00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Thursday, November 21st.
00:00:05.940 Matt Gaetz has announced that he is withdrawing his name for consideration for the nomination for attorney general.
00:00:11.680 The shocking announcement was posted on X this morning.
00:00:14.900 Matt Gaetz tweeting out, quote, I had excellent meetings with senators yesterday.
00:00:19.100 I appreciate their thoughtful feedback and the incredible support of so many.
00:00:22.920 While the momentum was strong and it's clear my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction
00:00:27.100 to the critical work of the Trump Vance transition team.
00:00:30.460 There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington shuffle.
00:00:34.560 Thus, I'll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as attorney general.
00:00:38.680 Trump's DOJ must be in place and be ready on day one.
00:00:41.960 I remain fully committed to see that Donald J. Trump is the most successful president in history.
00:00:46.720 I will forever be honored that President Trump nominated me to lead the Department of Justice
00:00:51.120 and I'm certain he will save America.
00:00:53.700 And there you go, folks.
00:00:55.140 Just like that, Matt Gaetz has caved to the Marxist left.
00:00:59.600 Someone who hasn't caved to the Marxist left as a Marxist himself, Jussie Smollett, or as
00:01:04.360 Tucker Carlson likes to call him, Jussie Smollett.
00:01:07.500 The Illinois Supreme Court has reversed the conviction of the MAGA hate hoaxer Jussie Smollett.
00:01:13.720 The Illinois Supreme Court today reversing that conviction.
00:01:17.900 The former Empire actor took his case to the Illinois Supreme Court in September
00:01:21.180 in a last-ditch effort to have his 2021 conviction overturned.
00:01:26.040 You folks may recall in December of 2021, Smollett was found guilty on five charges of disorderly
00:01:31.360 conduct, one count for each time he lied to the police about the hoax attack.
00:01:36.000 Smollett was found not guilty on a sixth count of lying to a detective.
00:01:39.820 Make that make sense.
00:01:41.500 In March of 2022, a judge scolded Jussie Smollett for his narcissism and hypocrisy before 0.51
00:01:47.080 sentencing him to 150 days in jail.
00:01:50.060 Smollett was also sentenced to 30 months probation and ordered to pay a $120,000 restitution and
00:01:56.100 a $25,000 fee.
00:01:58.280 Smollett has a, we'll call it a severe case of Trump derangement syndrome.
00:02:02.620 Smollett laughably claimed that two white men ambushed him at 2 a.m.
00:02:06.000 in 20-degree weather in downtown Chicago while screaming, this is MAGA country.
00:02:10.380 The Empire actor said the attackers wore bleach on him and put a noose around his neck while
00:02:15.920 verbally abusing him with homophobic and racial slurs.
00:02:19.140 It turns out, well, part of that story wasn't exactly true.
00:02:24.180 The two folks who allegedly attacked Smollett were two Nigerian brothers, obviously not white
00:02:30.680 fellas, and they were paid $3,000 to help him pull off this MAGA country hate crime hoax.
00:02:36.600 Yet Smollett is getting off the hook?
00:02:40.260 Doesn't really make much sense.
00:02:42.320 I guess in Corrupt Chicago, if you got a little bit of money and a little bit of influence,
00:02:46.460 it goes a long way. 0.92
00:02:48.340 Turning now to another faker.
00:02:50.700 President Joe Biden, a self-proclaimed Catholic, has awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom
00:02:55.680 to former Planned Parenthood President Cecil Richards on Wednesday in a private ceremony.
00:03:01.520 Richards oversaw nearly 4 million abortions while leading the organization for 12 years
00:03:05.620 between 2006 and 2018, according to the Susan B.
00:03:09.660 Anthony Pro-Life for America.
00:03:11.480 The Medal of Freedom, as I'm sure you folks all know, is given at the discretion of the
00:03:15.060 president to a civilian who has made a, quote, especially meritorious contribution to the
00:03:21.440 United States.
00:03:22.820 There goes Joe Biden again, parading around abortions like it's the greatest thing that's 1.00
00:03:27.560 ever happened. 1.00
00:03:28.480 Folks, these Marxist Dems are absolutely sick in the head. 0.88
00:03:31.360 But good news, Biden's got less than two months in that White House, and he's probably going 0.97
00:03:37.040 to take a vacation somewhere in there in between.
00:03:38.920 So it's even less than that.
00:03:41.800 And Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene getting a little bit of a promotion. 0.67
00:03:44.680 Marjorie Taylor Greene is set to chair the subcommittee tasked with working with Elon Musk
00:03:49.840 and Vivek Ramaswamy to slash wasteful spending throughout the federal government.
00:03:54.640 House Oversight Chairman Jamie Comer is setting up that new subcommittee, the Doge subcommittee.
00:03:59.180 Comer says Marjorie Taylor Greene will be responsible for running that committee.
00:04:03.760 Folks, please be sure to join us for today's episode of The Great America Show.
00:04:06.940 We're joined by brilliant author and author of the all new book, Plan Red, China's Project
00:04:10.940 to Destroy America, Gordon Chang.
00:04:14.060 We take up the foreign policy that's going to be.
00:04:17.060 The days of weak foreign policy are over, folks.
00:04:19.980 Some of you may be upset to hear that, but I'm sure many of you are more happy to hear
00:04:24.220 that.
00:04:25.000 The Biden foreign policy is gone.
00:04:27.040 The Trump foreign policy is in.
00:04:28.460 And Gordon and I take up what's going to happen with North Korea, what's going to happen with
00:04:32.240 China, and what's going to happen with this whole dispute between Russia and Ukraine.
00:04:36.660 We take all that up and much more today on The Great America Show, folks.
00:04:40.220 Please be sure to join us for that and follow us on our new Instagram page, at The Great America
00:04:44.620 Show.
