00:00:00.000 I'm Lou Dobbs with The Great America Show, midday update for Saturday, March 2nd.
00:00:06.040 I have to begin today with the calamity that is our southern border.
00:00:10.440 It's a disaster for the United States in so many ways,
00:00:14.500 rising crime rates, violent crimes up all across our country.
00:00:18.900 But I want to alert everyone to the massive costs of this Biden-inspired invasion
00:00:24.840 of as many as 14 million illegals since he took office.
00:00:29.340 Yes. Estimates are the total cost is half a trillion dollars.
00:00:33.820 The illegals are crushing our schools, hospitals, medical and social services are simply swamped, 1.00
00:00:39.920 housing, food and shelter, all that in the cost estimate.
00:00:44.100 And this at a time when the national debt is $34.5 trillion and rising dramatically.
00:00:51.440 That debt, though, is increasing by a trillion dollars every 100 days.
00:00:57.620 Please think about that.
00:00:59.780 A trillion dollars more in federal spending every 100 days.
00:01:06.220 That means the debt will total $38 trillion this year.
00:01:11.100 We're reaching the breaking point, folks.
00:01:14.220 Moody's has already cut its rating on U.S. government debt to negative from stable.
00:01:20.380 From the time of that warning last November, the national debt has risen another trillion dollars.
00:01:28.260 This is simply sheer madness.
00:01:30.800 The effects are already apparent.
00:01:33.400 Watch the regional and smaller banks.
00:01:36.160 Yesterday, New York Community Bank, its stock plummeted 26 percent
00:01:41.280 because its commercial real estate loans are threatened by declining commercial property values.
00:01:47.420 And I fear both the Biden runaway spending and the Fed's potential misjudgments
00:01:53.620 and Congress's refusal to stop the mad spending will lead to true disaster.
00:02:00.760 A Philadelphia bank is failing.
00:02:03.140 Republic First Bancorp.
00:02:05.120 Its stock is down to a penny a share. 1.00
00:02:08.200 Folks, I fear the fools who are running this country. 0.99
00:02:11.240 And so should we all, in my opinion. 0.99
00:02:14.020 Please join us for the Great America Saturday show today.
00:02:16.880 Thanks.
00:02:17.760 Have a great day.
00:02:18.960 This is Lou Dobbs with the Great America Update.
