00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Friday, March 7th.
00:00:04.700 Happy Friday, folks. We all made it through another week and it's almost time to start the weekend.
00:00:09.900 President Trump revealing this morning on Fox Business that he's ready to start nuclear negotiations
00:00:15.740 with the radical Islamist regime of Iran. Go figure.
00:00:21.500 President Trump saying he hopes they negotiate because it's going to be a lot better for Iran in the long run.
00:00:25.780 President Trump sending them a letter saying the other alternative is that we have to do something
00:00:30.960 because you can't let another nuclear weapon be produced.
00:00:34.140 The letter was addressed to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, who has not yet responded publicly.
00:00:40.840 President Trump says there are two ways Iran can be handled, militarily or you make a deal. 0.51
00:00:46.220 President Trump says he would prefer to make a deal because he's not looking to hurt Iran.
00:00:49.900 They're great people.
00:00:50.960 You may recall President Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal in 2018 during his first term in office.
00:00:58.540 A nuclear deal it wasn't.
00:01:00.440 President Barack Hussein Obama at the time had sent them billions of dollars in cash
00:01:04.920 and they hadn't turned over one weapon or even agreed to stop making or mining or attempting to produce nuclear weapons.
00:01:13.620 So what kind of nuclear deal is that?
00:01:15.240 President Trump looking for a real nuclear deal, a non-Obama era nuclear deal.
00:01:20.100 President Trump also this week modifying tariffs on Mexico and Canada to exclude parts, assembly and farm products
00:01:26.800 as American manufacturing and farming makes a comeback.
00:01:30.620 President Trump, of course, finally resuming his tariffs against Mexico and Canada and, of course, China
00:01:35.420 under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act demanding they cut the flow of illegal immigrants and fentanyl into America.
00:01:42.500 With this, President Trump has brought in nearly $2 trillion in investments in the United States manufacturing industry,
00:01:48.880 including recently from automaker Honda, who announced it would produce its next-generation Civic Hybrid
00:01:54.240 in the United States instead of Mexico to avoid potential tariffs.
00:01:59.460 Now, reciprocal tariffs are set to still start on April 2nd,
00:02:02.860 President Trump noting while implementing the tariffs this week on Mexico and Canada,
00:02:07.980 President Trump signed an executive order placing sweeping reciprocal trades on every country
00:02:12.360 that charges the United States taxes or tariffs on imported goods.
00:02:17.260 According to the White House, this is what the structure looks like for the tariffs.
00:02:20.760 A 25% tariff on goods that do not satisfy U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement, the USMCA.
00:02:27.220 A 10% tariff on those energy products imported from Canada that fall outside the USMCA.
00:02:33.160 A 10% tariff on potash imports from Canada, Mexico that fall outside the USMCA.
00:02:40.700 No tariffs on those goods from Canada and Mexico that claim and qualify for USMCA.
00:02:45.780 And while situations at our northern and southern border continue to require appropriate action
00:02:49.620 from governments of Canada and Mexico, our American automotive industry,
00:02:53.780 which provides American jobs, should not suffer significant disruption
00:02:56.480 just because of the structure of the supply chain.
00:02:59.260 That is a statement from the White House.
00:03:01.280 So, President Trump not playing any games with these folks.
00:03:05.100 President Trump also not playing any games with those folks at the law firms who came after him
00:03:10.460 under Hillary Clinton, under Joe Biden, under Barack Hussein Obama.
00:03:14.720 In fact, just yesterday, President Trump stripped the security clearances of employees
00:03:18.980 at the DNC law firm of Perkins Coie.
00:03:22.220 You recall Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid Perkins Coie more than a million dollars
00:03:26.760 to hire OPPO research firm Fusion GPS to peddle the bogus Trump-Russia dossier,
00:03:32.680 of course, during the 2016 election.
00:03:35.000 Former British spy Christopher Steele compiled over a dozen memos
00:03:38.120 alleging that Russia had blackmail on Trump
00:03:40.100 and that his associates were conspiring with the Kremlin to win the 2016 election.
00:03:45.140 Those memos were made into a largely debunked dossier
00:03:48.580 that was eventually published by BuzzFeed in 2017.
00:03:53.200 Perkins Coie and Hillary Clinton were behind the hoax. 0.55
00:03:55.120 Nobody ever paid the price.
00:03:57.400 Nobody was ever in trouble.
00:03:59.300 And these folks were continued to allow their security clearances
00:04:02.480 and were allowed to do work, national security work,
00:04:05.360 anything they wanted to do with no repercussions.
00:04:08.220 And ActBlue, Democratic donor platform,
00:04:11.320 which has been investigated by a few people,
00:04:13.880 including our good friend over here, James O'Keefe,
00:04:16.700 in big trouble.
00:04:18.380 Republican lawmakers have targeted the organization
00:04:20.460 as a potential money laundering operation
00:04:22.720 while it faces internal chaos
00:04:24.760 after at least seven senior officials departed.
00:04:28.500 This is, of course, reporting from the New York Times.
00:04:31.120 It says that the law firm is shredding executives
00:04:33.540 at an all-new level, all-new highs.
00:04:36.140 I wonder what they're terrified for.
00:04:38.400 Folks, please be sure to join us each and every day
00:04:40.560 for the Great America Show,
00:04:41.940 twice a day for the Great America Show midday updates,
00:04:44.400 and then, of course, later at night
00:04:46.940 for our Great America Show interviews
00:04:48.840 with our great guests from around the country,
00:04:51.540 congressmen, top-level, great people
00:04:55.060 that you want to get your information from.
00:04:56.800 So that's each and every day.
00:04:58.080 Folks, our guest today is Garrett Ziegler.
00:05:00.560 He's the founder and CEO of the 501c3 Marco Polo.
00:05:04.860 He joins us later on today on the Great America Show.
00:05:07.700 We're going to be taking up the Hunter Biden laptop,
00:05:09.720 Hunter Biden's lawsuit against Garrett.
00:05:11.280 Joe Biden in Ukraine, just how deep the story goes back.
00:05:15.960 This isn't something that's just happened
00:05:17.440 over the last two years.
00:05:18.880 This is something that's been going on for over 10 years
00:05:21.220 with the Biden crime family and their influence in Ukraine.
00:05:24.020 So we're going to take all that up today
00:05:25.160 on the Great America Show, folks.
00:05:26.620 Please be sure to join us for that today
00:05:27.940 and each and every day.
00:05:29.220 I'm John Fawcett with this midday update.
