00:03:43.060 Give us a sense of what went down today, because there were rumors that Marjorie Taylor Greene was going to move the motion.

00:03:57.460 Yeah, Lou, I can give you my perspective on it.
00:04:00.140 I wasn't involved in any of those meetings with Marjorie Taylor Greene or the Speaker.
00:04:05.060 From what I'm told, they're trying to compromise and find a consensus on what they want to do moving forward.
00:04:13.600 And from what I've heard, the things that, you know, are being asked for would probably be pretty good for the country.
00:04:20.100 So, you know, I hope that, you know, we're able to the leadership is able to accommodate some of those requests,

00:06:38.540 And Hakeem Jeffries, to your point, goes on 60 Minutes and brags that the Democrats are the majority party, in effect, because they're the ones backing backing the speaker and getting the and with the votes right now.

00:07:01.960 I mean, that's Hakeem Jeffries is not the only one saying that.
00:07:05.080 And sadly, that's you know, that's a feature of the uniparty that many of us talk and talk and talk about how, you know, our party Republicans, they go out on the campaign trail.

00:07:17.760 They talk to voters and they they say, you know, tell them all these things that we're going to get done.
00:07:22.300 And then the moment they get up here, it's as if they completely forgot what they said, who they represent or what the people that vote for us actually want, need and deserve.

00:08:03.260 Let me let me turn to, if I may, the issue of why would somebody not if they're going to be all these challenges to conservatives in their home districts that I know you're one of them who's facing a challenger.
00:08:16.940 And we'll get into that. But why wouldn't somebody challenge this speaker in his home district, the fourth district in Louisiana and go after Mike Johnson?
00:08:29.820 Well, I would just guess that one of the reasons is, is because they see him as extremely powerful.

00:08:37.960 He has a ton of money and better name ID than, you know, most people in the country.
00:08:43.760 I mean, those those are the things that your political consultants, you know, look at when they're looking for, hey, who can who can challenge you, who can beat who?

00:08:55.440 But as far as the rest of us that are being challenged, Lou, right now in primaries and largely by the old speaker, Kevin McCarthy, I'm honored to be on that list, Lou.

00:12:12.320 And Congressman, I just have to ask you, do you think there's ever been a time this screwball in the country's history, you know, leaving out the Civil War period?
00:12:24.480 I mean, this is just I've never seen the likes of it.
00:12:28.300 And I've I've covered this this political nightmare for a long time than the cesspool that is the swamp.

00:13:13.500 I can honestly tell you, Lou, I never thought I'd see the day one that I'd be up here serving, but two, that our country would be in dire straits at so many, so many critical points.
00:13:25.060 Right. And which would you be, what do you think of as the most critical right now, the threats, the vulnerabilities to this country?

00:13:36.920 Yeah, Lou, I think priority number one has to be the border.
00:13:40.340 I mean, there's just so much coming through that open border that is a threat to our citizens and our way of life.
00:13:47.140 I mean, you start working your way down from individuals on the terror watch list, you know, and the increase that we've seen, 350 under this administration, I think it was 14 under the last administration.
00:13:59.420 That doesn't even count the gotaways, probably up to like 1.9 million at this point.

00:14:07.860 And you don't know if any of them were able to get through, you know, any weaponry, weapons of mass destruction.

00:15:20.580 Let me ask you, as you watch this administration, this president, a puppet president, admittedly, but this president and his administration, they have actually done everything absolutely backwards that you could imagine.
00:15:36.860 In the case of Israel, instead of supporting them fully and with every ounce of our reserves here in this country to make certain their military is running, they're withholding aid, they're withholding ammunition now and telling the Israelis to hold an election, have a ceasefire.

00:16:08.420 No, it is. It is, Lou. I mean, you go back and you just go down the list from what they did on day one with the border, what they've done in energy and canceling, closing down the Keystone XL pipeline.
00:16:19.340 You look at what they did in Afghanistan. I mean, so many of my friends, you know, that are veterans are still struggling with that today.
00:16:27.160 I mean, you look at what they've done in inner cities, you know, some of these sanctuary cities and the crime rates, the murder rates going up.

00:16:39.780 You're right, Lou. It's almost like every single time there's a big decision point, you know, they figure out what the what the smart, wise, prudent thing would be to do.

00:20:26.660 And one of them is that the call for a mistrial in the so-called Stormy Daniels trial in New York.

00:20:37.760 And it looks like that's going to be a problem for the Marxist Dems and the Biden regime, because they look like fools right now after her antics and remarks on the witness stand.

00:21:00.140 And also in Florida, Judge Eileen Cannon postponing the documents case against President Trump indefinitely because of the tampering with evidence by the special counsel himself, Jack Smith.

00:23:15.660 Yeah, I don't know if President Trump weighed in personally with with Marjorie Taylor Greene or not.
00:23:22.460 I did see some reports that he wasn't exactly thrilled about the prospect of another round of motion to vacate.
00:23:29.220 As far as the Kevin McCarthy thing, obviously, I would be extremely disappointed if that was the president's choice.
00:23:35.320 You know, he's earned the right to pick whoever he wants.
00:23:37.260 And if he chooses to pick Kevin McCarthy, you know, that's his right.
00:23:40.720 I think he'll end up being disappointed like like the American people have been with Kevin McCarthy and just his inability to serve the American people because he's been a politician for so long.
00:23:53.620 And he's been bought and sold by so many lobbyists and special interest groups that he can no longer represent the American people.
00:24:00.540 And that's that's often the problem with a lot of politicians that have been doing this for, you know, 10, 20 years is they forget why they're why they're here.
