The Great America Show - DOJ TRYING TO SCARE CONSERVATIVES AWAY FROM EVER GOING TO D.C. TO MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD SAYS REP. LOUIE GOHMERT

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs. Welcome to the Great America Show. Delighted to have you with us.

00:00:06.060 Today's show dedicated to the January Sixers, the January Sixth defendants who are really political prisoners of the left,

00:00:15.640 who have by the hundreds been abused in federal prisons and jails for almost two years, many of them,

00:00:22.280 victims of inhumane treatment by our justice system, whether judges who over-sentence, prosecutors who over-charge,

00:00:30.900 or the prison guards and wardens who, in some cases, are responsible for the torture of those defendants caught in political hell.

00:00:39.340 It is an American disgrace.

00:00:41.920 We'll be joined today by two patriots, Congressman Louie Gohmert of Texas.

00:00:46.360 Congressman Gohmert has been on the front line, standing up for the January Sixth defendants and prisoners.

00:00:52.280 And then our next guest will be someone who has witnessed the abuse and felt it firsthand,

00:00:57.860 whose life has been turned upside down.

00:01:00.720 Her name is Bonnie Nichols.

00:01:02.360 She's the wife of Ryan Nichols, who's been detained in the D.C. Gulag since January 18 of 2021.

00:01:11.420 That is 605 days detained, with no charges.

00:01:16.480 You heard that correctly.

00:01:18.100 No charges.

00:01:18.980 In jail for 605 days in a prison system that is more gulag than an American prison.

00:01:27.460 Ryan has been held with no charges.

00:01:29.820 He's been denied bail.

00:01:31.620 And as of right now, no trial date has been set.

00:01:35.640 Ryan is the father of their two young boys, a U.S. Marine who served his country honorably and still suffers from PTSD.

00:01:43.900 What we are witnessing is the weaponized Biden DOJ at work, targeting American citizens because of their politics and ideology.

00:01:54.620 President Trump this week continuing to stand up for those January six detainees and defendants.

00:02:01.300 The president called into a rally in support of the victims of the gulag.

00:02:06.000 Here's what he said.

00:02:08.520 Well, Mickey, it's an honor to be with you and to everybody listening.

00:02:12.720 It's a terrible thing that has happened to a lot of people that are being treated very, very unfairly.

00:02:19.600 We love Ashley and it was so horrible what happened to her that that man shot Ashley as a disgrace.

00:02:28.300 And then he goes on television and it looks like he was actually bragging about it.

00:02:33.000 There's never been a thing like this has happened in our country.

00:02:35.920 And I just want to tell everybody that's listening.

00:02:38.120 We're with you.

00:02:39.300 We're working with a lot of different people on this and we can't let this happen.

00:02:43.900 This has never happened before.

00:02:45.760 You look at all of the riots that took place for the last long period of time, not just in 2020.

00:02:52.720 The last long period of time and almost nothing has happened to those people.

00:02:58.300 And what they're doing here is a disgrace.

00:03:01.160 It's a disgrace to our country and it just cannot be allowed to happen and it cannot be allowed to continue.

00:03:07.680 So I just want to say to everybody, everybody's working on it.

00:03:11.440 And I very much appreciate, Mickey, you're asking me to just speak to everybody.

00:03:17.040 But we cannot allow this to happen to our country.

00:03:21.500 So God bless everybody.

00:03:23.960 We are working very hard.

00:03:25.400 Thank you, President Trump, for standing up for what's right.

00:03:30.000 Joining us now, another man who's standing up for the January Sixers, Congressman Louie Gohmert of the great state of Texas, a former judge.

00:03:37.900 Congressman Gohmert, it's always great to talk with you.

00:03:40.480 I want to talk about all you've been doing for the January Sixth defendants.

00:03:44.140 But I also want your judgment, your sense of where things stand right now with that Marxist Dem January Sixth panel.

00:03:52.800 Well, thank you for not calling it a commission because even though they claim that to be the case, there's nothing legitimate about it.

00:04:04.140 They have the power to subpoena, but it is so badly being abused.

00:04:12.280 So they're not pursuing the truth.

00:04:16.960 They're pursuing a political agenda against Donald Trump.

00:04:21.260 That's what it comes down to.

00:04:23.220 And that's why many Republicans are saying come January, if we get the majority back, then there needs to be a real commission where we do look into everything about January Sixth.

00:04:38.020 So we can find out things like this.

00:04:41.520 Of course, this panel is not interested in finding out why Pelosi turned down having National Guard help prevent things.

00:04:52.960 There are a lot of questions.

00:04:55.860 And I've seen so many people asking legitimate questions like, who opened the Columbus doors from inside?

00:05:04.880 Because they could not be open from the outside.

00:05:08.720 Anyway, there are just a lot of things that this group is not interested in.

00:05:13.260 And as a former felony judge, I've got no problem with people that were violent, people that committed crimes being dealt with seriously, as they should be.

00:05:28.620 But one such person was Simone Gold, who's done more to save lives, save the lives of a couple of friends of mine, just an incredibly brilliant, courageous doctor.

00:05:43.500 She was supposed to give a speech on January 6th.

00:05:46.620 And that got canceled, and so the doors were open, and she wandered in with other people, didn't appear to be anything, anybody telling them they couldn't go in.

00:06:01.000 So, gee, okay, we'll walk in.

00:06:03.900 And she gave her speech she was going to give outside, inside.

00:06:07.300 But she is, Lou, she's the first woman in the history of the Department of Justice who had no criminal record, was convicted of a misdemeanor trespass, and was sent to a maximum security facility.

00:06:27.220 Others, like I visited Martha Stewart in prison in West Virginia, there were no fences, no walls.

00:06:38.980 It was like a small dormitory settings, and people were on their honor because they were nonviolent.

00:06:48.360 And it was a good place.

00:06:52.120 I don't think Martha Stewart should have had to go to prison, but if she was, it was a perfect place for somebody that's nonviolent like her. 0.61

00:07:01.400 And it would have been perfect for Dr. Simone Gold.

00:07:05.140 But instead, they sent her to a maximum lockdown facility.

00:07:09.500 And it's just really outrageous how far out of their way this Department of Justice is going to scare conservatives from ever coming to Washington and making their voices be heard.

00:07:28.880 That appears to be the whole goal here.

00:07:31.440 It's not justice anymore.

00:07:33.680 It's incredible.

00:07:36.420 It is really punitive, politically punitive, for having different political positions.

00:07:47.000 But like I say, you know, if you didn't gauge them violent, if you stole something, you did, you know, trespass is a crime.

00:07:55.760 Fine, punish it.

00:07:56.820 But nobody has ever been punished like that before.

00:07:59.960 Are you telling everybody that Dr. Simone Gold was only charged with trespass and is in a maximum security federal prison?

00:08:10.000 Yep, down in Miami.

00:08:11.820 And she was, yep, locked up in a huge facility down there.

00:08:18.080 And because she has saved so many people, including friends of mine, I was there when she was released.

00:08:27.640 And that was last Friday. 0.66

00:08:30.980 And I've caught all kinds of crud from Democrats going nuts.

00:08:37.880 And that includes Adam Kinzinger.

00:08:40.060 He sent that out on social media that I was there to meet Simone Gold.

00:08:46.360 Yes, I was.

00:08:48.020 And it's just so amazing.

00:08:50.540 It's like there is no compassion.

00:08:53.680 It's just hate and anger and wanting to destroy people with whom they disagree.

00:09:01.780 It's just amazing.

00:09:03.140 It used to be, Lou, that Democrats were some of the greatest proponents of civil rights and protecting civil rights.

00:09:13.260 But what we've seen in recent years, and we've seen it on the Judiciary Committee, and we're going to see it again tomorrow in a hearing there in Judiciary,

00:09:22.480 they just see.

00:09:26.200 They can't think straight.

00:09:28.180 They're just compassion goes completely aside, and they want to punish.

00:09:36.040 They want to hurt.

00:09:37.860 They want to just really go after and destroy the rights of people who have different political beliefs,

00:09:47.920 like those of us that think a ministry of truth would be a bad thing.

00:09:52.620 And they're thinking, gee, we need to set up something like a ministry of truth that will tell us what all the truth is,

00:10:00.700 and anybody that disagrees, we can punish them.

00:10:04.080 Well, that's right out of Orwell's 1984, right out of it.

00:10:08.340 The only thing missing is the ministry of love that would arrest people and torture them until they agreed two plus two was five.

00:10:16.280 Yeah, this is not 1984.

00:10:21.180 It is clearly 2022.

00:10:23.940 This is what you're describing as I listened to you. 0.94

00:10:27.300 What you were describing as you went through the Democrats is you were describing sociopaths, psychopaths. 0.98

00:10:38.280 They are incapable of empathy. 0.99

00:10:41.960 They're incapable of reason.

00:10:44.280 They are vicious and without any seeming purpose other than to be destructive.

00:10:52.960 This is – and by the way, one of the things, the expression that I have just forbidden myself from using ever is this Trump derangement syndrome

00:11:02.280 because there's a word in that that doesn't belong.

00:11:06.460 This is the Democrat derangement syndrome.

00:11:11.460 This is a group of people who are under some sort of mass hypnosis who've convinced themselves that they, in being evil,

00:11:20.980 are somehow pure and of higher purpose than their fellow citizens.

00:11:26.260 While they hurt them, incarcerate them, attack them,

00:11:32.360 we are looking at a country that has witnessed six years of political persecution by the Marxist Dems who controlled this administration,

00:11:46.340 who controlled this president, their party,

00:11:48.940 and they are absolutely intent on destroying every institution of former worth in our society,

00:11:58.560 destroying the citizens for whom this country they consider to be a blessing

00:12:04.020 and who mean that we all fulfill our potential and have, through equal opportunity, in this great republic of ours.

00:12:15.500 It is – there's such a disconnect between the two.

00:12:19.000 Well, except you mentioned the word Marxist, and it brings me back to the summer I was an exchange student between my sophomore and junior year

00:12:31.140 to what really was the old Soviet Union back in the 70s.

00:12:35.420 And at one point – and I heard this from two different friends I'd made.

00:12:43.520 These were Ukrainians.

00:12:45.240 But two different times, somebody was running to tell on a friend.

00:12:54.260 And one, I said, look, is she going to tell on you for being in this room when you weren't supposed to be?

00:13:04.220 And he said, of course.

00:13:06.840 And it was such a thoughtful answer.

00:13:09.300 He said, look, in your country, you can get ahead by working hard, making more money, raising yourself up.

00:13:18.180 But in a Soviet country, a communist country, the only way you can raise yourself up,

00:13:25.780 since everybody makes about the same amount of money,

00:13:29.180 the only way you raise yourself up is by stepping on other people.

00:13:33.940 So that lady is going to go step on me, and that will give her some additional credibility and perks. 1.00

00:13:41.200 And that's how you get ahead in a Marxist country.

00:13:44.820 You step on other people.

00:13:46.900 And that's what we're starting to see here, people thinking,

00:13:50.560 if I can just step on some Republican, step on some conservative, then I'm going to be elevated.

00:13:58.700 I'm going to be more popular.

00:14:00.900 And it's such a dangerous system.

00:14:04.300 But you mentioned the word Marxist, and that's what happens in a Marxist system.

00:14:09.380 Yeah, this is a Marxist system.

00:14:12.900 Don't let – let's be very clear.

00:14:15.520 And I am trying to get this out to everyone who will even listen.

00:14:20.860 These are Marxist Dems who drive the Democrat Party.

00:14:24.780 They're authoritarian.

00:14:25.980 They're totalitarian.

00:14:26.940 And they are in league with the corporate structure of this country, businesses, corporations, multinationals.

00:14:36.840 And together they have fused around Marxist philosophy, whether it's CRT, whether it's ESG.

00:14:44.980 They are moving forward to have absolute control over the citizenry.

00:14:51.580 The words you don't – you almost never hear anyone talk about self-reliance.

00:14:55.800 We never hear – you know, the president makes a speech.

00:14:59.680 He doesn't talk about this is a time for individuals to step up and to be innovative and do this and to focus on the individual citizen.

00:15:08.520 Instead, the Democrats are a party of mobs.

00:15:13.620 Whether it's a big law that refuses to represent the president of the United States because it might be bad for business with the U.S. multinationals,

00:15:21.820 or whether it be a January 6th prisoner who has to give every ounce of his money, his time over – maybe even in a solitary confinement – for trespassing, as you talked about, Dr. Gold.

00:15:39.220 This is a time – we're talking about Solzhenitsyn's era in the Soviet Union.

00:15:46.700 This is a country where we have a gulag based in the nation's capital.

00:15:51.720 And unfortunately, I have had too many college graduates, young college graduates, if I say – and I've mentioned the gulag – they say, what's a gulag?

00:16:08.660 They've never heard of Solzhenitsyn, they've never heard of gulag archipelago.

00:16:14.920 They don't know how bad it gets, but that's the kind of stuff we're seeing.

00:16:20.040 And one of the things that you saw in the Soviet Union and you see in the Chinese Communist Party or any Marxist country,

00:16:30.580 those in authority feel like it's perfectly fine for them to violate the law because they're going after people that disagree with them, so they must be wrong.

00:16:42.260 And Jim Jordan has talked about 14 FBI agents who have become whistleblowers and talked to the Republicans in the Judiciary Committee.

00:16:57.060 And then I've had several outside of those who have given me information.

00:17:03.240 Well, you have the head of the Department of Justice, you've got Merrick Garland issuing an order that he is depriving every FBI agent, everybody in justice,

00:17:19.800 of the right they have under the Constitution to talk in a privileged conversation with their member of Congress.

00:17:28.740 It's privileged, it's a more blatant constitutional privilege than even an attorney-client because they have that right.

00:17:39.040 And yet Merrick Garland said, if you work in the FBI, you cannot talk to a member of Congress.

00:17:45.680 Well, how else can we have proper oversight?

00:17:49.260 But he's taking away their constitutional rights.

00:17:52.500 And what we're hearing and what I've heard just in the last few days, there was a report by two people that wish to remain anonymous so far.

00:18:04.920 But through their attorney, they used the law and made a protected disclosure because they were very afraid of reprisals because the reprisals have been fast and pretty tough.

00:18:19.740 As whistleblowers.

00:18:21.300 As whistleblowers, yeah.

00:18:23.760 You know, we heard during Trump's presidency about how precious the whistleblowers are unless they're reporting Democrats.

00:18:31.860 But anyway, they were reporting that they had seen phones in the SCIF, and that's that secured compartmentalized place where you can go and you know nobody can bug it.

00:18:46.460 It's completely free.

00:18:48.280 You know, it's SCIF, there's a couple of them here on Capitol Hill.

00:18:52.120 You have to leave phones out.

00:18:54.280 You cannot take them in.

00:18:56.200 There's an area where you have to leave them.

00:18:58.480 And so anyway, they have these laws or the rules.

00:19:04.960 You cannot take anything, not a smartwatch, nothing.

00:19:08.220 And so there were FBI agents that whistleblowers and said on the seventh floor where the director of the FBI, Christopher Wray, and the deputy director have their offices and they have a SCIF where they talk about some of the most private, confidential, top secret information in our country.

00:19:33.460 Not like just some of the documents that Trump wanted to have, but really confidential stuff and that there are cell phones all over, which means that people could hack.

00:19:48.120 They could listen to the conversations, and so – I'm sorry.

00:19:56.920 I had somebody speaking to me.

00:19:58.800 But the FBI agents reported that there were violations there on that floor and that the director and deputy director had to be aware because it was so blatant, and even the deputy director violated himself.

00:20:20.460 And so the deputy director came out, I believe it was Monday this week, and said, that's a lie.

00:20:27.100 That never happened.

00:20:28.560 So then yesterday there was a protected disclosure from another FBI agent saying, I'm on the team that does the checking to make sure it's secure.

00:20:41.180 And, yeah, we found lots of radio signals, online, Wi-Fi.

00:20:51.620 There were phones.

00:20:52.860 There were smart watches.

00:20:54.380 There were all kinds of things that were violating the security of the SCIF, and that's on the top floor.

00:21:00.160 And not only did they violate the law by violating the SCIF requirements, but they also lied to the American public when the deputy director says that never happened.

00:21:15.420 That's a lie.

00:21:16.420 So I think you'll see information coming out about that, and there may even be pictures of violations.

00:21:23.040 But when you've got a deputy director and a director who feel like they are so important in going after people like January Sixers that it's fine for them to violate the law,

00:21:40.700 then they are no better than the worst leaders of the Soviet Union or the Chinese Communist Party, and they need to go.

00:21:48.980 Absolutely.

00:21:49.580 And every one of those prosecutors who would put Dr. Gold, for example, do you have the names of the prosecutors who did that to her?

00:21:57.540 Do you have the names of the federal district court judge who passed that sentence?

00:22:03.520 Because these are abuses of power, the likes of which America has never seen in this measure, this scale.

00:22:13.380 Well, I'm glad you brought up the judge that sentenced her.

00:22:17.060 This is a judge, and I'm blanking on the name right now.

00:22:20.940 I can get it for you and send that to you.

00:22:24.460 But he had dated.

00:22:27.180 He had asked Simone Gold for a date back when they were in school, and she went on one date, and then she realized, I don't want to go out with him anymore.

00:22:37.700 He continued to ask her out, and she continued to refuse.

00:22:42.560 Well, all these years later, he got a chance to recuse himself.

00:22:47.340 I can't go out with somebody that kept turning me down for dates.

00:22:52.380 But he didn't do that.

00:22:54.320 He was chomping at the bits to get to sentence the woman that had the nerve to turn him down for dates. 0.86

00:23:02.500 And so he sentenced her, and he lectured her, and yeah.

00:23:08.720 Let me ask you this.

00:23:10.960 Didn't her attorneys point out the conflict of interest in that sentencing, in that trial?

00:23:18.100 Yes.

00:23:18.700 She raised the issue, and the judge didn't feel he should recuse himself.

00:23:24.940 Now, he had recused himself from a case involving Hillary Clinton because he loved her to death, so maybe better not.

00:23:34.280 But when he had the chance to sentence somebody that turned him down for dates, there was no way he was going to recuse himself.

00:23:43.780 That was pursued.

00:23:46.220 I'm going to do this.

00:23:47.440 John, I'm going to turn to our producer.

00:23:50.560 Would you please check the sentencing judge for Dr. Simone Gold?

00:23:54.120 I'd like to know that name because I think everybody would like to know the name of that judge so that we could have it.

00:24:04.000 It's a U.S. district court judge, Christopher R. Cooper.

00:24:08.620 Christopher R. Cooper, appointed by, I assume, Hillary Clinton or someone of that stripe.

00:24:17.920 So that's quite a – you know, this is an outrage.

00:24:22.340 Those judges –

00:24:22.820 It is.

00:24:23.320 But the fact that the chief justice of the United States, I am telling you, does not – he has absolute control over that federal court system, that judiciary.

00:24:39.240 Why is he not speaking up against – John Roberts has a responsibility.

00:24:45.140 I'm asking you as a former judge, doesn't he have a responsibility to stop the madness and the abuse of power by his judges and prosecutors?

00:24:55.020 He absolutely does.

00:24:57.220 He absolutely does.

00:24:58.940 The chief justice of the Supreme Court is supposed to be reining in judges, making sure that there's no impropriety.

00:25:07.140 But it's not – with the judges, it's not just a rule or an ethics issue.

00:25:15.140 It is the law that if there is anything that indicates a potential that people could think there was a conflict, then the judge has an obligation to recuse him or herself or whatever pronoun they're using.

00:25:34.040 And that didn't happen in this case, and it doesn't happen – I'm telling you, the judges that have let people that did not commit any violence and let them sit in the D.C. jail for a year, year and a half is absolutely outrageous.

00:25:56.740 I was talking to a former FBI agent last week that had called me, and he was saying, you remember in the 80s and 90s when we needed somebody, if they were nonviolent and we had them indicted, we would give their lawyer a call and say, have your client be at the jail at this place at 10 a.m., 9 a.m., 1 p.m., whatever.

00:26:20.480 And we wouldn't go bust down anybody's door in the middle of the night.

00:26:26.160 We wouldn't arrest them in the middle of the night.

00:26:28.500 If somebody was a real threat, then, yeah, we would take precautions.

00:26:33.600 But this is a different Department of Justice.

00:26:37.000 It is Gestapo tactics where they will take people out and not let in their underwear and take pleasure in having previously alerted CNN or some left-wing media so they're there in the dark to film people being drug out in their underwear.

00:26:58.360 I mean, this is Gestapo tactics.

00:27:01.100 It's not justice tactics.

00:27:02.960 And I was talking to a guy Saturday night.

00:27:07.140 He said he was with the Secret Service for 30 years.

00:27:11.540 And I said, well, at least you weren't with the FBI.

00:27:14.180 And he said, there are so many of my friends.

00:27:17.580 We are furious at what the FBI has become.

00:27:22.380 It has just made a mockery of justice in America.

00:27:26.940 And I'm hearing that from people around the country, former FBI, and that's the first Secret Service I've talked to about it.

00:27:35.040 Well, you know, I think most Americans would agree that this is a Gestapo FBI.

00:27:42.360 They're no longer Gestapo-like.

00:27:44.960 They are the Gestapo.

00:27:47.080 They're using our tactics.

00:27:48.360 But what I don't understand, what I don't understand is why the judiciary committees of the Senate and the House, both political parties, haven't risen up and said to the Supreme Court and the chief of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Roberts,

00:28:06.200 get your judiciary cleaned up and do it now.

00:28:11.620 That is within his power.

00:28:13.760 And I do not understand why no one in authority is doing it, whether in mass individually.

00:28:20.920 This is a weak and conflicted man.

00:28:24.380 I understand that.

00:28:25.820 But surely everyone understands what a mockery of justice the chief justice is making of the entire federal judiciary.

00:28:34.860 It's so true. 0.84

00:28:36.200 It's so true. 0.84

00:28:37.220 Well, I think just as important, maybe more so, is for the Judiciary Committee of the House, with the view toward impeachment, it has to start in our committee,

00:28:52.060 is dragging more judges before the committee and demanding to know why they did absolutely outrageous acts or arrived at such outrageous decisions.

00:29:08.980 You know, call them, you know, call them, you know, call them down for things that they've said or done that indicate they are not appropriate for being federal judges.

00:29:17.800 Because we have to be calling those people in and make them answer in front of the public about things that they did that were inappropriate for somebody in the judiciary.

00:29:30.160 And we just haven't had the willingness of chairs.

00:29:37.440 In some cases, chairs wanted, but our leadership, like Boehner, Ryan, you know, they didn't want to call people before our committee.

00:29:49.480 You just named two of the biggest cowards to ever hold the speakership of the House of Representatives in American history.

00:29:55.940 What they did as speakers to the Republican Party and the rise of the Republicans in name only, it's been devastating. 0.81

00:30:10.500 And it's a cowardice that has become the hallmark of the Mitt Romney wing, if you will, of the Republican Party.

00:30:17.620 And it is a very sad thing to watch.

00:30:20.980 Louie Combert, I want to go back to what we started out with, and that is your involvement with January 6th.

00:30:27.820 We always give our guests the last word here, but I want to say a few words before I give you the last word.

00:30:33.800 I really admire your tenacity and your courage in speaking up for the people, those prisoners, those political prisoners.

00:30:42.340 And as you said, some of them have been in prison without a trial in the United States of America.

00:30:50.040 And the judiciary committees of the House and the Senate are saying nothing.

00:30:54.280 The chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court and the chief judiciary officer in all the land, John Roberts, is saying nothing about the treatment of these American citizens.

00:31:06.120 It's an outrage.

00:31:07.000 I say to you, God bless you.

00:31:09.820 Marjorie Taylor Greene, I know, has also been involved, and I'm sure and I'm hopeful that I'm leaving other names out.

00:31:16.860 But I want to commend you, Louie Combert, for all that you've done.

00:31:22.080 And with that, you get the last word on this edition of The Great America Show.

00:31:27.580 Well, Simone Gold made a very good point when I was talking to her Friday after she was released from the maximum security facility.

00:31:37.000 She said, you know, these decisions by the prisons, the Department of Prisons, where they're going to send people, how punishing, how punitive their setup's going to be, there's no appeal from those decisions.

00:31:58.040 And she said there ought to be a way.

00:32:00.720 And like with January 6th in the D.C. jail, when you have somebody like the deputy warden at the D.C. jail that made very clear on social media she absolutely hates and would like to see terrible things happen to Trump supporters.

00:32:19.440 And then she is allowed to lord over these people and abuse, see that they're abused. 0.98

00:32:28.320 And then we have just in the past week, one of the guys, he had to take his mask off to take medication, and then they make you wait.

00:32:37.820 And then they check your mouth to make sure that you've swallowed the medication they've given you.

00:32:43.280 And she sees him without the mask after he's taken his medication, she runs over and pepper sprays him in the face. 0.98

00:32:52.380 They take him down, and when he's down and helpless, she keeps spraying him in the face.

00:32:59.540 And then they take him and stick him in solitary, where he doesn't even have a way to wash off his face so that he can suffer for hour upon hour.

00:33:10.500 This kind of stuff is not supposed to happen in our prison system.

00:33:14.680 And understand, I was a law and order judge.

00:33:18.400 I mean, I've sentenced people to death.

00:33:20.920 I've sent I don't know how many people to prison, but I wanted to make sure, and I did a lot of touring of prisons and jails.

00:33:29.920 I wanted to make sure that they were properly treated.

00:33:33.240 I wanted to make sure that in our prisons we were doing what our Texas Constitution said, and that is educating and training them for something after prison.

00:33:42.920 But I had no problem sending people to prison for things that you should go to prison for.

00:33:50.860 But this just absolute obsession over being vindictive to people that came up here on January 6th, if they committed violent crimes, they needed to see some real hard time.

00:34:06.980 But if they, you know, like with Simone Gold, she went in, there was no indication from anybody she shouldn't go in.

00:34:16.880 People were just walking in.

00:34:18.420 We got some video of Capitol Police saying, yeah, come on in.

00:34:24.440 Those should be treated differently.

00:34:26.740 And I can guarantee you if these were Democrats and it was about standing up for concern over an election where Democrats were mistreated, the entire Democratic Party of the House and Senate would be out there every day raising cane.

00:34:45.080 So we need to get back where people that used to care about civil rights on the Democrat side will join those of us that have been concerned about civil rights regardless of party affiliation.

00:34:58.840 Nothing more hypocritical than people that obstructed an official session of Congress on the House floor for 26 hours back in June of 2016, then in 2022 and 2021 demanding that people that obstructed an official session of Congress and did nothing violent, nothing other than obstruct a session of Congress.

00:35:26.660 They want them in prison for long periods of time. 0.94

00:35:30.520 That is about as hypocritical as it gets.

00:35:34.660 Louie Gohmert, as always, you're a great American, you're a great guest, and we thank you very much.

00:35:40.140 My friend, all best wishes.

00:35:43.180 Thanks for being with us here on The Great America Show.

00:35:45.720 Thank you, Lou.

00:35:46.640 Thanks so much.

00:35:48.680 Thank you, Congressman Gohmert, for all you do for this country.

00:35:51.900 And I turn now to our next guest, who is Bonnie Nichols.

00:35:55.260 Her husband, Ryan Nichols, as I said, has been locked up in the D.C.

00:36:00.120 Gulag for 605 days with no charges or trial.

00:36:04.820 Bonnie Nichols, welcome to The Great America Show.

00:36:07.620 Thanks for being with us.

00:36:08.760 I know these are terrible times for you, terrible times for your family, and in fact, terrible times for our nation.

00:36:16.400 Tell us, if you will, how you and your children and Ryan are doing right now.

00:36:22.560 Thank you for having me on, Lou.

00:36:24.220 My family and I are suffering.

00:36:28.480 My kids haven't seen their father in almost 600 days.

00:36:32.620 My husband, Ryan, is a U.S. Marine veteran that served his country honorably, and he has been in torturous, long, solitary confinement conditions in the D.C. jail going on 19 months now due to his participation in the January 6th protest.

00:36:53.560 He went to the Capitol on January 6th to peacefully protest and petition the government for a redress of grievances.

00:37:03.020 And since then, him and many others have been held without bond, denied their due process, discriminated and tortured in many different ways due to their political ideology.

00:37:18.020 And it's horrific and it's horrific and egregious what's happening to not only them, but also the family and the children that are also suffering on the outside, having to hold the fort down and continue on without dad.

00:37:31.260 It's really hard right now.

00:37:33.420 It sounds terrible.

00:37:37.580 And it's the reason we're talking, because too few people know what is happening.

00:37:44.440 Almost two years will have gone by by the time we get to January of 2023, coming up here in just a matter of a few months.

00:37:55.940 What support have you received from the Republican Party, from the Trump campaign organizations?

00:38:07.180 We have not received any support as of right now from any Republicans or congressmen or women.

00:38:17.940 It seems like they haven't been wanting to speak up about this due to maybe their reputation or what have you.

00:38:29.980 But you would think that, you know, the people that we elect to represent us that take an oath to defend our Constitution and take a stand for the people would have a little bit more heart to care about what's going on to their citizens and constituents

00:38:48.620 and how they're being denied their constitutional rights and being tortured right in the backyard of the White House due to them protesting peacefully and standing up for our First Amendment rights to, you know, just have our freedom of speech.

00:39:08.520 And it's wrong what's happening.

00:39:10.320 It's wrong that it's going on two years, that nothing is being done about this, and we're not getting the help.

00:39:15.780 None of these January 6th defendants are getting the help that we need to, you know, participate in our legal fees, to participate and fight our case,

00:39:25.800 to be able to get the finances that we need to hire attorneys and investigators to figure out the truth about what's happening and what happened on January 6th.

00:39:34.520 It's taken almost 19 months just to get some of these videos released that counter and tell a completely different story than what the January 6th committee is pushing

00:39:43.820 and the narrative that the mainstream media is pushing, and we need help.

00:39:48.360 We need help.

00:39:49.100 If nothing else, if we can't get the help from these politicians and Republicans, then we need help from the American people because who's going to be next?

00:39:58.800 Is it going to be you?

00:40:00.260 Because I would not want this to happen to anybody else, what's happened to my family and many others.

00:40:05.200 Well, it's tragic.

00:40:10.500 It is infuriating, and I know at least some of the emotions that you certainly and your family are feeling, and Ryan, a USMC veteran,

00:40:25.480 is the VA helping him at all because there's been suggestions that he needs greater care, obviously.

00:40:34.980 What is the VA doing here?

00:40:38.380 The VA hasn't done anything.

00:40:40.840 I've had many wives share with me that their husbands lost their VA benefits before ever being convicted or having their day in court.

00:40:51.340 Ryan has underlying health conditions like PTSD, and being in solitary confinement really takes a toll on his mental health.

00:41:01.100 But, no, the VA hasn't done anything.

00:41:03.540 The jail is denying him medical treatment.

00:41:06.460 And if you could just imagine going into your shed or into a garage, a 7-by-10-foot room in the dark with none of your essentials for just one 24-hour period or maybe a week or even a month,

00:41:24.860 but you can't even begin to imagine sitting in a room for 19 months, not able to see your family, not able to see your children.

00:41:34.340 You have no criminal history, being denied bond, not being able to get your discovery to properly prepare for your case,

00:41:42.620 not able to go outside for weeks at a time, not able to have a haircut or a shave or to be able to clip your fingernails,

00:41:50.500 not getting the proper food and nutrition that you need.

00:41:53.560 They steal the chicken in the jail when we try to buy chicken for these guys so that they have some type of protein.

00:41:59.440 I mean, the list goes on and on, some of the treatment that the warden of the jail has posted on Twitter,

00:42:08.700 how she hates Trump and all of these explicit tweets that have gone viral, and nothing is being done about it.

00:42:16.400 And these are the people that are holding our veterans captive and treating them, torturing them, many, many of these guys,

00:42:25.860 because they supported Trump.

00:42:28.740 And if you're going to stand for anything in your lifetime, whether you're left-leaning, right-leaning, whatever it may be,

00:42:37.880 I challenge you to take a stand for the sake of the next generation that's going to have to put up with this egregious treatment

00:42:48.200 for standing up for your First Amendment rights and peacefully protesting.

00:42:53.380 If we don't take a stand and say, no, this is wrong, and no American should have to go through this,

00:42:59.420 then our grandchildren are going to have to suffer because we didn't do a damn thing about it.

00:43:04.340 And that's what really doesn't sit well with me, because this isn't just happening to my family.

00:43:08.620 This is happening to hundreds of other Americans.

00:43:11.460 And next, it's going to be you if we don't do something about it,

00:43:16.080 and if we don't hold our politicians accountable for doing their job.

00:43:22.420 Well, I'll say this.

00:43:24.680 As I listen to you, Bonnie, I think, first of all, how fortunate Ryan is to have you as his wife,

00:43:33.620 your strength, your passion.

00:43:37.540 God bless you, and thank you.

00:43:40.300 Thank you.

00:43:40.760 The country has got to get up off its heels and move forward.

00:43:48.040 This is a Justice Department and an FBI, a federal judiciary that has lost its mind

00:43:55.540 and is absolutely politically corrupt, and that Americans could do this to other Americans,

00:44:02.340 deny them their constitutional rights.

00:44:04.280 And for any of us, Ryan Nichols will be in jail two years and never have a trial.

00:44:13.000 He will be in jail two years and have charges of what?

00:44:19.520 My husband, Ryan Nichols, was recently thrown in a hole a few months ago for punitive reasons,

00:44:29.480 because he has been filing grievances on behalf of the treatment

00:44:34.160 and documenting what's been going on in the jail so that we can prepare for a civil lawsuit to shut this place down.

00:44:40.660 And he was retaliated against.

00:44:42.780 He was thrown in the hole, and this later led to his water being shut off.

00:44:48.560 The inmate in the jail next to him, in the cell next to him, later hung himself because of this.

00:44:55.180 Ryan was led to suicide watch because they would not give him the proper mental health treatment that he needed for his underlying PTSD conditions.

00:45:04.800 He was put on suicide watch.

00:45:07.300 For three days, they strapped him to a bench in a plastic suit and taunted and laughed

00:45:13.120 and proceeded to torture him to make him want to commit suicide.

00:45:18.840 We recently filed a habeas petition.

00:45:22.180 My attorney, Joseph McBride, has been working extremely hard to uncover what's been going on in the jail.

00:45:28.520 And just over the last week, we filed this petition and served the jail.

00:45:33.060 And now yesterday, one of the guards that came in to the jail that was named in the lawsuit proceeded to spray all of these inmates with O.C. spray

00:45:45.040 for not wearing their mask up over their nose.

00:45:48.820 And now these guys are being thrown back in solitary confinement.

00:45:52.940 And this is all retaliation because we're trying to hold the jail accountable for the treatment, and we're speaking out about it.

00:45:59.320 And so these guys are being retaliated against, and something needs to be done about this.

00:46:04.520 We're not going to stop.

00:46:05.580 We're going to keep talking about it because this is wrong, and it cannot continue.

00:46:10.660 We need the help of the American people.

00:46:12.720 Well, let's talk about that.

00:46:16.640 Anybody who feels like it, and I hope you all do, let's send some money Bonnie's way for her family and for Ryan's family.

00:46:28.500 And we're going to put up on the website a Give, Send, Go address, and we'd like you to, if you will, if you feel like it, send some help Bonnie's way.

00:46:44.360 And the address is, well, go to ludabs.com.

00:46:47.380 You can click on the J6 Defense Funds tab.

00:46:50.080 You can also click on the description of the podcast episode for the link to Give, Send, Go, irrespective of the podcast platform you're using.

00:47:00.900 And you can go to givesendgo.com.

00:47:04.500 Search for Free My Patriot Prisoner by Bonnie and Ryan Nichols.

00:47:08.960 Any help you can give will be deeply appreciated by all of us in this country.

00:47:15.320 And please, you know, let's help these folks out.

00:47:20.020 And I have to tell you, there's going to be a lot of people to help.

00:47:24.300 We're looking at so many people who have been ensnared in this outrageous political persecution, and that's what it is.

00:47:35.300 And I want to say this.

00:47:37.820 Let's not get confused about Democrats and Republicans.

00:47:40.920 Both parties have their failings, but the Democrats have authored all of this.

00:47:46.440 This is a Marxist-Dem-led Democrat party.

00:47:51.000 These judges, these prosecutors, these federal prosecutors and judges are no better than the criminals that these prisoners are accused of being, let me assure you.

00:48:07.800 And all of them have higher moral standards than do these judges and these prosecutors.

00:48:15.820 And we've got to do something about it.

00:48:17.980 And I want to say this.

00:48:19.840 There's no doubt in my mind in the larger issue, Bonnie, right now it is Joe Biden who should be in that 7x10 cell.

00:48:28.860 It's his family that's politically corrupt.

00:48:31.460 This is the man who lied to the American people in the second presidential debate.

00:48:35.520 This is the man who's been taking money from the public trough for 50 years.

00:48:40.980 He's had his snout in that trough 50 years.

00:48:45.240 It has five houses, mansions, whatever you want to call them.

00:48:48.820 And nobody wants to ask a question.

00:48:50.760 His son has been under investigation for four years and hasn't spent an hour behind bars.

00:48:55.900 Isn't that interesting?

00:48:56.520 Interesting.

00:48:57.480 And we know for a fact that he's a criminal, whether it's gun laws, whether it is drug laws, whether it is influence peddling, it's all him and the Biden family.

00:49:08.440 There's no doubt about it.

00:49:09.500 So let's all get over this radical idea that the Dems are corrupt through and through in their leadership with the deep state.

00:49:17.920 And let's get also clear about who the criminals are.

00:49:22.600 It was Capitol Police Lieutenant Michael Byrd who shot and killed a defenseless demonstrator and protester, a U.S. Air Force veteran.

00:49:33.860 But it's he was cleared, Ashley Babbitt.

00:49:40.260 It's just it's just pains me to think of what we're doing in this country and what in the world is being done to these hundreds of political prisoners who are distributed across all sorts of federal jails and prisons.

00:49:56.440 Your thoughts, Bonnie?

00:49:59.040 You're exactly right, Lou.

00:50:00.640 And these guys are being made an example out of to to discourage any other American for standing up for their constitutional rights.

00:50:10.640 They are making the painting these guys to be insurrectionists and terrorists.

00:50:16.140 And that is far from the truth.

00:50:17.340 My husband served his country honorably.

00:50:19.380 He has not been convicted of any crime.

00:50:21.420 He has no criminal history.

00:50:23.320 He has he owns a nonprofit called Rescue the Universe.

00:50:26.660 And that's what he does.

00:50:27.840 That's his passion is to go around the nation to rescue animals, children, women and elderly from natural disasters and hurricanes and storms.

00:50:36.860 My husband is a hero in his community.

00:50:39.260 He's not a terrorist.

00:50:40.660 He got a good conduct anti-terrorism medal in the Marine Corps while he served his country.

00:50:47.240 Now he's being denied his constitutional rights and painted as an evil person.

00:50:52.080 And that is far from the truth.

00:50:53.780 But this is what they want you to believe.

00:50:55.460 They're painting a one-sided narrative.

00:50:57.660 They're censoring anybody that tries to speak up and tell the truth.

00:51:01.800 The January 6th committee is telling a one-sided narrative.

00:51:06.300 And we're not going to get a fair trial in D.C.

00:51:08.560 They've already slandered them across the entire nation by publicizing these January 6th hearings all over the world.

00:51:18.460 I had people in Ireland that saw these hearings.

00:51:22.080 And this is the exact same thing that happened with Oliver North and the Watergate trials where they did the same thing.

00:51:29.200 And this is history repeating itself.

00:51:31.800 And we're too worried about these Johnny Depp hearings and what's going on on TikTok to be – and we're distracted by the truth of how our freedoms are being slowly taken away.

00:51:41.900 And it may not happen in our lifetime, but you better damn sure bet yourself that it's going to happen to your children and your grandchildren.

00:51:49.260 And if you don't want to be sitting out on your back porch one day cheering to your grandkids how America was once free, then I challenge you to stand up for something in your lifetime that actually means something and will impact the next generation.

00:52:02.420 And that's exactly what my husband was doing.

00:52:04.820 He went there on January 6th because it was going to be a historical day to watch President Trump speak.

00:52:09.780 It was a peaceful protest until officers were throwing flashbangs and tear gas and killing and attacking and beating women and children in the crowd.

00:52:18.420 They incited the violence.

00:52:20.480 They entrapped these men and women with undercover FBI agents that they denied.

00:52:25.820 And now they're saying that it is true that there were undercover agents in the crowd.

00:52:30.200 And they are the ones that these guys – that's the reason why these guys are still in there right now.

00:52:35.360 And they're trying to cover it up and make these guys break mentally so that they can plea out, so they can continue to cover up the truth.

00:52:42.060 And that's exactly what they're doing.

00:52:43.800 And they're going to do this to anybody else as well unless we do something about it.

00:52:48.420 And these Republicans need to do something about it.

00:52:53.020 I agree.

00:52:53.520 Who is your senator – who are your senators and congressmen?

00:52:58.080 My attorney general is Ken Paxton.

00:53:01.860 Louie Gomer is one of our representatives over here.

00:53:06.740 And then Dan Crenshaw is another one of our senators.

00:53:10.700 And they're not – Louie Gomer has done more for us and Marjorie Taylor Greene and other senators and congressmen and women that aren't even representing us.

00:53:22.460 And that's the issue that I really have is we've tried to get meetings with Ken Paxton.

00:53:28.400 Dan Crenshaw won't even go and see the jail.

00:53:30.660 There's a video of him going public saying, what am I supposed to do about this? 1.00

00:53:35.480 You're supposed to do your damn job. 0.98

00:53:37.180 And if you can't do your job, then get out of the way because these people are being tortured. 0.99

00:53:41.920 And it's not you.

00:53:43.480 You're sitting there comfortable in the comfort of your home while these guys are being tortured.

00:53:49.140 They're being told to chew their toenails off.

00:53:51.720 They've got pubic hair and chemicals in their food that they're being forced to eat. 0.99

00:53:56.720 They're being assaulted and discriminated against on a daily basis with no end in sight.

00:54:02.720 And nobody is going down to the jail to check on these conditions.

00:54:07.340 Nobody is going down to the jail to speak with them, to help, to raise funds, to take a stand for what's happening to these American citizens.

00:54:14.720 And we have to hold them accountable.

00:54:16.360 We have to make sure that they do their job, or we need to get them out so that somebody else can be elected in that's going to take a stand.

00:54:22.720 It's not going to be scared to do so.

00:54:28.740 I'm sitting here thinking, your attorney general, there's very little he can do because it's a federal case, and he is a state attorney general.

00:54:37.560 But your congressman, is it Dan Crenshaw?

00:54:42.480 Yes, sir.

00:54:44.400 And he's done nothing?

00:54:45.540 He is a veteran.

00:54:46.900 He is a wounded veteran.

00:54:48.540 Exactly.

00:54:50.380 You're exactly right.

00:54:51.640 A former SEAL.

00:54:52.680 And he will do nothing.

00:54:54.220 What does his office say when you call?

00:54:57.240 I don't get a response.

00:54:58.920 And he went on a viral video during a press conference, and a reporter asked him what he was doing for the January 6th defendants.

00:55:09.920 And he said, what am I supposed to do?

00:55:12.720 He hasn't even tried to do anything.

00:55:16.980 They're more worried about other things than they are worried about these veterans' rights.

00:55:22.880 And that's not what we elected him for.

00:55:26.120 And Lloyd Gohmert, I know, has been to the jails.

00:55:30.520 He's talked with many of the prisoners.

00:55:32.860 I know he's been trying.

00:55:34.320 I know that Marjorie Taylor Greene has as well, and I'm sure there are at least some others.

00:55:40.600 But those two, I know.

00:55:41.520 And we need more to stand with them, because they can't do it by themselves.

00:55:46.540 They need all the Republicans to come together and take a stand with them.

00:55:51.540 Well, they certainly do.

00:55:54.760 And, Bonnie, I have to just say, you're a wonderful advocate for your husband, for all of the political prisoners of the January 6th atrocity that is now going on two years.

00:56:09.560 It is, you know, I wish I could say something that would change this in a moment.

00:56:15.640 There is nothing that I can say, but there is much that we can all together do.

00:56:20.460 To begin to fix this horrible outrage.

00:56:25.020 Let me tell you what a few of the things are that I think we should do.

00:56:28.580 We're going to be talking with Senator Cruz and Senator Cronin.

00:56:32.220 I will be speaking out every day now on this issue.

00:56:37.300 And we're going to make your congressman, I assure you, think that we're amongst his constituents.

00:56:43.520 We're not, but we're sure as hell going to represent those who are being ignored.

00:56:48.920 And who are being brutalized as if this were a Russian gulag.

00:56:55.540 This is America.

00:56:57.000 You couldn't convince Joe Biden of that or Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer or Kamala Harris.

00:57:02.920 But, by God, we're going to make them wonder just how far off base they were when they started to take over this country with their Marxist madness.

00:57:11.620 This ends here, and we're going to begin to get it done.

00:57:17.940 I guarantee you that.

00:57:20.640 We always give our guests the last word here.

00:57:23.880 And, by the way, when I talked about Capitol Police Lieutenant Michael Byrd, who shot and killed Ashley Babbitt, we're going to demand that that case be opened up again.

00:57:34.620 And you know what we're going to do?

00:57:36.740 We're going to demand it at the Department of Justice, the most rancid, corrupt political department in all of government.

00:57:43.420 But we're going to start that demand right now.

00:57:46.660 He should be held accountable, and so should every SOB who covered up for him.

00:57:53.900 It ends now.

00:57:55.600 We cannot tolerate any more of this.

00:57:58.300 Because the inhumane treatment, the brutality by our government is unspeakable.

00:58:06.700 And you get the last word here, Bonnie, and I thank you for joining us here today.

00:58:13.480 Thank you, Lou.

00:58:14.340 I appreciate you having me on.

00:58:16.340 And, America, anybody that's listening that feels moved by this and would like to support, we ask that you help us financially.

00:58:25.040 We ask that you help us with your prayers.

00:58:26.960 We ask that you write these guys letters and help them remember that they're not forgotten and that they are loved and supported by many.

00:58:34.240 We ask that if you feel called to donate, please go to our GiveSendGo.

00:58:37.920 And there are many other January 6th defendants that are still being brutally tortured in the D.C. jail, and they need your help, too.

00:58:46.760 There's many wives and children that don't even remember who their father looks like.

00:58:51.020 My son doesn't remember what his dad looks like.

00:58:54.340 They haven't seen their father in almost two years.

00:58:56.960 And these women are losing their homes. 1.00

00:58:59.160 They're losing their entire life and everything that they once knew.

00:59:02.420 And we need help.

00:59:03.700 So we ask that you donate to our GiveSendGo.

00:59:06.380 Keep us in your prayers.

00:59:07.500 Write them letters.

00:59:08.480 And other January 6th defendants, if you'd like to donate to them, you can go to PatriotFreedomProject.com.

00:59:14.080 These attorneys are doing massive work trying to uncover the truth, but they need more help.

00:59:19.280 They're taking on the United States Department of Justice.

00:59:22.460 We need hundreds of attorneys. 0.92

00:59:23.960 We can't do this on our own.

00:59:25.540 So if you're an attorney or if you know somebody, please refer us over to Joseph McBride, my attorney.

00:59:31.000 He'd be happy to speak with you and help point you in the right direction so that we can help these families because we can't do it on our own.

00:59:40.560 Absolutely.

00:59:41.640 And as of right now, you're not going to have to be alone anymore.

00:59:45.260 I guarantee it.

00:59:46.120 But the American people, the American people will put their arms around you.

00:59:52.640 God bless you.

00:59:53.940 And thanks so much, Bonnie Nichols.

00:59:57.400 Thank you.

00:59:59.020 Thank you, Bonnie.

01:00:00.300 Bonnie Nichols, a great American.

01:00:02.060 And for all you listeners, if you would like to donate to Ryan's Fund, you can do so by heading over to LouDobbs.com, click on the January 6th Fund, or click on the link in the description of this episode.

01:00:18.980 Our guest tomorrow will be American hero, Chad Robichaux.

01:00:22.800 Eight deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.

01:00:25.900 He's a former Marine who's rescued thousands of our allies in Afghanistan and, in fact, all around the world.

01:00:32.500 Please join us here tomorrow.

01:00:34.600 Until then, God bless you.

01:00:36.580 And may God bless America.
