00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Thursday, November 14th.
00:00:05.980 Folks, in 2016, a lot of Marxist Dems and Hollywood elites told us they would leave the country if Trump won re-election.
00:00:12.820 In 2020, it kind of calmed down a little bit and we heard less of it.
00:00:16.220 Well, 2024 is here, President Trump has won the election, and some of them, or maybe just one of them, is finally holding up on their word.
00:00:24.180 Hollywood star Ava Longoria has revealed that she said goodbye to the United States, saying that if President-elect Donald Trump keeps his promises that he made during the campaign, that America is going to be a very, very scary place.
00:00:36.520 In an interview this week with Marie Claire, Ava Longoria, who of course endorsed Kamala Harris, said that her and her family will now split time between Mexico and Spain.
00:00:46.140 As for the presidential election, the Desperate Housewives actress said she's still recovering. 0.97
00:00:50.340 Folks, these people are mentally deranged. This isn't, you know, just a one-off. These people are absolutely mentally deranged. 0.83
00:00:59.400 To Ava Longoria, we say, don't let the door hit you on the way out. 0.85
00:01:03.340 And Ava Longoria may not be happy with America, but a stunning new poll out shows that Americans are united behind one key issue that Donald Trump ran on.
00:01:12.700 A stunning 64% of Americans approve of Donald Trump's plan for mass deportations of illegal aliens.
00:01:18.400 Only 33% disapprove.
00:01:21.780 Rasmussen, who's one of the few pollsters who actually got the 2024 election down to the tee, Mark Mitchell, their head pollster, a good friend of this show, a good friend of mine, doing an absolute terrific job.
00:01:32.380 He's the one who's responsible for this poll.
00:01:34.620 When he asked how important it was to stop illegal immigration, 76% of those surveyed say it's very important.
00:01:41.120 26% say it's somewhat important.
00:01:43.920 Only 22% say it was not important.
00:01:46.840 So I think Americans are unified behind this illegal immigration and it needs to stop. 0.67
00:01:52.500 It really needs to stop in this country.
00:01:54.520 Well, with President Trump's big election victory, of course, there's got to be some rhinos who come out and ruin it for all.
00:02:00.720 The House representatives, the Republican arm of it, moves to make it nine times harder to vote to vacate the Speaker of the House.
00:02:10.240 Two factions of the House Republican Conference have broken a deal to raise the threshold to trigger a motion to vacate the chair.
00:02:16.980 The procedure to force the vote to recommend and remove the Speaker of the House.
00:02:20.560 From one member to now nine members.
00:02:24.400 The Conservative House Freedom Caucus and governing-focused GOP Main Street Caucus had been in talks, along with Speaker Johnson, about the changes to the motion to vacate.
00:02:32.540 This, of course, according to three Republicans involved in the discussion.
00:02:36.140 An internal party rule change would defuse the procedural weapon used to remove Johnson's predecessor, Kevin McCarthy, from power.
00:02:43.600 In exchange, GOP lawmakers would not push for changes that would punish members for voting against the rule.
00:02:49.820 If Johnson could successfully raise the threshold, it would eliminate a key problem for him, of course, going into the next Congress.
00:02:57.340 So, once again, folks, the rhinos win, and Johnson will be able to do whatever the hell he wants and get whatever the hell he wants. 0.99
00:03:06.080 And that's just the way things are going to go in this new Congress, because nobody, once again, is held accountable for any of their actions, especially the damn rhinos. 0.95
00:03:16.160 Folks, we also have some good news for you on this show, as President Trump continues to appoint his cabinet members in key staff-level positions. 0.96
00:03:24.020 Cash Patel, who's a great friend of this show, a great friend of Lou Dobbs, a great friend of mine, is reportedly in consideration, and top consideration, to become the next FBI director.
00:03:34.620 Folks, this would be an absolutely massive change in that institution that is just so ripe with corruption, out-of-control corruption, that needs someone like Cash Patel to go in there and clean up the place and take over and undo all of the bad things that Christopher Wray has oversaw and done himself.
00:03:56.900 Folks, please be sure to join us for today's episode of The Great America Show.
00:04:01.180 We're joined by author and brilliant journalist Lee Smith.
00:04:04.520 He's got an all-new book out that he comes on the show to talk about.
00:04:08.080 The Plot Against the President, one of his first books that he did, and the Deep State's War on President Trump and his administration.
00:04:14.640 He's out with an absolute new banger.
00:04:16.860 He joins us today to come on and discuss.
00:04:18.780 He's also got a bone to pick with Obama.
00:04:21.540 Obama is not leaving D.C.
00:04:23.280 Joe Biden may be leaving, Kamala may be leaving, but Obama's still living in D.C.
00:04:28.020 Lee joins us to tell us why he thinks Obama will not leave D.C.
00:04:32.680 and the threat it poses for the Republican Party.
00:04:35.660 That's today on The Great America Show.
00:04:38.020 Folks, please be sure to join us for that full episode today.
