00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Monday,
00:00:04.140 August 25th. Happy Monday, folks. Kilmar Abrego Garcia, you may remember him. He was the Maryland
00:00:09.380 man, that's how the Democrats, at least, they describe him, who was deported back in March.
00:00:14.940 You all remember the Democrats went down there to visit him to see how he was doing,
00:00:18.500 and they made a national issue of it. Abrego Garcia was ordered in 2019 by a court to be
00:00:23.980 deported. A second judge said in 2019 that Abrego Garcia should not be deported to his home country.
00:00:30.000 So he's now likely to be deported to one of the many, quote, safe third countries
00:00:34.920 that Donald Trump has now made possible. Anyone that agreed to take him, it's looking like he's
00:00:42.520 heading off to Uganda. We'll keep you posted on how this goes, but detained this morning,
00:00:48.520 heading off to a safe third world country. And over in Washington, D.C., which President Trump
00:00:53.280 is working on making great again, law enforcement has made over a thousand arrests in Washington,
00:00:58.240 D.C. as President Trump fulfills his mission to clean up the nation's capital for residents and
00:01:03.240 visitors. Pam Bondi highlighting over a thousand arrests and more than 100 illegal guns seized.
00:01:08.940 Last night, another 86 arrests, including multiple suspects who have been accused of assaulting law
00:01:14.120 enforcement and National Guard troops. Suspected Trendyagua gang members also rounded up in that most
00:01:21.460 recent 86 to be arrested. Every day, the mission is continuing to make D.C. safe again, says Pam
00:01:27.840 Bondi. And Donald Trump, as I said, is doing just that, keeping the country safe. Vice President J.D.
00:01:34.380 Vance was on with the mainstream media over the weekend, and he was asked about President Trump
00:01:39.680 keeping D.C. safe. Take a listen. We don't have to live like this. My message to my fellow citizens
00:01:45.900 here in D.C. or all across the country would be that allowing vagrants and armed robberies
00:01:51.900 to take over your city, that's a policy choice. What President Trump is showing is that if you
00:01:56.980 just empower local law enforcement to arrest and prosecute the bad guys, we can take back American 0.99
00:02:02.100 streets. You, as a young family, whatever the color of your skin, you should not have to cross the
00:02:07.080 street because there's a crazy person yelling at your children on the other side. You should not
00:02:11.540 be worried that if you take your son out for a meal at eight o'clock in the evening, an armed robber
00:02:16.700 is going to assault your family. This is a policy choice to allow lawlessness to overrun our cities.
00:02:24.000 The president has made a different policy choice, and I think what he's showing the entire American
00:02:28.440 community is that we don't have to live like this, and that's the biggest thing that will come out
00:02:32.640 of D.C. It matters a lot for D.C., but I think it matters more for the whole country
00:02:37.000 to see that if we just make better choices, we can take back our cities.
00:02:40.460 Vice President Vance, as he often does, saying it how it is. Chris Christie, he's the gift that
00:02:45.720 keeps on giving and he just won't go away, was also on with the Marxist mainstream media over the
00:02:51.520 weekend, and he had an issue with John Bolton and his house being raided by the FBI for leaking
00:02:57.580 allegedly, we'll call it, classified documents. Take a listen to what Chris Christie had to say
00:03:03.620 that now has President Trump saying he may go back and look at the 2013 Bridgegate scandal,
00:03:09.500 which Chris Christie was accused of shutting down the George Washington Bridge. It's the bridge that
00:03:13.920 connects northern Manhattan to Jersey. Take a listen to what Christie had to say in getting involved
00:03:19.520 in business that has, of course, nothing to do with him.
00:03:21.960 Absolutely. And look, let's be fair. When we talked about this in the context of the raid of
00:03:27.440 Mar-a-Lago, I said the same thing at that point, that a federal judge had found probable cause to
00:03:33.340 sign off on a search warrant, which means there's something. It doesn't necessarily mean that there's
00:03:37.220 evidence beyond a reasonable doubt of guilt to a violation of a federal law, but it means there's
00:03:42.100 probable cause that a crime, evidence of a crime, was kept at the residence where he was searched.
00:03:47.560 Same thing applies to John Bolton. And in this instance, they got two judges. They got a search
00:03:51.720 warrant in Maryland. They got a search warrant in the District of Columbia. And let's face it,
00:03:54.880 John, the District of Columbia is not known as a bastion of conservative judges. So I would say
00:04:00.840 that there's real evidence that they believe something is there. Now, let's see what happens
00:04:06.240 from here. But I think it's kind of funny to hear the president talk the way he does about
00:04:13.100 Bolton and classified information. Yet when he had classified information, the same rules didn't
00:04:20.000 apply.
00:04:20.840 And to see the FBI director posting on X while the raid is underway, I mean, could you have imagined
00:04:27.840 FBI director, then FBI director Chris Wray, tweeting while Mar-a-Lago was being searched?
00:04:34.020 I couldn't imagine Chris Wray ever tweeting. He wasn't on social media. He was not someone who was a
00:04:40.580 sweet master like Cash Patel is.
00:04:44.180 Chris Christie fighting to stay relevant. Not that he was ever relevant, but he's looking for his place
00:04:50.180 on this earth. And maybe one day he'll find it. Folks, please be sure to join us tonight for The
00:04:55.220 Great America Show, 6 p.m. Eastern Time, Rumble, YouTube, Twitter, wherever you guys join us.
00:04:59.760 We'll see you there tonight, 6 p.m. Eastern Time for The Great America Show. I'm John Fawcett
00:05:03.080 with this midday update. Happy Monday, folks.
