00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Friday, April 18th.
00:00:05.120 Happy Friday, folks. I hope you guys are as ready for the weekend as I am.
00:00:09.200 As if times weren't crazy enough and people weren't going crazy everywhere,
00:00:14.240 we've got some fun for you on this Friday.
00:00:16.600 A hypothetical 56% of Republicans say they would back President Trump for a third term,
00:00:23.200 according to a new Yale poll. Now, according to the Constitution,
00:00:26.300 as sad as it makes us, President Trump can't run for a third term,
00:00:29.700 although it would be fun and it's fun to troll the Marxist Dems, just not possible.
00:00:34.500 But 56% of Americans, we make it 57%, I include myself, I'll give myself a 1% there,
00:00:42.020 say it's a good idea and they would support him. I would love nothing more than that.
00:00:47.600 Unfortunately, the Constitution says otherwise. 0.93
00:00:50.580 It's another day in America, another black-robed tyrant legislating from the bench 1.00
00:00:54.960 to sabotage President Trump's constitutional authority.
00:00:58.800 The Associated Press is reporting that Judge Amy Berman Jackson blocked the Trump administration's plan
00:01:05.300 to fire Elizabeth Pocahontas, Elizabeth Warren, of course, her brainchild, 1.00
00:01:10.620 the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, the CFPB.
00:01:13.960 Moreover, the administration will be barred from accessing the agency's computer system.
00:01:19.600 Berman Jackson expressed, quote,
00:01:21.200 concern that officials were not obeying her earlier order, maintaining that the agency still exists
00:01:26.660 until she rules on the merits of a lawsuit to preserve it. 1.00
00:01:30.400 She has scheduled a hearing on April 28th, just 10 days from now,
00:01:33.780 to hear testimony from the officials.
00:01:36.740 Unbelievable, folks. Unbelievable.
00:01:39.440 Warren was then appointed by Barack Obama in 2010
00:01:42.320 as the assistant to the president and special advisor to the secretary of treasury
00:01:46.440 on the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau
00:01:48.760 to establish the CFPB.
00:01:51.720 It's been nothing but hell from that bureau.
00:01:54.820 All they do is seek to undermine our corporations and our companies here in America,
00:01:59.880 and it's got to, got to go.
00:02:01.980 Joe Biden's having a very tough time post-presidency.
00:02:05.000 He's trying to take a page out of the Bill and Hillary Clinton playbook
00:02:08.700 for charging massive fees to give speeches,
00:02:11.440 but no one is buying what he's selling.
00:02:14.380 What's the problem, Joe?
00:02:16.180 It's not just the Biden family artwork that's struggling, I guess, these days.
00:02:20.380 Former President Joe Biden's attempting to bill $300,000 per speaking appearance,
00:02:25.400 and he's finding very few takers, according to the New York Post.
00:02:29.240 Some of his own former aides say it's time for the 82-year-old
00:02:32.800 to leave the spotlight for good.
00:02:35.000 After reminiscing about the, quote,
00:02:37.020 colored kids in Tuesday's first public appearance since leaving office,
00:02:41.860 a source familiar with Biden's faltering speaking career
00:02:44.560 said the 46th president of the United States pitches $300,000,
00:02:48.900 25% below Barack Obama's $400,000 asking price upon leaving office in 2017.
00:02:55.960 It's unclear how negotiable Biden's rate is if travel is required.
00:02:59.220 A private jet and expenses for five staffers is also expected for Biden.
00:03:05.000 Who has been repped since early February by CAA, the Creative Artist Agency.
00:03:11.060 Now, CAA is the agency that's famous for booking Tom Brady and people of that stature.
00:03:17.860 So, not good for Joe Biden.
00:03:19.700 I'm not entirely sure what anyone would pay for if you were having Joe Biden come speak at your engagement.
00:03:27.240 Folks, we say this all the time here on The Great America Show.
00:03:31.300 The masks are off for the Marxist Dems.
00:03:34.060 New Jersey's Democrat Governor Phil Murphy is fighting the Trump administration
00:03:38.020 over cutting out DEI from their schools.
00:03:43.160 Murphy's administration is reporting balking at cutting diversity, equity, inclusion
00:03:47.080 out of the public school system as a request from the federal government.
00:03:50.540 The news comes as President Trump has come down hard on such practices.
00:03:55.160 The state's Department of Education recently answered a request from the U.S. Department of Education,
00:03:59.360 which is soon to be abolished, for the civil rights after being asked to reaffirm it
00:04:03.700 and was complying with the Federal Civil Rights Act and the Supreme Court's decision
00:04:08.020 in students for fair admission versus Harvard via fresh certification.
00:04:13.680 Folks, these Marxist Dems don't care about America. 1.00
00:04:16.040 They don't care about our policies.
00:04:17.760 They don't care about law and order.
00:04:20.400 We know that more now than ever.
00:04:23.680 And they're just going to keep trying to do their own thing.
00:04:27.140 They can't help themselves, folks.
00:04:29.000 They just can't help themselves. 1.00
00:04:31.260 They're sick, sick people. 0.98
00:04:33.240 Speaking of unelected bureaucrats, an Obama judge extended a ban on President Trump's Doge team 0.98
00:04:38.860 from accessing American Social Security data to root out fraud.
00:04:43.000 A federal judge this week issued a preliminary injunction extending the ban on Elon Musk's Doge committee
00:04:48.580 from accessing personal records of millions of Americans, which is stored in the SSA.
00:04:53.200 This is from Judge Ellen Hollander, U.S. District Judge, appointed by none other than Barack Obama,
00:04:59.040 issued a 148-page ruling siding with far-left unions and advocacy groups over privacy of government records,
00:05:05.960 despite the Trump administration's claim that access was crucial to rooting out fraud, waste, and abuse
00:05:11.540 in a bloated entitlement bureaucracy.
00:05:14.940 So President Trump's tax returns, not so private.
00:05:19.280 Other Republicans' personal information, not so private.
00:05:22.920 But when it comes time to rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse,
00:05:27.340 yeah, that's a problem, I guess.
00:05:29.540 Folks, please be sure to join us today and each and every single day, twice a day,
00:05:34.200 for The Great America Show and The Great America Show Midday Updates.
00:05:37.780 I'm John Faw, so with this midday update,
00:05:40.220 happy Friday, folks, and get ready for the weekend.
