00:06:00.500But I think, you know, right where you stand as a leader, when the minority leader, Hakeem Jeffries, puts out a press statement that says he's going to save you if there is an offer to the motion to vacate.
00:06:12.440Keep in mind, Lou, this is the party that doesn't know what a man or a woman is.
00:06:17.280You know, it's all about, you know, killing as many babies as they can.
00:06:20.940They're the architects behind the completely open border.
00:06:24.560They're the party that wants to defund the police.
00:06:26.800And so if that party is saying, hey, you know, we're we're willing and ready to save you, that would tell me a lot as a leader about where I stand and that I'm really not getting the job done.
00:06:38.540And Hakeem Jeffries, to your point, goes on 60 Minutes and brags that the Democrats are the majority party, in effect, because they're the ones backing backing the speaker and getting the and with the votes right now.
00:06:58.960Well, honestly, Lou, I'm really not surprised.
00:07:01.960I mean, that's Hakeem Jeffries is not the only one saying that.
00:07:05.080And sadly, that's you know, that's a feature of the uniparty that many of us talk and talk and talk about how, you know, our party Republicans, they go out on the campaign trail.
00:07:17.760They talk to voters and they they say, you know, tell them all these things that we're going to get done.
00:07:22.300And then the moment they get up here, it's as if they completely forgot what they said, who they represent or what the people that vote for us actually want, need and deserve.
00:08:03.260Let me let me turn to, if I may, the issue of why would somebody not if they're going to be all these challenges to conservatives in their home districts that I know you're one of them who's facing a challenger.
00:08:16.940And we'll get into that. But why wouldn't somebody challenge this speaker in his home district, the fourth district in Louisiana and go after Mike Johnson?
00:08:29.820Well, I would just guess that one of the reasons is, is because they see him as extremely powerful.
00:08:35.200I mean, he's, you know, third in line to be president.
00:08:37.960He has a ton of money and better name ID than, you know, most people in the country.
00:08:43.760I mean, those those are the things that your political consultants, you know, look at when they're looking for, hey, who can who can challenge you, who can beat who?
00:08:52.200And so I think that's really what you're dealing with.
00:08:55.440But as far as the rest of us that are being challenged, Lou, right now in primaries and largely by the old speaker, Kevin McCarthy, I'm honored to be on that list, Lou.

00:12:12.320And Congressman, I just have to ask you, do you think there's ever been a time this screwball in the country's history, you know, leaving out the Civil War period?

00:12:28.300And I've I've covered this this political nightmare for a long time than the cesspool that is the swamp.

00:12:48.840This is definitely the worst I've seen it in my lifetime.
00:12:50.840And, you know, growing up as a young kid, you know, being told by my parents that, you know, how blessed we were to grow up here and that freedom isn't free.
00:12:59.140And they would point out individuals in the service to me and my brothers and, you know, folks in law enforcement and first responders and make sure that we respected those folks and thanked them because they were a big part of the reason that we got to grow up in such an amazing place.
00:13:13.500I can honestly tell you, Lou, I never thought I'd see the day one that I'd be up here serving, but two, that our country would be in dire straits at so many, so many critical points.
00:13:25.060Right. And which would you be, what do you think of as the most critical right now, the threats, the vulnerabilities to this country?
00:13:36.920Yeah, Lou, I think priority number one has to be the border.
00:13:40.340I mean, there's just so much coming through that open border that is a threat to our citizens and our way of life.
00:13:47.140I mean, you start working your way down from individuals on the terror watch list, you know, and the increase that we've seen, 350 under this administration, I think it was 14 under the last administration.
00:13:59.420That doesn't even count the gotaways, probably up to like 1.9 million at this point.
00:14:04.000We don't know who those people are, where they're going, what their intentions are.
00:14:07.860And you don't know if any of them were able to get through, you know, any weaponry, weapons of mass destruction.
00:14:13.360Keep in mind, Lou, there's 140 tunnels, at least that we know of under the southern border, that could be used to transport some of those things that I'm talking about.
00:14:22.820Then you start talking about the 100,000 a year that are dying by fentanyl alone, you know, families being destroyed by crime, MS-13 gang members, and on and on.
00:14:33.180And child sex trafficking, it's the number one issue.
00:14:39.940But unfortunately, you know this better than anyone because you've been covering this for so long.
00:14:44.740This administration has no desire whatsoever to remedy and fix the problem that they've created.
00:14:50.480Yeah, it's stunning to see the American people just basically tolerate this administration, knowing full well that they're responsible for turning over that border to the Mexican drug cartels.
00:15:04.060The Biden regime is responsible for everything you just listed because those cartels are bringing in sex trafficking, illegal drugs, illegal aliens, and the list goes on.

00:15:20.580Let me ask you, as you watch this administration, this president, a puppet president, admittedly, but this president and his administration, they have actually done everything absolutely backwards that you could imagine.
00:15:36.860In the case of Israel, instead of supporting them fully and with every ounce of our reserves here in this country to make certain their military is running, they're withholding aid, they're withholding ammunition now and telling the Israelis to hold an election, have a ceasefire.
00:16:02.180It doesn't matter what Hamas is doing, too. I mean, this is just incredible stuff that we're watching.
00:16:08.420No, it is. It is, Lou. I mean, you go back and you just go down the list from what they did on day one with the border, what they've done in energy and canceling, closing down the Keystone XL pipeline.
00:16:19.340You look at what they did in Afghanistan. I mean, so many of my friends, you know, that are veterans are still struggling with that today.
00:16:27.160I mean, you look at what they've done in inner cities, you know, some of these sanctuary cities and the crime rates, the murder rates going up.
00:16:34.360You look at what they've done with the economy and the, you know, 40, 40 year high record inflation that we're seeing.
00:16:39.780You're right, Lou. It's almost like every single time there's a big decision point, you know, they figure out what the what the smart, wise, prudent thing would be to do.
00:16:48.480And then they do the exact opposite. And I'm just really hoping that enough Americans, you know, are feeling I don't want to see any Americans feel pain,
00:16:56.660but I'm hoping, you know, that they see the correlation and they're ready to correct this come this November,
00:17:02.040because I don't know how much time the this country and our infrastructure and our families and these communities can stand it.
00:17:09.080Yeah, I think you're right. And, you know, I worry most about what we've already squandered.
00:17:15.320This country is now we're looking at thirty seven trillion dollars in debt.

00:20:26.660And one of them is that the call for a mistrial in the so-called Stormy Daniels trial in New York.
00:20:34.120It is a clear, clear miscarriage of justice.
00:20:37.760And it looks like that's going to be a problem for the Marxist Dems and the Biden regime, because they look like fools right now after her antics and remarks on the witness stand.
00:20:55.520In my opinion, they can't even overcome it.
00:21:00.140And also in Florida, Judge Eileen Cannon postponing the documents case against President Trump indefinitely because of the tampering with evidence by the special counsel himself, Jack Smith.
00:21:19.320I mean, these are big wins and these are big wins by one man standing against all of the Marxist Dems, the corrupt courts of New York and Georgia and the District of Columbia.
00:22:22.560What what most of us would give her some more of those mean tweets.
00:22:26.500There is another issue, though, to one of the things that is discomforting me.
00:22:33.060And I as you know, I'm through and through Trump supporter.
00:22:38.060But I am I am really worried about what President Trump is reported to have said to Marjorie Taylor Greene, asking her to call off the attacks on Mike Johnson.
00:22:50.780And I hope that's not true because and I hope it's not true what they say about Kevin McCarthy, for example, that he is on a list for the you know, to be the the the chief of the of the new administration.
00:23:08.680It's it's very discomforting to think that this there's truth to this.
00:23:13.120I want to get your reaction to that as well.
00:23:15.660Yeah, I don't know if President Trump weighed in personally with with Marjorie Taylor Greene or not.
00:23:22.460I did see some reports that he wasn't exactly thrilled about the prospect of another round of motion to vacate.
00:23:29.220As far as the Kevin McCarthy thing, obviously, I would be extremely disappointed if that was the president's choice.
00:23:35.320You know, he's earned the right to pick whoever he wants.
00:23:37.260And if he chooses to pick Kevin McCarthy, you know, that's his right.
00:23:40.720I think he'll end up being disappointed like like the American people have been with Kevin McCarthy and just his inability to serve the American people because he's been a politician for so long.
00:23:53.620And he's been bought and sold by so many lobbyists and special interest groups that he can no longer represent the American people.
00:24:00.540And that's that's often the problem with a lot of politicians that have been doing this for, you know, 10, 20 years is they forget why they're why they're here.
00:24:09.220And they end up, you know, being, you know, slaves to the folks that have have the money, you know, and the special interest, the lobbying, lobbying, you know, communities, et cetera.
00:24:20.760And the American people are tired of it, Lou.
00:24:23.460And so I hope the president doesn't pick Kevin McCarthy.
00:24:26.280But like I said, if even if he does, that's his decision.
00:24:29.700And, you know, I'm going to continue to fight for him every single day just because I think that honestly, he's the best chance that we have at turning this country around.
00:24:37.940And, Lou, I hate to put that on one man because he shouldn't have to carry as much weight as he's carried.
00:24:44.840But when I look around the House and I look around the Senate and I look around this place,
00:24:49.500there's so few people up here that are actually willing to put their political career on the line daily to do the right thing for the American people,
00:24:55.820knowing that the uniparty in the swamp is going to continue to come after us, try and get us out of, kick us out of here,
00:25:02.360let alone dealing with our weaponized bureaucracies in federal government who are trying to regularly arrest Americans that are trying to call them,
00:25:11.120you know, call them out, illuminate and expose everything, every dirty deed that they're trying to do.
00:25:17.120And so continue to pray for this country.
00:25:20.060I honestly believe, Lou, that a lot of what we're seeing is spiritual, you know, has spiritual foundations.
00:25:26.340I believe that when you try and push God out of everything, this is exactly what you get.
00:25:30.680I don't believe that, you know, God's done with this country, but I'm honored to be up here and I'm going to keep fighting.
