The Great America Show - Mid-Day Update： September 4, 2026

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Friday, September 4th.

00:00:04.740 Happy Friday, folks. I hope you all had a great week and you are ready for the weekends just as much as I am.

00:00:09.660 We've got some big news out of Massachusetts.

00:00:12.300 The judge in the Lindsay Clancy murder case trial has declared a mistrial earlier this afternoon

00:00:18.340 after the defense failed to win a last minute delay from the Massachusetts Supreme Court.

00:00:23.660 The judge's ruling came after the jury sent a note saying, quote unquote, with a heavy heart.

00:00:28.660 it has been unable to reach a verdict after roughly 36 hours of deliberations that decision

00:00:35.500 means that miss clancy who strangled her three children in january of 2023 and what was the

00:00:40.360 defense argued was thrones of postpartum psychosis will likely remain institutionalized while

00:00:46.560 prosecutors decide where to take the case to trial again now the jury note at least the third of what

00:00:53.220 they say is remaining deadlocked came about two hours after the judge declined to remove a juror

00:00:57.980 who appeared to be the lone voice against acquittal in a closely watched case that sharply

00:01:03.720 divided Americans. The courtroom which is in Plymouth Massachusetts was thrown into disarray

00:01:08.100 yesterday by a message to the judge and juror foreperson said that the holdout juror had

00:01:13.700 acknowledged doubt about the case but refused to follow the law that came on the sixth day of

00:01:19.740 deliberations. So folks we sit and we wait but most likely there is going to be a mistrial

00:01:26.080 and they will probably retry her again for strangling her three kids I don't see how you

00:01:32.080 could justify it otherwise speaking of worthless people the WNBA has found themselves in a little 1.00

00:01:38.460 bit of hot water over the course of the last few months I mean the WNBA really came back

00:01:43.500 into popularity when Caitlin Clark was signed all-time scorer in college came to the WNBA and

00:01:49.620 absolutely dominates to which the WNBA hasn't defended her once while she's been brutally 1.00

00:01:55.100 attacked multiple times on the court, also in the media, the worthless WNBA Commissioner

00:02:01.920 Kathy Engelbrecht is deciding to step down as the commissioner, ending a polarizing tenure

00:02:07.900 that saw the league grow exponentially under her watch, of course, of Kate and Clark, but

00:02:13.480 also raised questions about her ability to lead it through an era of increased scrutiny

00:02:17.840 and attention.

00:02:18.880 She informed NBA Commissioner Adam Silver of her decision, like I said, effective at

00:02:23.360 the end of the year to leave. She's had a little bit of a hard time as some former NBA players

00:02:28.840 have decided that they want to take on the WNBA because they are now what they call transgender. 0.66

00:02:34.860 The problem is Ms. Engelbrecht has not been able to define or figure out what a woman is and has 0.77

00:02:41.340 current transgenders playing in her league right now but has declined to allow these two former

00:02:46.920 NBA players who are now self-declared women to be able to play in the league. So we watch her

00:02:53.240 leave and we cheer the u.s jobs numbers came in this month and they are great more than three

00:02:59.740 times what economists were predicting for the end of august while june and july figures were also

00:03:05.580 updated upwards a little bit of difference from when the biden administration was in power they

00:03:11.220 were often updated downwards the bureau of labor statistics reported that 162 000 jobs were created

00:03:17.380 in august while the unemployment rate remained unchanged at a low 4.1 percent the bls also

00:03:23.440 noted that the average monthly gain over the previous 12 months has been 31 000 total number

00:03:28.300 of jobs added june was revised up from 20 000 to 31 000 and july up from 44 000 from what a

00:03:36.200 previous 21 000 versus a job loss of 23 000 as originally reported so a little bit of a change

00:03:42.920 there i hate when they get it wrong especially when it's in favor for the marxist dems an

00:03:50.180 incredible numbers also out today american foreign-born population has declined by an

00:03:54.360 estimated near three million people during the first year and a half of president trump's second

00:03:59.020 term now this is a historic reversal following four years of joe biden's catastrophic border

00:04:03.800 policies according to a new analysis released by the center for immigration studies the foreign-born

00:04:09.100 population fell from approximately 53 million which was in january of 2025 about 50.5 million

00:04:17.100 in july of 2026 the 2.9 million figure includes naturalized citizens lawful permanent residents

00:04:25.020 long temporary visa holders and illegal immigrants however cis's preliminary estimates that the

00:04:31.580 illegal immigration population alone climbed by roughly 2.3 million falling approximately to 15.8

00:04:38.120 million in january of 2025 to 13 and a half million in july of 2026 i still think they're

00:04:44.800 being a little bit too conservative uh on that number folks please be sure to join us tonight

00:04:49.680 and each and every night for the great america show rumble youtube twitter wherever you guys
