerned about just the rationality of the situation.

00:24:20.520 We're talking, you said on the Homeland Security Committee, I can't understand why anybody would

00:24:27.160 fund Homeland Security because the Homeland Security Department run by Alejandro Mayorkas

00:24:33.600 is a department that we have a border patrol that doesn't patrol the borders.

00:24:38.380 We have Homeland Security responsibilities, none of which are fulfilled by the Department

00:24:44.560 of Homeland Security.

00:24:45.460 And yet they were going to blithely walk into into formation.

00:24:51.340 And as one vote to support without protest, the Department of Homeland Security.

00:24:59.840 It's just mindless to me.

00:25:01.560 We all were impeaching the president of the United States and giving him exactly what he's

00:25:08.880 asking for, knowing he's a puppet, impaired imposter of a president who is working more. 0.65

00:25:17.200 I can't think of a single thing, Congressman, that this president and his administration has

00:25:22.980 done that is in the national interest, not a single initiative in their agenda.

00:25:27.200 Can you?

00:25:27.920 No, sir, I can't.

00:25:30.720 I mean, I never thought I'd see the day, Mr. Dobbs, growing up in this great country,

00:25:38.880 just being raised to be proud of my country, having parents that love me, took care of me

00:25:44.820 and my brothers, taught all of us that freedom isn't free and how grateful we should be to live here

00:25:52.580 and how lucky we were to have the freedoms and opportunities that we did.

00:25:57.000 And, you know, if we ever got a chance to, you know, pay that back and show our gratitude, we should.

00:26:03.720 And, you know, that's what caused me to join the Navy the week after 9-11.

00:26:08.080 You know, and I spent 14 or, excuse me, 13 years in the Navy, you know, after that.

00:26:15.000 And, you know, it just blows my mind the things that I see up here on a regular basis.

00:26:19.320 I think everybody in this town knows how corrupt Joe Biden is.

00:26:23.920 And, I mean, it just, but it does still blow my mind that the president of the United States,

00:26:29.620 not even talking about whether or not he can, you know, stand up straight, you know,

00:26:35.320 not fall over walking, you know, downstairs or can put a sentence together.

00:26:40.400 But when you look at the receipts of the corruption that he's been involved in,

00:26:46.560 when you can look at, you know, the fact that the media is not covering it,

00:26:50.800 when you look at, you know, the border that you were just talking about, 0.81

00:26:54.760 it just, I feel like we live in a clown world, Lou.

00:26:58.800 And I feel like those of us up here that are, you know, actually fighting are just plain whack-a-mole.

00:27:05.040 So, you know, we focus on, you know, three or four or five or six or seven or eight things.

00:27:12.040 And by the time, you know, we've got done hitting those, there's 15 more that have popped up.

00:27:16.980 And I know the American people feel the same way.

00:27:19.160 I know many of them have tuned it out because it just depresses them so much.

00:27:25.040 You know, but we're going to keep fighting.

00:27:27.740 And, you know, Lou, I'm a man of faith.

00:27:31.760 One thing, you know, I know that I believe, Lou, that one of the reasons we're here is because we've pushed God out of everything.

00:27:38.120 And I think that when you do that, whether in your personal life or as a country, it never leads you down a good path.

00:27:48.340 And I think that's one of the reasons that we're here.

00:27:50.280 And so I just want to encourage those listening to this show to continue to pray for this country, continue to pray for our leaders, even the ones that you don't like.

00:28:01.820 Because I know that I believe that God's still in charge.

00:28:06.020 I don't believe any of this surprises him.

00:28:08.000 But there's a verse, and I think it's 2 Chronicles, Lou, and it says, if my people who are called by my name will, you know, repent of their sins, then I will hear them and heal their land.

00:28:23.180 Now, I probably butchered that verse a little, but that's the, you know, that's the theme of it.

00:28:29.080 And so I do want to remind people that, you know, government and, you know, the Republican Party is not what I put my faith in, not even the Freedom Caucus.

00:28:38.660 I put my faith in, you know, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

00:28:42.580 And I do believe we should, I do believe we should continue to pray for him, especially at a time like this, where it just, sometimes it, sometimes it feels like, like overwhelming.

00:28:54.880 Now, first of all, amen, and God bless you.

00:28:59.320 It's a time, I don't know that people fully appreciate, and I probably don't either, just how dire the circumstances and how powerful the forces are that are arrayed against this country.

00:29:15.080 And there's no question whatsoever that much is going to be asked of us.

00:29:20.060 We're talking with Congressman Eli Crane.

00:29:23.040 We'll be right back with him.

00:29:24.880 Right?

00:29:26.000 It's just a matter of moments.

00:29:27.500 Stay with us.

00:29:33.640 We're back with Congressman Eli Crane.

00:29:36.240 And Congressman, just before we pause there for just a moment, we were talking about the circumstances we find ourselves in.

00:29:45.780 One of the circumstances is the Republican Conference has Kevin McCarthy as its speaker.

00:29:53.180 He is aligned more with the Democrats than he is with the conservatives, more with the Marxists than he is with the conservatives, the Freedom Caucus.

00:30:03.860 Do you think that someone is going to bring a motion to vacate if he reaches across the aisle with the Democrats to get the votes necessary to move forward with the CR?

00:30:18.260 You know, Lou, I think it's definitely possible.

00:30:21.840 I know a lot of a lot of us are watching to see what he does.

00:30:27.420 But, you know, I will tell you at this point, I don't think there's enough votes in the Republican Party to get a new speaker.

00:30:38.800 And I hate to say that because it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

00:30:43.420 But then again, a lot of the things that we do don't make sense to me, like the fact that we're once again, we're right up against September 30th when we run out of money.

00:30:53.840 And Republicans are pushing for a continuing resolution like that doesn't make any sense to me either.

00:31:00.520 The fact that, you know, Kevin McCarthy and I think one hundred and forty nine Republicans voted this year to increase the debt ceiling by at least four trillion dollars.

00:31:11.340 That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

00:31:12.800 The fact that many Republicans won't aren't willing to impeach Joe Biden or Secretary Mayorkas since I've been here doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

00:31:20.880 And so, Lou, I just try and take this, you know, one day at a time, one fight at a time.

00:31:26.760 And, you know, I and I also try and remember that even the people that I don't align with or even the ones that really, you know, I find very disappointing.

00:31:39.180 I try and see the good in them.

00:31:40.840 I try and remember that they're human beings and, you know, and then that can be really difficult to do.

00:31:48.160 But I don't know what's going to happen with Kevin McCarthy.

00:31:50.960 But I do know that if he if he does make a deal with Democrats, there is a very likely chance that a motion to vacate will be dropped.

00:32:02.380 And but even then, I'll be surprised if we have enough support to put in a new speaker.

00:32:09.660 Well, you're you're blessed with great strength because to be able to deal with that, that kind of to me, it is not just duplicity and weakness.

00:32:22.780 It's evil of what we're seeing expressed here by men and women who represent their constituents as citizens of the United States, taking the oaths that they have.

00:32:33.560 They cannot understand the facts before us, which are straightforward. 0.61

00:32:39.260 We have a corrupt president, a corrupt regime.

00:32:42.920 And I think nearly everyone in that Congress, Democrat and Republican, has to understand that every agency, every department of the federal government right now is politically corrupt and targeting.

00:32:55.780 They are weaponized and targeting the American people and the American people are awakening to it.

00:33:01.740 The polls show that, Congressman.

00:33:03.920 And I know how difficult it must be for you to to have to contend with that, if you will, shoulder to face with them.

00:33:13.680 But we appreciate you doing so.

00:33:15.640 We always give our guests nearly always, unless I blab on too long, the last word.

00:33:22.440 And we appreciate you being with us.

00:33:25.040 I've enjoyed our conversation.

00:33:26.460 I know the audience has has been delighted to hear your voice and come back soon, if you will.

00:33:33.580 You're concluding thoughts today.

00:33:36.440 Well, thanks again, Lou.

00:33:38.400 I, you know, I've watched watch you for many years and I appreciate that you're still in the fight when when I think a lot of people would fully understood, fully understand if you retired and just rode off into the sunset.

00:33:52.260 But it does give guys like me who are 43 years old encouragement because there are times where, you know, I want to, you know, just ride off into the sunset as well.

00:34:04.180 And I look at guys like Lou Dobbs and I think, oh, man, if Lou's still going, maybe I maybe I need to stay in this fight.

00:34:11.500 So thank you, man, for what you do.

00:34:13.400 Thank you to your audience for, you know, continuing to stay informed.

00:34:17.360 I think so much of this fight is, you know, being informed.

00:34:21.260 But then on top of that, we have to take action.

00:34:24.600 We have to be activists.

00:34:26.700 And God gave each and every one of us different talents and skills and abilities.

00:34:31.180 Yours might be are probably completely different than mine and vice versa.

00:34:34.720 But I would just ask the Lord, you know, what can I Lord, what have you given me that I can use for my country and for the future of my kids and remind yourself to keep praying for this country and for our leaders as well.

00:34:48.620 And that that that's how I'd like to leave it.

00:34:51.260 Well, that's a great admonition, a great statement.

00:34:55.740 And we appreciate it, Congressman.

00:34:57.920 And I want to say thank you for your service in the United States Navy and in the United States Congress.

00:35:04.920 We appreciate everything that you're doing for this country.

00:35:09.640 We will look forward to our next conversation.

00:35:12.320 Until then, God bless you.

00:35:14.540 Thanks for being with us here.
