00:00:15.400 they were close to a deal, the Republicans and Democrats, on reopening that government. It

00:00:19.700 appears they're a little bit further apart than previously expected. Senate Minority Leader Chuck

00:00:24.740 Schumer and the Democrats previously shut down the government because they wanted to give illegal

00:00:28.500 aliens taxpayer-funded health care. After failing to reopen the government more than a dozen times,

00:00:34.700 Schumer said just moments ago that a proposed new plan to end the shutdown, he's got it. It's just

00:00:40.540 not a good one. Senate Democrats are now proposing a one-year extension of Obamacare and the Affordable

00:00:46.520 Care Act ACA subsidies, which are set to expire in January. That one-year extension would put them into

00:00:53.240 next year's elections, which it's possible the Democrats would, how bad the Republicans

00:00:58.020 have been on messaging, that could win that house back. So sneaky Dickens, Chuck Schumer,

00:01:04.800 it's not going to work. Democrat Schumer offering that plan just moments ago, quote,

00:01:09.540 Democrats are ready to clear the way to quickly pass a government funding bill that includes

00:01:14.020 health care affordability. Now, all of a sudden, he's ready to negotiate. Leader Thune just needs to

00:01:20.340 add a clean one-year extension of the ACA tax credits to that CR so we can immediately address the

00:01:26.480 rising health care costs. So why didn't Chuck Schumer talk to Barack Hussein about that when

00:01:33.440 Barack Hussein gave us Obamacare? Didn't he think it was probably a good time to do it then? You know,

00:01:39.800 back when they ruined health care for all the people who pay for it, when they drove premiums 0.89

00:01:44.260 through the roof? That would have probably been an appropriate time. I think that Chuck the schmuck

00:01:56.340 all things they want. So it's unclear how this is going to proceed and what's going to happen if

00:02:02.460 John Thune caves to the Marxist Democrats. If Thune decides to make a deal with the Democrats,

00:02:06.820 also known as the devil, I think that's probably the end of his political career. President Trump,

00:02:11.960 just moments ago, renewing calls once again for the Senate Republicans to terminate the filibuster,

00:02:17.000 which would take a simple majority, and use their control of both chambers to reopen the government

00:02:21.180 and pass sensible legislation that the Democrats will never vote for. With the filibuster in place,

00:02:26.540 who some people say the Democrats are going to pull as soon as they get control again,

00:02:30.920 all legislation requires 60 votes to include closure, move to a simple majority vote. Despite

00:02:36.900 Republicans controlling the Senate, they cannot reopen the government or pass legislation without

00:02:40.720 any Democrats voting in favor. Trump repeatedly called on Senate Republicans to invoke the nuclear

00:02:46.300 option and terminate the filler buster. But it's not apparent that the Republicans have the votes to

00:02:52.400 even do that because you've got guys like Rand Paul and women like Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins,

00:02:57.720 who are just rhinos taking up seats for Republicans. And that's going to create a little bit of an issue 0.95

00:03:04.660 for them as they don't have the votes to go ahead and move forward with that. So the faster we can get

00:03:09.380 those rhinos out of there, the faster we can proceed forward with the America First agenda 1.00
