00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Foster with this Great America Show midday update for Monday, October 13th.
00:00:04.940 Happy Columbus Day, folks. That's right. It's called Columbus Day again.
00:00:09.060 President Donald Trump cheering Israeli lawmakers the long, painful nightmare is finally over
00:00:14.500 after helping broker a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and Gaza.
00:00:19.040 During the first address since the U.S. president since 2008,
00:00:22.600 Trump said the day would mark the, quote,
00:00:24.360 moment that everything began to change and change very much for the better in the Middle East.
00:00:29.260 President Trump's address to the Israeli parliament comes on the day that the last 20 living hostages
00:00:34.180 held in the Palestinian enclave were released by Hamas.
00:00:37.780 Israel is releasing 250 Palestinian prisoners and more than 1,700 other Palestinian
00:00:42.520 detained during the two-year military operation in Gaza.
00:00:46.960 During a whirlwind trip to the region, Trump is also attending the peace summit
00:00:50.440 in Egypt alongside Egyptian president and other world leaders.
00:00:55.000 After President Trump touched down in Egypt, he said the second phase of negotiations
00:00:58.880 on a peace agreement were underway. Take a listen to President Trump absolutely
00:01:03.920 roasting the Biden administration during his historic peace summit in Egypt. Here he is.
00:01:09.800 We're going to get a lot of people joining the Abraham Accords. We have the four great 0.96
00:01:13.640 nations that did it early on and they stayed with it. And then you had the Biden administration,
00:01:19.520 which is the worst administration in the history of our country. And obviously,
00:01:23.540 they did nothing on that and anything else. And so it stayed at four. And now a lot of people,
00:01:29.380 even today, they're talking about all joining up. So, so many people have talked to me about that.
00:01:34.500 And it's going to be a great tribute to really the United States. I mean, the United States has worked
00:01:40.260 very hard in the Middle East. So it would be a tribute to us and to Jared and to Steve and to all of the
00:01:46.120 people, Marco, all of the people that have worked so hard on that.
00:01:48.920 And it really is going to bring, it's going to guarantee that it all stays together.
00:01:54.020 Now, on the plane ride in, President Trump also went after Anthony Blinken,
00:01:57.900 former Secretary of State, who's been on Twitter talking badly about President Trump,
00:02:03.120 talking about how what President Trump is doing is just a continuation of the Biden regime.
00:02:08.040 We all know that's the furthest thing from the truth. Take a listen to President Trump
00:02:11.660 absolutely leveling Joe Biden and Anthony Blinken.
00:02:14.300 Some of the top Biden administration folks who were there, like Anthony Blinken,
00:02:19.720 seem to want some credit for the peace deal. Blinken says it's good that President Trump
00:02:24.360 adopted and built on the plan that the Biden administration developed. What do you think
00:02:30.520 about that?
00:02:31.160 Everybody knows it's a joke. They didn't do it. They did such a bad job. This should have never
00:02:35.980 happened. This wouldn't have even happened. That was weak leadership, terrible. And the same
00:02:41.000 thing with Russia, Russia, Ukraine. If a just a decent president, not a great president like
00:02:49.200 me, not a great president. If a decent president was in, you wouldn't have had the Russia, Ukraine.
00:02:55.140 And this is, I would say, even more so. This was bad policy by Biden and by Obama. Remember when
00:03:02.820 BB came and he begged that you not do what they were doing with Iran? You remember that, right? 0.96
00:03:07.700 They begged him and they wouldn't even listen to him. Everything they did was the opposite
00:03:12.380 of what you should have done. And it's nice that they try and take a little credit. That
00:03:16.700 was years ago and the mistakes were made years ago. And it was both by Biden and Obama.
00:03:23.180 And so what did you do so differently? Because I know a lot of it was behind the scenes. So
00:03:29.520 what did you do so much differently than Joe Biden? And to end the war, I resonated with
00:03:36.000 the Arab leaders, the Muslim leaders and the Jewish leaders. For whatever reason, you tell
00:03:41.660 me why, you know, he said that in my first news conference, I answered more questions of
00:03:48.140 him than Biden did in four years. And I think that's pretty close to being true.
00:03:52.300 There were no Pinocchios in the fact check. That's right. That's right.
00:03:56.900 President Trump's peace plan in the Middle East has also got some Democrats giving President
00:04:02.100 Trump the credit that he's due, like Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona. Take a listen. This must
00:04:07.880 melt their minds to have to give credit where credit is due, like they haven't done for the
00:04:12.960 last 10 years under President Trump. Take a listen.
00:04:15.560 How much credit does President Trump deserve for this deal?
00:04:18.480 I think he should get a lot of credit. I mean, this was his deal. He he worked this out. He sent
00:04:25.020 Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, you know, over to negotiate this. And it's so far has done well.
00:04:32.200 Hopefully the hostages get released here might not be within 24 hours, but certainly I think by
00:04:36.440 by Monday. And that's that's progress from the Marxist down senator Mark Kelly to your ears, folks.
00:04:44.260 President Trump deserves the credit. I wish more Democrats would be like him and come
00:04:48.300 out and give credit where credit is due. Folks, please be sure to join us tonight at 6 p.m.
00:04:53.440 Eastern time for The Great America Show, 6 p.m. Eastern time. We're going to be taking up all
00:04:57.280 the details on this massive, massive victory for the world and where we go from here. All of that
00:05:04.200 and much, much more tonight at 6 p.m. Eastern time on The Great America Show. I'm John Fossett
00:05:08.180 with this midday update. We'll see you at 6 p.m., folks.
