00:00:33.660 Hello, everybody. Welcome to The Great America Show.

00:00:35.920 I'm John Fawcett in for Lou Dobbs.

00:00:38.640 Well, Congress is back to work this week after the Independence Day holiday, and there's a lot to get done in the few weeks they have left before they go on summer recess.

00:00:45.840 Among the many issues, further investigations into the Biden crime family, Joe Biden's cognitive decline, the Merrick Garland contempt vote, and much more.

00:00:56.420 To take all this up and much more, we ask Congressman Tim Burchard of Tennessee to join us today to give us an update on what's going on and how we go forward before Congress heads into summer session.

00:01:06.160 Congressman, thanks for joining us today.

00:01:08.240 Thank you all for having me. It's always a pleasure being on with you.

00:01:10.740 So let's start first with the Merrick Garland contempt vote.

00:01:14.480 Where does that stand right now? Will you be able to get it through before you head off for summer recess?

00:01:20.280 Or will it be something that will be tabled until September?

00:01:23.300 Well, you know, a few weeks ago, we passed a resolution to hold him in contempt.

00:01:28.700 And, of course, he refused to comply with two congressional subpoenas, you know, and hand over the tapes.

00:01:35.000 The president's interview with Robert Hurt.

00:01:36.740 The thing about that is we don't, you know, everybody says we got the transcripts.

00:01:41.100 Well, we haven't, this place hasn't been truthful about anything.

00:01:44.860 We don't know if those transcripts are accurate or not.

00:01:47.200 We don't know, you know, what I'd like to know is if you had any legal advisors in there and we're telling him, oh, you can't say that.

00:01:53.480 Don't say this. Don't say that.

00:01:55.040 That kind of thing.

00:01:55.840 And also, you know, you don't know where the commas are and where the periods are in the conversation and things can be taken out of context.

00:02:02.980 And when he said that he's a, you know, basically he's a he's just an old man.

00:02:07.000 He's not fit to to stand trial.

00:02:10.500 That to me is that's pretty damning.

00:02:13.380 They need to he needs to come before before us. 0.85

00:02:16.080 But there are three types of content of contempt of Congress, criminal, civil and inherent and inherent is the one we're going after because the other two require too many trips to the to the courthouse.

00:02:30.580 You know, it's the bureaucracy would be just so much.

00:02:33.360 It never happened.

00:02:34.940 And Luna, she's done a good job with this thing and she's held on like a bulldog on this thing.

00:02:40.860 And I'm I'm looking forward to get this thing moving.

00:02:43.460 Now, will it happen?

00:02:44.780 I don't know.

00:02:45.440 You know, we haven't had the guts to do a whole lot, either party.

00:02:50.100 Congress doesn't do a whole lot.

00:02:51.600 I think it's time to jerk us into this thing screaming.

00:02:55.200 Of course, it is an election year.

00:02:56.540 So maybe Republicans will get a little bit of guts and do something that we can hang our hat on.

00:03:03.780 I would think bringing the attorney and people like, oh, you're going to bring him in in leg irons.

00:03:07.900 This is archaic.

00:03:08.800 Well, you know, they just go get him.

00:03:10.480 I mean, the last time they did is they put somebody up in a nice hotel somewhere or a motel, whichever the case may be.

00:03:16.120 So I don't I don't see that being a real problem.

00:03:19.560 But I do have a problem with them just constantly thumbing their nose at Congress.

00:03:24.040 And that's exactly what they're doing.

00:03:25.900 You constantly have the Democrats, you know, repeating nobody's above the law.

00:03:29.320 We got the Supreme Court ruling last week.

00:03:31.700 Trump has immunity.

00:03:33.080 And all you hear is nobody's above the law.

00:03:35.320 No president should be above the law.

00:03:36.840 Well, why is there an attorney general above the law?

00:03:39.300 You know, why is there this with this double standard?

00:03:41.420 You had Peter Navarro get picked up in an airport who's in jail right now in leg irons.

00:03:45.300 You have Steve Bannon head to jail last week.

00:03:47.840 I mean, why don't the Republicans fight like the Democrats fight?

00:03:52.480 We don't have any guts and we're not held accountable.

00:03:55.700 And I think we're complacent in our little, you know, these guys are chairman or, you know, chairman of the subcommittee on bean beetles or something.

00:04:03.740 And they go home strutting around about all that.

00:04:06.320 And they don't do a whole heck of a lot.

00:04:08.980 You know, dadgummit, people are sick of it.

00:04:10.740 And I would hope that they would start voicing their opinions about that because this era of compromise, that's why we're $35 trillion in debt.

00:04:20.180 The days of negotiating are over.

00:04:21.840 They always want to compromise when they're in the majority or in the minority, not when they're in the majority.

00:04:26.720 And that's what you're seeing time and time again with this stuff.

00:04:30.320 You know, we haven't had that.

00:04:31.960 We haven't had the guts to vote for cutting funding and other things.

00:04:37.280 So I would think at some point we will get that.

00:04:41.660 And I would hope, and part of the trouble too, I told Lou this once before, but, you know, these guys and gals, they go home and they throw the red meat out at the Lincoln Day or Reagan Day. 0.98

00:04:52.900 Now the MAGA Day dinners, these chicken dinners we go to.

00:04:56.340 And I've been to a bunch of them.

00:04:58.580 And then they come back up here and then they continuously boat us down the river.

00:05:03.140 And I would hope that some of these folks, get your grandkids to show you how to use that computer, but look what's in some of these boats that we're making and some of the boats we refuse to take.

00:05:14.020 And I think you'd change your mind.

00:05:15.820 And that's the one hope I have about President Trump.

00:05:19.160 They will be afraid not to do this stuff, not to make these cuts and not to enforce those areas of the Constitution.

00:05:26.240 Well, in your leader, Mike Johnson, he's sort of been sitting lame duck now for the last month or so, you know, hasn't exactly been the most popular Speaker of the House.

00:05:35.840 You know, he comes after Kevin McCarthy.

00:05:37.560 So those are big shoes to fill.

00:05:39.200 But, you know, what has Mike Johnson been doing?

00:05:41.600 You know, we haven't heard a word from him.

00:05:42.980 Now we hear from him about this SAVE Act where the Democrats want to fight against.

00:05:47.180 Imagine this.

00:05:48.080 They want to fight against making sure everyone who's voting is a citizen.

00:05:52.220 But, you know, going back to Mike Johnson, you know, what has he done?

00:05:56.360 Do you see Mike Johnson still holding that speaker role in January?

00:06:00.840 I mean, does he have the support of the conference?

00:06:02.340 Does he have the support of President Trump?

00:06:04.440 What's your take on that?

00:06:06.180 Well, President Trump seems to enjoy his support.

00:06:08.540 I think part of the fact is we're down to three Republicans.

00:06:12.120 You know, we've got a bunch of these guys that ran on principle and then when they're offered a better gig, they get out in a hurry.

00:06:18.860 They bailed on us and left us in a bad spot.

00:06:21.480 And then you've got 20 or so decided not to run.

00:06:25.100 I think that's the that's that's the telling thing right there that they don't they're not going to be able to operate under this new regime, so to speak.

00:06:34.200 And and so, you know, he's got three or four boats, three or four between him and the Democrats.

00:06:39.680 He has to be careful some days of even going to the floor where he can be deposed because so many Republicans have deaths and families and life just happened.

00:06:48.940 And so it's a it's a touch and go situation every day.

00:06:51.960 And I, you know, if I was him, I worry about the people that he has around him because he kept so many of his predecessors, people.

00:07:00.200 And that and that to me, that that's that because his predecessor sure wasn't supportive of him becoming speaker.

00:07:07.000 Right. You know, it's just everywhere you turn or somebody sniping at him.

00:07:12.140 So I would hope at least these last 22 days or so of session that we have that we do what we said we're going to do.

00:07:20.200 And we end on a good note because naming post offices is not why most of us came to Washington.

00:07:25.540 And I'll be and I'm naming a post office eventually, I hope.

00:07:29.600 But but that's just in the course of business and a lot of other important legislation that's moving.

00:07:35.220 We're talking to Congressman Tim Burchard of the great state of Tennessee.

00:07:37.820 We're coming right back.

00:07:39.500 President Biden says he's staying in the race and he's tired of hearing from all these elites who are telling him to get out.

00:07:44.180 We're going to get Tim Burchard's take when we return.

00:07:46.060 Stay with us.

00:07:46.500 Folks, you know, I beg everyone to get ready for the next crisis.

00:07:51.740 And when it comes, our lives will likely change overnight, whether it's natural disaster, war or another disease.

00:07:59.360 We have to be ready as we can be.

00:08:01.500 We saw what happened in 2020 when we found ourselves dependent on global supply chains.

00:08:06.360 We're still dependent on China and other countries for more than 90 percent of all our pharmaceuticals.

00:08:11.800 With clusters of respiratory illnesses popping up around the world and here, we need to be prepared.

00:08:17.940 And now is the time to make certain you have what your family needs when the next crisis hits.

00:08:23.600 Our good friends, Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Drew Penske over at the Wellness Company have put together just what you and I need with the Wellness Company's medical emergency kit.

00:09:14.200 Take control of your health today with the Wellness Company's medical emergency kit.

00:09:18.720 Prepare today.

00:09:19.860 Be ready tomorrow.

00:09:23.360 We're back talking with Congressman Tim Burchett of the great state of Tennessee.

00:09:27.720 Congressman Joe Biden said today he sent a letter to Congress, to the Dem members of Congress who are calling for him to drop out.

00:09:34.200 He says he's tired of hearing the elites telling him to get the heck out of the race.

00:09:38.220 What's your take on this?

00:09:40.200 Well, the elites, if you look who's running the Democratic Party, that's who is running the Democratic Party elites.

00:09:46.160 I think he's gone to a think tank or something, and they've chosen some words for him.

00:09:51.400 I thought it was also interesting.

00:09:53.080 I've seen it once.

00:09:54.080 I haven't seen it anymore.

00:09:55.040 I'm wondering if the state-run media has shut this out.

00:09:58.940 He says, I look forward to a fight at the convention or something like that.

00:10:02.960 If he's going to get into a fight at a convention, it might be the first time I watch a convention in decades, because they usually are just a show anyway.

00:10:12.420 But I think it's falling apart.

00:10:14.640 It's coming unraveled.

00:10:15.620 He doesn't know.

00:10:16.340 So he's in the bunker, and they're running up the steps of the Capitol with pitchforks and torches, because I just don't see the support there.

00:10:28.560 You saw ranking Democrats pull off of him, five of them.

00:10:32.820 Seth Moulton, who's sort of in the middle of that situation.

00:10:36.680 He's a Marine and up-and-coming leader.

00:10:39.960 And then you see Jerry Nadler saying he doesn't need to run again.

00:10:45.500 I mean, you don't get much more swamp than that.

00:10:48.100 And so I would just – it's going to be interesting to watch.

00:10:52.260 I mean, it'd serve our needs most if he'd stay in, obviously.

00:10:57.080 But our country, my gosh, seven months of that, and now the world knows what we'd all whispered about.

00:11:05.080 You know, the media has kept covered up or tried to keep cover up.

00:11:08.040 And every time he'd bring it up, they'd say, I'd say, yeah, that's all this other – and they're just co-conspirators in this whole thing.

00:11:14.020 So, you know, it's sort of interesting to see this fighting inside the Democratic Party because you don't see it too often.

00:11:20.420 You know, you had the infighting in the party with Kevin McCarthy, and that was, I guess, the last major issue.

00:11:27.160 But now you've got these Democrats split on where they stand with Joe Biden.

00:11:30.260 A new Emerson poll out today has Trump leading Joe Biden in six swing states, all by three points or more except for Michigan.

00:11:39.960 I mean, it looks like this is Trump's race to lose.

00:11:42.700 With the exception of Biden getting out of the race and, I guess, floating Michelle Obama, which is constantly what you hear, which she says she wants nothing to do with it, can't blame her.

00:11:53.780 What is Trump's path forward?

00:11:56.000 How big of a win do you see coming in November, you know, for Congress, the Senate, and the White House?

00:12:02.260 Well, I should have said I don't.

00:12:03.980 I remember when Bill Clinton, they came out that he was a draft dodger, which apparently he was, went to England, allegedly a Rhodes Scholar to study over there.

00:12:15.260 I think he – and then used that to avoid the draft.

00:12:19.340 And I thought, man, we've got him beat now.

00:12:21.040 You know, this guy, there's no way.

00:12:22.620 He ends up winning.

00:12:23.520 He won Tennessee.

00:12:24.760 He had Al Gore there.

00:12:25.660 But still, they're playing checkers.

00:12:30.860 We're playing chess.

00:12:31.960 And that's why I think in the House we need to focus on our agenda and what we're going to pass and quit worrying about this presidential stuff because what we say and do is going to have very little, if anything, to do with that.

00:12:42.440 And we better worry about running our country because America's watching, and the Democrats sure as heck are watching every move we make.

00:12:49.600 And, yeah, I think it's also pretty telling, too, that you're not seeing any of the up-and-comers in the House say they're going to run for president.

00:12:58.560 They're putting their name in because they know how bad these policies are and what they've done to our country.

00:13:04.900 I mean, immigration, just you name it, everything.

00:13:08.660 And where we're at as a nation right now, inflation, those kind of things, because they've all voted 100 percent, mostly, with everyone on Biden's agenda issues.

00:13:18.040 And I know there's no path forward for any of them.

00:13:23.100 The only one is Joe Biden.

00:13:25.180 But still, I think the long shot is the governor of California just because he's charismatic.

00:13:33.120 He's run that state into the ground, but that doesn't seem to really matter to Democrats.

00:13:38.280 So you mentioned the Biden issues that he ran on, and obviously one of them, probably the biggest, is the open border.

00:13:44.460 A new report out today from the National Immigration Center for Enforcement says that 99 percent of illegal aliens, border crossers, are living freely across American communities with whatever they want to do, walking around.

00:14:00.360 And they put that number at 17 million.

00:14:02.940 We estimate it's probably a little bit higher than that, the gotaways that they don't like to count or even talk about.

00:14:08.320 I mean, how do we come back from this?

00:14:10.620 How do you come back from letting, we'll call it 20 million to be conservative, illegals coming into this country, now maybe looking to register to vote because the Democrats in the House want to let them? 0.69

00:14:22.100 How do we ever come back from this, even with Trump winning in November?

00:14:25.960 How do you save this country from all these illegals? 1.00

00:14:28.840 Yeah, I mean, the state of Tennessee is 7 million people, between 6 and 7, so just imagine that over, probably, you know, to me, it's insurmountable, actually.

00:14:42.440 You're going to have to, I think there's going to be a culling process of folks when they do something criminally.

00:14:48.820 And, I mean, I don't know, you're going to enlist a bus line or a train system to haul people back to the border?

00:14:56.500 I just, you know, I've talked about this immigration thing like a leaking boat.

00:15:01.680 There's a group that want to, that just wants to bail constantly.

00:15:05.800 But first, you've got to stop the haul.

00:15:07.800 You've got to stop the haul, and that's the border.

00:15:10.020 And you've got to enforce our laws and get the wall built and get those things done.

00:15:13.780 They wanted $5 billion, $4 or $5 billion to do that.

00:15:16.780 And I see where it's costing just about, that's what they're paying just to take care of the illegals in New York.

00:15:23.520 So, I mean, you know, it's their plan to bankrupt.

00:15:26.700 I just think you've got some people, the puppet masters that are doing this, that are total anarchist and want to see this country fail because they hate everything about it.

00:15:36.020 They hate our military.

00:15:37.720 They hate our flag.

00:15:38.540 They hate our traditions.

00:15:39.680 They hate our God.

00:15:40.840 They hate all of it.

00:15:42.020 And they just want to see an input to it.

00:15:44.460 And a lot of folks in the national media are just co-conspirators in this whole thing.

00:15:49.560 Well, if there's anyone who's going to save us, it's going to be President Trump.

00:15:53.480 We're talking with Congressman Tim Bircher.

00:15:55.080 We're coming right back after these quick words.

00:15:57.160 His House Oversight Committee is up to something, and they're further investigating the Biden crime family.

00:16:01.960 But what is it?

00:16:02.840 We'll tell you when we can return.

00:16:03.960 Stay with us.

00:16:04.460 We're coming right back.

00:16:05.100 The Wellness Company and their doctors are medical professionals you can trust, and their new medical emergency kits are the gold standard when it comes to keeping you safe and healthy.

00:16:17.200 This medical emergency kit contains an assortment of life-saving medications, including ivermectin, Z-Pak.

00:16:23.300 Rest assured, knowing that you have emergency antibiotics, antivirals, and antiparasitics on hand to help you and your family stay safe from whatever life throws at you next.

00:16:35.100 All right.

00:16:41.300 We're back with Congressman Tim Bircher to Tennessee and member of the House Oversight Committee.

00:16:45.540 Congressman, this week, House Oversight Chairman James Comer, he wants Dr. Kevin O'Connor, a White House physician, to come into the committee and have a transcribed interview.

00:16:56.840 Can you tell us a little bit about what's going on?

00:16:58.340 Yeah, he is obviously involved in a lot of things, and I have written a letter, actually, before all that broke, dealing with him about the fact that he was involved with AmeriCorps, and they loaned James Biden $600,000, of which $200,000 of that was given to President Biden.

00:17:23.480 And this is supposed to be his physician.

00:17:28.300 I mean, the collusion is all over the place in this thing, and why the national media just is not just harping on this right now.

00:17:35.540 I mean, that should be the nails in the coffin of this White House.

00:17:38.840 Originally, I was going to write a letter inviting him in to talk about the president's cognitive abilities, but he is so compromised that I think we need to invite a team of physicians in to do just that and analyze what's going on with this president, because this guy is totally in the tank.

00:18:04.500 And, I mean, the unethical nature of this whole thing, the money that goes back and forth.

00:18:11.060 And really, what bothers me most, I mean, we all know most of these guys are shady to get to these levels to be here that long.

00:18:17.280 They're, you know, three or four houses and, you know, the planes and all the other and the investments that get in 60% return every year kind of things.

00:18:26.160 We know that goes on. But what really hacks me off about all that even further is the fact we don't have any proof that they paid any dadgum income tax.

00:18:35.420 Right. I mean, what's going on in this country with the average American having to pay taxes on crazy stuff?

00:18:41.700 And they just stack it on to us. And they say, we're going to tax the rich.

00:18:46.180 But apparently, if you're rich and in government, you don't have to pay taxes.

00:18:50.180 They let the statutes run on a lot of this stuff already.

00:18:53.720 Right. You know, it's the level of corruption you see out of this administration, out of the Biden family.

00:19:01.260 I don't think it's one that you could actually script for a Hollywood, you know, maybe we should ask Adam Schiff.

00:19:06.240 He's a screenwriter. You know, it's something we can script for a movie.

00:19:10.020 I mean, the levels of corruption you see in this family, in this administration, aren't even levels you saw in the 1970s with New York mob families.

00:19:17.680 You know, now we all of a sudden we have a White House physician involved in the Biden crime family.

00:19:24.740 I mean, how much deeper does this run? Where does the committee move from here?

00:19:28.740 You know, does this Congressman Comer, you know, thinks it runs even deeper than a White House physician?

00:19:35.560 Well, everything Jamie Comer's brought forth, as you know, has been has been based on facts.

00:19:42.660 And I've gone through a lot of these these numbers and the corporations and the 20 some odd shell corporations they fought.

00:19:50.760 They put together in some of how I can't remember how many bank accounts they've had to run this stuff.

00:19:56.520 You and I have one bank account or maybe two.

00:19:58.700 You know, I have one for my campaign and one for my my wife and I's personal account.

00:20:03.500 And that's it. You know, but they double digits bank accounts.

00:20:07.480 And, you know, what's going on with all this? And why are we not?

00:20:10.640 And where is our Justice Department? I think until we keep people keep saying, well, you're going to do this and the Justice Department won't do anything.

00:20:16.900 But that's well, that's their job. And that's on them.

00:20:19.880 And we need to expose that as well and show to the American public all this facts and figures.

00:20:24.680 And why in the world is this White House getting by with this?

00:20:28.740 Two sets of justice, the Biden crime family and the rest of America.

00:20:33.520 Congressman, real quick before we wrap up here.

00:20:36.060 Will we see criminal referrals for any of the Biden family members, any of the business partners before this Congress wraps up in November?

00:20:44.640 We should, but I doubt it.

00:20:47.420 Congressman Tim Birch, thank you so much.

00:20:49.780 Thank you, brother.

00:20:52.060 All right. We're all clear.
