The Great America Show - Mid-Day Update： September 8, 2025

00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Monday,

00:00:03.600 September 8th. It was a bad day for the Marxist Dems and it was a great day for the rule of law. 0.76

00:00:08.900 The Supreme Court earlier this afternoon smacking down a Biden-appointed judge

00:00:12.540 and allowing the Trump administration to resume their sweeping immigration raids.

00:00:17.440 Three liberal justices, Kagan, Jackson, and Sotomayor dissenting. Sotomayor fuming in

00:00:22.860 her dissenting opinion, quote, we should not have to live in a country where the government

00:00:26.700 can seize anyone who looks Latino, speaks Spanish, and appears to work a low-wage job.

00:00:32.600 Rather than stand idly by while our Constitution freedoms are lost, I dissent. Imagine that.

00:00:38.720 This ruling today from the Supreme Court clears the way for President Trump's administration to

00:00:42.460 resume their sweeping immigration enforcement stops in Los Angeles and the area surrounding it as part

00:00:47.840 of the President's campaign to carry out mass deportations of people who are in the United

00:00:52.700 States illegally. Now the reason it ended up in the Supreme Court was because last month the

00:00:57.140 Federal Appeals Court kept in place a lower court's order blocking President Trump's DHS from carrying

00:01:02.120 out these sweeping immigration raids in Southern California. The Ninth Circuit Court, of course,

00:01:07.280 of appeals, stacked with Biden and Clinton judges, sided with an earlier judge with the July order,

00:01:13.140 Supreme Court now ruling in President Trump's favor. In yet another win for President Trump today,

00:01:18.220 a Federal Appeals Court on Monday dismissed a lawsuit filed by the Democrat state attorney general,

00:01:22.700 challenged them the mass firing of probationary workers. The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals,

00:01:28.020 in a two-to-one decision, said that the 19 blue states did not have the legal standing to sue the

00:01:32.960 Trump administration over these mass firings. President Trump previously fired tens of thousands

00:01:38.040 of probationary workers as he worked to downsize the federal government and cut waste. Earlier this

00:01:44.120 year, a federal judge ordered that President Trump rehire approximately 20,000 probationary workers

00:01:49.480 across 18 different agencies. The U.S. District Judge, of course, an Obama appointee, said that the Trump

00:01:55.440 administration cannot conduct massive layoffs without warnings to the workers. In April, the Fourth

00:02:01.180 Court of Appeals cleared the way for President Trump to fire these thousands of probationary workers

00:02:05.020 and heard arguments in the spring. On Monday, the Virginia-based Fourth Court of Appeals

00:02:10.860 finally dismissed the lawsuit against President Trump and his administration. If you thought that

00:02:17.140 was all the winning, there's more. Earlier this afternoon, also at the Supreme Court, the Supreme

00:02:23.220 Court allowing President Trump to fire Biden-appointed FTC Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter. Last

00:02:28.840 Tuesday, a federal appeals court reinstated the Biden appointee to the Federal Trade Commission,

00:02:32.960 despite President Trump's previous attempt to fire her. The Marxist Dems are losing at every single

00:02:39.100 turn. They don't know what to do. Speaking of Marxist Dems, another one is finding themselves in a

00:02:45.100 little bit of hot water as revelations of fraud continue to pour out. New York Attorney General

00:02:50.720 Letitia James finding herself in another bit of a pickle. Letitia James' New York state mortgage records

00:02:56.060 indicate that she may have committed more mortgage fraud on a $200,000 credit line mortgage with Citizens Bank

00:03:02.460 back in 2021. Like other mortgages, it requires a signed note, mortgage document, and recorded with

00:03:08.760 the county clerk. The mortgage documents show that James misrepresented her five-unit apartment

00:03:13.700 building as a single-family dwelling. Now, the reason this becomes a little bit of an issue is

00:03:20.000 because Letitia James, on other mortgage documents, said it was a four-person dwelling so that she didn't

00:03:26.120 have to get a commercial mortgage. We then find out it was a five-person dwelling according to the

00:03:30.620 certificate of occupancy. But in this latest mortgage fraud, I guess you can call it,

00:03:37.520 she said it was a single-family home. This is the one in 2021 with Citizens Bank. So is it four,

00:03:44.120 five, or one? Well, the certificate of occupancy says it's one. Letitia James, I think probably the

00:03:51.060 biggest mortgage fraud purveyor of them all. This is the same thing that she accused President Trump

00:03:57.240 of. It's sort of strange that she's now finding herself in this situation. And it was another

00:04:02.900 rough weekend in Chicago for the Marxist Dems. At least 19 people were shot, seven of them fatally

00:04:08.620 during the weekend, across Mayor Johnson's Chicago. CBS News reported that this weekend's first fatal

00:04:15.600 shooting occurred on Friday at about 9.30 p.m. Two men got into an argument and a gun was produced.

00:04:21.760 The gun was fired as two men fought over it. A 31-year-old man was shot in the head and killed.

00:04:28.580 Second fatal shooting occurred on Saturday at 10.13 a.m. just hours later. A man was standing

00:04:34.160 outside when someone approached him with a gun, opened fire, shooting him numerous times

00:04:37.620 and killing him. We'll just stop there. No reason to go back over the other five that were killed.

00:04:44.520 But I think President Trump has given them far too long of a leash and it's time to send them to the

00:04:48.660 National Guard, get it over with, send them in and start cleaning up Chicago just as he did in 0.77

00:04:53.660 Washington, D.C., just as he did in Los Angeles and just as he's going to do, I believe, in New York

00:04:58.200 City. It's time to stop letting these people get away with murder as they've continued to do.
