00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Friday, November 21st.
00:00:04.560 Happy Friday, folks. I hope you all had a great week and you're ready for the weekend.
00:00:08.160 Hakeem Jeffries just can't seem to stop making a fool of himself and he can't stay away from those TV cameras.
00:00:14.700 And boy, we want him to keep going because he makes a fool of himself, like I said, every time.
00:00:19.400 This morning, losing his temper after an actual journalist destroyed his garbage talking points during an interview with CNBC's Squawk Box
00:00:27.740 to discuss the next steps in ensuring a possible extension of the expanded Obamacare subsidies,
00:00:33.260 which are scheduled to expire at the end of the year.
00:00:36.120 Now, of course, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer decided to shut down the government,
00:00:39.820 the obscenity to bully the Republicans to caving on the issue.
00:00:42.680 However, that backfired when eight Democrats did the right thing and finally ended the shutdown earlier this month
00:00:48.440 with no extensions and no extensions of the subsidies.
00:00:52.400 Jeffries is still trying to figure out his talking points on health care,
00:00:56.240 but the co-host on CNBC was not having it.
00:01:00.420 After she asked why Jeffries would not compromise and offer a short-term extension,
00:01:04.900 while both the GOP and the Democrats figured out a long-term solution,
00:01:08.880 Jeffries claims that the Democrats had already offered a compromise during the Schumer shutdown.
00:01:13.620 He then started blaming Republicans for the current situation.
00:01:17.260 However, quickly noted that the shutdown is now over and wanted to know what compromise Jeffries is now offering.
00:01:23.520 She had any proposal would need bipartisan support.
00:01:27.160 Jeffries, of course, wants no part of that.
00:01:29.220 Take a listen to this exchange.
00:01:30.560 If you want to satiate, if you want to get done, you are going to need at least some Republicans to come over.
00:01:36.000 Why not start with a one-year extension or potentially even a two-year extension?
00:01:40.860 Well, Leader Schumer offered a one-year extension in the context of trying to end the Trump-Republican shutdown.
00:01:48.260 That's different.
00:01:49.020 I'm talking about what you have now.
00:01:50.660 Let's not go back to what's done in the past and what has not been extended.
00:01:53.520 If you want to get something that has actually done, you need to do something that will have bipartisan support.
00:01:57.220 You can ask me the question.
00:01:58.980 You can ask me the question.
00:02:00.060 I'll provide the answer.
00:02:01.000 Answer the question instead of going back.
00:02:01.820 I'll provide the answer.
00:02:02.380 No, no.
00:02:02.940 I'm providing an answer in order to provide context.
00:02:06.820 Republicans have repeatedly refused to take yes for an answer.
00:02:11.640 It was a very reasonable multi-year extension that was offered.
00:02:15.600 It was a one-year straight extension plus a multi-year process through a bipartisan commission to more permanently resolve the Affordable Care Act issue.
00:02:25.440 So having that context is absolutely important, regardless of what you may think.
00:02:29.480 It's important context to make me realize that I don't think you want to get a deal done.
00:02:33.940 I think this is something where you'd like to see the rates go higher and allow the Republicans to hang themselves with that.
00:02:39.340 Is that the answer?
00:02:40.200 That's absolutely a ridiculous assertion.
00:02:43.980 Three years is not going to get passed, so what do you do?
00:02:47.020 Shame on you for saying that, because it's not a partisan issue for us.
00:02:51.960 In fact, the states that are most impacted as it relates to an Affordable Care Act tax credit expiration are all Republican states.
00:03:00.960 We're talking about West Virginia, Wyoming, Alaska, Mississippi, right?
00:03:06.620 Tennessee.
00:03:07.980 Over and over and over again, we can go through the list.
00:03:09.740 We've got some Republicans who would sign on if you guys could come up with something that actually looks like a bipartisan deal.
00:03:14.420 Listen, this is not a partisan fight for us.
00:03:17.260 It's a patriotic fight.
00:03:18.840 Hakeem Jeffries, a total fool through and through.
00:03:21.660 And like I said, let's keep getting him on air because he's showing exactly who he is and continues to show the voters exactly how corrupt and how asinine the Democrat Party is.
00:03:33.760 Now, if you want to know how asinine they are, the DNC has taken out a huge loan in anticipation for next year's midterms as the party lacks leadership with nothing to show for with the government shutdown.
00:03:45.980 Politico reported today that the FEC reported a $15 million loan.
00:03:53.160 Not entirely sure what they're going to do with that $15 million, but it just goes to show you they got to buy and spend as much as they possibly can because they have no record to run on.
00:04:03.760 Speaking of records, the sleazebag congressman from California, Eric Swalwell, has confirmed he's running for governor of the great state of California.
00:04:13.220 In an announcement on his website, Swalwell for Governor, Swalwell described himself as someone with fresh ideas and a tremendous heart who's raised in Dublin, California.
00:04:21.780 Eric has fought for us as a prosecutor, a city councilman in his hometown, and a U.S. congressman.
00:04:26.680 And as the son of a hardworking cop and small business owner, Eric believes in the California promise.
00:04:32.820 Work hard and dream bigger for your kids.
00:04:35.440 Yeah, it's the same Eric Swalwell who was caught sleeping with a Chinese spy.
00:04:39.320 It's also the same Eric Swalwell who's under investigation right now for mortgage fraud.
00:04:43.920 Yeah, you guessed it.
00:04:45.540 Lives in California, but says he lives as a primary resident in D.C.
00:04:50.300 You know, it's the same thing that all these Marxist Dems have been caught doing.
00:04:55.300 Total, total joke, folks.
00:04:57.060 Total joke.
00:04:57.980 Speaking of democratic corruption, Grammy-winning rapper Pras Michael of Fugees was sentenced on Thursday to 14 years in prison
00:05:07.720 for a case in which he was convicted of illegally funneling millions of dollars in foreign contributions
00:05:12.980 to former President Barack Hussein Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.
00:05:19.740 He declined to address the court before U.S. District Judge Colleen Culler-Contley sentenced him.
00:05:24.920 In April of 2023, a federal grand jury convicted Michael of 10 counts, including conspiracy,
00:05:30.120 and acting as an unregistered foreign agent of a foreign government.
00:05:32.960 The trial in Washington, D.C. included testimony from actors Leonardo DiCaprio, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
00:05:40.340 Justice Department prosecutors said federal sentence and guidelines recommend a life sentence for Michael,
00:05:44.940 whom they said betrayed his country for money and lied unapologetically and unrelentlessly to carry out his schemes
00:05:51.000 in the name of Barack Hussein Obama.
00:05:53.600 Folks, please be sure to join us tonight, 6 p.m. Eastern time.
00:05:56.460 We're going to be joined on The Great America Show by former NSA senior intel analyst Russ Tice.
00:06:00.800 There is so much to talk about in the intel communities and all of that great stuff.
