00:00:00.000 I'm Lou Dobbs with this Great America Show midday update.
00:00:03.840 Ford begins layoffs as the United Auto Workers Union strike goes on.
00:00:08.860 President Trump considers joining them in Michigan.
00:00:12.160 The United Auto Workers Union today in their fourth day of strikes against GM, Ford, and Stellantis.
00:00:18.200 About 9% of the union workforce is now striking.
00:00:21.860 Ford has laid off 600 workers.
00:00:23.860 General Motors set to lay off 2,000 this week if a deal isn't made.
00:00:29.060 GM CEO Mary Barra's salary went up 34% over the last four years,
00:00:34.500 but the union workers, their pay went up a few percent.
00:00:38.240 Why should your workers not get the same type of pay increases that you're getting leading the company?
00:00:44.500 We think we have a very competitive offer on the table,
00:00:47.440 and that's why we want to get back there and get this done.
00:00:49.340 But if you're getting a 34% pay increase over four years,
00:00:53.560 and you're offering 20% to employees right now, do you think that's fair?
00:00:58.580 Well, I think when you look at the overall structure and the fact that 92% is based on performance,
00:01:04.680 and you look at what we've been doing of sharing in the profitability when the company does well,
00:01:09.860 I think we've got a very compelling offer on the table, and that's the focus I have right now.
00:01:14.320 President Trump has told the union that Joe Biden is selling them and their jobs out for the electric car industry.
00:01:21.420 Trump says he's thinking about joining the union on their Michigan picket lines.
00:01:25.420 Hunter Biden suing his father's Internal Revenue Service,
00:01:29.520 the first son filing a lawsuit against the agency today,
00:01:32.940 alleging two IRS whistleblowers improperly disclosed information
00:01:37.180 to congressional investigators about the DOJ's tax probe into Hunter Biden.
00:01:43.720 Hunter's attorneys say this is an assault on his rights because the information was nationally televised.
00:01:49.300 I wonder if the Biden family were as aggrieved when they and the Marxist Dems released President Trump's tax returns.
00:01:57.960 A big mystery today, a $100 million F-35 stealth fighter jet missing over South Carolina.
00:02:04.860 The advanced stealth jet fighter went missing yesterday afternoon.
00:02:09.100 The pilot, for unknown reasons, set the jet on autopilot and then ejected from the aircraft.
00:02:14.300 Officials say they have no evidence that the plane has actually crashed.
00:02:18.660 They found no wreckage.
00:02:20.260 There's no information on why the pilot ejected, why he would put it on autopilot,
00:02:25.260 or where in the world the aircraft is now.
00:02:28.580 Please join us today on The Great America Show.
00:02:30.740 Our guest is Senator Tommy Tuberville.
00:02:33.160 The senator says we have little leadership in the Pentagon and no leadership at all in the White House.
00:02:38.740 He's been in a months-long dispute with the Pentagon over woke military policies and says he won't relent.
00:02:45.700 We have zero leadership in the Pentagon.
00:02:48.700 Now, I won't say zero in the Pentagon.
00:02:50.580 We've probably got some good people.
00:02:52.300 But I know for a fact in the White House there's zero leadership, and they all work hand in hand.
00:02:57.020 Look, you can't find a parking spot to park any kind of car at the Pentagon right now
00:03:02.860 because they all got two or three black SUVs, all these generals and admirals, with their entourages.
00:03:07.960 Now, I want you to think about this.
00:03:09.560 A four-star has a budget of around $300 million or $400 million and a staff of $1,000 to $2,000.
00:03:18.640 Yeah, you heard me right.
00:03:20.160 Each one of them.
00:03:20.700 Now, we've got 44 four-stars in the United States military as we speak.
00:03:25.280 44.
00:03:25.740 We had seven during World War II.
00:03:27.600 You don't think we're not top-heavy?
00:03:29.440 And they're worried about we don't have enough people to make decisions?
00:03:32.600 My God, the decisions that they made with Afghanistan, they should have cleaned the house over there. 1.00
00:03:37.620 With the people that let this go on.
00:03:39.740 So, hey, they don't need to talk to me about readiness or recruitment. 0.99
00:03:43.340 Their recruitment started when they cut out 8,000 true Americans from the military for not taking a damn vaccine. 0.99
00:03:50.560 Now, that is ridiculous. 0.99
00:03:52.020 And we're finding out now it didn't work. 0.91
00:03:54.700 I mean, it actually hurt people.
00:03:56.280 They made the right decision.
00:03:58.020 But this government, this administration we have now, Lou, they're off the tracks.
00:04:02.600 They're not, I don't call it Republican and Democrat anymore.
00:04:06.080 I call it Americans versus anti-Americans because it's exactly what it is. 0.73
00:04:10.960 Please join us today with Senator Tuberville, a great American.
00:04:14.220 And please join us each and every weekday.
00:04:16.800 I'm Lou Dobbs with this Great America Update.
00:04:19.160 We'll be right back.
