October 10th. Inflation rose more than expected last month, dimming hopes for yet another big

rate cut from the Fed. The consumer price index rose 2.4% versus a year ago in September above

the 2.3% increase economists had expected, this according to the Labor Department on Thursday.

Month over month, consumer price index rose 0.2%, steeper than the 0.1% increase economists had

expected, but even with the 0.2% number from August. Core inflation is a metric closely watched

his Republican challenger Sheehy in deep red Montana. Sheehy's summer surge has continued through the

fall, with challenger now leading safely ahead of the margin of error. The first poll out from the
