00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Tuesday, September 2nd.

00:00:04.860 Happy Tuesday, folks, and happy September.

00:00:07.400 President Trump to award Rudy Giuliani the Presidential Medal of Freedom after America's mayor was severely injured in a car accident.

00:00:15.340 President Trump on Monday announcing that Giuliani will be the first to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom in his second term.

00:00:23.440 Giuliani, 81, was severely injured in a car accident this weekend in New Hampshire after assisting a domestic violence victim.

00:00:30.520 Giuliani's car, which he wasn't driving, he was a passenger in, was rear-ended by a 19-year-old female.

00:00:37.220 Rudy suffered a broken thoracic vertebrae, lacerations, and contusions.

00:00:41.220 Although a long recovery road ahead, Giuliani is set to recover.

00:00:45.880 Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family and everyone involved in the accident.

00:00:50.840 Minnesota Democrat and jihadist Ilhan Omar told the press months ago that it was right-wing misinformation to classify her as a millionaire.

00:01:00.340 Then people started looking to her financials.

00:01:03.040 And she's right.

00:01:04.220 She's not a millionaire. 0.80

00:01:05.580 She is a multi-millionaire.

00:01:08.160 Omar, who makes a salary of less than $200,000 a year, is suddenly somehow worth upwards of $30 million?

00:01:15.780 How could this be?

00:01:17.100 Also, isn't Omar part of the down-with-the-rich crowd that embraces the politics of Bernie Sanders?

00:01:23.840 Ilhan's personal fortune exploded upwards of $30 million in 2024.

00:01:29.020 The Minnesota Democrat disclosed just months after telling people it's ridiculous and categorically false to say that she's worth millions of dollars.

00:01:36.880 Omar reported in her latest financial disclosure that her and her husband, former political consultant Tim Minette, accumulated a net worth at the end of 2024, ranging from at least $6 million to $30 million.

00:01:50.700 Their wealth is derived almost entirely from the value of Minette's ownership in two companies that together were worth no more than $51,000 at the end of 2023.

00:02:02.340 The exact value of Omar's personal fortune at the end of 2024 is unclear.

00:02:07.480 Lawmakers disclosed the value of their holdings and debt in ranges.

00:02:10.960 Still, the figures in Omar's latest disclosures show that her and her husband's net worth skyrocketed at least 3,500% in 2024.

00:02:20.640 Omar's extraordinary accumulation of wealth in 2024 could raise some uncomfortable questions for the Minnesota Democrat,

00:02:28.500 who in February told Business Insider that she's been subject to a, quote,

00:02:32.960 coordinated right-wing disinformation campaign that falsely claims she's worth millions of dollars.

00:02:39.020 I think it's time for Ilhan Omar to start answering some questions or all of us just run for Congress if it's not easy to turn $51,000 into a few million dollars, wouldn't you say?

00:02:51.700 And speaking of crooked members of Congress, Congressman Jerry Nadler of New York, the former House Judiciary Committee chairman who helped lead the impeachment of then-former President Donald Trump,

00:03:02.780 announced on Monday that he would not seek re-election in 2026, ending a 34-year tenure that placed him at the center of the Democrat politics in New York,

00:03:12.820 as well as on the national stage for, well, you all know his Trump derangement syndrome.

00:03:17.000 Nadler confirmed that he's going to retire at the close of his current term, saying his decision was shaped by growing calls for generational change within the Democratic Party.

00:03:26.500 Quote, watching the Biden thing really said something about the necessity for generational change in the party, and I want to respect that, he told the New York Times.

00:03:35.500 Nadler added that a younger successor can maybe do a better job, can maybe help us out more, though he declined to name a preferred replacement. 0.54

00:03:43.140 I'm sure Nadler will have no problem finding somebody just as radical as him, just as crazy as him. 0.92

00:03:50.500 Less than two weeks ago, a woman named Natalie Rose Jones traveled from New York to Washington, D.C. with the intent of killing President Trump. 0.95

00:03:58.800 U.S. Attorney for D.C. Janine Pirro announced her arrest, saying, quote,

00:04:01.900 She was working to have Trump eliminated. She's now in custody. She will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. 0.91

00:04:08.860 Now, this woman has been quietly released by Obama-appointed judge. You ready? It's a name you folks all know.

00:04:16.260 Judge James Bosberg. Yep, that's the same James Bosberg, who is repeatedly interfering in efforts to deport illegal alien criminals.

00:04:24.300 Imagine that, folks. The same judge, Washington, D.C., criminals. This woman went to go kill President Trump, and now she's out. 1.00

00:04:33.640 A 50-year-old Big Apple resident under electronic monitoring on August 27th and ordered so she see a psychiatrist once she gets back home, according to court documents.

00:04:44.280 Now, the surprise released by Bosberg comes just days after a U.S. magistrate judge denied this woman bond over her persistent threats on President Trump's life that she issued over social media in the earlier months.

00:04:57.520 Officials were aware of the concerning post starting in early August, and Jones herself turned Secret Service agents on August 15th that she would, quote,

00:05:05.680 Carry out the mission of killing Trump with a bladed object if she was given the chance.

00:05:11.500 Many of her social media posts tagged federal agencies, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Immigrations, Customs, and Enforcement, and the Department of Homeland Security. 0.53

00:05:21.320 But Bosberg says that she's fine and she's allowed to be out on the street.

00:05:25.880 And speaking of crime, we'll talk about Chicago, which seems right for the National Guard.

00:05:31.520 At least 53 people have been shot, five of them fatally.

00:05:35.260 These shootings and killings just over the long weekend, four-day weekend in Chicago.

00:05:39.300 So, it seems like it's time to send in the National Guard.
