00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Thursday, September 11th, a very somber day, folks, as we look back the 24 years that have passed since the horrid attacks in September 11th, 2001, which turned our New York City upside down and changed the world.
00:00:17.480 In fact, as we know it now, till this day, we still remember the nearly 3000 lives that were lost on that day in 2001 and the thousands of lives that were lost since from conditions sustained on those days, our New York Police Department, our FDNY, anyone who worked in the surrounding area, the cancers and everything that have come from it.
00:00:43.560 I myself buried an uncle a year ago from brain cancer that was sustained from 9-11.
00:00:50.960 So we keep those people near and dear to our hearts, our first responders and everybody who was affected by that day.
00:00:57.420 24 years later, you guys are still in our hearts every single day.
00:01:00.940 And an extra somber day today as we mourn the loss of political icon and patriot, great American Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated yesterday on a college campus in Utah.
00:01:14.540 The shooter is still at large, although the FBI has released images of who they believe to be the shooter.
00:01:20.020 They say they're narrowing in and we could expect some big developments to come any moment, any hour, any day now as they have recovered a weapon that was allegedly used to assassinate him.
00:01:35.800 We'll keep you up to date here on The Great America Show.
00:01:38.320 The FBI is now offering an award of $100,000 for information leading to the identification and the arrest of this individual or individuals who are responsible for the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

00:01:59.100 Take a listen to President Trump with that announcement this morning before his 9-11 memorial.
00:02:03.960 Before we begin, let me express the horror and grief so many Americans at the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk have felt.

00:02:24.720 Our prayers are with his wonderful wife, Eric, and his beautiful children.
00:02:32.000 Fantastic people they are.

00:02:47.000 I'm pleased to announce that I will soon be awarding Charlie Kirk posthumously the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
00:02:56.480 The date of the ceremony will be announced, and I can only guarantee you one thing, that we will have a very big crowd.
00:03:03.060 Very, very big.
00:03:04.520 Charlie is survived by his beautiful wife, Erica, and two children, a three-year-old girl and a one-year-old boy,
00:03:09.880 who will not know what it's like to grow up with a father because of the cowardice acts of this individual,
00:03:16.240 who will soon hopefully be caught and brought to the knees of justice, hopefully alive,
00:03:21.440 so he can experience what it's like to go through the process.
00:03:24.680 Since the investigation started, the Utah police were able to make a few breakthroughs.
00:03:29.800 They were able to track down some of the movements of this shooter.
