The Great America Show - Mid-Day Update： April 7, 2026

Today may be the day of reckoning for the folks of Iran and the Ayatollahs over there who have been causing disruption to the whole entire world, not just the United States, for 47 years. President Trump speaking with Brett Baer of Fox News just moments ago, saying that 8pm is happening. Iran strikes targets on the Karg Islands early in the morning in operations, carefully avoiding direct damage to Iran s oil export infrastructure, at least for now.

00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Tuesday, April 7th.

00:00:04.400 Happy Tuesday, folks. 1.00

00:00:05.980 Today may be the day of reckoning for the folks of Iran and the Ayatollahs over there 1.00

00:00:10.920 who have been causing disruption to the whole entire world, not just the United States, for 47 years. 1.00

00:00:18.120 President Trump speaking with Brett Baer of Fox News just moments ago, saying that 8 p.m. is happening. 0.74

00:00:23.920 Now, President Trump has said at 8 p.m., airstrikes are happening to bridges and power plants across the country should Iran not be able to make a deal by that 8 p.m. Eastern time deadline.

00:00:37.320 Now, the United States has launched a series of targeted missile strikes earlier Tuesday on Iran's highly strategic Karg Islands, sending a clear message to Tehran that President Trump and his hard deadline are serious.

00:00:50.380 U.S. forces hit targets on the island early in the morning in operations, carefully avoiding direct damage to Iran's oil export infrastructure, at least for now.

00:00:59.900 Karg Island now is no ordinary target.

00:01:02.100 It serves as the backbone of Iran's economy, handling roughly 90% of the country's crude oil exports.

00:01:08.780 According to the New York Post, U.S. officials emphasized that the strikes were focused on military installations, including air defenses and storage facilities, not the energy production itself.

00:01:19.540 It's also being reported that power was cut off to Karg Island.

00:01:23.240 This is just, I think, a warning message from President Trump to the Iranian regime to come to the table and it's simple. 0.95

00:01:32.400 Get rid of your nuclear weapons and all the problems go away. 0.90

00:01:36.700 You would think with such a simple task, with such a simple thing, that the IRGC would be able to come to the table and just get it over with already.

00:01:45.920 But I guess not.

00:01:47.840 Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche today confirming that an investigation has been opened.

00:01:53.640 You folks remember the weekend that an American F-15E Strike Eagle was shot down over Iran

00:01:59.320 in the brazen attack of aggression by the terrorist regime. 0.68

00:02:02.160 Both crew members ejected.

00:02:04.020 One was rescued immediately, but the second airman, the weapons systems officer,

00:02:07.920 was stranded deep behind enemy lines, evading capture by scaling a 7,000-foot mountain ridge

00:02:13.040 and hiding in a crevice while Iranian forces hunted him with a massive bounty on his head.

00:02:18.740 What followed was nothing short of an Easter miracle.

00:02:21.160 Both airmen were saved, thanks to the unmatched bravery of our military.

00:02:25.180 President Trump himself revealed yesterday that somebody inside the government,

00:02:28.660 inside of our American government, and I wonder who it could be,

00:02:32.340 revealed and leaked the critical details about the missing airmen to the press,

00:02:37.500 and information immediately tipped off the entire Iranian regime

00:02:40.760 and put hundreds of American service members in mortal danger.

00:02:45.500 Trump said he's prepared to send that reporter to jail

00:02:47.520 unless they cough up the leaker's identity.

00:02:50.240 Now, AG Todd Blanche is backing that up with Steele.

00:02:53.700 Take a listen.

00:02:54.760 I will never comment on ongoing investigations.

00:02:57.140 I think that to the extent that we have seen a series of leaks

00:03:00.480 that necessarily involve classified information

00:03:03.580 and putting the lives of our soldiers at risk

00:03:07.040 or the lives of agents at risk,

00:03:09.960 That is something that we will always investigate.

00:03:12.980 And we will investigate if it means sending a subpoena to the reporter.

00:03:15.880 That's exactly what we should do.

00:03:17.540 And that's exactly what we will be doing.

00:03:19.100 If it means doing regular investigations to identify who within the government feels like it's okay to leak classified information to put lives at risk, then we'll try to root him or her out as well.

00:03:30.500 So I'm not going to talk about ongoing investigations except to say that, yes, we will always investigate those types of leaks.

00:03:36.180 I'll just take one more question.

00:03:37.600 There you have it, folks.

00:03:38.400 accountability is what needs to happen

00:03:40.660 for things to happen.

00:03:42.660 Now the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of

00:03:44.600 Pakistan has urgently appealed

00:03:46.560 to President Trump to delay his

00:03:48.500 looming military deadline on Iran by two

00:03:50.680 weeks. The plea comes as

00:03:52.420 President Trump, of course, 8pm deadline looms

00:03:54.760 the moment when the United States will

00:03:56.440 rain hell on Iran's power plants, bridges,

00:03:58.560 oil facilities, and critical infrastructure

00:04:00.640 if the mills don't immediately reopen

00:04:02.560 the Strait of Hormuz. So

00:04:04.500 we have to sit and wait to see
