Trump Dominates in the First In The Nation Primary, Kamala Harris fails to take the stage, Joe Biden doubles down on his call for illegal immigration, Jim Jordan speaks on the drug cartels, and more! Don t miss it!
00:14:08.000Well, that's another thing that we're we're looking at.
00:14:11.600In particular, Chairman Comer and the Oversight Committee is dug into this whole CEFC, this Chinese energy company,
00:14:20.360the money that flowed in initially to to one of one of the many entities that Hunter Biden had set up this five million dollars.
00:14:30.420So we're looking at all that as as as part of this impeachment inquiry.
00:14:35.960You know, was was this in any way this influence peddling, this access to the brand as as Hunter Biden's business partner,
00:14:44.300Devin Archer, told us, how did that all play it play out? How did that all work?
00:14:48.000So those are the kind of questions we have. We have a number of witnesses who are coming in.
00:14:52.020Rob Walker, Eric Schwerin, Tony Bobulinski, Jim Biden and Hunter Biden over the next four weeks.
00:14:59.700We'll be talking with all those individuals. And and these are the kind of questions we need answers to.
00:15:05.660A lot of investigation headed toward one purpose, and that is to see whether you'll bring impeachment against the president of the United States.
00:15:14.440Where do you think the process stands right now?
00:15:17.260Now, when do you and let me ask this, how supportive is the current speaker of the House, Mike Johnson?
00:15:27.260Well, he's 100 percent in favor of us continuing this impeachment inquiry and whether we get articles of impeachment,
00:15:33.900be a decision that we'll make once we've we've done all the interviews and we've got all the evidence.
00:15:37.520But I do think the case right now is pretty compelling, particularly when you think about this Ukrainian energy company,
00:15:42.660Burisma and the Biden family's involvement there. And in particular, Joe Biden firing the prosecutor who was looking into the to the CEO of Burisma.
00:15:51.640And Hunter Biden asked asked Washington to weigh in to relieve the pressure that they were under.
00:15:56.860And Joe Biden did looks like he did just that. So I think that's pretty compelling stuff that we have now.
00:16:02.400And then you couple that with the way David Weiss has investigated Hunter Biden, in particular, allowing the statute of limitations to expire for those key tax years where Hunter Biden was getting all this income from Burisma.
00:16:16.520And he let that expire because I mean, I don't know why, but it sure looks like he let it expire because Burisma gets you back towards tied in with with President Biden.
00:16:25.640And so those are the kind of things that I think are pretty compelling right now.
00:16:30.020But we've got to finish up these final interviews and then make a decision.
00:16:34.000And as you do make those decisions and as you're learning more, the country, obviously, you're investigating committees, your committee and ways and means,
00:16:45.300the House Oversight Committee, your weaponization subcommittee are having an impact.
00:16:49.420In the most recent polling, we're seeing 60 percent of Americans believe that this administration is corrupt.
00:16:59.080Your reaction to what is a an interesting change of mood on the part of the American people?
00:17:06.860Well, we don't we don't we don't do our oversight work for any type of, you know, political motive or anything like that.
00:17:12.740We do it because it's our constitutional duty to conduct oversight of the executive branch.
00:17:16.760But I but I do understand, like, you know, out in Iowa a week ago, we were a week and a half ago.
00:17:22.440We're out there with President Trump and, you know, he won the state in a big way.
00:17:26.120One of the things that was on Iowa's mind, I think polling showed eight out of 10 Iowans who were showing up to vote in the Republican primary believe that the government has been weaponized against them.
00:17:35.060These agencies have been turned against we, the people, the taxpayers.
00:17:37.620And they believe that they they they think that because it's true, because they have common sense and they can see whether it's a disinformation governance board that they try to set up at the Department of Homeland Security, whether it's the Catholic memorandum, whether it's parents or terrorists, according to the Department of Justice.
00:17:53.480And on and on and on, all the all the attacks on President Trump and his family.
00:17:56.960And so I think Americans just have good common sense and they see what's going on.
00:18:03.220And that's why eight out of 10 say we think the government's been weaponized against it.
00:18:07.200It's our job as members of Congress to do the oversight so that we can stop this behavior and propose legislation that will help make sure it doesn't happen in the future.
00:18:15.500And and and now still as current as when it was convened, the January 6th committee, the more we learn, the more troubling the facts are obstruction of justice, an explosive report showing the Trump hating January 6th committee deleted, deleted evidence pertinent to the prosecution of a number of individuals.
00:18:42.580But but but but in absolute, in absolute breach of law to do so, where does that stand?
00:18:51.260And in your estimation, how how severe is the this issue?
00:18:58.920Well, I know Chairman Stile and Representative Loudermilk on the House Administration Committee, which has jurisdiction over those those those documents from the January 6th committee are digging into that issue.
00:19:12.580It looks like also that the committee, based on, I think, letters that former chairman Benny Thompson put out, that they sent information back to the White House instead of making it available for the Congress to see, for Republicans to see.
00:19:28.780They sent it back to the Biden White House.
00:19:31.180And I think that's problematic as well.
00:19:33.880So these are the kind of things that I know Congressman Loudermilk in particular is looking into a great member from the from the great state of Georgia.
00:19:43.280And to that point, we're going to take up with the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman Jim Jordan.
00:19:50.420And we're going to take up exactly where we are with all of the all of the January 6th issues that are still in play and including the videos that have not been released by two Republican speakers of the House, both of whom promised to do so.
00:20:19.480We're talking with Congressman Jim Jordan, chairman of the House House Judiciary Committee.
00:20:24.800Congressman, the the issues here are extraordinary.
00:20:29.660But when that January 6th committee is is front and center, we know that it wasn't properly organized or or authorized constitutionally.
00:20:41.320We know also that that committee deleted emails, evidence.
00:20:46.720And we know that the two speakers of the House that have succeeded Pelosi have still not released the videos.
00:20:55.080I guess the way to start is what's going on here with the Republican leadership?
00:20:59.660Well, I know that I know both Secretary McCarthy and Speaker Johnson are trying to get as much of that information out as possible.
00:21:05.380I know a lot of it has been released out there for people to see.
00:21:09.440I think there's there's some concern about I think Speaker Johnson raised an issue about people who who were maybe in the background and who weren't engaged in any type of violent activity.
00:21:21.560And he raised that issue and some others about his concern about all of it being released.
00:21:26.780But I do think we should err on the side of transparency and get as much information out as we possibly can on for releasing it at all.
00:21:33.460But, you know, that's that's in the end, a call for the speaker.
00:21:38.380And and what I what I hate is that, you know, these are these are conditions that are post promise.
00:21:47.840I don't understand why this has not been released.
00:21:51.300There's there may be a security issue, but you could you know, the way the spending is going, you could raise another 200 million dollars and fix whatever the security issue is.
00:22:00.020We've got hundreds of lives at stake right now, people who have been in the D.C. gulag.
00:22:06.820They are hostages, as President Trump said, of this Marxist, dim party that has gone to war against the American people.
00:22:16.540Why cannot anyone get through to this speaker and say, release the damn videos because there are attorneys and and defendants and victims of this ideological conflict who deserve their their freedom?
00:22:35.560And I think the speaker is trying to do all he can.
00:22:37.920And I'm sure he's getting, you know, talking to the to the lawyers and getting the best legal counsel he can on what he can release, what he can't.
00:22:45.640So we'll just have to keep pressing ahead, trying to get the truth out there and trying to get due process for for individuals who've been arrested.
00:22:55.000You know, that's that's that's supposed to be the hallmark of one of the hallmarks of our great Constitution is is due process in a timely fashion.
00:23:02.040And so that's one of the things we've got to continue to press.
00:23:05.360And we do what we appreciate the whistleblowers have come forward and helped us deal with this situation.
00:23:10.320And we'll continue to work with them as well.
00:23:12.920And I want to conclude with a trial, a bench trial that's going on right now in Georgia.
00:23:19.300Judge Amy Totenberg presiding over a case that will decide from the 2020 election actually goes to a six year old case, if you can believe this,
00:23:28.820in which just yesterday, one of the very top election machine authorities actually changed the votes for all of the machines used in Georgia with a pen, a pen he borrowed, by the way, from the the stand at the defendant.
00:23:48.020It flipped the machines, flipped the results and showed that there were over, well, unlimited vulnerabilities.
00:23:55.920And now the issue is whether or not Georgia will be forced to remove those machines and replace them with something better, say, a paper ballot.
00:24:08.080Well, I do think Americans in general, both Republicans and Democrats, independents across the board, I think, want one.
00:24:16.060You know, they want to they want to have confidence in their election process.
00:24:20.200I like the system we do in our great state where every time you when you walk into the polling location, there are two Republicans, two Democrats sitting there.
00:24:27.880You have to show an I.D. You have to do signature verification.
00:24:31.500There is a paper ballot that you color in the circles and it's scanned into the machine.
00:24:35.220So there's a paper trail. To me, that's the kind of system we need in all the states.
00:24:39.620That it's it's so basic and it's and it's quick.
00:24:42.680You get results in a timely fashion, but you have the paper trail as well.
00:24:46.740I think that is that is a smart way to to do this.
