00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fossett with this Great America Show midday update for Friday,
00:00:04.020 August 22nd. President Trump was on patrol last night with the U.S. Park Police at one of their
00:00:09.180 facilities, one of the highest crime areas in Washington, D.C., after riding around the streets
00:00:13.700 amid his federal takeover of the city. President Trump had some choice words to say for those
00:00:19.580 folks who are defending the streets of Washington, D.C. Take a listen.
00:00:22.800 The crime numbers are way down. I'm looking at you saw some of the stats. I just read them out
00:00:27.460 to me inside the numbers that we haven't seen here ever, actually ever. And I think it's probably
00:00:34.680 right now. It's to me, I feel very safe now and I'm hearing people are very safe. But I know
00:00:40.200 within two weeks, it's going to be, Pam, it's going to be at a level that's even far superior.
00:00:46.120 So I just came. I just wanted to thank you all. You're doing incredible. You're incredible people.
00:00:51.320 You make the country run. Frankly, you make the whole place run. We're going to have the best
00:00:56.560 capital ever. We're going to have the it's going to look better than it ever did.
00:01:02.000 President Trump saying his phones are ringing off the hook with great, great feedback for his
00:01:06.880 takeover of Washington, D.C. But I've never received so many phone calls thanking me for what
00:01:12.820 we've done in Washington, D.C., from people that haven't gone to a restaurant in literally in four
00:01:18.300 years. And they said, you know, what you've done is it's unprecedented because what they they they
00:01:26.640 said it was just unsafe. We couldn't do it. We'd go out and you'd see the stories, you'd read the
00:01:32.660 stories, you see all of the things that are happening. And they said, we just we couldn't we
00:01:37.940 couldn't stand it. So now I take my wife and my kids to dinner. One of them said he's gone out
00:01:43.380 four nights in a row and he hadn't gone out for four years. So it's a it's a great tribute to you.
00:01:50.280 And when I look at you people, I understand why, because there's no games, right? We're not playing
00:01:55.900 games. We're going to make it safe. And the Supreme Court this week with a big five for ruling the
00:02:00.800 Supreme Court ruling that the Trump administration may proceed with the termination of just about
00:02:06.020 eight hundred million dollars in DEI linked NIH grants. Chief Justice John Roberts siding with the
00:02:11.740 liberal justices and Amy Coney Barrett actually voting with the conservatives for once. Last month,
00:02:16.920 the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to block a court order from Boston-based Judge
00:02:21.460 William Young, a Reagan appointee. Judge Young previously ordered that the NIH be immediately
00:02:27.100 restored to more than 800 grants halted by the Trump administration. DOJ Solicitor General John
00:02:32.940 Sauer cited a recent Supreme Court ruling that allowed the Department of Education to block millions
00:02:37.460 of dollars in grants that funded DEI policies. The liberals have lost once again. Federal prosecutors
00:02:44.340 have secured evidence from FBI brass that James Comey, former FBI director, authorized classified leaks
00:02:50.520 but declined to bring charges. These newly declassified memos reveal that federal prosecutors secured this
00:02:56.500 evidence from top FBI brass indicating that former FBI director James Comey authorized classified leaks
00:03:03.000 shortly before the 2016 election, but they declined to bring the charges. According to the memos obtained by
00:03:09.040 Just the News, an investigation by U.S. Postal Inspector Service agents revealed that former FBI General Counsel
00:03:14.900 James Baker and Comey's Chief of Staff James Rebicki were involved in leaking classified information to the New York
00:03:21.540 Times in October of 2016. The specific classified information was not identified. No surprise, as James Comey,
00:03:29.660 the biggest scum to ever serve that office is still walking free. And President Trump's Alligator Alcatraz 0.99
00:03:36.540 may be short-lived. On Thursday evening, U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams, an Obama appointee of course,
00:03:42.980 barred the Trump administration from bringing new illegal alien detainees to Alligator Alcatraz.
00:03:48.740 She also ordered that the facility be dismantled within 60 days. Alligator Alcatraz's detention center for 0.89
00:03:55.300 illegal aliens, many of whom are rapists, murderers, and designated foreign terrorists. 0.77
00:04:00.760 The facility, which opened last month at the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis, 0.98
00:04:04.540 is surrounded by Florida's natural defenses including alligators, pythons, and dense swampland
00:04:10.200 in the Florida Evergrades. Earlier this month, Judge Williams cited environmental violations for her 0.97
00:04:15.440 two-week pause on future construction. The Marxist Dems are out to hurt America, and that's exactly what
00:04:21.460 they're trying to do. Speaking of another judge, D.C. Superior Court Judge Karen Briggs, a Biden 0.90
00:04:26.740 appointee, released two of the teens who attacked former Doge member Edward Corsantine, also known as
00:04:33.360 Big Balls. Earlier this month, 19-year-old Edward Corsantine was severely beaten in D.C. after he jumped
00:04:39.440 into action to save his significant other's lives. Trump posted a photo of this man after he was beaten
00:04:44.920 bloody by the mob of teens. The president has since, of course, federalized D.C. to crack down on crime
00:04:51.000 as the Marxist Dems allowed these people to continue to roam the streets. Folks, please be sure to join 0.70

00:05:00.340 Twitter, wherever you join us. We'll see you there, 6 p.m. Eastern. I'm John Fossett with this
00:05:04.680 midday update. Have a great day, everybody.
