00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Friday, January 16th.
00:00:06.100 Happy Friday, folks.
00:00:07.540 President Trump this afternoon confirming that he no longer plans to strike Iran after the regime canceled the planned execution of some protesters.
00:00:16.760 Trump has repeatedly threatened to utilize the U.S. military to free the people of Iran.
00:00:21.220 However, this afternoon, President Trump told reporters that he had been notified that executions of protesters had been canceled,
00:00:28.280 suggesting that the military action may be off the table.
00:00:31.140 President Trump said he's going to see and watch what happens and how the process plays out on anything further.
00:00:37.320 But he confirmed this afternoon, as I said, that nobody convinced him but himself that the military action was unnecessary
00:00:43.360 and that the canceling of the hangings had been an impact on the decision that he'd made.
00:00:49.060 A reporter asked President Trump if Israeli officials convinced him that not to strike Iran.
00:00:53.500 And the president replied nobody convinced him. It was all on himself.
00:00:57.060 But it reiterated that the canceling of the 800 hangings of protesters did play a role in why he decided not to strike.
00:01:06.840 Hunter Biden's ex-lover, Ludin Roberts, who's the mother of his young daughter, wants him arrested as trouble brews regarding their child support deal.
00:01:16.400 In 2020, Hunter Biden agreed to pay child support to Roberts ahead of a hearing in which he faced the prospect of being inheld in contempt of court.
00:01:24.040 The New York Post reporting this afternoon that Hunter's daughter, Navy Joan, is asking an Arkansas judge to reopen the long-running case between the former lovers
00:01:36.320 and arrest the felonious 55-year-old until he complies with the agreement that they settled on in 2023.
00:01:43.740 Hunter initially agreed to give some of the proceeds of his artwork to the child,
00:01:48.260 while her mother abandoned her, demanded that the child take her father's last name,
00:01:52.460 and agreed that child support payments could be reduced from $20,000 to down to $5,000.
00:01:57.460 The New York Post noted that a court-ordered DNA test showed that Hunter is indeed the girl's father. 0.82
00:02:02.860 I guess it comes as no surprise, folks, that Hunter Biden is just another deadbeat loser, just as we knew him to be. 0.92
00:02:11.840 I guess it runs in the family. 0.95
00:02:13.240 Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson was in court this afternoon,
00:02:17.220 as his attorneys seek to disqualify prosecutors in the case claiming a conflict of interests.
00:02:24.000 Robinson's attorneys allege that there's a personal relationship that raises concerns
00:02:27.760 about past and future prosecution decisions making this case,
00:02:33.380 citing the 18-year-old child of a deputy court attorney who attended the campus event
00:02:37.740 where Charlie Kirk was killed.
00:02:40.180 After Kirk was killed in Utah Valley University on September 10th,
00:02:43.560 the child texted their father in the Utah County Attorney's Office
00:02:46.500 to describe the chaos that had transpired as the shootings were going on,
00:02:52.260 failing the prosecutors and defense lawyers state.
00:02:54.620 But an affidavit submitted by prosecutors notes that the child of the deputy county attorney
00:03:00.000 did not see the fatal shooting at the outdoor campus event where around 3,000 people attended.
00:03:06.520 I guess this is just a last-ditch effort for Tyler Robinson to somehow maybe try to save himself,
00:03:14.620 not seeing how it's happening.
00:03:16.960 A Latin Kings gang member on Thursday night was arrested for stealing a rifle and ammunition
00:03:21.460 from an ICE vehicle in Minneapolis.
00:03:23.160 We told you about that story yesterday.
00:03:25.340 The Latin Kings are one of the largest Hispanic street gangs in the world. 1.00
00:03:29.860 Riots erupted late last night as an ICE agent shot a shovel-wielding Venezuelan illegal alien in self-defense.
00:03:38.260 The violence and chaos broke out after Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz
00:03:41.900 urged people to stalk, harass, and record ICE agents during his primetime address to his state on Wednesday evening.
00:03:50.780 He's since changed his rhetoric and has asked his fellow Marxist terrorists to tone it down a little bit, 0.61
00:03:58.740 asking also President Trump to tone it down a little bit as Walz continues to stoke the fire.
00:04:04.960 President Trump has announced a board of peace for Gaza and it's officially formed.
00:04:09.420 He himself will chair that board in his 20-point Gaza peace plan that he put out in September.
00:04:17.200 He announced that the members have been finalized and it will be announced very, very shortly as he tries to end that war once and for all over in Gaza.
00:04:28.260 And speaking of President Trump, it seems he is not expected to make an endorsement in the upcoming Texas Senate primary.
00:04:36.160 According to multiple news outlets, Trump has declined to endorse RINO incumbent Senator John Cornyn over Challenger and MAGRA favorite Attorney General Ken Paxton.
00:04:45.480 Senate Majority Leader John Thune has been vocal about re-endorsing and endorsing John Cornyn,
00:04:51.480 who has repeatedly let down his supporters on issues ranging from immigration to gun control.
00:04:56.640 But Cornyn's asking for you to send him back to the Senate for six years.
00:05:00.320 That's how it works, folks.
00:05:01.700 Please be sure to join us tonight, 6 p.m. Eastern Time, Rumble, YouTube, Twitter, and each and every weeknight.
00:05:06.520 For The Great America Show, I'm John Foss with this midday update.
00:05:09.860 Happy Friday, folks.
