The Great America Show - HOUSE READIES BIDEN IMPEACHMENT

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs, and welcome to The Great America Show. Thank you for being

00:00:07.900 with us. President Trump making his return back to Twitter, or as it is now known, X,

00:00:14.900 last week after his indictment, tweeting a picture of his mugshot with the caption,

00:00:19.880 election interference, never surrender. The president spoke to our friend Greg Kelly on

00:00:25.820 Newsmax immediately after the arraignment, and said these radical district attorneys and

00:00:31.320 prosecutors are bringing all these indictments for one purpose only, to wear him out. And he said

00:00:37.920 they will never wear him out. This is a weaponized Justice Department, and all of these indictments

00:00:44.500 and cases, I have a couple of cases that are not indictments, it's just cases where you have these

00:00:49.160 left lawyers suing, like a woman that I never saw before, other than she took a picnic 25 years

00:00:57.760 ago on a line, on a contributor's line or something, or charity line. Everything, it's just like one

00:01:06.960 thing after the next, and what they want to do is they want to try and wear you out, which they never

00:01:12.540 do. But they want to wear you out to just an absolute horrible thing that they're doing. And

00:01:18.980 I've never seen anything like it. This is third world country. And I really believe they're getting 1.00

00:01:23.960 hit by it. You know, we were going, there were tremendous crowds in Atlanta, and they were so

00:01:27.960 friendly, so friendly. But this is a radical left district attorney, as we have in New York, and as

00:01:33.880 we have in all the other places, whether it's district attorney or AGs, we have that in New York.

00:01:39.240 They're going after you all for nothing. I mean, the AG case, they have no case against me at all.

00:01:45.140 They do it to try and get elected, but they also do it in court with the Department of Injustice

00:01:52.300 in Washington. Terrible thing. God bless President Trump and all Americans who are rallying around

00:01:59.020 him. The Marxist Dems and the Deep State aren't even trying to conceal their intentions to destroy

00:02:05.420 this man. Our support is critical to assure they fail in that effort and that the republic prevails.

00:02:13.280 President Trump was sorely missed at last week's Fox News Republican debate, not by his eight rivals,

00:02:19.580 but by Fox, certainly. The Trump-less debate drew a dismal audience of just 12.8 million viewers,

00:02:27.800 dismal ratings compared to President Trump's first debate at this point in the 2015 campaign.

00:02:33.240 With Trump, Fox drew an audience of 24 million viewers. Without Trump, Fox lost just about half

00:02:41.900 its audience. President Trump setting new records in his interview with Tucker Carlson

00:02:47.240 on X, formerly known as Twitter, some 250 million views on X. Memo to whoever is directing U.S. foreign

00:02:56.980 policy these days in the Biden regime, you might want to rethink, well, a lot of things, but certainly

00:03:03.120 Russian sanctions. They seem to be backfiring. While the United States and Europe lost trillions in

00:03:10.080 wealth last year, the Swiss bank UBS reports that Russian wealth grew by $600 billion and the number

00:03:18.400 of Russian millionaires grew by 56,000, up to more than 400,000 millionaires. Brilliant idea,

00:03:27.200 these Biden sanctions, and like so many of his ideas, or whoever has his ideas, they don't pan out.

00:03:35.380 Over the weekend, the first son, Hunter Biden, downsized, you'll be pleased to know,

00:03:40.340 and moved into a new home in Malibu with his wife and his three-year-old son. Hunter reportedly moved

00:03:47.420 out of his $20,000 a month lodgings into cheaper lodgings into a $16,000 a month rental. $16,000 a

00:03:57.020 month. Average national rentals run about $2,000 a month, and it makes you wonder how Hunter Biden

00:04:03.840 can afford $200,000 a year in just rent. He has sold a few pieces of art to some of his father's

00:04:10.980 employees at the White House, but it's unclear if Hunter Biden even has a job right now. We all have

00:04:17.460 a hunch, don't we, about where Hunter does get his money. The Daily Mail, reporting over the weekend,

00:04:23.280 the Ukrainian prosecutor named Viktor Shokin, who Joe Biden had fired when he was vice president for

00:04:29.620 Mr. Obama, spoke out on the bribery and corruption that he witnessed.

00:04:34.760 I do not want to deal in unproven facts, but my personal conviction is that, yes, this was the

00:04:43.860 case. They were being bribed. The fact that Joe Biden gave away $1 billion in U.S. money in exchange

00:04:52.840 for my dismissal, my firing, isn't that alone a case of corruption? That's evidence of criminality,

00:05:00.660 and Viktor Shokin may well play a prominent role in the investigations into the Biden regime and its

00:05:07.220 corruption. Our guest today is one of the leading Republicans fighting for President Trump and for

00:05:12.380 the American people. Congressman Jim Jordan, he's chairman of the House Judiciary Committee,

00:05:17.860 the Weaponization Subcommittee as well, and a new probe, Chairman Jordan calling for investigations

00:05:23.840 into the Fannie Willis District Attorney prosecution down in Fulton County, Georgia. First of all,

00:05:30.100 Congressman, great to have you with us. Thank you for everything you and your committees are doing.

00:05:35.180 This, as we learn more about this district attorney, your call for the investigation,

00:05:40.000 all the more important. Tell us where your committee is at this moment.

00:05:43.980 Well, we want to know, did she coordinate with the federal government? Was the Biden Justice

00:05:48.780 Department working with her? The same Biden Justice Department, of course, that through the special

00:05:53.420 council is going after his presidential opponent, going after President Trump, is likely opponent,

00:06:00.980 I think extremely likely opponent in the general election. Were they working with Fannie Willis'

00:06:07.760 office working with the federal government? Were they working with Jack Smith? There's been reports

00:06:12.080 that they've talked to some of the same people. So we want to know that. And then, frankly, another

00:06:16.440 important question is, were you using federal funds to go after President Trump and these 18 other

00:06:24.280 individuals? We did the same thing. We sent a similar type of letter to Alvin Bragg several months ago

00:06:29.240 when the Manhattan DA did his ridiculous indictment of President Trump. And we found that in that

00:06:36.080 situation that they were, in fact, using federal funds in the investigation to go after

00:06:42.220 President Trump. So that's one of the questions we asked. And in the Alvin Bragg DA's office,

00:06:49.360 they brought in a Justice Department official, detached him to support their investigation of

00:06:57.820 Donald Trump and subsequent indictment. Exactly right. And they also sued us. They also took us to

00:07:03.140 court. The House Judiciary Committee took us to court when we asked to talk with one of the individuals

00:07:09.200 involved in that investigation. And the court ruled in our favor, and that particular individual

00:07:13.480 actually came and was deposed. We had a deposition with Mr. Pomerantz a few months ago as well. So

00:07:18.840 we want to know some of this. We're asking some of the same questions. We want to know what we

00:07:22.860 think it's important for the country to know what's going on here, particularly, as I said,

00:07:28.520 when it's the Biden Justice Department that is in the process of indicting, now in two locations,

00:07:33.560 in Miami and D.C., their opponent in the presidential contest. And now we, of course,

00:07:40.400 have this state prosecutor, Fannie Willis, doing what she's doing with her ridiculous actions in 1.00

00:07:45.720 Georgia. Do you think you'll find the same relationship between the, what I call here on

00:07:52.980 this podcast, the Biden corrupt Department of Justice? Do you think you're going to find the

00:08:00.760 same relationship as with the Bragg DA office in Manhattan? Well, I wouldn't be surprised. I mean,

00:08:06.460 the short answer is I don't know. But we do think, as I said, we think it's important for the country

00:08:12.760 to get all the facts. We're in truly unprecedented territory. I think just the country sees it for

00:08:19.520 what it is. I mean, remember, just last night, the number of people who watched President Trump's

00:08:25.600 interview, while the debate was happening on the Republican side, and President Trump chose not

00:08:34.100 to go there, and yet the people tune in, I think the country sees the double standard. They see the

00:08:39.280 unequal application of the law, and they see how this swamp, the establishment, whatever you want

00:08:45.820 to say, has been out to get President Trump now for several years, seven years, I would say. So we're

00:08:51.760 trying to get the facts and the information, make sure the country has it, in addition to some of

00:08:55.580 the other investigations we're doing, which we think are very important.

00:08:59.620 Absolutely. And we're now, we've entered the eighth year of the political persecution of Donald

00:09:05.180 Trump, without forestalling it for even one moment. Here he is, as you point out, the presumptive nominee

00:09:11.940 of the Republican Party. He is the leader of the Republican Party at this point. It's remarkable.

00:09:19.500 Now, Fannie Willis, her judgment here is bizarre, because she's also calling for a trial as soon

00:09:29.400 as October 23rd. Now, this is a woman who just pulled together her indictments, and according 1.00

00:09:36.060 to reports, at the behest of the Department of Justice, which said they had to go on the Monday

00:09:41.360 so that they could cover for the appointment of David Weiss as the special counsel. I mean,

00:09:46.880 this thing is a moving circus, this relationship with the Department of Justice and state and local

00:09:53.860 prosecutors. I mean, this is absurd, what we're watching.

00:09:57.780 Yeah. But some of the things that were in the indictment, like they cited tweets from President

00:10:04.300 Trump as actions taken, overt acts taken in furtherance of this racketeering statute that

00:10:13.360 they're using as the basis for what they're alleging is criminal activity. It's ridiculous. 0.98

00:10:18.440 The chief of staff calls or texts a member of Congress and asks for a phone number. That was an 0.98

00:10:25.820 overt act who furtheres a conspiracy. Are you kidding me? So when you kind of look at what she's listed

00:10:32.240 there, and then you look at the history and the pattern that existed between Alvin Bragg and the

00:10:37.460 federal government and specifically the Justice Department, that's why we put the letter together.

00:10:42.640 That's why we're asking these questions. And we'll see what the response is. But one of the things,

00:10:46.580 we never take anything off the table in trying to get the facts and do our duty under the Constitution,

00:10:53.580 which is our oversight duty, to get the facts for the American people, get the facts for the Congress

00:10:57.900 that could impact how we legislate and frankly, how we appropriate the American people's tax style.

00:11:03.120 Well, she has criminalized basically political discussion, dissent, protest. It's crazy what's

00:11:13.660 going on. She's unfortunately not alone. Since April 4th, the indictments rained down on President

00:11:21.200 Trump. He now is facing four separate indictments. He is facing over 91 counts. He's

00:11:27.860 looking at over 700 years in prison if he were found guilty of all of them. If this isn't within

00:11:35.240 this time span to have these local and state prosecutors go after him to do so with highly

00:11:44.360 suspect timing, the American people have, I think, they have to be seeing through this.

00:11:51.560 Don't you think?

00:11:52.640 Yeah. No, they definitely are. They also understand that when you're focused on something like this,

00:11:57.580 there's an opportunity cost associated with it as well. And that, of course, is the record levels

00:12:03.360 of crime we're seeing in these urban areas. So there's that issue. There's the fundamental issue,

00:12:08.960 which you pointed out, which I think is so clear and so important. This attack on politics,

00:12:15.060 this attack on the First Amendment free speech rights of the president and others who were simply

00:12:21.020 engaged in doing what happened. I mean, was it Dershowitz who said, we asked the same questions.

00:12:27.580 We were asking the same thing back in 2000 when Dershowitz was working to help Al Gore.

00:12:33.160 It's a crime, which is just political activity and First Amendment protected activity. This is what is

00:12:38.520 so frightening. But the left, their quest to control, their quest for power, it seems to just be like

00:12:47.140 they're willing to do things we've never seen before. And of course, that includes attacking

00:12:52.380 the First Amendment liberties of the American people.

00:12:54.780 We're talking with the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Congressman Jim Jordan.

00:12:59.500 We'll return in just one moment. Please stay with us. We'll be right back.

00:13:03.200 We're back with Congressman Jim Jordan. Mr. Chairman, let me let me turn to this issue that

00:13:15.060 you brought up of opportunity costs, the amount of taxpayer money going into these persecutions of

00:13:23.660 President Trump, the the taxpayer money that's being spent on special counsels to no end,

00:13:29.700 only wrongdoing that has been turned up over the course of these eight years of the political

00:13:35.240 persecution of Trump has been the wrongdoing of the FBI, the Department of Justice and various

00:13:42.220 agencies of the federal government, including the the intelligence community.

00:13:47.300 What in the world are we? Is there a legislative response to this that says this will never have

00:13:54.460 to say this again? Because there's no it's just going on and on.

00:14:00.600 Yeah, a couple of things. That's a great question. One, when you reference the intelligence community

00:14:05.300 and the Justice Department, understand FISA is up to FISA law is up to part of that is up for

00:14:10.580 reauthorization. So we're looking to make sure we do major changes to that before we would ever

00:14:15.080 reauthorize it. So that that's one direct avenue. Second, specific to the president's situation,

00:14:20.200 a couple of my colleagues who are on the Judiciary Committee have introduced good legislation. One

00:14:26.100 it one simply says, if you're going after a president or former president, that case has to

00:14:31.480 be done in federal court. After all, we're talking about the president, a federal office, the commander

00:14:35.600 in chief. So that we think that's a piece of legislation that's been introduced that we think

00:14:41.120 makes sense that to kind of get to this issue of these local, many times left, left backed,

00:14:48.240 left endorsed, left supported prosecutors who are soft on crime, but but do crazy things about

00:14:54.920 going after their political opposition. So that's a that's a piece of legislation that has been

00:14:59.520 introduced. This happened right at right when we were dealing with initially dealing with the

00:15:03.920 Alvin Bragg situation up in Manhattan. So, yeah, there are there are some specific pieces of

00:15:08.680 legislation we look at. And then, as I mentioned before, we've got to use the appropriations process,

00:15:13.400 the power of the purse and the ability to control. I mean, the legislature, the Congress determines

00:15:19.200 where money gets spent. So that's another avenue we're looking at as we're heading into the end of

00:15:24.020 our fiscal year and doing the appropriations. With all the investigations you've got going,

00:15:29.940 I'm going to say this plainly, as you know, I'm pretty plain spoken.

00:15:34.180 Kevin McCarthy, the Speaker of the House, sold out the Republican conference and much of its agenda

00:15:39.320 when he agreed to what could be as much as four trillion dollars in spending beyond anything

00:15:45.380 recognized in an agreement with 118th Congress. Right now, we know that he is interested in

00:15:52.680 investigating the wildfires on Maui. He called for that. And that's all well and good. But primary

00:16:01.340 in the minds of most, I believe most Americans is a commander in chief who is corrupt as he can be.

00:16:07.920 It is the most corrupt administration in American history. We already know that because of the

00:16:13.340 results that you and your other investigating committees have produced already. It's not a

00:16:19.380 court of law, but what you have in front of you is sufficient to prosecute anyone. Is he ever going

00:16:26.400 to approve an impeachment inquiry? Well, the Speaker has been clear. He said we'll be driven by the facts

00:16:35.040 and the evidence. And if it warrants that, then we will go to an impeachment inquiry phase of this

00:16:40.460 investigation. I think we're very close, Lou. I really do. I would not be surprised at all if we

00:16:47.760 have that resolution in September sometime when we're back in Congress, back in session, have that

00:16:55.480 resolution and have a vote on it. Now, the key is, if we're going to do that, you need to see if the

00:17:02.520 whole conference is supportive of that because we're not going to get any Democrat support

00:17:06.040 and it should be driven by the facts, should be driven by the constitution, should be driven by

00:17:10.460 our duty to the American people. And I do think that that's the direction we're headed because

00:17:16.620 the evidence, you know, the left always says, oh, there's no evidence that Joe Biden, there's tons

00:17:21.280 of evidence out there. There's the 20 different companies. There's the nine different families

00:17:24.960 getting paid. There's there's there's the WhatsApp message. There's the 10 percent for the big guy

00:17:30.960 email. There's the testimony of Devin Archer. There's the dinners, the phone calls, the meetings,

00:17:37.200 for goodness sake. So on and on it goes. And then there's the actions Joe Biden took five days after

00:17:42.280 that meeting in Dubai between Burisma officials and Hunter Biden and Devin Archer. Five days later,

00:17:47.220 he goes to Kiev and attacks the prosecutor there, the very prosecutor who our State Department said was

00:17:52.500 doing was doing fine and they were willing to give a billion dollars of American taxpayer money to

00:17:56.460 Ukraine. So there's all that. If that's not evidence, I don't know what is. So, yeah, I do

00:18:01.700 think it's likely that we get to that point based on based on the facts and evidence that we're

00:18:07.100 uncovering. Well, that's encouraging. And I think personally, I think that is absolutely critical

00:18:12.620 because I suspect I don't know if you'll acknowledge this, but I suspect that you're feeling

00:18:18.720 very clearly the time pressure and also the public view that's boiling over right now about what

00:18:26.340 what we face in our government. The Marxist Dems, to be very direct, taken over our federal government.

00:18:33.840 Congressman, I can't think of a single agency that isn't under the influence and direct control

00:18:39.640 of the Marxist Dems and the very familiar deep state characters that have been part of the of this

00:18:47.500 horrible persecution of President Trump for eight years. Yeah. Yeah. Now, there is there is some

00:18:54.640 positive news, Lou, with you talk about these various agencies. You know, you got the DHS who

00:18:59.600 tried to set up a disinformation governance board. You got what we've uncovered, the censorship

00:19:03.300 focus of the FBI and others. But the positive news is the IRS announced four weeks ago they will no

00:19:10.500 longer be sending agents to Americans' homes making unannounced visits. And of course, the IRS said,

00:19:16.060 well, we're doing that for our agents' security and for their protection. Baloney. They're doing that

00:19:21.300 because we caught them knocking on a journalist's door while that journalist was testifying in front of

00:19:27.700 our committee. I mean, that's why they changed their behavior. So we're making some progress there

00:19:33.980 and with some of these other agencies. But our job is to continue to do do our oversight, do the work

00:19:38.460 that the Constitution requires us to do. And we're we're committed to doing that. Well, you're doing

00:19:44.480 the Lord's work. And without the 118th Congress and Congressman Jim Jordan leading the investigating

00:19:50.500 committees, we would not be here near what we hope will be in September, an impeachment inquiry.

00:19:58.180 Let me ask you this. Do you think all of these cases are, in fact, election interference in their

00:20:04.640 combination and their cumulative weight? Yeah. I mean, remember, it was just a little over a year

00:20:11.140 ago. They knocked on President Trump's door, raided his home. They didn't probably not. They just came in,

00:20:16.560 rated his home 91 days before the midterm election. And then think of what they have done. And here's

00:20:22.480 the guy leading in every poll. And they're now this is the fourth indictment that he faces in

00:20:28.120 Georgia. So it's Manhattan, it's D.C., it's Miami and it's Atlanta. I mean, of course, that's election

00:20:32.920 interference. And that's on top of what we what we uncovered this year in the Congress. We uncovered

00:20:38.180 what they did in 2020 with the with the 51 former Intel officials in their memo and the way they

00:20:43.880 pre bunked the Hunter Biden laptop story. And now we've uncovered because these two brave whistleblowers

00:20:48.340 came forward how David Weiss and the Justice Department were running this investigation into

00:20:53.440 President Biden's family business, his son's business. So, yeah, this is this is all, I think, designed to

00:20:59.980 increase the chances for President Biden to win, decrease and hurt President Trump. But I don't think it's

00:21:04.480 going to work. I think the American people know what's going on and they know how good of a president

00:21:09.620 President Trump was and what he got accomplished. I think they're I think he's going to be our next

00:21:14.100 president. That's certainly what I hope happens. Absolutely. Congressman Jim Jordan. Thanks, sir.

00:21:18.520 We appreciate it. You bet. Thanks for all you do. Take care, brother. Congressman Jim Jordan,

00:21:23.180 a great American. Thanks, everybody, for being with us. Our guest here tomorrow, Congressman Matt

00:21:27.720 Rosendale, Freedom Caucus member, one of the brave 20 who demanded and won reforms for the 118th

00:21:34.480 Congress. Follow me on X and Truth Social at Lou Dobbs and on Facebook and Instagram at Lou Dobbs

00:21:41.220 tonight. Be sure to go to Lou Dobbs dot com. Join us tomorrow for The Great America Show. Until then,

00:21:47.840 thanks. God bless you. God bless America.
